MUNCIE, Ind., Aug. 19 (UPI) — The death toll from the collapse of a stage at the Indiana State Fair rose to six Friday.
Ball State University senior Jennifer Haskell, 22, of Muncie, was injured in the Saturday accident as a storm toppled the stage, the Muncie Star-Press reported.
“After a long courageous battle, Jenny Haskell died at 8:15 this morning from her injuries sustained from the tragedy at the State Fair,” a statement issued by her uncle, Mike Whited, said.
“Jenny’s family would like to thank everyone for their support and prayers during this difficult time. Continued support and prayers from the remaining victims would be greatly appreciated.”
