6-Foot Gator Caught At Louisiana Motel
PORT ALLEN, La., (UPI) — Authorities in Louisiana said a 6-foot alligator was found at a Super 8 motel and bit a guest before it was captured.
The West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office said the gator was spotted at the North Lobdell Highway motel in Port Allen around 4 p.m. Wednesday and the animal bit a hotel guest who attempted to catch it before authorities arrived, The Advocate, Baton Rouge, reported Thursday.
Matt Marszal, the motel’s front desk clerk, said animal control officers were able to capture the alligator in about 5 minutes.
Marszal said the man who was bitten by the alligator was taken to a local hospital.
