4 Arrested In Deadly Brinks Robbery

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla., Aug. 22 (UPI) — Four people have been arrested in the robbery of a Brinks armored truck that resulted in the death of a guard in Florida, police say.

The South Florida Violent Crimes Task Force arrested Vladimir Louissant, 25, Victoria Barkley, 26, Byron Kyler, 23, and Reginald Mitchell, 26, who were all expected to face federal charges for the robbery and shooting that took place Sunday, The Miami Herald reported.

The four, all of Miami Gardens, Fla., allegedly followed the Brinks truck from a Walmart to the Calder Casino and Race Course in Miami Gardens. The guard was shot as he walked out of the casino.

The guard was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center, where he later died.
