SEATTLE (UPI) — A Seattle car dealership is poised to pay out a total $420,000 to 12 contest winners following the Seattle Seahawks’ 23-0 shutout of the New York Giants.
Jet Chevrolet General Manager Mike Gates said Sunday he was awaiting instructions from insurance and promotions companies the business paired with for the “Seattle shutout” promotion, which promised $35,000 to 12 winners of a drawing to be held in the event of a Seahawks shutout victory, KOMO reported Monday.
Gates said anyone who filled out a form was entered in the drawing for free, and anyone who bought a car at the business was entered 100 times.
Gates said he was awaiting word from the insurance and promotions companies before holding the drawing. However, he said the dealership would not back out of the promotion.
“I’m a man of my word,” Gates said.
