Inhofe Salivates Over Prospect Of War With Hermit Kingdom
Bellicose language, it seems, is not reserved for Hermit Kingdom dictator Kim Jong-un. Hawkish Senator James Inhofe (R-Okla.), the ranking member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, said in a recent interview that the United States should prepare immediately to strike North Korea.
“We should be prepared to do it right now,’’ Inhofe told Newsmax.
“In terms of the capability we have out there with the F-22s and the battleships… a pre-emptive strike from something like that would get their attention.’’
The Senator concedes that a pre-emptive strike is the best option because the younger Kim is less predictable and more unreasonable than his father Kim Jong-il.
“[He] is just as bad as his daddy was. He’s not reliable in terms of what he might do, what he might say, but he is capable of doing it because he’s deranged,’’ Inhofe said.
North Korea, notorious for making threats against the United States, has vowed to respond to any American military provocations with “cutting-edge smaller, lighter and diversified nuclear strike means.”
