Who the Hell does she think she’s kidding? The intent is clear. Someone may wish to advise the dumb mayor that law enforcement ALREADY has the authority to confiscate a weapon when they are being directly threatened, and you don’t need a cover-all confiscation ordinance to give it teeth.

What does she think confiscate means? It is during a disaster or state of emergency that the people will need their fire arms. This is idiotic.

seems in every disaster the theives and low lives come out. june of 1976 a tornado hit emporia ,ks. i was in the mall when it struck it. there were a fess injured. i had a few little cuts. they still took me to the hospital for treatment. there was this story hor someone was caught running out of the mall with a shopping cart with a cash register in it. seems like in any situation like this there is always some dumbass lowlife pulling something like this. people should not be disarmed in cities w that get hit by things like tornadoes, hurricanes, earth quakes or other maladies. it always seems to be the case. they had the problem in new orleans with the hurricane. the thieves hit the city. people were disarmed. you can bet some of the thieves had guns and if innocent citizens were disarmed some of the lowlifes would had a free for all. it happens everywhere in these situations. let the law abiding keep their guns. instead pass laws on those who violate the rights of the innocent. make the penalties so harsh they’d be scared to do anything. scared criminals would think twice about doing anything.

AND…the definition of “Major Disaster” is????……..I’m sure the politicians would have many definitions………most likely a convienience for them…….think about that leaky bucket for awhile!

If a major disaster happens, wont the police have better things to do then confiscate weapons. Also, if a major disaster happens, it always brings out the thugs, scum and punks. I would like to be able to defend myself.

If I remember correctly, wasn’t it the police who were found looting and pillaging the evacuees property, also stealing guns? Public officials, supported by the taxpayers, begin to think they are kings and queens…with police as their army. I thought the police were paid for by the taxpayer to protect the taxpayer??? Now they are being used as “brown shirts” against the citizens. This woman should be confronted with her lack of loyalty to the citizens and her country.

What everybody needs to remember or be aware of is that she is going to be protected by an armed security force with guns during this disaster. Remember she is the only important one here, not you or I. Her elitist way of thinking is such that you and I are expendable, only her level and above are worth protecting during such times.
