Lotto Winner Inspires Toilet Paper Donation

WEST CHESTER, Ohio, (UPI) – Procter & Gamble Co. said an Ohio lottery winner’s generosity inspired the company to donate 5,000 rolls of toilet paper to a non-profit in her name.
Regina Jackson, who won a $1 million jackpot from the Ohio Lottery New Year’s Raffle, said she wanted to donate a truckload of toilet paper to Reach Out Lakota, a non-profit that was there for her in a time of need, but she decided to donate cash instead because she didn’t know how to obtain large amounts of the bathroom tissue, the Cincinnati Enquirer reported Monday.
“When we heard about Regina. We were just inspired to give back,” said Laura Dressman, communications manager for Charmin, which is owned by Procter & Gamble Co. “We are thrilled to donate 5,000 rolls of toilet paper in her name. We are dedicated to the local community, and we hope the donation helps Reach Out Lakota further assist other families.”
The company said the $4,200 worth of toilet paper is expected to arrive at the Reach Out Lakota office in West Chester Thursday.
“I couldn’t wish for anything better,” Jackson said after hearing about the donation.
