Republicans Vow Outreach To Minorities

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (UPI) — Republican leaders at the annual House GOP’s issues conference held in Williamsburg, Va., said they are pledging to expand their reach to minorities and women.

Representative Greg Walden (R-Ore.), the new chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee, repeated the vow again Thursday.

“It’s an important priority for me as a chairman and for our committee as a whole,” he told reporters during the conference.

The Hill said Hispanics supported President Barack Obama over Republican nominee Mitt Romney in the 2012 election by a margin of 71 percent to 27 percent.

Obama won the women’s vote, 55 percent to 44 percent, The Hill reported.

Walden said Representative Jaime Herrera Beutler (R-Wash.) would spearhead an effort to reach out to women and that two other Congressional Republicans would do the same for Native Americans.

“We will be building out, further and deeper, into the minority communities,” he said. “We recognize that Republicans have good answers, we just have bad communications in many cases.”

    Whatta load of hogwash. Yeah, they love to be in the doctor’s office with women to tell them what to do with their bodies. Gay? You should not have the right to form a contract with your partner as guaranteed in the constitution. The GOP are exclusionists, they change the laws to suit their sick religion. Face it GOP, there are not enough pasty white folks to make a majority anymore! The only thing the GOP has is to find ways to exclude voters. Real patriots, huh? Whiny little brats.

      How about just leaving those issues out of government and legislation and allowing people to choose for themselves? We don’t need government ruling and regulating every aspect of our lives.

BLACK WOMEN ARE BROUGHT UP WITH VERY STRICT MORAL CODES. EVEN DIFFERENT SEXUAL ACTS WITH THEIR HUSBANDS AND BOYFRIENDS ARE FORBIDDEN. NOW BECAUSE EVERYONE WATCH REALITY SHOWS AND WOMEN LIKE THE KASDASHIANS, AND LOHAN THEY ARE FOLLOWING THE SAME DESTRUCTIVE ROAD. A BLACK WOMAN WITH A WHITE MAN , AND A BLACK MAN WITH A WHITE WOMAN WAS CONSIDERED WRONG. IT WAS NOT THAT WHITE PEOPLE WERE CONSIDERED BAD, IT WAS A RESPECTFUL THING TO DO.
        AND WOMEN CHANGING MEN LIKE THEY CHANGE THEIR UNDERWEAR, WAS DISGRACEFUL.
        OBAMA HAVE LEAD BLACK AMERICANS TO A PLACE OF DARKNESS. HE HAVE DESTROYED MILLIONS OF PEOPLE LIVES. OBAMA DID THIS JUST TO WIN AND TO REMAIN PRESIDENT.     myopinion, WHITE people came here as minorities seeking a better life, like it or not, and they seem to have changed the whole face of this nation so that it actually resembles nothing that came before. It has similarities to a lot of things, but is exactly none of them, because the minorities HAVE worked their changes on it. Did you ever hear the old saying, grow or die, usually referring to businesses? It doesn’t necessarily mean get larger, but grow in what it represents itself as being. Each group of immigrants brings something new to this country, and changes it by doing so, yet people like you would deny that change as something to be feared. It may need a bit of guidance, but change IS going to happen, or we as a nation ARE going to die.

God created all races and gave all races their own countrys, it’s time we lay down no longer and be run over by our own government, to take away our rights as a free nation and self governing people.     Why would Republicans have to “reach out” to minorities? Are they independent, autonomous enclaves in this country whose demands better be met or else? And everyone knows that there hasn’t been a legal immigrant from Central and South America since the mid-80′s with all the amnesties given in the last 20 + years. So they certainly are going to vote (with their false documents) for the apologists and enablers.

      So those people who came here for sanctuary are now ILLEGAL immigrants, simply because they didn’t spend ten to twenty years waiting for their paperwork to be approved? They came here because they actually feared, legitimately, being killed in their home countries. I am not talking about the simple fear of starvation that quite a number of people face every day, but the fear that their personal beliefs would draw the attention of those who do not like anyone who doesn’t think like them.         Since LBJ in 1965, they’ve been bringing in 100,000 mostly third-world immigrants into America every month of every year, and still are. And that’s only the legal ones.

        I’ll leave it to you guys to calculate the numbers, but what it spells is doom for the hard-working Americans who brought this country to greatness. The proof is self-evident of what this multi-cultural debacle has been about.

    What can the Republicans give to the ninety percent of Blacks that receive most if not all of their income from government? They do not want a job when they can make the equivalent to $60,000 per year by simply complaining and watching reality tv. The only thing that will motivate these people is to make them unconfortable in their current situation and the Republicans do not have the balls to do that. Their only hope is to educate the blacks that the Dems are the people that were the KKK and passed the racial laws and the people that continues to stand in their way to real equality.

    Hey,what part of the country they talking about and whom?!when my daughter and i lived in southern California,we were the minority!!that’s right,white people!ha ha ha,can you believe that?a white guy and his girl were!we would get put to bottom of list at county clinic,took forever to get waited on or even served at a fast food joint!i couldn’t even send her to a public school anymore because she was picked on and constantly molested by the mexican and black boys and outcast by the girls because she was blonde and blue eyed!!so,who you talking about?!and where in the United States?!GOP’s needs to think before they jump!

      “Will do the same for the Native Americans”. LOL! Doesn’t matter which party the Native Americans are always at the bottom of the totem pole. Gambling might be an exception but most (very few individuals) of them became wealthy because of white investors.

      The GOP will have to water down their views of the Constitution in order to take in more minorities and Hispanics. They will also have to enable more handouts to them also. That’s why most minorities, Hispanics and some women vote for Democrats. So, the GOP should merge with the Democrats if they do that. This will make the Libertarian party stranger in the end.

        1/22/13, I’m not an alarmist but I predicted sometime in my life, from here on, I’d see civil unrest over this imperious regime. This summer could be it, as much as I dread the thought. Minorities, especially blacks may wax big about freedom & opportunity but gravitate to tyrants nonetheless. This president makes no pretense about rule by exec fiat; he’s got nothing to lose.

      They’re not doing a very good job of reaching out to middle class white guys or anybody else. They should be having media event to educate people. Like to explain how Obama is killing jobs with taxes and regulations. A d how people having guns prevents crime.

      Having said that, they could push for school choice, so minorities could get their kids out of very bad, very liberal schools. W. Bush said he was for it in 2000, but he backed off and let Ted Kennedy write his education bill. They could also explain how the Keystone XL pipeline and more drilling will help keep oil prices down and help business make more jobs. Maybe also how Warren Buffet is making billions shipping oil by his railroad because the pipeline is delayed.
