Obama’s Women

January 16, 2013 by

Obama’s Women
UPI FILE
It isn't unusual to find senior adviser Valerie Jarrett, left, with Michelle and Barack Obama. Jarrett is a fixture at the White House.

I wrote this headline to get your attention. The truth is that President Barack Obama is nothing like President John F. Kennedy. He isn’t even like President Bill Clinton, who pretended to be Kennedy by chasing young interns around the Oval Office instead of sleeping with Hollywood starlets or mob bosses’ girlfriends.

Instead, Obama has a much more complex relationship with women who put the Nation in greater jeopardy than any women who were friends of Kennedy or Clinton. (Fair warning: If you are a women’s rights activist, please stop reading. Otherwise, I will have to wade through all your hate email.)

Obama is no cad; he is, as Arnold Schwarzenegger might say, “a girly man.” He is not strong enough to take a leadership role as President, but instead lets two women run his life and the country. In this way, the President is a weakling reminiscent of King Edward VIII, the man who doted on Wallis Simpson’s every wish. He is not like President Dwight D. Eisenhower, who had a dalliance with his driver, Capt. Kay Summersby, while he was the Supreme Allied Commander.

I have nothing against women as leaders. I would prefer Hillary Clinton as President to Obama. What I don’t like is a man with responsibility who hides behind the designer dresses of women. And, my friends, this is the man and President that Obama is.

Exhibit A: Valerie Jarrett

Late last year, Richard Minter, a New York Times bestselling writer, released his newest book, Leading From Behind.

The book jacket tells much:

Leading from Behind reveals a president who is indecisive, moody, and often paralyzed by competing political considerations. Many victories–as well as significant failures–during the Obama presidency are revealed to be the work of strong women, who led when the president did not: then-Speaker Nancy Pelosi; Secretary of State Hillary Clinton; and Valerie Jarrett, his closest adviser and an Obama family confidante, whose unusual degree of influence has been a source of conflict with veteran political insiders.

Minter focuses on Jarrett, saying she has a “Rasputin-like” hold over Obama. According to Minter, Jarrett is the kingpin in the Obama Administration and she has misused “her extraordinary access” to the President. Upon further research, I discovered she has full-time Secret Service protection and a staff of nearly three dozen.

Born to American parents and raised for the first five years of her life in Iran, Jarrett shares many of the same principles Obama has regarding the future and diminished role for the United States.

Jarrett is an African-American intellectual who launched the careers of both the first lady and the President beginning in the early 1990s. She influences foreign and domestic policies of the President, from Obamacare to his staunch anti-Israel position.

They are reportedly kindred spirits and, while Jarrett has managed to stay under the liberal media’s radar, Minter’s book has flushed out the truth about this woman:

Jarrett’s White House role is unprecedented. She meets privately with the president at least twice a day with no one else present. Her influence is enormous and wide-ranging. She wields informal power, like a first lady; scheduling power, like a chief of staff; and power over policy, like a special envoy.  She has the unusual freedom to put herself in any meeting she chooses and to set the priorities as she sees fit. When The New York Times’s Robert Draper asked Obama if he “runs every decision past her,” the president answered immediately: “Yep. Absolutely.”

Every decision?

Yes, Jarrett’s scope is as unlimited as it sounds. She has “wide latitude over how she spends her day” and that makes her “close to omniscient.”

Exhibit B: Michelle Obama

This comes from People magazine. (I admit that while my wife buys it, I do read it — or at least look at the pictures.) People recently published its special year-end edition which included a long interview in which Obama seems fixated about his wife and daughters. Included among the many photos of the President and the first lady is one with this cutline: “’ANGLE, ANGLE!’ Mrs. Obama (with the President in the Palm Room Dec. 6) tried to position her husband just so. ‘He has only one good side.’”

On May 14, Obama was speaking to graduates of Bernard College: “You can be stylish and powerful, too. That’s Michelle’s advice.”

The first lady’s hands-on style may be far more ambitious than just passing on advice.

Last month, actor Samuel L. Jackson came out as a supporter of Michelle Obama as a Presidential candidate. Jackson, an outspoken liberal who favors greater government involvement in poor urban areas, told Newsweek that the first lady is a “Superwoman” who could hold any office she wants.

If Michelle Obama were to run for the highest office, her campaign would likely be orchestrated by the person who mentored her in Chicago, Jarrett.

Newsweek reported that James Clyburn, a high ranking African-American member of the House, also can see Michelle Obama in office.

“She’s honest and straightforward, which is not what you see in Washington much. She is exactly what we need around here,” he said.

So far, Michelle Obama has denied any political ambitions; but, then again, Hillary Clinton made similar claims.

Most first ladies have considerable influence over their husbands. Nancy Reagan was perhaps President Ronald Reagan’s only close personal friend. And while Nancy Reagan was protective of her husband and even had some top advisers fired, she stayed on the periphery of the Presidency, using her influence to help people “just say no” to drugs.

I am not claiming that the first lady should not be the first and strongest backer of her husband. What I am saying is that we do not cast our vote for the first lady; we cast it for her husband.

My question: Just when you think the end is in sight (regrettably, that will be four years from now), is it possible for the Obama family to remain in the White House for another eight years beyond the end of Barack Obama’s Presidency? It is conceivable that there is enough support for Michelle Obama to make a run at the White House in the 2016 election. Her odds may be slim, but the potential exists to stretch the Obamas’ reign to the year 2024.

I wonder whether either the Clintons or the Obamas have found the loophole around the 22nd Amendment. Passed on March 21, 1947, and ratified by the States in 1951, it limited a President to two four-year terms. It was a different era; I doubt anyone gave consideration to the idea that Bess Truman would extend the Truman Presidency another eight years.

Regardless of what may happen four years from now, we are stuck with Barack Obama, a President who, according to friends and critics, is unusually closeted and who is influenced too much by two women in his White House. Who would think that when it came to Presidential politics we would miss Marilyn Monroe?

Yours in good times and bad,

Seems like everyone is talking AROUND the point of the whole article, with which I agree wholeheartedly, that Obama is indecisive, a POOR leader and extremely dependent upon these and other women (Clinton) to give him some backbone and ideas. And unfortunately, with Jarrett, the ideas are those with which I would be totally against — such as her anti-Israel stance and the desire to bring the US down in global influence, and that it is OK for Iran to get a nuclear weapon.

The idea that Obama is unduly influenced by Jarrett and his wife is supported also in the book, Amateur, as well as this one “Leading from Behind” (which is the stupidest phrase I have ever heard, but which is exactly what teflon Obama does, which is, he DOESN’T lead, he just lets other influences hold stway, let’s other people and countries lead, or he divides).

The movie, “2016″ doesn’t address the issue of the strong influence of Valerie Jarrett as far as I remember, but there is a quote from a middle-eastern expert that I remember well. He states that if Obama gets his way, the world we may soon wake up to will be a much more brutal and dangerous world if the US is destroyed financially, politically, morally and militarily, as I see Obama doing his best to accomplish. How he got reelected is beyond me.

John say’” He is not strong enough to take a leadership role as President, but instead lets two women run his life and the country. In this way, the President is a weakling reminiscent of King Edward VIII, the man who doted on Wallis Simpson’s every wish. He is not like President Dwight D. Eisenhower, who had a dalliance with his driver, Capt. Kay Summersby, while he was the Supreme Allied Commander.”

Well John, ~ If it’s a comparative / contrast thing, ~ then you are very correct, Obama is unlike either of this men. ~ I was not aware of there was this need to be.

As far as all this strong/ weak thing ~ if a man has a woman or three around, he’s being ran where he or you wish to admit it or not. That is the nature of women, they tend to lead for the rear.

That’s just the way it works and it’s not really that bad of a thing and most mature men understand it for what it is.

In as far as this statement that the president not being strong enough to lead today really doesn’t say much about the whole GOP party. ~ If Obama is truly being ran by women as you say ~ then the GOP has been “bested” by just a few women. Maybe the GOP needs some stronger women , women that refused to be cowtailed down by some old farts that have yet to understand which side their bread is buttered on?

For any man that cannot develop the skills to connect with women is a weakness and not strength since they all the things that a man seeks and own half of everything else.

It sounds as if you are attempting to sell the notion that Obama is a sissy boy to your readers today. ~ Well, good luck with that ~ I’m certain that you will enjoy some success with it “here” among your readers ~ but that ole dog just won’t hunt anywhere else, places where it really counts.

Your readers don’t like him anyway ~ and willing to be in agreement with any charge that you feel inclined to level against Obama.

I find it a comfort that I no longer feel the need to defend Obama today ~ He has secured his 2nd term soundly defeating a field of some of the weakest contenders that the GOP might ever hope to muster up.

Obama will continue to disappoint you with you left to play down his success on many fronts. Look at it as “job security” ~ You know what you are going to be do tomorrow and where the payroll check is coming from.

Hillary was my first choice as well, ~ but I said that back when it might have counted however I will not support her for future office, ~ as I see a time to pasture a good work horse and bring forward new blood. Needless to say ~ her council will still be available for those that seek it and she will still play a part in our nations political landscape.

Sexist thinking ~ has existed for a very long time and I’d never expect it to just somehow magically disappear and go away. Even the bible is written in a male sexist precept which means that, ~ men can’t see it or that God is a Dude. ~ I have come to believe both. LOL!

The Powers to Be decide who will run for President and who will come out the winner, The public still has no idea how their system works. As always the people ended up with 2 to vote for and either one would have suited their purpose. But it was geared for Obama to win. Sheep just following the Bell.

      • Jeff

A fine theory. The only problem is you have absolutely no evidence to support it. If anyone actually wanted Ron Paul to be President, he’d at least have won some state primaries.

      • http://wildeyguns.com The Christian American

        Jeff –
Few wanted Ron Paul because he wasn’t a candy man. He made people look at themselves and, hopefully, realize their potentials as persons instead of looking for a handout from the district of criminals.

      • Jeff

Is that what you call his racist diatribes in his Newsletters? I take it “Christian American” is some skinhead gang having no connection to the teachings of Jesus?

  • Kolob

Wow, between Myers ridiculous article and Steve’s cigar comments…I love showing this trash to my conservative friend. The nutbags belong to the right. At least far lefties just want to save the planet. You guys live in a fantasy world! sickos.

    • Observer

Globally warm leftist you mean? One who sold his TV station to Al Jazeera… financed by drilling oil in Qatar??? So they can educate people like you about how good Islam is and how evil Israel is? I am amazed how blind people are here… If not on drugs, then, just speaking as a doctor, in need of serious help… even though they seem to be beyond it.

  • steve

Look up is Obama gay or homosexual on Google or YouTube, what I read nearly knocked me off seat.
From what I have read Obama was into cocaine an older white men, this might explain Joe Biden.

If you want the truth, definitely go look at some of the you tube videos,if you can handle it.

    • Jeff

If you believe everything you read in the National Enquirer, say “hello” to Elvis for me when you guys meet up at the KFC in Little Rock.

    • jopa

steve; If you want some more Internet reality Google “santorum” and see what you come up with.

      • Deerinwater

That’s a riot Jopa ~ ~ how gross! ~ Rick Santorum now has to live with making history ~ in an odd way indeed. ~ I sure hope that’s the last we hear from him ~ I still have a hard time understanding how him or Herman Cain made it as far as they did. ~ And the GOP wonders what when wrong? ~ it’s more a question of what when right? ~ Nothing! that’s what!

  • ToughGuy1

    Obama is a Islamist!

    • Jeff

QUERY: Is being stupid a prerequisite to being a Tough Guy or is it an after effect?

  • jerry

SMOKE AND MIRRORS, DECEPTION. Barak Hussain Obama is an islamic Caliph and he is carrying out his mandate to destroy America and bring in sharia to convert America to islam.

The most active physically fit President the country has ever had and the author calls him a girly man.Not only fit muscle wise but a true intellect that we have never seen in the oval office in history.I think somebodies candidate lost and is jealous, too bad so sad for your hurt feelings but you will have one of your wishes granted in that Hillary will be our next President. If you don’t believe me Wayne Alan Root will probably predict her to lose by a landslide.

    • momo

jopa says: “.Not only fit muscle wise but a true intellect that we have never seen in the oval office in history”

John F. Kennedy held a dinner in the white House for a group of the brightest minds in the nation at that time.. He made this statement:” This is perhaps the assembly of the most intelligence ever to gather at one time in the White House with the exception of when Thomas Jefferson dined alone.”

  • Steve

    I wonder what Jarrett knows.

    • Jeff

Fortunately, a lot more than you.

    • ranger09

Well twice a day,?? Wonder what they talk about.

  • Sharleen P

Hello, this article has truth in it, but it also is bias too. Yes, I agree that Michele and the presidents adviser (Jarrett) are allowed to influence Barack too much, but many presidents have had this same influence in the background and yet it wasn’t as publicized. I do agree that Barack and his wife feel that being on TV and in the public eye is much more important and seem to think they are Hollywood stars. Yes, Michele has done very little as a first lady because she is too busy trying to make sure they are perceived as the glamorous couple in Washington. She never ate healthy prior to the White House where she has a full-time cook and can run around proclaiming that she and her family are such healthy people. Yes, obesity is a problem in this country, but maybe start passing laws that stop permitting big businesses to feed us chemicals that have attributed to the weight problems, so that they can profit more.

Barack has a problem with getting along with congress and is a president that refuses to believe that anyone else is as smart as him. This same statement applies to many in congress too, who feel that they were voted in office to work as few days as possible, vote based on their personal feelings and ego and not the people they are supposed to be representing.

Let’s remember that what happened in this country prior to Barack being elected the first time, which can speak for itself in showing us that politicians are out for themselves be it male or female, big businesses and wall street have ruled our country with their lobbyists. Very few of the politicians this country has had in the last 25 years were elected based on their ability to perform as the constitution states they should be while in office, but in fact they got into office because they outperformed their opponents because of having more clout or money backing them.

Stop acting like this one president is the only one that has done badly because the blame for this countries mess falls on many laps over the last few decades, which even includes the media and journalism that promotes only the prestigious candidates during elections and never gives time to the less wealthier running for office. The mess we are in is because of greed of Corporate America, Wall Street, many politicians, our supreme court, the journalists and media of this country, churches and not for profits and businesses who promoted illegals, refugees (falsified claims many times) other legal immigrants, and visa workers getting more rights and help than citizens. We can also include in this list the continuous belief represented by politicians, and not for profits and believed by many that welfare should be handed out freely for lifetimes to those that feel they should be given, housing, food, clothes, medical and the ability to provide the world with children they conceived while being taken care of. And let’s not forget about how the illegals children born here are considered citizens and yet the constitution states otherwise. Our country is in a mess because of selfishness, greed, and a continued supply of people coming here to live off the country and the ignorance of our congress to keep giving aid to countries that hate us and/or refuse to stand on their own feet plus just think they should get aid from us while we are being taken over by our debt to China.

Wake up, this didn’t happen overnight!

    • http://goggle Dale sorenson

You know that I don’t know everything….and I know you don’t know everything so this is a great place to start if you agree. I or you were not elected to the office of the President of the USA…he got the votes…It’s my belief he is trying to make a better tomorrow for our country……so I’m not going to tear him apart. You have some excellent observations that
are super positive….know you can keep it that way……Cheers.!!!…”nuffsaid

      • ranger09

well i am still trying to find out just what good he did for this country and its people in the past four years, And for that matter what did any politician do for this country or its people. And when was the last time any of you people took a nice vacation.

    • http://wildeyguns.com The Christian American

You can get down to one thing being wrong with America. It’s lost touch with God and no longer functions under his rules of morality. Many people have lost it. Many people never had it.We’ve replaced morality and liberty with laws and bondage, which comes with Satan’s presence in America.

  • http://wildeyguns.com The Christian American

I can understand this. In life a good pair is when the husband pulls the wagon and lets his wife stear it. One without the other, they’re nothing. Bur when the woman becomes a Jezabel or Marie Antoinnette, watch out. From his actions this charimatic quality of Obama’s is the cover of a nothing. he’s the cover over empty pages. His first debate with Romney showed what he is. But what do we do about it? Discounting him, she knows “The best defense is a strong offense”. and that’s exactly what she is doing with the gun issue. In NY people went to bed law abiding people and woke up criminals. We’re getting the punches and haven’t figured our offense yet. Sha knows time is critical. Before he’s even sworn in he’s/she’s made great strides toward his/her goals. It’s a fact. It takes about six weeks to heal from wounds, physical or mental. During that six week period we’re vulnerable.

We must take a breath and band together. Unless there is an emergency meeting between real Republicans, Constitutionalist, Tea Parteirs, Libertarians and other conservative groups, we’re burnt toast. Satan will have won the day.I saw that lesson played out when I was working in Sweden where the socialist party encompassed less than 1/3 of the people and there was eleven conservative parties. The Socialist ran the country.

During the civil war, Grant while he was in the heat of battle sat under a tree eating a pickle sandwich and mapping out his plans. A cannon ball actually hit the tree he sat under. He was out numbered 3 to 1. His men were in full panic but hadn’t quite retreated screaming at him what to do. He was waiting till night fell then he marched his soldiers round and round in front of the enemy lines. creating an illusion that had reinforcements coming in all night. Before sun up the rebels routed and ran.

so you guy’s finally are seeing what i have been saying!a thin skinned man and his henchmen!she’s been whispering crap in his big ears(sound fermilier?)for a long time.since she got up on stage and said” i am for once in my life proud of this country!”she didn’t say-my country-that’s when i knew she was trouble..so,all you guy’s who sent me hate mail can now bend down and KISS MY A$$!

Now that you’ve identified the enemy you should join forces to repel the enemy.

      • sam1966

Well said! Let’s stand together in defeating our common foe. Here is something from the 5th column’s “messiah”:

        http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2013/01/14/obama-again-warns-congressional-republicans-will-not-negotiation-on-debt/

FOR GOD AND COUNTRY! 하나님하고 나라를 위해서!

You need both love of country and faith in God to be a patriot.

“The Bible is the anchor of our liberties.”

        Ulysses S. Grant

      • Jeff

        Faque:

I guess that means you’re in favor of default. Every sane person (even Boehner and Gingrich) knows we can’t default. It is imperative we raise the debt ceiling. If Obama can do it unilaterally that’s great. The majority of House Republicans would rather see the country go to pieces than compromise on their ideology. The Tea Partiers are the truly radical 5th Column we face. 169 of them voted against Hurricane Sandy relief. These mostly southern morons are still fighting the Civil War and you’re their stupidest cheerleader.

  • BJ Dixon

Such nonsense speaks for itself; no further comment is required!

  • Jen

George W.Bush, our 43rd President was Dick Cheney’s puppet. Is it better to be led around by your MALE VP, who has all the gloom and charm of Darth Vader? I do wish that President Obama would ream the conservatives all the time. I am disappointed that he missed his chance to really change the status quo in his first term. Perhaps, without the fear of not being re-elected,we can get something done. The number one mistake of his presidency was giving the banksters a $700 billion bailout, when he should’ve bailed out the American people. If every tax paying citizen had gotten a certain amount of money to pay off their debts,we wouldn’t be in this mess of banks taking people’s houses. Our homes’ values wouldn’t have been cut in half. He made these decisions to try and appease right wingers in Congress, who would rather see Obama fail than for the U.S. to succeed! Try facts!

  • Michael

Mostly agree, but replacing Obama with Hellary would be out of the socialist frying pan and into the femifascist fryer.

  • dan

John : consider the source of the above criticism :)
Val is the manchurian Presidents handler…

  • Jeremy

Oh hell. The “War on women.” lmao. The only type of woman that would buy into that is weak. Real women will rise above what they perceive as “sexism.” The War on women is true but it’s not orchestrated by the right. It’s orchestrated by the left. The left has no problem with drone strikes that kill women and children. This is after 8 years of liberals bitching about Bush doing the same thing. yes they did have a problem with Bush killing women and children. But now that Obama is doing it, it’s not such a big deal. Not to mention, they want to disarm women with their gun control initiatives. Democrats hate women. FACT.

  • Katie

When the liberal attack gophers come out en masse on your comment board, you know you’ve struck a chord. Why is it that liberals think women are infallible? Does it not occur to liberals that women are just as capable of being evil and manipulative as men are?

Give your fellow women some credit. Not all of us are brainwashed into thinking we can survive without men. No, actually some of us are happily married and share common goals and interests with our MAN. we share workloads and responsibilities, and *gasp!* sometimes my husband opens the DOOR for me! Oh what a chauvinist!! Pfft!!

And for those who think Obama is a smart black man who won his secon term by a landslide….well….I can’t get into the details of HOW he won the election, and I agree that he is smart. Otherwise he wouldn’t have surrounded himself with pedastic sociopaths who knew how to get him into the White house. No, he’s not dumb at all. But he is narcissistic, sociopathic, and yes, a girly man.

    • Karolyn

Just because many of us KNOW we can survive without men does not mean we don’t like being treated with respect and don’t like men!

  • Karolyn

And what is wrong with being “influenced by women”? If more men were, this would be a far, far better world.

  • nc

John, me thinks you do protest too much! Are you a secret “girly” man. If Valerie does have all the influence you attribute to her, it seems that Americans at the polls like it every bit as good as the influence of Karl Rove. The skirt does not bother them as much as it bothers you!
When will you wingnuts ever see the light of day? Over 50% of eligible voters are women who for reasons known only to God see themselves as capable as men> Plus their test scores seem to indicate they are more educable! So maybe God and the ladies know something YOU don’t! THAT THEY ARE AS CAPABLE! AND THEY DON’T WANT TO BE TOLD WHAT TO DO WITH THEIR BODIES! SO KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK OF SLAMMING THEM! THE DEMOCRATS WELCOME THEIR VOTES.

WOMEN, AS A GROUP, ARE THE MEN WITH THE MONEY!

  • Karolyn

What a chauvinistic piece of garbage. I suppose only “macho men” can make good presidents? (vs. “girly men”)

    • czman75

Uh, ya…we need men that not afraid to say no!

      • Karolyn

Just because a man is not “macho” does not mean he can’t be intelligent and strong. Look at many of the wealthy and influential men in the world. And just what is “macho?”

      • alpha-lemming

        And Ohhhh tho thenthative!!!!

      • Karolyn

        What???

  • robbiefine@hotmail.com

The person with a problem with women is the person who wrote the article. The president is the best leader since FDR which is why he had the most impressive election victory for a second term president in history. Of course he,s the smart black guy who is dragging America into modern times with universal health care which for some reason drives some of you bonkers but that’s just tough.

    • czman75

Here we have it, folks…living proof that liberalism is a mental illness! “The best leader since FDR”? Dude, what are you smoking?!? WOW, just WOW! You need serious help, guy.

      • robbiefine@hotmail.com

Largest second term electoral win in history. I know that hurts but it is a fact. And I had to laugh when the Mitt’s people tried to explain away Obama’s victory. According to the Romney team the only reason Obama won was because he had a well organized operation that interfaced with the voters in a calm & systematic way and clearly explained Obama’s policies and plans & then got the vote out! Well fancy that. Mitt, on the other hand, who was supposed to be the so-called great business organizer didn’t even have the smarts to do any of that. He was a clown and his fellow GOP candidates should have been running to join Ringling Brothers. And, by the way, your next president will be either Hilary or Biden.

      • Vigilant

“…he had the most impressive election victory for a second term president in history.”

“Largest second term electoral win in history.”

Son, you’re daft. In a list of electoral margins of victory, Obama’s 2012 win was 21 out of 57. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_United_States_presidential_elections_by_Electoral_College_margin

You’re entitled to your own opinions, nut not your own facts.

    • Capitalist at Birth

F.D.R., was one of the worst Presidents in this nations history. I do not have time to waste in a useless attempt to enlighten you. I suggest you do some reading instead o spending so much time on the internet.

      • Gary L

Hey CAB, Don’t waste your breath (key strokes). Naturally an Obama lover would feel the same about FDR. What normal people would see as bad, liberals see as good.

    • Rick Day

You gotta’ be kiddin’ me!!! Best leader since FDR?? Your so-called leader has done everything in his power to turn our government into a socialist society in which the shift of power (and those who ultimately determined the last election) is based upon those whose mantra is “Where’s my free S***?!!” Like most bed-wetting liberals you have no regard for the principles upon which our country was founded. I wonder how our founding fathers would rate your “fraud President” in terms of leadership qualities.

      • robbiefine@hotmail.com

The Founding Fathers would be totally in awe of the current president. Like them he is a highly educated, enlightened, and philosophical well read man. They would be able to have endless and deep conversations with him about all manner of subjects. Mitt would not do that well with them – he’d probably think they were kind of gay given those fancy get ups and hair styles!

      • Rick Day

Wrong, my Socialist friend!! Founding Fathers would’ve been appalled by his philosophical position. They would’ve viewed him as a psudo-intellectual…as someone who thinks he’s smart but has no practical knowledge. As someone who has never had a REAL job, he has no understanding of the real world and endorses the government as the solution to all problems. When in reality, for the most part, the government is the PROBLEM—not the SOLUTION!! I would guess that the Founding Fathers would listen to his drivel and say “God help us if he ever runs our country!!”

      • robbiefine@hotmail.com

Being a community worker as well as a teacher and law professor, and a senator ARE real jobs. They are different than being a brick layer or a truck driver – on that you would be correct.

      • rickd

I’m supposed to be impressed with B.Hussein O?? A community leader!! And, exactly what did he accomplish with this pork-barrel “job”? As a law professor…let’s see…this is the same person who refuses to disclose his college transcripts. And as a senator…exactly what bills was he the primary sponsor? Face it, my Socialist comrade, your hero has no track record of demonstrating any professional success. The only reason he was elected is because he is a glib speaker who was able to sell his trite of “hope and change”. But, in reality it’s been nothing but “hype and blame”. In short he is flashy on the outside but shallow and vacuous on the inside.

      • robbiefine@hotmail.com

I always find it amusing when folks like Donald Trump – and you – start in on the college manuscripts thing. Does this come up because you figure Obama did not do very well at university? That he’s not very smart? Is that it? Let me note that getting into a school like Columbia University is quite demanding. You need top grades. Harvard Law School is one of the toughest universities in the world and not only was the President accepted there but he was twice elected as the Law School Review editor which always goes to the top student and he did it TWICE (that had never happened before). And because he did so well at Harvard he was hired as a law professor at the University of Chicago. His specialty was Constitutional Law. He knows as much about the Constitution as you and Trump combined times 1,000. Yet you and Trump want to see his grades. As if the administrations of those top schools are going to suffer such fools lightly.

      • rickd

You’ve made several refences to Obama being an expert in Constitutional law. If that is so, then please explain (probably rationalize like most liberals do) why he tramples upon the principles of the Constitution and minimizes its importance? As for his intellectual accomplishments I find it amusing that you folks are quick to play the race card when someone asks for sensible supporting documentation to substantiate claims of academic success. I don’t know about you but when I applied for graduate school for my PhD. at the U. of Virginia,I had no hesitation (or choice) about proving that I completed my B.S and M.S. But, I guess that’s because I’m a WASP- not a Muslim-loving, “we don’t have a spending problem”, piss poor excuse for a leader.

      • Jeff

Funny. I heard UVa closed its Ph.D. program in Bigotry and Idiocy.

      • rickd

Lame, Jeff…very lame. It’s a shame you can’t do better than that. But, silly me, why should I think that a liberal would be capable of critical thinking?!! I apologize for confusing you with facts….but it’s not surprising when you’re confronted with the truth.. that’s when you folks attack one’s character and intellect. If we disagree with you in your world that means we can’t understand the complexity of your point. Er…. Very lame…but not surprising of those who are enamored with their knowledge but really are psudo-intellectuals.

      • Jeff

“I don’t know about you but when I applied for graduate school for my PhD. at the U. of Virginia,I had no hesitation (or choice) about proving that I completed my B.S and M.S. You may be a WASP; you’re definitely a bigot. Jefferson must be rolling over in his grave at the thought such a person may receive a Ph.D. from the fine institution he started.

      • rickd

Poor Jeff…he has to resort to name-calling and labeling those who don’t buy into his inane, socialistic drivel. How sad, how pathetic. I sure hope you are more successful in the “real world” than you are in your pitiful attempt to castigate those who disagree with you. (Oh, by the way, if you need help in defining such complex words as inane or drivel, or castigate, try using google. Obviously, you have plenty of time to do this. By the way, do you have a REAL job?!!!)

      • Jeff

I would take you up on your offer, but I just took a graduate-level course in inane drivel (I reread your post.) so I’m all stocked up here.

Perhaps you could actually say something specific like how Obama has trampled on the Constitution or specifically what spending you would like to cut that Republicans in Congress will actually go on record to cut. And let us know how such cuts will impact the economy. And if you can do it without racial or stupid religious references, well – that would be a miracle.

      • rickd

Since you view any criticism of our “fraud President” as being bigoted and any reference to religion as being “stupid”, I doubt that anything I say will get thru to you. But for starters, our country was founded upon religious freedom and as a Cristian nation but BHO says ‘we’re not a Christian nation, and in reality if you espouse Christianity you have fewer freedoms that if you are a Muslim. At one time he says that on a personal level he does not endorse gay marriage, yet ‘flip-flops’ when it is politically expedient to do so. He tells the union that “I owe you” and wages war against those states that support the right-to-work. He says taxes of middle class workers will not go up–yet that’s exactly what happened just since the election. He criticizes the budget deficit when GWB was President but since his election in 2008 the national deficit has surpassed 16 Trillion and now he wants to raise the debt ceiling. He claims we “don’t have a spending problem” Who are you kidding!!! Do you need MORE SPECIFICS??!!

      • Deerinwater

somebody say; “Lame, Jeff…very lame. It’s a shame you can’t do better than that. But, silly me, why should I think that a liberal would be capable of critical thinking?!! I apologize for confusing you with facts….but it’s not surprising when you’re confronted with the truth.. ”

      • robbiefine@hotmail.com

You note that when you applied to a school for your PHd you submitted a transcript of your grades. Of course this is quite normal as you intimate. Did you also display your grades to the general public? Probably not. Well, when Obama applied to and was accepted at Columbia Univ. do you actually think Columbia did not get his grades? And when he applied and was accepted to attend Harvard Univ. do you actually think that Harvard Univ. did not get his grades from Columbia? And when he applied to teach at the Univ. of Chicago law school do you actually think he did so without submitting his entire academic record? Well you did and so did he. If you wish now to post your various grades right here on this site I guess you are free to do so but it is not required. Nor is the President required to start posting his grades and academic record. My guess is that his grades are stellar because the guy is brilliant and because the schools he was accepted at are the best in the nation. You and Donald Trump can suspect all you like that Obama failed every class but if you do you are simply nuts. By the way I’d like to see Trump’s academic record. In fact I demand to see it. Do you think there’s any chance that will ever happen?

      • Jeff

Excellent post. Unfortunately, in this forum, these morons only accept posts about Muslims, commies, and unqualified students who magically become head of the Harvard Law Review. These folks have their own alternate reality where up is down, smart is stupid, and Donald Trump has class.

      • rickd

Obviously you and your Bud, Robbie, are tied at the hip. My point about having to provide transcripts for a graduate program was merely to point out that full disclosure is the “name of the game”. No, I did not have to reveal this to the public, but at the same time I wasn’t running for the highest office in the land either!! If you’re running for Pres of the USA one should have nothing to hide. I find it interesting that you liberals were chomping at the bit to have W’s military records open to Congress. But, I guess the same principles don’t apply to your party’s candidate, right?

      • Gary L

Robbie, Thye most definitely would not be in awe. Dumbstruck perhaps but in awe…not.
Problem is liberals don’t have anything in common with the founding fathers. The founders set up a Constitutional Republic to protect the people from LIBERAL IDEAS.

      • Jeff

“The founders set up a Constitutional Republic to protect the people from LIBERAL IDEAS.”

Did it take years of study or did your ignorance come naturally?

      • robbiefine@hotmail.com

Key similarity would be educated & enlightened. The constitutional expert and professor Obama would have endless conversations over wine with the Founders who were the revolutionary enlightened folks of their day. By contrast yahoos like Sarah Palin, Bachman, Romney, the Pizza Guy, and those other clowns would be staggering around with a bottle of Bud looking for sports scores. You actually don’t know much about the Founders do you? Did you know that the author of most of the important documents – Jefferson – rewrote parts of the Bible leaving out mention of god? I bet you didn’t. I wonder how Republicans would react to the main Founder if that info was generally known?!?!?

      • George E

Liberals look up to Marx and Mao, not our founding fathers……….. Obama is more like Castro than Jefferson.

    • Gord Dick

“he had the most impressive election victory for a second term president in history”
Definitely the best second term election victory in history if you exclude the 13 other Presidents who did better. That would include G W Bush and Reagan. Just for future reference Robbie…Here they are with the victory percentage (this is second term results).
      G. Washington 100
      T. Jefferson 98.3
      J. Madison 92
      J. Monroe 65.3
      A. Jackson 60.8
      U. Grant 60.67
      G. Cleveland 58.77
      W. Wilson 58.7
      FDR 57.37
      D. Eisenhower 55.58
      R. Reagan 54.74
      W. Clinton 51.06
      G W Bush 50.73
      B. Obama 49.24

      • rickd

Nice job of refuting Robbie’s distortion of the facts. Not surprising considering that liberals are known to “take flexibility w/ the truth”

      • Jeff

I believe what that poster meant to say was that Obama is the first Democrat since FDR to win two popular vote majorities. I’ll leave to others their opinion of how impressive a victory that is.

      • rickd

To show you how people can use statistics to distort their position, if I’m not mistaken since FDR there have been only 2 Democratic Presidents to be reelected- Clinton and Obama. (others since FDR were Truman, Kennedy, LBJ, and Carter). And since Clinton had to deal with Ross Perot, to praise Obama for winning popular vote for 2 straight elections isn’t really such a big deal, is it?

      • Jeff

I merely stated the fact. You make of it what you will. And why weren’t other democrats re-elected? Think guns had something to do with JFK not being able to run for a 2nd term? Think guns had anything to do with RFK not being elected in ’68? Yes, guns on our city streets have such a proud history in this country. JFK, MLK, RFK. All enemies of right wingers and all killed by guns. No wonder you jerks so love your guns.

      • rickd

There you go again, Jeff, slanting the facts to push your liberal agenda. Yes, JFK, RFK, and MLK were gunned down. But, in 1962, Kennedy’s popularity was at an all time low in Nov before being assasinated in Dallas. RFK was so unpopular in 1968 that he wouldn’t even campaign in the south. Are you really certain they would’ve been elected? Oh yea, while we’re talking about ‘gun-lovers’ attacking politicians, I find it interesting that you omitted the gunning down of George Wallace and Pres. Reagan, and James Brady. I guess us red-neck conservatives did that as well. How sad, Jeff, how sad. Please get it together Jeff. You’re too easy!!

      • Jeff

You really think Goldwater would have beaten JFK? Yes, I think RFK would have beaten Nixon. Humphrey couldn’t get out from LBJ’s shadow on Viet Nam, so the base wasn’t too excited. RFK would have turned out the base and he would have had the votes of those who loved his deceased brother. But the Guns Over People Party prevailed because the best candidate was gunned down.

      • rickd

Once again, Jeff, you distort the facts and interject your own “spin” to support your distorted and mindless beliefs. Your projection of JFK being reelected and RFK winning a general election is pure speculation and your only purpose is to attribute this to their untimely death and the hands of deranged individuals. You do this to imply that only right-wing radicals kill/shoot political leaders. Yet, the facts are that JFK was shot by a former Soviet Union supporter and RFK was killed by Sirhan Sihan—-not exactly “right-wing supporters!!” Also, you conveniently neglect the fact that concervatives have been gunned down–George Wallace, Reagan, and James Brady. Are you going to blame that on conservatives as well? Quit trying to twist the facts to suit your own purposes. Gotcha’ again, Jeffy boy!!

      • Jeff

I thought you conspiracy boys didn’t think Oswald shot JFK. It’s the guns, stupid! They now outnumber us.

      • rickd

You continue to skirt the issue….you CHOOSE to compartmentalize anyone who disagrees with your liberal carp as being brainless. You’re quick to make reference to a “conspiracy” theory when you’re desperate for any meaningful dialogue. You have yet to acknowledge that there have been other political leaders who have been shot that have conservative leanings. I guess in your vacuous mind, that’s not worthy of being discussed. You liberals are a real piece of work!!

      • Jeff

Of course there have been conservatives shot. We have too many guns, and we’re a very violent country. My point about JFK, RFK, and MLK is their assassinations changed history in ways the shootings of George Wallace and Ronald Reagan did not. And let’s not forget the shooting death of George Moscone, Mayor of San Francisco by the right wing a*hole Dan White. Remember the Twinkie defense? Remember he also killed Harvey Milk?

      • rickd

I will have to acknowledge that you make a valid point. I still don’t like the idea of opening the door to more governmental control. As a mental health professional for the past 35 years, I contend the it is the mental disturbance of perpetrators of violence that is the problem- not merely the possession of guns or ones political affiliation. In my opinion, it stems from too much violence being dramatized on TV and in the movies as well as a breakdown in the moral fiber of our country. And, I attribute that to the secular movement that conveys the notion that there are no absolutes—merely situational values. The whole idea of “separation of religion and state” stems from a letter that Thomas Jefferson wrote in which he said that our nation would not impose a state religion as was the case in England. Unfortunately, our judicial system has misconscrued that idea into banning any type of organized religious activities in our school. In my opinion, this started the moral decline of our country. And, BHO has merely perpetuated this condition.

      • Jeff

Of course it is both, but it is far harder (nearly impossible, I’d say) to identify all the potential shooters out there. Anyone who commits a mass shooting has got to be psychotic at the time he does it, but that doesn’t mean he would show up in a screening. Don’t get me wrong. I think we should do way more for the mentally ill than we do; I just don’t think it’s a substitute for intelligent limitations placed on guns. How many of these mass shooters had actually been labelled prior to the shooting? I know the Virginia Tech guy was and Lanza had Aspergers but where is the connection between Aspergers and violence? Does everyone with any kind of neurosis get put on the list? I don’t particularly care that he can’t buy a gun (That’ll probably save his life.), but I do worry about potential employers getting hold of such information.

The Tucson shooter is portrayed as nuts, but was he really any nuttier than a lot of other kids his age? I know there are reports he was asked to leave the Community College, so he should have been on somebody’s list. Klebold and Harris were on nobody’s list. I’ve read a bit of “Columbine” and it’s fascinating that everything we thought we knew about that shooting was wrong. And the Aurora, Colorado shooter was a grad student. He apparently had a breakdown, but whose responsibility would it be to (a) make sure he gets treatment and (b) gets put on a “no-gun” list?

      • rickd

I agree with your recommendation about “responsible limitations being placed on gun use”, but my concern is who makes that decision and how will it be implemented. Even though I grew up in the Deep South (going to grad school at UVA was considered “way up north by my friends”) I’ve never quite understood the fascination with guns. Nevertheless, I do respect the right of “RESPONSIBLE” people to own them. You are much more knowledgeable than I am pertaining to names and incidents of shooters..”nut cases” (sincerely) and quite honestly I have no panacea for solutions to this multifaceted problem. To my knowledge, there is no research that suggests a correlation between Asperger’s syndrome and violence. The few clients diagnosed with A.S. with whom I’ve worked tend to speak loudly and have little regard for personal space. They are generally socially inept but being violent has not been something that I have observed. Of course, there are always exceptions and I would be hesitant to make a generalization re all such persons.

      • robbiefine@hotmail.com

Jeff: Thank you. You have corrected me properly. I’ll apologize as a politician might do by saying “I misspoke”. In any case Obama’s victory was impressive by winning all but one of the swing states, getting well over the minimum in the electoral college and, of course, winning the popular vote.

      • Deerinwater

i say ; what is known and not known ~ offers good debate, and assuming the loser.

      • Jeff

I don’t know where your numbers are from but Obama got 51% of the vote, and I don’t believe Clinton ever cracked 50% because of Ross Perot.

      • nc

Gord Dick, here is something that makes daddy’s boy numbers mean nothing> His administration fell so flat on it’s face in the second term that he got the Republicans beat in 2008 and 2012 and 2016 is not out of the question!

      • merkelerk

        Simply stating the facts.
You may interpret them any way you like.

Everyone from Blog commentors, through the main stream media all the way to our elected officials from both sides of the aisle make statements that are plainly wrong. Often with the intent to mislead, at the very least, an exaggeration to strengthen an argument knowing few will check the veracity of the statement.

Reagan said “trust but verify”. He was referring to overt communists, when it comes to the covert types, I say verify then trust (but cautiously).

      • Right Brain Thinker

rickd says, “Nice job of refuting Robbie’s distortion of the facts. Not surprising considering that liberals are known to “take flexibility w/ the truth”. He said that in response to Gord Dick’s posting of some numbers. Too Bad Gordo is playing fast and loose with the truth here, so that his numbers are hardly going to be something we need to keep for “future reference” as he suggests.

First, since they didn’t keep “popular vote” figures before 1824 (look up why), the figures for GW, TJ, JMadison, and JMonroe don’t exist—where did you get them, Gord? Are they perhaps %-ages of electoral college votes or some such? Or PFTA? (Plucked From Thin Air)

Many other “problems” with Gordo’s “numbers” are evident. Some are way high, others are low. What’s the source for these, Gordo? Wikipedia says the real numbers are as follows:

        Jackson 54.74
        Grant 55.58
Cleveland 46.02 (and his two terms were not consecutive either)
        Wilson 49.24
        FDR 60.8, 54.74, and 53.39
        D. Eisenhower 57.37
        R. Reagan 58.77
        W. Clinton 49.23
        G W Bush 50.73
        B. Obama 51.06

So, if the wikipedia figures are correct, O’Bama is behind only FIVE (count ‘em) presidents, and has the best “record” in the last 28 years. Nice job of “taking flexibility w/ the truth”, Gordo, and nice job of mindlessly accepting some untruth, rickd. Robbie may have gotten carried away with his “truth” but he was probably talking off the top of his head, and shouldn’t be faulted too much for that—-it’s common on PLD. What’s your excuse, Gordo?

      • rickd

For the sake of argument, let’s assume your figures are correct and Gord Dick is off base. Let’s take a closer look at YOUR figures. You listed 10 Presidents who have served a 2nd term…5 before FDR and 5 after FDR. You stated BHO’s % was slightly over 51% and was “only behind 5 people”. This means that if he was behind 5 people, he was only AHEAD OF 4!! His ranking would be # 6 out of 10…not exactly a stellar position. Let’s look at the 5 since FDR…He is ahead of GWB by a “whopping” 0.33% and Clinton by 1.83%. But, he is BEHIND 2 REPUBLICANS- Ike by 6.31% and Reagan by 7.71%. If we focus on just the 5 Presidents reelected for a 2nd term since FDR, Obama would rank 3 out of 5….right in the middle. So, you’re telling us that we’re supposed to be impressed with this??. Even if Gord Dick’s figures are off, yours certainly do not support your case. Nice try…but no cigar!! Maybe you need to massage your figures to see if you can impress those who are unable to analyze data….those whose only concern (and who reelected this baffoon) is “Where’s my free S***”.

So who is going to play jungle ball with the president with the S.S. standing on the sidelines? Sure, he is free to play the kind of street ball he wants and his opponents have to stand there and say, “Good drive, Mr President.” Get real, flashy.

Given you can see him take some pretty good shots when he drives the lane, i don't think it's one sided and a 'hands off' rule system. . thoughm you can tell he's not one for posting up or scrapping for the rebound. He favors face up, mid to outside and for the long rebound. but he has that sawheeet move when he plays up top , that half step to the right then sweeps in left side for that one handed mid key arching floater … And watch him play D. Slightly off center taking away the strong side drive, blocking the easy passing lanes, feet should width and balanced… the guy plays ball, ya at least gotta give him that.

      • Jeff

I think Left Coast Chuck plays only those “manly” sports like bowling and slow pitch soft ball, both excuses for drinking beer. And don’t forget hunting a la Cheney (aka shooting caged birds). Only a real man can do those things. I guess “jungle sports” are those that require actual athletic ability?

I grew up around the lanes. And as I got older I joined teams. Bowling is not easy and it takes skill. There are very few people who make a good living with it. Earl Anthony was one of them. (I still miss watching bowling on tv on Saturdays)

Slow pitch softball is, also, not an easy sport. It just looks that way. It takes a great deal of skill to pitch a slow pitch game. It’s much easier to pitch fast.

      • Jeff

Clearly, to be really good at anything requires skill and a lot of work. If you can bowl 250, you’re not the kind of beer-drinking “bowler” I was describing. The difference between bowling and basketball is that you don’t need to be an awesome basketball player to get a good amount of exercise by playing. I occasionally enjoy bowling; I was using it as a metaphor for people who criticize Obama’s “manliness.”

    • Jeff

Are you speaking from personal experience? Or do you just know because “real men” speak in grunts rather than complete sentences? Or is it that Obama doesn’t have a beer gut and spend 8 hours a day on a bar stool? Or is it he doesn’t have a gun rack on his limo?

      • nobodysfool

Best president since FDR?? Well, if you skip Truman, Eisenhower, Nixon, Ford, Reagan, Bush, Clinton, and GWBush, you’d be right. Notice I left Carter out because I’ll bet you wet your panties over him too. You, eddieteddie, flashydashy, dockywocky and all your commie buddies, aka comrades, probably can’t walk for the tingling in your legs! And to an earlier comment you stupidly made without thinking first, you noted that the divorce rate is higher in the red states than the blue. That is due to the fact that welfare recipients do not bother to get married and therefore, no divorce is necessary before they move to the next sex partner. Get it? No marriage = no divorce. Welfare recipients are the ones who turned states blue, along with the fraudulent votes that propelled him into his second term. How much does the State pay you commies to come on this site and throw out your stupid comments?? Someone gave one of you an estimated IQ of at least 85. I would say more like 79-81 for all of you commies on here, combined. Oh, since this is the case, let me just tell you, you need to change those panties after you’ve wet them. You get to stinking after a few days. And maybe start wearing a bib, too, for the drool.

      • Jeff

Your Mom probably told you you were just as smart as those other kids, the ones who didn’t drop out of school and marry a gun. She may have been an honest woman, but she lied about that one.

      • Fred

Apparently, the purpose of this blog is stereotype guys who disagree with you – very, very efective.

      • Jeff

        Fred:

My post is directed at those folks so anti-Obama that they resort to junior high school gossip about him and his prowess, both athletic and otherwise. Take it for what it’s worth.

      • sam1966

Sheesh! You mean that your mom let you out of the sanitarium they had you penned up in Jeff? It is not that we are so anti Obama bin Laden, it is that he is so anti-America, along with you other members of the 5th column. Here is another thing the 5th column wants in this country:

      • sam1966

      • sam1966

Wrong, wrong, wrong Jeff. First, God speaks for Himself, I do not. That’s your first lie. Second, you are the one guilty of name calling, for as you noticed, my language has come down quite a bit since I started here 4 years ago. That’s your second lie. Third, look in the mirror for the arrogant nonsense. That’s your third lie. If I’m wrong in what I post, then cite a source or state some facts to back up what you say, in which you never do. In fact, here is something showing how the ally of the 5th column, unplanned parenthood, is cutting women’s health options for abortions:

Nothing but tabloid conjecture and John generally has better stories to tell. “hides behind designer dresses of women”? Since Mrs Obama made $5000,000 whiles working in Chicago I think she can afford designer dresses. “Staunch anti-Israel policies”, Hardly and far more pragmatic about our “obligation”. “fixated by wife and kids”. Heck America was fixated with Jackie,John John and Carolyn Kennedy so your line of reasoning is weak.

Sanford of S. Caroline…love and she was easy on the eyes. He has a good shot at a political comeback. Oh, you forget one point Craig, Schwartzneggar married a Liberal Democrat’s daughter, a Kennedy, and being married into that family, he was greatly influenced by their liberal thinking, their immoral actions (affairs with beautiful, flirtatious women), their love for hiding political actions from the public, and their love for spending money, so he became more Democrat in his way of thinking in the last few years, taking a government into the red of debt, especially after becoming the governor of California, even though he called himself a Republican. (At least Reagan stayed true to his position as a Republican when he was the governor of California, then as President of the United States).

      • Jeff

Are you SURE you can’t pin Herr Gropenfuhrer’s affairs on Obama because blaming it on Kennedy is just so passe.

About Kennedy: “instead of sleeping with Hollywood starlets or mob bosses’ girlfriends.”

“United States President John F. Kennedy was one of the best-known Addison’s disease sufferers. He was possibly one of the first Addisonians to survive major surgery.[15] Substantial secrecy surrounded his health during his years as president.[16]”

He did do many good things in office, but he was killed for standing up against the Bilderbergs and their dastardly plans for this country. It would not be impossible for him to be intimate with women. They just would have to change positions. Why did Marylin Monroe die? Because of her affair? Because she was trying to get JFK away from his mob connections? Well, we’ll never know, now will we? Of all the coments about Clinton, and Oblunder the homo, with two masculine women in charge, why can’t you see this as factual. His interest is in himself, he’s a narcist, devoid of anything else except the thirst, and hunger for power, and dominance. As for Clinton, would you find it unbelievable, that he would have state troopers pull over female drivers in Arkansas, and if they were young and attractive, they got a ficticious ticket, and brought to the governors mansion, where they could post an enormous bond or go talk turkey with the governor Bill. And back Oblunder, for all you blind liberals, I quote for you ” I have one more election, and then I will have more flexibility”. You ever wonder about that? I think you should, because your going down with the rest of us.

If Kennedy had back problems, then all he had to do was lay back and take it. Much different was his other relative that used a car for kinky sex in the river. Kennedy’s know for their inventive ways.

    • Flashy

      I agree Doc.

Notice how PLD will swear they don’t carry the GOP line, that there are always comments about the “left/right paradigm? ? Yet…it gets personal when focused on the Moderates…and just overall generalities and policy issues when it gets close to criticizing the GOP and the extremists.

Place a female in the mix and masculine insecurities rage out in the open.

Ah well …. it’s apparent the extremists are being pard down to a hard core small group qhich s quickly losing power and voice. Expect the nit picking to increase, the yelling to grow louder, and their impact to diminish. Already we see it. the complaints about being treated as children, the increaed gerrymandering, playing with election laws, suppressing the vote. They talk about wanting to have the “voice of the People’ speak and have sway…yet they support every act and policy which suppresses the voice.

Funny thing, the extremists don’t realize the damage they have done to the Conservative Cause and that impact will be for a generation, minimal. .

      • DavidL

Right again, Flashy and Doc. The conservatives are so out of touch they don’t even know they’re ignorant. As Aristotle said, “….to not know but yet think you do is the greatest disease.” If the conservatives of the bat-crap-crazy crowd continue as they have, their condition is going to kill them. That process has already begun as evidenced by recent elections and by this and other ridiculously ignorant articles appearing on this site. So be it. That end can’t come to soon for me. Our country has many difficult problems to solve and it needs educated and intelligent adults in the room. All adults, men and women. I want the moderate Republican Party back. That party was genuinely fiscally conservative and socially progressive.

Really Doc? Asking women to pay for their own birth control is a “war on women”? The real war is on MEN! There is no affirmative action for men (even though women outnumber men in colleges), there is no VAMA (even though we see countless numbers of women abusing and mutilating men, plus men are laughed at on public TV when they are mutilated), fathers are torn away from their kids in corrupt divorce courts, sperm donors are being forced to pay child support (even to lesbian couples), men look like fools and buffoons on TV (while women look heroic).

Get your facts straight and grow up!

      • Flashy

Asking women to pay for their own birth control is a “war on women”?
—- Ummmm…I’d say you have a point except Viagra etc is covered under the mandate. The attempt to do away with covering Viagra was snuffed in the GOP dominated House Committees.

There is no affirmative action for men
—Untrue. Men are also protected from sexual discrimination in the workforce, in public arenas etc. Just because there aren’t many cases which men could press doesn’t mean there isn’t the program available. My personal opinion is that AA has run its course as an effective policy in re: gender, but the flip side is that with the talk going on by conservative talking heads, politicians, influential persons…it is apparent it continues to be needed as a safeguard.

fathers are torn away from their kids in corrupt divorce courts,
        — this is so untrue and not deserving of further comment.

sperm donors are being forced to pay child support (even to lesbian couples),
        — huh? Anonymous sperm donors ordered to pay child support? Methinks you’ve been getting your news from the Weekly World news after the usual Batboy articles. think it through…if the male is getting hit up on child support, h has the right to ask for custody, shared custody, etc. if someone were going for a sperm donor, do you really honestly believe they will open the door for a total stranger to have such access and impact in the child’s upbringing?

men look like fools and buffoons on TV (while women look heroic).
—- Switch the channel to something else. There are plenty of shows which are just the opposite.

      • rendarsmith

Flashy, Viagra is due to a medical condition not birth control, condems would be the equivalent, and men pay for their own. Nice try, but no cigar. Let me further add that women have the option to bail out of pregnancy by killing the child, but men are legally forced to support the child financially. Men’s financial responsibility is upheld while women’s responsibility to let the child can be shunned. Who has more power here?

Sexual discrimination? I’m talking about AFFIRMATIVE ACTION, you know, accepting college students based on their skin and their genitals. There is NONE for men.

fathers are torn away from their kids in corrupt divorce courts,
        — this is so untrue and not deserving of further comment.

sperm donors are being forced to pay child support (even to lesbian couples),

Just about every daytime and evening TV show makes men look like idiots, it’s even spreading to kids’ cartoons. Let’s make some shows where the women look like idiots and let’s see if the women change the channel or try to get the government to intervene. I’m betting on the latter. You know that if there was such a show there would be a media uproar. Look at what happened with Rush Limbaugh’s Sandra Fluke comment. The misandric clip I showed you above got no media attention at all.

Seriously, next time do some homework and get your facts straight before you comment. You’ll embarrass yourself less.

Except that Viagra is covered because it pertains to the medical condition of erectile dysfunction.
Not to a condition of whether you are protecting yourself from pregnancy, which is not a medical condition, but a naturally occuring one.
A perfect example of liberal thought in action.
Like those needing viagra(that cetainly isnt me),Flashy is flaccid in his comprehension of reality,so he fails to score in his point of attack.
Way to come up short again Flashy…a condition I am sure you are familiar with.

        rendarsmith says:

Flashy, Viagra is due to a medical condition not birth control,

Comment: Ummm…and this ‘medical condition” is? C’mon…it’s not a dirty word…SEX. now, if you’re gonna argue that abstinence isn’t an effective birth control method, I’m to amazed and at a loss for words. If you’re going to say it has other medicinal uses other than sex, I’ll point out that many birth control pills have beneficial medical uses outside of birth control. C’mon Sparky … tell us how men should be able to “get it up” and have me pay for their nighttime jollies while women can’t have health insurance coverage for birth control.

Either or…not just one omitting the other.
        ===============

Let me further add that women have the option to bail out of pregnancy by killing the child, but men are legally forced to support the child financially. Men’s financial responsibility is upheld while women’s responsibility to let the child can be shunned. Who has more power here?

Comment: Ummm…if you refer to child support obligations, are you making the case that the custodial parent isn’t paying anything for the child? If one engages in unprotected sex, one takes his chances. no comment on your inane “killing the child” hysteria …
        ============
Sexual discrimination? I’m talking about AFFIRMATIVE ACTION, you know, accepting college students based on their skin and their genitals. There is NONE for men.

Ummmm…AA is more than racial. It began as racially based, and has morphed. Which is wy i think it ran its course. But then, as I state, the recent comments by all along the Right spectrum shows whatever the basis, AA is still needed.

There were doctors reports saying “no way you are gong to be fit parents’ so they went to Craigslist fer chrissakes. AND the guy signed a paper about the AI. Sheesh Falsh! You never heard of erectile dysfunction? You claim it is only because of sex? Viagra is needed to temporarily correct this medical condition and help the man to perform, maybe even getting the wife pregnant. BCPs are not healthcare, nor is it essential for a woman’s performance. Women are to have children, after they are married of course, and BCPs only delay this process. Ergo, not needed. Here is something good about how this operation could save many innocent children from being aborted:

Conservatives have no war on women, matter of fact most of them are married to their one and only wife, you libs are the ones who have a war on women, you think sharia law is a good thing, NOW is left wing and they don’t talk against sharia law? Abortion hurts women at the time or after and your all for it. The left hates women, children and anything moral, that is the reason I left that party, even booed God at the convention, so add him to the list of left wing hate list. Get a life, your a Doc of evil and your lies will someday catch up with you.

Divorce rates are higher in the Red States than in the Blue. In 2008, the only Republican candidate for president with only one wife was the Mormon. Clearly, actual women saw the Republicans’ policies toward them and their concerns differently from you.

      • Guest

Sorry Jeff. It’s not that simple. The divorce rate in blue states is lower because there are fewer marriages among their occupants in the first place.

      • sam1966

Well said Guest. Keep up the good fight. Hey Jeff, care to cite a source on that, or is this just another chance for you to attack a patriot? You lies in this post shows your less intelligent mind at work. Here is something that speaks the truth about abortion (infanticide) and how the GOP could learn from it.

      • sam1966

You scored some points with the Samurai on this one. Jesus would have helped her out, that’s true, but he would not have advocated for her to get pregnant 15 times by different men. Remember, we were founded on such beliefs as self reliance and personal responsibility. I guess the 5th column, to include you, do not believe in that. Jesus also would have forgiven her sins, but he would have told her, “God and sin no more.” Take the hint Jesus said in this short passage. FOR GOD AND COUNTRY! 하나님하고 나라를 위해서!

You need both love of country and faith in God to be a patriot.

Some men has just not got it yet, ~ they believe their gender is defined by a behavior of scratching of their nut’s, humping of legs, spatting and walking about with Gorilla like swagger, dancing dust clouds of protest and abusing small saplings and vegetation while they make a lot of noise.

The grandest intimidation dance secures any winners manly position, which is measured in length of captured attention, overall noise level, height and thickness of the dust cloud, the volume and distance of spit and it’s general knock down power, how disguising the scratching of ones own nuts can be and just how long anyone will allow them to hump their leg divided by collateral damage.

Thanks for you grammar lesson John , my proof reader was out for the day buying a new dress. ~

I run a three circus , making money and paying the bills. I do well. I come here for amusement and laughter. I find it a wonderful distraction from reality, never underestimate the power of a good laugh.

This whole thread on “manliness” is a big joke ~ and you are scoff at my selecting of being verbs ~ ?????? While John Myer’s is making the claim the most powerful position in the US government is a puppet to a passion kitty in a designer dress? Basically, little more than a left handed attack on the First Lady. ~ Seem we have Nero playing the violin while Rome burns.

Being Verbs???? There are so many!

Am, is are , was , were, have, had, has, do, did, done, may, might, must, will, would, shall, should ,can’t ,could.

Why don’t you take you right wing anal retention and focus it on something that really matters?

The GOP had sold out to the highest bidder ~ while your little Tea Party was not even formed until after the fact ~ It’s only now you want responsibility in government after wasting 7 trillion dollars and 12 years in a huge cat box. Something I watched happen with fanfare and plastic flag waving from the Christian Collation and Conservative Right.

Since it’s creation, this Tea Party of yours has not once addressed in any meaningful way addressed lobbying activities and the effects of influence peddling on the HILL. Which telsl me, ~ the Tea party is just an extension of the GOP and the only thing that the Tea Party wants is “Status Quo” restored while they talk today about presidential Manliness and how a designer dress on a Couch Kitty is being used as a weapon of mass destruction.

Now if you can’t find a little humor in all of that ~ you are too easily distracted and deserving whatever life presents you in particle and sum.

John Myer has basically attacked all women ~ with this piece of hatchet work. ~ that it is so counter productive and he or his following fail to see it ~ is the joke for the day.

Never interfere when the enemy is attempting to destroy itself and I should perhaps leave you alone but I don’t see the GOP as the enemy as the GOP has it’s part to play in national politics. ~ Our systems of government depends on worth opposition.

I am only attempt to restore the “worthiness” of the GOP with my banter and mix it up with anal retentive meat heads like you John.

Give me a reason John ~ besides a poorly chosen being verb to reach out to you.

Spitting cobra politics blinds everyone and makes our leaders stumble around using intellectual sonar to find their group. The purpose of politics is to set purposeful, healthy and beneficial policy to govern the life of the nation under God. Our nation has exhibited the symptoms of epilepsy and we are experiencing the violence of seizures. Our collective will has seized up as played out in the media with skilled actors from every discipline. What the people see shapes how they think and perverts their judgement and turns them away from stable government [1.] in the home, [2.] in the communities, [3.] in the institutions of education and [4.] in our state regional and national centers of governance. Uncle Sam may not be able to pay his bills because of fiscal constipation brought on by a lack of liquidity. Money is like water and if you cut back on drinking and continue to eat big meals
you will seize up the system. The nation becomes dysfunctional if it is not feeling well enough to get up and be about its business. When the parents fight in front of the children the children learn to be violent. This is also true of nations internally and internationally. It takes a global village to raise a nation. It can be raise through nurturing or it can be raised to the ground and removed like a cancer on mother earth by God. There is nothing new under the sun but time is growing short. When nations turn into hungry zombies they canalize other nations. Feed your enemies and do not become their food.

Just because someone has observations + opinions about a few females does NOT make it a ‘war on women’. I’ve, often, wondered who the hell this Valerie Jarrett is and why she is making decisions that affect the country. We (the rigged machines) did not vote for her! Pretty boy O is, probably, afraid of her and of his wife.

It’s funny that JFK was brought up because I was thinking, just today, that king O and JFK are VERY MUCH alike. Both TOTAL FAKES-do/say whatever is needed for the moment, to hell with facts/truth. JFKs’ father had a ‘life principal’ that he drilled into his kids, “It doesn’t matter what you REALLY are, it only matters what people THINK you are.” In other words, it’s totally OK to be a lying, manipulating fake. The two (O + JFK) are very similar.

This reminds me of something that occurred during our Muslims’ first four years; I made a negative comment about the ‘fake in chief’. A black guy accused me of racism, of course!!! I said, “Well, if that’s the case then I’m racist against whitey, too. I said the same type of things about Kennedy and Clinton-only worse!!” I went on to tell him that under his conclusion, he would have to consider the entire country racist against whites because (some) people have been ‘bad-mouthing’ presidents since the very beginning. The guys’ victimhood was taken away, so, he just kind of grunted and walked away.
