Anybody I know would have started laughing. They would figure that the child just wanted to know if the water works would work outdoors as well as inside, or he may have been trying to drown a bug. My younger brother once tried peeing on an electric fence. Ouch! In another incident, he tried drooling on an electric fence. Ouch again! Boys will be boys! Even my straight laced grandparents would have gone into stitches laughing about the child.

Standards were lowered to become a police officer since not enough minorities were able to pass the test. Due to this, we got really stupid officers that come in all colors.

Hmmm, I wonder what Barney Fife would do if he caught a woman breast feeding in public? What would Barney have done if the kid didn’t whip his willy out and just peed in his pants? This crime wave has to somehow be brought under control! Way to go Barney, way to go!

You know its amazing how much time and money goes into building things to kill and blow apart people. well Peace on Earth is just wishful thanking. Greed and Power its the only thing People seem to think and practice.

Grandpa, You sure do make sense, More People need to see what they are putting into office.people and their taxes Pay the Bills, Politicians need to live within the Budget, Just like us working People. Just look at what over spending has been doing to this Country. Right now my Kids and my grand kids are going to suffer for what we have allowed to happen in this Country, And when are we going to stop killing them in useless wars.

Contributing to the delinquency of a minor – a lesser charge? I don’t think so – that one could bite mom badly later on…fight this whole stupid charge! Drop the whole mess or take them to court!! Mom was not urinating in the front yard, for goodness sake!! Charging mom for a simple, probably somewhat confused action of a 3 yr old – really?

Follow the money! The cop was doing what he was told – WRITE MORE TICKETS!. I’ll bet themayor, city council and the police chief all instructed the cop(s) to generate more income for the city by writing more tickets – for any infraction or perceived infraction of any law!

So sad … please, put this on your status if you know, work with, are related to, dated, or divorced someone who suffers from Stupidity.
We all need to understand that Stupidity is real and must be taken seriously. You could be sitting next to a Stupid person right now and not even know it!

OK, yes the ticket was completely unwarranted and an over stretch of authority, I get that. However, why was the child relieving himself in the front yard of his own home? Couldn’t he get inside to the potty?

Sometimes idiocy outweigh profound lack of common sense. The cop probably spent a lot of money or time to maintain his pristine green lawn. Rest assured when he passed away his tombstone will have a fitting tribute, here lies a man with the most lush, green and weed free lawn. It’s a 3 year old’s pee don’t worry it adds to much required grass nutrients.

I think perhaps we are ignoring lthe obvious. The city council has taken action to recify the situation – good for them. What we don’t seem to realize is that the only situation that was rectified is that the council reacted to adverse publicity and public pressure and acted by throwing the cop under the bus so THEY would not get caught in the sporlight.

If they had truly been seeking to repair the injustice, there would be NO lessor charges, but reduced charges remain which to me means simply that the City Council is saying they are right, the mother and child are wrong and the cop that created the opportunity to see the emporer without clothes was fired.

If it had been myself that was involved, I would still be on the offensive until the petty tyrant called the City Council was properly chastised.

Makes me wonder whether the policeman has any youngsters of his own? Is it possible he has a difficult situation with a child in his own home.?.Try as hard as a good mother would, kiddos don’t always reach the maturity that even a doctor might indicate is “normal for his age”.,,especially when it’s stated that he was on their own property ? I have five grown kiddos & always tried to instill into them that a policeman can be your good friend if ever you need help. I especially noticed this when we were in Japan and many police in neighborhood area police-box stations seemed to know each child by name who lived in his area. I think they also are responsible for doing their census.Possibly a more true census than what the USA does ? Maybe we could learn from their way ?

This officer is the type I cannot stand working on the same calls for service with when I’m on duty because they do dumb, useless crap like this instead of making an effort to combat real criminals, you know the type that break into things to steal things or even the type of criminal that commit that minor felony called MURDER.

Nice work officer, you prevented this three year old from relieving himself outside… I will feel so safe if he is able to work the street again (insert sarcasm here)

We’re missing the point. The ‘incident’ happened in her own yard, and she was still left with a complaint filed against her even though it will not be prosecuted. It’s the principle of having a complaint stand. The only thing she should receive is a profound apology. And, once again, the idiots in charge didn’t have the common sense to recognize the foolishness on their own…they had to be coerced by public pressure.

Good for the city council. Someone with that lack of judgement and who didn’t have better things to do with their time should be finding a better use of time.

Good thing it didn’t happen in South Carolina, the child would also be put on the sex offenders database.

This shows the power of the Internet. Had this story not appeared online, I doubt that anything would have been done to the cop. The ticket given to the boy’s mother, though was not dropped, according to a story I read yesterday. It was just changed and she was levied a lesser fine. It should have been dropped completely. This badge heavy SOB does not deserve to be a cop. He’s a prime example of what a bad cop is.

Good for the local city council. If he should somehow be reinstated I hope the whole city shuns him to the point he has to leave.
