Cocaine Given To Trick-Or-Treaters
OLDHAM, England, (UPI) — A British man admitted to accidentally handing out bags of cocaine to trick-or-treaters who turned out to be the children of a police officer.
Oldham Magistrates’ Court heard Donald Green, 23, accidentally dropped the bags of cocaine into the candy sacks of three children, ages 8, 6 and 5, instead of the candy bags in his pocket, The Daily Telegraph reported Monday.
Police Constable Simon Fowell, the children’s father, soon recognized the strange packages in his children’s bags and Green was arrested on a charge of possessing a Class A drug.
Green pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 12 months of probation as well as 130 hours community work and court costs totaling $230.
