U.N. Moves Quickly On Gun Grab

November 9, 2012 by

U.N. Moves Quickly On Gun Grab

The lights weren’t even turned off at the Barack Obama re-election celebration before the United Nations began plotting its gun grab again — with U.S. blessings.

The U.N. General Assembly’s disarmament committee approved a resolution calling for a new round of talks in March. The vote came less than 24 hours after Obama secured re-election.

The committee uses high-sounding, feel-good language to make it sound like the U.N.’s goal is to end illicit arms trafficking. But the Programme of Action calls for a centralized registration  system to track all small arms purchases and burdens manufacturers with the responsibility of using micro-stamping and other onerous identification procedures that will drive up the cost of weapons and ammunition.

According to the U.N. Office for Disarmament Affairs, the agency’s goals are to remove weapons from “Insurgents, armed gang members, pirates, terrorists.” But the recent passage of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) and missives released by the Department of Homeland Security so broadens the definition of terrorist that it’s come to include anyone the regime decides it applies to.

The gun grab has begun and the next four years will see the 2nd Amendment under assault in a way that’s unprecedented in America’s history.

Regardless of what U.N. committees may rule, without active US govenment support the U.N. couldn’t disarm so much as a New York City cab driver.

  • http://tlgeer.wordpress.com tlgeer

According to your link, this document was started in 2001, and we already have most of what they talked about in the document.

  • Jimmy E

Would we be having this discussion had all conservatives voted for Romney? I think not!!! You “libertarians” just couldn’t/wouldn’t understand the differences between O & R.Romney may not have been perfect but, he was a hell of a lot better than what we got!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • DaveH

Actually it’s you sheeple Republicans who are the problem. Nothing much would have changed under Romney except maybe more lip-service about Freedom while he did the opposite.
If the Republican sheeple would awaken, then the Libertarians, the only people who really understand the concept of Freedom, would have won. Yeah, I know, you’re in the majority — the majority of politically ignorant people.

    • Mikey

Had the Republicans not chased Ron Paul out, we wouldn’t be having this discussion.

  • Henry David

How will the goverment successed in taking the guns from us? Cause a depression and cause the people to fight each other, Those who have food will fight, those who do not, will not fight. GOTA EAT. That just cut 95% of the population out of the picture. Then to control the outburst that’s still fighting, the’ll send in the UN, M L will be enacted, rounding the people up from road blocks and placing them in FEMA camps. We won’t have time to organize an army let a lone grab our guns and load the damn things before your grabbed and hauled off. They can’t grab everyone and thats when we will see small groups fighting. Oh! don’t forget that we will then will be fighting countrys like China, Russia, etc that invade us about that same time. WOW what a mess we will have on our hands. It’s coming sooner than you think, right in your city and state. We Voted for the man back into office that will finish and destory our Country. Welcome to the New “United Socialist of America”!. Sad!

    • DaveH

Romney wouldn’t have changed that equation.
There is only one Political Party that embraces the kind of Freedom that Thomas Jefferson advocated, and that is the Libertarian Party:

I’m with you on not wanting to lose my gun rights but I remember everybody freaking out when O was elected the first time and all that did was drive up the price of AR’s and ammo. Nobody came to my door asking for my guns (which would be a mistake), no gun I wanted to buy was restricted from me. I’m just not sure Obama cares all that much about legal gun ownership. He didn’t campaign on it and nothing happened to me at least in his first 4 years. And by the way I wouldn’t worry too much about the UN. They are a nutless/powerless group whose biggest challenge is figuring out who’s in charge.

    • Mikey
      • DaveH

        Thanks, Mikey.

      • Mike

House Bill 1116 Introduced legislation to ban vasectomies. Lot’s of stupid things get introduced to congress that have no chance of passing. The video you posted isn’t that convincing to me. First, what gets introduced as a bill to congress often has little to do with the prez, bills are introduced by legislators. Second, most of the voting record stuff in the video refers to O’s Illinois state senate voting record. IL is one of the least gun friendly states in the US if not the Universe and it’s considered PC to vote against guns there (follow the CC law losing battle over the last 10 years for confirmation on that). Like I said, we went though this before and all that happened was I had to pay a lot more for ammo. If O or someone else tries to introduce legislation that has a chance of passing (remember the Republicans still hold the House) then I’ll call my congressman but nobody elected O king and he can’t pass legislation on his own. As long as there is a Republican majority in the House of Representatives I see ZERO chance of any significant anti gun legislature passing.

      • DaveH

That’s some mighty fine rationalization, Mike.

      • Mike

Not sure what you mean Dave?

      • Mikey

Obama thinks he is king. Look at how many executive orders he has used to do an “end around” congress. Do you not think he will do the same when it comes to gun control?

      • http://www.facebook.com/kansas.bright Kansas Bright

Bare with me please. Some education:
Executive legislation is the use of the presidential office to pass law. Much the same as a king would do when he announces a proclamation. WE are not a monacrhy, nor are we a Dictatorship (completely anyway).

According to our constitution Congress is the ONLY government body that has legislative power. Article one states, “All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress…”

Notice the word “All”.. There is no room for interpretation. It does not mean most legislation and it does not mean all legislation except when aPresident decides to pass some, it means ALL.

Black’s Law Dictionary, 7th Edition; Legislation: “1. The process of making or enacting a positive law in written form, according to some type of formal procedure, by a branch of government constituted to perform this process.”

If Congress is the only branch of government “constituted to perform this process,” then the executive branch is prohibited from do so.

Since the US Constitution,.like Murder, has no time limit that says illegal unconstitutional activities will become legal after 50, 100, 150 years of being ignored.

Much like a town that has one crossroad, and about 10 cars on it a week – jaywalking is ignored. When the town grows and there are 10 cars per minute it is time to enforce that law for the wellbeing of both the people walking and the people driving. The law was always there, but not enforced. But when it became a danger to ignore the law to the people, that laws was enforced.

Simplistic, but I think it makes my point. Executive orders have NEVER been legal in the USA. Unfortunately, enforcing them makes criminals out of the enforcers – much like what happened in Germany.

      • Mikey

        Good analogy, Kansas.

  • 4204life

All the time and energy spent playing into the political farce is pointless. Simply put, we have UNALIENABLE rights, regardless what any governing body says. Better use of fiat currency, would include forming a financial counter system based on honest banking practices. The U.N. is based in the U.S. and therefore it is impracticle to expect that our nation would willingly relinquish control. The machinations of globalism are always expanding and they plan on winning by consent or conquest.

    • DaveH

The UN was created by the United States (under FDR). To think that the US Leaders are just innocent pawns is a very big mistake. The Leaders and their Crony Capitalists are chomping at the bit to take us to One-World Government where they will be much safer from removal.

  • Rob

Perhaps my agenda is old news but as my favorite poster say’s “You can have my guns when you pry them from my cold dead fingers” I also have been buying alot since before this joke of an election began

  • crice

People wake up!! We need to send the UN packing and out of our nation! This is the United State of American! Not the United States of the United Nations. Write your congress and let them know of your outrage in putting any laws from the United Nations into play in America. The UN is ran by terriorist and those who hate America and would like nothing more than to put laws into place to control the people of this great nation. One world government? NO!!!!!!!!! Some one said pray or write your congress. I say do both.

    • Florence

Crice, I agree with all that you have stated.

  • joser

    this is just the beginning

How many Supreme Court justices do you think will retire in the next 4 years???
Who do you think will appoint them?????
Where do you think they will stand on Second Amendment rights?????

Obama is famous for his end around runs to get what he wants.. As far as heis concerned WE THE PEOPLE are the disidents –We The Sheeple are the good guys.

Remember how they disarmed the law abiding PEOPLE in New Orleans after Katrina.

    • DaveH

It is a fact, Joser, that the Supreme Court rarely overrides Federal Government laws, no matter how blatantly UnConstitutional they are. For example, the recent Obamcare decision.
They are, you know, a branch of the Federal Government. It’s like expecting the Fox to Guard the Hen House. Our Founders never meant for the Supreme Court to be the Final Arbiter of Constitutionality. They just took that right in the early 1800s.

  • sharon

It’s a sad day for all of us. But the Bible dosen’t lie and we are going to reap what we sown. The Bible said when the peoples allowed bad leaders to rule, the people will mourn well get ready we haven’t see any thing yet the things coming are going to get back. May GOD take pity on the U.S.A. and show us mercy. May GOD BLESS YOIU ALL.

  • northbrook

Anyone (senator) voting to approve this outrageous treaty should be voted from office. We do not need the UN involved in strictly US affairs. This is a second amendment right and citizens should reject any interference by the UN/

    • momo

Before November 6, 2012 I would have agreed with you, I’m not sure anymore.

  • rhcrest

Any attempts at gun grabs will be the spark of Civil War II. I am ready to fight. Bring it on.

    • Capitalist at Birth

We will need members of the Military and National Guard to join us. I hope that at least half of them would.

      • david spitler

as a military vet. myself I am standing guard to help defend the freedoms granted to us by God and yet men and women [politics] keep doing what they can to steal these freedoms away from us but this I am afraid is only the beginning

    • Mikey

Wow, that would be a rough one! Where would the lines be drawn? Our society is infused with government-supporting gun-grabbers and marxists. How would we separate friend from foe?

      • JDN

Just look at the last electoral map . New England and the great lakes states and the west coast , but primarily their cities , the rural areas voted Republican .

      • DaveH

One big downfall for the Confederacy was that they fought honorably, unwilling to put innocent civilians in harms way, while the North ignored the rules of war and killed innocent civilians.
I’m afraid the next civil war might be a repeat of that.

  • Capitalist at Birth

The only hope and prayer we have is that this treaty will die in the Senate. whether you believe in a supreme being or not, I would either pray or write letters to your Senators.

    • DaveH

Gun Owners of America has an excellent tool making it easy for people to find out who their representatives are and contact them:
      http://capwiz.com/gunowners/home/

      • Kate8

I hate to mention this, but Congress has become, essentially, ceremonial. As in irrelevant.

Do you not think that Obama, now that he no longer has to continue campaigning (as he has for the past 4 years), will have any qualms about simply issuing another EO?

Before you say it’s unlawful, remember that he has not felt hindered by the Constitution. I mean, why should he? He’s a foreign agent.

He WILL issue an EO banning guns. Congress is too slow, and it gets on his nerves, anyway. And he’s got more “flexibility” now that he’s stolen the election.

      • DaveH

No doubt that he would do that, Kate, but such a blatantly unlawful act would wake up a lot of comatose citizens to the reality of an out-of-control Big Government. It might be the best thing he ever did for us.

  • Bob Rice

AS THE JAPANESE GENERAL SAID BEFORE WORLD WAR 2,WE CAN NOT,WILL NOT INVADE AMERICA,THERES AN AMERICAN BEHIND EVERY BLADE OF GRASS,AND HES GOT A GUN !!,NOTHINGS CHANGED,COME TRY TO GET OUR GUNS………

  • Gordon in Texas

Terrorists have been redefined by the past two administrations to mean anyone who is not on board with the current administraiton’s agenda. That can mean anyoneone. And, to King George, an insurgent was anyone in the new world who fought against his forces. The definition of a patriot and an insurgent only differs to those who are speaking at the time. The Minutemen of the American Revolution are now known as patriots. To King George, they were insurgents. Guess which side the UN and obama are on?

    • DaveH

Yep. Once you realize that the Government is just the Biggest Gang in the land, everything they do becomes much clearer.

    • Capitalist at Birth

Last two? It goes much further back than that. Started with A, Lincoln.

  • http://cmcooper2012.wordpress.com CMCooper

The UN is not alone in this. American gun owners also have domestic enemies, like Sen. Dianne Feinstein of California. http://wp.me/p2QJLE-1F

  • Marc

It will take the unification of this country to protect our 2nd amendment. We wil not allow anyone, domestic or foreign, take our rights to defend ourselves, property, and to put food on the table! GUNS DON’T KILL PEOPLE, PEOPLE KILL PEOPLE

  • JC

All those in favor of gun control, raise your right arm…straight out at a 45 degree angle,
Now, march in unison with the stiff legged flat footed motion known as the Goose Step…and in Unison begin chanting…Yes We Can, Yes We can…
(And please…point yourselves at a cliff)

    • Florence

JC, your comment is the best! : )

  • DaveH

Bob says — “According to the U.N. Office for Disarmament Affairs, the agency’s goals are to remove weapons from “Insurgents, armed gang members, pirates, terrorists.””.
But who removes those weapons from the “Terrorists” in our own Government?

    • dan

arrrrgh….pirates too ? Hoist the Jolly Rodger, mates….molon labe.
I celebrated yesterday by buying more stock in Sturm /Ruger

    • Capitalist at Birth

      Great point Dave H.

  • Sailor

And besides…that gun in the photo is way too small by comparison as to what the American people who know how to use them have…..

  • Chester

Will repeat this once more, no matter what agreement the UN reaches, and our secretary of state signs off on, it still takes a two thirds vote of the senate before it can begin to be applied inside the US. Personally, I can’t see two thirds of the senate agreeing on what day of the week it is, let alone on allowing such a thing to become the law of the land.

    • Sailor

My dear Chester; I place no faith in the hands of this Senate…they are all sold out to the ways of the Illuminati

    • eddie47d

That may be true Sailor and Congress does have a dismal record of getting anything done. Yet We the American people did vote them in.

      • DaveH

For them Not to get anything done, is a Good thing.

      • eddie47d

Still mocking me “dave h”. Then you will be an accomplice for Congress And and they will “do nothing” and allow all the huge tax increases to automatically be approved come the end of December.

      • DaveH

You’re equivocating, Eddie, as is usual for a Troll.

      • eddie47d

I’ll leave that to you today Dave.

    • DaveH

      Chester,
The first thing you need to realize is that almost all Politicians want to keep their Power and Perks. Yes, they have to keep an eye on the voters in their rear-view mirror, but their primary impulse is to Feather their Own Nests.
So we must keep constant vigilance on them to assure they don’t impulsively put themselves first over the rest of us. And putting themselves first is a lot easier if the citizens are unarmed.
If your Senator isn’t rated “A” on this list, you need to start hounding them Now before they pull a fast one on us:
      http://goapvf.org/

      • DaveH

The above listing was for 2012 candidates. Here is a listing for the current Senators:
        http://gunowners.org/112thsrat.htm

      • DaveH

We have a new “A” rated Senator here in Arizona now (Jeff Flake), but unfortunately he replaced Jon Kyl who was rated “A-”. We have to wait four more years to get rid of John McCain who is ranked “C-” on Gun Rights.

      • DaveH

More news on the UN treaty from Gunowners of America:

Here is a list of US Senators who have signed the Moran letter, pledging not to sign the UN Gun Treaty:
        http://gunowners.org/072912.htm

Note that 3 of the Senators who signed the Pledge have been replaced in the 2012 elections.
They are Jon Kyl of Arizona, Olympia Snowe of Maine, and Jim Webb of Virginia.

      • DaveH

        Here’s another good Pro-Gun organization:
        http://www.nationalgunrights.org/

    • Mai

The problem is they really do not have to amend the Constitution – all they have to do is ignore it

      • Kim

I have no idea what Mai might be talking about. I am fully aware of what the Constitution requires.

      • DaveH

Exactly, Mai. As they have done for the last 100+ years.

  • http://yahoo bob peters

come get them U.N.!! Patriot Americans will view your presence on
american soil as an act of war..

    • Gordon in Texas

Amen. Any foreign troops on US soil should be seen as hostile; even if they were invited by a treasonous president. LAL

      • RockingChair Sage

Gordon, it is not the UN personnel we need to worry about. I downloaded the entire text of ObamaCare. It truly sets up a standing DOMESTIC army that will report only to the president. The originators used out out of sync numbering system to hide it from casual searchers. Pelosi (who famously said the law would have to pass before we could read it) provided for all funding as part of the law. A complete end run around congress’ right to be in charge of funding. Had that not happened, congress could have rendered it moot by de-funding it.
Jimmy Hoffa, Jr. stood by O’s side and declared that the unions are O’s army. At least they would likely be the nucleus. Richard Trumpka, head of AFL-CIO (Google him for violent past) sat by Michelle during State of the Union speech and accompanied Bill Clinton while he was campaigning for O. Roosevelt said we have nothing to fear but fear itself. Well, times have changed. We now need to fear our government.

    • Capitalist at Birth

Right on!!! I did not own a fire arm until November 8th 2008. I now own three and will be buying two more and getting my ammunition stockpile up to 10,000 rounds. This may not be enough, but it is a start.

  • http://www.facebook.com/thomas.sherman.589 tgsherman

  • Lawrence Fischer

It would be illegal per our Constitution for the UN or any other foreign entity to refute the Second Ammendment. This also applies to Mr. Obama, Ms. Clinton, etc. On that basis, all American citizens have the right to bear arms and not have that right taken away.

    • Sailor

Yes indeed Lawrence Fischer….if they are willing to take a “Metal Jacket” that would be very easy…after all…they are in NYC…

    • eddie47d

The Second Amendment should never be usurped for it is needed for a variety of reasons. The right to protect one self or family from someone intruding on their life. Plain and simple. Beyond that I want each and every gun owner to be responsible for any ownership of all weapons in their possession. Considering that 266,000 guns are stolen each year a few of them are dropping the ball. There are also a few gun dealers who should be put out of business for not following the law. (wrongful sales). The good news is that most gun owners and dealers do follow the law and should be rewarded not harassed by government officials (or the UN if that is the case).

      • DaveH

Leave it to Eddie to put the blame on the gun owner for the crime of a thief.

      • eddie47d

Leave it to Dave H to misconstrue everything I say. For such a smart man you sure are ignorant.

      • DaveH

How does one “misconstrue” this, Troll?
Eddie says — “I want each and every gun owner to be responsible for any ownership of all weapons in their possession. Considering that 266,000 guns are stolen each year a few of them are dropping the ball”.

      • eddie47d

Maybe you are the troll since that is factual.

      • phideaux

How qabout you are the troll eddie for you have posted the numbers twice and have provided NO source for them.

      • DaveH

        Eddie,
Are you lying, or are you just hopelessly ignorant?

      • Bill

        Eddie,
        Who cares what you want.

      • rmgdnnow

SO….If some dirtbag steals my car and crashes it into another car full of kids, I should be held responsible?? One does not HAVE to have a car. There are buses, etc. If some lunatic steals my butcher knife, and kills some women, is it my fault for having a butcher knife?? Not everyone has, or needs, a butcher knife, right???

    • Eddie G.

Hillary Clinton was in no position to sign on with a UN treaty to disarm the people. It’s not her job, never was and she should’ve been called up on the carpet for it. The Constitution and it’s amendments are the law of the land whether Hillary or Obama likes it or not. For the past 4 years the spineless congress has allowed Obama to usurp the constitution to the point of treason,an impeachable offense. We must blast the useless congress incessantly ’til their ears go deaf to leave our guns alone and get the U.N. out of the USA,we don’t need them. Send ‘em home. We’ve another way. Obama has been an object of controversy from day one as having never been vetted to be a legit POTUS. He’s been re-elected so before he gets the keys to the White House, it’s time to appoint an independent council led by Sheriff Joe to settle once and for all if Obama is legit or a fraud. My money says he’s a fraud.

      • Michael Hennessy

Eddy its been done and done and done again. Obama was vetted before he became president the first time. His birth certificate is real and it has been REPEATEDLY checked by many Conservative, liberation and Christian led groups as well as the FBI. Dont you think Romney and his Mormon backing would have used that remove Obama from office if they could? Bottom Line – they could not because it is a REAL Hawaiian birth certificate. Thats because Obama was really born in Hawaii. Please take off the distortion googles. Give up this rant. You are wrong. Get over it.

Barack Obama, 44th President of the United States of America by Popular Vote.

      • eddie47d

Eddie G go watch your favorite movie: the anti-Obama film 2016 . It even says (more than once) that Obama was born in Hawaii. Maybe you should go thump the Trump who used political theatrics to spread false information.

    • Capitalist at Birth

What happens to the Second Amendment if the Senate ratifies this treay?

      • Capitalist at Birth

And who will be able to afford to purchase the weapons and ammunition. This is not much different from what Hitler and Lenin/Stalin did earlier in the last century, me thinks.

      • Steve E

I would die before I give up my Second Amendment.

      • Mike

Treaties do not trump Constitutional Amendments guys. Mike S above is correct that you’d need 2/3rds vote in both houses, the 38 state senates and the prez’s signature. There is NO way that would happen with at Republican majority in the House of Representatives. Honestly in your lifetime haow many amendments to the constitution have even made it through let alone one repealing something as fundamental as the 2nd Amendment. I’m not saying don’t be vigilant. Just that it would take a freaking act of God to repeal the 2nd.

      • DaveH

        Mike,
One would have thought Obamacare was a slam-dunk to be declared UnConstitutional also.
We can’t expect one of the gang (Supreme Court) to turn on the rest of their gang. Only the people can change that and a large portion of them are obviously brain-dead. Witness the reelection of Obama.

    • RP

I agree with you, but their thoughts are that a treaty made with the UN will over rule Constitutional law. They think international laws and treaties are supreme to our own laws.

    • DaveH

The problem, Lawrence, is that the Federal Government has not been in Compliance with the Constitution since almost the beginning of our Country. They will grab whatever Power we don’t stop them from grabbing.

    • DaveH

This is perhaps the most apt statement about Government that I’ve ever read:
“To say governments were formed to protect the rights of men would be historically incorrect. Almost all governments were formed by ruthless men exerting their will over others through the use of force”.
      Everybody should read this:

      • Cliffystones

What’s the matter with you, Time? Don’t you know” Just as these UN fools pass their law all of those “Insurgents, armed gang members, pirates, terrorists.” and so forth are going to line up outside City Hall, the local police station, the UN building, etc. The’ll just have to give up all of their guns. I mean, they wouldn’t want to be violating the new gun law, would they?

        Sarcasm off………

Cliffy the “Insurgents, armed gang members, pirates, terrorists.” and so forth are going to line up outside City Hall, the local police station, the UN building to pick up all that ammo the Government agencies been ordering these last few Months to use against us who won’t give up our weapons , the DNA of the Government using these guys as their squad is evident in their use of Radicals in the Middle east to Over throw those Governments … HA HA HA its going to be a battle man !!!!

      • Karolyn

TIME – Many call me a hypocrit, but you so obviously talk out of both sides of your mouth. On one side you bait and denigrate people and on the other side you wish them “peace and love.” However, no matter how hypocritical you are, I have to say that I appreciate some of your input and have learned from you. Contrary to your way, I try to hear what different “sides” are saying before coming to my own decisions.

        Oh Dear Karolyn,

        I am far from ” Incon sistent.” ~ { I am Abundantly CLEAR ~ how I feel about ~ the “OVER ~ INTRUSIVE” ~ Criminal De Facto City state of the District Of Columbia.}

I never will wavior on this topic for any reason.

Thus Nothing is simple, nor is anything that stems from that hive of Criminals Clear Cut, nor do their words hold value within the scope of TRUTH, Yes, indeed they have a NANO amount of Truth set within the vast text they blow out at you, that I will grant you, ~ but then again, if one has no clue what that NANO bit may be, then it slides right past the UNINFORMED Mass’s.

Thus ~ the “TRUE ~ VALUE” of words is the ~ game, thus understaning these word values is mega important. Also one has to understand the Mystery Schools for what they really are, Thats the only way one will ever be able to see the game plan under the LIGHT of its TRUE ROOTS.
Thus its the one and only way to understand not only the TRUE VALUE of the words used to control as well manipulate Humans , but to also understand the END GAME these Vampires are waging on HUMAN KIND as a whole. They CHANGE YOU, as well your thinking patterns, rather than allowing YOU the Freedom you were granted by YAH.

Do I like the idea of hurting people, ~ NO!
Do I think others should Infringe on your rights, or anyone elses rights for any reason at all? NO!
Will I hold Peace and Love in High esteem? YES!
Will I allow any Criminal to control me or you with out exposing them to the light of TRUTH? NO!

You do the digging and you will find that you can not disprove that ~ ALL US Military Schools and traing follow a manual about “DIS- ARMING” ~ the American people, for the Criminal’s who hide behind our Childrens bodys that are being used as Human shields to enforce these Criminal’s FAKE LAWS ~ who have also stolen the Wealth of this nation, from under the very nose’s of the People on the land.

Would anyone who believes in “FREEDOM” give in to a criminal no matter who they are? If so, they are not much of a person who believes in FREEDOM ~ Now are they?

If you learn anything from me ~ the only thing I would hope you learn is that: The Christ was sent to us ~ to unflod a NEW ~ way of thinking, a way to aid Humans in finding a path to the PURE LIGHT of LOVE,
BUT ~ At no point in TIME did the Christ want FREE HUMANS to allow EVIL to grow on the land nor within their hearts nor SOULS

So its rather ~ Strange how Humans have done their damm best to go backwards on mass and as fast as they can.
Whats even more so odd is thats called {“PROGRESSIVE” } in their bent minds, to enslave others for their own personal gain is not being Progressive, thats called “REGRESSIVE.”

Been there and done that, for thousands of years.

        Peace and Love.

Because their trade mark of fear and smear would then be diluted Karolyn. They couldn’t function if the issue was discussed on its own merits instead of these possibly false implications. If they can continually keep the issues conflicted it improves ratings. Even you and I come back to see what the next line of bull is and I just keep questioning over and over. Some do bite into the whole apple and accept everything said with gleeful anticipation.

      • DaveH

Eddie, you rarely discuss anything on its own merits. Unless by “merits” you mean whatever conjecture you can pull out of your favorite storage place.

      • eddie47d

Your reply has no merit so I reckon that makes you merit-less!

Shortly after the first earnest Progressive took office (Teddy Roosevelt) the Federal Government started looking for ways to spread its wings. There was the FDA and the anti-trust laws starting with Teddy, but still there were Constitutional constraints that shackled the Federal Government from growing too much. Those constraints were done away with in one fell swoop under Woodrow Wilson with the 16th & 17th Amendments and the creation of the Federal Reserve to finance Big Government growth. The rest is history. The Central Government has grown out of all proportion to the size which our Founders envisioned to be safe for our Liberty.
That is what Central Governments do — Grow. And being further removed from the voters than the Local Governments, it’s much easier for them to get away with feathering their own nests. Now, take the UN. It’s an Un-elected body of Leaders which was established By the Leaders For the Leaders. The citizens have no vote in the matter. So not only are they far removed from the Voter’s will (so much for the “Democracy” that Progressives are always touting), but we don’t even get a Vote in the matter. Why would they possibly be concerned with what WE want?
The UN is the Biggest Threat to our Sovereignty that has ever existed. The threat of the Federal Government pales in comparison.
Get us OUT of the UN!
Here are Ten More Reasons to get us OUT of the UN (note that I don’t necessarily endorse all of them):

Are you so complicated you can’t understand simple? Terrible way to be. Finding hidden meaning in everything. Fearing whatever the government says. Constantly finding what might be wrong in even the simplest edict. Taking everything apart to find the minutest aspect that might be considered “unamerican.” Living with constant mistrust. Distrusting fellow earth dwellers in general. Cynicism and pessimism are a terrible waste.

        Karolyn,
Here’s where most conservatives and liberals disagree the most: Can we trust our government to do what’s best for the most people? Liberals think they can be trusted, Conservatives do not.
Looking at governments track record of being disconnected from the citizenry, and its incredible inefficiency, I find it hard to trust them with anything, especially when they are making deals with other countries, many of whom despise us.
The scariest part is their new ability to label anyone a “terrorist”, even patriotic Americans who will stand up for the second amendment. Heck, I’m probably on their “watch” list for posting this.

      • Kate8

Mikey – Me, too… but what does it matter? There is no place for the aware and freedom lovers in the “new world”.

Notice not one Republican brought up any real issues with Obama. None of his treasonous actions were mentioned. Everyone, whether guv or the media, tiptoes around this guys’ lies and treachery, and the slumbering public yawns and says, “when do I get my check?”.

The sad truth is that every position needed for the communist takeover of America is now filled, in all government locales, in the military, media, NGOs…everything. Soon we will lose the internet as a means of information, too.

They keep us squabbling until we are hopelessly corralled, and then it’s too late. That time appears to be at our doorstep.

Is there hope for us? That is the question of the times. I would say, not as long as we sit back waiting for someone to save us. Perhaps the most we can hope for is that we can purchase a future for our grandchildren with our own lives. What these monsters have planned for us is too horrific to contemplate.

    • Bill

Think of it like this Karolyn, If you were living in an area like the one that was hit by the recent storm, and you had no food, water, power or police protection, would you want to have the right to own a firearm to protect yourself from the bands of roaming looters that wanted to take anything you own?

That’s what happened in many neighborhoods hit by Sandy. And some other disaster could hit your neighborhood and you could be faced with the same situation

      • stopspending

Karolyn, after the gov response to Benghazi, the resulting cover up and the media treatment of the whole affair, I do not trust this admin nor the media who is supposed to provide information. Now, we find out Iran shot at our drone right before the election but the admin also kept that “classified” until after the election. Obama told Putin he would have more “flexibility” after the election. Why in the world should anyone trust the garbage that the admin is putting out to the people? I think they have clearly shown they can not be trusted.

      • TIME

        Dear Bill,

A point I would like to add to your post is that. {The South East States } sent crews of Line Men as well as Construction, plus others who were willing to give aid to the states that have been effected by the storm.
The numbers ~vary ~ but the average count is around 1500 plus workers and their trucks and such.

(( Yet The State of NY, NJ, and PA, sent them packing back home,)) ~~~ Why you ask?

        They were not “UNION.”

As in the Union workers are getting tripple TIME pay for this work, and they sure can’t have {non union} people who are helping at “NO COST” as it makes the Union people look like the ~ SLUDGE ~ they really are.

Let alone the power would have been up and running 100000000 X faster, ** just for the record, many are still without power, gas and in some case’s FOOD and they will be for at least 8 – 15 more days.

Oh and lets not forget that special gang of criminals noted as “FEMA” You know the brain trust they are, Well placed their help lines on the Internet, > wow that works out for people with “NO ELECTRIC power.”
Plus the FEMA’S centers they did set up were only open for a few days then closed due to “BAD WEATHER”

        HELLO is anyone out there?

Peace and Love be with you.

      • JeffH

TIME, exactly right. I did hear something about that on my local AM station and I believe I heard it from Hannity while passing thru FOX. Other than that, the rest of the MSM is still gloating over O’mans victory and reviling everthing else.

    • TML

Livingston says, “But the Programme of Action calls for a centralized registration system to track all small arms purchases”

Livingston says, “Insurgents, armed gang members, pirates, terrorists.”

Karolyn says, “Why can’t something just be what it says it is?”

That’s exactly the problem. What it exactly say is up to interpretation without clearly defining what constitutes “insurgents”, “pirates”, “terrorists”, or armed “gang members”… and as the wording of the NDAA reads, “associated forces”. As I’ve mention before, one man’s terrorist is another man’s patriot. Using such vague wording and elastic meanings, even the gun-toting, law-abiding, American home owner could be labeled a terrorist or insurgent if desired.

Add to that the historical facts that any country that has ultimately banned firearms all together started with centralized registration (a means of identifying and collection if so decided)… and being imposed by a foreign body… is a very dangerous threat for the second amendment rights of a free people.

“The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.” – Thomas Jefferson

“The beauty of the Second Amendment is that it may not be needed until they try to take it” – Thomas Jefferson

There is no doubt that if such a situation was ever truly called for, your government today would label its own citizens, even such a Jefferson, a “terrorist”.

      • Vicki

The government of the time certainly had nothing nice to say about the founding fathers.

    • http://www.facebook.com/kansas.bright Kansas Bright

You need to read it to know what it actually says.
Some background for you: Obama, Panetta, and Gen Dempsey “gave” the USA to the UN to be ruled by it, pay taxes to it, etc. They said (in front of the senate, in a letter to Boehner, in videos) that they do NOT represent the USA, but represent the UN. That they gave “authority” over the US Military to the UN.

Of course all of this is treason and illegal. But most people do not even realize it.

      • Kate8

Kansas – Yes, I do recall seeing that video clip of them saying just that.

The thing is, how do they give away something that is not theirs to give? Who among us gave our consent?

The question is whether we are going to accept it, go along with it, or…
