Obama At Florida Rally: ‘Where’s My Plan?’

President Barack Obama spoke at a rally in Tampa, Fla., and tried to make sure everyone knew his economic plan. There was only one problem: He couldn’t find his plan.

Obama’s plan, “A Plan for Jobs & Middle-Class Security,” is a 20-page, glossy magazine that the campaign released just two weeks from Election Day. In it, Obama explains his five-point plan to turn around the economy.

While referencing his plan at the recent campaign stop, the President lost his copy.

“Where’s my plan?” Obama asked.

He then realized it had fallen off his podium to the ground.

“Oh, it dropped. I couldn’t find my plan,” he said.

Romney campaign spokesperson Ryan Williams responded to Obama’s plan: “A glossy pamphlet two weeks before an election is no substitute for a real agenda for America. Instead of offering a plan to get our economy back on track and create new jobs, President Obama is offering more tax increases, more spending, more debt, and fewer jobs.”

    This is Obama’s 45 point plan – Though it was written and submitted into Congressional records on January 10th, 1963 making it nearly 50 years old. Take the time to read his plan and compare these goals to what we have today. This congressional Record fits Obama and the Democratic platform to a “T”, and nearly all goals have been accomplished.     EXTENSION OF REMARKS OF HON. A. S. HERLONG, JR. OF FLORIDA

    IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

    Thursday, January 10, 1963

    Mr. HERLONG. Mr. Speaker, Mrs. Patricia Nordman of De Land, Fla., is an ardent and articulate opponent of communism, and until recently published the De Land Courier, which she dedicated to the purpose of alerting the public to the dangers of communism in America.

    CURRENT COMMUNIST GOALS

    1. U.S. acceptance of coexistence as the only alternative to atomic war.

    2. U.S. willingness to capitulate in preference to engaging in atomic war.

    3. Develop the illusion that total disarmament [by] the United States would be a demonstration of moral strength.

    4. Permit free trade between all nations regardless of Communist affiliation and regardless of whether or not items could be used for war.

    5. Extension of long-term loans to Russia and Soviet satellites.

    6. Provide American aid to all nations regardless of Communist domination.

    7. Grant recognition of Red China. Admission of Red China to the U.N.

    8. Set up East and West Germany as separate states in spite of Khrushchev’s promise in 1955 to settle the German question by free elections under supervision of the U.N.

    9. Prolong the conferences to ban atomic tests because the United States has agreed to suspend tests as long as negotiations are in progress.

    10. Allow all Soviet satellites individual representation in the U.N.

    11. Promote the U.N. as the only hope for mankind. If its charter is rewritten, demand that it be set up as a one-world government with its own independent armed forces. (Some Communist leaders believe the world can be taken over as easily by the U.N. as by Moscow. Sometimes these two centers compete with each other as they are now doing in the Congo.)

    12. Resist any attempt to outlaw the Communist Party.

    13. Do away with all loyalty oaths.

    14. Continue giving Russia access to the U.S. Patent Office.

    15. Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.

    16. Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions by claiming their activities violate civil rights.

    17. Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers’ associations. Put the party line in textbooks.

    18. Gain control of all student newspapers.

    19. Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under Communist attack.

    20. Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policymaking positions.

    21. Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures.

    22. Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to “eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings, substitute shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms.”

    23. Control art critics and directors of art museums. “Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art.”

    24. Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them “censorship” and a violation of free speech and free press.

    25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.

    26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as “normal, natural, healthy.”

    27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with “social” religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity which does not need a “religious crutch.”

    28. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of “separation of church and state.”

    29. Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.

    30. Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the “common man.”

    31. Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of the “big picture.” Give more emphasis to Russian history since the Communists took over.

    32. Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture–education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc.

    33. Eliminate all laws or procedures which interfere with the operation of the Communist apparatus.

    34. Eliminate the House Committee on Un-American Activities.

    35. Discredit and eventually dismantle the FBI.

    36. Infiltrate and gain control of more unions.

    37. Infiltrate and gain control of big business.

    38. Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand [or treat].

    39. Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose Communist goals.

    40. Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.

    41. Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents. Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents.

    42. Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and special-interest groups should rise up and use ["]united force["] to solve economic, political or social problems.

    43. Overthrow all colonial governments before native populations are ready for self-government.

    44. Internationalize the Panama Canal.

    45. Repeal the Connally reservation so the United States cannot prevent the World Court from seizing jurisdiction [over domestic problems. Give the World Court jurisdiction] over nations and individuals alike.

    Obama finally speaks the truth…”Where’s my plan?” I remember vividly a Democrat Governor who presided over double didgit unemployment in her state for years as businesses left in droves burried by taxes and hand outs. People left too. When she ran for re-election her cry was…”The plan is working”. As she won re-election due to the Republican Party’s innability to put up a real candidate (Hmmm….) she continued to preside over what was a one state recession as it became nationwide with the current administration. Under her plan there was unlimited wellfare benefits, 26% unemployment and business taxes were 23%. The largest metro area in the state lost 25% of its population as people left. The rest of the state lost 10 to 15% of its population. Real estate prices plunged an average 40% with the largest metro area of the state losing. 90 to 95% of it’s value. You could buy a home in the largest city for $1500 but the taxes, water bills and insurance rates due to uncontrolable crime prevented people from buying even at those prices. This governor was so successful that Mr. Obama even appointed her to his team of economic advisors during his campaign and shortly after he was elected. The “plan” is working.
    Then the Dems were thrown out. In two years the state went from the highest unemployment rate and people leaving in droves to the state experiencing the fastes rate of growth of any state in the nation. Oh…and unlimited wellfare benefits were eliminated. Welcome to Michigan. We already know what Obamanomics will do for an economy.

      And here I sit in ILL with the VERY same situation. Progressive Corruption is rampant and has been for decades. Home values have plummeted and property taxes have skyrocketed. Many have bit the bullet and taken their loses and moved to Indiana. Property taxes are 25% of ILL and you can get an equivalent home for 80% of the ILL home. Progressives have destroyed this state. They are the equivilent to a plague of locusts.

If you see the movie “Obama’s America 2016″ or read the book “Obama’s America”….the unmaking of the American dream you will better understand what is inside Obama’s head. Denish D’Souza has written the best explanation of Obama that I have heard, read, seen. What is it? Obama is an “anti-colonialist”, “anti-capitalist”. He does not like the fact that America is a great country. In his mind we (America) must be knocked down a notch or two so that we are on par with the poorer countries of the world. He is doing this by expanding entitlement programs.that make huge deficits. “SPREAD THE WEALTH AROUND” He is a student of Sal Alinsky, Richard Cloward, Frances Pevin and a host of Liberal Progressive Marxist leaning college professors. All these people advocate one form of Socialism or another. Everything Obama stands in front of you and tells you is exactly the opposite of what he is attempting to do. If he actually told you the truth about what he is attempting to do he would be tarred feathered and run out of the country. Obama is a cool operator. Through thick and thin he stays his course of diminishing the status and wealth of America. His goal is the complete opposite of the majority of the GOOD Americans.
    This is why he must go. We CAN NOT allow this country to be destroyed by his administration.

      the prospects for the average patriotic american are in a permanent state of decline..
      why would the average patriotic american desire this to continue?

      Why would your average patriotic american seek a leader who claims that the return
      or continuation of “free market, unregulated, capitalism” is the solution to the problem
      caused by “free market, unregulated capitalism”? Or that it will now produce prosperity,
      when the evidence is that it has done precisely the opposite?

      Of course, being an average patriotic american is a matter of circumstance, a statistical
      condition or result……..that it suggest any other qualities, desires, or attributes other
      than this is purely speculative………and given the possibility that your average patriotic american appears to be uncertain as to what the results of capitalism and colonialism,
      have been, are, and will continue to be………clearly any claim to intelligence or reasoning ability on the part of your average patriotic american would be one for which no evidence actually exists.

Why didn’t he come up with his plan a few years ago. 2 weeks before the election doesn’t give us much time to review it and get some opinions as to whether it will work or not. It will have to be studied. Romney came up with his plan a long time ago and obama’s team could study it, unfortunately, they weren’t up to the task of understanding it without twisting it around.

He was saying ” You know you can trust me, you know me, I say what I mean and I do what I say” the crowd gave a resounding cheer! ?

      Not really! The fact that he had a plan written up means he has his act together and voters will know exactly what he means. Verbal off the cuff speeches mean nothing unless you have a written policy to back those words up. Most politicians make all kinds of promises or have a wish list and that includes Obama. Romney makes numerous pledges and has a wish list of his own yet can you believe a word he says with or without a script? He changes is mind on everything to get elected and then changes it back once in office. A man who flip flops as much as Romney does can’t be a chameleon all his life to please his immediate audience. Yet I think alot of you have bought into it. In other words Obama was prepared in what he could deliver so it is unfortunate that you mock someone who did his “homework”.

Ron Paul is strong on both social issues and financial issues and I favored him when I first arrived on this site.         Eddie, this discussion has perhaps missed the point, to wit, that “I have a plan” is four years too late. To even make such a statement is to admit that the “plan” for the first four years didn’t work.

        The stakes are too high for a leader to treat the nation as if it were an experimental laboratory. CEOs, coaches and quarterbacks are measured and paid for their successes. Four year losing streaks are rectified by firing and replacement.

        While indicators in a few areas are reflecting marginal improvement, neither the pace of improvement nor the failures in other areas point to a vindication of the progressive policies put in place by this administration.

        It’s admittedly unlikely that our economic strength as a nation will substantially improve in the next four years no matter who is elected. The mounting deficits and national debt, coupled with profligate monetary policies of the Federal Reserve, have attained a momentum that may be impossible to reverse.

        Unlike Bill Clinton, Barack Obama refused to tend toward the political center in the wake of the 2010 midterm elections. That factor alone provides a peek at what the next four years would be like under Obama. We simply cannot afford it.

Everything has to be written out for him so he knows where he stands on any issue. He couldn’t even tell his supporters what his plan was because he couldn’t find the paper it was written on which means it probably isn’t his plan at all but one that someone made up for him.       If you have ever taken a course in speech and public presentation, then you know that keeping important facts and figures close at hand is one of the basics. Sure, you can try and get through without those notes, but then you run the risk of looking stupid. Take Paul Ryan and his (and Romney’s) claim of “6 studies that prove Romney’s tax plan works”. If he had the studies on hand, or at least the facts that they presented he wouldn’t have come off so bad. Then again, those “6 studies” turned out to be a lie, so it’s no wonder he didn’t have them available.

I taught for a job and not once did I need a sheet to read from when it was my ideas, but teachers use the all the time when it is not their idea. Dear Leader has had 3 3/4 years to fix the econ and has made it worse. Can you say hyperinflation? Can you say theft by devaluation of the dollar? Can you say Massive Unemployment (Where is the liberal nobrain press on this, they sure hated Bushes 5%+.

First, useful idiot, the only way your White House Messiah is close to being ‘the smartest guy in the room’ is when he’s the ONLY one in that room. Second, IF he has a plan for ANYTHING, you’d think he could at least cover the basics, instead of having to FIND that fricking plan. Why take one with you if you can’t find it? DUH.
        Third, your collective standards for “leaders” are so LOW that it’s safe to conclude that you don’t have any. Fourth, if you have kids, I hope they move out as soon as they can, if only to reduce the odds of having been contaminated. Are utopians obligated to tell their kids that they’re lucky that they survived the abortion lottery?
        On the whole, except for some folks who look at being behind bars as an improvement, utopians are the most pathetic, collectively retarded and anti-freedom herd of scum that I’ve ever been around.
        When is the last time you had an independent thought? As much as I hate to admit it, I almost have to conclude that abortion should be reserved exclusively for utopians, so eventually the world will have fewer and fewer of you [do you look forward to living in a country like Greece or North Korea?].       Let’s all pray really , really hard for Romey. Obama had his turn and now he’s attempting to pull magic tricks out of his —. That first debate was very telling. The President is lost without his teleprompter and looked like a lost soul. Don’t know about the rest of you, but I’m tired of paying for those who do little-food stamps, cell phones (some ohave two or three, some selling them) , lifelines, healthcare, housing-what else? When will these people try helping themselves? I’m retired and paid more taxes last year than the year before. Plus Obamacare-I would like to know who has taken the time to read it and understand all that is involved. As I see it, the average working person will have more taken out of his pay to support this healthcare plan. If you vote for Obama, you have to be totally insane.
