Democrats Nearly Come To Blows At Debate

Two Californian Congressmen are fighting for votes. Really, they are. The cop on duty had to step in.

No punches were thrown, but they came close. Democratic Representatives Brad Sherman and Howard Berman don’t seem too fond of each other.

The Berman campaign said that the debacle is proof that Sherman is not fit for the office.

“At a debate in front of local college students Congressman Brad Sherman loses his mind and acts like a bully,” said Berman campaign adviser Brandon Hall. “This speaks directly to his temperament that is totally unsuitable for anyone, especially for a member of Congress. The Valley deserved better.”

According to the Jewish Journal, the altercation was a result of Berman taking credit for the DREAM Act.

The debate then turned into a scene reminiscent of something out of Looney Tunes.


 
“Berman versus Sherman” sounds like the main event of a poorly produced pro wrestling event. Actually, that may not be a bad idea. Perhaps former Minnesota Governor Jesse “The Body” Ventura could help make it happen.

    I seen this a few days ago ~ and could not understand all the fuss. ~

    Except for the pointing finger, this was a standard lively discussing.

    I don’t like finger pointing. ~ Finger pointing is for women, something a woman can employ and get away with. ~

    It is poor body language for a man to point with a single finger ~ A man uses his open hand to point and direct.

    I have seen men get in trouble over such poor posturing. ~ but what is new?

    Mr. Nash must have a pretty low tollerance for live action. That shouting match was pretty mild and a LONG way from “coming to blows”.

    I didn’t see anything too extreme here. Seriously, keep debates/town halls civilized. This isn’t WWE, it’s supposed to be an avenue for candidates to talk about their ideas to move us forward.

      Perhaps, but to me it’s more reminiscent of the Jerry Springer Show. Did you hear the whooping and hollering going on by those college students? Not too many decades ago, the audience would have been stunned into embarrassed silence. Today, it’s a bloodthirsty WWE atmosphere that calls for Roman Circus rather than reasoned debate.

      These are the voters of today and tomorrow. Shadow trumps substance, socialist programming trumps true education, and these kids will not even approach a level of maturity sufficient for an informed vote until they’re at least 40 years old.

      Indeed, look at the players in the political arena, but level your scrutiny at the electorate first. We will get what we deserve on November 6th.

    Big whop tee doo! Nothing more than a disagreement among politicians. Could have just as easily been Republicans. Yawn! Have you all forgot about the contentious behavior at the Republican Debates? I’m surprised those candidates are still talking to each other.
