Anti-Abortion Ad Aims At President Obama

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., (UPI) – An anti-abortion activist running for Congress from South Florida has launched a controversial ad against President Barack Obama’s re-election.
Randall Terry said his television ad, titled “Samuel L. Jackson Carries Water for Racists,” is something people “will never forget,” the South Florida Sun Sentinel reported Wednesday.
The advertisement criticizes the actor for his support of the president and asserts that abortion of African-American fetuses amounts to “black genocide.”
Graphic pictures of dismembered fetuses are included in the ad.
Terry, who lives in West Virginia but is running against U.S. Rep. Alcee Hastings, D-Fla., said he hopes to convince black voters to abandon Obama.
Federal law gives congressional candidates considerable leeway when it comes to television ad content, the newspaper said.
Joanne Stermer, the president of Broward County’s chapter of the National Organization for Women, called Terry’s ad disgusting.
