Dear Democratic Party,

I wish it didn’t have to be this way, but you just haven’t left me with any other choice. We’ve been together for decades now — since the days of President Roosevelt (the “New Deal” one, not the “Man in the Arena” one), if not earlier. I’ve put up with your madness because I wanted to make it work. After all, we do share a home. But this just isn’t working out anymore. And I just wanted to let you know why.

The money is a real problem. I work hard to keep us afloat; yet I can’t seem to make enough to satisfy you. And the things on which you spend my hard-earned dough really don’t work for me. It’s bad enough that you spend my cash like a high-school girl who got ahold of Daddy’s American Express Gold Card, but your spending habits don’t even make sense. Obamacare? So now, not only do I have to cover your doctor’s bills, but the IRS is going to break down the front door if I refuse? And after all that, some stuffed suit from the Department of Health and Human Services is going to means-test my viability? I’m sorry, honey; that doesn’t work for me.

And your pal Bernanke and his “quantitative easing” are making the cash I do earn worth less than the commemorative copies of those Michael Moore DVDs you keep buying. Also: Have you ever considered staying at a regular hotel? You know the Holiday Inn Express may not offer the same high-thread-count sheets as the Four Seasons, but it does have a nice breakfast buffet — and there’s a rumor that staying there can boost your brainpower a bit. You should consider that. And there are perfectly fashionable clothes out there that don’t cost as much as the rest of us make in a month. Some of them even fit — a tip you should share with your BFF, Michelle Obama.

I’m also not comfortable with some of the people with whom you hang out. That Barry Obama guy is a perfect example. He’s never held down a real job in his life, and you think he’s the guy to lead private enterprise back to prosperity? Have you even listened to this guy read a teleprompter? I’ve heard more sense on “The View.” He actually believes in something he calls “redistribution” and the rest of us call “theft.” I can dig your affinity for the whole “retro” thing, but why can’t you just hearken back to the 1980s instead of the 1880s? For someone who pretends to call herself “progressive,” you’re about as forward-looking as the AFL-CIO.

And we need to talk about those clowns, too. Union thugs are not simply bad news, doll. They’re bad guys. I know they seem like fun, but people who cross them have a tendency to meet severe fates. Look at what happened to those old folks who protested Obamacare. For that matter, look at what happened to General Motors. For that matter, look at what happened to Jimmy Hoffa — and he was one of their guys.

The union thugs aren’t even the heaviest hitters around. I know none of your little pals like to talk about it, but that Eric Holder is some piece of work. He’s the top law enforcement official in the United States, and he perjured himself in front of Congress as easily as Obama skips national security briefings to play 18 at Congressional. You really ought to think about the effect an association with a man who thinks engineering and then covering up the murder a Federal agent can have on your reputation.

Then, there are those gals from Planned Parenthood. As I told you before, if you want to vacuum babies out of your uterus, you’re welcome to it. But I can’t be a part of that. I don’t glean any joy from upsetting you; but I’d rather risk your wrath than His, if you get my drift.

And, baby, the fact that you’ll let someone like Joe Biden anywhere near you freaks me out. This is the guy you’re comfortable allowing within one heartbeat of “The Button,” and I’m not convinced he can spell either “heartbeat” or “button.” I’m actually not even convinced he can spell “the.” I’m willing to admit he can be somewhat entertaining, but so can the better Vegas floor shows. And no one thinks the girls with the small clothing and the fans should be one office down from nuclear Armageddon.

I won’t even get into those sock puppets at the Democrat Channel (MSNBC) and the rest of the corporate media flunkies you listen to. The right has some borderline personalities of their own, but your “news” sources are about as informative as those late-night infomercials. Honey, Chris Matthews is absolutely certifiable. Between Chrissie and the rest of the Obama Protection League claiming everything anyone says is racist, we’re all going to end up with a smaller vocabulary than one of those so-called “Occupy” fleabags after a turn in the “hemp tent.”

You also really don’t do well with our neighbors. If someone tries to burn down the house, you don’t give him my money and hope that encourages him to find a new hobby. And you certainly don’t blame me for his lack of compunction. Likewise, blaming our friendlier neighbors because the hoodlums down the street can’t behave themselves is poor form.

We’ve had some good times, baby. But we’ve clearly grown apart. I believe in freedom, justice and American exceptionalism; and you’re a Democrat. It’s time we see other people. I’m going to stay here, since I paid for the place. You should check out some places where the folks share your interests. I’m thinking North Korea. I wish I could say “it’s not you; it’s me;” but I really can’t. It isn’t me; it’s really you.

    I predicted the current trends in our once great nation in 1965, I argued with my Communist teacher in my Sociology class that Communism has never worked and never will, simply because it is contrary to human nature. I was right that the sheeple in this country would become so brainwashed that they would vote to steal from their fellow citizens who happen to have EARNED more than they. That there would be enough to tip the balance in their favor and destroy the economic engine of the free market. There will be a two class society coming to a theater near you. The wealthy ruling elite and the rest of us who will share in what is left, despair and hopelessness. Just like “Animal Farm” by George Orwell. I pray that I was and am wrong. God Bless America.

    Just a few suggestions how to divide the community assets. Since both sides are so different and have disparate tastes, it should be easy.

    First the Dems can keep redistributive taxes, progressives, the liberal judges and the ACLU! We will take our firearms, the cops, the NRA and our military!

    The Dems can keep Oprah, Michael Moore and Rosie McDonnell. It will be a BIG job trying to transport these BIG names in a Volt. We will keep capitalism, working Americans, corporations, Wal-Mart and Wall Street.

    I am sure the Dems need their beloved homeless, homeboys, hippies, OWS, and illegal aliens. We want the hot Alskan hockey moms, CEOs and our gun toting rednecks that cling to their bibles.

    Dems can have NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, MSN and Hollywood. We will keep our bibles and our religion.

    Dems should keep their friends like Iran and Palestine, Hamas, and the other terrorists and we will retain the right to invade and hammer the places that threaten us and murder our ambassador.

    Lets not forget to let the Dems have their peaceniks and war protestors, we will keep our right to provide our allies security and protect ourselves when we are under assault.

    The Dems are welcome to Islam (in fact, we insist that you take it with you) along with Scientology, Humanism, drug cartels and their other criminal friends. We will keep our Judeo-Christian values, our patriotism, the flag, Battle Hymn of the Republic, our National Anthem and our Constituion.

    You Dems can keep obamacare(even though most Dems have exemptions from this plan) if you can find any practicing doctors. We will keep the finest medical care in the world and pay our healthcare givers enough to make a good living.

    Dems can keep spending their money on little green cars, bankrupt corporations, and we will keep our big 450 engines and Ford. Dems can also keep their windmills, and we will retain and develop our oil and gas resources.

    At the end of five years, we will see which half of the country is prospering and which is penniless. My money is on the side of the conservative, responsible, hard-working Americans that have kept the Constitution along with their right to be a free, independent people.

        It is no secret that Romney is simply an extension of Obama, He was placed into the GOP with the assistance of the MSM because knowing that there must be 2 parties the liberals wanted to dress Romney in a Republican suit knowing that his true intentions are left leaning. The old adage: “you put lipstick on a pig, but it is still a pig”, holds true here. This is no secret, but even still, We have to deal with what we are handed and accepting the lesser of the 2 evils is Romney. Obama has not and never will hold his allegiance to this Country by which he is not a part of this Country and only wants to be a part of its transformation into a 3rd world Country by which he is more familiar to.

        Romney on the other hand was not raised and brainwashed to be a socialist /communist radical as Obama was raised and his wife was raised to be proud of her Country her whole life not just if and when her husband is elected to be President as Michelle Obama has lived her life in a Country by which she has never been proud of until she was able to ride her husbands coat tails into a lavish and luxurious lifestyle on the tax payers dole, only then has she become proud of her Country for the first time, knowing that the tax payers will hand her countless lavish vacations and clothing for her as well as all her friends on the tax payers dole. How many people congregate around lawyers and attorneys because they simply like their attitudes and character. Anyone with half a knowledge of lawyers and attorneys know they all lie on a daily basis and the only reason one cares to be around them is to mooch off the money they have stolen from their clients and County commissioners.

        How many of those friends that Moochele picks up the tab to whisk off on lavish vacations on the Americans dole would still be friends with her if she wasn’t in the White House with access to unlimited vacationing funds?

    After reading all these posts, let me put in my 2 cents. The Dems can rag on Romney as much as they want, I don’t care. As far as the Reps posting here, you really don’t have a choice – support Romney or see Obama for another 4 years. According to all the polls (only one that matters is in November), Romney is losing. This is the problem – Even though Romney was a gov, I really don’t consider him a politician. I look at Romney as a smart, savy business man, and personally, I think that’s what this country needs. Once elected, I think he will surprise a lot of people – Dems and Rep alike.

      Are you really going to believe the polls of a biased, paid off, bailed out and threatened press? There is only one poll that counts and it will be taken on Nov 6th. There are a lot of people who don’t participate in polling because of the B.S. Just go vote, you may be surprised.

      Polls you see and read about claiming Romney is losing and Obama is winning are manipulated and conjured by the left wing nuts in attempts to convince the uniformed to lean toward voting for the winner.
      People who do not engage and inform them self of the facts and simply glance at the score board from time to time always lean towards and cheer the winning team and not the underdog. If people are cheering a name, the uniformed join in without reason just because they follow what they think the majority of others are doing is right.

      Look at the OWS groups, most of them interviewed had no idea what they were protesting or why, they just followed the masses.

      The MSM and other liberal media outlets know that if they constantly and continually advertise false statements and lies and biased polls that they will be able to manipulate the lesser informed voters to vote Dem without actual knowledge of who or why they are voting for them.

      Take Dem Eric Holder for example on his theory of manipulation of the people. He clearly and precisely stated that keep repeating it and “brainwash” the people. In that example, he was referring to brainwashing people into thinking that firearms are a bad thing. But the Democrats use that theory for everything.

      Here is an example of how the Democrats use brainwashing theory to manipulate mind control rather than laying out the facts and letting people think for them self they take the path of mind control, brainwashing and manipulation.

      1)Romney discovered few investment opportunities himself (and those that he did, often failed to make money for the firm).
      2)He wanted to drop a Bain Capital hedge fund that initially lost money, but other partners prevailed and it eventually gained billions.

      A decent, honest, morally sound person? Think again!

      1)Romney was on the board of directors of Damon Corporation, a medical testing company later found guilty of defrauding the government (who is the gov’t? US!!); Bain Capital tripled its investment before selling off the company, and the fraud was discovered by the new owners (Romney was never implicated).
      2)Dade Behring was another case where Bain Capital received an eightfold return on its investment, but the company itself was saddled with debt and laid off over a thousand employees before Bain Capital exited (the company subsequently went into bankruptcy, with more layoffs, before recovering and prospering).Bain was among the private equity firms that took the most fees in such cases.

      I know that most of you wouldn’t take the time to research the person that you would like to see as our next leader so I did it for you. But don’t take my word for it, go there yourselves.

      And before you jump on me about supporting Oblanko,”He has definetly got to go!!” The guy is a socialist pig globalist who considers all Americans as the 99% and would like nothing better to have US become a third world country!

      So what’s the answer? There is 535 other positions to be concerned with and in reality they are far more important than the presidency. If America really wants to make some change towards a better future that would be the first place to start.Vote in candidates that;
      1)Support and uphold the Constitution!
      2)Create laws that protect American jobs!
      3)Stop foreign funding and aide!
      4)Reinforce import tariffs!
      5)End visa programs!
      6)Remove all rights of illegals and their anchor babies! Their not American so why should they have them in the first place.
      7)Drug testing for entitlements! It’s ok to have employment drug testing but not for hand outs?
      8)Stop all immigration! Set up military bases along borders. Shoot to kill,it’ll stop.
      9)Federal Capital Punishment with daily televised executions for rapists,child molestors,and aggressive violent repeat offenders.
      10)Set up task forces to investigate all SS numbers. Wages war on identity theft,illegal immigration,entitlement fraud and no drug use policies,prevents the further use of expired SS numbers.
      11)ALL pay equal percentage of taxes including Businesses!
      12)Increase minimum wage to at least $10/hr.
      13)End war and apply military spending to protect our country from invaders.
      14)All invest in America only! No more tax evasion using offshore accounts.
      15)End the fed reserve and move toward central banking.
      We have plenty to fix here at home and plenty of resource to be self sufficeint. We can and always have found ways to make this GREAT nation thrive. it is time to do just that. If we need it we will build it!

        There is a argument of law that is somewhat odd regarding rights and access that could possibly apply.

        To openly and willfully ignore a right or law or a violation for years and then one day jump and attempt to enforce it does not fair well in a court of law.

        for example; You can not deny someone access to their property by denying them access to yours.

        and for the record, ~ there is no comparison between between MItt Romney and OBama other then the fact they are contender for the same position.

    We have got to get the Clinton’s back in the White House. If we can get Hillary sworn in as President she will do four things; #1. She will get her husband’s law-license re-instated. She will appoint him to the Justice Department as Attorney-General. #2. By getting legal-cover like this she will be able to appoint two of her favorite campaign donors. #3. She will appoint James Riady as Secretary of State. This will give the Clinton’s un-limited access to direct bribes from foreign-governments. #4. She will appoint Marc Rich as leader of the Commerce Department. (This man is a genius at getting access to people who hold high-public office ! He will be able to bypass and buy off highly placed political-office holder’s in foreign governments ! Indeed, he has been able to do the same with office-holder’s in the American-government ! Hillary needs a highly-talented businessman like this to advance the American trade-policy overseas.)

    George W Bush went from paying down debt to DOUBLING the US debt again by doling out tax cuts, going into two badly done wars. Bush made sure the only people sacrificing during these two wars were military families which shows the ultimate disdain for the military. The Size of the Fed Gov also grew

    Mitt Romeny saddled MA with huge debt and they love him so much that he is down 28 points in the latest polls. His partner Paul Ryan now fancies himself as a fiscal conservative… Well his record of voting for the wars, tax cuts, Medicare “reform” and countless other pork for his state shows otherwise.

    Conservatives, you have spent the last 30 years taking credit for everything right, blaming others for things you did wrong… Since 2009, you have engaged in obstructionism, lying about Obama and his record, hell your RNC convention’s first day’s theme is based on the complete lie of “You didn’t build it”. Your party is dying, dying because you support a plutocracy that will lead to this country’s downfall, you find scapegoats in homosexuals and illegals and you believe men, not women know more about women’s health.

    You are awesome at bumpersticker and dirty politics, you just do not know how to lead or the positive role the gov can play in our society. So as you continue to see the old while male vote die off, you will be forced to change from your right wing extremist agenda. It will be a slow death because women, hispanics, blacks, and young people… they don’t like you or the closed minded BS you stand for. So enjoy your last gasps while it last and be sure to take many pictures… because the end is coming…

This mess will take 10 years or more to get us back to normal regardless of whom is in office, Many far right call him the messiah and apparently expect him to perform miracles which no human can. If we would have had a congress willing to help improve things rather that to have as their priority to make him a one term president no doubt things would have been somewhat better by now but still no where near being back to where we were before the 2007-9 deep recession. Clinton said the answer was “Arithmetic” and that would clear up a lot of the fog so prevalent on here but that not only takes a knowledge of math but an open mind and as long as so many do nothing on here but rant and rave that’s not likely to happen at least here.

BUT for a bank to qualify to be a part of the program, you had to have a high CRA score, meaning that you had to have a lot of loans written to low income people. The government was effectively telling banks that if they wanted to be allowed to make money off of the investments of the rich, that they had to also be lending money to the poor. Nice in theory, but look where it has gotten us. Now we are a nation with a bunch of people losing homes they never could afford, and a bunch of banks collapsing because nobody can pay them back!

This summer I took a temporary job 250 miles away to work 10 weeks. Can’t live there, knew it was temporary, like 90% of all available jobs today. What next? Drive 2 hrs a day for $8 hr part time? What happened to my real job? fired for refusing to falsify federal records. That company has been hit 3 times since with medicare fraud, etc. Lots of people want to work, but where? Something is better than nothing? Tell that to the electric company… tell them that you only are going to pay 1/3 of your bill because you are only making 1/4 of the money. See how that works for ya.

      Not every person who is on ssdi is a lazy bum. That was set up as part of a safety net for people in trouble. I could give you many examples of situations where it is needed. Saying that, there still may be some who take advantage but no one is talking about the people who are being honest.
      And honest to goodness, people still on unemployment is that way because there are still no jobs available. Obama can’t do anything to get more jobs going. Get him out of office so we can get some real government going on. It would be nice if we still had Reagan here. He did more to turn the economy around and produce jobs faster than anyone who has ever held that office before. I remember! I told my husband when Clinton took office that it was very nice for him because everything was in pretty good shape so all he has to do is keep the same things going. He did. He had so much free time all he did was play around with Monica in the oval office.

Under prior administrations that you dislike so much I experienced much growth in my career. I had frequent pay raises. My company was able to buy new equipment and update facilities. My health insurance was stellar and now it barely covers anything yet I pay more. All of this has happened in the last 3 years. Your guy seems to still be fighting for freedom for the same folks as the last guy, because we are still in the middle east with more Americans dying in Afganistan in the last 3+ years than in the previous 4 years. There is no oil in Afganistan and I don’t see us getting alot of oil from Iraq. Being a union guy I would think that you like Haliburton since they employ a whole lot of union slackers. Your guy had a chance to make it better, but the only ones he did anything for were the people who were going to get him re-elected. The rest of us are still taking it in the rear.         I am actually too young to receive any entitlements now. But when I retire in 15 years I do expect to receive at least some of the Social Security and Medicare benefits that I will have paid into for 51 years of my working life (I first paid into SSI when I was 16 and will be able to collect at 67). I’m sure given the demographic trends, these benefits will be reduced from what was promised but this is just a fact of fiscal life that all of us will have to deal with.

    1. Once you return to the Republic you can never hold any government office.
    2. You will have to be able to support you and yours in order to stay.
    3. You have no voting rights in the Republic (that’s what got them started in the first place).
    4. You must attended re-education therapy and be pronounced fit to live amongst the Republic in order to achieve full residency.

If it were up to the Republicans, the fact that I served in the military would be a point of shame rather than pride, as for all the noise they make about needing military services, they have NO wish to actually fulfill the contracts they wrote. Mostly, that involved lifelong access to medical services, at NO cost to the service member, or a decent retirement that wasn’t used to take away from other earned retirement funds. The same party who wants every one to pay for their own education, unless you already have enough money to do so, then you should be offered every opportunity for free. The Republican party no longer represents the small businessman or woman, just the moneyed people who don’t have to worry about how they are going to make payroll over the next couple of months.

        I was very surprise the day when the VA directed me to the County Hospital, I admit 20 years had passed since I had separated from the service from a war zone.     I know we have been together for a long time. But something has changed. I remember when Eisenhower, a true Patriot, fought hard for everyday people. When I got my Union job, it was OK because I was building the missiles that defended America during the Cold War. And since I made a decent wage, I was able to provide for my family. I was even able to buy a house – while it was only about 800 square feet, it protected my family.

    But something has changed. It seems as though you have forgotten about me. I know I don’t have a lot of money, but I still need a couple of things. My kids would like to go to school. And the roads I travel on to work are getting kinda old. I know we have to defend freedom around the world, but I guess it’s actually the freedom of Exxon, Shell, Haliburton and Wal-mart is all you care about.

    I don’t like Abortion, but after almost 40 years you think you would have actually done something about that. But it seems as though you have just used that issue to get votes. I’m sorry, but now I realize that issue has more to do with economics than morality.

        While I love this article and feel much the same way, I wonder how many conservatives have actually taken the time to hear what the Left says about us. It’s shocking.

        Even on these threads, the Lefties say the most outrageous things. Like how we want to end social security and throw our grannies to the wolves, how we hate kids and like poisoning food and water in the name of industry. How we hate gays, moms, the poor, the environment, and everything else they use to promote their victim ideology.

        Is there anything wrong with tossing around some NEW ideas, that might work better for everyone? Sometimes the way things have always been has proven inefficient and even gotten out of hand, and it’s worth looking at some new approaches. It does not mean that anyone gets thrown to the wolves.

        The Leftist leadership outright LIES about the right in order to propagandize and garner votes. And, I suspect, a lot of lies are coming out of the Right, too. Keeping up the fight is the name of the game and, while we are squabbling, THEY are are tearing down the very foundation of our society.

        What if we stopped listening to THEM, and had a heart to heart? You know, see if there is any common ground upon which we could build a relationship. If not a marriage, at least be able to live in the same country. But this can’t happen as long as the in-laws (out-laws) are allowed to interfere.

        I know, it’s hard because we don’t speak the same language. But that is because our minds are wired differently. I say one thing, you hear another. We live in altogether different paradigms…. But could we both subscribe to, perhaps, a new paradigm, where we stop listening to those with a whole ‘nother agenda that actually excludes US and come up with something that works for us both? And the family, too.

        Well, maybe not. But it’s at least worth thinking about.

        American people have borrowed, and still owe our creditors, more than $15 trillion dollars. Which is more than any nation IN THE WORLD has ever borrowed. It’s more than ALL the bankrupt European countries currently owe. It’s 5 times what the government brings in in tax revenues each year. We are currently spending $2.4 trillion in transfer payments and interest on the debt. That doesn’t include any other functions of our government.         Obama and the rest of the big spenders will tell you that the deficit doesn’t really matter all the while they are devaluing the dollars we hold. It’s called inflation and it hurts middle and low income people and those with savings the most.

        So since the Democrats gained control of congress in 2006 our government has been binging on “free money” and your dollar is worth about 21% less than it was in 2008.

        So do you really believe that the Democrats have your best interest at heart?

        There are 30 jobs bills currently in congress and every single one of them is held in the Senate by DEMOCRATIC leader Harry Reid who believes that they should not have to make hard decisions in and election year.

        Is this really the type of leadership you want for your country?

        Look at our spending during WW2. It was through the roof! almost at 120% of GDP. So, how did we get out of that mess? Well, for starters, after the war, government spending DID NOT decline due to the Russian threat. However, our unemployment rate was still low, so lots of people were paying taxes allowing the government to actually pay off the WW2 debt.

        How could Johnson fight the Vietnam war AND go to the moon AND end his presidency with a SURPLUS?

        Frank – that over-population thing is a myth propagated by people who want to rule the world and need fewer people for better control. THEY want all of the prime real estate for themselves, and that mean WE have to exit.

        In truth, only a small percentage of land is populated. People are herded into cities, and it looks like too many people that way.

        And, as someone stated, America’s population (especially in the denser states) is due almost entirely to immigration. Had we not flung open the floodgates, we’d still be in a fairly wildland country. Even as it is, much of America is open land.

        In addition, starving people is not the answer. It’s already well-known that the more prosperous people are, the fewer children they produce. If you think reducing the population is such a great idea, I invite you to volunteer yourself and your family to be the first to check out.

        Technologies already exist to provide free energy sources, abundant food supplies and healing technologies far beyond what is foisted on us. They have kept these things hidden in order to keep control of the wealth and the power.

        The PTB are already killing off the people in Africa and other third world areas with diseases and famine. The rest of us are being poisoned by air, water, phude, radiation and “medicines”. That could change if we revised our immigration laws like Canada and some other countries. They only take people that can support themselves and that have something to contribute.

        Avery likely solution to the country’s financial problems is to eliminate all of the federal agencies that are NOT authorized in Article 1, Section 8, of the Constitution. Along with them remove all of their “regulations that are enforced as if they are LAW.” This must include all government give-aways that are not authorized by the Constitution. Congressional give-aways, which are only “vote buying” must be included in the termination.

        AS almost all of the agencies that would be affected were only a federal theft of state agencies that still existed, this should be much less disruptive than it will be portrayed by the liberal socialist press in both print and other media.

        Doc: I have worked since I was 13 yrs. old, paper route, got up @ 6 am delivered papers came home, ate, took a shower and went to school. Worked part time at the school as a janitor when I received my working papers @ 15. When I turned 16 I also worked @ the school full time during the summer and graduated when I was 17. worked at school full time. When I turned 19 I came off my Dad,s health insurance, got a job at a metal fabricating shop sweeping floors and grinding metal and paid for my own health insurance. Worked at several jobs, got married had a child and went to school full time and received my RN Degree. Worked for 30 years, paid into the system since I was 18 and I am now totaly and permanently Disabled unfortunately because I loved my JOB. I collect SSD and my own private Disability that I paid into for years. This is how it is supposed to work. So maybe your 23 year old could go find a job, any job and contribute to his day to day living and maybe even contribute to your houshold and learn a little responsibility. You and tons, of other people probably think this is harsh. But, that is how it works in this country and I want it to stay that way. Not become a Nation of 3rd world wussies!

Health insurance is very expensive, jobs are scarce, money is being concentrated at an unprecidented rate at the top 1% of the population.

        The federal government is the number one denier of healthcare. Far more than the private insurance companies. Almost twice as many claims denied by percentage as private ins. You think ACA is going to pay for you and your son, Ha! Tricked again. You will be paying way more for ACA than you ever dreamed of and good luck convincing some government DMV shlub to make good on your needed care. At least in the private sector you can bring suit, change companies etc.

        D.R. is absolutely correct. I have worked (physical ther) for 38 years and there are more Medicare denials than private insurance. And the past year and a half, the Medicare people have been cutting payment to many more PT and skilled hursing visits. It will be worse next year no matter who is elected, already set up. Years ago I could see someone 3 X week up to 2 months, now the same case is more like 5 or 6 visits. And they’re talking about a huge copayment (Medicare) for every home care admission in the near future. Medicaid for home health care for home health care has been drastically cut, too, in New York ( Andrew Cuomo Dem). They have to cut, they added millons of more people to Medicaid so there’s less funding for each.
        Most people forgot it was Ted Kennedy who was the big champion of HMO’s.

        THIS HAS ALL SHIFTED, THE DYNAMICS HAS CHANGED, on many levels . That many of you refused to take these changes of American companies shift of priorities and demands into account is being nothing less the obtuse and obstinate.

        1. supply & demand forces now great favor employers.
        2. employers have learned how to skirt rules and regulations.
        3. many employers are not require to offer employs insurance at all.
        4. they can and will skirt workman compensation laws as well.
        5. they have learned to skirt the Jones Act as well.
        6. our youth now spend long time in the nest ~ as the expense to move on on their own has sky rocketed since we were children.
        7. Henry Ford understood that his work force was consumers of his product and had to pay them accordingly. While today, most of America’s consumer good are imported.

        I could go on an on with these “Changes” that have rendered an old way of offering and underwriting and providing medical care as greatly changed in the last 30 years and why changes must be made to offset these market changes.

        Until these recent changes, as a small independent contractor I could not even buy health care coverage, ~ I was too small for them to worry with the paper work. ~ My size and age, I was seen as part of the market they did not want to bother with and was not required too.

        It good that I am a healthy man and all my dependents have left the nest years ago but how many other Americans have been in this same boat, ~ denied coverage?

        The rich do create some jobs, they also export a lot of them to other countries (ask Ritt Momney). Most of our jobs are from the middle class which is being squeezed by not having the financial resources available that they used to. This is because more and more of our wealth is being concentrated in the top 1%. I don’t have anything against the wealthy but I am against the wealthy buying the politicians to make the rules that favor themselves over our country and the majority of America’s workers.

Such as in one paragraph you claim that while you work for unions making a decent wage, to provide for your family and even buy a home and in the next paragraph you complain you don’t have much money. Perhaps if you stayed in school and earned yourself a actual education by which you spent your time perfecting your skills and talents rather than standing around holding protest signs complaining about what is not given or handed to you and going on strikes and picket lines complaining what your not getting and instead being productive citizen and earning your “decent wage” rather than expecting it to be handed to you just because you protest that you deserve it.

      Though you claim to make a decent wage, then state you don’t have much money and complain to the Republican party that you still need a few things and expect us to provide them for you instead of providing it for yourself, such as your kids going to school. Though we have given you liberal Democrats full rein of the public school system in hopes it would satisfy your whining and let you control how a public educational system works, you have managed to fail at the educational level as you have failed in your financial level. For example, you have taken “G O D” out of our schools and promote promiscuity among our children by which are not of an age that they can provide for them self both mentally and financially the consequences of their actions and rather lay the burden on us to pay for their contraceptives and abortions and food stamps. Rather than teaching them abstinence, and the principle of “patience is a virtual”, you want to teach and even force them to explore not only their hetero but also homosexual tendencies in hopes to promote and expand your homosexual agendas. You have taken a once great educational system by which was once one of the greatest in the world where people from all over this planet was attracted and would come to seek a great education. However, now that you have forced your unions and special interest groups into the public schools, our worldwide rankings in English has dropped to 15th place, Science has dropped to 17th and math has dropped to 25th ranking in the world.

      Because you have spent more time brainwashing them to learn to protest and whine and complain to the point of even using violence to get what they want rather than to educate them and teach them to use their skills and talents to “earn” what they get and not expect it handed to them. In other words, personal responsibility has been removed from your vocabulary as well as many other words, perhaps this is why we are ranking 15th in English these days.

      Those old roads you spoke of, yes I drive on those same roads and also have notice them getting old and though I would rather spend our money to improve our roads. You want to send our money to Countries through out the world for which you think it is our lone purpose to “defend freedom” and police the world.       As far as abortions go, I’m not for them with the exception of if a woman is raped or if her pregnancy will in fact cause harm or death to her. Though most of you seeking abortions because the gender is not what you want or a child would hinder your partying and selfish intentions calling the child a “inconvenience”. However, these days abortion has become not only a question of morality but yes it has become a economic issue since your party is insisting that we pay for your incompetence, ignorance and consequences to your promiscuous immoral principles.

      As time has gone by and though I do not approve of abortions, I have realized that maybe abortions are not such a bad thing considering that the ones seeking abortions are from a plaque to this nation known as the “Democratic party” and perhaps if we let them abort their self into extinction and their extinction further promoted by the inability to procreate from their beloved homosexual society.         Killing!!! Jimmy Hoffa the highest paid teamster earns $294,000.00 a year a mere pittance compared to the CEO’S he negotiates with, no union leader is making a killing. Hoffa being an attorney could make a lot more practicing law than president of the union. Union wages according to the dept of labor whom tracks all wages reports that union members earn on average $800.00 per month more than non union workers which is almost $10,000.00 a year more. Could you save $800.00 a month?? Your post is nothing more that a lot of whining about nothing as most of what you speak is sadly devoid of any real facts and mostly BS. I know many union members whom own homes as large as yours, Also as a retired Union Member between my corporate pension negotiated for by my union is quite large and because of my higher wages over the highest 40 quarters my SS pension is much higher than non union because of that. My income not including anything besides my pension equals a bit more than my wages at the time I retired. How many can retire without a cut in pay, very few if any non union and not all union. I see union dues as an investment and I’m sure my return from those dues exceeded your personal savings. Why so many like yourself see dues as a negative when it produces a lot of positives and why those like you seem to hate the better lifestyles union members enjoy and see it as a negative. I see many of my friends my age today really struggling but they never had the financial benefits from being union, Also union members are not eligible for so many welfare programs that non union workers today have to have to survive. Earned income credit was started by President Ford,, greatly increased by President Reagan in 1986 and during the welfare reform done after 1994 when the nation voted in republican majorities in congress. They expanded them and added a bunch more welfare programs almost all for underpaid non union workers that few republicans complain about because they created them. Admit it, Republicans have created and expanded more welfare in this country than democrats. The solution is much more unions to return to living wages which would then make many non union workers no longer eligible for these welfare programs and automatically reduce our spending without government having to change any laws. If you took off your blinders and look at the whole picture you would see the whole picture AND REALITY.

Even at 1/2 million as you assert is but peanuts by comparison, most big corp heads get well over 5 million per years and even at this rate the union leaders paid at the wage you give means the union leader would take 10 years to make what the CEO makes in 1.         Thus demonstrating the foolish nature of union bosses. Instead of getting paid 5 million a year they CHOOOSE to get paid 500 thousand a year. The laws of economics are quite clear on this. Union boss value 500k (maybe since in many cases the end customer doesn’t get to choose). CEO value 5 million/year.

        Now that is out of the way lets look at the union members vs bosses (You know. the point wildfire was making rater than your irrelevant distraction)

        I would venture to guess that your knowledge of the fundamental nature of unions is a bit less then you imagine. Even though you said it yourself (“Unions by regulated law are very democratic”) you may be unaware of how democracy works. Should 50%+1 of the members decide to strike then 50%-1 are dictated to and HAVE to strike as well.

        This is totally ignoring another feature of Unions. The ability to force a company to force its employees to be in a union.

        To equate tyranny with better wages, better benefits and better working condition is an insane statement likes which I suppose should be expected from the likes of you. If you do not believe in democracy which what you clearly are saying, then why not go and live in N Korea and experience the alternative.. No one has to work in a union shop in this country they are free to seek employment in a place of their choice but what you are suggesting is that the minority shall rule, that is tyranny and that is what they have in N.. I know several people who were self employed for decades, scammed their taxes, didn’t pay their share, and now are bitching that the gov is screwing them because their retirement check is too small. I’m sure many in that city make several million a years and most well over 30 thousand. You completely mischaracterize the Teachers strike, certainly you know there are two parties to these negotiations and you automatically conclude that is was teachers fault when the issues still undecided when the a strike began were all legitimate issues and had nothing to do with financial issues This is true unless you are one of those that believe employees should have all issues of employment determined by the employer and then dictated to the employee by them this is synonymous with a master slave type interaction.       KG, it is good that you are able to support your family with the wages you earn as a union member. I have a couple of questions for you to consider and some thoughts about sustainability. Who do you have your retirement invested with? Do the union leaders invest your money or are you doing it on your own and how many times the past few years have you heard about the unions mishandling pension funds and the outright corruption in the union leadership? If the union leaders are administering your retirement, you can bet they are investing it in companies like Sachs, WalMart, oil companies, and many other companies that are part of Wall Street. Do you really think that union leaders care about you or do you think they are just out for themselves? If you live to be say 80, do you think that just your savings will last that long? Most people would have to say no. Where will your retirement funds then come from? Also, have you ever held a job that a poor man gave you? I thought not. You have to be pay for employees, but the unions have a strangle-hold on a lot of companies and they are not going to always be able to sustain paying wages, pensions, healthcare and other benefits.

      In Chicago the teachers union called for a strike because they wanted a 16 percent raise and did not want to be held accountable for their performance in the classroom. When was the last time you heard of any public employee getting that type of raise and not be held accountable for their performance? Chicago has one of the worst records for children’s reading performance. Teachers in Chicago already make on average over 70,000.00 per year while other professionals in Chicago make 30,000.00. So while they held the schools and city hostage, who benefited? It certainly was not the children or their parents who had to arrange and pay for childcare that they were not counting on. Just think about it. While there are a lot of people out there that would like to start their own company and hire employees, do you think they will do it if they are forced to provide healthcare, pay union wages, and higher taxes because they have income of more than $250k.

Union contacts have these methods defined in legal binding labor agreements but with no binding agreement then the company usually is free to make all these decisions without consulting with the employee. Corporations are at present experiencing record high profits and sustainability to pay is not an issue despite the fact you continually hear that rhetoric but it is not true Poor men are made from under paid employees of which most are not union members and this contributes very much to why those at the top have gotten so rich. That statement about poor men hiring is nothing but a smoke screen and you should know that.
        In the Chicago Teachers strike the issue was not wages as 16% had been agreed to before the strike, nor Was it about not wanting to be held accountable, it was really about the method of determining accountability and that is a legitimate issue. Your statement of Chicago Professionals only making $30,000.00 a year is stupid I fail to see that anyone can believe this BS of yours. I’m sure many in that city make several million a years and most well over 30 thousand. You completely mischaracterize the Teachers strike, certainly you know there are two parties to these negotiations and you automatically conclude that is was teachers fault when the issues still undecided when the a strike began were all legitimate issues and had nothing to do with financial issues This is true unless you are one of those that believe employees should have all issues of employment determined by the employer and then dictated to the employee by them this is synonymous with a master slave type interaction. Then there is those who believe in unions whom despise that type of employer/employee relationships. I can tell you having worked both ways you are respected if you are in a union and seldom respected today if not. Some hate unions for reasons I think they often do not understand themselves or what Unions are and do you certainly don’t.

      Why don’t you ask your dear leader why he fast tracked and gave special environmental exemptions to BP and the Deepwater Horizon then punished US compliant companies and gave Brazil 2 billion to drill after those exemptions resulted in the deadly Gulf blowout?
      Or why, after a court found Obama’s Indefinite Detention for US citizens unconstitutional, did his fight a rigorous battle to have it reinstated including filing an Emergency Stay to keep US citizens subject to indefinite detention?

      Why not put your country first instead of your own greed and phony self righteousness?
      We need all hands on deck, not those who sit on one hand with the other hand out. The Democrat way is work the system while others work. It hurts us all.

      Dear KG, I, too, was in the unions, one was a company union, so it really doesn’t count, but the others were more concerned about certain pockets and forsook the rank and file. One even fought with me when I filed a grievance, they did not want me to have the same protection the upper echelon had.
      I won in the President’s Grievance Committee, after threats and attempted coercion over most of one year.
      The Democrats left us when they chose Jingo Jimmy over Scoop Jackson,using the dirty tactic of impuning the man’s integrity four days before the New Hampshire primaries. It’s the same dirty tactic the Dem’s use today.
      To get into Obama’s presence, the cell phones are taken away. That’s because they don’t want any pictures like what they did to Romney. And don’t forget Bagdad Jimmy McDermot’s illegally passing on to the press an illegally tapped phone conversation which was then illegally put forth in the media. The press was told how bad it was, and Jimmy was fined; he has never paid the fine.
      Our president has increased the national debt by over $16 trillion in less than four years and has spent more time on the golf course than most pros. He and his family have taken more vacations than any other president and outspent all the others by a couple of million dollars…all of it ours.
      I am no fan of the Republicans, but they do have a tendency to take better care of our friends and keep our enemies at arms length. They also think that meeting with important people from other nations is more important than doing a personal worship service on the view.

      The liberal power elite are selfish, hypocritical, arrogant, self-righteous, and, worst of all, destructive of those around them. They are willing to saddle everyone else with rules and regulations that do not apply to them, and with higher taxes that they somehow escape paying. The Buffett Rule might sound like a great idea, but it would never apply to the Buffetts of this world. Or the Kerrys, Kennedys, or any other left-wing billionaire.

      Liberal do-gooders are always coming up with lovely schemes for redistributing other people’s money and managing other people’s lives. The problem is that all of these schemes do more harm than good. Welfare, which redistributes wealth to those who cannot work but also to those who avoid working or underreport income, is funded on the backs of those who actually do work. “Saving the planet” costs jobs but never actually saves anything. Killing fossil fuels increases energy costs and triggers inflation across the board. Yet the liberal elite blithely support every cause that comes along with no consideration of the cost to ordinary people. In doing so, they pad their already inflated sense of self-importance, and at no cost to themselves.

      Scratch the surface of the liberal elite, and you will find a monstrous contempt for those “beneath” them. Liberals like Barack Obama live and breathe in a realm of utter disdain for ordinary Americans, including congressmen who hail from what the president likes to call “Palookaville.” It is not just that they are out of touch; it is that they despise what is normal and decent. They would no more live in the heartland or send their kids to a public school than they would forego an exemption engineered solely to save them money — the same tax break for the rich that they publicly decry as soooo unfair. It’s no surprise that several prominent liberal Democrats made their fortunes as slum lords and ambulance-chasers. Others just married their money. – Jeffrey Folks

      Worried about your roads and infrastructure? Then tell your Democrat friends that they shouldn’t have taken the fuel taxes from the fund for the highways and infrastructure and put them into the General Fund that they use to put together social and vote-buying programs. Yes, KG, your buddies stole the fuel taxes to make sure they stayed in office – then blame the Republicans for bad roads!
