All You’ve Been Told About The Flu Is A Lie

All You’ve Been Told About The Flu Is A Lie
PHOTOS.COM

Winter is approaching, and with it another flu season and a new round of propaganda about the dire consequences of “catching” the flu.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) uses a manufactured number of 36,000 annual deaths from seasonal flu in order to scare the masses into accepting a harmful chemical cocktail, all to the benefit of Big Pharma and the medical community. But all you’ve been told about flu deaths and the flu vaccines — in fact, about vaccines in general — is a lie.

In December 2005, Peter Doshi published a report in the British Medical Journal (online) stating that “U.S. data on influenza deaths are a mess.” His research indicated the CDC uses the terms “flu death” and “flu associated death” interchangeably and that there were significant statistical incompatibilities between official estimates and national vital statistics data.

In fact, the CDC’s numbers are a combination of influenza and pneumonia deaths. But as David Rosenthal, director of Harvard University Health Services, said: “People don’t necessarily die, per se, of the [flu] virus—the viraemia. What they die of is a secondary pneumonia. So many of these pneumonias are not viral pneumonias but secondary [pneumonias].”

What Doshi found was that in 2001, influenza and pneumonia caused 62,034 deaths. Of those, 61,777 were attributed to pneumonia; only 257 were attributed to the flu. But in the 257 cases blamed on the flu, the flu virus was identified in only 18.

Doshi writes: “Between 1979 and 2001 [CDC] data show an average of 1,248 [flu] deaths per year (range 257 to 3,006).” This obviously is far less than the 36,000 figure used to frighten people into rushing to get a vaccination.

For a better idea of how vaccine-pushing researchers create numbers out of thin air, consider the recent announcement by an international team of researchers regarding deaths from the swine flu pandemic-that-wasn’t in 2009. According to the World Health Organization, 18,500 people died worldwide as a result of swine flu. That’s far short of the hundreds of thousands of deaths WHO warned about as the pandemic-that-wasn’t first began.

The researchers published a study in the Lancet Infectious Diseases journal claiming an estimated 284,500 to 575,400 actually died of the disease. It provided no autopsy data for its claim, nor did it explain how family members of those 265,500 to 526,400 people failed to miss them for three whole years or what happened to all the bodies.

In addition to the inflated figures about the dangers of seasonal flu, the CDC also fails to mention that seasonal flu vaccines are ineffective 99 percent of the time. Two years ago, I wrote about a report by the independent research firm The Cochrane Library (TCL) that blew a big hole in the CDC/Big Pharma vaccine lie. Now, The Lancet has published a report that echoes TCL’s report.

It showed that 2.7 percent of 13,000 unvaccinated adults caught the flu virus, while 1.2 percent of 13,000 vaccinated adults caught the virus. That means that the vaccine prevented only 1.5 of every 100 adults from getting sick.

Researchers also found that:

  • The vaccine had no effect on hospital admissions or complication rates.
  • Vaccine use did not affect the number of people hospitalized or working days lost.
  • Reliable evidence on vaccine efficacy is thin, but there is evidence of widespread manipulation of conclusions (in fact, TCL’s report is based mostly on pharmaceutical company-sponsored research that, when analyzed, still showed the vaccines didn’t work as claimed).
  • Vaccines do not affect the transmission of disease, even though their stated purpose is to reduce transmission of disease.
  • In average conditions (which means a partially matching vaccine) and because the WHO has to guess which strain of flu will be most prevalent in the coming year, 100 people must be vaccinated to prevent one set of flu symptoms.

The CDC — as well as doctors and pharmacies, which get kickbacks on the vaccines and drugs they administer — also fails to divulge what harmful additives are found in vaccines and the side effects that can result.

Flu vaccines contain aluminum, formaldehyde and thimerosal. Side effects of the vaccines include narcolepsy, Guillain-Barre Syndrome and autism, plus a worsening of the flu’s affects. British Columbia Centre for Disease Control researcher Dr. Danuta Skowronski conducted a trial study with 32 ferrets that showed that the symptoms in vaccinated animals were worse than those in unvaccinated animals.

“The findings were consistent with the increased risk that we saw in the human studies,” Skowronski said.

Aluminum is added to vaccines to act as an immune adjuvant, which enhances the immune response — and thus boosts the immune system — or to make it react as intensely as possible for as long as possible. But aluminum has been linked to Parkinson’s disease, ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease) and Alzheimer’s disease. Researchers have also found that vaccinations with aluminum-containing adjuvants could trigger the cascade of immunological events associated with autoimmune conditions, including chronic fatigue syndrome and macrophagic myofasciitis, a condition that resembles multiple sclerosis.

Formaldehyde is used to kill and preserve bacterial toxins and make viruses unable to replicate or reproduce themselves. It is listed as a carcinogen by government scientists and warnings are issued about formaldehyde exposure from fumes emanating from plywood and particle board and for workers exposed to it in funeral homes and hair salons. But formaldehyde and its chemical kin, formalin, is present in most vaccines.

Thimerosal is a preservative that allows vaccine makers to distribute their vaccines in multi-dose vials. Thimerosal contains 49.6 percent mercury by weight. But mercury is classified as a hazardous material that could cause death if swallowed, inhaled or absorbed through the skin. Mercury tends to accumulate in the brain; and it has been linked to cardiovascular disease, autism, seizures, mental retardation, hyperactivity, dyslexia and other nervous-system disorders.

And while doctors readily try to force — or at least coerce — vaccinations on their patients, half of them reject vaccinations for themselves because of concerns the vaccines may harm their health.

Of course, Big Pharma no longer has to concern itself about the health effects of its vaccines. Lawmakers have exempted them from liability, and the U.S. Supreme Court has ruled the laws shield vaccine makers from product-liability lawsuits that are filed in State courts and seek damages for injuries or death attributed to vaccines.

There is a much safer way to keep yourself disease-free. Take vitamin D3 (I take 30,000 IU daily and give my wife 20,000 IU) daily. It is a potent neuroregulatory steroidal hormone that influences nearly 3,000 of our 25,000 genes.

Besides, the germ theory of disease — that we “catch” the flu and other diseases by being exposed to people who are “contagious” — is a foolish hoax created by Louis Pasteur. Disease comes from within the body when it is overly fatigued with excess stress, toxins and malnutrition.

I AM DEFINITELY NOT “Bob Livingston’s” DEFENDER; BUT, HE HAS BEEN PLACED UNDER ATTACK IN THIS THREAD AS BEING SOME TYPE OF “QUACK.”

ACCORDING TO HIS “BIO,” “Mr. Livingston” HAS BEEN WRITING ON HEALTH ISSUES FOR DECADES. TO BE FRANK, “Mr. Livingston” HAS WRITTEN SOME HEALTH ARTICLES I CONSIDER TO BE SILLY AND UNREALISTIC LIKE, “THE POWERS OF GREEN TEA;” BUT, IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF Personal Libertarians WHO CARE ABOUT HEALTH ISSUES TO RESEARCH THIS TYPE OF INFORMATION.

WHETHER OR NOT “Mr. Livingston” KNOWS WHAT HE IS TALKING ABOUT, I RESPECT HIS DEDICATION TO HEALTH ISSUES.

    • Karolyn

Chris – Don’t knock ANYTHING (including green tea) until you’ve done your research or have tried it. The world is full of miracles; and we only know of a few. They are still discovering botanical cures in the rainforest. Those cures our ancestors used absolutely do have merit. Otherwise, why would they have used them?

      • DaveH

I have cured or alleviated several health problems with various supplements including Arthritis, Internal Bleeding, and CFIDS.
Doctors have caused my family more problems than cures over my lifetime.

      • CHRISTOPHER ALLEN HORTON

        “Karolyn,”

MA’AM, IN PRINCIPLE, I AGREE WITH YOUR COMMENTS. BUT, PEOPLE LIVE IN FEAR ABOUT THEIR HEALTH. WHETHER OR NOT GREEN TEA IS GOOD FOR YOU, I DO NOT KNOW. WHEN A STRANGER TELLS SOMEONE TO DRINK GREEN TEA, THAT PERSON IS SKEPTICAL.

I was looking at a 30-yr career in the Air Force but called it quits after 20 because of the vaccine programs. I didn’t like the fact that we didn’t have a choice over whether or not we got the flu vaccine. Then they came out with the Anthrax vaccine which was also mandatory. I got the first 3 (of six) injections while in Saudi. My body has been messed up ever since and getting worse. I suddenly got allergies galore when I never had any before, my joints and muscles hurt so bad I found I couldn’t run anymore and have had two knee surgeries for torn meniscuses (the first right after I returned from Saudi), I’ve broken my wrist, fractured my elbow, and torn ligaments throughout my body since I returned. I never had muscle-skeletal-joint problems prior to the vaccine. Even tho all the military doctors said the vaccine is perfectly safe, when I made mention of all my problems starting right after I got the vaccine to my civilian doctor after I retired, she said she didn’t trust that vaccine any further than she could see the label clear enough to read it. She did research on it and recognized the ingredient used as a preservative as something her uncle used in his profession. He was a cement contractor and when she asked him what he used it for, he said “to dissolve concrete.” And people wonder why so many service members have been complaining about joint and muscle aches/pains/problems ever since getting this vaccine. I will no longer trust the government or any corporation associated with it ever again. I have not had a flu vaccine now in three years and have yet to get the flu. I just take a multivitamin along with an Advil Cold and Sinus (for my sinus issues that have developed since returning from Saudi) each day and then an “A” and an “E” in the evening before bed. All I can say is….”Just wait. The whole Anthrax vaccine program is going to turn out to be another Agent Orange fiasco in another 20 yrs or so.”

My best friend always got the flu shot every year. Now she is a Democrat. I think they put mind control stuff in it.

    • Robert Smith

Mitt was going down the road in his limo when he saw a little girl selling kittens. They were so young they hadn’t opened their eyes yet.

Mitt asked the enterprising girl what the kittens were and she said, “Republican.”

Mitt thought that was great and left. He thought about it and went back the next day with a camera crew.

He got to the key question he thought would be a plus for his presidential bid and asked, “And what are your kittens?”

      The little girl said, “Democrats.”

      Mitt asked, “What’s changed?”

The little girl responded, “They opened their eyes.”

RS, this was a republican clip before it became a liberal one and the name in the 1st line was oblamo, not Mitt. Do you libs ever come up with anything on your own or do you always insist on stealing from others and changing it to suit you.

      • DaveH

We all know the answer to that, Wendell — Stealing.

Recently, while I was working in the flower beds in the front yard,

my neighbors stopped to chat as they returned home from walking their dog.

During our friendly conversation, I asked their little girl what she wanted

to be when she grows up. She said she wanted to be President some day.

Both of her parents, liberal Democrats, were standing there, so I asked her,

“If you were President what would be the first thing you would do?”

She replied…”I’d give food and houses to all the homeless people.”

        Her parents beamed with pride!

“Wow…what a worthy goal!” I said. “But you don’t have to wait until

you’re President to do that!” I told her. “What do you mean?” she replied.

So I told her, “You can come over to my house and mow the lawn, pull weeds,

and trim my hedge and I’ll pay you $50.

Then you can go over to the grocery store where the homeless guy hangs out

and give him the $50 to use toward food and a new house.”

She thought that over for a few seconds, then she looked me straight in the

eye and asked, “Why doesn’t the homeless guy come over and do the work,

and you can just pay him the $50?”

        I said,

“Welcome to the Republican Party kid.”

Her parents aren’t speaking to me anymore.

maybe we should try going back to simple basics and SKIP the “artificial” preventatives… i read in a “homesteading” type magazine that long ago folks used to set ONIONS out in their homes to “suck up” bacteria in the room…. i TRIED this (amazing) trick and have NOT even had a cold for pushing TWO YEARS!!!! just set an onion or two out in a (decorative) bowl and leave them alone! replace after a month or three… FEEL the onion – if it feels “mushy” – replace it. since i have sinus problems and had pneumonia (winter ’08/’09) – i put the onions on MY end of the sofa, on MY side of the bed on night table. they (onions) are in a wire mesh type hanging basket in the kitchen… this “thingy” REALLY has worked for me. in addition – the article said that if you ARE SICK – to take an onion – cut off the top AND the bottom – drop it in a (mason?) jar and set the jar beside the sick person at night. check out the onion in the am – and supposedly – you’ll be able to SEE the black bacteria the onion “soaked up” during the night…. said the cold would pass quicker by doing this. but i haven’t been sick to be able to TRY this!

I have learned that if the government tells us it is safe, they are actually saying, go ahead take the shot, it may or may not kill you and you do it at your own risk. Less Government, More Life.

If the vaccines actually do contain thimerosal, then they should be yanked immediately from the market. Does anyone not remember the cases where people’s eyes were being irreparably damaged because contact lens solutions contained it…and it’s being INJECTED directly into our bloodstream??

    • http://boblivingstonpl.wordpress.com Bob Livingston

      Dear Vonov,

You write: “If the vaccines actually do contain thimerosal, then they should be yanked immediately from the market.” From the CDC’s own website: http://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/vac-gen/additives.htm

Just give me my flu shot – and you stay home and make your family sick. Experience is far better than relying on selected use of facts to make a case.

    • DaveH

Why should we have to stay home, Robert? If you’ve been vaccinated, you’re “safe”, right?
Meanwhile we will be waiting breathlessly for you to supply the experiential facts which you speak of.

  • Louis Lemieux

I will be getting my flu shot soon this year as I have been doing for the past several years. It just so happens that I trust the general wisdom of those in the medical field and of the scientists who expound on the subject. This does not necessarily mean I will be taking the flu shot every year. I will stay informed the best I can.

    • DaveH

That should be your choice, Louis. And if we don’t want to vaccinate, that is Our choice. So please don’t vote for tyrannical Politicians (most of them are) who don’t acknowledge that Free Choice.

      • Jess

Wow! did you get vaccinated against your will? They didn’t start doing that here yet. But I better get my self defenses ready just in case they come to me with a needle.

      • Nadzieja Batki

Jess, pay attention. Schools and Colleges have already mandated vaccinations. No vaccinations no school time. But then come the consequences of parents being subjected to legal difficulties of supposed truancy.

      • DaveH

        Many times, Jess. Next question?

  • Art LeBeau

I am 78 and have never taken a flu shot and never will. I used to have allergies and colds etc. However when I feel something coming on I take 1000mg of Vit C (w/rose hips)every hour (about 10-12 tablets a day) and haven’t had a cold or flu in over 35 yrs. When I studied the attributes of Vit “C” and used it – Viola! I have told many about this
and it HAS worked for them as well. Just don’t take all at once or
    you’ll be on the throne.

This essay is irresponsible and the author should be held liable for any deaths which ensue because of his gullible readers believing it.

Very little sourcing and more holes than Swiss cheese. “The numbers are wrong because they show more people dying of secondary (e.g. Bacterial) pneumonia than of influenza”? How the hell do you think they GOT that infection? That’s akin to saying no one dies from cancer because their death certificates all say cause of death: cardiac arrest! (true story)

Yes, the autism item has been debunked fairly recently. Look it up. Can’t entirely recall but seem to remember that the original study may have been fraudulent.

Disease comes from within? Really. Seriously. So all of the electron microscope stills and video I’ve seen from a variety of sources showing viruses attaching themselves to healthy cells and replicating until the body figures out what’s going on and sends antibodies to fight…all the product of Hollywood CG?

With an undoubtedly high percentage of elderly readers, you should be ashamed to have even allowed this on your site. You may be responsible for these ill-informed folks getting sick needlessly, all so you can sell your vitamins.

It’s sad when someone confounds lying with mistaken.

To take 30,000 or 20,000 IU daily of vitamin D3 can be very dangerous, especially on the long term. http://www.livestrong.com/article/425647-the-effects-of-a-vitamin-d3-overdose/

      • twizzler

Your article says no more than 100mcg/day (4,000IU) for the D3 dosage. My pill is 50,000IU directly from the doctor. I take 10,000IU/day on my own (not with the big one) for the last three years and after the first day stopped taking all my allergy medicine, wake up breathing free and have not had a cold or the flu since then.

It does not matter how much D3 you take per day, what matters is your blood serum level. You must get your blood tested for proper levels and it took months to get my level up to the bottom of the range.

Do you know what everything in my post and almost every bit of the article and thread is? Anecdotal. Nothing more, nothing less.

When I first joined the military, they used the live virus in the vaccine, man did we det sick. They used to have bottles of asprin at the injection line and enchouraged you to take atleast 12 that day to ease the affects. After a few times of that, I stopped taking them. Now they offer the nose spray verses the shot, but that to is a form of the live virus.

  • T. Jefferson

I retired out of the military in 94. I refused the shot the last year and was almost court martialed. I haven’t had a flu symptom in over 18 years. I refuse to allow my children to receive vaccines with these ingredients in them. None of these dangerous ingredients were in vaccines when I was a child.

While the efficacy and danger of the flu vacine may be debated, vacination had prevented numerous cases of poliol, dyphteria, whoping caught, tuberculosis, chicken pox and others. Some of those diseases are on rise, because many stupid Americans refuse to he their cildren vacinated agaisnt those common diseases.

Thus this article should not disparage ALL vactinations, since more of them DO prevent death and illnesses from diseases. Whitle it is debatable if the flu vacines prevent all sorts of flu, it is ridiculous to claim that there is a conspiracy of CDC to force flu vacines on American population just to help pharmaceutical companies.

Bob, am so very glad you were not around when polio was prevalent. It was quite common for fifteen or twenty kids to come down with polio, and half of those have paralysis in one or more limbs. Of the other half, at least two of them would be in an iron lung so they could breath, and two more would die. If it was a good year, four of the twenty would come through relatively unscathed. I have seen what the polio vaccine has accomplished, and it has done a lot more to help than you appear to be able to see. The same can be said for smallpox, diphtheria, and whooping cough. People are starting to see what skipping vaccines does with whooping cough, as it is coming back in areas where the parents think just like you, no vaccine is better than any vaccine.

      • http://boblivingstonpl.wordpress.com Bob Livingston

        Dear Chester,

You write: “Bob, am so very glad you were not around when polio was prevalent.” What makes you think I wasn’t?

You write: ” was quite common for fifteen or twenty kids to come down with polio, and half of those have paralysis in one or more limbs. Of the other half, at least two of them would be in an iron lung so they could breath, and two more would die. If it was a good year, four of the twenty would come through relatively unscathed.” You have been lied to:

“But already before Salk developed his vaccine, polio had been constantly regressing; the 39 cases out of every 100,000 inhabitants registered in 1942 had gradually diminished from year to year until they were reduced to only 15 cases in 1952… according to M. Beddow Baylay, the English surgeon and medical historian.” (Slaughter of the Innocent, Hans Reusch, Civitas Publish ers, Switzerland, and Swain, New York, 1983)

“So far it is hardly possible to gain insight into the extent of the immunization catastrophe of 1955 in the United States. It may be considered certain that the officially ascertained 200 cases (of polio) which were caused directly or indirectly by the (polio) vaccination constitute minimum figures… It can hardly be estimated how many of the 1359 (polio) cases among vaccinated persons must be regarded as failures of the vaccine and how many of them were infected by the vaccine. A careful study of the epidemiologic course of polio in the United States yields indications of grave significance. In numerous states of the U.S.A., typical early epidemics developed with the immunizations in the spring of 1955… The vaccination incidents of the year 1955 cannot be exclusively traced back to the failure of one manufacturing firm.” (Dr. Herbert Ratner, Child and Family, 1980, vol. 19, no. 4, “Story of the Salk Vaccine,” Part 2)

“Suffice it to say that most of the large (polio) epidemics that have occurred in this country since the introduction of the Salk vaccine have followed the wide-scale use of the vaccine and have been characterized by an uncommon early seasonal onset. To name a few, there is the Massachusetts epidemic of 1955; the Chicago epidemic of 1956; and the Des Moines epidemic of 1959.” (Dr. Herbert Ratner, Child and Family, 1980 vol. 19, no. 4)

“The live (Sabin) poliovirus vaccine has been the predominant cause of domestically arising cases of paralytic poliomyelitis in the United States since 1972. To avoid the occurrence of such cases, it would be necessary to discontinue the routine use of live poliovirus vaccine.” (Jonas Salk, Science, March 4, 1977, p. 845)”

Ok, I work in vaccines. I have worked in independent research mush of my life. But in the past 5 yrs moved to a vaccine manufacturer. So we will clarify some things here. I am not paid to state this, I know what goes into vaccines we manufacture, I help design some of the Quality tests for safety and efficacy.

        Facts
        1) Not all flu vaccines contain aluminum, thimerosal, or formaldehyde. Some my contain one or more of these, but it is not included in all, so read the package inserts or find out for yourself.

        2) You get your panties in a wad over some of these chemicals being present, but do you have a clue as to the actual amount present, and then actual amount present in other things you may ingest. Trust me the vaccines are the least of your worries if this is your gripe.

        3) epidemiology of autoimmune disorder is actually higher in non vaccinated, statistically significant, but higher. Any strong immune response can trigger a PREDISPOSED person, and vaccines are designed to illicit a strong immune response.

        4) You use statistics incorrectly. Whether you are incompetent or worse did it purposefully to LIE to your audience. I don’t know buy you did. You state 2.7% of unvaccinated showed symptoms, while 1.2% of vaccinated showed symptoms. That is over a 50% decrease in incidence. I think you need to take a course in data interpretation.

        5) I really don’t have time for anymore, but please don’t try to publish like an expert or like you have a clue when it is obvious you don’t. I have only followed some of you stories but will also no longer be subscribed to you. If you are this bad with this, why should I trust anything else you report.

      • Jeff

        Simon:

If you’re looking for irresponsibility in journalism, you’ve hit the motherload. I do believe in science and will give the benefit of the doubt to scientists, but even I get really skeptical about “official” studies that sometimes deny what everyone knows will eventually be common knowledge. The agent orange studies immediately come to mind. It’s frustrating when you know there’s a causal connection, but some guy in a lab coat says “no.”

As for the links between vaccinations and autism, I accept that vaccinations are important and that their utility outweighs the apparent risks. I find it hard to believe the anecdotal reports are mere coincidences. But, I would never get vaccinations in shotgun form. One at a time is just fine. My son’s pediatrician feels the same way.

      • Jeff

        Simon:

Don’t mind DaveH. He thinks you’re after his MONEY. Plus, you might even believe in evolution and global warming.

      • DaveH

So you work in the industry, Simon, and you expect us to believe you’re unbiased?

Simon says — “You state 2.7% of unvaccinated showed symptoms, while 1.2% of vaccinated showed symptoms. That is over a 50% decrease in incidence. I think you need to take a course in data interpretation”.
Actually a variation of 1.5% would usually be considered to be statistically insignificant, Simon.
Figures don’t lie, but liars can figure.

Simon says — “You get your panties in a wad over some of these chemicals being present, but do you have a clue as to the actual amount present, and then actual amount present in other things you may ingest”.
So we should poison ourselves just because there are poisons that we aren’t aware of in other substances? Please enlighten us, Simon. Tell us about these other substances we should avoid and provide references please, like Bob did.

Simon says — “epidemiology of autoimmune disorder is actually higher in non vaccinated, statistically significant, but higher”.
I’m assuming you meant “statistically insignificant”, but either way how about some references, Simon? You surely don’t expect us just to take your word for it?

Simon says — “If you are this bad with this, why should I trust anything else you report”.
I have seen no proof of your assertions, Simon, so why should we trust any of your conjecture?

Gea says — “Some of those diseases are on rise, because many stupid Americans refuse to he their cildren vacinated agaisnt those common diseases”.
Do you have any references to back up your conjecture, Gea?
If the vaccinations are effective, then how are the unvaccinated people any danger to the vaccinated people? Why is it any of your business if some people choose not to vaccinate themselves?

Gea says — “it is ridiculous to claim that there is a conspiracy of CDC to force flu vacines on American population just to help pharmaceutical companies”.
Government has worked hand in hand with Crony Capitalists throughout history, GEA. What makes you think vaccinations would be any different?
Please read this book and start your awakening:

    • RevNowWhileWeCan

      Gea,
A lot of these diseases are on the rise BECAUSE of some vaccinations and their mutations. I know there is a case with the whooping cough where they had to recall the vaccine because of “a bad batch”. They were having people get vaccinations for the vaccinations! I’ll try and find the link for you but here is one that shows polio is on the rise. Not because of polio but because of the vaccinations. They ARE poisons.

I have never taken a flu shot and I am approaching 60. However, I know a lot of people that takes them yearly and is sick during ” flu season” . I Beleive in taken care of yourself and eating right but I do not buy in to the hysteria of the flu thing.

    • moonbeam

Same here, Steve. I have never had a flu shot and I don’t get the flu. The BEST way is to stay away from sick people and keep hands washed and AWAY from your face.
Drink lots of orange juice for the vitamin C or get it from the sun. The body is incapable of manufacturing its own vitamin C so we must get it from the foods we eat or sunshine.

If it is one thing I hate is when people feel they need to invade your personal space to talk to you. I can’t stand it and immediately step back when people get too close. I knew someone like that. She would cough all over the freaking place then get in your face to talk to you. Drove me insane. Water droplet nuclei is how the virus enters your system, usually via the mouth or nose.

Water droplet nuclei occurs when people speak, talk, cough or sneeze. The virus can live on fomites for hours. A fomite is any surface such as a counter top or phone. Come in contact with a fomite laden with germs and viruses, then placing your hands on your face, you have just inoculated yourself with whatever germ was there. It is also how TB is spread.

A closed in space, such as planes, trains, cars and buses with a bunch of people is not a good idea during flu season.

OH! And cover your mouth when coughing or sneezing. Sneeze and cough into the crook of your arm. And the ignoramouses who like to spit on the sidewalk (men mostly), stop it! It is a disgustingly nasty habit. If you can’t swallow your own saliva….okay I’m getting nauseous.

The only time I ever recieved a Flu Vaccine is in the military, after that, I became ill. Once out of the military, the vaccine’s ended, and after That, I probably came down with the flu twice that I can recall. That has been 30 years since the last flu bug I recall. To shorten up this comment, I must say that I never fell for the vaccine scare. Now, in saying that, I have had a few colds in my life time.

The Poorest of all are the misinformed. And , with the rampant manipulation of fact by media and manufacturer, this segment of society is extremely large – just look to the effect of the thirty second political ad. Mr. Livingston’s article only scratches the surface of the ugliness involved with the American system of medicine. When one considers the permissiveness allowed to big pharma in the exclusion of alternatives, the outright falsification of R&D studies, and the collusion with crony government regulators in regards to the recent socialization enactments, he can start to put the pieces together.
Toss in the fact that MDs were involved with the torture of POWs and went undisciplined by the AMA and we can conclude a total trashing of the Hippocratic oath.

  • KG

Did you know that there is a deadly substance in your home?
The government lets children play in it, and yet it kills thousands of people every year?
In fact, there are NO GOVERNMENT rules preventing people from having it or giving it to children.

Its scientific name is Hydrogen Dioxide.

    Also named “water.”

Those people who don’t believe in germ “theory”, visit a public clinic near you and breathe deeply. Or, better yet, find a homeless person who is coughing heavily and just “hang” with him for a while. Louis Pasture was trying to prove a basic question of science at the time. People then thought there were no such things a “germs”, or micro sized living things in the air. What he really proved though was the fact that “Life only begets life.” In other words, he proved these living things didn’t just “spontaneously” arose – like snakes from piles of sticks or rats from piles of rags. So, to deny “germ theory” is to deny the fact that life arises out of life.

And if you believe that, you cannot be a christian, because then the door would be open for life to arise from non-living material.

Oh, and copper bracelets wont keep you anymore healthy than hanging garlic from your window.

Some of you guys are really “whacky!”

    • CHRISTOPHER ALLEN HORTON

      “KG,”

THAT IS PURE PARANOIA. HUMANS CAN NOT STOP DRINKING WATER. SO, YOUR POINT IS RADICAL AND USELESS.

    • twizzler

If you are to try and be cute make sure you get it straight when you do. Water IS NOT Hydrogen Dioxide.

      • moonbeam

Correct! Water is H2O. One atom of hydrogen and two atoms of oxygen. And we humans are carbon based.

      • KG

Did you find that Homeless person to “hang” with yet? “…cough, cough.”

    • Karolyn

Nothing wacky about it KG. Some of us choose to be enlightened about health matters. I’ve posted this before – I have hepatitis c and despite the pleadings of my doctors, chose not to do chemo because chemo would have no doubt ruined my health. Instead, I chose to take care of my body; and as a result am very healthy and only go to the doctor for emergencies. My death will not be caused by hcv. Big Pharma is not in business to cure people.

      • RevNowWhileWeCan

        Karolyn,
That’s awesome. I must give you credit for your belief system. A lot of people are scared to go against “doctor’s orders” for obvious reasons. When and if you can seek out answers to healthcare issues that goes against traditional treatments is always a good thing. I would say that you must also believe in “natural cures” for them to be effective. I think that people who have doubts about what the mainstream calls “pseudo medicines” should do extensive research then make an honest choice and try and see it through.

      • DaveH
      • DaveH
    • DaveH

      It’s Dihydrogen Monoxide, KG.
If you can’t get that straight, how do you expect us to put credence in anything else you say?

      • Mutant

I have also seen water described as “hydrogen hydroxide”.

    • JustThinkin

KG & moonbeam – um I don’t mean to blow your minds here but Hydrogen Dioxide is H02, one hydrogen and 2 oxygen. HO2 is a derivative of deuterium or heavy water and does not exist without some very serious atomic/molecular manipulation.
Water, Ph7-, pure water, is H2O, or 2 hydrogen and 1 oxygen.
If you know of someone who actually has some hydrogen dioxide in their home, please contact me immediately. Also you may wish to contact a RAD/HAZMAT team to come clean it up.

      • KG

The point I was trying to make is you can make anything sound “scary.” Like the multitude of Emails I’ve gotten since I joined Mr. Liverstons web page.

“America is about to go under!”
“Protect your assets by using this ‘secret’ way to buy Gold.”
“…Patriot discovers way to steal electricity!”
“…become a citizen of a foreign nation WHILE YOU STILL CAN!”

Stop being “scared” by all of this “Bravo Sierra”
“The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.” F.D.Roosevelt
“When people are scared, they can do some irrational things.” Carl Sagan
“When they fear ya, you got the Power.” Tony Montanya

  • Jamie Cameron

My Best friend was 54 a English Lit.Collage Prof. with 2BA,and a 1MFA degrees He chose to get a flu shot asked if i wanted to get one as well ,I told him about the Fatal effects before he drove to get it,He died 9months later of Pneumonia,Conjestive heart, even his lost his mind as well He could not write a sentence. meaning big pharma killed him and got away with it.RIP Edward .

    • nc

Jamie, where are John Edwards and the other excellant trial lawyers when you need them? Bet your butt that if big pharma was at fault they would have made them pay for their mistakes! We have to pay for ours so why should they not pay! Doctors included!

      • Richard Pawley

Congress passed a law (in 1976 I believe) that exempts them from liability if their vaccines are no good, and that is why you are somewhat on your own when it comes to medicine in this country. Doctors and scientists cannot even publicly oppose things they know to be bad or they can lose their tenure or their licenses. I have friends and relatives who have been “killed” by their doctors who were either mistaken or incompetent and some who were ‘surprised’ and saddened by what happened to one. They too (in some instances) are victims of the system.

      • CHRISTOPHER ALLEN HORTON

        “Richard Pawley,”

THE PROBLEM IS, DOCTORS ARE TRAINED TO HEAL PATIENTS TO THE BEST OF THEIR ABILITY; BUT, THEY ARE NOT TRAINED IN “REALISTIC” COMPASSION – NOR, CAN THIS “COMPASSION” BE EVALUATED AND MONITORED.

AS A NEGRO, I KNOW SOME YOUNG PEOPLE WHO SAID – BACK IN HIGH SCHOOL – “I want to be a doctor because I want to help people.” BECAUSE THESE YOUNG NEGROES MADE FANTASTIC GRADES IN SCIENCE AND MATHEMATICS, THEY RECEIVED SCHOLARSHIPS AND Pell Grants FOR UNDERGRADUATE SCHOOL. ADDITIONAL FINANCIAL AID WAS OBTAINED FOR MEDICAL SCHOOL. DURING THIS PERIOD, IT SEEMED EMPHASIS WAS PLACED ON “COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT.” YOUNG-NEGRO-MEDICAL STUDENTS JOINED ORGANIZATIONS LIKE, “Bridge Builders,” TO PROVE THEY “CARED” ABOUT THEIR COMMUNITY. BUT, IN REALITY, THIS “COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT” ONLY “SCHOOLED” THEM ON HOW TO JOIN A HIGHER-SOCIAL CLASS. NOW, THESE YOUNG-NEGRO PHYSICIANS LIVE IN “WELL-MANICURED” NEIGHBORHOODS AND ARE DOING EVERYTHING POSSIBLE TO “KEEP THEIR NOSES CLEAN.”

MY POINT IS, “Mr. Pawley,” FEELINGS OF “COMMUNITY” CAN NOT BE UTILIZED BY PHYSICIANS, AS “COMPASSION” FOR PATIENTS. PHYSICIANS WHO ARE “TRULY” COMPASSIONATE WILL ENSURE THEIR INTERNAL VALUES ARE EXECUTED WHEN THEY COME IN PHYSICAL CONTACT – MEDICALLY – WITH PATIENTS.

Haven’t taken a flu shot in years and haven’t had the flu since. Used to always come down with it after getting a flu shot. If you are convinced that the vaccines are good for you, go right ahead, have at it. If you’ve come to your senses – welcome home to the land of the free!! :)

    • JC

I have never once had a flu shot. And I haven’t had the flu in probably 13 years.

      • Horace

I’ve never had a flu shot, will never take a flu shot & have never had the flu & I am 67 years of age. I go into places where people are extremely sick with it & I never get it. To stay perfectly well all the time, you might consider Young Living Pure Essential Oils. They do the trick.

      • Jeff

Dumb luck doesn’t hurt either. Some people smoke 3 packs a day and drink a quart of whiskey every day and live to be 90, too.

      • JC

Jeff, it’s actually funny that you say that. I smoke about a half pack a day, but I don’t drink.
My Doctor asked me how I was doing and I said great, I never get sick. He said that’s because I smoke…apparently my immune system is kicked into overdrive all the time.
This did not give me any incentive to quit! ;-)

    • Chester

Well, someone is wrong here, and my vote for that award goes to Mr. Livingston. Once in a while he gets lucky and manages to get all his ducks in a row, but missed on this one by not merely a mile, but more like a hundred miles. According to the statics he uses, I should be dead and buried by now, considering the life I have lived, but a flu shot every year for the last twenty has done me no harm, and from what I have seen going on among those who didn’t take the shot, it has done me a world of good, No flu, no problems other than once in a while a sore arm after getting the shot, and NO pneumonia of any sort. For sure I spent fifteen of those years in places where if anything went around, everyone was exposed to it.

      • Karolyn

Chester – Of course, not everyone is the same. Some have genetic predispositions to certain diseases. However, why put even more chemicals into the body? We get enough from the air and the crap in our foods. Why are so many more kids sick with things nobody got when we were kids? It’s all a big scam! Illness pays big-time. Even the recent report that organic food is no better than regular. The report was created by people beholden to Big Business, like the almighty Monsanto. BTW – Today is anti-Monsanto day!

      • DaveH

Chester I’ve rarely seen you get your ducks in a row, so why should anybody listen to you?
Chester says — “a flu shot every year for the last twenty has done me no harm, and from what I have seen going on among those who didn’t take the shot, it has done me a world of good, No flu, no problems other than once in a while a sore arm after getting the shot, and NO pneumonia of any sort”.
I’ve had the opposite experience. I’ve never had a flu shot, and haven’t had the flu in 15 years. Does that very small sample size of either one of us prove anything? Of course not.

    • LC

Received vaccines as a child, not sure about requirement then or if I was kept up to date, however, never as an adult. Have only had the flu twice in thirty years.

  • CHRISTOPHER ALLEN HORTON

THIS IS A “rich folks’ ” ARTICLE. POOR PEOPLE ARE AT THE TOTAL MERCY OF DOCTORS AND HOSPITALS. IF SOMETHING NEEDS “CUTTING-OUT” OR “CUT-OFF,” THEN, “THERE YOU GO.” FLU-SHOTS ARE JUST ANOTHER “PEA IN THE DISH.”

Look clearly at the 2014 rate compared to the 2013 rate.

For those of you who are on Medicare, read the following. It’s short, but
important and you probably haven’t heard about it in the Mainstream News:

“The per person Medicare Insurance Premium will increase from the present
Monthly Fee of $96.40, rising to:

        $104.20 in 2012

        $120.20 in 2013

        And

Robert Smith should improve on his sources

From the horses mouth as they say
        http://www.medicare.gov/cost/
        ===================================================
        Part A monthly premium
(for people who pay a premium) $451

        Part A Late Enrollment Penalty
        +10%
Part B monthly premium $99.90 Higher-income consumers may pay more.

+10% for each full 12-month period that you could have had Part B, but didn’t sign up for it

So as you see non of the numbers match reality and with the “higher-income consumers may pay more” clause ANY of the numbers might match reality for one specific case.

Chris – Poor people are capable of learning, are they not? They just choose the easy way of just accepting everything the “god” doctor says. I am appalled at the ignorance of the poor as well as the not-so-poor. People need to take charge of their own health so we don’t have this “sick-care’ problem in this country, and world. I do my best to educate people I speak with; however, it’s just easier to go along.

      • CHRISTOPHER ALLEN HORTON

        “Karolyn,”

MA’AM, HOW CAN POOR PEOPLE LEARN WHEN MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS “TALK OVER THEIR HEADS?”

MANY NEGROES DO NOT UNDERSTAND THEIR DOCTORS DURING OFFICE VISITS. IN MANY CASES, AN ADULT CHILD OR GRANDCHILD HAS TO ACCOMPANY THE ELDERLY TO THE DOCTOR’S OFFICE SO HE/SHE CAN EXPLAIN TO THEIR LOVED ONE WHAT THE DOCTOR SAID. BUT, SINCE THESE YOUNGER RELATIVES ARE NOT MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS, THEY DO NOT HAVE A GOOD UNDERSTANDING OF WHAT THE DOCTOR SAID.

      • Karolyn

It is up to those of us who are computer literate to educate the elderly. Unfortunately, a great many computer literate people are more interested in Facebook and porno than in health.

      • DaveH

It’s too bad you don’t use some of your “literacy” to do some studying, Karolyn, and figure out that Big Government is just taking advantage on the rest of us. Here would be a good start:

I would like to point out vaccines and autism are not connected. So there is at least one less thing to fear from vaccines. Vaccines like any thing can be overdone. And like any medicine created by man can carry risks and side effects. I do not believe vaccines are evil. They should be regulated though.

When you are paranoid, you start looking around, reading history, learning all you can, you then find out you are not paranoid enough.

      Its all about the money.

      • Jeremy Leochner

Perhaps. But if I may counter Freedom Fighter. If some one is paranoid and starts to read history as you say it logically follows that their view of history will be based on paranoia. Its sort of like forming a theory and then looking through the evidence. The problem with that is as Sherlock Holmes said “Inevitably one begins to twist evidence to fit theories instead of theories to fit evidence.” Vaccines like I said are a form of medicine. They can be dangerous but if used properly they can be successful. My grandmother often tells me how important it was for her to get her vaccines and for my dad and aunt. All three of them turned out fine. And according to my grandmother the vaccines helped quite a bit. I am not saying that vaccines are perfect. I just believe the phrase “All You’ve Been Told About The Flu Is A Lie” is a bit of a stretch. And I believe stretching the truth does little good. It is more likely to be counter productive.

      • JC

Except that people generally don’t formulate theories out of thin air and then go looking for evidence to back it up. People become suspicious when given clues and from their own observations. Then they do some digging…that’s not paranoia, that’s detective work.

      • Sandy

        Hi Jeremy,
You Say, “Its sort of like forming a theory and then looking through the evidence.” This is how all of science does research. The scientific method starts with a theory/hypothesis then does some research to prove or disprove it.

      • Chester

Sandy, in order to prove a theorem, you not only have to go through past evidence, but you must show fresh research with repeatable results. That doesn’t mean go back through the books again and again, but start in from scratch with a different bunch of people and actually get repeatable results. In other words, some other scientist who doesn’t necessarily agree with you has to be able to take your research and repeat what you have done and get the SAME results. I noticed the author blamed a lot of the deaths on pneumonia, but how did the pneumonia get its toehold in the victim’s system? Your immune system being geared up and running all out fighting the flu gives the pneumonia bacteria, if bacterial pneumonia was the cause of death, a chance to take hold in your lungs.

      • Jeremy Leochner

JC: I was basing my comment on freedom fighters. Freedom fighters comment appeared to be based on the idea of being paranoid and then looking through history and confirming ones paranoia. One may find some evidence to justify paranoia. However evidence against ones paranoia is also possible. The problem with paranoia is it shuts down ones reason if allowed to go to far. If one gets to caught up in paranoia one can begin to believe that any evidence that is contrary to what they believe is something that is just being falsified in order to trick them. When in reality they may in fact be wrong. There is always two sides to a story. The problem with paranoia is it rarely allows one to listen to both.

Sandy: I will grant that. However science is founded on forming theories and then proving or disproving them. As such the foundation of science is about changing theories if the evidence does not fit the theory. Science is not about fitting evidence to a theory. Paranoia on the other hand is all about fitting evidence to a theory. Science is about observation and experimentation using method and numerous resources. Paranoia is often about simply ones own beliefs and trying to validate it by searching through what simple agrees with what one already believes. Science is about dealing with evidence that is contrary to what one theorizes. Paranoia is about declaring contrary evidence to be nothing more than a lie or a delusion.

I haven’t had a shot in over 10 yrs and haven’t had the Flu even once. The secret is to keep your Immune System healthy. I take Turmeric with black pepper and/or Curry. Also, eat lots of veggies. Things that have lots of Vit. C. If somehow things get me down a little (stress overload, phy. labor, etc.) and I feel something possibly coming on, I’ll take Liposomal Vit. C. and it will clear up within 8-10 hrs. No Flus, Colds, nor even a headache! My spouse was always skeptical until she saw me never getting sick even tho’ she’d bring home all kinds of ailments. Now she’s as healthy as I am as she started doing my thing.

      • DaveH

Jeremy (aka Flashman) says — “If some one is paranoid and starts to read history as you say it logically follows that their view of history will be based on paranoia”.
Nice attempt at manipulation, Jeremy (aka Flashman). The problem is that the people who fall for your kind of manipulation aren’t smart enough to grasp the concepts of Freedom anyway.

Jeremy (aka Flashman) says — “My grandmother often tells me how important it was for her to get her vaccines and for my dad and aunt. All three of them turned out fine. And according to my grandmother the vaccines helped quite a bit”.
Is that it, Jeremy (aka Flashman)? Your relatives didn’t suffer any ill, so that proves that vaccines aren’t harmful? How could your Grandma possibly know that the vaccines helped her, since she didn’t have the experience of a parallel life in which she didn’t have the vaccinations?
I think my 12-year-old Grandson could do better than that.

      • Old Henry

Another thing you can do rocquedog is to check your body’s pH on a regular basis to make sure it is in an alkalyn state. Illnes cannot exist in an alkalyn environment.

      • Jeremy Leochner

        Hie Dave.

Once again just Jeremy. In regards to your first comment I will say this. I am not trying to manipulate anyone. You may wish to read this other like comment I posted a little further down. “The problem with paranoia is it shuts down ones reason if allowed to go to far. If one gets too caught up in paranoia one can begin to believe that any evidence that is
contrary to what they believe is something that is just being falsified in order to trick them.”

Second: My grandmother always made my dad and aunt get their shots and vaccines. She tells me constantly about the times when they would get sick when they did not get their vaccinations. For my grandmother it was better safe then sorry. And she said that when they got their vaccinations they did not contract the disease that the vaccination was intended to protect them from. No way to know if they would have gotten it without the vaccine. But it appears the vaccine helped them. Sometimes what you see is what you get.

Mr. Livingston. you asked Jeremy for proof of his statement concerning vaccines and autism! I, too, have read of those same findings published by medical personell.
My question is how much time did you spend in the lab to reach your conclusions about flu and lies?? Or did that come from other sources! Like a mind set that vaccines come from government, all government is bad, therefore all vaccines must be bad! Really!
        BACK TO THE MIDDLE AGES!
CONTROL OF DISEASE HAS DONE NOTHING TO INCREASE LIFE EXPECTANCY!!! REALLY???

      • Richard Pawley

Bob, don’t you understand. The government says so. Doesn’t that make it so? I had a shot in 1970 for something when I got my first passport. It seems I was given another shot in the 1980′s for something but now I know better. I’m not saying that I would never have a vaccine but the key to good health is to keep your immune system up and to keep away from contagious people in case your immune system is not all you thought it was. You have probably seen the news that seven people have died in the NIH hospital in Bethesda that was somehow become infected last year by a person who had the untreatable disease that antibiotics and shots can’t stop. Now others coming there for different things are getting it. Not many thank God but hospitals and doctor’s offices are places where many diseases are spread. 100,000 people a year get sick in this country just visiting friends in the hospital. I did visit a doctor a decade ago but I haven’t been in a hospital since the 1980′s. My mom and dad passed away two years ago, a month apart.
She was just under 92 and he was 97. Mom often told me that when she was growing up hospitals were where you went to die.

Oh, yes, I have had flu twice since 1970. Once because I used a public office computer and forgot to wash my hands (they are 100 times more contaminated than office toilets) and then the four day H1N1 (apparently). I say apparently because I did not go to
a doctor but spent four days in bed and that was when I increased my vitamin C to 1.5 grams a day and my Vitamin D-3 to 15,000 IU beginning in months with reduced sunlight – September to April where I live. I was surprised at the amount you are taking but the 10,000 IU I had been was not enough to keep me from getting H1N1 but I was fine within four days. Perhaps I should increase what I take myself. I do cut back in April to September to 2,400 IU but then I sit in the mid-day sun for my lunch in shorts and short sleeves on most days when the sun is shining. How long have you been taking 30,000 IU?

      • Robert Smith

How’s this for a clear statement, Mr. Livingston?: “After a close review of more than 1,000 research studies, a federal panel of experts has concluded that vaccines cause very few side effects, and found no evidence that vaccines cause autism or type 1 diabetes.”

        That’s from: http://autismsciencefoundation.org/category/tags/vaccines

BTW, from that same page: “Andrew Wakefield’s 1998 MMR study, originally published and then retracted by the Lancet, has been called an “elaborate fraud” by the British Medical Journal (BMJ) after a lengthy investigation. BMJ concluded Dr. Andrew Wakefield misrepresented or altered the medical histories of all 12 of the patients whose cases formed the basis of the 1998 study — and that there was “no doubt” Wakefield was responsible.”

Because I am autistic Mr. Livingston. I was diagnosed with Autism when I was an infant. Unless my mother had a vaccine shoved into her stomach I highly doubt it caused my development to be effected. Autism is an issue involving the wiring of the brain. A person with Autism has a brain with wiring that is different from someone who is not Autistic. As evidence I can offer the study described -http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-504763_162-57460875-10391704/eeg-brain-scans-may-detect-signs-of-autism-
        in-2-year-old

Chemicals like Mercury do not rewire the brain. They damage and degenerate the brain. Wires plugged into the wrong plug is not the same as a wire that is cut or damaged. Autism does not stem from a damaged brain. It stems from a brain that is wired differently. I know this because its what I live with every single day. And I have had it all my life. My parents describe my development and how doctors examined me when I was a toddler and made the diagnosis. And in case you wonder, no I was not being given vaccinations at the time. My Autism had nothing to do with vaccinations. As such I find it difficult to believe that some one can be given autism by having a vaccination.

I have not claimed that vaccinations are the sole cause of autism and yours may be the result of something else, as you believe. However, depending upon your age, you may have received vaccinations for as many 24 “ailments” before you were 1. Here, I offer you more information for review.

This comment goes to all other commentators above! I personally have a DOCTOR friend who does not practice Western medicine in any regard due to the facts he has uncovered regarding the majority of all medicines approved by FDA. He personally showed me proof how all vaccines, even ones given to children for admission into school, cause illnesses & deaths due to what is in those vaccines that are extremely harmful to human beings. It is my opinion the government wants everyone to be on some kind of prescription, take all vaccines & scare you regarding West Nile Virus (which was probably created by them) so you brain cannot utilize its proper frequency. You then will think like the government wants you to think & they can control you. If you do your research the facts prove any type of medicine inhibits brain frequency ability. When that happens you cannot think with your full capacity & can easily be deterred from what could be best for you.

      • Jeremy Leochner

I want to apologize for any rude comments Mr.Livingston. Because I am Autistic it is a particularly sensitive issue. I wish to point out I never said nor do I believe that you said that vaccines are the sole cause of Autism. What I was trying to say is I believe that vaccinations play no role in Autism. I believe Autism is something you are born with as I was. And I believe it is not something that can be cured. Nor do I believe it is something that should be cured. Autism is not a weakness or something to be ashamed of. It is who one is. In regards to vaccines. I was given my vaccines. However I believe they played no part in who I am. I have always eaten healthy and done numerous things to care for my body. Parents who say their children were given Autism by vaccinations have done the same things to their children to detox them and improve their physical health that I did. However I never recovered from my Autism. I believe that Autism is not something that can be recovered from. In regards to your suggestion of me advocating a straw man argument with respect I believe that you and all who suggest vaccinations play a role in Autism are the ones pushing a straw man argument. Autism is part of who I am and it made me what I am today. I and I believe my friends and family consider me to be a good person and they care for every bit of who I am, both the Autistic and Non Autistic parts. When anyone says that vaccinations can trigger or cause Autism I feel personally insulted. Because it suggests that who I am is somehow degenerative. That what I am can be attributed in any way to damage done to the brain. The only negative that can come from vaccines is damage from chemicals. Autism is not caused by damage. As such it logically follows that vaccinations can play no role in causing or triggering Autism.

      • http://boblivingstonpl.wordpress.com Bob Livingston

        Dear Jeremy Leochner,

You write: “I want to apologize for any rude comments Mr.Livingston.” No apology necessary. I did not think your comments rude.

You write: “Because I am Autistic it is a particularly sensitive issue.” I understand why that would be the case.

You write: ” I wish to point out I never said nor do I believe that you said that vaccines are the sole cause of Autism.” That was the implication, but I accept your explanation.

You write: “What I was trying to say is I believe that vaccinations play no role in Autism. I believe Autism is something you are born with as I was.” I accept that that is your belief. However, I don’t find it a logical belief when one looks at the evidence.

You write: “Autism is not a weakness or something to be ashamed of.” You are correct.

You write: “I believe that Autism is not something that can be recovered from.” No cure has been found that I’m aware of. However, there are some treatments that have shown good results. You mentioned detox. This one of them.

You write: ” I believe my friends and family consider me to be a good person and they care for every bit of who I am, both the Autistic and Non Autistic parts. When anyone says that vaccinations can trigger or cause Autism I feel personally insulted. Because it suggests that who I am is somehow degenerative.” I’m sure they do consider you a good person and love you for who you are. That is human nature. You should not, however, feel insulted by someone suggesting the cause of your autism might be something other than heredity or “luck of the draw” but is instead caused by a post-birth inoculation or some other external factor. Especially if that person is trying educate others about the dangers involved in vaccinations. You cannot deny that an increase in the number of autism cases is attributable to some factor. It is up 78% in the last decade according to CDC figures, and probably much higher.

You write: “The only negative that can come from vaccines is damage from chemicals. Autism is not caused by damage. As such it logically follows that vaccinations can play no role in causing or triggering Autism.” You cannot definitively say this. You can believe it, but you can’t verify it factually.

        Best wishes,
        Bob

      • Jeremy Leochner

I can respect your position Mr. Livingston. In regards to the increase in the number of Autistic children I have no real answer. And I can certainly concede that what I say is my opinion. I would like to offer that a large amount of the medical community also believes that there is not a connection between vaccinations and Autism. I admit popularity does not equal fact. But it does not hurt when its doctors and medical experts.

Perhaps I have been to pedantic about the Autism issue. Mr. Livingston I am no medical expert. If mercury is in certain vaccines I can only assume that vaccines can be dangerous. I believe all medicines need to be watched and regulated. Maybe the reason I disagreed so much was for me your article seemed to imply a greater degree of danger from vaccines then I believe there is. That vaccines should not be regulated, they should be ignored or gotten rid of. I know you did not say that but just as what I said implied something to you so yours implied to me. One thing I think we can both agree on is vaccines can do great harm. We may disagree on the types of harm but at least we can agree on something.

First of all this is my personal opinion based on observation and what i have read on the subject.

Mr Livingston and Jeremy Leochner I do not believe there is a direct cause and effect between vaccines and Autism and related issues. However, I do believe certain people have a genetic propensity for Autism and related issues and vaccines can “switch on” that propensity. I also think if a woman smokes pot regularly right before she becomes pregnant or during her pregnancy it can “switch on” that propensity and I am sure there are other triggers for doing that as well.

In reply to Jeremy Leocher, I just wanted to say that when your grand parents got their vaccinations before the 60~s, vaccines were made in the good ol USA. They were trusted. Ever since vaccines were made by the lowest bidder, in countries that despise us, we have to be real fools to inject that junk into our bodies year after year. They are killing a lot of us every year, and I see people standing in long lines to get a shot that will most likely harm them, or worse kill them. PEOPLE NEED TO THINK!!

    • ArkansasRebel

I had a health official from South Africa tell me that in their country they have virtually eliminated autism. When I asked how she said that they don’t allow the preservative that we allow in vaccines in the U.S. It may well be that the statistics we are given about vaccines not being responsible for autism are also badly flawed.

I have a good friend who’s child (who had been seemingly normal before) had been diagnosed with autism. This occurred shortly after receiving a series of childhood vaccines. He has since recovered & is no longer autistic. Go figure.

It’s the thimerosal in the vaccine. It’s banned in many parts of the world but yet in the USA we allow it. It’s the mercury. You can ask for a vaccine without it. They make different kinds. I have all of the inserts for all the shots and vaccines given by my sons doc.
I don’t like him getting them but since my wife works there she thinks it’s ok. She doesn’t understand that doctors will pretty much pump patients with anything they say if big drug co.says its ok.

Since I am autistic and my autism has nothing to do with brain damage I can only deduce that brain damage does not cause autism. As such vaccines do not cause autism. Vaccines cause brain damage. Brain damage does not cause autism. Vaccines do not cause autism.

      • DaveH

That is the biggest load of fallacious argument that I’ve read today, Jeremy (aka Flashman). You should bottle that. It would make great fertilizer for the home gardener.

      • DaveH

        Line by line:
Jeremy says — “Because my brain is not damaged. I know, I have had scans on my brain”.
Meaningless sentences, Jeremy, since they relate to personal experience of which we have no proof.

Then Jeremy says — “Vaccines damage the brain”.
A claimed fact with no evidence.

Then Jeremy says — “Since I am autistic and my autism has nothing to do with brain damage I can only deduce that brain damage does not cause autism”.
You can deduce that from one personal experience (assuming it is even true)?

Then Jeremy says — “As such vaccines do not cause autism”.
Oh please, Jeremy, what you’ve proved is simply that you can present obtuse circular reasoning.

Then Jeremy says — “Vaccines cause brain damage. Brain damage does not cause autism. Vaccines do not cause autism”.
A veritable repeat of that which Jeremy has already said. Do you think, Jeremy, that repeating something over and over somehow makes it valid?

      • Jeremy Leochner

Got me there Dave I admit I am a tad repetitive. Here’s all I have to offer. I feel that since I am autistic I am some what qualified to speak on the subject. According to my parents the signs of my autism appeared when I was just a toddler. I sincerely believe that a person is born autistic. As such I cannot believe that vaccines can cause it. Unless somehow they can rewire the brain. I have never heard of such a thing. If such a thing was possible I would think that they would have cures for everything from Alzheimer’s to Epilepsy. However they do not. The brain cannot be rewired by a chemical. A chemical can only affect other chemicals. Since vaccines are chemicals it seems logical to me that they effect chemical levels in the body. And as such the only damage they can do is the damage that can result from chemicals that cause damage to the body. I do not see how chemicals can be the cause of my autism when I have always been the way I am even when I have eaten healthy and not gotten vaccinations. I have not had a shot or vaccination in several years. However I am still autistic. Yes it is just my personal experience. But that really is all I can speak from. I believe that people can develop mental problems from having vaccinations. However I believe autism is not one of them. There may be symptoms like the symptoms of autism. But like and same are not equal. I am sorry if I sound repetitive but this is something I strongly believe in. I do not believe that repeating what I say makes what I say true. I believe that what I say is true.

” According to my parents the signs of my autism appeared when I was just a toddler. ”

Jeremy, first see my 12:44 AM post. Second You were most likely given the DPT vaccine and possible more within days if not hours of your birth.

Bob left out another thing about the flu vaccine. It is incubated in chicken eggs so any person allergic to chicken eggs is at risk. I’ve never had a flu shot and never will.
When my brother was working in a nursing home all the staff were required to get the shot. He told them he didn’t want it, but was told if he didn’t he would be fired. He was sick for almost a week, but his boss was even sicker. Out for 2 weeks.
My son was required to have the measles vaccine. He was so sick he spent 3 days in the hospital. THEN——-he contracted measles anyway.
By the way, the last time I had the flu was April, 1958.

Wrong, autism has skyrocketed ever since our children started receiving all these vaccines (which we never got as children). Autism has the same symptoms as mercury poisoning, which occurs from the thimerosol in the large number of vaccines. There is a higher concentration of mercury in thimerosol containing vaccines than in toxic waste. Wake up folks.

      • Jeff

Never give your child more than one vaccination at a time. Space them out. It’s the “shotgun” vaccinations that have been linked to autism.

  • FreedomFighter

“Of course, Big Pharma no longer has to concern itself about the health effects of its vaccines. Lawmakers have exempted them from liability, and the U.S. Supreme Court has ruled the laws shield vaccine makers from product-liability lawsuits that are filed in State courts and seek damages for injuries or death attributed to vaccines.”

No-liability – why should they care about quality, side effects or other complication…like sterility or exposure to disease or accidental contamination.

The best reason to never get a flu shot I have ever read.

Totally agree. Just one more reason not to get the annual flu shot.

I have made sure no one in my family (kids, grandparents, etc) gets the shot for the past several years. None of us have died yet and in fact many years do not get the flu at all. On contrary, most years we got the shots we all got sick following getting the shot.

I see no reason for getting the flu shot. We all pass.

My brother-in-law was given the flu and pneumonia shots together one year and became suddenly very sick. Three days later he he died at home in bed after the clinic couldn’t find what was wrong with him. Also, a lady I worked with many years ago had the flu shot and became so sick she missed several weeks of work and still could hardly speak after returning to work. I have never had a flu shot and don’t ever plan to.

I have nevea flu shot and I never get colds mush less the flu. I also think the vaccines children get should be updated, as both parents and most of the grand parents have had these shots. To me it seems this stuff is pasted on and on and could accummulate to be too much after so many generations pass it on.

I got a flu shot at work back in 1979 – my first and only. I got real sick and missed one day of work, should have missed three. Never again.

    • rcrain

My doctor at the VA was harping on me about getting the flu shot. I told him it was made by the lowest bidder, in a country that hates Americans, and they have no responsibility to answer to anyone, so why would anyone in their right mind get it? He told me he wished he had talked to me earlier, as he got his that very morning. He has never pushed that shot again that I know of!

My husband and myself haven’t taken flu shots since before 1975. We are healthy and active and have not had the flu in years. The last time I can remember getting the flu was in 1965. At that time 4 out of 5 of our family got it. My husband is alleric to the eggs whice is what they use to raise the vacine.

Read up on Alka Seltzer (or generic).. There is a side effect they didn’t count for and don’t advertise. When I was growing up my family took two at least four times a week (more during cold season and rarely came down with flu or even cold symptoms) For those who are aspirin intolerant just leave the residue on the bottom of the glass. But don’t take my word.. Investigate. I read this several years ago (that it’s a side effect) but since Alka Seltzer plus cold medication, I can’t seem to find it now.
