Actually simple to explain. Our fighting men are out on the lines almost every day and when they aren’t on the lines they are attacked in their bunks. In past wars there was down time between battles. That’s been changing since the invention of trench warfare in WW1 and other factors that keep our guys in more danger for longer stretches. The pressure is enormous.

The nature of war is also changing. The restrictions and rules applied sometimes make it as dangerous to shoot as not to shoot. It’s no wonder we are having problems with our military folks.

Galt – My father was a war veteran. My sister is a war veteran. I have much family and many friends who are war veterans. I have a friend in Iraq as we speak, who was in the military and is now a contractor.
