What If The Media Actually Told The Truth?

August 23, 2012 by

Hello. I’m Wayne Allyn Root for Personal Liberty. Today’s video commentary is about a strange concept: What if the media actually decided to tell the truth? Have you seen the latest Newsweek magazine cover out this week? Ultra-left Newsweek’s cover story features a photo of Obama and the headline: “Hit the Road Barack, Why We Need a New President.” My, how the mighty have fallen! Is it possible the mainstream media are finally starting to grasp what I predicted three months ago: that Obama will lose in a landslide? Has the first domino fallen? As the media realize that Obama will not only lose, but lose big, I predict this will be the first of many negative headlines for Obama. After all, no one likes to bet on a lame horse.

Why the change of heart? The latest Gallop Poll has Romney up by 2 points. That’s before the GOP Convention. Rasmussen (my most trusted pollster) has had Romney up by 3 to 4 points most days for a solid month. Rasmussen also has Romney winning Indiana, North Carolina, Florida and dead even in Wisconsin (all States Obama won in 2008). Obama is in deep trouble and that’s before America gets to see Paul Ryan debate Joe Biden and realizes that Biden is a worn-out union hack with no knowledge of facts whatsoever.

What if the media actually try playing fair and balanced and telling the truth? Here is what they’d report:

If the media told the truth, instead of harping on Romney’s “female gap” they’d report on Obama’s “male gap,” “white gap,” “senior gap,” “Christian gap” and “military veteran gap.” Obama is sinking fast with all these important voting groups. Romney is winning by landslide margins with them all. Obama loses the male vote by as much, or more, than he wins among females. Funny how the media never mention that!

If the media told the truth, they’d challenge Obama’s lies that his bailout of GM and Chrysler is a model of success. In reality, it is a model of disaster: a $25 billion loss for the American taxpayer. If the media told the truth, they’d report that the much of the $25 billion went to pay off auto unions that contributed heavily to Obama, while stealing bondholders’ entire investment.

They’d also report that while Obama used taxpayer money to make whole every pension for every union member of GM and Chrysler, he let the pensions of non-union autoworkers go bankrupt. If the media think this is success, I’ve got a bridge to sell you in Brooklyn.

If the media told the truth, they’d report that Obama is the first President in modern history to never pass a budget. How many Americans have heard that Obama’s most recent budget was voted down 99-0 in the U.S. Senate? Obama’s budget was so ridiculous that every single Democrat voted against it. I guess the media just forgot about that.

If the media told the truth, they’d call Vice President Joe Biden a racist and “gutter politician” for telling a primarily black audience the GOP plan is “to put y’all back in chains.” Cutting spending is hardly akin to slavery. The truth the media should report is that putting American taxpayers over $5 trillion more in debt in only 3½ years is enslaving our children and grandchildren to a lower quality of life. But the media have been careful not to mention that form of slavery.

If the media told the truth, they’d report that Paul Ryan’s plan reforms Medicare and saves it for future generations (with no change for anyone over 55) while President Obama has stolen $700 million from Medicare to pay for Obamacare (with no plan whatsoever to save this debt-riden, out-of-control program). They’d also report that Obama’s massive January tax increase raises taxes on dividends and interest to levels not seen in decades. Seniors live off investment income, interest and dividends. With Obama cutting their income, many seniors will lose their homes and retirement income. If the media told the truth, they would report: “This guy Obama clearly hates old people.”

Liberal feminists often call men “verbally abusive.” If the media told the truth, they’d report that Obama is the “verbally abusive President.” His never-ending punching bags are small-business owners and the rich. His off-teleprompter rants such as “You didn’t build that,” “The private sector is doing fine” and “We want to spread the wealth around” demonstrate Obama’s total economic incompetence and lack of understanding that America’s business owners provide the jobs and taxes that pays for government. How can any educated journalist protect a President so ignorant (and arrogant) as to not know that without businesspeople and entrepreneurs there would be no government services or employees?

If the media told the truth, they’d report Obama is “the bribery President.” Free contraception to women, amnesty through Executive Order to young Hispanics, advertising campaigns in Mexico to inform illegals in the USA that they qualify for food stamps, creating an Office of African-American Education. Every day, comes a new bribe to Obama’s voters, all within weeks of the election. Yet the media are silent. They are like Sgt. Schultz of the “Hogan’s Heroes” television series: “I see nothing! I know nothing!”

If the media told the truth, they’d report we are facing economic collapse. They would report the tragic economic indicators just out for July:

  • Last month, California’s sales tax revenues plunged a shocking $539 million below expectations.
  • The jobless rate rose in 44 States in July, including 9 out of 10 battleground States.
  • In the 10th (Ohio) it stayed even.

This is no recovery. And, here’s the worst news: The American Petroleum Institute reports that U.S. consumer demand for oil in July was the lowest since 1995. These figures are alarming, to say the least. Where are the media hiding while the economy collapses? Asleep at the switch.

My advice to the national media: Newsweek did it. You can do it, too. Break your Obama addiction. The truth will set you free! More importantly, it will set America free!

Well, a guy can dream, can’t he?

I’m Wayne Allyn Root for Personal Liberty. See you next week, same time, same place. God Bless.

    If you have to lie to promote something or someone then the line between truth and fiction lies in the middle. Promoting one side constitutes turning your back on America. What is it that Obama has done for us that makes us better. WE are losing our freedoms our homes our good standing in the world. Our credit rating has been downgrading for the first time unde Obama. You can only point the finger in blame for so long before you look like the kid that cried wolf. The main stream media has lost ALL integrity. They have made them selves look bias and like they have been bought. The nasty things they say without checking facts. People aren’t this stupid. Why do you think the Democrats want to control the internet, the way we live. It sounds to much like a take over. Instead of a democracy. We have troops fighting to protect us while we are losing our freedoms here.

    • DaveH

      Theresa says — “Why do you think the Democrats want to control the internet”.
      It isn’t just the Democrats, Theresa. It is Progressives in general, and they are in both Parties.
      Here’s info on the SOPA bill, for instance. Note that the list of sponsors is about equally distributed between Republicans and Democrats:
      http://www.opencongress.org/bill/112-h3261/show

      • DaveH

        And here’s info on PIPA.
        Notice particularly how many Republicans withdrew their initial Sponsorship of the Bill. Why is that? Their constituents, maybe, put immense pressure on them? But even if so, the fact remains that they sponsored the bill before they got caught with their hands in the cookie jar. That doesn’t say much for their character:
        http://www.opencongress.org/bill/112-s968/show

      • DaveH

        There is no doubt in my mind that the Progressives are having immense angst over the Free exchange of ideas on the Internet, and they will do everything they can to control that, like they do with the other Media sources.

  • boyscout

    “If the media told the truth” HA HA HA HA HA HA etc. They are neither inclined nor paid to tell the truth but USUALLY avoid the gaffs that come from the likes of senators and congressmen. I look to the Libertarians on sites like this for a balanced view and wade through the bs, racism, and name calling permitted here to get it.

  • Larry H

    I will not Vote for Obama for two main reason which are he supports Abortion an same sex marriage. To me if your willing to stand by and encourage the murder of the unborn innocent whats to keep you from other immoral actions and his open support of same sex marriage proves that. I’m against the health care bill for a couple of reasons of which the big one is requiring everybody one way or the other to have it or support it,but then don’t we already do this with car insurance if you own a car.I do not accept all that the right states as fact no more than the lefts as both think they know who best serves John Q public and want the power to enforce there ideals.

  • Mary kolyer

    The media has been bought by our socilist president. He does not deserve a capital p. Thank you Mr Root for telling the truth. Sometims I wonder why isn’t any one in the gorernment investigate all the alligations that surface against Obama. Are they being threatened by Obama and his friends in Washington. I am so afraid we will be come a communist country and will never see America as it was before.God help us if Obama wins.

  • http://yahoo Salty Sailor

    The lame stream media is not able to tell the truth they are funded by George Soros and he dictate’s what they say ore no more funding from him.

    • Nadzieja Batki

      The people who work in the media as a whole may not be able to tell the truth because they conditioned themselves their whole lives in believing and telling lies. In as plain language as possible their brain chemistry will not permit them to differentiate between the truth and a lie.
      There are remnants of people even within the media that will tell the truth no matter what.

    • DaveH
  • RivahMitch

    I haven’t trusted the media since I returned from Vietnam in 1969. No matter what they say, even if it were (purely by accident) the truth, I wouldn’t believe it.

    • Theresa

      Thank you for your service, I agree totally. The vets coming back were ignored and spit on. I am appalled by those actions, Think about it, Those are the people that are in power now. Bob Beckel admits to protesting against the war. No matter what we thought of it. We had troops their by no means of their own power. they were asked or told to go and they did. Support the troops even if you don’t agree with the war. I lost a brother husband and cousin serving and I live with that everyday. So thank you for your service, I appreciate it. So does my family

    • 45caliber

      Rivah:

      I fully agree. I was in Vietnam with the 173rd Airborne Infantry and later with the 82nd Airborne. I was shocked at how the media changed the stories between what happened and what the Americans saw. I also saw the stories about the Central High School story in AR and what really happened. I’ve been interested in learning the truth behind stories ever since. The media started blasting the military when the 101st Airborne was called into Detroit to put down a 2 week riot that the police couldn’t (wouldn’t) put down. The Army ruined their Detroit story. Two weeks later I never heard anything good about the military. Glad you served, Brother!

  • Liberty Lover

    Tell everyone you know to see “2016, Obama’s America” by Dinesh D’Souza. Saw it yesterday and the crowd broke out in applause at the end. Two Russian ladies sitting near me wanted to know why in the world people would want to CHANGE America in the way that Obama is trying to change it. To them, Obama wants the misery they already fled in leaving Russia.

    • Daveh234

      That movie is a load of crap.
      Propaganda from a right wing zealot does not make it “truth”.
      You just believe it as is your right.
      Still doe not qualify as truth.

      • OOOOPPert EEEEpert

        We know Obozo was not born here, that is undeniable… but it is more than that….he simply does not have the consciousness of Freedom & Liberty, he is a facist emperor, who just wants more power…he is not part of the mandala of America…there are many not born here, who have that mindset & will do anything to honor it!!!

      • needfulthings

        President Obama was born here silly boy!, You are clueless as to what a facist is, but just incase you missed it ….. thats you who supports the facist republican party. So the new attack is “mandala America” What Fox noise reporter started that one? Well at lease yer on the right Continent but have NO idea how diverse the Africa Continent is, What happens in South Africa is a completely world from north Africa Countries, their not even all black skinned.
        tell us .. what do Morocco, Egypt, Libya and Algeria all have in common? Yeah I know you don’t have a clue … go look it up ! How silly you raceist can be, You here “Africa” and you think black people, the place where Tarzan lives! Yer the only one that swings thru trees.

      • eddie47d

        Propaganda sells Dave whether coming from the left or the right. They sell messages not facts.

      • 45caliber

        needful:

        That is a typical liberal response when someone else states facts. No argument, no evidence, nothing but name calling. If you can’t do a lot better, go somewhere else.

      • the big easy

        @-dave,and needs-a-brain———–COMRADES————–I guess that propaganda alleged film by that flea-infested flea-bagger blow-hard moore is what you can,factual ? ? ? ? ? ? ? Or maybe that other hallow-cranium al gore,with all that, give me all your money because of ‘GLOBAL WARMING’,while he has a 20 MILLION SQUARE FOOT house,using some $30,000.00 a month electric bill.Or maybe that STUPID democraps ad,that says Mitt Romney caused that woman to DIE because she had no insurance,after her husband was laid off————the FACT that he was offered a PAY-OFF for his time with the co.,or the FACT that the wife DID have insurance with her co.,or the FACT that she got cancer and died some 7 years after Mitt Romney was departed from that Bain Capital Co.,does not enter into the FACT that the lilly pink left wing progressive liberal will LIE IN YOUR FACE and NOT EVEN FLENCH.—————-What a bunch of COMMIE PUKES———————————

      • Nadzieja Batki

        How do you know the movie by Dinesh D’Souza is not the truth?
        How do you determine what is truth?
        How do you determine who is telling the truth?
        Do you believe yourself that when you speak you do not lie?

      • HH

        ” ….. thats you who supports the facist republican party”.

        need-a-brain, MOST folks here DO NOT support the republican party!

      • DaveH

        Is that the best refutation you can muster, Daveh234?
        How about telling us which parts were untrue and why?

      • Gordon

        tsk tsk Dave. You sound like the commies.

      • Dale left coast

        Really Dave , , , he didn’t really hang with marxists and extreme left losers. He didn’t hang out at Krazy Wright’s Church for 20 years . . . next you’ll be telling us he didn’t come from Chicago.
        Did he grow up in a foreign country? Did he go to university as a Foreign Student? How come the mystery around his SS Number?
        Your loony libertarian is showing again Dave . . . . lol

      • OOOOPPert EEEEpert

        His real Pops was Franklin Marshall Davis, big time commie!!!

    • Paul Wells

      Liberty Lover,
      I saw that movie too, and anyone who plans on voting this November should see it also. Dinesh soft pedals many aspects of the Obama story, but presents it in such a way as to edify the greatest number of people. Despite Daveh234′s assertion that it’s all bogus, there is not one thing that isn’t fact. In fact, boastful Daveh234, prove ONE THING that isn’t factual in that movie, otherwise you are a libtard bile spewing spunk monkey! We’ve put up with your idiotic commentary long enough, you are way way short on facts, and way way long on hyperbole/misinformation!

      • DaveH

        Hey, don’t be so hard on him. He’s a Progressive. They have no choice but to lie, since their agendas have been proven to be bankrupt.

      • Flashy

        Reagan and Bush II were Progressives? really ?

      • DaveH

        I don’t think Reagan was, Flashman, but certainly both Bushs were.

  • Johnny

    I come here not to get facts, but to find out where all of the talking points come from that I hear republicans and anti obama people spewing…..now I know….when republicans took control of congress, the first thing they did was read the constitution, you need go no further than seeing what HR1,2 and 3 were and know what they were trying to do…HR2, kill the job killing healthcare law, HR3 No taxpayer funding for abortion…..HR1 was a continuing resolution for appropriations….I dont see any jobs bills…..they have decided to never work with the President, if the truth be known everyone should be down on republicans for purposefully and willfully tanking our economy in order to blame obama…maybe sometimes what the President does is the right thing to do…..like giving people a chance to get citizenship…..mexico is our closest neighbor and yet we welcome people from other continents more than we do our neighbor…..people dont mind immigrants when they work for peanuts on their farms or clean their houses or nanny their kids……we give 5 billion a year to oil companies, the most profitable business on the planet and yet you complain about giving women free birth control so they can determine for themselves when they have kids, but I dont see you complaining about giving exxon mobil, who made what, like 20 billion in PROFIT in one quarter taxpayer money….you people are such hypocrites………….I think the best thing to do with healthcare is get the insurance companies OUT OF THE WAY……PEOPLE AND BUSINESSES SHOULD NOT profit FROM SICKNESS……take the profit out of keeping people sick and the health of our country will get better

    • needfulthings

      Here Here Johnny, right on the nose! but why must you bring facts into all this??

      Like I said before, If there was a democrate running for president I’d be inclined to vote for that person, but when you consider whatz running President Obama is the best bet but we need to win the house and senate too!

      Tinkle Down econnomy my arss, I don’t like golden showers !!!!!

      • the big easy

        @-needs a brain——–COMRADE————–As long as you get your gubermint cheese,you don’t care how badly this flea-infested flea-bagger what’s in charge in the white house now DESTROYS this ‘THE GREATEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD’,do you ? ? ? ? ———————What a puke————————-

    • OOOOPPert EEEEpert

      many of these moves you mention are illegal…Since when does a sitting president have the right to dictate to private businesses to give away a product free????? And these are not contraceptives bur ABORTIFACIENTS, that kill innocent life in the womb!!! And how do the insurance companies pay for this giving away of free stuff, by raising premiums on everyone else!!
      OBOZO HAS NO CLUE, OR HE IS INTENTIONALLY TRYING TO DESTROY THE COUNTRY…..either way, he can’t win !!!

      • eddie47d

        Contraceptives keep a woman from getting pregnant and thus avoiding an abortion. I think that is why you are so adamant against contraceptives whether free or paid for. That way you can keep women pregnant and occasionally in need of an abortion. You know.. ..keep stirring the pot!

      • Flashy

        Note there is no outrage about viagra being included in mandatory coverage. Wonder why that is?

      • OOOOPPert EEEEpert

        Didn’t know that, but if true that should be banned , too…difference is men ain’t taking to the streets & demanding it!!! Is there a war against erectile dysfunctional men?

    • http://norman@cates-family.com Norman F.

      When, exactly, did the Republicans take control of Congress? A solid Democrat majority in the Senate is stopping every effort to control this situation. Example: The Republican led House of Representatives has passed a budget for the last three years and the Democrat led Senate has never voted on any of them.

      • Daveh234

        Because they thought the budgets presented sucked.
        Mostly they did.
        Remember the ideology of the parties come into play?
        It’s just the back and forth reality of partisan politics. If both side budged more would get done.
        Republicans have never budged when concessions were given and continued the deadlock. Sad but true.

    • the big easy

      @-johnny come lately——COMRADE—————-Let me ask you this,would you invest your money in a hospital or clinic,FOR NO PROFIT ? ? ? ? ? Or would you go to college to become a doctor,have a very large student loan to pay back,and NOT MAKE A PROFIT ? ? ? ? ?I would be willing to bet that you would not even LOAN money to your best friend,if you were not getting something extra back.You say mesico is our closest neighbor,NO COMRADE, they are our DEPENDENTS. ———-You say that we should be DOWN on the Repubs,why don’t you take a look at some AMERICAN HISTORY—-who was it that FREED the slaves,a REPUBLICAN,who was it that got rid of SEGREGATION,the REPUBLICANS,who was it that started the K.K.K,the wonderful democraps,just go look up your hero,robert byrd,and what about the FACT that the person the blacks look up to,MARTIN LUTHER KING,was a REPUBLICAN———–you lilly pink left wing progressive liberal flea-infested flea-baggers should cut way back on the crack pipe.————-What are you,about 6 years old ? ? ? ? ? ? ———-What a puke———————————

      “…HR2, kill the job killing healthcare law, HR3 No taxpayer funding for abortion…..HR1 was a continuing resolution for appropriations….I dont see any jobs bills…..”

      Johnny, think of what you just posted, (one thing the rep’s tried to do was “kill the job killing health care bill”?) Johnny, It’s a stupid bill, it KILLS jobs but that’s not the only reason the reps are against it!!!

      Do you want the tax payers to fund abortions? I don’t want my tax dollars going to pay for killing unborn children that’s against my morals and christian upbringing!

      Johnny and needfulthings, you two sure have a backwards way of looking at things.

    • DaveH

      Government cannot create Net Jobs. They can create jobs, sure, but they destroy a greater number of jobs that would have been created in the Private Sector with that same money. Government consumes Wealth (wealth being the products that are actually created by man); Government doesn’t create it. If Big Government was the solution to our wars, there would be no poor countries. Any wing-nut Government person can spend money. Creating wealth requires Free Markets where the Companies compete for the Consumers’ attention and patronage. Only Free Markets can know (in timely manner) where the demand is, and therefore what the supply needs to be. Government inherently brings the inefficiencies of Politics into the fray and just wastes the consumers’ money.
      That’s why the most Unfree Countries on this list have the worst economies:
      http://heritage.org/index/ranking

      • DaveH

        What? Another loose nut on my keyboard, lol?
        “If Big Government was the solution to our wars, there would be no poor countries”.
        Should have been “If Big Government was the solution to our economic woes, there would be no poor countries”.

      • Gordon

        DAve, search out “countries that were white controlled and then turned over to black leadership”….. and see what happened to their economies and culture in 10 years….. Not racist, just facts.

      • DaveH

        Gordon,
        Take your White vs Black bias somewhere else.

      I WOULD JUST LIKE TO REMIND THE AMERICAN PEOPLE TO DISREGARD THE “AGENDA’S” THAT THE LIBERALS ARE TRYING TO USE IN ORDER TO THROW YOU OFF GUARD, OUR DESTINATION IS TO REMOVE OBAMA AND GET AMERICA BACK AND SAFE FROM THE LIBERAL HATE THAT GROWS LIKE A CANCER TO DIVIDE OUR NATION,OUR PEOPLE AND OUR GOALS. TOGETHER WE STAND, DIVIDED WE FALL! KEEP FOCUSED!!

      • Tammy Hitchcock

        I agree with you Diana, it seems all the current administration and co. want to do is sling mud and lies, they DO NOT Want to talk numbers and FACTS!

      • OOOOPPert EEEEpert

        Alas,Ron Paul can’t win……Both parties suck, but the Dems suck far more!!!

      • needfulthings

        Yeah! Thats why the republicans are trying to FIX the vote! The right has nothing but more recession or another depression in their offerings. Go read the non-partisan reports as to what would happen if the two multi millionares got their way with the econnomy.

      • eddie47d

        Oh Please now are you going to tell us the Right doesn’t have an agenda and don’t fudge the numbers to get elected. There are some Romney ads that have been proven to be false and some that have only a little spin so which do you endorse.

      • HH

        needfulthings says: “Yeah! Thats why the republicans are trying to FIX the vote! The right has nothing but more recession or another depression in their offerings”

        And the left has nothing but slavery and financial ruin in their offerings! As far as fixing the vote, why do the dem’s cry when anyone suggest that voters need to have ID’s? Who’s trying to “FIX” the vote?

      • DaveH

        OOOOPPert says — “Alas,Ron Paul can’t win”.
        And you know that how? Ron Paul could win. He draws votes from both disaffected Republicans, and disaffected Democrats. And he is the only Principled Candidate who has a History of fighting against UnConstitutional Big Government. He is one of only two candidates (Gary Johnson the other) who would really try to shrink our Gargantuan Gang of Government, and the best bet to actually accomplish that task.
        This “he can’t win” crap is just Propaganda fed to us by the Crony Politicians and their Crony Capitalists and swallowed by the unwitting Sheeple.
        Even if he didn’t win, his ideas would take on a bigger stage than ever before and we would have the best chance in my lifetime to actually see our country trend back to the Principles of Freedom that drove our Founders to create this once Free country.

        DAve, Ron Paul will end up with less than 6% of the votes cast. Hide and watch.

      • DaveH

        Is anything you say, Gordon, based on something other than your conjecture?
        Here are the Straw Poll results, for instance, from people who actually were there to hear Ron Paul and the others speak:

    The media follows the politics they believe in! They lean whatever way will gain them the most! Obama took from Medicare to take care of his welfare rat brethren who are able to work but are too danged lazy because they prefer the freebies government now provides them – its easier to sit on your butt and take food stamps, welfare, child care, housing, instead of putting it down several hours a day like the most of us! He doesn’t care who suffers, just like Pat Quinn, the gov.of Illinois – all corrupt since the 1800′s and that is Oskunko’s background – corruption. How can anyone expect anything different from a person that was raised on and taught corruption since the first day of their lives? Come on, who’s kidding who? He got into office because of color – shows what a rotten idea that was!

    • Daveh234

      Yep, all those white people, who are the majority, getting food stamps and welfare should definitely get off their butts.

      • http://yahoo bob peters

        Hey wait a minute! Us black folk have over 90% of our people on welfare so dont give all the credit to the white people!

      • OOOOPPert EEEEpert

        It’s the stupid white progressives that put you there & want to keep you there & sooner or later ALL OF US!!!

      • Tag

        @ Daveh234 – ya know, Dave, you need to find out how the ‘numbers’ work. It’s like this: whites outnumber blacks in population and that accounts for the larger numbers on anything, BUT, if you take the actual numbers in that particular group, blacks for instance, you will find that of those numbers there are more blacks on welfare, etc, than whites! For instance – I’ll downgrade this so you can understand – if I have 150 whites and of that 150 40 are on welfare, and I have 75 blacks, and 35 of those are on welfare then BLACKS have more on welfare programs than whites! You have to take the total population of a race and then the percentage of that number and you’ll find that blacks are by far more on welfare because of what I said previously – they take advantage of more freebies than whites! It has become a way of life for many! Too many! If there’s a ‘freebie’ out there they’ll find it and use it – earned or not! And, most not earned. There is one black female in our area that has 5 illegitimate kids, ALL by different sperm donors, never married, AND SHE IS PREGNANT AGAIN! This is an example of the trash we are complaining about – yet she is out and about running around having a gay old time while she is pumping out more rug rats! Now, tell me, is that fair for the rest of the folks that DO work for a living and have to be locked in to paying this tramps way?

      • DaveH

        Let’s not make this a Black/White issue. That’s how the Politicians play us off one another so they can get re-elected. We are all (Mainstreet Americans) getting rear-ended by these guys (the Political Class), and that will continue until we quit letting them use us as pawns.

      • Gordon

        Dave, the great social experiment of the 60s has created a nation of lazy send-me-a-check people who have little ethics, morals, integrity, and honor. Whether that experiment failed or succeeded is subject to interpretation…. but the results speak for themselves. Three generations have come, and more will come, spreading their doctrine of waste and welfare. The USA is soon to become a third world nation. Impending famine and raging inflation will cause socio-economic collapse that, as grandpa used to say…..”the next depression will make the 30s look like a church picknick.”

      • Tammy Hitchcock

        You are so right Gordon, LAZY people wanting to sit on their XXX and wait for a government check, 3rd world country, you see it like I do unfortunately! Some IDIOTS that don’t see large businesses leaving this country because the taxation is so high they take those jobs to people in other countries.
        DAVE…..Just where does Obama stand in your stats with increasing the debt???/IDIOT!
        Businesses pulling up stakes and moving to other countries, WE LOSE JOBS, MEANWHILE what are the numbers of visas given to aliens each year to come in and take more of the jobs.
        The schism of how differently people see things is absolutely astounding!!

      • Tag

        Well, I think you were the first person that mentioned ‘color’ here – so, it is a matter of welfare and numbers – that will automatically make it a difference between black and white since the current prex (hopefully his days are numbered) is black and his osumocare is geared towards those on welfare, etc. You can’t get away from it – it DOES have to do with color – and it always will! Face truth for a change – not the way you want it to be, but the way it is! It is what it is!

      • Liberty Lover

        Obama is said to have told someone that America would never accept an official “reparations” policy, so the goal was to achieve “reparations” indirectly by instituting policies that benefit blacks disproportionately. In fact, however, he has been emboldened to adopt blatantly racist policies designed to favor blacks.

      • Daveh234

        Geez, thanks for the “numbers” check Tag.
        Those classes in Statistics didn’t give me a clue.
        I knew what I said. I wasn’t talking percentages.
        It’s all in the language.
        That’s how you can sway the number to look the way you want.
        Pretty deep ain’t it?

      “The media follows the politics they believe in”!

      I don’t believe that for one minute Tag, the media follows the MONEY regardless of what they believe in!

      • Tag

        @HH, money IS the politic they believe in! What do you think I meant when I said they follow what will gain them the most? Duh!

      • HH

        No, I see a difference there. If I believe one way and someone tells me that they will give me money to “say” I believe another way, even tho I don’t, that’s called selling my morals which is what I believe the MSM does all the time.

  • JustAnotherJoe

    And if the media told the truth, they would also say that Mitt Romney is no better than Obama, and-if elected-will only have Christians and conservatives falling back asleep (thinking all is well), while the country still is Fed-Ex’ed to hell in a hand cart, albeit, maybe not at the mach-10 Obama has had us speeding along at. Also, while hell is freezing over, the media might want to also include the fact that, despite Obama’s supposed “fall from grace”, stupidity may still reign supreme, and he may just get re-elected by those who forever want something-for-nothing.

    • OOOOPPert EEEEpert

      There’s no way in Hell, Romney can be worse than OBOZO!!

      • 45caliber

        OOOOPP:

        Sure there is. He can lead us to the same place Obama is taking us, but slower, less perceptibly, more effectively.

    • http://norman@cates-family.com Norman F.

      If Romney is elected and turns out as you suggested, Joe, then he can be a one term President, too. But, we will be rid of President Obama. One step at a time, Joe.

      • DaveH

        Yep, and then we step to the next Lesser of Two Evils that the Crony Capitalists put up for us. It will not end until we end it. There is NO Better Time than NOW.

        I agree. Anyone who would want BHO after his open mic gaffe with the Russian leader is just being too blind.

        I would like to end the lesser of 2 evil voting also, but we will have a hard enough time to get rid of this tyrant if it’s even possible.

        I think Ron Paul would be the best possible solution, but there aren’t enough people who would know enough to go with him to overturn BHO.

        I know that some know their history, and why they can’t see the correlation with BHO and Hitler, I can’t even imagine.

        BHO is even trying to get kids in grade school into thinking he’s something special. That’s not unlike the Hitler Youth. And you can bet they will serve as a sources of dissidence if he gets to take over as a dictator.

        But say that’s far-fetched because nothing like that could happen with our constitution because that didn’t happen with Hitler, either. The Germans were just too naive to see what was going on. We aren’t like them. Christianity isn’t against the law here, is it? Bah, hum-bug if that’s your way of thinking.

      • Jeff

        I think you are very accepting of some really bad information. Where is the evidence linking Obama to Hitler? It’s so absurd I feel I need to take a shower after asking the question. Who is feeding you this crap? Where is the evidence of the Obama Youth?

        The real link to Hitler was in the Bush family. Prescott (W’s grandfather) made lots of money doing business with the Nazis. But that was just business and he was white. Plus, Prescott never proposed the unpardonable sin of serving someone other than the already wealthy.

        If Romney gets elected, I hope you make lots of money from investments, because no one else will count at all. But you’ll be happy because he’ll say mean things about Mexicans. Wake up. Unless you’re a Plutocrat, Romney doesn’t want to know from you.

      • KENYAN KRUSHER

        You say “If Romney gets elected, no one else will count.”…what kind of BS is that?????
        You think Obama cares about you or America???? WAKE UP !!!!!! All he cares about is himself & his cronies, the commies & socialists that hate this nation & the good it stands for !!!!

      • Jeff

        KKK

        I think Romney would sell his mother, grandmother, wife and kids to become President. His background consists of incredibly selfish behavior that would be criminal if done by anyone other than a company like Bain. Try borrowing lots of money to reorganize your business, then closing the company, firing all the workers, taking their pension plan and the borrowed proceeds and deposit it in a Swiss Bank Account. Bankruptcy fraud? Bank fraud? If Bain does it, it’s just business.

        An stop the idiotic “commie” talk. You sound like Archie Bunker. Nobody outside a blog like this would do anything but laugh in your face if you talk like that. What communist or socialist policies has Obama pushed? The healthcare law is not socialistic at all. Medicare is a socialist component of a mixed economy as is social security. Are you proposing getting rid of such “socialist” programs? If you are, you are, in the words of Dwight Eisenhower, “stupid.”

      • KENYAN KRUSHER

        Obama does the same types of things but with out taxpayer money…waste tons of it!!!

        And you call me KKK, assuming I’m a racist, because I’m against the Interloper!!!

      • KENYAN KRUSHER

        Are you BRAIN DEAD???? He’s been crucifying the evil 1% since day1, saying they haven’t paid their fair share…Obama’s rants are the main reason behind the Occupy movement…he wants to tax the hell out of the rich & give it to the poor in more food stamps & welfare payments!!!! Only a commie/socialist would bailout GM , instead of letting them go bankrupt, & he screwed so many Non-union workers…your compassionate interloper!!! he’s got no soul this man!!!

      • Jeff

        And you would have done what – allow the entire US auto industry to disappear?

      • KENYAN KRUSHER

        I would have done what Ron Paul suggested…STOP rewarding failure, especially with taxpayer money & let new people come in & make a better car for less cost…this is the way it’s supposed to work…there are plenty of entreprenuers that could do it!!

      • KENYAN KRUSHER

        The unions, especially the public ones are sucking the blood out of our economies…the reason GM keeps failing is their union benefits are tool large…nothing has changed, because the Interloper takes care of his own..mark my words in 2-3 years, they will need another does of taxpayer money to survive!!!

      • Jeff

        Well, I’m conversing with someone named Kenyan Krusher, so clearly my brain must not be operating at its full potential. Are you a wrestler? Do you have a costume? does it have a white hood?

        I’d like to Allen West a shot at Oval Office….oh, I forgot , according to the Libs, if a black man is Conservative, he’s not really black!!!

        (“Where is the evidence linking Obama to Hitler?………..Who is feeding you this crap”?)

      • Jeff

        It’s called the sane world. You know, that place across the tracks where people don’t ask you to prove a negative when they have no evidence for their own idiocies.

        Obama to Hitler ties ??? You are “F’n” nuts !!!!!! as are many comments.

      • HH

        I didn’t say there were “ties” need-more-brains, I said there were similarities just like the Lincoln and Kennedy assassination. You know, things like “both successors were named Johnson” “Booth shot Lincoln in a theater and ran to a book store or something like that” “Oswald shot Kennedy from a book store and ran to a theater” …. stuff like that, Obama has done things “similar” to what Hitler did, NOT that there are any “ties”! Read some pre-war German history on Hitler and learn something for a change!

      • needfulthings

        Similarities , there are thousands of those things all over dee internet, FUN but means ZERO! …. Bertha Butt has many of those similaries but I’m gonna still bone her untill I see red in her eyes! Relax will ya !!!!!

        That’s the problem with this country, all you folks are TOO relaxed and are letting the government take over! That’s NOT what our founding fathers envisioned. I won’t “relax” until we have a wholesale player change in Washington, taxes are made fair, illegals are run out of OUR country, we start using OUR oil and not another country’s and we bring manufacturing back here!

      • HH

        jeff said, “…..my brain must not be operating at its full potential”.

        That’s what’s wrong with Obama supporters, their brains aren’t functioning properly……… of course some of them don’t have the cranial capacity to function properly in the first place……… AND they have the right to vote! Now that’s scary!!!

    What If The Media Actually Told The Truth?

    I got a partial answer to that question, president darth cheney and his right hand meat puppet dubya, rummy, wolfowitz and others in that administration would all be in jail for WAR CRIMES. Several top and mid-level Banksters would also be in jail. The Dems would have the econnomy humming and we’d all be work’n and most would still be in their homes.

    • OOOOPPert EEEEpert

      I tell you the worst war crime in the last 25 years & that is Obama’s KILL LIST….labeling every adult male in an area a legit target, without any evidence!!!! But, if Bush did that …OH, BOY!!!!THEY’D CRUCIFY HIM !!!!

      From “A History of Money and Banking in the United States” by Murray Rothbard:
      “In early 1933, Mary Harriman Rumsey, sister of Averell, decided to
      establish a major pro-New Deal newspaper to offset the Republican ownership
      of the bulk of the press. She, Averell, and their friend and associate
      Vincent Astor, tried to buy the near-bankrupt Washington Post, but
      were beaten out by Eugene Meyer, who was looking for a satisfying post
      after leaving the Federal Reserve Board in the early days of the Roosevelt
      administration. The trio then established the weekly news magazine
      Today, bringing in former New Deal brain truster Raymond Moley as editor,
      and, in a couple of years, merged with, and took control over, the
      influential weekly, Newsweek”.

  • Ogrrre

    There is one correction you need to make to your essay: Obama gutted 714 Billion (with a B), not 700 million, from Medicare. If the media reported the truth, instead of being cheerleaders for Obama, Obama would have been impeached and removed from office a long time ago… that is, if Representatives and Senators actually lived up to their oaths of office. Obama has abused power so many times, from his rule by decree to his defiance of court orders, that he should be impeached, convicted and removed from office. Of course, that would leave us with president Biden. Biden is as incompetent as Obama, but he wouldn’t be able to play the race card when he received opposition or criticism.

    • Tammy Hitchcock

      I AGREE, and at this point, I wouldn’t mind to see the both of them, that little man Harry Reid, and that ignorant woman Nancy Pelosi as well, liars are liars and these are some of the worst. I completely agree with your point, the media has sold out the American people to the highest bidder. My problem is: where is the GOP leadership on all these unconstitutional executive mandates, many, if not all are impeachable offenses. After, we change course this election cycle, we need to start working on changing all these phony establishment types in the GOP. I cannot take the lack of backbone or intestinal fortitude! Hey, Boehner, McConnell and the rest of the old establishment types “Grow a Pair!”

He is a communist, a socialist, anything but an American!!!! If Americans don’t wake up, we will be under communist or socialistic rule! God help us!

      • Gordon

        Nobody noticed. A couple weeks ago congress gave obama permission to hire 170 more czars without congressional oversight.

      • HH

        Oh I saw it Gordon, that “do nothing” congress passed it off to Obama saying that they were ALL low level positions.

        Senator Leiberman said, “…..future Administrations will be able to get their teams in place more quickly, and the Senate will be able focus its time and energy on the most important Executive Branch appointments. In no way does this bill erode the Senate’s role of “advice and consent.” Rather, it strengthens the Senate’s power by freeing us up to concentrate on nominees who will actually shape national policy.”

        Leiberman is a complete idiot, this now gives Obama the legal right to hire who he wants without approval from the senate.

        Follow the link below to see the list, it may surprise you.

        http://www.alipac.us/f11/obama-signs-congress-approved-bill-giving-him-more-power-262903/

        We need to compare this list of positions to where all that ammo is going because it looks like a lot of the positions Obama can hire (without senate approval) are in the same offices where all that ammo is going!

        If you don’t think something fishy is going on…… THINK AGAIN!

      • OOOOPPert EEEEpert

      Ummmm….about that claim concerning Medicare. Just how much exactly is taken away from the Trust Fund under Pres. Obama’s plan? Need help? ZERO. Nothing is taken from the Medicare Trust Fund. It added another eight years to the life of the Trust Fund ! The $700 billion figure comes from savings in payment restructuring, shifting a lot of the care and procedures to Obamacare requirements, and limiting duplication of records and procedures.

      Romney’s Plan guts the trust fund as does the Ryan under his fiasco of a Plan. Under the most optimistic forecasts, Romney’s Plan busts Medicare by 2020. And they want vouchers..which they promise would be increased with inflation (such increases would, of course, be predictable and not lag a year until the inflation numbers come in. note they both say “inflation” and fail to specify what Index they’d use…and they make it a point to not state tied to actual increases in health care costs)

      Jeesh….

        Now… what index are they tying the vouchers to for inflation?
        How much will those vouchers pay using today’s costs?
        what will be the minimum standards insurance companies will have to offer?
        Will they protect against pre-existing illness/condition?

        If it comes to that, do you expect that docs will have a choice? There are always methods to deal with those who decline to cooperate with the state.

        Point well taken!! for those who think there is no difference, or little difference between Obozo & Mittens…think about this Obozocare horror!!!

    in reality the press is supposed to be the bearer of transparency and the watch dog of freedom;; instead they perpetrate the deception; it is unusual for the press/media to already be Marxists; most dick-taters have to shut down the free press and replace it with minions of the STATE;; AMERICA’S media-lunes are already a willing accomplice.

    • OOOOPPert EEEEpert

      EXCELLENT POINT !!!

    • eddie47d

      Okay Robert if you feel that way then where is an honest news outlet who will be truthful ? Could it be that you want to hear only your own opinion and if you don’t someone out there has to be lying?

        If an news outlet is strictly Conservative or strictly Liberals then they lose their credibility in telling the truth.

      • DaveH

        It’s pretty easy to tell if a report is biased, Eddie. If it’s a controversial story (and most news stories are) they will present both sides rigorously.

      • DaveH

        And if they don’t, most likely they’re presenting a biased point of view.

      It is a symptom of the universities,and the media/academia drive to socialiize the nation.
      It is what has been taught by foreign nationals in our higher schools of learning and it has been adopted by an entire generation.
      It is Marxism…..plain and simple.
      Why else would pictures of Che Guevara,be worn on the shirts of many of the youth of the nation?
      They arent learning this stuff at home people!
      It is all done at the educational centers.That is where we must begin the purge,if a purge is going to be undertaken.
      Otherwise you are effectively pissing in the wind.
      If you fix today on the surface what many have molded for decades in the schools,you will have succeeded in dooming your nation.
      Romney may seem like he is capable of making a start,but the reality is that unless you purge the communists from the universities,you will never fix the progressive socialist disease which is gripping the nation.
      You think that you can switch leaders and suddenly everything will work out for the better?
      Try that and see how it goes for you.
      When you finally decide to turn back to God,and forsake the brainwashing that the progressives have foisted on you for decades,then you may have a chance of saving your nation!
      You foolish people!Cant you see that the damage has been done in the minds of the youth?
      Do you not care for the youth of the nation and only seek to be able to return to your ways of greed and corruption?
      Where are your minds?
      You are not seeing the disease but seeking to put a band-aid on a perpetually bleeding wound.
      How can you hope to fix the malaise in your midst?
      You ignore God,and you can put blinders on and think that because you cant see the big picture,you have fixed the problem.
      But you havent diagnosed the condition correctly.So you are going to die from the disease anyway.
      How can you fix anything if you ignore the condition that needs your attention?
      That is why you doom yourselves……you stubbornly refuse to move into the light.You want to stay in the shadows and hope for a good outcome.
      Fix education…..put God back in it.
      Then you can move to get rid of the rest of the problems,otherwise you are defeating yourselves beofre the battle is given!
      But what do I know?
      Apparently very little……
      Cheers!
      -CC.

      • Gordon

        Ron Paul will perot-ize this election.

        You can vote for Principles or Not. Don’t expect the Not to yield Principled Politicians.

  • OOOOPPert EEEEpert

    For the first time, I’m starting to actually believe Obama will lose…..except when things get desperate, they might try to steal the damn thing, with George Soros’s Spanish-owned company, SCYTL, in charge of voting machines in several key states, of course, one cannot steal an election unless it is close, and it may not be close enough!

    As has been debated many times on these sites & articles, those in the know, know that Obama & Romney are 2 sides of the same coin….but still to me, Romney’s side has has more value, much more potential to do good, we’ve seen what our Godless Emperor has done & it’s damn repulsive!!!….Yes, he is the lesser of 2 evils, but less evil is better!

    • Polski

      Steal the damn thing, you mean like Dubya/Cheney……..

      • OOOOPPert EEEEpert

        No one stole anything….Gore the Bore had a 20 point lead on Bush before the 2 debates, after first, he was down to ten, after second they were tied, American people saw the phony Gore is & still is as he continues to make a killing on global warming while lighting up his mansion in Tennessee & flying all over the world with his bogus claims, but he won’t debate Lord Monckton…I wonder how many illegal aliens voted for Gore????

        Al Franken, NOW, that was a stolen election & helped get OBUMMERCARE through!!

      • eddie47d

        Bush came across as a down home Texas kind of guy and fooled everyone. Now how is the Patriotic Act working out for you or those two major wars that are costing us dearly. Maybe that collasped economy impresses you more and G Bush was supposed to have had so much business experience. Heck he fooled you twice (actually more times than that). Now you are gloating for Romney who they say has that same business experience so are you going to be fooled a third time OOOOOPT! I could care less if you don’t vote for Obama yet it looks like you have bought into the Republican kool aid. Drink Up!

      • OOOOPPert EEEEpert

        was Bush worse than Obozo? At least the Repubs. are Pro-life..& traditional marriage…and I firmly believe that making it legal & easier to snuff out innocent life in the womb & let homosexuals marry, brings terrible karma to the nation…nations are like individuals, they have souls, they make karma good & bad, too & are judged!

      • needfulthings

        Bush worse than Obama? By a million light years, remember the depression started under dubya, so what didn’t he fix it before leaving office/ He had two years to do it, everyone knew in 2007 what was hppening, dubya GAVE two big tax cuts + a cut in capital gains to the wealthy and what happen? Wheres the beef? Actually people in the the know seen the direction the econnmy was headed at the end of 04 after all jobs were disappearing at a high rate by then.
        YES YES dubya the worse prez of ALL TIMES !!!!

      • OOOOPPert EEEEpert

        You leave out some pertinent facts….the whole thing collapsed because of giving out houses to those who could not afford them, a brilliant liberal commie agenda…OBama went into banks to shamefully intimidate them into giving out mortgages to the poor folk & acorn & fannie mae & freddie mac & the CRA under Carter, ratcheted up under Clinton & is still going on with Holder & His DOJ threatening to sue banks who don’t bow to his racist commie ideology!! Bush actually got before Congress & told Fannie & Freddie to fix things, but remember Schumer & Frank saying there is no problem?? The Dems are in deep do-do with fannie & freddie. Dodd-Frank will fix nothing or stop another bailout..it has actually made things worse

        Then Wall St. ran with the football, made easier with the repeal of the Glass-Steagall Act & gee, who got rid of that? Clinton it was !!!

        Most of this mess was caused by Liberal, progressive BS

      • Daveh234

        OOOOPPert EEEEpert has proof that the election was won by voter fraud?

      • eddie47d

        The left is very Pro-Life for they believe each and every woman has control over her own body and shouldn’t be forced to have sex or forced to have children. Yes the right believe that is mandatory according to the Bible. “to be fruitful and multiply” . There are even some Republicans who believe that rape is legitimate,including Huckabee and Byran Fischer. I don’t always buy into the morals of the left or right and alot depends on who is doing the most controlling. The same with same sex marriage or civil unions. The right is adamant about denying certain people equal rights and always have been. That makes them the more controlling of other peoples lives on both those issues.

      • HH

        eddie, the LEFT has ALWAYS had their rights but now they are pushing it off on those of us who believe it is immoral and trying to make us accept their behavior.

        Notice this from Vote Fraud report above:
        “The commission reported that vote fraud does exist, and that an increase in government agency staffing was necessary to properly investigate and prosecute vote fraud”.
        Oh yeah, More Government, the perpetual solution to all that ails us.
        Their solutions were better than nothing, but still weak. I haven’t seen any of the Vote Fraud accusers come up with anything remotely as robust as the system I’ve proposed here several times. It would be easy to set up, robust, and above all — Very Transparent.
        Using Database technology:
        We could have two databases for each election. One database would store the ‘voter information’ (Identification, address, polling place, etc.). And the other database would store the ‘votes cast’ with a unique alphanumeric ID which would be given to each voter at the polling place. The polling place would also be stored on this database to identify problem polling places. Only the voter would know his alphanumeric ID so secrecy would be preserved. And the voter would be given a printout to verify how he/she voted.
        The database would be accessible by the public. Anyone or any organization could check the ‘voter information’ database to see if any illegal voters cast votes. The votes in the ‘votes cast’ database could be easily tallied by anyone to see if votes were counted correctly and that the number of votes matched the number of voters in the ‘voter information’ database. Also, an individual voter would be able to check his alphanumeric ID to see that his votes are in the database correctly, and if not, he/she could notify the proper authorities or the proper news media. The ‘votes’ database could be corrected periodically to account for any corrections that were made by citizens claiming their votes were not entered correctly, or votes discovered to be made by dead people, convicts, etc.
        It would be virtually impossible for officials to alter the databases without being detected since thousands or even millions of people would be checking it to make sure their votes were entered correctly.

      • DaveH

        By the way, don’t hold your breath for this event to happen. The last thing the PTBs want is a Robust Transparent Voting System.

      • Gordon

        Come on Needful. even your great Democrat icon stated that it takes 10 yrs to destroy and economy and 10 years to restore one. Count the years? When did the downward trend start? Bush just got there in a good time….. as for facts, go you tube and put in David Walker, head of the GAO under Clinton. He paid for his own videos and speaking and states that the Clinton budget was a fraud, and the nation was drowning in budget deficite and the economy going into the tube….. Clinton lied and Bush inherited the mess.

      • Flashy

        DaveH….just exactly how many cases of voter fraud by a voter has been uncovered? C’mon…walk the talk Sparky. (here’s a hint…in every case brought against the restrictive Voter ID laws…not one state has been able to document a case of voter fraud. That help you any?)

        Election fraud is not by a voter…it’s by the election officials. If the GOP/TP/American taliban was actually interested in stopping election fraud and not by rigging elections, intimidating and lowering the odds of everyone having a say in this direction this country will take..would they not be attacking the source of actual election fraud?

      • Ted Crawford

        Did you fail to notice that the recount, funded by the Media, according to Al Gores criteria, proved that Bush would have won by an even larger margin than he officially did, recount- 1665– Official- 537 ?

      • Walt14

        Keep in mind that if Gore had won the election like the exit polls had shown he would–and with more Americans voting for him over Bush II–it is doubtful that there would ever have been a 9/11 and its sequela. Anyone who remembers 2000 knows that GW Bush was looked upon as a joke when he was elected with his mispronunciation and ignorance of foreign affairs, and especially laughed at in Europe and the Middle East. We were most vulnerable. Gore would have known to take seriously those warnings that Bush ignored–especially in view of the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center that occurred during the Clinton-Gore era.

        Polski, wow, I guess you can’t read either, Gore and friends some from Chicago try to steal the election by using Chicago style tactic’s but, it didn’t work, so go cry somewhere where someone really care’s, maybe Poland or Russia, China would really like you, robots are the norm there.

      • macgyver1948

        Benjamin Fox… You say “ Gore and friends some from Chicago try to steal the election by using Chicago style tactic’s but, it didn’t work…”. I missed the parts about Gore but I understand when an stolen election is thrown about.

        Speaking of Gore… and the Gore-GW bush election, the thing that got GW his first term as President. Did you know Gore actually won the popular vote and it was stolen from the majority of voters? That is what the Electoral College can do, steal the value of our votes. So we got the punk bush instead and all the debt he brought on us. And I will always blame bush for all the deaths and woundings of our troops he sent in his immoral invasion of Iraq. :-) .

        Most important the bush caused war deaths – http://antiwar.com/casualties/

        Let’s be reminded of the bush war costs, to us, with http://costofwar.com/ .

        So when we speak of “stolen” elections let’s never forget the biggest we have had in a long time by forgetting GW bush so we can remember all he has done for us. History sucks when you do not want to learn from it or remember it because you have different agendas. It is also tough to convince people of your agenda when there is history. Maybe that is why the Right doesn’t want people to remember history so well.

      • macgyver1948

        Benjamin Fox… By the way, before the stolen election by the electoral college for bush in the Gore-bush race, during the voting process there were the hanging chads in Florida and Diebold Voting machines which were proven to give more Republican responses no matter who was voted for. Talk about stolen elections. How did those things happen, did Gore do that? Just something to think about.

    • CRAXXYFREDDIE

      i GOTTA SAY THIS > BECAUSE i MEAN IT > i DO BELIEVE THIS ELECTION IS already fixed ! . it reminds me of when Clinton got re elected i could not find any one who voted for him ! So what in the hell happened . ??? It will be the same way this time !!

      • Tag

        You didn’t ask me! Yep, I voted for him and I’d vote for him again. He might have the morals of an ally cat but he was a good president – I’ve never seen a successful black in office yet!

        Both the Clinton’s are still very popular Freddie no matter how far you run from that fact. One thing for sure its hard to find anyone who even wants to vote anymore. It’s like, Gee do I really have to vote for either of these guys!

      • http://N/A CintiCB

        You’re, probably, correct about the election being ‘fixed’. Desperate people do desperate things, so, I’m VERY afraid that if it can’t be adequately ‘fixed’ that they’ll resort to their other option (as they see it)-just kill the opposition. I’m surprised that it hasn’t already happened. They wouldn’t even have to ‘get their hands dirty’. Holder can get his black panther homies to do it for them, he’ll just pardon them as he did with the voter intimidation, that was captured on video! Oh man, ARE WE IN TROUBLE!!!!!

        “Both the Clinton’s are still very popular Freddie no matter how far you run from that fact.”

        And ignorance is bliss!

        Truth be known and some facts about the Clintons. We all know of Bill’s escapades in the White House…”I did not have sexual relations with that woman” Clinton was strenuously denying his affair with White House intern Monica Lewinsky at a January press conference, Clinton was later impeached by the House of Representatives for lying about the matter under oath. Unfortunatly the votes needed in the senate to impeach Clinton weren’t there

        Who could forget this one while from his testimony in front of a Grand Jury, “”That depends on what the meaning of ‘is’ is.”

        The Paula Jones lawsuit.

        Bill Clinton is widely considered the most investigated President ever.
        http://www.historyplace.com/unitedstates/impeachments/clinton.htm

        ***Bill Clinton: Bill Clinton, unlike U.S. Senate candidate Todd Akin, has never misspoken on the subject of rape. In fact, he is somewhat of an authority on the subject.

        Clinton knows just what a woman who has been raped should do. As he told Juanita Broaddrick in that Little Rock hotel room some years back, “You better get some ice on that.”

        Broaddrick was not alone in being sexually abused by Clinton. Indeed, in the Ken Starr investigation, Broaddrick emerged as “Jane Doe No. 5.”

        Broaddrick was likely not unique in being raped by Clinton either. In his book, “Uncovering Clinton: A Reporter’s Story,” Michael Isikoff relates how Clinton, then Arkansas governor, had sex with former Miss America Elizabeth Ward Gracen.

        ***Hillary Clinton: “One of the major intellectual influences on Hillary Rodham Clinton – perhaps an emotional one was well – was radical social philosopher and activist Saul Alinsky. As this story shows, Alinsky was both the ladder Hillary climbed to gain new perspectives on society – specifically the poor – and then, once there, a ladder she tossed aside when she no longer needed it.”

        “Alinsky recognized her talents as an organizer during the Wellesley period and offered her a significant position after college. He didn’t offer these jobs to many women, nor did he offer them without a serious, often disturbing assessment of the person’s abilities.”

        Freddie:

        Go outside your own little echo chamber. In California, even the Republicans talked about how they couldn’t see voting for Bob Dole. Same now. If you’re in a red state you may not know anyone who supports Obama. In the Blue areas of the Blue states, Romney is a non-starter. Fortunately, Oklahoma is not the whole world.

        CraxxyFreddie; I agree, they will vote the dead as always, set the machines not to count the Romney votes, vote all the illegals without ID’s and the prison immates, a few animals with human names, it is there way, win at any cost, no honor, evil in all there ways, when you see what they stand for it shows, killed 56 million babies, homosexuals with special rights, let them propagandize our children into trying the life style, a 75 % divorce rate, no wonder the kids don’t have a direction? Christians under attack from the ACLU that was started by a communist. This country has become so evil in most of it’s ways that I’m sure we like Roman Empire won’t be a power much longer.

    • DaveH

      OOOOPPert says — “Yes, he is the lesser of 2 evils, but less evil is better!”.
      Better would be to vote for Principle, not Evil at all.
      With Evil we will continue to see Government grow Bigger, while our Freedom and Prosperity grow Smaller. If slow enough, many people will go back to their slumber; the oldsters who actually have some experience with Freedom will be gone; and others (especially the young and the dependent) will grow used to the Loss of Freedom and just won’t know any better (the Overton Window). The Enslavers will have finally won their 150 year Quest to destroy the rare miracle that our Founders created.
      Take the rings out of your noses. The Lesser of Two Evils choice will always be there until you quit falling for the Bankers’ scams and start Voting for Principles.

        Also as all Political thearter is controlled down to the nano, what you see or hear or even think is what your told to do; nothing more nor less.
        If Americans would start thinking about the Ramifications of placing EVIL in power, be they lesser of not. Perhaps then positive things could bloom yet again, saddly thats not going to happen in our lifetime.

        What will happen is that its going to get far worse and then even more so, and even more so – until the chains that bind you are visible to even the most blind among us.

        Make sure you read the link I posted above, as well. They go together.

        American’s are totally unprepared. Unsuspecting. Stupid.

        to Kate 8 Your link to the coming attack sounds like something the republicans would dream up. Anonomous ?? Won’t name names ??? What the hell. Sounds like BS to me, and it probably is.

      • Kate8

        So, Sheryn, why do you think the Russian troops are here on maneuvers? Why do you suppose Obama invited them here? This has never happened before in all of US history.

        Are you too young to remember the Soviet promise after the cold war? “WE WILL BURY YOU”. And they have been following an incremental plan to corrupt and collapse American society. And, Obama is a product of the Soviets. Why do you think he can’t disclose where he came from?

        Open your eyes, girl. This isn’t about Right and Left. That is a smokescreen. It’s about freedom vs tyranny. It is, in fact, about life and death. Ours.

      • DaveH

        He lost me with this statement, Kate:
        “Contrary to what the clinically psychotic in America believe, U.S. Presidents before Obama have never committed “false flag” attacks against their own nation”.
        We know for a fact that the Lucitania was carrying contraband when the Germans sunk it.
        We also know beyond any reasonable doubt that FDR let 2400 military people die so he could get into WWII:
        http://library.mises.org/books/Percy%20L%20Greaves,%20Jr/Pearl%20Harbor%20The%20Seeds%20and%20Fruits%20of%20Infamy.pdf
        Once I read such a blatantly false statement, the author’s credibility is gone with me.

      • macgyver1948

        DaveH… We in no way know Obama committed a false flag, There are strong rumors that the Bush people did with 911 but I doubt that will be proven for the next 200 years. We think The JFK, Bobby, and MLK associations were also false flags but those too we wont be able to prove. As for FDR knowing about the attack on Pearl Harbor. He may or may not have known but, I kind of hate it if he did, but for the reasons he might have.

        The Far Right Nazi Government of Germany had many subs off our east coast. Also FDR knew we should have gotten into WW2 long before we did as Hitler was consuming Europe and we were begged to join. Since then we knew Hitler didn’t want us in the war until his war with Russia was a done deal, him the victor of course. I remember reading Hitler was pissed at Japan for getting us in before he was ready to invade America…

        The main reason we took so long for getting into WW2, beside the peace nicks, was all the Corporate pressure for us not to get involved because a good number of big American Corporations were doing big business with Hitler. They didn’t want to lose all that money they were making with their buddy Adolf. More, not that we needed more, reason to not trust corporations as the Founders warned.

        So if FDR did know the Japanese were going to attack Pearl Harbor FDR may have saved the very lives and soul of Americanism after that “day that will live in infamy”. Oh, and you might be speaking German now if Adolf allowed your parents, or grand parents, to live.

      • DaveH

        From a reputable person:
        “Wilson, like Polk, Lincoln, and McKinley before him, deceitfully made it appear that the alleged enemy started the war by firing the first shot. The German embassy warned Secretary of State Bryan that the British passenger ship, the Lusitania, was carrying illegal weapons and munitions, and was therefore a proper and perfectly legal target for submarines. Secretary of State William Jennings Bryan tried to get Wilson to warn Americans not to sail on this ship but he refused to do so, seeing that the opportunity for the loss of American lives would present him with an apparent reason for entering the war. Wilson failed to give the warning and Bryan later resigned. Over one hundred Americans were killed when a German submarine sank the Lusitania”.

      OK. Lets suppose Romney and Obama come even. Then the Electoral College will decide. In case the EC can not due it and drag the results, then the Chief Justices will decide, and remember, they are leftists/liberals or whatever. This is going to be a Circus. Also The President IS NOT ELECTED by popular vote. Clinton had only 2% of the popular vote, but the EC give Him the Presiidency. Clinton was the 3rd. Pres that didn’t win with popular vote, but elected by the Electoral College. Think abut it.

      yes you are right, obama may loose, but he is capable of having the election stolen to his benenfit. There is talk about the UN troops comming invasion to US cities and most people don’t believe that this can happen. Texas is getting to fight and defend their land, I believe that this could be marital law, their is a executive order in place as of Dec 12 2011 and it is in the internet look for it and you will find it, is there.

    The first casualty in war is the truth…and obama/soetero has declared open war on america as visualized by it’s founders and preserved by the blood sweat and tears of her Patriots…
    all the while he and his partisan media buddies (his greatest contributors/supporters are the same six major ‘corporations’ that own and control the media) aid and abet Americas enemies.

        Dear Eddie,

        How about this – You Prove anything Dan noted as “Un Truthfull” as you noted – what you will find is – You can’t.

        There are only “6 mass media” owners – oddly they all back Barry Sotoro or what ever his name may be, hey they even backed your really good friends the Bush’s too.

        Guess what eles the mass media is controled by the same few “UBER WEALTHY familys.” You know – the very ones you like to tell everyone about all the TIME that{ 2%,} its really only about .05 % but hey we will all forgive your inability to get the number’s right.
        You Have a nice day, :-)

        Newspapers and other media outlets are owned and controlled by very wealthy conservative moguls. I don’t see this continuous assumption that the average outlet is dishonest and can’t tell the truth. Picking out exceptions doesn’t prove a thing and most “lies” are exposed and corrected. Glenn Beck twisted the truth on each and every show but that doesn’t mean that FOX is just as dishonest as he was. The same with any other show with commentators. Those shows put out opinions as personal views not as proven facts. You can take it or leave it but it is not news in the traditional sense. I also don’t agree with Dan that Obama or the media is aiding and abetting our enemies and that was nothing more than his low brow opinion.

        Please forgive me for being late in my reply. We have family members who have alzheimer’s so we have been really beyond busy with countless issues that this illness entails.

        Saddly this thread today By Mr. Root is really quite accurate, as the Mass Media has been so malicious to the world population. In my humble opinion these people are a “Billion times worse” than the NWO people.

        If the Mass Media told the TRUTH rather than the worthless road apples they claim is NEWS, the worlds population would at least have a fighting chance! As it is the media are no differant than the NAZI’S.

        Just in case some of you are not up on this, most of these BUTT HEADS you watch on the TV news like say that jackass O’Riely who makes over mid Eight figures per year telling you worthless lies daily, plus the “MASSIVE – perks.”

        I only note this Jackass due to many on this sight think is so damm special, yet in truth is is far worse that any of the others jackass’s on TV news as he has abused the people trust in a far more indepth way.

        I can’t for the life of me understand whats holding the system together at this point in TIME.
        My GOD; the veinier is thiner than a single sheet of wet paper with a rip in it.

        eddie, flashy and any other of you left leaning Obama lovin’ liberals out there! I don’t want to believe it any more than you but facts are facts and if you aren’t smart enough to discern fact from fiction then there is truly no hope for you. We are loosing our country so fast it’s making my head spin and I really don’t know why you can’t see it! It’s plain as the nose on your face. Please see it for what it REALLY is and help us defeat this dictator-n-chief, clean OUT the house of representatives and the senate, elect folks who love our constitution and abide by it and bring our country back to the glory we once had! We’ve got to come together to make it happen, AND WE CAN!!!

      • macgyver1948

        HH… The problem is that so many people see “it for what it REALLY is“ differently. If I saw it the ways you see it I would say what you say but I do not. So many in America do not see what you see and I know so many do. The many who do not see it your ways are also loving Americanism and liberty and the Constitution as it was meant to be.

        I want to clean out the house and senate and replace them with those who will work for what is best for all of us and not just for themselves and the very wealthy. The wealthy need support too, so do we need business but all that not at the middle and lower classes expense. I want Government reform, as I have said here before. I want the Government agencies reforms too, not only the law makers and enforcers. We all have to stand together to make that happen and we have to put hate and fantasy aside because they will just get in our way. The important thing is to get our country back for all of us in the intended American way.

        If you do not like Obama, for example, stop telling others to hate him and let’s work on getting who will do the job right for us in there – together. We are doing the dividing and being conquered to ourselves thing and we might be doing that for the powers that be. I bet they click glasses over that every day. There is no one running against Obama this time who is enough different to help us. Romney will sell us out to the Corporations because he is only of them, and himself. You say Obama has his strings owed to others too so where do we stand with that? No one else is there to win. We better get going all of us together with this so our kids and grand kids will have what the Founders wanted for them and us but it might not be this time I fear.

        As you ended your post “We’ve got to come together to make it happen, AND WE CAN!!!”, Oh yes we can, :-) .

        if we deported illegals, obama would have to go, went to school as a citizen of another nation, got grants that way so he would be the first to go. I say term limits for all elected officals and no retirement after the term, elected to serve, not a life time living off the people,

        Benjamin Fox… If we get rid of the EPA will will be cloud deep in all kinds of pollutions. I believe the EPA should be toned down a bit but without regulations corporations will again be able to do so much more with less. Less concern for the environment because those concerns raises their expenses and that is one of the big things the GOP is fighting to protect – lower corporate expenses.

        In neither of these do you address the presidency. I know that you think he’s doing a stand up job because you only want to replace the HR and the HS members.

        You wouldn’t address the fact that BHO has torn down the constitution though you profess to be a defender of it. Do you not know of all the unconstitutional things he’s done? I guess you’re willing to overlook those for whatever reason.

        And then Ben mentioned that BHO got foreign grants to go to college and the only topic you can address is the EPA?

        And about the EPA, there was a news release recently of the EPA going to an ice cream parlor in full military uniforms with guns and keeping everyone away from this little ice cream parlor. The parlor’s “sin” was not getting a building permit before adding some little addition to their place. I didn’t even know EPA had military uniforms and guns to do that with until that article. But with all of the other info about the coming attacks, that makes perfect sense that it was another drill they were doing.

        Did you not think that the jets sent through the streets of downtown NYC when BHO first got into office was strange? His “reasoning” was that it was time to upgrade pictures. I thought the satellites could do that just fine. They take pictures of my little house out in the forest and can even show the cars in the yard.

        Do you not realize that if something doesn’t make sense the way that it’s explained, it’s because it’s a lie and covering for something people wouldn’t like?

        And that incident terrorized the people of NYC after what they’d gone through. Doesn’t that seem sadistic to you because it ++++ sure does to me.

        And then that boat on the Potomac when he was making his speech. Another drill to see how people would react and what could be gotten away with.

        By your not addressing BHO in any way, it shows you’re unable to unwilling to get your head out of the sand.

      • Jeff

        Tell us “how it was meant to be.” We could eliminate the Supreme Court and you could just rule on how things should be. From the right perspective of course. Things should be exactly as they were in (fill in the year you turned 18).

      • OOOOOPPPert EEEEPert

        You mean the Supreme Court led by gutless & brainless Roberts who was so worried about his legacy that he re-wrote a law for Congress & then deemed it constitutional? The same Roberts who let the govt. write the law as a penalty, but let them argue in court it was a tax? The same Roberts who let Kagan sit in judgment of the case even though she was involved in writing it so it can defended as legal? The same Roberts who would not allow arguments calling for her recusal??

      • Elaine

        Jeff,
        That wasn’t what I was saying. I copied those. My response was at the bottom in regards to BHO.

        I shouldn’t have tried to reference two of macgyver’s blogs or included part of what he was responding to. But tell me why you got none of what I was saying. Probably because you’re the same as macgyver and refuse to address the problem of BHO, who was not a citizen, did not have a legitimate SS # and has had at least 7 illegitimate ones, has spent millions hiding even his school records, and can’t tell the truth or even salute our flag. Is that a president someone who would defend our constitution would have? I think not. It’s not anyone I want as a president and to me, he is a fraud and usurper, whose name we don’t even know.

      • Jeff

        Where do you get this stuff from? Do you really think Glenn Beck has access to information others don’t? If these stories had any credibility, every newspaper and TV station would be running with them. As it is, only the wingnut press will touch these stories because they are inherently nutty.

      • Liberty Lover

        Glenn Beck and Breitbart’s organization routinely get information before the mainstream media, partly because the mainstream isn’t interested in obtaining news that might damage prospects for their annointed one. The MSM often try to ignore the news unearthed by Beck and Breitbart, but sometimes are unable to do so. I think Beck and Breitbart, with their talking truth to power, deserve to share a Pulitzer Prize for reporting.

      • KENYAN KRUSHER

        He’s 100% right, Jeff !!!!!!

      • Jeff

        Breitbart’s specialty was creative editing. He was nothing but a liar. He’d take your 2nd and 4th sentences, ignore 1 and 3, take them out of context and make it sound like you’d said the exact opposite of what your actual meaning was. The only story he got right was the Anthony Weiner thing – only because he didn’t need to lie.

        Beck’s specialty is paranoid fantasies, none of which has been shown to have any basis in reality.

      • KENYAN KRUSHER

        Beck & Brietbart are the bombs…TRUE PATRIOTS !!!!

      • Liberty Lover

        I wish Beck’s expectations were truly paranoia. He would not be the huge success he is today if his past forecasts of future developments were not among the most accurate out there. And Breitbart had more integrity in his little finger than most reporters have in their entire being.

      • KENYAN KRUSHER

      • KENYAN KRUSHER

        Elaine is right as rain !!! WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!

      • macgyver1948

        Elaine…Wow lady, you are a piece of work with your TEA like thinking. I cannot mention every agency in what I say. I didn’t think I needed to mention the presidency since that post is already limited to two terms – since FDR. And if you had an open and observing mind you would see from me in different posts I do not see Obama as perfect.

        These are relatively small posts and EVERYTHING cannot be addressed so why do TEA thinkers go after what was not mentioned in a post? I didn’t mention the IRS either so why didn’t your bring them up? I do, numerous times, say The EPA needs to be reworked, did you miss that? How about the Ways and Means Committee, why didn’t you bring that up and what it needs to work better for us? On and on, why didn’t you bring up every damn Government office that needs to be reworked or eliminated sine I some how didn’t mention them either? The FDA, now I write about them often but not here lately but the FDA works for the Drug and Food Companies and not us, why didn’t you mention them? You TEA thinkers are a piece of work with your hate for “any who are not with you or agree with you” comments. Not very accepting of others rights when it comes to their opinions and not very American of you either.

        Then you assume so much. How do you know I didn’t wonder about the planes flying over NYC? Are you a TEA mind reader too? You would be wrong in that NYC thing but that just goes to show you guys should get out of the mind reading and assumption game because you are really lousy at them. It really is as though you guys are scripted in with your TEA mind programming because you all sound the same, very negative and insulting. Why is that, is it because you can;t think for your selves or you do not want to?. You guys would be a funny joke if this wasn’t so serious. Notice I am not saying you are a member of the Tea Party, only that you are a TEA thinker whether you are a card carrier or not.

        Stop assuming I think Obama is perfect but you can know I feel he is so much better and safer for the country, the middle class, the elderly and retired, minorities and women than anyone who is running. For now Romney is the only one who has a chance to beat Obama but he and Ryan will BAIN the you know what out of us. They are strictly for the very wealthy and the big corporation because Romney will stick with his own kind and we aren’t them.

        Even when it comes to Religion he has no respect for other religions that aren’t closely aligned with his beliefs. So much for Freedom Of Religion for him. He has shown great insult and disrespect for Jews with his response to the question “have you ever participated in the baptisms of dead Jews?”. His response was “it has been a long time”. I do not trust him for his lack of religious respect for others, his ways of being a businessman (that being firing many people and gutting companies he bought around the country for the purpose of making himself and his big investors loads of money and saying “it was all in the name of good business”). He says that is the kind of businessman we need in the oval office. That and the suspicious people from south of our borders whom he took money from when he was trying to start Bain, because he had way to hard a time getting Americans to back him, leaves his character under more suspicion. This is a alternative to Obama? WOW, he is so wrong for politics in our country and he proved that more as Governor with his outsourcing jobs then and his ObamaCare like health care plan. Without going into detail there is much Romney and GOP, from the 1990s GOP attempts for national health care, in ObamaCare and Obama didn’t want those failures but he was forced to compromise if he wanted his plan pasted by the GOP. Yeah, The GOP threatened to fail ObamaCare if O didn’t include the Romney and GOP stuff. Was it so they could distance themselves from Ocare and say “look how bad ObamaCare is for our country”? I hope Obama will clean out the GOP stuff in his second term.

        Assume all you want about Obama’s intentions but remember you guys are really bad as ASSuming for others.

        That was fun,,, :-)

      • KENYAN KRUSHER

        But yet you ASSume you can see into Romney & Ryan’s heart & soul….You are as blind as a bat!!! You would also make a terrible lawyer, your arguments are pretentious!!

      • macgyver1948

        KENYAN KRUSHER… Nah. I do not ASSume for other people. When it comes to Romney/Ryan, and politicians in general on both sides of the aisle, I go by what they have done and their actions. ASSumptions are usually wrong and I leave that to the TEA-like… You were ASSuming I do that, :-) .

        I wouldn’t be a lawyer because to be one you would have to forget about right and wrong, truth and justice, and just work to win. If it doesn’t matter if your client is innocent or guilty, as they are taught, then what is the point of “ethics” for lawyers? Same thing with politicians, couldn’t be that either because too many are controlled by their party if they want to go on being supported by the party. The constituents are the ones being left out if what they want isn’t supported by what the party wants.

      • HH

        mac, with all due respect PLEASE look at what Obama has ACTUALLY done since he’s been in office! He’s done NOTHING for the groups you speak of! He’s catered to the Homosexual community NOT to the middle class OR the elderly and he’s forgotten the black community all together!

        His record is open for ALL to read, check it out! You’ll see that what I say is so!

        He is trying to disarm the American people with the UN small arms treaty, why? Why are all these minor government offices receiving hundreds of thousands of loads of HOLLOW POINT ammunition? It’s NOT for target practice! Why did the congress give him the power to hire those who would head the agencies that are receiving all that ammunition WITH OUT THEIR APPROVAL???

        I don’t believe Romney is the answer either but 4 more years of Obama and we ALL will be slaves!

        Get over the republican, democrat, tea party crap! Let’s come together and get our country back!!!

      • KENYAN KRUSHER

        WAKE UP, PEOPLE….Obama has done nothing for anyone, but his backers….poor, blacks, illegal immigrants unions, homosexuals, abortionists, feminists,

        He’s crapped on the middle class & the elderly & the young don’t see it now, but he’s ruining their futures….there is no way in Hell, Romney can be worse than this guy!!

        KK HH:

        Yes, there is. Remember W? Imagine his idiotic policies on steroids.

      • KENYAN KRUSHER

        W was much better than Obama…..he did not violate the Constitution every other day

      • Jeff

        List the violations. And why haven’t you brought suit and gotten his actions reversed?

      • KENYAN KRUSHER

        The worst is his KILL LIST, on his own deciding that “any adult male in area of possible drone strike is a legitimate target without any evidence”, illegal under Constitution & against everything this nation stands for… this also is probable WAR CRIME, far worse than anything BUSH ever did!!! How many innocent Pakistanis have been murdered? Pakistan has gone before UN to say this is illegal violation of their sovereignty, remember we are NOT at war with Pakistan, is it any wonder that the akistanis hate us?…. Media never said a word…if Bush had done this the Dems & media would be screaming for his head, they’d crucify him…you are not being honest if you say no to that

        The DREAM ACT Illegal…..the changing of Welfare Law…illegal Going to war in Libya without Congressional approval…illegal Executive order on Fast & Furious…most likely illegal….Telling Arizona he will not help to secure their border…illegal & violation of his oath to protect nation & uphold Constitution…The GM bailout using TARP funds illegal, and then screwing bondholders & non-union employees out of their rightful pensions illegal..Leaking sensitive intell info..illegal & UNCONSCIONABLE and don’t tell me he did not know & wasn’t behind it…..There are a few others I can’t remember right now…

        Remember, too. that the SOBs DEMS broke several parlimentary procedures in Congress to even get a vote on Obummacare

      • KENYAN KRUSHER

        There are many lawsuits about most of these things I previously mentioned..Some brought by private citizens some brought by Repubs……let us not forget, it was the silence of the Repubs. that has emboldened the Interloper to go further & further away from the rule of law!!!

        Oh, I forgot he & his partner in crime, Holder (a racist, corrupt SOB if there ever was one) decided NOT to defend the Defense of Marriage Act in court..Illegal…The president & his attorney general are not supposed to change laws but defend them, you can’t just pick & choose which laws you like & don’t like…that is what goes on in Cuba & Venezuela, etc…
        In this case, Boehner had to hire a private lawyer to defend the Republic in court, AT TAXPAYER EXPENSE !!! More than that, Holder illegally used one of his Dept’s lawyers to argue the case AGAINST THE GOVT……INSANE!!!!!!

        There are more examples of The Interloper wiping his ass with our sacred Constitution…I just can’t remember them now.

        Bubble? what Bubble? (SEE BELOW) Holder should be thrown in jail!!! There’s probably some illegal actions in here, too!

        OBAMA’S HOUSE OF CARDS
        ____________________________________________
        With studies showing home foreclosures hitting blacks and Latinos hardest, the Obama administration’s answer is baffling as well as destructive — to lend them more money, repeating the cycle of easy credit that led to the housing boom and bust.

        A new AARP report finds that even elderly minorities are facing serious mortgage delinquencies. Fifty-and-over African-Americans, for example, are almost twice as likely to lose their home as older whites.

        “This crisis is far from over,” AARP policy chief Debra Whitman said. “We need to think about more creative solutions.”

        President Obama’s solutions, however, look a lot like the original problems that landed minorities in the financial mess they’re in today.

        For starters, his new consumer credit watchdog agency has quietly adopted weaker, minority-friendly mortgage underwriting guidelines first published in a landmark 1994 policy statement released by the little-known Interagency Task Force on Fair Lending.

        The 20-page “Policy Statement on Discrimination in Lending” — signed by the heads of 10 federal agencies, including then-Attorney General Janet Reno — warned banks that “the agencies will not tolerate lending discrimination in any form.”

        It was a noble goal — undercut by the fact that the statement also set lower standards by which banks could qualify low-income minorities with spotty credit.

        “Applying different lending standards or offering different levels of assistance to applicants who are members of a protected (minority) class is permissible in some circumstances,” it said. “Providing different treatment to applicants to address past discrimination would be permissible if done in response to a court order.”

        The policy planted the seeds of the mortgage crisis, as lenders abandoned prudent underwriting standards altogether. Yet the 1-year-old Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, which was created by the Dodd-Frank financial overhaul, has dusted off the Clinton-era regulation.

        “The CFPB, which did not exist at that time, concurs with the policy statement,” the bureau said in a recent bulletin outlining its policy on battling against “lending discrimination.”

        Separately, CFPB chief Richard Cordray announced last week that the agency will, for the first time, regulate the credit-reporting bureaus that provide the credit scores lenders use to assess the default risk of loan applicants.

        The CFPB has been soliciting complaints from minorities with damaged credit who claim the reports are inaccurate and racially biased. The agency assumes as few as 60% of consumer credit profiles are accurate.

        But a recent comprehensive review by the non-profit, non-partisan think tank Policy and Economic Research Council found that 99.5% are free of material errors.

        The Federal Reserve, moreover, found no bias in credit scoring in a 2007 national sample of more than 300,000 credit bureau records. In fact, it found scores typically underestimate the risk posed by African-American borrowers, who on average “show consistently higher incidences of bad (loan) performance than would be predicted” by their scores.

        That isn’t stopping the administration from trying to correct perceived injustices.

        Cordray says CFPB will rewrite the rules for how the private credit bureaus collect, maintain and analyze such data. He is working on “reforming” the system with the liberal Center for Responsible Lending and other housing activists who believe it denies minorities the credit they deserve.

        The federal government also isn’t shy about fining and suing banks to get its way.

        CFPB also has been working closely with the Justice Department to enhance fair lending enforcement. Justice has pressured banks to relax their mortgage underwriting standards and approve loans for minorities with poor credit as part of a new crackdown on alleged discrimination, court documents show.

        Attorney General Eric Holder, who served as Reno’s deputy, has filed a record number of fair-lending enforcement actions against lenders. More than 60 investigations are active or said to be in the pipeline, and dozens of banks have already settled, including giants Wells Fargo and Bank of America.

        Prosecutions have already generated more than $550 million in rebates, loan set-asides and other subsidies from banks that have settled out of court rather than battle the federal government and risk being branded racist by the media.

        Leading the charge is Holder’s top civil-rights cop, Thomas Perez, another Clinton retread. Perez has compared bankers to Klansmen, arguing that while bankers may discriminate “with a smile” and “fine print,” it’s “every bit as destructive as the cross burned in a neighborhood.”

        He says predatory lenders must now “repair some of the damage done to (minority) communities.”

        Settlements include requirements to lend to blacks and Hispanics at below-market rates — regardless of their creditworthiness — and to open bank branches in minority neighborhoods blighted by the recession — regardless of their economic feasibility.

        For example, the government has ordered Midwest BankCentre to set aside millions of dollars in “special financing” for residents living in predominantly black areas of St. Louis. The program includes originating conventional home loans at fixed prime rates for African-American borrowers “who would ordinarily not qualify for such rates for reasons including the lack of required credit quality, income or down payment.”

        The same federal order, signed last year, praises Midwest for adopting “less stringent underwriting criteria” while under investigation.

        In the case against Citizens Bank of Detroit, also settled last year, the US decrees that “the bank may choose to apply more flexible underwriting standards in connection with the programs under this order.”

        In several cases, including this month’s $175 million Wells Fargo settlement, the government has ordered bank defendants to “prominently display” in all their branches and marketing materials a notice informing minority customers that they cannot be turned down for loans because they receive public aid — such as unemployment benefits, welfare payments or food stamps.

        “It is illegal to discriminate in any credit transaction,” the court-mandated poster says, “because income is from public assistance.”

        Among other remedies: down-payment assistance for low-income minority borrowers and massive marketing and advertising campaigns in minority media to publicize that such assistance is available.

        Wells Fargo, for instance, must “provide targeted marketing regarding Borrower Assistance Grants” of up to $15,000 per borrower in predominantly African-American and Hispanic communities, according to federal court documents filed by the Justice Department.

        Wells must spend at least $50 million directly on down-payment assistance, closing-cost assistance and/or home renovation financing in connection with the purchase of a home. The subsidies are separate from the $125 million in compensation Wells is ordered to pay alleged victims of loan pricing discrimination, who have yet to be identified by the government.

        Like Bank of America and other defendants, Wells must also turn over any unclaimed funds to community organizing groups approved by the government.

        Already, millions of dollars have gone into escrow. Clones of the activist group ACORN, which pressure banks to ease underwriting rules, stand to benefit from the government-imposed funding.

        Justice spokeswoman Xochitl Hinojosa said the anti-discrimination notice “does not compel the banks to make loans to people who do not qualify.”

        But critics say the policies do exactly that — and that government is recreating the easy credit environment that led up to the mortgage crisis.

        “It’s absolutely outrageous after what we’ve just gone through,” said former Rep. Ernest Istook, a Heritage Foundation fellow.

        The Independent Community Bankers of America calls it “extortion.” The group’s president, Camden Fine, has fired off a letter to Holder complaining he “does not have the authority to dictate that banks make a certain number of loans in minority areas where the banks are not located.”

        He and other industry officials say Holder is trying to boost minority homeownership rather than just enforce civil-rights law.

        Holder also appears to be acting as a bank regulator.

        In the Wells Fargo case, for example, his prosecutors ordered the bank to, among other things: rewrite its loan pricing policies; fire mortgage brokers; put managers and loan officers through “equal credit opportunity training”; and create minority homebuyer assistance programs.

        Holder appears to be dusting off the playbook he used to prosecute banks as deputy attorney general under the Clinton administration.

        In a landmark case, he accused Chevy Chase Bank of discriminating against blacks in the Washington area. He not only ordered it to open branches in poor neighborhoods, but actually “target” blacks for home loans through black radio and newspapers.

        The high-profile case sent a chill throughout the industry. The American Bankers Association tried to inoculate members from similar charges by distributing a “fair lending toolbox” with new underwriting guidelines tailored to the needs of minorities.

        Warriors from that era find Holder’s new crusade even more aggressive.

        “It is well beyond anything we saw during the Clinton administration,” said Washington lawyer Andrew Sandler, who advises banks on fair-lending compliance.

        Despite the settlements, the industry insists Holder has not produced evidence of lending discrimination and is conducting a “witch hunt” against banks.

        The Wells Fargo case is emblematic. After a three-year investigation, Holder accused Wells of charging blacks and Latinos a “racial surtax” for subprime mortgages — or charging them higher fees and rates based on the color of their skin without regard for credit risk.

        But in the 29-page consent decree, Wells insists its borrower data proves that its subprime borrowers had “significantly weaker credit characteristics” than its prime borrowers.

        In other words, black, white or brown, the alleged “victims” would not have qualified for traditional mortgages.

        The bank also asserted that its loan files would show no evidence of racial discrimination if prosecutors had conducted “an appropriate analysis” of them.

        As in other cases, prosecutors drew their conclusions from statistical analysis showing “disparities” in loan pricing. However, the computer models — which were developed by a former top Center for Responsible Lending official — do not control for all credit risk variables. The former community organizer, Eric Halperin, was hired by Perez as the department’s first-ever special counsel for fair lending.

        Wells says it settled “solely for the purpose of avoiding contested litigation with the Department of Justice.” So far, Holder has not had to prove any of his allegations of bank discrimination in court.

        Also, his findings are at odds with recent reports by career bank regulators.

        Almost all the defendants have strong records serving minority residential areas under the Community Reinvestment Act, an anti-redlining law that monitors the volume of bank lending in minority areas. Wells Fargo, for one, scored an “outstanding” grade in its last CRA exam.

        The CFPB doesn’t like the ethnic makeup of bank regulators, either. It seeks to diversify the entire federal regulatory workforce, including the Federal Reserve.

        In fact, it recently hired a director for its Office of Minority and Women Inclusion, which will focus on promoting diversity at all the federal agencies regulating banks as well as private contractors and the financial firms it polices.

        The CFPB has the power under Dodd-Frank to set hiring standards — critics call them racial quotas — for the bank regulatory bodies. Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters, a member of the Congressional Black Caucus and the House banking committee that wrote Dodd-Frank, authored the controversial requirement. She says the diversity offices will help change the face of what she calls a white-male dominated Wall Street.

        Home loans may only be the first step.

        Dodd-Frank also has given CFPB the authority to collect from banks small-business lending data by race. Community organizers hope the data will provide as great a stimulus for minority small business lending as mortgage data has provided for minority homeownership.

        All of these steps are being taken in the name of diversity or anti-discrimination. But they’re really an assault on capitalism. The government is telling banks they must lend money to people whether they can repay the money or not.

        In the end, it will be the minorities Obama and Holder are trying to help who will be hurt most.

        If a family is given a loan they wouldn’t otherwise qualify for, what happens when they can’t pay? They’re driven into debt, they lose their home. If the Democrats are in power, the banks will be blamed again, and the credit score cleaned up by a kindly government agent.

        But it doesn’t change the underlying problem.

        Minority Americans, like all Americans, need jobs to get a loan they can afford, and the opportunities to improve their own credit score.

        They don’t need a handout that later turns into a slap in the face.

        You TEA thinkers are a piece of work with your hate for “any who are not with you or agree with you” comments. Not very accepting of others rights when it comes to their opinions and not very American of you either.
        ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
        And you think you’re accepting of other people’s idea?!!!! L0L
        You think that BHO has given any regards to the constitution? He’s not going to adhere to 2 limits if he can get away with it. I’m not so sure he’s not going to declare martial law before the election. (If he does, will you accept that we’ve been right? But if he does, it will be too late.)
        I’m sorry that I didn’t read your other blogs addressing him. I just can’t read all of them, but what I saw was your ignoring what the others were talking about.
        But if you think a fraudulent, usurping person whose wife was proud of this country for the first time in 2008, who can’t salute our flag, and who goes around the world apologizing for our country and having seen no good in it is someone you want for another 4 years that may mean the ruin of our country; then I can’t see you as the patriot you see yourself as.
      • macgyver1948
        Elaine… Well, you are assuming again too. might accept your, and others like you, if you didn’t get nasty about how you respond to other people’s views if they differ from yours just out right tell them how wrong they are from the start without any discussion. And I might oif you didn’t feel you had to be right because it is the ways you believe so a differing view wold have to be wrong. The is no discussion in you, just defiance.
        I do not believe Obama will even try for martial law but you do so we will see. Do you really believe he can force a limitless term for him? You give him so much more power than he really has. No one cal read all the blogs so that is fine. I do not come here to be convincing but I do to learn form people, even those who disagree with me.
        You said “But if you think a fraudulent, usurping person whose wife was proud of this country for the first time in 2008, who can’t salute our flag, and who goes around the world apologizing for our country and having seen no good in it is someone you want for another 4 years that may mean the ruin of our country; then I can’t see you as the patriot you see yourself as. “… Maybe the problem is I do not see him as your describe him, I do not see darkness as you do in him.         You TEA thinkers are a piece of work with your hate for “any who are not with you or agree with you” comments. Not very accepting of others rights when it comes to their opinions and not very American of you either.
        Then you assume so much. How do you know I didn’t wonder about the planes flying over NYC? Are you a TEA mind reader too? You would be wrong in that NYC thing but that just goes to show you guys should get out of the mind reading and assumption game because you are really lousy at them. It really is as though you guys are scripted in with your TEA mind programming because you all sound the same, very negative and insulting. Why is that, is it because you can;t think for your selves or you do not want to?. You guys would be a funny joke if this wasn’t so serious. Notice I am not saying you are a member of the Tea Party, only that you are a TEA thinker whether you are a card carrier or not.
        ~~~~~
        You know that everything you said here applies equally to you. You think you are a mind reader. You hate people who disagree with you as evidenced by this tirade and by your grouping all of us together. You are the ones who are scripted because you definitely seem to be brainwashed.

        But you wonder about the planes and you still trust the person who ordered them to fly over NYC? What kind of logic is that? I see none.

        You think a person who is spending billions of dollars ultimately for a health care bill that most people don’t want or need is going to be safer for women and older people. That’s laughable. Have you not even read about the panels who will have to approve of every expenditure for operations and decide whether or not those recipients will be worth the money to warrant that expenditure? For those over 70, the answer will be no because the panel won’t be made up of medical doctors, but of accountants.

        Granted, that’s not a lot different than the criteria they have for transplants now, but for the money that’s being spent for ObamaCare, and the increased bureaucracy that will go along with it, everyone in the country currently not insured could probably be treated for free anyway.

      • macgyver1948

        Elaine… Whatever you say is fine, there is no getting through to you about what I mean. Whatever you want to believe is fine. You can go on assuming what I am saying and meaning all you want. Only what you choose to believe is true so why should anyone who disagrees with you care, you will only tell them how wrong they are and there is no room for discussion with you.

        Good chance those weapons may have ended up in Syria…Dems voted to go to war, too. Saddam only broke 19 UN resolutions, that was enough justification for some… I was not for war,but if we did not go in, & Saddam did something to USA, you would be crucifying Bush for not protecting us

        Meanwhile in Libya, Obama did not get consent & only went in to protect France & Italy’s oil they get from Libya…to get around illegal action he called it a . “KINETIC OPERATION”….HAHAHA….he said to avert a humanitarian crisis…isn’t is much worse in Syria> why not go in there? No oil?..too close to elections??

      • john olson

        Hey Flashy, they found those WMD’s from Sadam and they are just where that Iraqi general said they were. They are in Syria. Sadam and the Russians moved them by truck convoy and converted airliners right before we invaded Iraq. Bush was right all alone, Sadam had tons and tons of WMD’s and now Syria has them. I think all of you Communist libs owe GWB and the Republicans an apology.

      • Flashy

        Think this through. Try and use a few of the rumored brain cells you may have.

        We had Iraq under survelliance 24/7. They couldn’t take a trip to the outhouse without us taping it. If we didn’t, then Rumsfeld, Cheney, Bush II were more negligent and idiotic than even I give them credit for. NO ONE goes to war without knowing as much as they can…and Clinton had a very effective and well enforced no-fly zone before Bush/Cheney decided they’d enrich their cronies and lie to the nation.

        It’s a long haul across a desert to Syria. Israel is paranoid about Syria. Satellites would be able to pick up any vehicle moving across a cold night desert, and if there was any evidence of WMDs….you really think Bush/Cheney wouldn’t have used it?

        Criminey…I honestly believe one has to check out of sanity and reason to be a TP member…

        Someone besides Gordon must have heard the same things. DHS just ordered 450 Million .40 Cal. rounds, a hugh amount, but OK they are DHS, but what does The National Oceanic and Atmosphereic need with 46,000 Hollow Point rounds or the Social Security Administration, has need of 174,000 rounds of, AGAIN, Hollow Point rounds, for what purpose ?

      • Elaine

        The Wall Street “sit-in”, or whatever it was called, was almost a revolution. The news media didn’t tell anything about what was really going on there, either. And someone was fronting that. Didn’t Soros own a big portion of the supporters of that? I thought there was a connection there somewhere.

        And another thing I don’t understand a president who actually was trying to get the unemployment rate down is the taking of jobs by illegals and refusing to do anything about, but actually doing everything he can to bring them here and keep them here, all at taxpayers’ expense. Now isn’t that just another way to send our jobs to a foreign citizen? Just bring them here instead.

        I got this in an e-mail yesterday. It was from a person who lives in CO and is well aware of what’s going on in our country, having been a professional Army soldier for as long as he could be.

        Subject: Re: Fw: Look what Obama wants to gut bigtime …

        You figure it out. He wants a military that A) follows him, and not the Constitution and B) something that will fire on us.
        Obama, July 2, Colorado Springs, CO:

        [As] president I will expand AmeriCorps to 250,000 slots [from 75,000] and make that increased service a vehicle to meet national goals, like providing health care and education, saving our planet and restoring our standing in the world, so that citizens see their effort connected to a common purpose.

        People of all ages, stations and skills will be asked to serve. Because when it comes to the challenges we face, the American people are not the problem – they are the answer. So we are going to send more college graduates to teach and mentor our young people. We’ll call on Americans to join an energy corps, to conduct renewable energy and environmental clean-up projects in their neighborhoods all across the country.

        We will enlist our veterans to find jobs and support for other vets, and to be there for our military families. And we’re going to grow our Foreign Service, open consulates that have been shuttered and double the size of the Peace Corps by 2011 to renew our diplomacy. We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we’ve set.

        We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.

        We need to use technology to connect people to service. We’ll expand USA Freedom Corps to create online networks where American can browse opportunities to volunteer. You’ll be able to search by category, time commitment and skill sets. You’ll be able to rate service opportunities, build service networks, and create your own service pages to track your hours and activities.

        ~~~~~~~~~~
        This goes right along with what your article was saying, Kate8.
      FreedomFighter, I’m with you friend, if we deported illegals, obama would have to go, went to school as a citizen of another nation, got grants that way so he would be the first to go. I say term limits for all elected officals and no retirement after the term, elected to serve, not a life time living off the people, Get rid of the EPA, the NEA and all government unions who rob the people and want more then the private sector. Let the states control their own land, and get rid of all the green people to a island where they can live with their green idea’s and leave the rest of us alone. The people own the land, the oil under it and they should be able to use it to make a good life for themselves and their families. God Bless Freedom Fighter you and your family:
      • macgyver1948
        Benjamin Fox… If we get rid of the EPA will will be cloud deep in all kinds of pollutions. I believe the EPA should be toned down a bit but without regulations corporations will again be able to do so much more with less. Less concern for the environment because those concerns raises their expenses and that is one of the big things the GOP is fighting to protect – lower corporate expenses.
        Payroll is a huge expense, and the easiest expense to control but there we need a minimum wage which consider the rising cost of living to balance things a bit. TEA and many of their GOP, would like to eliminate minimum wage all together and pay less for good and safe working environments.
        I have never had a need for a union but I know loads of people whose jobs and quality of living depend on them. I want workers to have good representation and that means not someone on the corporation’s payroll whose job evaluations are determined by how well they represent their employer. Try saying it isn’t that way. I have known several ombudsman programs which were a joke because of that.
        The potential violence and threats from both unions and employers must end but there is a need for employee representation where the employer will listen and consider. Walmart deals with a suggestion of a Union by shutting down stores. Yep, they have down that.
        There has to be some kind of meeting of minds because this country needs not only more jobs but jobs with wages people can live on. Without good representation Execs will not listen to individual employees/associates or pleas for more jobs because all the execs care about, if they want their very lucrative contracts renewed, is keeping the Board and the big share holders very happy. The Execs do that by growing the bottom line, keeping expenses down and keeping as much money at the top as they can. With that in mind, where do the Execs incentives lie when it comes to creating jobs, for example, or anything that would raise their expenses?
        If people do not have decent paying jobs (or a job at all), how can any economy be stimulated if all they can do is worry about buying food, paying rent/mortgages and paying their own expenses at home?
        One more thing with your comment in mind. Oil is necessary, I agree with you on that. But we needed to be developing alternative energy sources so we would not be so damn dependent of OPEC and even our oil companies. I know the Koch’s, for example, are fighting for their bottoms lines, and they have many, but they do so at the expense of all thoise who aren’t as they are. They are against all Government regulations on corporations and they are against any alternative energy development if it can affect their bottom lines. The Kochs do not invest in politicians, and they do big time, if they didn’t want to control things, like the government. The GOP is so obliging to them and the Koch-like wouldn’t make dumb investments on purpose. Koch is the back bone of TEA/The John Birch Society. They are scary for our liberty. So if you want to love big oil so much at least know what you are loving. We are just in their way except at as consumers of what they sell, when we can be, and at the polls to support who they have purchased.
        Right now, I’d go with Koch Brothers over our govt…..our federal govt. is our worst enemy!!
      • macgyver1948
        OOOOPPert EEEEpert… That is your opinion and you are very entitled to it. As much as I disagree with it I would defend your right to it. But if you choose Koch to be your leader you need to be a big corporation or very wealthy or they wont care about you as an individual. That is the TP/GOP thing, what the Koch Klan and big corporations want. That is my opinion but I get it from what I see and read. There is so much in the Koch family history which shows this. You should research them before you join them.
        “I do not agree with what you have to say, but I’ll defend to the death your right to say it”. Voltaire
        Voltaire was French but he was speaking to true liberty and addressing Free Speech and the vast need for it in a free society. There were so many in both our American Revolutionary War and the French’s who did not agree with one another but they knew liberty was needed equally for all to win their respective wars and have a righteous government and country. It is saying we have to defend opposing views as far as the right of others to them. When there are people who live with the attitude “only our ways are right and if you disagree with us that is proof that you are wrong” we all lose. That goes for religion as well as politics.
        “Freedom Of…” also means “Freedom From” your ways of believing and accepting all with respect in both politics and religion or freedom and liberty for all will NOT work. The American Revolutionary War would be a sad waste of lives and time if that isn’t a true America creed.
        I do not see liberty equally for all on the side of so many on the right and for some reason they use the Founders to back them up. Things have gone wrong here since the Founders time and so much of it was due to our representatives selling their loyalties to Big Corporations over time.
        When it comes to corporations and banks and big government the Founders were very opposed. I want smaller fed government too but I do not want to trade it for the Corporate States of America. If that is what we get I bet the Founders would be rolling over in their graves with severe anger toward us for allowing it to happen. The TP/GOP are working on that to support the corporations over us. That too is the way I see it.
        mcgyver – ” As much as I disagree with it I would defend your right to it.         Surely, you jest. Apparently you haven’t researched the ones currently in charge, either. They are exactly what you describe the Koch family as.
        America is now, and has been for a long time, under corporate control. They people NOW in charge are wealthy and don’t care about us as individuals. Haven’t you listened to Obama lecture us about how the collective is more important than we, as individuals?
        THE BANKSTERS OWN EVERYTHING. Try to get over this idea that parties matter. They don’t. Not one bit.
        As far as the EPA, just like with all government agencies, they serve at the behest of the elite. They are corrupt. The EPA is not there to preserve the environment, they are there to exact control over our lives. What we need is citizen oversight, independent of government corruption.
        You seem like a smart guy, but you waste your time trying to make the democrats something they are not. Namely, for anyone but themselves and the elite. I mean, the dems are the richest of the rich, and they DON’T SHARE.
      • macgyver1948
        Kate8… I thought we agreed to disagree. I am not jesting. I describe the Koch Klan history and they are still working the political scene as I describe, it is multi generational. You are not telling me anything new about Corporations and banks. Those two industries, although banks are corporations, have been plaguing us since before the Revolutionary war. The founders warned us about both and Koch is them through and through. Also Koch and other of their very wealthy station are buying up the GOP. I am not saying Obama et al are so Kosher but they are cleaner than Koch and Romney and now the TEA poster child who is running with Mitt.
        See who Romney received a lot of his financing when he was starting Bain and couldn’t get American backers. I wonder if you would like who he got into bed with. I define the word BAINing as an entity which buys other companies, dumps the employees (families go along with them if they have them) and assets as needed in order to make themselves and their big investors much wealthier.
        The founders hated banks and corporations for their greed and their attempts to control our government so they can have it “their” ways. That hasn’t changed since then. I cringe when I see those on the right standing with the GOP, so much supporting banks and big corporations, who claim they are of the Founders.
        Do the research or don’t but you will not come close to truth if you don’t. Somewhere in between what you and I believe is the truth. I do not need you to believe me, find out for yourself.
        Here are some great quotes and one from me. Learn from history and current events or you will lose. By the way, so many ‘Banksters’ are Republicans too. Stop wearing your blinders, with your one sided hate, so much.
        “They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.” Benjamin Franklin said this.
        “I hope we shall crush in its birth the aristocracy of our monied corporations which dare already to challenge our government to a trial by strength, and bid defiance to the laws of our country.” – Thomas Jefferson
        Thomas Jefferson got it right when in 1802 he wrote, “I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property—until their children wake up homeless in the continent their fathers conquered.”
        All the perplexities, confusion and distress in America arise not from defects in the Constitution or Confederation, not from a want of honor or virtue so much as from downright ignorance of the nature of coin, credit and circulation.”–John Adams, at the Constitutional Convention (1787)
        “This corruption we speak of comes from corporate greed, regardless of corporate type, supported by the eagerness of many of our politicians, for the purposes of taking corporate money to help support themselves and the Corporations”. Macgyver1948. No, I do not think of myself in the same league as the Founders. I am only expressing my First Amendment Rights.
        “If the freedom of speech is taken away, then dumb and silent we may be led, like sheep to the slaughter.” ~President George Washington
        mcgyver – Obama is a Russian agent. He is working for the NWO NAZIs.
        I know you will not hear this, but it doesn’t matter. You will find out soon enough. Russian troops are on American soil, and they are ready to move on us, and Obama has called them in.
        Good luck. We’re all going to need it.
        I’ve posted several links on this. Ignore them if you wish. It won’t do you any good.
        Here it is 3 ½ half years into his first term and we would have known that by now. If you say Obama is a far left politician he cannot be a Nazis. They were very far right and the Commies are very far left. He is some where in the middle just were we should be for America. So are the normal Republican party, those not turned sour and hateful TEA, but there is no point to saying all this. You keep swilling TEA and enjoy your hate of the other side. LOL. LOL. LOL.         ["Obama is a Russian agent. He is working for the NWO NAZIs. I know you will not hear this, but it doesn’t matter. You will find out soon enough. Russian troops are on American soil, and they are ready to move on us, and Obama has called them in".]
        Kate8, I don’t doubt that for an instant! There is something awash in Washington! Millions of hollow point bullets going out to government agencies, why? Congress giving Obama a blank check to hire 140 government employees, OF HIS CHOOSING, who will head most of these agencies getting this ammo!
        The only thing that doesn’t fit is that they haven’t gotten our guns yet, they’ve tried but haven’t succeeded. I really don’t think ONLY 20,000 Russian soldiers would stand a chance against over a half MILLION gun owners in this country, not to mention the military that would fight with us against the commies.
        For that reason I don’t believe now is the time for Obama to make that move. If re-elected he would have another 4 years to disarm the american public…….. THEN the NWO would begin!
        Of course if he were to see that he was loosing his re-election he may declare marshal law………… how many troops and LEO’s would fight with us in that situation?
      • macgyver1948
        HH. Why are you responding this to me? I guess since I do not agree that Obama is a commie I would have to be wrong. That is so American of you to discount my beliefs and opinions. Now whose ways of expressing are more commie, mine or yours?
        By the way, if any outside enemies invaded American I would be fighting along with all Americans and I would have guns at that point. I would against domestic enemies too.
        You said “I really don’t think ONLY 20,000 Russian soldiers would stand a chance against over a half MILLION gun owners in this country, not to mention the military that would fight with us against the commies”.
        Who is the moron who thinks the Russians are dumb enough to send “ONLY 20,000 Russian soldiers” here to take us over? Now the moron who says that is probably not the guy to follow or give any credibility to in anything. That is more funny from the right, LOL….
        Then you finish with “I don’t believe now is the time for Obama to make that move. If re-elected he would have another 4 years to disarm the american public…….. THEN the NWO would begin! Of course if he were to see that he was loosing his re-election he may declare marshal law………… how many troops and LEO’s would fight with us in that situation? “. WOW.         We DO know it macgyver, you are blinded by the left’s propaganda and can’t see it! I saw it coming 3 and a half years ago………… along with millions of other freedom loving Americans! Obama’s taking us down the tubes and we want you’re help to bring us back!
        ["He (Obama) is some where in the middle just were we should be for America".]
        He’s NO WHERE NEAR the middle, he’s so far left he can’t see out of his right eye!
        ["You keep swilling TEA and enjoy your hate of the other side".]
        macgyver, I don’t hate the “other” side, I really believe they have been misguided by their schooling and the media. I pray they will see the light before it’s too late.
        ["LOL. LOL. LOL. Nice evil fantasy you have there though…"]
        No evil fantasy here mac, I just want to keep our country free, Obama has a different idea for America then YOU or ME have. Wake up and see what’s REALLY going on here!!!
        HH.. You said to me “That is so American of you to discount my beliefs and opinions”.] Don’t you mean, that is so UN american? ["Now whose ways of expressing are more commie, mine or yours"?] Nothing commie about my expressions, Obama is the commie here!“.
        I was being sarcastic with my statement “That is so American of you to discount my beliefs and opinions” because you were denying my beliefs, my views. That is why I asked “who is the bigger commie, you or me?”. I would stand up for your opinion, which is the American thing to do and you deny mine. I just do not see things your or TEA’s or the GOP’s ways. As far as TEA and GOP go, I like freedom and liberty way too much to side with them.
        It is funny though because Romney doesn’t know which ways he is supposed to see it. On another site today I wrote in response to one of their articles what I will include below. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/08/23/mitt-romney-big-business-doing-fine_n_1826597.html?utm_hp_ref=daily-brief?utm_source=DailyBrief&utm_campaign=082412&utm_medium=email&utm_content=NewsEntry&utm_term=Daily%20Brief . I will let you read it, or not, and then you might see one of the many reasons I do not see it TEA ways or yours.
        Since Romney says “Big Business is doing Fine” then the question remains, “Where are the jobs?”. Big Business has been doing fine for a while (contrary to what the TP/GOP would want us to believe) so what could be the reasons Big Business is not creating jobs in noticeable helpful numbers? See article where it is showing at http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/08/23/mitt-romney-big-business-doing-fine_n_1826597.html?utm_hp_ref=daily-brief?utm_source=DailyBrief&utm_campaign=082412&utm_medium=email&utm_content=NewsEntry&utm_term=Daily%20Brief
        Could it be simple reasons such as incentives for the executives? What could be real viable incentives for them?
        When we consider 4 of the main functions of executives there might be a clue.
        1- Grow the bottom line. A no brain-er.
        2– Keep expenses down (consider that payroll is the most controllable expense). Also a no brain-er.
        3- Keep as much money at the top as possible. Not as well known as the others but non the less a fact.
        4- Defend the reputation of the corporation at all costs. You betcha.
        There are more but 4 is plenty for this. We have to remember that Execs are generally contract workers, if I may use the “worker” word in their case. Many of them, especially in large corporations, have very lucrative contracts worth many millions to each of them each year. If they want to have their contracts renewed they have to keep the Board of Directors and the big shareholders happy. To do that they must, well, refer to the 4 Exec functions above. Simple, huh?
        Where do the incentives for the Execs really lie when it comes to creating jobs?
        Also, in these times and maybe also at any given time, many Executives feel customers are not able to sustain the investments that might be made by corporations as they get tax breaks and other Trickle Down Incentives. So the executives use the TD tax incentives as savings. They have no faith in their customers, many of whom are part of the shrinking middle class. So we Consumers are in a Catch 22 position. We need more jobs and decent paying ones.
        We have to start bringing manufacturing back to this nation…do you trust Romney to do that?
      • HH
        Not really but we for sure know Obama can’t! Or won’t! Dang commie!!!
      • OOOOPPert EEEEpert
        The disconnection from the creative process of the actual manufacturing of the product where it has been designed & financed has really hurt this nation
      • macgyver1948
        OOOOOPPPert EEEEPert… Of course we have to bring manufacturing back to the US. Manufacturing is a good part of what made us strong as a country and the lack of it is weakening us greatly. I do not trust Romney to do anything that will not benefit himself and his very wealthy friends. If outsourcing remains the more viable and profitable option (along with the ever popular trend of the TP/GOP of helping the Big corporations to lower their expenses) for the big corporations Romney will find ways to go on supporting that- and them. Let’s remember that payroll is the most controllable expense. Outsourcing makes great sense for them – but not for us.
        We have to make outsourcing much more costly for the corporations to outsource than it is here or they will not want to bring manufacturing back.
        Romney will do what will be good business for his big corporation friends and not us.
      • OOOOPPert EEEEpert
        But Obama did the same thing by giving money to his green cronies & how did that turn out? And that money is OUR MONEY, taxpayer money….Also, that GM bailout took care of China with a lot of jobs going over there…these 2 are 2 sides of the same coin…but Romney understands & has stated that he will try to get rid of the onerous regulations & taxes that drive businesses overseas…those are Dem things…
        I trust Romney to do better for our economy, even if his buddies make out , too. Obama has proven he has no clue, but I think he has also shown he is such an Lefty ideologue that he will continue to fiddle his way while we burn…why do you think all those moderate advisors of his quit? He didn’t listen to them!! One can very easily make the case that he is intentionally trying to destroy the nation.
      • HH
        Hey OOOOPPertEEEEpert, I don’t believe he’s “fiddlin’ his way” I believe he’s got a set agenda. Watch the movie 2016, THAT’s his agenda and nothing else!
        We, (America), is STRONGER than that! We can defeat him, AND we will!!!
      • HH
        To correct my own typo………….. We……….. ARE!!! Not. IS………….stronger
      • OOOOPPert EEEEpert
        Light is stronger than darkness & will win in the long run!!!
      • macgyver1948
        OOOOPPert EEEEpert… Yes, I know the attempt at alternative, which we greatly need but not necessarily those companies at this time because of their current technology levels, was a bit of a buts. Call them Obama cronies if you like but Obama knows we need to get so much less dependent on OPEC and our OIL companies for the future so Obama offered a help, to bad it didn’t work. And the OIL companies and Koch love that it didn’t work. See, the Oil companies, the Koch-like and help from their GOP would rather the help we need not produce so there would be less threat to their bottom lines. We need alternative energy now but it wont work without development.
        Now we can remember GW Bush suggested hydrogen energy but he is OIL and he knew hydrogen would be 20 or more years away from where it might be usable. Delays are as bad as put downs when there is great need for alternative energy types now.
        OOOOPPert … I am not for out sourcing of any kind especially now when we need the jobs here for our people the most. Companies like Harley-Davidson, forgive me because I love Harley’s, is importing IT people from India because the will cost less than their current IT staff that they are replacing. I do not like anything that will hurt America ever but especially when we are down.
        Then you say “.but Romney understands & has stated that he will try to get rid of the onerous regulations & taxes that drive businesses overseas…those are Dem things”. Sorry but that is a politician thing. And before the election many say what they know we want to hear and then, if they win, they have some reason not to do it…. Bush 1, while running for his presidency was famous for his “READ MY LIPS, NO NEW TAXES” speeches before the election. Guess what he did after he got into office.
        As you feel you do not trust Obama “READ MY KEYSTROKES. I DO NOT TRUST ROMNEY TO DO ANYTHING FOR US”… LOL… So where does our country stand with only Obama and Romney in real contention? We will be voting for which guy we believe the most over the other and whose vies of capitalisms we trust will work for us most. What else can we go by. I will be voting more against the Romney for-corporate-only capitalism than I might be for Obama’s capitalism.
        I do not trust how Romney says his care is not as Obama’s and I do not trust the Ryan economics for women, the elderly, the retired, minorities, the middle class in general and I do not like how Romney disrespects other peoples religion if those other people’s beliefs conflicts with his. Also I do not like how he is a BAINer or how he outsourced jobs while Governor and his health care. I do not know what to say about Obama, there is nothing perfect about him, but he is doing what he can and not how TEA and others want us to believe.
        So many TEA leaders, and TEA reporters like ROOT, have misrepresented Obama messages and it is all because of hate for him and not truth. In Root’s case it goes way back to when they were at Columbia U at the same time. Although in an earlier Root article he tells how he did not like Obama and the rest Obama hung out with he, Root, then in a more recent article Root says he never heard of Obama while he was a student at Columbia…. Which is which with Root at any particular moment? I know Root was trying to discredit Obama’s existence at Columbia but I have seen Columbia articles telling of his awards there. Then Obama interviewed at Harvard law, which he was accepted to, and you can’t do that without a proven undergraduate degree from a creditable school. So what are we to believe about Obama from those who are driven by hate for him and not much else?
        Do not like Obama if you do not want to but who is left to vote for? I am picking the least of the evils because the alternative, to me, is much worse to those of us I mention above.
        To each his own views, that is the American way.
      • OOOOPPert EEEEpert
        Every single one of those, 11 green companies getting our dimes has gone bankrupt & all the CEOs were big donors to Obama…Solyndra was turned down by the Bush administration, because the neutral CBO said it was a very bad investment..but Obama is too much of an ideologue & plunged ahead anyway on our dime, that is corruption & terrible leadership & then he lied about it all the way through saying it was doing well, Where was Obama on Open Fuel Standard Act? NOWHERE, like a lot of Dems they talk a good game about green energy, but do nothing also…..Does it not bother you how many of Obama’s executive orders are illegal, most notably the DREAM act?, what about Fast & furious? This interloper has used the Constitution to wipe has ass numerous times…does that not bother you?…What about Obama putting forth 2 budgets that did not get ONE SINGLE VOTE from his own party in the most partisan time in our history…what does that tell you?
        It tells me either he is the stupidest man who ever lived or he does not want a budget, if you have a budget you can’t spend us into oblivion, the Dems look at taxpayer money like it’s Monopoly money. He also knows how stupid the American people are,& media kiss his ass, so he keeps saying , there’s no budget because of those mean old Repubs. who are ib bed with Corporations, blah, blah, blah…Obama will be 1st president in history not ot ass a budget (illegal under Constitution) & to have less people working after his term…HE HAS GOT TO GO!!!!
        You are like all the others, afraid of Ryan throwing Granny off the cliff…it’s all BS & lies, you’ve drunk the Kool-aid, my friend…., Ryan is trying to start the process of saving us, it;s gonna take some sacrifices but it has to start somewhere, it has to start in the consciousness of the people & pols.
        There is one thing I’m sure of: THERE IS NO WAY IN HELL THE DEMS WILL EVER STOP SPENDING & BRING THE DEFICIT DOWN….will Romney & Ryan do it? Maybe not, but there is a better chance with them or nay other Repub.
      • macgyver1948
        OOOOPPert EEEEpert… I do not know what to tell you, I am not an expert in those technologies. What I do know is that we very much need to develop other energy sources so OPEC and the KOCH and big OIL stop controlling us so much. There is just so much oil in the ground and we will run out eventually but until then BIG OIL will control us as they do. Bush may or may not have been concerned about those technologies but he is tied to Big Oil (as he once again proved with his huge gift to BIG OIL) so we may never know his real reasons…
        If Obama’s executive order are illegal they would bother me but I am still thinking about the dream act in terms of how compassionate it is. Sometime humanity should guide law.
        Read this is you like, you might find it interesting, notice the year. – http://chronicle.com/article/Dream-Act-Fails-to-Get/39828
        Monopoly Money, HUH. Sounds funny. You try running a government without spending money. Ask Reagan and GW.
        As for your accusation “You are like all the others, afraid of Ryan throwing Granny off the cliff…it’s all BS & lies, you’ve drunk the Kool-aid, my friend…”. The thing that is BS is believing the vouchers and the IOU’s will work. Granny and others see Ryan will not help the elderly and the retired. We will see if they get elected but that will be a dark day.
        I just looked in my refrigerator and my cupboards. There is beer and rum and scotch and orange and grapefruit juices and a pitcher of cold filtered water but no Kool-aid. Sorry, you will have to continue to get your Kool-aid on your own.
        You end with “There is one thing I’m sure of: THERE IS NO WAY IN HELL THE DEMS WILL EVER STOP SPENDING & BRING THE DEFICIT DOWN….will Romney & Ryan do it? Maybe not, but there is a better chance with them or nay other Repub”. You are sure, are you?
        Gee, I really hope you do not mean any of the TEA GOP from the Repub debates earlier this year. At least 3 of them were super idiots. Some wanted us to forget they had moral and ethics issues. Some of the best comedy writing came from those debates. So many people wondered if those are the best the TP GOP can come up with and there is no hope on the Right. Romney was lucky most of the others were in there.
        There was the former house speaker, the newt, he was very ethical and also didn’t break any commandants or trusts in the House. Then there was the pizza man with all his apathy and what was it that got him dumped, oh, sorry, he quit? :-) .. The tea bag lady and her idiot remarks. Then there is Rick Santorum. Now there is a super conservative any other conservative with the beliefs that “if you do not agree with me you have to be wrong” can look up to. Very American attitude, not. Candidates denying the quality and acceptability of other candidates religions.
        Yeah, great champions in that “nay other Repub” bunch.
      • OOOOPPert EEEEpert
        The vouchers are optional, it’s an EXPANSION of freedom, can you not see that? If you do not really understand the IPAB of Obamacare, I suggest you read up on it, and you should see it has ZERO COMPASSSION IN IT, it will ration care for the elderly, no doubt about it & people will die who don’ have ,too…Palin was right when she called them Death Panels…. As far as DREAM act, is it so compassionate for our young citizens & young LEGAL IMMIGRANTS who also need jobs to have to vie with those 1.7 million now for jobs???…the jobless rate for the young is close to 20%…also, what about the illegals who will game the system with fraud here, don’t you read these Liberty alerts closely? In other words, the 1.7 million GOOD young illegals will rise to over 2 million by those who will fill out the forms & say they go to college, etc..and also get benefits, etc…Obama kept saying over & over he could not legally do it, and with his poll numbers dropping like a lead balloon, he went & did it…he changed the welfare law too illegally…i guess this stuff just does not bother you….Both sides have kept that border open to the detriment of the nation…a lot of drug money at stake & cheap labor for the rich…, before any true immigration laws or amnesty is passed, WE MUST SECURE THEM..heck 3 of the 9/11 guys came across it & we still haven’t done it…Ron Paul said bring every soldier home & put them on the border…do we have the will to do it? Probably not…this illegal act by Obama just encourages more illegal migration across the border..the states like Missouri who give NO BENEFITS to illegals, have very few
        As far as the energy , alas, the dark forces just might have too much control here, the technology is there to make things better & fiscally viable, but they keep blocking it & I’m talking here about the really BIG BOYS, not our pols..do you know the story of Niklas Tesla & free energy? Tesla was a pure genius, way beyond Edison…he came up with a way to tap into the earth’s electro-magnetic field to get energy, he invented a car that ran on it…no gas. no electric, no alcohol, no pollution…He got backing from JP Morgan to wire 50 homes in Long Island, NY with antennas to receive free, purely clean energy (from the earth’s magnetic field) for their homes , to run all appliances, etc…. it would come from his transmitter, the day before it was supposed to start, Tesla woke up to see his transmitter burned to the ground & later JP Morgan came to him & said simply, ‘They won’t let us do it”….THEY must have been some really Big Cheeses, the kind you don’t ever even hear about…when Tesla died all his papers on free energy were stolen…Maybe there is a guy out there who knows how to do it, but will they let him…NOOOOOOOOOOO !!!
        OOOOPPert EEEEpert … I have read it and I have talked about the options of the vouchers before. To choose them will be a gamble later. Would you gamble on your next and the next meal? If you depend on that regular monthly check to eat of pay bills you might be concerned with people deciding how the vouchers are played.
        I understand the concerns of our citizens needing jobs. I get it. What would you do with the young immigrants who were brought here by their illegal parents when the kids had nothing to say about it? What would you say to them when you are deporting them to a foreign country, one they know nothing about? I can live with them here if they never committed any crimes of their own and they work for citizenship as all immigrants have before them, paying taxes as they go. That is the compassion, some of it, that I mean and I bet, if you are of God it would be His too. If you are Christan what would your Jesus say?
        The Tesla event was sad and it is the kind of thing that angers me. It has happened so often to many bright people. I bet if some one came up with an easy and very cheap way to mass produce a synthetic oil without hurting our food supplies or other needed items the OIL industry would find a sneaky way to end it. The same with the Tire industry if there was a never ending tread in this new miracle tire and it worked as well or better than any we now have. I have a book from a businessman who teaches how to build a very successful mail order business. He explains, in his book, before the feds trashed his labs and put him in prison, he still doesn’t know what laws he broke, he developed a bread, with some ingredient, that could lose us a lot of weight very safely. The diet industry didn’t like it so…
        I also know a story from back in the 1930s or so where the head of the Dupont industry called his politicians and demanded that they put a stop to the problems to his bottom lines caused by a smaller newer industry. He didn’t like the growing competition from the tougher and longer lasting materials than cotton and wool. So, when the government could come up with something they felt could work the Hemp industry was all of a sudden a health hazard. So, Marijuana is illegal for the same reasons tobacco is still legal – Economics… Imagine that if this story is true.
        Who knows what is true but where there is smoke there is fire from many of these stories. Really big cheeses is right. I would like to read more about Tesla and his work, thanks for bringing him and it up. I will look for something soon.
      • OOOOPPert EEEEpert
        NOW, I got you, Mac, by the proverbial “cohones”..you are being hypocritical here invoking Jesus…the other day you told me not to invoke my religion (I prefer spirituality) talking about legalized abortion & homosexual marriage..what would Jesus say about DREAM ACT: well, I think he would say that Obama has made some bad karma breaking the laws he took a sacred oath to enforce when he put his hand on the Bible upon inauguration..and I think he would say we should remove ALL illegal aliens & secure our borders because that is what the pols took an oath to do. If some need help as we kick them out give some money to help them on their journey back to their roots
        BUT, I KNOW ONE THING IS 100% SURE ABOUT JESUS…HE WOULD BE RAILING AGAINST HOMOSEXUAL MARRIAGE & THE SHOVING DOWN OUR THROATS OF THEIR WHOLE DARK AGENDA & HE WOULD BE RAILING ABOUT THE LEGALIZED SNUFFING OUT OF INNOCENT LIFE IN THE WOMB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! & THE TAXPAYER FUNDING OF IT & THE ABORTION MANDATE IN OBAMACARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
        NO DOUBTS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
      • Liberty Lover
        macgyver1948: are you really as clueless about Romney’s psyche as your silly comments would suggest: that he is running for President in order to enrich his already wealthy friends? The man has a huge ego that demands his performance, as measured by objective metrics and the respect of his countrymen and historians, be deemed among the best in history, The man also presumably loves his country, as distinguished from his opponent whose every mentor in life has been an anti-American Marxist and whose father (dreams of which were adopted by the son) despised powerful countries such as the U.S.
      • KENYAN KRUSHER
        He;s right Mac….by all accounts, Romney’s been very well liked wherever he has worked & presided over, his workers have said he’s a good guy always helpful…Obama is a juvenile & many don’t even care for him & his wife..Ryan is also a humble, decent stand up man, good ‘ol Catholic guy. Obama is Godless. I still to this day, cannot believe this man could get the Democratic nomination & then be elected president after sitting in the pews for over 20 years listening to the Wrong Rev. Wright spew that vitriolic hatred. Still, can’t believe Americans did not seem to care this guy was racist!
      • macgyver1948
        KENYAN KRUSHER … As you guys say Obama is, to your ways of thinking, Romney has and still is fooling a lot of people. To some extent all politicians do but Romney is the supreme cake for now.
      • macgyver1948
        Liberty Lover… I suppose to your kind of mind I am clueless because I do not see things your ways. That is fine. I just do not see Romney as being good for any who are NOT his kind of people – the big corporations, the very wealthy and those on his acceptable religions list (referring to his acts and his support of forcing his beliefs on others whose religious beliefs weren’t acceptable to his beliefs – so much for Freedom Of Religion – you know, that kind of LIBERTY. I thought, by your name, that you love liberty or are you selective too if you excuse those insulting and disrespecting actions of his and those fellow Mormon who did those things?). I do not trust him for his BAIN-like business practices and that includes from whom he took funding to start Bain, some very unsavory characters from south of our borders because he couldn’t get money from enough smart Americans. I wonder why.
        So call me clueless if you like but if you support him for the actions I mention what does that make you?
      • Liberty Lover
        If you foresess Romney trying to force his religious beliefs on others as President, you are delusional beyond the possibility of redemption with little understanding of how our system works (FLASH: Mormons seize control of House and Senate in a huge electoral surprise). I suppose your research has uncovered evidence that Romney tried to make Mormonism the official relilgion of Massachusetts. All candidates have their warts. Romney was not my choice for the GOP nomination, though I love the first major choice he made in Paul Ryan for VP. For me, it’s always the lesser of alternative evils, and the disparity here is mind-boggling. Your comments reek of envy, Mac. Romney’s success in so many endeavors, which ought to make him an easy choice in November, is a turn-off for you, while the insecure and ineffectual Obama’s desperate efforts to live the life of the rich and famous 1% somehow appeals to you. My comments address the big picture; yours seem lost among trivialities.
      • macgyver1948
        Liberty Lover … you are doing it again. I guess it is so easy for you to describe people who do not agree with you in derogatory ways. I did not say Mitt would do it, I am saying he has and it was a religious dealing for him so who know if he would again if he is elected. He is to be concerned about for many reasons but religious freedoms is only one.
        Then you say “I suppose your research has uncovered evidence that Romney tried to make Mormonism the official religion of Massachusetts“. Wrong again. Wow you do that ‘wrong’ thing so well. I know a few people in Massachusetts and they and many others felt he sucked as a Governor but they never heard of him pushing his Mormonism on them. They would have banished him from Massachusetts on a rail, one person said, if he went that far.
        I am concerned with his and other Mormons doing immoral baptisms and not feeling bad about it. That concerns me because they might just want to do that and other immoral things again if they think they can get away with it. I have read post from Mormons responding to articles about that and some said they felt bad but would do it again and some felt it was their duty. Do you get the point now or are you going to assume again something entirely else? If Romney can disrespect other people religion how can he be trusted whether he will do it while in office or not? We just do not know what he will do or support..
        They were immoral, disrespectful and insulting to how other people believe and in how they relate to God. The doing of these things deserve a jail sentence as Constitutional violations and some federal laws are tarnished as well. And since baptisms are suppose to be eternal to those who believe in them there shouldn’t be a statute of limitations. Assume what you want but I would think you would get tired of being wrong so often about other peoples expressions and feelings on things.
        Are you very wealthy or do you feel you will never need Social Security or any form of Medicare? Are you financially set for life? With Ryan we get more scared retired people with his lousy vouchers and IOUs. They will not keep up with the cost of living increases and it is so tough for theose retired people to make it on what they get now. But that is the least of their problems with Ryanisms and Mitt. I hope you do love Ryan’s work and that you will never need help or grow old.
      • Liberty Lover
        Time to rest my case, Mac, that your mind is closed beyond redemption. Your focus on baptisms in an election like this is beyond silly. Doesn’t it bother you in the least that BO spent millions trying to hide from you his true identity? If you care to reply, you can have the last word, having exceeded my tolerance for nonsense.
      • macgyver1948
        Liberty Lover… If it is proven that Obama isn’t who he says he is it would very much bother me but until then, with so much saying he is, there are other things to be concerned about. I rather those who can prove who he is do that and then let us know. That hasn’t happened yet with conviction or prof other than from those who hate him want to do to him. Hate brings out nasty things from the haters, all to often non-truth, so we do not know yet.
        As for the immoral abortions. That too goes to his character, and the character of any who do them. Are you, I am only asking and not assuming, discounting Freedom Of Religion, which also means freedom from yours, as an nonentity and that means it doesn’t matter to you? That is unless it conforms to how you believe? Your tag name is Liberty Lover. I thought the constitutional liberties very much mattered to you so please correct me if I am wrong on that.
        Is it better we talk about all the companies Romney gutted and all the many people he fired, as well as the outsourcing he did as Governor, just so he and his big investors could get wealthier? Is that more germane to your way of thinking than Constitutional liberties for discussions on the election? It seems to me their character, as we see them, with prove, is very relevant. They both have character flaws but the ones we know about are the point of discussion and they get more interesting as they get more relevant to us.
        I want total and complete disclosure from all our public employees. That includes taxes and ID for all of them. I also mean that for all campaign contributions because they are running for public, not private, service and we need to know who might be trying to buy them and their loyalties.
      • KENYAN KRUSHER
        Proof???, the evidence is overwhelming…like a case in court with a plethora of circumstantial evidence..you just have chosen not to see it….But, can you not FEEL IT, too???? The vibrations are there, when he shakes his fist & says, “YOU DID NOT BUILD THAT BUSINESS”….somewhere in Hell Chairman Mao & Lenin are smiling!!!!
        Your intuition is sorely lacking, Mac!!!
      • KENYAN KRUSHER
        You just cannot open the eyes of some about this devil who has pulled off one of the biggest charades in history..of course the old canard is , “A nation gets the leaders they deserve”…but, at least they should be natives
      • Liberty Lover
        Fool the miseducated masses of this country once, shame on you! Fool them twice, shame on them. Even if we survive the immediate threat to America’s greatness, I doubt we can reform the “education” system in time to reverse the trend toward statism.
      • Jeff
        Where is the evidence for this? I mean outside the Glenn Beck – Fox News – Limbaugh echo chamber.
      • KENYAN KRUSHER
        He’s 100% on the money , Mac !!!!
      • macgyver1948
        Kenyon,,, LOL> what kind of money…?
      • HH
        mac, if you’ve read any other of my post here you will see that I don’t support the GOP or the TEA party, I just agree with them more so than the right wing democrats. 40 years ago when I registered to vote I registered as a democrat. The democratic party is no longer the party it was 40 years ago, it’s merged with the communist party and have absorbed it’s views. I was raised during the cold war and communist were evil. Now our own government has taken on that look and I honestly believe we’re headed for a socialist, communistic state. Obama’s current record for the past 3 1/2 years in the oval office reveal’s to us that his intentions are just that, to bring us completely into a communistic state. What freedom loving American want’s that?
      • OOOOPPert EEEEpert
        you are 100% correct…..the biggest extremists & stiflers of freedom are in Dem party
      • macgyver1948
        HH.. I suppose I do see that about you. I also see you are not a TEA thinker but we see things from different sides. I am not very wealthy so I cannot align myself with how the GOP is structured, mainly for the wealthy and the big corporations in mind and action, as I see them. I see we do want what is best for the country so I didn’t mean to imply you were TEA. I get so frustrated with people who seem to not be able to think for themselves and they resort to insults and name calling because they have nothing else. Childishness is something I have a hard time with in people over the age of 10. This site is loaded. Sorry if I came across that you are of TEA and GOP. Also it is hard to know who to support considering all who are running as our only choices.
      • OOOOPPert EEEEpert
        There is a vital need for a string 3rd party, both have let us down…surprised it hasn’t happened yet.
        Still, I do believe the Dems right now are quote a bit worse!
      • HH
        @ macgyver1948
        (“HH.. I suppose I do see that about you. I also see you are not a TEA thinker but we see things from different sides. I am not very wealthy so I cannot align myself with how the GOP is structured,”……..)
        I’m not wealthy either mac, I’m a mechanic and I don’t make much more than 50k per year! I don’t work for a BIG corporation either, I believe that small business is the backbone of our nation! Obama believe’s that the government is the answer……….. I don’t believe that! History reveals the truth on that matter too!
        (“I see we do want what is best for the country so I didn’t mean to imply you were TEA. I get so frustrated with people who seem to not be able to think for themselves and they resort to insults and name calling because they have nothing else”.)
        If you felt that I was “name” calling then I apologize, I too get frustrated with the lame brains of our society, they occupy BOTH sides!!!
        We have no choices mac, both sides are all about power and wealth! Your apology is accepted, I respect your views and I will fight for your right to express them. Let’s come together and get our country back to the glory it once had!
      • macgyver1948
        HH… I am not so sure Obama sees government as more than a help but thats fine how others see him. I just do not think he is dumb enough to believe it is all about government, by Government, for Government. That speech he gave in Virgina , where his words were distorted by TEA, his real words and message were about ‘we all do it with some help along the way’.
        Anyway, I know that there were some large corporations around before the Revolutionary War, as in the Dutch Tea Company, when white Americans dressed up as Native Americans and dumped tea into the harbor in protest of the collected taxed not going to England but instead back into the pockets of the corporations and their controlled politicians. But my thinking, as I see in yours, more small corporations since then are what built American. So many small corporations today are hurting also because they too are not benefiting from how the big ones are.
        You say you respect my views and you will fight for my right to them as I would yours. Just remember I cannot always be right but I try. We never have to agree but we should be able to learn from each other, all of us. I have loads of friends who are backing Romney, and many not, and we can have fun without the childish name calling. Yeah, we have to come together because it would not be worth arguing our own points of view with those who think differently if we lose what should be a great country again.
        I see our common enemy as those who work exclusively for the wealthy who want to control everything, and those very controlling wealthy too of course.. So many wealthy are not that way so it isn’t all of them. There is nothing wrong with great wealth but there is in greedy ways of acquiring and controlling it and in how the greedy and power hungry get more. Those are who the Founders saw great opposition to their great experiment they called America and they saw the corporation and banks as that evil. They wanted big money kept out of politics because they knew from experience the for-sale politicians would aid that evil. This is why I write about how the Supreme Court betrayed us with their siding with Citizens United, the Founders also didn’t like/trust secrecy in our government – a public government.
        Do not get me wrong, we need business of all sizes, that is how we grew as we did, but we need for business to care more about the rest of us than only their money and their control. There are reasons the Execs of big corporations, the only ones who can create jobs for their companies, aren’t creating jobs and I wrote about their incentives concerning those reasons. If you want I will send you my thinking on that which is based on my years working in corporations with execs. I posted a original version on here last night. It’s not that long, 1 ½ pages of word processor.
        We haven’t learned from the Founders yet and that is why we are going down hill. As the Beetles said “Come together, right now” to fight off our common enemies before it is too late. I suggest a huge group, such as AARP but for all legal voters and citizens (that means kids must be represented until they can vote), to make our new representatives fear us more for their seats than they do now their parties and any big contributers, ie: big investors.
      • HH
        (“There is nothing wrong with great wealth but there is in greedy ways of acquiring and controlling it and in how the greedy and power hungry get more”.)
        I read all of your post mac, good words you write! Thank you for them.
        We both agree that the politics of today are not what our founding fathers envisioned. That is why we need to come together NOW more so than in the past. The political leaders of today want total control, that’s NOT what our founding fathers dreamed of. I wish I knew how to bring them all together but I don’t have those gifts. Some do, I see that in some of the folks who post on these boards, they would be good leaders. Our country needs good leaders NOW which is something we have not had in many many years.
        God bless our country! We need your (God’s) wisdom and guidance now more than ever.
      • macgyver1948
        HH…I can see us standing up together for the changes and adjustments we need for our country and then I also see us going to vote but for different candidates. That is the way it should work if we do see the candidates differently.
        For a long time I felt a great need in Government reform and not just Congressional. I feel there is conflict of interest in agencies as well, like The FDA and EPA. We need both of them but a lot of what they do is counter productive and the FDA can be dangerous with how they work for the Food and Pharm companies and not us. For example, have you ever wondered how so many drugs with so many dangerous side effects, just watch the disclaimers on TV for this, ever made it on to the coveted FDA approval list and why so many have to be taken off in less than 2 years or so? Did you also know there are over 500 contracted experts advising the FDA, and we pay them, who also have direct financial ties to the Food and Drug Companies and what they get from the companies in so many cases is higher than what we pay them. Where are their loyalties? They need to be reworked as well as Congress and the President’s office.
        So that is partly why we need Government and not only Congressional Reform. Corporations run our Government in so many ways.
        Last year I received an email from people sending it out to so many on their mailing lists. In it they had suggestions for reform and they asked we send it out out our mailing lists. I added some of my own and sent it out but it was too late for this year and maybe it is for this election but I think something like that reform list should be on the national ballet.
        We do need God guiding us but it would have to be God and not any particular religion or denomination and how they see things. Do you remember there were 3 GOP candidates this time around who claimed God told them to run? Can you imagine if we were forced in to how they believed and prophesied? How could any of those three lose out, and all three did, if God told them run? That was stuff stand up comics couldn’t make up. God didn’t want people run governments anyway and I can see why. Before Saul was chosen to be the first Hebrew King God said that would not work, they should only be guided by Him. The harped on it long enough saying they could better deal with neighboring nations with a King. I am very much guessing, because how could I know?, but maybe God finally said yes, as a loving parent might, so His children could learn the lesson through their own experiences. I have a question. That was maybe 2700 years ago. How come we haven’t learned that lesson yet? LOL..
      • OOOOPPert EEEEpert
        As Ron Paul & others have noted, the only way out of this mess is power flowing abck to the states, as was the Founders original vision…as James L. Buckley predicted in the 1970′s, the Federal government will get too big to manage & there will be too much power in the executive branch..we can all thank FDR for really accelerating & cementing that change..He was the worst president ever!!!
      • OOOOPPert EEEEpert
        There was no bigger betrayal than Roberts letting Kagan sit in judgment of Obamacare & then re-write their law & pass it off as Constitutional…that damn SOB let them write the law as a penalty & then let them stand before court & argue it was a tax as well INSANE…..NOTHING WILL EVER BE WORSE THAN THAT FROM HERE ON IN…Of course, Roe v. Wade was the worst of all times!!!
      • macgyver1948
        OOOOPPert EEEEpert … Actually time will tell if ObamaCare will work for us. And when it goes into effect during Obama’s second term I am hoping so much of the GOP failed ‘stuff’ is removed from it. At any rate Obama is talking about the states deciding what will work best for them in ObamaCare by taking out what will not, in the states opinion. Another reason I pray that insulting GOP SOB running in Missouri for Senator gets lost even before the election. He says women have super biological repruductive systems so when they get rapped they wont get pregnant. HE says doctors told him that. The Akin Video – http://action.clairemccaskill.com/content_item/legitimate-rape?utm_medium=email&utm_source=mccaskill&utm_campaign=ema_20120821_1 . He also wants to cancel school lunches. He must be another of the best the GOP has to offer as you stated before.
        And as for the biggest betrayal in recent time by SCOTUS. I have no doubt “We The People” were betrayed by SCOTUS with their deciding in favor of Citizens United with their secrecy packs. Non disclosure in public arenas is a contradiction to Americanism and to us. We need to know who might be buying the loyalties of our “public” employees, elected or not.
      • OOOOPPert EEEEpert
        I’m pretty sure the 2,700 pages of Obamacare have enough regs & crap & hidden taxes in there that will stifle premiums from going down which is the only way the system will work, & take more money out of our pockets to fund their Nanny state… they will never cover the 30 million they expect to…Nancy Pe-LOUSY said we will know what’s in it when it;s passed, well, we still don’t know all of it…it was not about healthcare, it was about control by the federal govt of more of our lives. The only way to truly reform the system is by opening competition across state lines & reforming malpractice suit payouts, but the Dems block that because they are in bed with Tort lawyers & they are always against free markets playing themselves out, they rather subsidize everything (gee, How’s that working out with student loans???)..only an act of Congress can change laws to buy across state lines & Romney said he will try to do that..before any real reform in healthcare premiums need to go down, & everything Obamacare has done so far has raised them.
        The Citizens United cannot compare to the horror of what Roberts did in Obamcare..Unconscionable!!!
      • Liberty Lover
        Anyone care to guess which organization has done the most to bend the health-care cost curve downward ? Certainly not any government entity! The answer is Wal-Mart with its $4 generic prescriptions, leading to major savings for millions of families.
      • macgyver1948
        Liberty Lover… I hate to say I agree with you since you are talking about Walmart and they are only out for themselves, the guys at the top – the execs, their board and their biggest share holders, not in that order.. But they did figure out how to bring in the prescription customers in droves with that low price. I just hope they didn’t water down the quality of the drugs for that price as they do with their electronics and clothing and who knows what else.
      • Liberty Lover
        Mac, can you explain to me how Walmart manages to enrich its largest shareholders without simultaneously enriching its small shareholders? Also how they manage to attract long lines of applicants for jobs offered by the company even though management only cares about the highest echelon of executives? Also how they manage to fool the millions of customers who continue to patronize the stores despite the sneaky degradation of products that you allege? Dramatic success in this world always attracts sensational opposition among those who don’t truly understand and accept the consequences of free choice (the free market is by far the most democratic voting system in existence).
      • macgyver1948
        Liberty Lover… Man you are assuming again and that is what makes it tough to communicate with those of you who do that. I DID NOT SAY WALMART’S SMALL SHAREHOLDERS ARE NOT GETTING BENEFITS FROM THEIR SMALL SHARES. But in case you didn’t realize it the larger the number of shares you own the more benefit you get, conversely the fewer the shares you own the less benefit you receive. Do you understand that? I will assume you are smart enough to realize that simple concept.
        What I was saying is Walmart, as with so many companies, the bigger the shareholder you are, with them, the more important you are to them and the more kissable attention you will receive from the corporation. Do you understand that reality too?
        Ok, job getting especially in hard times 101…. Pay attention so you do not miss this. Walmart generally offers very low paying jobs and people without jobs, or those discouraged with the job they then have, go to Walmart for the job. Walmart hires a lot of under paid workers and they lose a lot all the time, The turn over is huge. The average SuperCenter employees about 350 to 400 associates – more or less depending on location and perceived volume, that is their payroll budget. So very often the turnover for so many of them is great and if you walked into many of their stores this week you might not recognize a number of the associates from a couple of weeks ago. They pay so little and they treat associates so poorly in many cases. People get fed up or they put up with it.
        It’s as though Walmart wants the turn over before 3 months of employment is up so there is no first raise and WM doesn’t have to go through the expense of offering and providing benefits. That is always “how they manage to attract long lines of applicants for jobs offered by the company even though management only cares about the highest echelon of executives”, as you said. WALLY, a Walmart nickname, always knows if they do not like it ‘here’ they can always leave because there are those long lines to replace them. So Walmart couldn’t care less about the low pay people’s turnovers. Many associates talked about those as the reasons for the low pay and the poor treatment in the Walmart Flag Ship store across the street from their Home Office. I bet that isn’t the only store like that. It is also talked about that this is typical big business retail so it is not exclusive to Walmart I believe.
        You give the people what they want and at a price they are willing to pay. You said “Also how they manage to fool the millions of customers who continue to patronize the stores despite the sneaky degradation of products that you allege?”.
        I was a Walmart Business analyst at Walmart’s Home Office. Who cares, right. I knew many of the execs and a number of the buyers. I heard stuff from both those groups. I asked a Walmart Global Ethics Manger some questions about what I heard. I would ask, “I hear Walmart has told their fabric, clothing and housewares to put fewer threads per sq inch in their products so they can buy and sell for less and maintain their margins. Is this true?” He had to think for a moment on how he would answer me. He said “Well, so many of our customers cannot afford higher prices so we ask our suppliers to lesson the products so we can sell more”. OK.
        I also know it was said that Walmart electronics are “less threaded” too. LOL, once I while still working for Wally I was shopping in a near by Best Buys. I saw and walked up to the Walmart President of Walmart International. He was buying a huge Sony TV. I asked him why, since he too would get an associate discount at WM He shushed me and whispered that this was for his family and he wanted quality.
        Stuff like TVs, PCs. The returns show some indications of that. I bought a Microwave form them when I first moved to Bentonville and started working for WM. Within 3 weeks the metal siding bubbled on the outside and it wasn’t near the stove. That never happened to me before with all the nukers I owned over the years.
        Hewlett-Packard. About 4 years ago Walmart started selling HP PCs and stuff. I thought it was strange because they didn’t usually sell through stores but since WM is the largest market they went for it with whatever deal they made…
        They sold pretty well but within a month or so, on average, the returns were drastically high, way higher than the average PC returns but the normal was high I always thought. I wondered about the HP returns so I went and asked some of the customers at different times. The return slips said they just wouldn’t work right or at all. Several customers told me when they brought the HP PC back Walmart customer service would tell them to call the manufacturer-deal with them at first. When they did that they were told by HP “We are sorry sir/ma’am but the mother boards are Walmart design and they didn’t give us any replacements”. Cheaper mother boards were used and they were faulty, according to HP. HP wasn’t offered by Walmart the next year.
        Now let’s get into a little economic and retail strategy by a retailer with heavy clout and wants to use it. To sell in a particular market the manufacturer has to build an inventory that will work for the size of that market- makes sense. They tend to over produce so they have enough and they consider a return and replace number to keep up. Walmart, it is said, will do a decent enough contract with the vendor the first year but when contract renewal times comes up the manufacturer is told something along the lines “well, we need to lower the price on the shelves so you need to charge us less per and if that means your lowering the quality of the engineering so be it”. This puts the manufacturer is a bad position. Either they comply or they are stuck with their large inventory with not a lot of places to sell so they comply or they do what some have done – choke on that inventory and some have gone out of business. With Walmart you play their ways or you don’t. Do some research on the relationship between Snapper Mower and Walmart.
        Walmart will publicly deny all this but so many know about it. Walmart deals in huge volume so they do not care but it is all for the benefit and protection of Big Walmart.
        The last thing you said to me in your pose was “Dramatic success in this world always attracts sensational opposition among those who don’t truly understand and accept the consequences of free choice (the free market is by far the most democratic voting system in existence)”.
        I very much agree, especially with “(the free market is by far the most democratic voting system in existence)” but how an entity does its business and their free enterprise will determine their ethics.
        I think I have answered your questions fairly well, I think. Now I might wonder what you will assume and go off on your tangents as you so eagerly do. This was fun. :-) .
        By the way, in the stores there are always big prices being made. Many prices go down that week but so many go up as well. Normal stuff.
        Mac, I was mocking the simpleton who seemed to think that Walmart could benefit its large shareholders without simultaneously benefiting its small shareholders proportionally. If you had any desire to challenge your biases, this was a perfect opportunity when your bias against wealth and power led you to a completely irrational idea (viz, that Walmart could benefit big shareholders without also benefiting small shareholders in equal proportion). I don’t know whether you are hopelessly uneducable, but I’m not willing to invest more of my time in that endeavor.
      • macgyver1948
        Liberty Lover… I am not biased against large wealth, I want it. My biases are against greed, conflict of interest, and a so-called “representative” who sells his vote to that big greedy wealth and forgets his constituents. See that, you are assuming again.
      • macgyver1948
        OOOOPPert EEEEpert … Obama is so long and dull. I remember trying to read the Warren Commission report on the JFK killing. It was the worst but a great sleeping pill… What Nanci Poloci, spelling but who cares, said, something to the effect of “let it pass first and then we can read it”, whatever. That I did not like. We need to know and understand bills before they can be voted. Congress people need to know and understand them too and not just listen to how their party wants them to vote. IF you are a senator or a House guy why bother reading any bill if your bosses tell you how to vote? No representation for us in that.
        I still think what Roberts did with his crossing lines was something to wonder about. He may have had a reason and we do not know it yet. SCOTUS was losing favor with the people so who knows his reasons.
        We will differ on which is worse, Roberts’ vote or Citizens United. I see the CU decision as a way for our politicians to be purchased easier than before and no one will know who is buying who. It is now a blind auctions with only the buyers knowing what is going on until their owners let them know what they want of them.
        Dodd-Frank was 2, 200 pages long, full of so many regulations that will hurt financial industry & not stop another bailout…the Dems are terrible these days, far worse than the Repubs. they OVER-REGULATE to gain control
      • OOOOOPPPert EEEEPert
        There are only 2 possibilities, either Obama is trying to intentionally destroy the country’s economy, or he is the stupidest man who ever lived…..my choice would be the former, if you study his psychological make-up, I think he hates America & freedom, its just not in his consciousness, he is not part of the mandala of this nation, he is an interloper. Jimmy Carter was a boob, but at least you knew he cared about the country & loved it.
        Right now, Rand Paul has put forth: A Balanced Budget Amendment, a plan that could balance the budget within 5 years & cut a lot of bureaus & depts. we don’t need, a bill that would stop our aid to Pakistan unless they free Dr. Afridi, the Dr. who helped us capture bin Laden, A National Right to Work Bill that would free us from the grip of the unions & help the economy,, Abill to take away the guns & excessive powers of the FDA, A Life at Conception Act that would overturn the judicial mistake of Roe v. Wade & protect our youngest citizens…Harry Reid is blocking a vote on Afridi, The Right to work bill & the audit the Fed bill by Ron Paul, that has already passed Congress, that would stsrt holding these SOBs somewhat accountable & enlighten Americans about this private bank that is robbing us everyday…During the whole healthcare debacle Ron Paul had a 10-point plan for healthcare that would detach it from employment & free up businesses, so they could start to hire more people, he voted against the GM bailout, the stimulus, the bank bailouts & has warned us over & over that we need to stop kicking the can down the road & make the tough decisions needed to fix this nation, especially the economy.
        Yet, many on each side think they are radicals.
      “The US consumer demand for oil in July was the lowest since 1995″. Sorry to burst your bubble but I have heard that before so in other words the news outlets are getting the news out.         And where are the demands for an investigation of the execution-style murders of two male members of Wright’s church said to be involved sexually with Obama? And the death by poison of a forensics expert in the coroner’s office that performed the autopsy on the body of Andrew Breitbart?
      This piece of garbage is one of the biggest batches of lies and disinformation I have seen in some time. There is some truth being reported in the media. This is not. Please people you really need to get out and go fact checking. The economy collapsed before Obama. It took 8 years of George Bush to destroy our economy.         4% unemployment under Bush, get your head out of where the sun don’t shine Mike, the blame Bush card doesn’t play anymore, obama has had 3 1/2 years to fix things and after about 5 trillion dollars in debt and no CHANGE, go FORWARD with his plans to make us a marxist nation, helped out the unions because they are socialist in nature and spent more money then Corps. Wow, some people should read the good book, says those who are evil lean to the left, the righteous to the right. LOL
      • rollie benson
        You are an msnbc moron–The economy was doing pretty well until 2006 when the dems took control of congress. Bush had no control after that. obama had complete control of all three branches for two years after he was elected and made things worse! Don’t you understand deficit and debt ? In 3 1/2 years obama amd dems in the senate have tripled our debt ..
      • AppraisHer
        @Mike Hennessy. The last 2 years of Bush’s second term was a Pelosi-headed democrat controlled house and senate. We had Dodd and Frank pushing bad, low income loans thru FANNIE and FREDDIE, while McCain and the Repubs tried to get them audited (the in control dems said no). Barry had a Dem controled house and senate for 3 years and didn’t care to address unemployment (except to save union pensions and overpaid union jobs). He wasted trillion$ of middle class dollars to bail out banks and insurance companies, billion$ on bankrupt green energy and more billion$ on Obamatax. The Bush excuse is really old, 5 years of a democrat controlled congress and the boy king own this economy, the debt he incured and the massive unemployment it created. He made a bad economy exponentially worse with with nothing more than a .1% overall unemployment improvement, no energy policy, no budget and no plan but more taxes. Barry is only a failure if you believe he wanted to improve America, but he told us that what he was going to do was, “fundamentally change the way America does business” or in other words force the people work for the government and let the government decide who gets the profts. That’s what communists do and he’s very successful at that.
        Obama’s house of cards
        By PAUL SPERRY
        Last Updated:12:53 PM, July 22, 2012
        Posted:10:04 PM, July 21, 2012
        With studies showing home foreclosures hitting blacks and Latinos hardest, the Obama administration’s answer is baffling as well as destructive — to lend them more money, repeating the cycle of easy credit that led to the housing boom and bust.
        A new AARP report finds that even elderly minorities are facing serious mortgage delinquencies. Fifty-and-over African-Americans, for example, are almost twice as likely to lose their home as older whites.
        “This crisis is far from over,” AARP policy chief Debra Whitman said. “We need to think about more creative solutions.”
        President Obama’s solutions, however, look a lot like the original problems that landed minorities in the financial mess they’re in today.
        For starters, his new consumer credit watchdog agency has quietly adopted weaker, minority-friendly mortgage underwriting guidelines first published in a landmark 1994 policy statement released by the little-known Interagency Task Force on Fair Lending.
        The 20-page “Policy Statement on Discrimination in Lending” — signed by the heads of 10 federal agencies, including then-Attorney General Janet Reno — warned banks that “the agencies will not tolerate lending discrimination in any form.”
        It was a noble goal — undercut by the fact that the statement also set lower standards by which banks could qualify low-income minorities with spotty credit.
        “Applying different lending standards or offering different levels of assistance to applicants who are members of a protected (minority) class is permissible in some circumstances,” it said. “Providing different treatment to applicants to address past discrimination would be permissible if done in response to a court order.”
        The policy planted the seeds of the mortgage crisis, as lenders abandoned prudent underwriting standards altogether. Yet the 1-year-old Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, which was created by the Dodd-Frank financial overhaul, has dusted off the Clinton-era regulation.
        “The CFPB, which did not exist at that time, concurs with the policy statement,” the bureau said in a recent bulletin outlining its policy on battling against “lending discrimination.”
        Separately, CFPB chief Richard Cordray announced last week that the agency will, for the first time, regulate the credit-reporting bureaus that provide the credit scores lenders use to assess the default risk of loan applicants.
        The CFPB has been soliciting complaints from minorities with damaged credit who claim the reports are inaccurate and racially biased. The agency assumes as few as 60% of consumer credit profiles are accurate.
        But a recent comprehensive review by the non-profit, non-partisan think tank Policy and Economic Research Council found that 99.5% are free of material errors.
        The Federal Reserve, moreover, found no bias in credit scoring in a 2007 national sample of more than 300,000 credit bureau records. In fact, it found scores typically underestimate the risk posed by African-American borrowers, who on average “show consistently higher incidences of bad (loan) performance than would be predicted” by their scores.
        That isn’t stopping the administration from trying to correct perceived injustices.
        Cordray says CFPB will rewrite the rules for how the private credit bureaus collect, maintain and analyze such data. He is working on “reforming” the system with the liberal Center for Responsible Lending and other housing activists who believe it denies minorities the credit they deserve.
        The federal government also isn’t shy about fining and suing banks to get its way.
        CFPB also has been working closely with the Justice Department to enhance fair lending enforcement. Justice has pressured banks to relax their mortgage underwriting standards and approve loans for minorities with poor credit as part of a new crackdown on alleged discrimination, court documents show.
        Attorney General Eric Holder, who served as Reno’s deputy, has filed a record number of fair-lending enforcement actions against lenders. More than 60 investigations are active or said to be in the pipeline, and dozens of banks have already settled, including giants Wells Fargo and Bank of America.
        Prosecutions have already generated more than $550 million in rebates, loan set-asides and other subsidies from banks that have settled out of court rather than battle the federal government and risk being branded racist by the media.
        Leading the charge is Holder’s top civil-rights cop, Thomas Perez, another Clinton retread. Perez has compared bankers to Klansmen, arguing that while bankers may discriminate “with a smile” and “fine print,” it’s “every bit as destructive as the cross burned in a neighborhood.”
        He says predatory lenders must now “repair some of the damage done to (minority) communities.”
        Settlements include requirements to lend to blacks and Hispanics at below-market rates — regardless of their creditworthiness — and to open bank branches in minority neighborhoods blighted by the recession — regardless of their economic feasibility.
        For example, the government has ordered Midwest BankCentre to set aside millions of dollars in “special financing” for residents living in predominantly black areas of St. Louis. The program includes originating conventional home loans at fixed prime rates for African-American borrowers “who would ordinarily not qualify for such rates for reasons including the lack of required credit quality, income or down payment.”
        The same federal order, signed last year, praises Midwest for adopting “less stringent underwriting criteria” while under investigation.
        In the case against Citizens Bank of Detroit, also settled last year, the US decrees that “the bank may choose to apply more flexible underwriting standards in connection with the programs under this order.”
        In several cases, including this month’s $175 million Wells Fargo settlement, the government has ordered bank defendants to “prominently display” in all their branches and marketing materials a notice informing minority customers that they cannot be turned down for loans because they receive public aid — such as unemployment benefits, welfare payments or food stamps.
        “It is illegal to discriminate in any credit transaction,” the court-mandated poster says, “because income is from public assistance.”
        Among other remedies: down-payment assistance for low-income minority borrowers and massive marketing and advertising campaigns in minority media to publicize that such assistance is available.
        Wells Fargo, for instance, must “provide targeted marketing regarding Borrower Assistance Grants” of up to $15,000 per borrower in predominantly African-American and Hispanic communities, according to federal court documents filed by the Justice Department.
        Wells must spend at least $50 million directly on down-payment assistance, closing-cost assistance and/or home renovation financing in connection with the purchase of a home. The subsidies are separate from the $125 million in compensation Wells is ordered to pay alleged victims of loan pricing discrimination, who have yet to be identified by the government.
        Like Bank of America and other defendants, Wells must also turn over any unclaimed funds to community organizing groups approved by the government.
        Already, millions of dollars have gone into escrow. Clones of the activist group ACORN, which pressure banks to ease underwriting rules, stand to benefit from the government-imposed funding.
        Justice spokeswoman Xochitl Hinojosa said the anti-discrimination notice “does not compel the banks to make loans to people who do not qualify.”
        But critics say the policies do exactly that — and that government is recreating the easy credit environment that led up to the mortgage crisis.
        “It’s absolutely outrageous after what we’ve just gone through,” said former Rep. Ernest Istook, a Heritage Foundation fellow.
        The Independent Community Bankers of America calls it “extortion.” The group’s president, Camden Fine, has fired off a letter to Holder complaining he “does not have the authority to dictate that banks make a certain number of loans in minority areas where the banks are not located.”
        He and other industry officials say Holder is trying to boost minority homeownership rather than just enforce civil-rights law.
        Holder also appears to be acting as a bank regulator.
        In the Wells Fargo case, for example, his prosecutors ordered the bank to, among other things: rewrite its loan pricing policies; fire mortgage brokers; put managers and loan officers through “equal credit opportunity training”; and create minority homebuyer assistance programs.
        Holder appears to be dusting off the playbook he used to prosecute banks as deputy attorney general under the Clinton administration.
        In a landmark case, he accused Chevy Chase Bank of discriminating against blacks in the Washington area. He not only ordered it to open branches in poor neighborhoods, but actually “target” blacks for home loans through black radio and newspapers.
        The high-profile case sent a chill throughout the industry. The American Bankers Association tried to inoculate members from similar charges by distributing a “fair lending toolbox” with new underwriting guidelines tailored to the needs of minorities.
        Warriors from that era find Holder’s new crusade even more aggressive.
        “It is well beyond anything we saw during the Clinton administration,” said Washington lawyer Andrew Sandler, who advises banks on fair-lending compliance.
        Despite the settlements, the industry insists Holder has not produced evidence of lending discrimination and is conducting a “witch hunt” against banks.
        The Wells Fargo case is emblematic. After a three-year investigation, Holder accused Wells of charging blacks and Latinos a “racial surtax” for subprime mortgages — or charging them higher fees and rates based on the color of their skin without regard for credit risk.
        But in the 29-page consent decree, Wells insists its borrower data proves that its subprime borrowers had “significantly weaker credit characteristics” than its prime borrowers.
        In other words, black, white or brown, the alleged “victims” would not have qualified for traditional mortgages.
        The bank also asserted that its loan files would show no evidence of racial discrimination if prosecutors had conducted “an appropriate analysis” of them.
        As in other cases, prosecutors drew their conclusions from statistical analysis showing “disparities” in loan pricing. However, the computer models — which were developed by a former top Center for Responsible Lending official — do not control for all credit risk variables. The former community organizer, Eric Halperin, was hired by Perez as the department’s first-ever special counsel for fair lending.
        Wells says it settled “solely for the purpose of avoiding contested litigation with the Department of Justice.” So far, Holder has not had to prove any of his allegations of bank discrimination in court.
        Also, his findings are at odds with recent reports by career bank regulators.
        Almost all the defendants have strong records serving minority residential areas under the Community Reinvestment Act, an anti-redlining law that monitors the volume of bank lending in minority areas. Wells Fargo, for one, scored an “outstanding” grade in its last CRA exam.
        The CFPB doesn’t like the ethnic makeup of bank regulators, either. It seeks to diversify the entire federal regulatory workforce, including the Federal Reserve.
        In fact, it recently hired a director for its Office of Minority and Women Inclusion, which will focus on promoting diversity at all the federal agencies regulating banks as well as private contractors and the financial firms it polices.
        The CFPB has the power under Dodd-Frank to set hiring standards — critics call them racial quotas — for the bank regulatory bodies. Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters, a member of the Congressional Black Caucus and the House banking committee that wrote Dodd-Frank, authored the controversial requirement. She says the diversity offices will help change the face of what she calls a white-male dominated Wall Street.
        Home loans may only be the first step.
        Dodd-Frank also has given CFPB the authority to collect from banks small-business lending data by race. Community organizers hope the data will provide as great a stimulus for minority small business lending as mortgage data has provided for minority homeownership.
        All of these steps are being taken in the name of diversity or anti-discrimination. But they’re really an assault on capitalism. The government is telling banks they must lend money to people whether they can repay the money or not.
        In the end, it will be the minorities Obama and Holder are trying to help who will be hurt most.
        If a family is given a loan they wouldn’t otherwise qualify for, what happens when they can’t pay? They’re driven into debt, they lose their home. If the Democrats are in power, the banks will be blamed again, and the credit score cleaned up by a kindly government agent.
        But it doesn’t change the underlying problem.
        Minority Americans, like all Americans, need jobs to get a loan they can afford, and the opportunities to improve their own credit score.
        They don’t need a handout that later turns into a slap in the face.
        Mike: What is wrong with you? Haven’t you been paying attention to the statistics that tell the truth about the economy? Are you so-in-the-tank for Obama that you refuse to face facts? Do you honestly believe Obama has your best interest at heart, considering all the malfeasance and fraud being committed in the name of his administration? People who supported him in ’08 are jumping ship like rats on the Titanic! Wake Up, Mike, and smell the foul odor coming from the White House!
      • http://none Libtardharvestor
        Lets remember that The squatter-in-chief has only been in office a little over 3 1/2 years. Now bush made lots of mistakes and acted like a democrat to damn often, but his 8 years in office were pure sunshine compared to the Kenyan Cowboy’s term. Remember that HE spent the tarp funds that HE pushed through quickly and quietly on the unions that supported HIM. after 6 months it’s not Bush anymore. Hell, THEY’RE not even trying to spin that ball of fertilizer! You libtards simply cannot, or will not see that the laws of logic, economics, and common sense are against you. For God’s Sake get help!
      • William Eckhardt
        To believe that if Mitt takes office only one version of Democrat bull about Mitt is going to happen would mean Obama could tell you to jump off a cliff and you would do it for him because he can see into the future and knows all. I needed a good laugh today. Thank you.
      • KENYAN KRUSHER
        yeah , Obama can see into future, 4 more years of this devil & it will be …a future of us totally bankrupt & under NDAA law !!!
      • Jeff
        If you don’t like the NDAA, urge the Republican Congress not to vote for it. Obama has no control over the House whatsoever.
      • KENYAN KRUSHER
        He’s the worst ever except for FDR, his idol!!!
        Here’s some disinformation for you, Mike. Check out Rahm’s record in Chicago. We know why he got out of the frying pan. I guess Holder wants jail time later too. America knows the truth, its very evident. Conservative or Liberal, what has that got to do with survival of our nation. That loser has got to leave and what did you expect 4 years ago hope and change. I just hope you change before election day.
      • Jeff
        Was that supposed to make sense? I guess I should have finished my dissertation in Gibberish.
      • KENYAN KRUSHER
      • Jeff
        In 2002, Ryan extolled the virtues of stimulus spending. In 2009, he said it was wasteful. Which is “the way it is?” Or does it depend on the party of the President and who might get credit if the economy improves?
        And if you want to be taken seriously anywhere but here, drop the idiotic name. I bet you could get a job telling Donald Trump how wonderful, powerful, and handsome he is all day long and how he could have beaten that Kenyan if he hadn’t been too busy hiring or firing Gary Busey.
      • KENYAN KRUSHER
        Even the despicable Rahm left Obozo, because he thought KenyanKare was no good!!! Why do you think Sumers & others he hired to help him with economy left??? He would not listen to any of their moderate advice & why? Because he’s intentionally trying to ruin USA!!!
        See “2016″,,,Obama Zombies, if you got the guts !!!!!
        The Mahoney Man says: If you are the party that endorses the legalized murder of innocent life in the womb and also would like taxpayers to pay for it, and now pay for transgender operations as well and incessantly crusades for the government to sanctify the marriage of homosexuals and lesbians, there is no need to mention God, is there?
      • macgyver1948
        Baloney Toney Mahoney …. Surely transgender operations would come under the heading of elective and not necessary operations. Well, that is unless those wanting them can get a shrink or 2 to swear it is for their psychological and emotional well being. I hate what I am about to say. For once I agree with insurance companies in their insistence on paying only for necessary operations and procedures. Ouch that hurt to defend insurance companies, LOL.
      • Baloney Toney Mahoney
        The Mahoney Man says; Well, there you had the infamous Sandra Fluke at DNC drumming up support for taxpayer funding of these transgender ops….just like Contraceptives & abortifacents like ELLA & RU-486.
      Chrissie:
      You and Root are pathetic little nobodies. If it makes you feel significant to snipe at Obama with your nonsense, have at it, but don’t think you’re convincing anyone of anything but your own idiocy.
        The Mahoney Man says: Hey, Jeff, I’m a Horton fan…he does not have an ounce of Baloney in him!!!!
