Removing The Scales

Like Saul, the American people are now being led blindly to Damascus.

As [Saul] was traveling, it happened that he was approaching Damascus, and suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him; and he fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?” And he said, “Who are You, Lord?” And He said, “I am Jesus whom you are persecuting, but get up and enter the city, and it will be told you what you must do.” The men who traveled with him stood speechless, hearing the voice but seeing no one. Saul got up from the ground, and though his eyes were open, he could see nothing; and leading him by the hand, they brought him into Damascus. (Acts 9:3-8, NASB)

Like Saul, the American people are now being led blindly to Damascus. Unlike Saul, their journey is not heaven-inspired.

Americans have been brainwashed by constant fearmongering from government propagandists to believe there are terrorists under every rock who are driven by a desire to kill us because of our way of life. This is part of a disinformation campaign.

What Americans aren’t told is that those terrorists have been created in response to American imperialism. And what’s worse, they have been aided and abetted by agents in government or on behalf of government — both in the United States and other countries — through training and the supply of weapons and explosives.

In reality, the United States’ goal is to control the Mideast and North Africa. It uses terrorism in other countries and the threat of terrorism — and actual false-flag incidents — here to achieve this.

America’s goal is to factionalize and destabilize the region for America’s benefit and the benefit of Saudi Arabia and Israel. These countries, along with Turkey, essentially own American government through bribes, cronyism, weapons purchases, etc.

The United States began its Mideast coup in 1951 when Kermit Roosevelt, a grandson of Theodore Roosevelt and a CIA agent, was sent to Iran to organize a revolt against that country’s democratically elected prime minister, Mohammed Mossadegh, after Mossadegh nationalized Iran’s petroleum assets, cutting out the British petroleum company that would later become known as BP.

Mossadegh, TIME magazine’s “Man of the Year” in 1951, outraged Great Britain by his actions. But England and America feared that a direct military response would provoke the Soviet Union. So Roosevelt went in and used payoffs and threats to organize a series of street riots and violent demonstrations. These created the sense that Mossadegh was unpopular (he wasn’t) and inept.

By the end of the year, Mossedegh was forced out. He spent the rest of his days under house arrest. The United States installed its puppet, Mohammed Reza Shah, as Iran’s dictator, and Roosevelt’s success ushered in a new mode of empire building that continues to this day.

For years afterward, the United States continued to employ this tactic to subjugate other countries and exploit their resources. But rather than using direct CIA involvement as in Iran, more subtle means were used. Large corporations, aided by CIA front groups and using money from the U.S. Treasury laundered through the World Bank, went in and bought off the leadership of targeted countries with pie-in-the-sky infrastructure improvement projects and bribes. If the leadership balked, jackals — CIA operatives — came in and offered presidents and prime ministers “deals they couldn’t refuse.” Those who did refuse died under mysterious circumstances or saw their countries attacked by the United States in “police actions.” 1

Most of the so-called Arab Spring revolutions that began last year were similar operations. It’s easy to see which ones were backed by America and which were spontaneous revolts against totalitarianism. For instance, in Bahrain, where a U.S. puppet rules and the U.S. Fifth Fleet is based, anti-government protesters were shot by government forces — aided by American military personnel, arrested and fired from their jobs. This story barely made a blip in the mainstream media. In the stories that did run, the revolts were couched as Iran-inspired unrest.

Yet when anti-government protests began in Egypt, Libya and Syria, America and/or NATO intervened on the side of the protesters. That’s because it was time to remove a puppet (Egypt’s Hosni Mubarak) or do away with recalcitrant leaders who refused to play along (Moammar Gadhafi in Libya and Bashar Assad in Syria).

If you don’t think America didn’t control events in Egypt, you aren’t thinking. The same tactics Roosevelt used in Iran in 1951 were employed in Egypt: Agents provocateur sowed the seeds of unrest to destabilize and overthrow a government — in this case one that had been a useful puppet of America and enriched by American dollars for many years.

The U.S. government is publicly bemoaning Egypt’s takeover by the Muslim Brotherhood. But the Muslim Brotherhood’s ties go to the top of the State Department. And the revolution led by the Muslim Brotherhood, the April 6 Youth Movement and Kifaya were funded and directed by the National Endowment for Democracy, a State Department/CIA front group. Some of these players have ties to American CIA operations as far back as the 1999 bombings of Yugoslavia and the caretaker government installed in Serbia. (As an aside, the NED and/or other CIA front groups and some of the same players behind Arab Spring organized and funded the Occupy Wall Street movement. Details of all these ties can be read here and here.)

Egypt’s new president is Muslim Brotherhood candidate Mohammed Morsi. Morsi’s wife served in the women’s division of the Muslim Brotherhood with Saleha Mahmood Abedin. Abedin’s daughter is Huma Abedin, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s deputy chief of staff and the wife of disgraced former Congressman Anthony Weiner. (Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice was also on very friendly terms with women’s division and invited them into the White House.)

In March 2007, Seymour Hersh wrote about the U.S. alliance with the Muslim Brotherhood and Saudi Arabia and their efforts to destroy Shiite Muslims and factionalize Muslim countries. Quoting Vali Nasr, a senior fellow with the Council on Foreign Relations:

“The Saudis have considerable financial means, and have deep relations with the Muslim Brotherhood and the Salafis”—Sunni extremists who view Shiites as apostates. “The last time Iran was a threat, the Saudis were able to mobilize the worst kinds of Islamic radicals. Once you get them out of the box, you can’t put them back.”

The Saudi royal family has been, by turns, both a sponsor and a target of Sunni extremists, who object to the corruption and decadence among the family’s myriad princes. The princes are gambling that they will not be overthrown as long as they continue to support religious schools and charities linked to the extremists. The Administration’s new strategy is heavily dependent on this bargain.

Nasr compared the current situation to the period in which Al Qaeda first emerged. In the nineteen-eighties and the early nineties, the Saudi government offered to subsidize the covert American C.I.A. proxy war against the Soviet Union in Afghanistan. Hundreds of young Saudis were sent into the border areas of Pakistan, where they set up religious schools, training bases, and recruiting facilities. Then, as now, many of the operatives who were paid with Saudi money were Salafis. Among them, of course, were Osama bin Laden and his associates, who founded Al Qaeda, in 1988.

This time, the U.S. government consultant told me, Bandar and other Saudis have assured the White House that “they will keep a very close eye on the religious fundamentalists. Their message to us was ‘We’ve created this movement, and we can control it.’ It’s not that we don’t want the Salafis to throw bombs; it’s who they throw them at—Hezbollah, Moqtada al-Sadr, Iran, and at the Syrians, if they continue to work with Hezbollah and Iran.”

In Libya, the U.S./NATO-financed and armed “rebels” were al-Qaida forces who had previously fought against American troops in Afghanistan and Iraq. They routinely attacked civilians and laid blame on the Gadhafi government. Once they had sufficiently destabilized the country and Gadhafi brought out his military in an effort to retain power, America intervened for “humanitarian” reasons. What’s humane about NATO bombs falling on and killing hundreds of thousands of civilians was never explained. Nor was why the United States was supposedly fighting al-Qaida forces in the so-called “War on Terror” while supporting them in their effort to overthrow a popular leader in Libya.

Now that Gadhafi is gone, the Muslim Brotherhood is moving in to fill the political vacuum.

The United States is now using the same playbook in Syria, but with a twist. Heavily armed Syrian rebels are massacring civilians — as rebels did in Libya — and blaming Assad. Evidence of U.S. and NATO intervention comes in the form of the weapons the rebels are using.

According to Debkafile, British special forces have been operating inside Syria since May 26. And in an apparent false-flag operation, NATO member Turkey sent one of its planes into Syrian territory where it was shot down in a Gulf of Tonkin-style false-flag incident designed to give legitimacy to NATO intervention.

Turkey’s involvement is especially insidious given revelations by former FBI interpreter and later whistleblower Sibel Edmonds. In her new book, Classified Woman, (which I will review Thursday), Edmonds says she stumbled upon evidence that Turkish elements had ties to 9/11 that reached up through the FBI, the State Department and into Congress and the George W. Bush Administration.

What she found was that people in American government were willing to sell — or facilitate the sale of — arms and information to the highest bidder regardless of whether the buyers were enemies or friends. When she tried to report these revelations to her superiors, they shut her up. Finally, she was harassed, fired by the FBI, gagged by the Department of Justice and the courts and stymied in her attempts to report to Congress. Even though she could name names, the 9/11 Commission wouldn’t consider her testimony, Republicans in Congress ignored her because she was naming Republicans, and Democrats in Congress wouldn’t touch her because some Democrats were involved.

The problem the American war machine now faces is similar to the one it faced in 1951. Russia — with China’s backing — has said “no more” to American imperialism and indicated an American or NATO response in Syria or Iran might provoke a military response. A miscalculation by either side would have tragic consequences for the world.
Now there was a disciple at Damascus named Ananias; and the Lord said to him in a vision, “Ananias.” And he said, “Here I am, Lord.”  And the Lord said to him, “Get up and go to the street called Straight, and inquire at the house of Judas for a man from Tarsus named Saul, for he is praying, and he has seen in a vision a man named Ananias come in and lay his hands on him, so that he might regain his sight.” But Ananias answered, “Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how much harm he did to Your saints at Jerusalem; and here he has authority from the chief priests to bind all who call on Your name.”  But the Lord said to him, “Go, for he is a chosen instrument of Mine, to bear My name before the Gentiles and kings and the sons of Israel; for I will show him how much he must suffer for My name’s sake.”  So Ananias departed and entered the house, and after laying his hands on him said, “Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road by which you were coming, has sent me so that you may regain your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.”  And immediately there fell from his eyes something like scales, and he regained his sight, and he got up and was baptized; and he took food and was strengthened. (Acts 9:10-19, NASB)
Americans have been propagandized into believing the country’s motives in the Mideast are about defeating terrorism and spreading democracy. But the motives are much more sinister.

And just like Ananias had to be convinced that the stories he had heard about Saul no longer applied, Americans must understand America’s motives aren’t as altruistic as they’ve been led to believe. They must remove the scales from their eyes and see the Mideast situation for what it really is. It’s not about fighting a War on Terror or about humanitarian intervention.

This must be understood, and America’s leadership must be stopped before it gets to Damascus.

Nice comments from others. I agree that ALL our “choices” for president have just been which Puppet we want and it doesn’t matter because they’re ALL OWNED by the New World Order folks.
What I don’t get is whether the NWO folks actually WANT Islamists to take over and if not, what do they plan to do with them after taking control of the middle east and africa

    • Michael J.

      stevor,
Politicians can be purchased cheaply, Dictators can not. Politicians can be monetarily incentivised to write and pass legislation that slowly hands over sovereignty to the NWO. Dictators on the other hand, feel they own the land, it’s resources and the people who inhabit the land. Most dictators are already very wealthy, what could you offer them that would convince them to hand over their country and the gold mine they are accustomed to robbing?

The answer is nothing, you instead encite their own populace to over throw them and allow a group like The Muslim Brotherhood to believe they’ll be in charge. At least for a little while, until you corupt their members one at a time slowly, imperceptively, until their regime becomes like a house riddled with termites and ready to colapse, like ours.

        Thanks for your reply.
So, hillary and the others who cozy up to Islam are just setting them up for a BIG FALL? Hillary has such close ties to Islam, her lesbian lover, Uma Weiner, being close to them.

Woe be unto anyone who does business with the Hildebeast. She worships only herself and Saul Alinsky.

Contrary to your statement in the email update,we are being stalked by terrorists. The key fact you have missed is that the terrorists work for the government and we are paying for the priveledge of being stalked. Day by day our freedom diminishes with no clear end in sight. Getting rid of the current crop in the WH and senate may help but the real question is for how long. When the doorbell rings and the visitor says we are from the government and we’re here to help you, run for your life.

    • Jimmy The Greek

I don’t think they well ring the doorbell , they well kick it down the door in the middle of the night .

What is really needed in this country is a main stream tv news show that tells the truth and can expose all the lies. If the public understood the truth about the FED, Social Security and that the new health care law and the others just mentioned are all just ways to fund big government, eslave the masses, things might change.

    • Nancy in Nebraska

True! But one can dream, can’t they?

      • Vicki

No need to dream. We have the worlds largest network. And we are using it right here. Right now. The Internet. Freedom of the press is for those who own the presses. And now we ALL have our own press.

      • Robert Rashbrooke

There is an alternative TV station you can watch that presents the “truth”, or certainly an opposing view to the main stream, namely Link TV . Or you can try Current TV, it will unfortunately be similar in format to the other stations but with an opposing view.

If you think that Fox IS fair and impartial, I guess we are sunk!

    • 45caliber

      Dave:

Sadly, that was what our “free” press was supposed to do – keep us informed of all such things. They were to investigate any suspected problem or illegal act in government and let us, the people, know so we could keep it straight and get rid of those who were crooked. Unfortunately, the crooked people have taken over the MSM and have used it instead to try to enslave us to government control and power. I’m sure Benjamin Franklin and other such editors are rolling over in their graves at the course MSM has taken now. They are as bad or worse than any news media run by Russia or China ever was.

Tell Congress you’ve already won your war on terror, by NOT being afraid.

“Courage is grace under pressure.” — Ernest Hemingway

Terrorists aim to cause fear, and by feeling fear we’ve given them what they want.

We believe it’s possible to win the war on terror instantly. All we have to do is stop being afraid, and stop acting out of fear.

This makes sense not only in terms of defeating the terrorists’ intentions, but also in terms of managing the terrorist threat.

To us, America’s fear of terrorism is like a cat being afraid of a mouse. Actually, it’s worse than that, because all the terrorists in all the world amount to no more than an anemic mosquito on the snout of a whale.

It is easy to spin past deeds and situations into a conspiracy. Not that I believe a word the govt says. The line ” What’s humane about NATO bombs falling on and killing hundreds of thousands of civilians” fails the smell test badly and puts Bob’s whole argument in a weak position.
The CIA has been involved in regime changes. ie.. Chile that cannot be denied. The only recourse is a small govt so the roaches has fewer places to hide.

So, is when the heretic hunting and persecutions make their usual appearence? Hey, they both have something in common after all…and this is why the elites, as you described, have had such an easy time marshalling the hate necessary for the conflicts you now currently comdemn. But don’t bother thinking about how we got here in the first place…that would mean putting aside the extreme nationalism Jesus condemned, both in words and deeds.

“We the people” ceded our power long ago. I don’t know if we can ever get it back because the majority are perfectly happy letting someone else do it. Other than that, I agree with what you said.

      • Vicki

of course we can get it back. Look at the world of the 18th century. Look at the superpowers in that world. Look at how many actually supported the King of England.
History can and will repeat itself.

  • http://pauljones5627.wordpress.com pauljoneswright

You of course fail to see that is was religious intolerance and right wing blind faith that started America on this path in the first place, as best personified by the election of 2000 and politicians like Sarah Palin, and all claims by any relgion to an exclusive monopoly on access to the Divine will ALWAYS lead to this path of destruction…and that the Founding Fathers for the most part were in no way what you would define as mainstream dogmatic “Chrisitans”, as they knew better than most from the very recent crusades and religious wars of Europe, combined with the many myriad anti scienctific and spiritual seeking persecutions, tortures and executions, and were in fact open minded spiritual seekers, defying the conventions of their time, conventions of intercine blood and cultural genoicide…which brings us to today. Also, how do you define “nothing”? For some, nothing means no-thing, which is just an acknowledgement of a spiritual realm or force beyond the physical…so in that sense nothing does not exist(nothing being just an empty vaccum) but no-thing or the non material does. I like this quote, “Spirituality is the search for God, an ultimate reality, a transcendent dimension of the world, an inner path enabling a person to discover the essence of his being, or the deepest values and meanings by which people live. Spirituality is often experienced as a source of inspiration or orientation in life. It encompasses belief in immaterial realities or experiences of the immanent or transcendent nature of the world. Spirituality is more personalized, less structured, more open to new ideas, and more pluralistic than religion. Faith is retarded thinking that keeps you away from God. You have to become faithless, in order to start your journey to God! You have to discover God your own way without intermediaries. God’s truth should replace faith. Religion is spiritual slavery. Church is the business of religion. Religious monopoly turns bishops to ayatollahs, and churches to Sodom and Gomor. Spirituality and metaphysics should replace religion. Spirituality is not related to religion. Spirituality and religion lock horns! Many people define themselves as spiritual but not religious. Spirituals believe in the existence of many different spiritual paths, emphasizing the importance of finding one’s own individual path to spirituality. Most people identify themselves as spiritual but not religious. Religion is a memeplex organized by churches, whereas spirituality is defined as an internal individual search.” This being said, is it not odd that most relgious monopolists of the extreme Conservative variety current political foundations are now rooted in something that is very close to social darwinism…and has been defined as such by some…the atheist materialist Ayn Rand.

    • Nancy in Nebraska

There is only ONE path! I don’t care how you find it or where you get on it but this “new age” psychobabble will not lead you to the true GOD! Don’t influence people to “do their own thing”. There is ONE GOD and He has made himself clear. Look for the truth!

      • RichE

        Nancy in Nebraska,
Sorry to butt in, but shouldn’t “Look for the truth” be “Wait for the truth”? Seven thousand years of recorded Chinese history, five thousand of Jewish and no truth found. Me thinks God has everyone on a goose chase.

      • Nancy in Nebraska

We don’t have to “wait” for the truth. It is already here. Those who seek it will find it!

      • http://gravatar.com/bychoosing Jay

        What is, “Truth”, RichE?

      • RichE

What is truth? What works and what is believed to work.

“Professing themselves to be wise they have become fools.” “Why do the heathen rage and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth have taken council against the LORD and His annointed saying lets us break their bands assunder … ”

It amazes me how foolish we have become … but it shouldn’t.

    • daniel

Christ said that He is the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father but by Him. Also stated is that the paths of destruction are many but there is only one that leads to salvation. To make it clear to everyone He also said that all who call upon His name shall in no way be turned away. Since these words were spoken by our Saviour I have a tendency to believe Him over man.
Time and again I have seen the results of mans’ wisdom and it frightens me. Spiritualism is an open can for anybody to define in any manner they want. Being religious as such does not count much either. You can be very spiritual and religious just by the washing of your hands. Your hands can be clean but not the rest of you.
Faith is an altogether different matter. Where your faith is is also where your treasure is. Your faith should be a reflection of your life and vice versa. It seems that you have done a huge amount of comparing religions to find the “answer”. That is a good thing but do yourself one better. Christianity is the only religion in this world that has the Creator paying the price for sin. Man cannot earn salvation or atone for his sins so God has taken it upon Himself to do just that. No other religion can make that statement.

      • Robert kepka

It’s the Father who brings you to the Son and the Son gives it to whoever He will.

    • Mike112769

I agree. Very well said. Religious institutions of all types now preach only intolerance. The churches where I live now run credit checks on you before you can join one. That says it all. Christians are just as intolerant as muslims. I am waiting for their “holy war” to begin in Dearborn any day now. What type of god demands you kill for him? None worth following. Most religious people were raised in church, so have been brainwashed since infancy. You cannot reason with a person that thinks they are doing god’s will. Peace and good luck to you my friend.

      • http://Yahoo Maynard

Christ gave a blueprint for our ethical conduct yet so-called Christians seem to largely be ignoring it. In the Lord’s Prayer he asked us to forgive those who trespass against us. He asked us to love our neighbors and even our enemies as ourselves. Yet we get professed Christians like Mike in PA who said “We should start a gihad (sic) against the government and when we take over we can exterminate the non-believers.”
We complain about the radical Muslim terrorists yet why is our behavior in Afghanistan, Iraq and Pakistan considered to not be terroristic? Do you think the people whose houses are broken into and the males above a certain age taken away, possibly to be imprisoned or tortured, or the people who hear bombs dropping all around them and possibly killing or maiming them and/or their families and neighbors are not terrorized.? What about the little children the drones killed in Pakistan? What about the cases as shown in the video leaked by Wikileaks with helicopter crews wiping out innocent journalists and civilians and even children? Do you think they inflicted a bit of terror in that slaughter?
Why are we doing this? Because the more violence and havoc we inflict, the more future terrorists, who follow the natural tendency to seek revenge, will be created. Then our military-industrial-financial masters can send us to fight them, and the profits and oil they control will continually increase.
What if we wise up and see that both political parties are engaged in this deception? Both direct our fear and insecurity against a foreign menace: First the Communists, now the
terrorists which the ignorant equate with all Muslims. Their arrousal of our insecurities have allowed them to plan ahead for those of us who have the veil removed from our eyes. Police State tactics are pretty much in place now, not for the bugaboo terrorists, but for those of us who have gotten wise to their manipulations. Our political parties claim to be different yet they gave overwhelming bipartisan approval to appropriate $63 billion for domestic drones to intimidate, harass, arrest, even kill US citizens. The FEMA camps await those who refuse to hate and kill the chosen targets. Prolonged detentions with no trials. Executions without recourse. The use of the military for domestic control is already being espoused. You’ve heard the propaganda about how all those trained killers from the trumped-up wars are such excellent capable leaders. Excellent and capable of what? Ruthless obedience to their master’s orders.
Christians, be true to the Saviour. Democrats and Republicans unite against the destruction of our Constitution.

God has never been responsible for the murder of his own, only man could conceive such insanity.

It is man who blames religion for his hatred and prejudice of his fellow man.

God would never except this injustice and would surely eliminate such prejudice with extreme prejudice!

The true gift of our Lord is conscience, and it is we that make the judgment on our own behalf, never on our Lords.

History, as in current events has been blamed on many Gods and wars on many religions, but truth is truth, and God is the only truth!

The responsibility of humanity is us and our conscience.

        The truth goes no further!

Lay blame on those men that have corrupted man and religion in his personal goal of being God, not on the Lord that gives him life!

Man has always been the reason for the destruction of man, but in the end, we will all be judged by our own actions, and will neither lay blame on our Lord or our fellow man!

In the end our actions or inaction stand alone!

      • http://gravatar.com/macgyver1948 macgyver1948

Matrix…. Although I agree with you totally in that it is not God who is to blame I feel in your loyalty you are missing the point. It is never God who would be so greedy and intolerant or others because those others do not agree with Him. God very much allows for many different religions and it is not He who has that evil “Only our ways are right” attitude. God would be that selfish and disrespecting.

But where you might not see the point is it is the people who run the churches/Mosque /temples who can be selfish and greedy and “Holier than thou” in their business of running the church. It isn’t all churches but throughout history there have been many and this is still going on today.

If only all the people who run the churches/Mosque /temples and claim to be of God would really be. Those who blame God are wrong but it isn’t only atheists who are so wrong. And, why are there so many Christian types of churches who claim only they are right and any who aren’t of their church would have to be wrong? What would be the need for all the differences? Maybe you could explain that because I never could understand it.

In other words, why can’t we all just get along and respect each other’s beliefs as much as we want our own respected? That is all denominations within a so-called same kind of religion and for all different religions. The hypocrisies are staggering. To each his/her own faith and I am very much with God and my religion but I respect the right and the beliefs of all faiths equally. I just wonder why other seem to not be able to or just do not want to. I feel if people do not respect the rights and beliefs of others as they want for themselves they do not deserve ANY respect for what they believe, or for themselves, but I will still give it until…

I bet in the eyes of God there is no one right religion.

There is no war on terror. A monstrous hoax and a big lie. the US government has no problem with terror as long as the “right” people are terrorized.

  • JON

What fear mongering?!? I just do what the Master Borg tells me to do. ;-)
The “War On Terror” is just a buzz phrase to keep the masses ill at ease. It is not a winnable type of war, just one that keeps the powers that be continually infusing billions, if not trillions of dollars, into the Military Industrial Complex. If it wasn’t so damn profitable they wouldn’t be doing it. Money isn’t the root of all evil, the love of money is.

    • Norm

Money talks – S**t walks. Welcome to the USA.

    • Steve E

If the government didn’t use terrorist to scare you, they would use Klingons or something else.

      • Nancy in Nebraska

It’s probably coming. People eventually become immune to the fear of that which they’ve become exposed to for an extended period of time. I recommend reading Michael Crichton’s(sp?) book, “State of Fear”.

    • http://gravatar.com/bychoosing Jay

      Precisely, JON!

    • Vicki

      Jon writes:
“The “War On Terror” is just a buzz phrase to keep the masses ill at ease. It is not a winnable type of war….”

Well. Actually it is. But we must do it ourselves. Individually

  • Robert

*correction: and it sure as heck is the terrorists going it. * and it sure as heck (isn’t) the terrorists doing it .

    • Steve E

I too fear the government exponentially more that I fear terrorist. The government can do much more bad things to you (and has done) and get away with it a lot more than a terrorist can.

    • Nancy in Nebraska

Our government has given our enemies (I refuse to say “terrorists” because I feel that our government are the terrorists) plenty of reasons to hate us. For many decades, they have reassured us and told us that they were protecting us. They told us that we were wonderful, that we were the heroes of the world. Only lately are some waking up and removing the scales from our eyes. Our government (on our behalf) has committed many atrocities. When we label this country or that country as our enemies, we must keep in mind that the majority of their peoples are as helpless against their governments as we are against ours. It is the “rulers” who want to be “superpowers”. It is their greed and lust for power that cause the wars and the need for covert operations. I believe that the vast majority of people anywhere in the world just long to live in peace and take care of their families. Those who lust for power detroy life for everyone else. As long as we believe that OUR leaders are not among those who lust for power, that they are only “protecting” us; “we” are no better than “them”!

      • Mike in PA

        Amen Nancy

  • Robert

Out of the two ( our government and terrorists ) I fear our government more. Let me explain. The terrorists would like to kill me (us) at least we know what they want. Now as far as our government, well with the current dictator in the White House who knows what future freedoms, liberties, property, and rights we will continue to lose. I can shoot back at a terrorist, my government I can’t. Each day more and more is being taken away from the American people and it sure as heck is the terrorists doing it.

    • BigBadJohn

Agree, Remember the build up and war in Iraq “if you are reading this in English thank a soldier” As if the Muslims could mount an invasion force to take over the USA. They were playing on fears of the public to the greatest extent.

Our government propaganda is much more of a threat to you and our freedom than any terrorist threat!

      • nc

Big John, the biggest laugher of all was “We have to fight them over there so we don’t have to fight them (the muslims) over here!” We were already spending billions on home land security “to fight them over here” and like you say the 5 biggest Muslims nations in the world didn’t have combined navies large enougn to get enough “troops” on our shores that a well trained sheriff’s department could put their a$$e$ back into the sea!
The wing nuts are the biggest koolaid drinkers in the world!! FAUX NOISE IS THEIR HEAVEN! SUCH SMALL MINDS!!

      • Robert kepka

There is no need for a navy to bring an invasion force of Muslims. They are here now and they are taking over by stealth. Dearborn Michigan is an example. They take over a city by populating it, they then control the local government. It is being done in other parts of the US. and it is being done without firing a shot. They then are able to elect Muslims in congress. Within a few years your voice will be gone. Wake Up America!!

      • BigBadJohn

Robert, You are correct. But isn’t that our form of democracy? This year was the first year in the USA that people of color (all races) had more children than white Americans. The ONLY way to stop the spread is mandatory birth control. Are you willing to go that far for the white race? Or do we let the majority rule as is our heritage?

      • http://www.facebook.com/david.houston.731 David Houston

Our heritage is not majority rule!! We are a republic! If we were operating like the founding fathers intended, we would still be a republic! The founding fathers never intended for the majority to rule. They intended for the individual states and their people to decide what was right for that particular state. They never intended for the federal government to have power over the states, thereby giving the feds power over everyone to impose their will!

  • Flashy

OMG …. aide from completely ignoring the falsehoods perpetrated by the Right during the Bush II/Cheney regime..WHICH BEGAN this so-called War on Terrorism and was the prime reason to rip our Constitution to shreds and frighten the people into accepting draconian curtailment of our Rights, freedoms and liberties…this article completely ignores the realpolitick of the 50′s as well as calls for sympathy of the butcher Qaddafi and for the support of Assad of Syria ? (not even a “hands off” stance…but active support to halt the US aiding in his ouster!)

“That’s because it was time to remove a puppet (Egypt’s Hosni Mubarak) or do away with recalcitrant leaders who refused to play along (Moammar Gadhafi in Libya and Bashar Assad in Syria).”

let’s look at the reality of the situation. Even if we accept the premise the we were actively involved in beginning the removal of Mubarek, playing the game of International politics, was there a referable option/ A dictatorship, unpopular, was about to end. Mubarek was dying. What would the replacement regime be? Definitely a priod of unrest and instability. And we’d have no influence and ran a huge risk of a very anti American regime taking Mubarek’s place.

Would it not be a huge irresponsible act to not intervene as we did and thus have influence over any new regime? Think about that risk. Egads…

Qaddafi. OK…this lunatic madman had supported terrorism for decades. Responsible for the Lockerbie plane going down, hundreds of terrorist acts, and a major source of financial aid and providing safe haven to terrorists. Reagan tried taking him out in the 0′s, and Bush II labelled him as part of the “Axis of Evil”. And this article makes him out to be a frippin’ martyr????? Are you kidding me ?

And would it not be best we maintained an influence over a new government in Libya? no loss of American life, part of a coalition, yet we maintain a significant influence over the ultimate outcome of any new regime makeup. The hype of ‘al qaeda’ being part of a any new government is, i would suggest, something to be taken with less than a grain of salt. Much akin to WMDs in Iraq.

Assad. OK…so we’re supposed to not take advantage of turmoil involving Assad. We are not to take interest in cutting off the supply of aid and arms to Hezbollah and Hamas. We are not to take an interest in keeping pressure on Iran as well as ease dangers to the fragile Iraqi regime we just fought and lost American lives for. we are not to assist an ally…a NATO ally, as the borders between turkey and Syria grow more tense with each passing day.

Toss in a few biblical quotes, ignore realpolitik and US security, and call for support of a foreign policy based in ignorance and which can only create HUGE risks and dangers to our nation.

And it receives support from many posting in this forum. Wow …. absolutely amazing. Disgusting, and amazing.

Flashy, a fanatic liberal that believes what the Liar-in-Chief says, that sniffs the propaganda and finds it pleasing, that believes that the government is the solution to our problems, that believes the Democratic Party is non-evil and, naively, not part of the plutocracy, that believes there are actually two parties in this country… Such a deluded visionary has zero creditability. Unlike you, Mr. Livingston lives and breathes in the real world, not that world created as a replacement by the sinister Democratic Party. For someone to believe in that mockery of reality would mean they are both gullible and a fool and, therefore, wholly unworthy of trust. Your type is truly disgusting and amazing.

Flashy and NC, two mindless puppets for the Democratic Party and the evil, sinister people behind it. NC, with his normal flag waving. NC, if this country is so great then why is your party trying to destroy everything it ever represented? Why is everything we ever considered to be ‘American’ under attack by your godless, evil party? You two are as big a jokes as the worthless party you represent. For anyone who has not read it, I recommend, ‘The Tortured Christ’. I believe you can get a free copy on the net. The author, Richard Wurmbrand, spent 6 or 8 years in a Soviet prison, his crime being he was a Christian. Christians were tortured and executed on a daily basis. The book is a must read for anyone wanting to understand the direction this country is headed, a direction the Democratic Party is determined to take us. When the book was first published, there was very little parallel between the US and the USSR, but today the parallels are striking. It puts into perspective the evil voices of such state worshippers as Flashy and NC.

And while you are at it, detail how that all would connect with the relations concerning the Saudi’s, the Yemeni’s, and the Jordanians. I’d ask you to also connect with our Russian and Chinese containment policies, but i doubt you guys will even answer because you have none other than toss America to the wolves…

Mr. Livingston, if we didn’t have covert opertions we would be the only powerful nation in history not to have them . Sadly in todays’s world they are a necessary evil when even our ally(?) Isreal had been caught spying on US on several occasions!
We were warned by our own Generals that the bush foreign and military policies in Iraq was creating more terrorists than it was killing! AND WE ALREADY HAD MORE THAN WE NEEDED!
Arab Spring up risings over the years have been inspired , to name a few,by the US, Britian, Russians and other Arabs. Religion and power made them important to the Arabs and oil and location made them important to the “out side ” interests!
Politically in the US they are just “footballs” with little meaning to the average citizens who fall on both sides according to whatever daggers THEIR LEADERS are throwing,

    • Nancy in Nebraska

nc, what you refuse to understand is that if we did not engage in these evil schemes (covert operations) we would still have GOD’S protection! We could have lived in peace and prosperity under GOD’S grace but we let evil take over our country at the highest levels. By the time even some of us have realized it, it may be too late to turn back. I don’t think we can save our country, but many souls can be saved by turning to GOD. Prayer and repentance are the only things that can save any of us. I will pray for you that the scales may be removed from your eyes.

      • Flashy

Be careful with that idea. The New World Order wants to take over and the USA is the main object in their way. How to defeat the USA so the NWO (run by the UN and backed by the IMF/World Bank) can take over? Split up the USA (divide and conquer)

      • http://gravatar.com/bychoosing Jay

Mike in PA, how about we take back our Government, and stop the slow, extermination of Americans?

You don’t have God’s protection anymore then anyone else Nancy, It is written that God has preparing you a “place” and that is about all the ‘protection’ you might hope for.

Bad things happens to good people everyday. While I’m not suggesting there is no such thing as divine intervention, God does really care which world you live in, this one or the next.

And don’t be going around calling people atheist just because they don’t agree with you unless you are willing to accept this same judgement in kind. You such know that by now.

      • Nancy in Nebraska

Deerinwater, I didn’t call anyone an atheist. I merely pointed out that this country was dedicated to GOD at it’s inception! It’s a fact! Look it up! I believe that GOD has protected this country for many years but has now removed his protection just like he did with Isreal in the book of Isaiah.

      • nc

Nancy, where was the protective God on 12/7 /41 and June 6. 1944 when thousands of his “chosen{ Americans died for the cause? Those who rotted in the jungles of Asia and were denied even a “Christian” burial? HAVE YOU EVER CONSIDERED THE FACT THAT MOST OF THOSE OF THE GREATEST GENERATION VOTED FOR THE GREATEST LIBERAL FDR AND THE DEMOCRAT PARTY FOR THE REST OF THEIR LIVES?? It was not God that caused these things you mentioned to happen. FDR knew of the attack from the Japanese on Pearl Harbor before it ever happened! He allowed it to happen so he could convince the American people that we needed to become involved in WW2 and the war against Germany! He is also responsible for those soldiers who rotted in the jungles of Asia!! I know because my father was a surviver of the Baatan Death March and spent 3 years in a Japanese prison camp!! I agree bad things happen to Godly people, but when the evil rulers that we have had in this nation for the last hundred yrs or more, that have worked so hard to take God out of the nation and cause the people to turn their backs on God and accept the God known as the federal government, and those people buy the lies and allow it to happen, then God has no choice but to turn his back on America and it’s people and allow them to have the government god they have asked for!! That includes the destruction of our currency, Constitution and our lives!!

Simple common sense SHOULD have ruled. The three main factions in Iraq have been fighting each other for 1500 years. The ONLY way Saddam could keep control was with an iron fist. But Bush/Cheney sold America the idea that the Iraq people would lay down their arms and welcome us as liberators.

How many of you bought into that line of BS?????

      • Sun Tzu

There are certain truths that prevail regardless of political affiliation and they have been known and accepted for thousands of years. War, even by any other name, is still war and a nation, any nation, should never enter into it for any other reason but to be victorious and vanquish their enemies. If you do not go to war for complete victory (by any means), then you should not wage war, because the odds have already turned against you and you’ve already lost.

The U.S. has done this repeatedly since Vietnam, and we’ve learned squat from our mistakes. You cannot fight a “Politically Correct” war…..the whole concept is absurd, but that’s what we do. War is a nasty business….it’s not polite, it doesn’t have rules, it’s not civilized and if you’re not prepared to do what’s called for then stay out. When we do go to war, it should be for complete victory. The generals should do their job, I think they know what needs to be done……the politicians should butt out. We always manage to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

We have become a nation of girly men, sissies and whiners……weaklings with no stomach to even get our own house in order, but have the audacity to point the finger at others at dictate to them what they’re doing wrong. A typically prime example is radical Islam. These folks have made it abundantly crystal clear what they plan on doing to us, they’ve carried out past threats and yet under the cloak of PC we still want to join hands and sing Kumbaya. I don’t know whether we have the stomach and fortitude left to save our nation, but it won’t happen by capitulating….with our enemies or a tyrannical government, that’s certain.

Very, very true. However, this is what you get when you elect someone that has never worn the uniform of his/her country. John Wilch (TSgt, USAF Ret.) — I just want to know, according to you, what is the difference between Romney’s and Obama’s military experiences. What is your point? Presidents have advisors with so-called expertise for reasons. No one can be an expert in all areas.

        Romney Military Service

Mitt Romney has never served in the military.

        • Before joining college, Romney had received a deferment from the draft as a Mormon ‘minister of religion’ for the duration of his missionary work in France, which lasted two and a half years. At the time, there was an agreement of sorts between the church and the Selective Service allowing exemptions from the draft for missionaries. Before and after his missionary deferment, Romney also received nearly three years of deferments for his academic studies.

        • In April 1965, Romney registered with the Selective Service but was not considered readily available for military service until December 1970. When he became eligible for military service in 1970, he drew a high number in the annual draft lottery and at that time no one drawing higher than 195 was drafted.

      • RealitySux

Staged? By the protesters? Possibly but it was mob violence that caused the escalation. The only way you can determine the truth is by acquiring the entire tape that was recorded.. I don’t mean the part where we came in.. The gathering was already in progress. No one goes to a festival with the intention of looking for trouble, I don’t care who they are.. What was done, what was said prior to the recording? What drew the crowd to these protesters? Yes, they were wearing Christian garb, carrying posters and banners but that wouldn’t draw a crowd unless the they were itching for a fight.. Was something said that opened the door to resentment? We’ll never know because I doubt THAT had been recorded. The protesters probably brought it on but it became a mob scene the fist time something was thrown.

      • Vicki

Jay. As I suggested. Go there. Live in the neighborhood. View the festival and let us know if it was staged.

Sometimes this ‘control’ is even bigger than any President (or at least I would hope, else it would be true that it was all of us who created this political chaos by being led by our ears and fooled by our eyes). I want to believe that it’s a small group who’s in control and are paying for the souls of the leaders with gold and blackmailing those who refuse with their life.. Lord, if it isn’t, if the best we can do is vote in that which we abhor then our days are truly numbered because no longer do we have trustworthy advocates to get our butts out of this bad omen.

With the downfall and collapse of the Soviet Union, this country has assumed the role of the most evil force on the planet. But just as destruction fell upon the atheistic Soviet empire, destruction will eventually overcome this evil, atheistic empire as well. At our core is only greed and a lust for power. There is no real ‘America’ left. Our overlords have purposely destroyed it all. Only propaganda attempts to fill the void, just as the Soviet government did the same. And, like the Soviets, at our center lies only emptiness, the emptiness of the secular, abstract, athiestic, leftist state. Alas, history will not be kind to us, nor should it.

    • rendarsmith

True wisdom in those words. You are right. But how to put an end to this madness?

      • Steve E

When MAP wrote “Alas, history will not be kind to us, nor should it.”, That may be what will need to happen for people to “put an end to this madness”.

      • Robert kepka

We could put an end to this madness but it can not be done through either of the two political parties we now have. The power lies with the political parties and both have been taken over by the NWO.. As long as we continue to vote these two parties into office we will continue to lose this nation. it’s the Party who controls who you vote for. No matter how many party candidates run for office it will always be the “party pick” who gets the nomination. mention of third party and the party generates the fear the opposing party will remain in office even though both parties are responsible for the destruction of America. If those masses of freedom loving people on these blogs were united in an alternate political party this nation could be saved otherwise it is only a matter of time until we no longer exist as a sovereign nation.

  • Michael J.

    Dear Bob,
Thanks for the confirmation, I think.
As I have said previously on numerous occasions, the push is to remove dictators who are not on board with the NWO game plan of world domination. And replace them with maleable, easily purchased politicians who just happen to be in this case The Muslim Brotherhood.

The Muslim Brotherhood will someday realize the betrayal of being slow boiled like a frog as we have been. Though they are now jubilant over the recent turn of events, they should at least suspect the price to be paid for such an easy victory made possible by those they consider enemies.

Egypt, Lybia and Tunisia are the new Troy, and they have just received the gift of a large wooden horse.

According to the Obama regime, WE, the American people who oppose Obama’s Nazi policies are the real terrorists.

    • Norm

      Obama’s policies??
Where were you when Bush and Cheney declared war on half the middle east? Listen to Romney’s sabre rattling. He and McCain would have us in war forever.
Even though the US is broke, there is always a few trillion to fight needless, fruitless imperialistic wars.

      • http://gravatar.com/bychoosing Jay

The point Harold is making, Norm, is that obama is no different from Bush/Cheney/Mcain/Clinton, and soon to be Romney; all, “establishment” puppets!

      • TIME

        Dear Jay,
        Right on!

        Peace and Love

      • BigBadJohn

        Jay,
I agree there is no difference in the policies of the last two administrations. However. re-read what Harold said – he is clearly trying to blame Obama.

      • EdinNola

Where do all these dolts crawl from? Bush launched our forces with full authority of the U.S. Congress. (Something Obama failed to obtain – TWICE). The fact is that he arrived at his decision to do so on the advice of the head of the CIA, George Tenet. George was an inexplicable hold over from the Clinton Admin. and was obviously serving another master when he advised Bush to go into Iraq as he did.

Soros and his minions, and I suggest you may be one, have blown that falsely into a Bush fiasco, when in fact the real problem has been with “reconstruction”, again on the advice of Progressive advisors.

Most of the crap you people put out is a flat out lie. Soros had a personal problem with Bush and spent a heck of a lot of money to slander Bush in any way possible, including hiring delusional bloggers to run their mouths spreading every detrimental lie they could possibly dream up to disparage him. Grow up man. Bush has not been in office for almost four years and the country has been sold out – virtually destroyed by Obama. If you can’t see what is right in front of your eyes, then I pity you.

      • http://gravatar.com/bychoosing Jay

True, BBJ, I was primarily responding to Norm’s response to Harold which wasn’t in keeping with the point Harold was making, which was; according to President Pinnochio’s policies, anyone who criticizes his policies, is a terrorist!

      • Average Joe

        Norm,

George W. Bush did NOT order 241 drone strikes, launch FBI raids on antiwar activists, expand the Patriot Act, authorize the assassination of US citizens abroad and appoint Monsanto executives to the FDA….

        You’re thinking about Barack Obama.

Don’t get me wrong Norm, I wasn’t happy with Bush anymore than I am with Obama. I am simply pointing out that both Bush and Obama have the same agenda…and that maybe you need to wake uo and stop falling for the Left/Right, Democrat/Repiblican paradigm. They were/are all complicit in taking our nation down the wrong path. It is time for a new direction and new policies for America…and I don’t see that happening by re-electing Obama or by electing Romney….a politician is a politician.
If you truly want change, you must vote for a Statesman rather than another Politician.

        I am voting for America.
I am voting for a Statesman.
I am voting for Ron Paul 2012!

Norm; As a former Marine I’ve always said it’s better to fight your enemy there then here on our land, seems your another blame Bush idiot? Carter didn’t do anything, took a Repulican to put the fear of God in Iran, now we have a idiot-in-chief muslim who wants to break America, so he can be god, both of you are a joke, a bad joke at that.

      • Michael Beglin

Obama has intensified every plan of attack started by Bush. Obama is more like Bush than Bush is. Obama has lied about every single thing he promised during his campaign. Both parties are corrupt. We need term limits on every government seat from dag-catcher on up. Without that, there will be no return of our freedoms unless We the People are willing to declare war on our own government. As our government grows increasingly out of control, our options are becoming more limited. Ron Paul won Iowa. How long until we were told that? The media lies to us every day, and most people believe every word.

We need to bring our troops home, from everywhere, and fix America before we worry about taking over the world. Our country falls apart while we spend trillions killing people. Where are our REAL choices?

“However. re-read what Harold said – he is clearly trying to blame Obama.”

As is correct for obama is president and has been for three and a half years more than enough time to own the problems and progress or lack of it in solving them. Bush did what Bush did now obama is doing and he gets the blame.

      • Tomas

Ironic you talk of endless wars if Romney or McCain were in power, yet Obama is currently in power and has extended current wars (Iraq troops are still present, though many moved to afganistan), and started even more,in just 3.5 years than bush did in 8. If you were intellectually consistent, you would chastise Obama at least as much for the same thing you state to abhor in bush. I think the truth, based upon your statements, is that you are fine with multiple, interventionist, undeclared wars, as long as your team is the one starting them. Fine piece of logic there buddy. Good luck with that. You are well qualified to be a democrat drone. Just replace the word obammy with GOP (no other change in thinking required) and you could be a useful idiot for the republicans should you wish to change sides.

I for one do not want to live in a socialist country. I do not want to stand in line for three days for one loaf of stale bread to feed my family. It’s coming if we don’t change course…..in November!

    • Greg

To independent thinker: I call it a lot less intrusive than passing executive orders like being able to lock up a US citizen without a trial for just a thought of being a terrorist. And remember, Osama thinks a terrorist is anyone who disagrees with him.

      • tesmith47

        the same as bush

    • Bob in Boston

It’s not just Obama – all of Congress, dem and repub, are bad. Anyone who still thinks there is a difference and votes down party lines is a stooge. That would be like thinking Romney’s policies are going to be any different than Obama’s – complete gullibility.

Think about it – the top two things conservatives complain about (ObamneyCare and Obama using his attorney general to attack the 2nd amendment with Fast and Furious) were literally invented by Romney. Romney literally *invented* them!!!

Our only hope for true change is/was Ron Paul, but all of you sheep believed the “he’s unelectable” propaganda even though Dr Paul has been elected 12x more than Romney, ended up winning more delegates in 11 states, and was polling better against Obama than Romney up until late May.

You sheep who let the liberal media pick Romney for us are the real source of the problem and now we’re all screwed because you’re so gullible. Now we’re stuck with Romney, who nobody with both a brain and a conscious could vote for.

  • Eric Jones

Mr Livingston aside from the realigus angle i couldnt agree more.

    • gerryrichard

Interesting….the “religious angle” doesnt appeal to you,eh?….it is only because of that so called angle that the point is made…or maybe the atheists can concoct a better basis for the argument, you know, those that believe “nothing doesnt exist”?

      • Robert kepka

As a nation that embraces all religions, even the religion of atheism, there is something those who object to religion are missing. When we approve of a religion that brings theocracy in place of our government we must reject that religion. If those atheists believe they would have a better life under Sharia I suggest they go to a Muslim country to live and see how they like it. Our nation was without doubt founded under a Christian religion which allows for diversity. The religion itself was not brought into our government but the moral laws common to every human being was brought into our government. If a Godless way of life was good for humanity then the soviet Union should have been a paradise. There is no doubt, religions including the Christian Religion, have in the past gone overboard in promoting their religion We are now seeing that with the Muslim religion. Their success will be determined only if we let it happen The atheists should make a decision under which religion they would be better off because neither is going away.

      • http://www.facebook.com/eugene.frana Eugene Frana

To Robert kepka; Atheism in not a religion, no matter how much anyone wants to pretend it is. Also, as an atheist myself, and all the stuff I’ve read from other atheists, I can GUARANTEE you that I know of NO atheist that will live under “sharia” law! Do you know who says that kind of crap about atheists? Certain religious right christians that just want to stir up trouble on people that won’t join THEM.
ON another note; Joseph Stalin was a trained Catholic priest. He found a way to gain power by using Communism (NOT American atheism) in the government. Then he open up over 800 Catholic Orthodox churches in Russia once he gained his power.

      • Richard Pawley

To Robert Kepka: I agree with what you say. The atheists in this country are quite naive if they believe eliminating Judeo-Christian teaching will result in the vacuum of nothingness or atheism. Nature abhors a vacuum and it is probable that Sharia Law will replace the freedom that Judeo-Christian law gives (not churches with their many varied teaching) if it is eliminated. We are already seeing that in the crime statistics over generations. There are already areas in London and other cities in countries of Europe where law enforcement does not enter. They are controlled by Sharia Law.

About 75 years ago Jesus told a woman in England that “All my followers know and love the simple rules I taught when I lived on earth as a man. Many of them would be confused by all the rules of your churches. In all things simplify!” (from GOD CALLING, edited by A. J. Russell.

There is more I could say but what would be the point. God even loves atheists but they will miss so much because they reject all that He could do for them. If they were not a religion (or anti-religion) they would not be organizing and trying to organize to copy the worst that “religions” have done in the past. I have read that one Christian said that the problems that are coming, from the severe inflation to weather changes to the destruction of Los Angeles in a few years, to WWIII, to food shortages, etc. that even the atheists will be crying out to God to make it all stop (that they will eventually know it’s to much to all be just coincidental). In any event time will tell as it always does and we are living in some of the most interesting times in the history of the world. May God bless you.

    • KG

Although it’s probably been said, the fact that the Republicans were planing to turn America into what it is today, i.e. the “Plan to Revitalize American forces”, should not be overlooked. Because if you really look at who has been doing all the undoing of what we call America, since the beginning of the ‘Conservative” movement, the Republican party has been complicit in it’s destruction. Beginning with Nixon, continuing and expanding under Regan/Bush, we have come to the ultimate goal of the Republican party – to destroy the great legacy of Roosevelt. A man who was reelected by the American people in record majorities 4 times. And help restore the American Dream to ALL AMERICANS.

Those who insist that the parties “…are basically the same know nothing of history. Right now, there is a clear choice – either continue as a wounded nation, or seize the opportunity to turn our country into a true Republic “…of the People, by the People, and FOR THE PEOPLE!” No wonder the Republicans are attacking the second greatest president – Abraham Lincoln. Abe saved our nation just as much as Roosevelt did. Now, do the really RICH people like these men, no instead they HATE these two men. So there is a clear difference between the Democrats and Republicans.

      Status Quoe – Republican
A different, yet proven, direction – Democrat

I wish more Dem’s would step up and call you guys on your crap.

      • rocketride

KG’s off his/her meds again. (Or is it still?)

      • Robert Smith

        Really? Off meds?

Surely you can come up with a better argument than that or the points will stand.

        Rob

      • http://gravatar.com/bychoosing Jay

I agree, Robert. Rockectride’s response to KG wasn’t a very good one. But if KG isn’t off his meds, then what could be the reason for KG’s idiotic, and less-then-accurate, comment?

On one thing, i will, agree, with KG. There has been a coordinated, and methodical-commitment to the destruction of America; but to suggest, or rather insist, that it is not a coordinated effort, and that, it is a not a monstrous conspiracy, a conspiracy, btw, that could only be achieved by the full cooperation of those who control our political-system, is to either expose yourself as a liar, or a half-wit! At the risk of providing the wrong answer, or offending KG, as to which of the two possibilities KG might be, i will respectfully withhold my opinion.

      • John Wilch (TSgt, USAF Ret.)

KG, you made the following statement:

        Status Quoe – Republican
A different, yet proven, direction – Democrat.

Lets take your first sentence: Status Quoe – Republican. to me that means freedom to pick and choose what you want, Work to provide for your family. A Strong Defence. Less Government intrusion.

Now for your second sentence: A different, yet proven, direction – Democrat. (A SOCIALISTIC STYLE GOVENMENT WHERE THE MEMBERS OF THE ‘PARTY’ HAVE EVERYTHING THEY WANT AND THE REST ARE SLAVES! NO THANK YOU!) Bigger govenment. Government telling you must do something or else (Nazism, or even Communism), Taking you hard earned wages and giving it to someone that is to lazy to work (Making you a slave), A WEAK DEFENCE. In other-words turning the US of A into a European style sespool.

Well, KG, I much rather vote for a stable economy with jobs and freedom than vote for someone who hates America and what it stands for.

You are blind as a bat!!! Democrats are as bad if not worse than Republicans!! Republicans use the World Banking System to rob Americans of their ability to create wealth and better themselves, while the Dems promote socialism and fascism to put us all under government control!! If you believe the dems are better than the repubs, you are as blind as the story implies!! Lincoln was no hero!! He was the first president to defy the Constitution and States Rights and presidents Wilson and Roosevelt began the march toward socialism!!!

      • Buster the Anatolian

“Surely you can come up with a better argument than that or the points will stand.”

The pot calling the kettle black. RS you have made the same statement yourself many many times.

      • Robert kepka

If you can not see beyond political party you have a problem. These two parties are not what they once were. There is a common enemy that has usurped these parties. It is only for those light thinkers, that embrace the Rep vz Dem facade, that it is perpetrated in their behalf. If you think organization like the Bilderbergers, Council on Foreign Relations, Etc. have no effect on our political parties and therefore our government, Why do you think they exist. Check out the past Presidents who have been members of the Bilderbergers and the past members of the supreme court or the members of congress who have been or are members off one or more of these organizations. Please educate yourself.

        John Says:

“Lets take your first sentence: Status Quoe – Republican. to me that means freedom to pick and choose what you want, Work to provide for your family. A Strong Defence. Less Government intrusion.”

Then what do you call Bush’s and the republicans wire tapping everyone in the USA – without a court order?

What do you call the patriot act imposed under republican rule?

What do you call NDAA that strips the right of Habeus Corpus, which was written and pushed by republicans???

Sorry not my definition of freedom. BOTH PARTIES are out to take away you freedoms and civil liberties!!!!!!

      • macgyver1948

BigBadJohn… You said “Then what do you call Bush’s and the republicans wire tapping everyone in the USA – without a court order? What do you call the patriot act imposed under republican rule? What do you call NDAA that strips the right of Habeus Corpus, which was written and pushed by republicans???”.

I also call it big GOP Government intrusion. They seem to want smaller government except when there are things, not restricting them, they want to restrict and intrude upon others who aren’t them. To bad there isn’t all the room we need to show the Great GOP, and others as well, hypocrisies.

And I agree with the following old guy when he said:
“They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.” Benjamin Franklin said this.

I see violations in the US Constitution with things Bush and Home Land Security did with that wire tapping thing alone but there are more. But what do I know? I will never see any kind of alignment between the Founders and the current TP and GOP.

      • Cliffystones

Sounds like a wonderful, logical well thought out constructive argument.

        In a reverse-parallel universe!

      • Cliffystones

That would be “KG”s original diatribe.

      • independent thinker

“Then what do you call Bush’s and the republicans wire tapping everyone in the USA – without a court order?”

This has been going on since at least Kennedy and possible as far back as Truman it just became common knowledge under Bush.

“What do you call the patriot act imposed under republican rule?”

Could not have passed without massive support from democrats.

“What do you call NDAA that strips the right of Habeus Corpus, which was written and pushed by republicans???”

The democrats in the Senate could have easily blocked it if they had wanted and obama could have refused to sign it.

You did get it right in your last paragraph both parties are to blame.

      • Stuart Shepherd

KG, thank you for that typically condescending supercilious PC robot green energy for brains lecture! You’ve proven, once again, that at least half of the liberals suffer from an effective intelligence level of a 2 year old and at least half of them suffer from evil motivations (like our President).

      • margie

        What diatribe!

      • chester

It seems that every ttime a Democrat, or anyone with leanings in that direction steps up and says something intelligent, they are listed as a Koolaid drinker from the sixties, when that was a nickname for acid droppers and other dreamers. The Democrats as a whole have a better vision for what the country can and should be than most anything I have seen on here, but even they are not perfect. That is the very reason this country was and IS based on the art of compromise. When both sides feel they have been shafted, it is a good chance you have a fair agreement. Perhaps what we have in the House and Senate should relearn that lesson.

      • Tomas

Hmmm, how ’bout this? Use your brain. Look at the results of ALL of government interventions into our lives. Does the end result change just because a dem or repub majority was in power? Your two examples were times when extraordinary things were occurring. WW2 (promulgated by the us, history boy, war started in part due to hitler becoming unresponsive to his former sponsors) and civil war, war against states rights as much as slavery. Obviously slavery is immoral and has no place, but aren’t erosion of states rights part of the path that has led us where we are? Right now, and since about 1913, it has been government vs. liberty. Liberty has lost, government and it’s unconstitutional intrusion has exploded into our lives. And your answer is to make sure dems stay in power? How cute. Both parties have the same goal, just different pr departments.
