The Supreme Court ruling to uphold Obamacare strikes to the heart of an argument used by the Republican Party to accept the unconservative and unpalatable candidates — Mitt Romney, John McCain, George W. Bush, Bob Dole, George H.W. Bush — it continues to hoist as its standard bearers for President: You must vote Republican in order to ensure conservatives are appointed to the bench.

So-called “conservative” Chief Justice John Roberts (appointed by George W. Bush) joined decidedly activist justices appointed by Bill Clinton and Barack Obama to allow the Federal government to force Americans into government-run healthcare programs or pay a penalty.

Of course, healthcare in America should rightfully be called deathcare. There is no desire from the mainstream medical community to cure disease. There is too much money to be had from continually treating disease and making people sick through government-mandated vaccinations.

The elites and bureaucrats who run government and the regulatory agencies accept big money from Big Pharma and the conventional medicine cabal to restrict healthcare choices. They frown on alternative medicine. Their public relations arm in the mainstream media works overtime to deride alternative treatments, natural supplements and healthy eating choices as quackery.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture is doing all it can to quash the supplement industry. It restricts access to natural foods like raw milk. It allows genetically modified foods to be passed off as natural and approves the use of harmful hormones and antibiotics in poultry, beef and pork. Its so-called well-regulated Big Agriculture processing plants are rife with harmful bacteria (creating disease and sparking recalls) and the egregious treatment of farm animals. Small, organic farms are forced out of business, despite producing healthier products.

The Food and Drug Administration pushes drug use and approves drugs that come with warning labels a mile long and allows big food companies to use unhealthy additives (like high fructose corn syrup) and call imitation fruit products real fruit, but prevents sellers of all-natural products like walnuts and cherries from touting their health benefits.

So now, thanks to a “conservative” Supreme Court appointee, more bureaucrats get to decide what is and what isn’t acceptable medicine. Yeah, let’s count on Republicans to preserve our rights.

    The mandate is now a tax. It can be voted down with 51 Senate votes. Instead of being accused of judicial activism for all time, Roberts turned the mandate into a poison pill for Obama. Instead of whining all day, get out there and help to win this election. We still may be able to get out from under Obamacare…..

    If everyone refuses to pay the TAX for not doing what they want the Government will not be able to house all of the non payers. I for one will go to jail and take up room and cost them money to house me for as long as it takes. I am tired of Corrupt Government Control and don’t forget the Majority of Congress has backed most of Obaminations bills and National Debt spending. Vote 98% of Congress out of office. Utah just put Hatch back in office and they the voter (idiots) believe in Insanity putting the Status Quo back in office and expecting a change. Did not Hatch vote for the three bills that took our 1st and 5th Amendment Rights away? Americans vote both sides out of office especially the 80 Communists supported by the Democratic Socialists Party , that is a communist organization, making them Communists, what part of Communism do you Liberals and V|Blacks like, the Slavery part. Communism id slavery of the mind and body taking away your means to better yourself and guaranteeing that there will be Poverty and the Ultra Rich. You will have no control just like Russia was like for over 70 years. Wake up before the Brown Shirts, U.N., Black Panthers and Muslims are pounding on your door taking you away to an internment camp and possibly being sent oversea’s and having your citizenship taken away and all your posessions and money. Those are the three Bills that our Corrupt Congress passed with a Major Majority vote, BOTH SIDES.

      If you get a paycheck like I do, unfortunately you will not be given that choice as it will come out of your check before you get it. Just like the new tax that was levied against employer furnished life insurance. This benefit, that I or my family might never get to see any benefit of because I may resign or be resigned, is now taxed. I have been paying this tax since Obummercare was passed. It shows up on my W2 form at the end of the year. Just one of many new taxes that will be levied to pay for this monstrous money/power grab.

        Sanders : If you are not already on Medicare you probably will be by 2014 when the law kicks in and it won’t make any differance to you whatsoever.If you have private insurance it won’t matter to you if you want to keep it.What the ACA will do is put millions of more customers paying a minimal fee on the insurance programs offered and with all these new customers existing rates will go down.When everyone pays a little no one has to pay a lot.

        Jopa, since you are such an expert, can you explain to me how it is going to work for the 49% of Americans who are already on welfare or medicare? Who will be paying their share?

        If the law of supply and demand truly works, by adding 30 million more users to the system, without a corresponding increase in the supply, how does the price go down?

        When the government regulates the amount a doctor can charge for his services and the number of doctors decreases because it is no longer a lucrative field and the benefit of earning a decent living is no longer worth the investment in education to become a doctor, what does that do to the price?

        You just don’t get it do you jopa? Government run healthcare is a death sentence to the American medical system as we know it. The cost of government to run anything is, by and large, 2 to 3 times more expensive than the private industry. There is a lot of truth to the old saying that a hammer purchased from the government cost $50.00, whereas the same hammer purchased from the private sector cost only $15.00, this due mostly to the bureaucratic red tape that must be worked through just to cut a PO.

        Some government official is going to have the say as to whether or not you get the medical treatment you need, based on cost, not actual need. That will save money in one sense, the tax payers will no longer have to pay for your medical bills as there will be none. Not to mention the 15,000 additional IRS agents that will be hired to police the tax payers to ensure the fines are doled out and paid for those who cannot afford the insurance and to pressure private industry so supply insurance that they cannot afford to offer.

        However, I am sick and tired of trying to vote for the lesser of two evils – it never turns out that way. I voted for Bush as the lesser of two evils – big mistake, he increased the deficit by 1400% and brought us the patriot act, TSA., two wars, unconstitutional wire tapping, and loss of habius corpus. I voted for Obama as the lesser of two evils – another big mistake, he is expanding on what Bush started. I refuse to make those kinds of mistakes again.

        Even if I am throwing my vote away it will be for a principled stand.

      Sorry, Dr. G., but I have voted for the so-called Republican candidate for too long, just to watch each of them become more and more like the Dumbocrats that I wanted to avoid. My wife and I will be writing in Ron Paul. We will not continue to compromise our beliefs in the hope of maybe getting a conservative.
      It seems that each time we vote Republican, the establishment takes it as an acceptance of their less-than-conservative choices, and justifies the next bad candidate that they thrust upon us. So, sorry, but I am with Jazzabelle and BigBad John.

    We are stuck with this situation. During the next Presidential term, there will most likely be several Supreme Court appointee opportunities. Do we want Barack Obama making these decisions? We must suck it up and vote straight Republican! Not voting or voting for some obscure candidate is the same as voting for Obama.

      And voting straight Republican tickets sends what message to the GOP? That you will accept whatever candidate they put forth. You got Romney because you accepted and voted for Bush. You will continue to get Romney’s and Bush’s as long as there is an upside for the GOP.

      If you want to send a message, don’t vote Romney, let them take a huge loss, deal with four more years of Obama and make sure the GOP knows that in 2016 you want a REAL choice. Otherwise, expect more of the same forever.

        Whew! I’ve heard everything if you are preaching that it is best to let Obama have 4 more years to punish those that have voted GOP. At some point in time we have to try and turn this big ship around and letting the Dictator In Chief have another 4 more unfettered years in the White House is absurd. Can you imagine this president ruling completely by executive order to get around Congress for another 48 months not having to worry about a reelection? I think not.         Rather than vote against the GOP and allow the emperor to further drag down this country, why not vote for America, get obama out of office, force the representatives and senators to stand up for the Constitution that they swore to uphold, and after the election and repeal of this disaster, then we can either rework the GOP to be a conservative party to stand for America and against big government, or we can grow the Tea Party to become the 2nd party. The GOP can choose to support us, or join the socialists.

        It may boil down to the ONLY reason to vote Romney, and that’s the the most important reason. SCOTUS replacements will serve for years, possibly decades, and the USA cannot afford to skew the 4-4-swing decisions in favor of leftist judicial activism. Another term for Obama could bring us the perfect storm of dictatorial president, spineless Congress and ultimately, a leftist majority on the court that has NO respect for the Constitution.

What will happen to the 26 yr olds that become 27 yr olds & still don’t have a job, who pays for them? I live on a fixed income, already feds take 10% every month, plus the health ins I pay every month, how much more am I going to have to pay for some slug that never worked or paid taxes? The SC really opened a can or worms, so everything that BO(stinky) wants will now be ok if called a tax?

    No one actually did not want health care reform. Many people DID NOT want to entirely replace their health care system with Obamacare or to require people to purchase somethng they did not want, period. This is an overstepping of the will of the people by a president who mistakenly thinks socialized medicine will be an improvement. Ha!

      Well premium cost had soared 300% in 20 years but only for those that could once thought they could afford it while finding themselves force completely out of the market all together.

      For those of us that pay taxes and vote , we have bitching rights, we have no plans to give them up.

        The only one’s complaining about the so-called soaring-private-insurance-premiums, which naturally increase, as does everything else, are the progressives. And its not just a “peep”, but a full-blown, drama-queen, hysterical-howling.

I remember forty or fifty kids a year being infected with polio, and a quarter of those dying, about ten per cent in iron lungs, and the rest with various handicaps, I can remember days when a quarter of the school was absent due to chicken pox or the mumps, or any of a number of other “childhood diseases.” Now we cry if five percent of ONE class is missing for any reason, let alone all for the same illness. Grow up and get a life, as what you are preaching now will cost a lot more lives than it saves.

        Scott – I had no income when I was being charged $20 for services by Care South. I was wrong about Mercy in Me. The income limit for singles is $21,000 and $44,000 for families. Are you talking about MIM or CS? I don’t know all the particulrs about MIM; however, what you stated seems kind of weird. In other words, you have to have an income to qualify for low or no-cost services?

        E = Energy per service

        So what does it mean when Bill Gates says “if we do a really great job on new vaccines… we could lower [world population] by 10 or 15 percent?”

        Clearly, this statement implies that vaccines are a method of population reduction. So is “health care,” which we all know to be more of a “sick care” system that actually harms more people than it helps.

        Perhaps that’s the whole point of it. Given that vaccines technology help almost no one from a scientific point of view, it raises the question: For what purpose are vaccines being so heavily pushed in the first place?

        Bill Gates seems to be saying that one of the primary purposes is to reduce the global population as a mechanism by which we can reduce CO2 emissions.

    No Sir, It’s being called the Affordable Health Care Act and it comes as a slight shifting away some from an “Employer based ” Health Care” provider Americans have became use to while it attempting to bring 30 to 40 million more Americans into a system that find themselves presently lock out of.

    The Federal government is asking Americans, employed or not, to take steps to be responsibility for their health care while at the same time insisting “insurance providers” offer basic product that are within reach for more Americans. Where as before Insurance Providers have only found it necessary to catered to the most lucrative aspect of the “Market” , willing to eat the heart out of the “market” while ignoring the rest.

    In as far as “disease” that is just one facet of health care, there are many others things that plagues mankind beside just disease. Vaccinations and disease are an issue unto it’s self and not actually germane to this discussion while Mr. Livingston is using money spent on vaccination & disease as a pretext to do so. .

    All Americans are being asked to be responsible for basic health care, that some of you through the current systems resent being asked with threat of penalty , I’m sorry that it offends you. But your offense and your subsidized healthcare coverage pails in comparison to the problems of addressing Health Care of a nation 325 million people where Emergency Room out patient care has overloaded the current system.

The Americans that have enjoyed status quo and subsidized care that discounted their health care premiums for many years, we cannot expect them to be pleased with these latest events and changes. Their position is being diminished in this search for a more fair and functional system that includes more Americans.

        First, deerinwater, how will it be funded? Obama claims that it is affordable, that savings from medicare and medicaid will fund this $3.8 trillion boon-doggle.

        For starters, we can expect a $12,000 per-individual mandatory insurance tab to be picked up by employers or individuals themselves. Should this be forced on small businesses, many if not most will go under. Individuals themselves will be fined and/or imprisoned for non-compliance. We must also consider the effect on the overall economy and national debt.

        The current administration has been printing money without restraint, causing the dollar to become devalued. Lenders, such as China, want to be repaid in currency that is at least worth as much as it was when loaned-it.

        Now to the national debt itself. If the government was to completely halt all spending it would take two generations to repay the debt- this being accomplished by the time the second generation reached retirement age, if they are lucky.

        There is another consideration as well; who will really benefit from the plan?

        Both chambers of Congress have opted out. When Charlie Gibson of ABC News asked President Obama if his family would participate, all he got was an incredulous stare as a response.

        The figures for currently uninsured individuals range from 40 to 60 million. This includes many young people who rarely visit a physician and simply do not need insurance.

        Obviously they would not benefit from having to pay $12,000 per-year for this program.

        It is estimated that 30% of doctors will quit practising medicine if the plan passes- apparently the medical profession does not feel that they will benefit.

        As with any government run program an enormous bureaucracy to oversee it’s implementation and operation must and will be created. It can be said then, that the government will benefit, not only in size and scope, but increased revenues (taxes) as well.

        There are a few others who will benefit from the Obamacare plan: illegal aliens, welfare recipients and others who contribute little or nothing to the economy but the overwhelming beneficiary will be the government itself.

        Furthermore, it is axiomatic that the bigger the government the more diminished our liberty. Contrary to the intent of the Framers, when government wins, we lose.

        Maybe they would like to scale a 27 ft ladder hanging on to a 30 pound jug of Freon and 24 pound tool belt around their waist on a toasty 104 degree day with me someday? After 4 or 6 trips up and down maybe being a doctor wouldn’t seem so bad after all.

        I lost the last good doctor I had, he quit but it wasn’t over earning money but insurance cost and responsibilities. He was tied, I was proud for him, he left and had some life left over.

      By forcing/bringing folks into the healthcare system there is a potential for everyone to save. Currently, if a hospital accepts any federal funds, they are required to not turn anyone away in the ER.
      Which of course means that anyone that does not have insurance will go to the ER for any service they think they need, even minor issues like colds and flu. Emergency rooms charge 3-4 times more than a comparable doctors visit. If a lot of these “minor” issues could be taken care of in a doctors office instead, this could represent a huge savings.

      As far as being “forced” to buy insurance, you currently are required to have insurance to drive a car – what’s the difference?

      I can’t see how mandating that I purchase insurance will make it affordable; it’s assured that premiums will rise as a result of the mandate.
      I don’t have health insurance now because I can’t afford it and making me pay a fine because I can’t afford it is still leaving me with no healthcare. It’s the same situation for me; I can’t afford health insurance yet I pay taxes to subsidize it for someone else.

        Scott – At least here in C’fld Co. we have Care South, that charges on a sliding scale, and Mercy In Me Free Clinic in Cheraw. The Clinic just raised their maximum yearly earnings limit to (if I recall correctly) $24,000. I have always felt that Care South should be a model. When I first moved her, I would go there, get my bloodwork done, see a counselor and even got an ultrasound once; and it only cost me $20 no matter what was done within one visit.

        Moreover, if it is not a tax, why, pray tell, did the Solicitor General under direction from the administration, argue it as such?

        Are you “taxed” when you get a speeding ticket? Does a court levy a “tax” if you’re behind on child support? What “tax” is involved when a federal court assesses compensatory or punitive damages?

        No, Roberts got it completely wrong by changing the dictionary definition of “tax.”

        And your cited sentence indicates your leftist sentiments. Here’s news for you: the Supreme Court is not in the business of making “American” or “anti American” decisions. It’s charter is to rule on the Constitutionality of court cases, whether you statists feel they are “fair” or not.

      Justice Roberts did the apolitical right thing, he showed judicial restraint and judicial humility which he touted before his appointment. I thought that was the type of thing a justice department was supposed to do. Activism swings both ways sometimes and if it swings opposite your viewpoint it is condemned.

      John, all of us are angry but if you read the whole document you’ll realize that two things happened. The government can not compell the citizens to buy something using the commerce clause.

      I strongly disagree with the decision, however, Roberts, in voting with the liberal side of the Court DID reveal the individual mandate for what it has ALWAYS been — A TAX ON THE MIDDLE CLASS — THE BIGGEST TAX INCREASE SINCE 1993; AND THE OUTRIGHT ROBBERY OF SENIOR CITIZENS IN THE $500 BILLION CUT TO MEDICARE, WHICH OBAMA READILY ADMITS WILL BE USED TO FUND SOCIAL PROGRAMS — NOT HEALTHCARE!!

      Now, boys and girls, Americans do NOT like tax increases. Americans do NOT like being lied to, and Obama has been doing it since he first announced his candidacy in 2007.

      And, in voting with the majority, Roberts DID, in fact, SAVE all Americans from the effects we would all be feeling if the individual mandate had become part of the Commerce Clause of the Constitution. If it had been attached as “Commerce” it would have set a very important precedent that would have allowed the government to literally take over everything we purchase, period. The kind of food we purchase in the grocery store, sugar, sweets, etc. Remember, that Michelle has absolute DISDAIN for “fat people.” She doesn’t do any of the stuff she allegedly “stands for” because she cares about obesity. Get real.

      And, in FOUR HOURS, the Romney campaign raised $2.7 million dollars in campaign contributions.

      Also, this decision fundamentally REDEFINED the campaign. Obama was going to make the campaign about Obamacare vs. Romneycare.

      He has NOW made the campaign about TAXES!!!!!

      Now is the time to educate the woefully uninformed in this country. Reach out to those who refuse to pay attention to what is going on because “if it is bad news, they don’t want to hear it.” Now is the time to educate those who repeat Obama’s talking points and don’t inform themselves.

      The door is open, and Elvis has left the building. It won’t be long now before the chickens come home to roost!

What gives you, or our government for that matter, the right or power to decide whose moral standards will be allowed to be broadcast in the media?         Oh, puh-leeze! ‘Pat’ was obviously referring not so much to prayer in itself, but the idea that no moral teaching is allowed in school today; much to our regret since we now have a generation virtually amoral, who thrive on some of the base garbage passing for entertainment, have little personal resources when they’re challenged with a problem, & don’t think beyond the latest rap song or video game. I don’t so much recall ‘prayer’ when I was in school, but a daily morning poem, reading, etc., that emphasized a moral strong point.         As to health care, why must we treat people who choose not to pay for care? Those with no ABILITY to pay could easily be covered by tax-exempt foundations, and the government’s only involvement would be correcting the tax code to provide exemptions for donors to the foundations. No bureaucrats to pay for! Those who choose not to pay don’t get treated.

        Now for Medicaide which is free healthcare, this should have been monitored closely. Those that are living off the goverment should go through the same testing we have to go through for jobs. They should be tested for drugs and alcohol. If they are found positive then Healthcare should be denied to them. Hand outs should be like Denmark, they get taken care for three months after that if they don’t have a job by then, then they lose the benefit, they will continue to carry you on their backs.
        As I said, WE THE PEOPLE have no one to blame but ourselves because we have allowed our government to take the direction that they wanted to take.

I have written to the Mayor, our local news stations, Congressmen, our local newspaper etc. I either get no reply or they give me information that I didn’t ask for. I am trying to stand up for America, but due to a large part of people who immigrate here, I am out-numbered. I don’t know why people want to come here who don’t like our customs, don’t like our religion, don’t like our culture, but they want us to change our way of living in America to the way they lived in their Countries. America is letting too many immigrates into our Country, (enter legal or illegal) and they either want to kill us or change our way of life. Reasonable improvements have been proposed and they are not obonbocare.

      I hate to burst your bubble here, but organic food — which you can easily grow yourself on your patio — is truly the best thing for you. I would never buy it in a grocery store — the cost is prohibitive and smacks of government regulation.

      I have seen and tasted the incredible difference between organic tomatoes that I canned and “grocery store” tomatoes that I canned. I had to throw the latter out.

      These days, you can purchase any number of patio garden systems. Putting in your own organic garden is quite easy as is composting. Of course composting has to be organic as well, which means you can’t put any chemicals on your lawn.

        The Obama Campaign is a fantastic marketing machine. It is constantly discovering new ways to sell things to people. But the problem is that it has no actual product.

        A company that goes corporate cult uses some of the tactics of a cult to inflate the value of its product. But a cult has no product except the sense of satisfaction that comes from being in the cult.

        The only things it sells are images of its leader, emblazoned everywhere, his books, speeches and photos, and these are used as tokens of membership in the cult.

        In retrospect, the Cult of Obama had much in common with other cults. Like them it recruited young volunteers on campus. Its recruitment materials leaned heavily on books by its beloved leader.

        It promised them that a new age was coming and that they could be a big part of bringing it about. And its vector of introduction to older viewers was through a woman who has been accused of promoting cults on her popular television show.

        Strip away the politics, forget the push and pull of the election issues, wipe the polar identities of the parties from your minds and take a fresh look at the 2008 campaign.
        Then compare the pitch to any of the major cults in the seventies and eighties. There really isn’t all that much of a difference.

        They’re all “Transformative” movements that promise to solve society’s problems by using new insights to create a wave of change that begins with “us”.

        Even the political angle isn’t new. Jim Jones and his murderous child-abusing cult started out as community organizers for California Democrats, and leading politicians, including saintly hero Harvey Milk, covered for his crimes until the whole thing got too big and Jones got too crazy.

        Long before Obama, Lyndon LaRouche went the campus cult route and if you are morbidly curious, you can find videos where “LaRouche Youth”, who have broken ties with their families and friends, shout insane slogans while their glazed eyes stare fixedly into the camera.

        The pitch is “Transformative” but it isn’t the world that is being transformed, only the participants, and the method of transformation is constant labor and omnipresent awareness of the program. That is where the Cult of Obama’s retention efforts fell through.

        Successful cults maintain control over a core cadre and use them to expand their base, but projects like Americorps did not come close to meeting those goals.

        The corporate part of the Corporate Cult deals with adversity by redoubling the sales pitch. If sales fall, it finds more things to sell.

        The Obama Campaign is insanely intensifying its sales efforts, without understanding that its sales are falling because the value of the brand is failing.

        Many cult survivors dropped out during a similar phase when the cult supervisors pressured them to increase sales and recruitment, even as the cult was no longer relevant. When the history of this campaign is written, we will likely discover that the people on the inside were being just as ruthlessly pressured to achieve impossible goals to compensate for the failings of their candidate.

        When businesses hysterically deluge you with offerings for their product, it’s a sign of fear.

        Obama’s campaign rolling out invitations to dinner with him and suggestions that you use your wedding to raise money for him stinks of that same fear. It’s ingenious from a marketing standpoint, but from that same standpoint, it’s also a bad tactic.

        The last thing that a company or a campaign wants to do is wear people out. But that is exactly what Obama is accomplishing by burning through his base for a short-term cash grab, when what he really needs is to have those people committed to him at the end.

        Obama’s people are clever, but not good, which is a common combination at dot com companies that go under when the trend passes them by. The Obama trend has long since gone and no one is all that excited about another four years.

        Like Steve Jobs debuting one more feature, the campaign has doled out gay marriage and the DREAM Act to gets its base excited about another four years. But it still isn’t excited. These are features that it expected years ago and it’s not in the mood to work itself up into a frenzy over finally getting them.

        This is the part where the marketing consultants spend six months on a study and inform the company that their brand is done and has to either be retired or salvaged through a high-profile campaign that will reinvent it as cutting edge. But when your brand is a man, how do you reinvent him? And when your brand is “Transformative Politics” and even your staunchest supporters don’t feel like anything has been transformed, how do you move the product?

        Cults shift the burden of failure from the guru and the program to the participants. It isn’t the man or the idea that failed, but the people.

        There are the outside enemies who make enlightenment impossible. “How very much I’ve tried my best to give you a good life. But in spite of all of my trying a handful of our people, with their lies, have made our lives impossible,” Jim Jones said at Jonestown. That is the epilogue of the Obama campaign. The one being scripted for him by the media.

        Like Jim Jones, Obama has done his best to give us a good life, but the Republicans, FOX News, the Supreme Court, the Koch Brothers and powerful interests have sabotaged his efforts with their lies. And yet in the end it’s not the enemies who bear the final burden, but the people who weren’t good enough.

        Cults demand more and more from their followers to impose upon them an unreasonable and unshakeable burden of guilt. The cult appeals to those who want to make more of their lives, and it destroys their will by making them feel like failures. The Obama campaign’s endless demands of its followers have that tenor as well. Behind all the flowery words, the burden of responsibility is being shifted from his people to his supporters.

        The cult frames everything in terms of commitment. What begins as a commitment to personal and global transformation becomes a commitment to the demands of the cult. The commitment is meant to be mutual, and it is occasionally even framed in terms of a marriage.

        “In all our years of marriage, he’s always looked out for me. Now, I see that same commitment every day to you and to this country,” Michelle Obama’s campaign mailing says. “The only way we’ll win this election is if we can rely on one another like that.”

        The commitments, of course, aren’t mutual. They can’t be. The disparity in power is too great. The cult exists for the sake of the leader, but the leader does not exist for the sake of the cult. Once the followers realize this, the illusion of mutual commitment breaks down. And to keep them from realizing it, the cult strives to make them feel that they have not lived up to their commitment.

        The cult intrudes into personal and marital relationships because it cannot allow any commitment to dwarf the greater commitment. That is why cults will arrange marriages and control whom members may marry. It may command divorces or just solicit donations to its cause at a wedding. It acts as if it knows no boundaries, but, in truth, it is setting its own boundaries. It is claiming the intimate territory of personal relationships as its own.

        And yet all this only works for as long as the transformative illusion endures. When the sense that the commitment to the cult is not transformative, that the principles of its program cannot make a better world, then its power fades away and dies. The cult may amp up its marketing, but the only product that it ever truly had was intangible.

        The Obama campaign never sold Obama; it sold the idea of Obama. The illusion that was more than the sum of his false biography, his chin up speeches full of momentous pauses and stolen poetry, or the typography of his posters.

        It was the sense of imminence, the perception of a transformative figure who could change the country and the world. That magnetic tug wasn’t Obama, it was the confused mess of desires, fears, hopes, dreams and wishes that the people were encouraged to project onto him.

        The essential product of every cult is the promise of global transformation through personal transformation.

        Years later, few people can say that their lives are any better, and while many are still willing to echo Jim Jones and blame that on outside enemies, there is no real faith that the program can work.

        Whether or not Obama wins again, his cult has failed. It failed because it was not able to deliver on its promises of transformation, nor was it able to place the blame on its followers.

        Most of those who voted for Obama will drink the Kool-Aid one more time, but there will be little enthusiasm in the drinking of it.

        If I remember correctly the Mayas had about half a dozen different calenders. What makes 12-21-2012 so important to the Mayas is that all their calenders end on that date. You are correct in saying they do not predict the end of the world. 12-21-12 is the end of the age and the start of a new age. It can also be interpreted as the end of the world as we know it and the start of a new world but it is not the literal end of the world. Also as I recall the Mayas like the Hopi believe the progression of us becoming the humans we have today passed through several worlds (3 or 4) with the old world being replaced by a new one. And yes that is an over simplification of their very complex creation stories.

        Obamacare is bad? Hell, it couldn’t be much worse than what we have now. As far as I am concerned, the so-called “death panels” and crap have been going on for a long time. Have any of you had problems with your insurance companies during your lifetime?
        I will remind everyone of a situation my son is dealing with. He had an earlier heart attack in July, 2004 and 5 stints were put in. This was 8 years ago. He had a heart attack over Memorial Day weekend. And now the 3 stints in the left main artery to the heart are blocked. The heart doctors want to repair the 3 stints and my son’s insurance company doesn’t want to pay for “something that was already fixed.” Sure, the problem was “fixed” but that was 8 years ago and now the 3 stints are blocked and must be repaired. The heart doctors are fighting with the HMO and my son was told this could go on for several weeks. It has been a month already. My son is on a lot of medication. I have known and heard of numerous people with the same HMO that have had and are having problems getting them to pay for anything. But the HMO sure likes to reap the premiums. The name of the HMO is “Health Alliance.”
        I hope none of you will ever experience a situation like this.

NONE asked for money, ALL asked for involvement in carrying forth the fight for the Middle Class and America.

Why, GALT, do you at every turn decry the departure of our government from Constitutional principles if you simultaneously believe that the cornerstone of the Republic (and the original Constitution itself) is a sham?

        Jefferson’s (incomplete) expression of Locke’s Natural Law in the Declaration of Independence is at the very center of the bedrock upon which the Constitution was drafted.         There is no direct mention of God in the Constitution, except in the formation of the date used in the document: “Done in Convention by the Unanimous Consent of the States present the Seventeenth Day of September in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Eighty seven”.

        The Lord in this phrase is, of course, Christ. That is it.

        Religion is indirectly mentioned in the oath of office, where a person is permitted to swear
        or affirm, taking into account those religions where swearing was impermissible. And no religious test was allowed for any office in the United States, which is neither a direct nor indirect reference to God or Christ, but is notable nonetheless.

        The theological/philosophical concept expressed is of the Logos (the Word), as expressed in the Gospel of John (chapter 1). This Logos created Nature and Nature’s Laws. This is what Jefferson is referring to in the Declaration (Creator).

        For instance, in Genesis chapter 1 verse 1 – this verse ends with the first letter and last letter of the Hebrew alpha bet (Tev Aleph)- the Word of God (the Logos) who created Nature and it’s Laws …..

        Then there is a reference in the Book of Revelations of the “Alpha & Omega” or the Word (the Logos) who is the Creator (interesting that it’s in the last book of the Bible !! HA HA !!)

        The concept agreed upon by most of the founders is of the “Logos” who is the Creator. Have you noticed the close similarity in spelling to the the word “Logic”? You could substitute “Logic” for “Logos” to get a similar meaning in John’s Gospel.

      Why shouldn’t we all vote the Constitution Party candidate? I’ve never heard of him, but who cares. We KNOW he’s for defending the constitution (I’ve had much to do with that party and they are for real) so wouldn’t an unknown who believes in our constitution be better than not voting? That is Gerald Celente’s idea to which I don’t agree. We HAVE to vote for someone, only not a Republican and not a Democrat. Heck, what’s the difference in electing an unknown, inexperience Constitution Party candidate and Obama winning in 2008? He didn’t have any experience either. The difference is the CP candidate will act to preserve our freedoms through the Constitution.

If people start voting a 3rd party, Obama will definitely win. I know this sounds like the Republican talking points, but at this point, it’s true. There is no where near enough Ron Paul followers to yield enough votes in the general election to win the presidency, just as there weren’t near enough for Ross Perot, which resulted in Clinton. If I thought for one second there would be, then I most definitely would vote for RP. Justice Roberts did us all an injustice yesterday, or so it seems, but you can bet your life savings that if Barack Husinsane Obummer gets reelected, he will nominate another radical left wing liberal activist to the SCOTUS and then watch our 2nd amendment be all but washed away. Once they have eradicated private gun ownership, all other rights can be trampled upon with impunity and far worse than they are today.

        Unfortunately, the Ron Paul voice and ideology is not near loud enough and “in your face” enough to most of main stream america to make near large enough impact of waking the general populace to the tyranny that is so rampant in our federal government. So we MUST, at the very least, get the imposter-in-chief out of office in November.

        When FDR occupied the White House for more then 12 years; dying in his 4th term; he was enabled to appoint 8 of the 9 Supreme Court Justices; all of which were progressive leftists. That singular act; effectively eliminated the concept of “separation of powers”; and instead consolidated government power to the corrupt marxist left. It was for that reason; that the leftist policies of FDR which prolonged the great depression; left us with ponzi schemes instead of real trust funds (like social security, medicare, et al); all of which our participation therein is mandated by law (just as now with Obamacare); have remained unchallenged by the Supreme Court in spite of their unconstitutionality.

        Roberts’ ruling simply demonstrates again, the corrupt nature of consolidated central government power of which the founders were afraid; and reveals this fundamental flaw in our system. The fact that President, has any authority (even nominating authority) over the selection process of officials in any other branch of government (in this case supreme court); has shown to be a problematic loop hole in our system; a flaw that has incrementally, but systematically eliminated the separation of powers in government and allowed it to become an all-powerful tyranny.

        The President of the United States should have NO AUTHORITY whatsoever, to even nominate anyone to the Supreme Court. Justices should be nominated by a majority vote of the justices themselves; and then those nominees should go on to the same congressional approval process. This was proposed back in the 1950′s but that bill was never passed; and instead; we got the next-best thing; which was term-limits for president. Unfortunately; that term-limiting feature has clearly not gone far enough; in protecting our concept of separation of powers.

        If Obama gains a second term; he will be in a position to nominate (de-facto appoint) two more Supreme Court Justices. If that happens; the game is over and the hard-won liberties that the founders fought and died for will have been for naught. Based on his pattern of behavior; we can expect his next two nominees to be blueprints of the previous ones……card carrying members of some special interest group like hispanic lesbians; rather than an objective student of law devoted to a strict interpretation of the Constitution….as the founders intended.

        This country has been on the brink for a long time. Whether this ruling will send us entirely over the precipice to a complete nanny-state Tyranny remains to be seen (I suspect it will; as its provisions incrementally take effect). But what is more important is the FACT; that the supreme court has just revealed their own corrupt nature; by upholding a clearly unconstitutional act; and justifying it through that ridiculous and convoluted set of circularly logical assertions espoused by Justice Roberts (it’s a tax….no it’s a penalty….no it’s a tax…..blah blah blah). It is clear that there is today NO branch of government; that is providing the “checks and balances” that we have been led to believe are in place……they are not. The United States Government is ALREADY a tyranny; the fundamentally corrupt and consolidated powers that it has have just been revealed. What Justice Roberts has essentially told us is this:

        You….Mr. American……. you WILL PAY..because WE say so…….. OR ELSE. And if you are successful through your hard work and diligence………..shame on you….YOU will Pay even more…. FOREVER. Why…? Because we said so; and we have more guns than you do. You, Mr. American…..are a SLAVE.

      Look, I like Ron Paul. However, with our political system the way it is, the fact remains that should he mount a 3rd party campaign, he is HANDING the Presidency to Obama so he can finish destroying this country. Make no mistake here: that IS his goal!

      I just finished reading The Amateur. It is a journalist’s book, FULL of interviews with Obama “insiders” who know the “real” Obama and Michelle.

      Both of these people are dangerous.

      Read the book. Given that Obama tried to have it quashed before it ever went to the publisher, there is a WEALTH of true information in it.

      I simply do not understand how or why people continually say — “If it’s bad news, I don’t want to read it.”

      It’s truly sad that people (Americans) can’t stand together.. Remember when the Chicago Tribune declared “Dewey defeats Truman”.. Who actually won? Everybody KNEW Obama care was unconstitutional but from out of the blue it was found constitutional.. Ron Paul doesn’t have to be considered a ‘has been’ if everyone (especially the middle roaders) voted him in, but alas.. We’ve all been fooled by our true hidden enemies into thinking ‘if no one shares my ideal then their the enemy’ and we’ll never break free of that illness until someone we can all admire will tell us to stop this insanity (that is, if they can survive through the governmental assassination attempts).

Our candidates have been winning state and local elections and Virgil Goode is the 2012 Presidential Candidate. Ron Paul may never get the endorsement of the Republican Party, because they don’t like him. It’s mainly the younger generations abandoning the other collectivist candidates offered up.
      Citizens understand more now that our federal government is the problem – not the solution, and they begin to recognize the wisdom of putting that binding chain called the Constitution of the United States back on the federal government. When people learn this, we’re winning.
      Do something. Don’t sit there and wring your hands over how bad things are getting. What can you do? What skills do you have? What products or services can you offer to the cause? Beyond that, keep learning – keep teaching – keep pushing for restoration of Liberty in America. Through organizations like the Ludwig von Mises Institute and people like Lew Rockwell and Murray Rothbard, you can start to learn more about our American values and how the Constitution was intended to work. Run for office locally and at the state level under the Constitution Party. The more you participate, the faster liberty will be restored in our land.
