The Real War

June 25, 2012 by

The Real War
UPI
Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke is desperate to stave off collapse until after the November election.

Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke continued the Fed’s war on and destruction of American savers and retirees last week with a continuation of Operation Twist.

As Bloomberg notes, “The continuation of Operation Twist ‘should put downward pressure on longer-term interest rates and help to make broader financial conditions more accommodative,’ the Federal Open Market Committee said today in a statement at the conclusion of a two-day meeting in Washington.”

In other words, Bernanke has announced that the Fed is going to keep shuffling the same money piles back and forth to continue the charade that it is doing something constructive for the American people. But the truth is much different.

Keeping interest rates low helps the banksters and keeps government’s fictional “debt” low, which allows it to spend more money. But it is devastating to savers and people living on fixed incomes, pensions and retirement funds. The Fed says this will continue at least through late 2014. By then, interest rates will have remained at or near zero for six years, and just slightly higher for much longer.

This continues the great rape of the American people for the benefit of the banksters who borrow money from the Fed for almost nothing then loan it out for a return of between 2.75 percent (home mortgage) and 20 percent (credit card). It’s really quite a racket, when you think about it. Especially considering that when you are no longer able to repay the loans because of the economic conditions created by the Fed and bankster criminals, the banks can then confiscate your property—or, as is the case in some instances, the government will steal money from those who are working and still able to make their payments and use it to pay the banks on behalf of the homeowners.

Low interest rates also keep the interest paid on savings accounts at near zero and far below the rate of inflation. Government-fudged numbers say inflation is at 1.7 percent, but real inflation as it was measured in 1980 is 9.3 percent, according to Shadowstats.com. By using fudged inflation numbers, government doesn’t have to make cost-of-living increases on Social Security payments. This puts a tighter squeeze on those who struggle to pay for their groceries—again those on fixed incomes, living off savings or Social Security.

All of this is done under the pretense that the American government is in debt. This is utter hogwash.

There is in reality no U.S. debt. It is delusion and fraud. The Federal Reserve can print money to infinity.

If you had your own money-printing machine, would you be in debt? Of course not, because if you accumulated debt you could just print more money to pay for it. The same with the Federal government. Yet the elites and the media constantly wail and cry over the U.S. “debt.”

This is a ruse to get the American public in the mood to accept higher taxes. There is never any serious talk in the beltway of cutting government spending or eliminating government programs. Anyone who dares suggest that cuts be made is derided as a heartless soul who wishes to starve the old and the poor, abuse the disabled and allow corporations to run amok. Yet it is government policies that are abusive. Sadly, most remain completely unaware.

Congress and the President, regardless of party label, are constantly on the lookout for ways to spend more money on behalf of its favored constituency and to the benefit of corporatocracy. This is fascism under the sweet-sounding name of democracy.

There are now more than 46 million people on food stamps. Each of them is now eligible for a taxpayer-funded cellular telephone which, apparently is now as essential as food and water for life. Almost half the population is on some sort of government assistance. Unemployment benefits have been extended ad nauseum.

Government actions are always designed to benefit the elites in government and on Wall Street. Fed policies created the bubble that burst in 2007-2008, which saw banksters and Wall Street speculators play fast and loose with mortgages and derivatives, knowing that when the bubble burst they would be saved from their irresponsibility and criminal behavior. Efforts by the States to crack down on bankster criminals were blocked by the Feds.

A recent report from the U.S. Government Accountability Office shows how the game is rigged against the American people for the benefit of the elites. The report revealed that the Fed gave money in the form of almost zero percent loans to more than a dozen financial institutions that had current or former directors on the boards of the regional Fed banks. The total amount doled out to these people of privilege exceeded $4 trillion.

And nothing demonstrates the absurdity of the game more than the recent appearance before Congress by JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon. The appearance was a veritable love-fest.

That’s because of JPMorgan’s connections to the House Financial Services committees, the Senate Banking Committee and the alphabet soup “watchdog” agencies that are paid to look the other way. Former Congressmen and Congressional staffers who once worked for committee members now lobby for JPMorgan and work for JPMorgan. Enforcement heads for the Securities and Exchange Commission are former JPMorgan employees. Dimon sits on the board of the New York Federal Reserve. JPMorgan is a major contributor to a number of the committees’ members. All of this was revealed in a report by Propublica.

Bernanke is desperate to stave off collapse until after the November election. He’s facing quite a headwind of lousy job reports (real unemployment in May was 22.7 percent, according to Shadowstats.com), a continued housing slump, flat retail sales reports and a decline in manufacturing.

In making the announcement about Operation Twist, the Fed also revealed that (official) unemployment would remain above 8 percent through the end of 2012, which really means more than one in five Americans will remain out of work through the end of the year. American unemployment has never been this high for this long. There are 4 million fewer people working today than just five years ago. And President Barack Obama just compounded the unemployment situation by dumping hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens into the legitimate job market.

Of course, Bernanke has been proven to be either an incompetent boob or a pathological liar. Just prior to the collapse, he maintained that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were sound and in no danger of failure. He has at various times over the course of the last four-plus years said all was well, warned of a recession, promised a recovery, warned of a double-dip recession, predicted low inflation and high inflation and lower unemployment and higher unemployment and that he knows what must be done to start a recovery and has no idea what to do next. Last June I wrote that he was all three of the Three Stooges rolled into one. Unfortunately his act is not funny.

The European situation is also hanging over the U.S. economy like the sword of Damocles. The Eurozone is back on the hook for Greece’s debt, and Spain’s and Italy’s debt problems are yet to be addressed. Unfortunately, the Fed is in the Eurozone to the tune of about $16 trillion, and that doesn’t count the U.S. commitment through the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank.

World Bank President Robert Zoellick says we are nearing a danger zone and on the verge of a crash that could be as bad as the Lehman Brothers crash in 2008. On the heels of this announcement, a market rumor exploded that Pimco, JPMorgan and other financial institutions had cancelled summer vacations for employees so they could prepare for a collapse.

There is much afoot. The “Great Reset”—the economic collapse that will lead us back to Constitutional governance and a new gold standard—that I have predicted is coming. Bernanke and company will do all they can to stave it off as long as they can. But they are running out of options.

The evidence is in the increasing controls on money exchange and increasing hostility toward expatriation, the growing power of the police state and multiple efforts to censor and control the Internet. The elites are dismayed that they no longer control the message and that more people are growing wise to their criminal behavior.

It’s almost too late to buy gold and silver. If you do, hold it in your possession. Store food, water and ammunition. Determine what skills you have that you can barter, and get the tools necessary to make it happen.

Our hope is the collapse, once it begins, occurs quickly. Otherwise, things will get very ugly for the unprepared. Look to Weimar Germany as an example. Mothers were prostituting themselves to put food on the table.

We must go through the fire, but I believe we will come out the other side better for it.

It was exactly a century ago that Ludwig von Mises’s book The Theory of Money and Credit laid out the case against central-bank wealth fairies, but few listened then, and fewer listen now. The message is unpleasant to politicians, who want to spend more than the government takes in through taxes. They do not want rising interest rates that will
result if the government is to cover its deficit.

      Rafael…

Unfortunately, the study of “economics” has no connection to “reality”, so the specific system is irrelevant, and the one being claimed as the solution, is in fact the most responsible for the “problem”……….but this requires that one actually has a fundamental understanding of the “history” and it is clear that very few here have this understanding or are capable of considering the possibility that it is their very ignorance which allows this
idiocy to continue. In short, you are being played……by those who are benefiting from the continuation of this “fraud” on every level…….and since it is quite clear that you have very little in common with any of these people who show up every day ( except sunday ) to jerk your chain…….the fact that you are unquestioning participants in your own victimization is particularly ironic………..but such is the way of things for the w.i. A.L.F.

You may alter this lack of understanding at any time……..

Just as you resist the implications of the simple question Where are the common law and equity courts?, as it applies to The Constitution…….

That there is NO NOBEL PRIZE for “economics” and therfore there are no Nobel Lauriets on this subject…….should also stimulate anyone intelligent into the mode of further inquiry……….after all, why would these supposed ‘prize winners” actually allow this misconception to continue……….

This is similar to the question on the Constitution and the silence of Ron Paul and Judge Napolitano to address what is in fact the most direct way to restore what has been lost, and it is impossible for any Judge not to know this, so again we have a case of direct FRAUD……..which continues without missing a beat……..

here is what i ain’t don’t unnerstand, someone has a lot of splaining to do. they say our economy is hurting because of globalism. that is to say, they stopped making amana radar ranges here and started making hing hang ho microwaves over there. but everyone everywhere is hurting. so where is all our money going? i bought an electric drill made in china, one little purchase multiplied millions of times per day, and that’s just here, this doesn’t even include french or irish purchases of chinese imports, so you would think china would be booming with unimagineable prosperity, but they’re on the brink too. how does this money pull off such a david copperfield disappearing act?

“And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet? Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.” – Matt.19:16-22 (KJV)

        What about it WALT?!!

    • Sanders

The banks have it all. The only reason China’s economy is faultering just a bit is because all the nations their exports go to are in much worse shape, not near as much purchasing power from the private sector. China’s exports are primarily consumer goods.

  • David

Something to ponder. I have read that the FED returns 90% of the interest they collect in interest back to the US Treasurer. The tax payers are getting billed interest to the tune of 445 billion a year.

I the Government gets most of that back then what are they really doing with the all the money? Underground bunkers, Black projects?? 62% of the treasures sold at auction are purchased by the FED to keep interest rates low. This money has debt attached and is created out of thin air.

If this the FED returns 90% of the interest paid to the government and we are still getting billed for it, what a scam against American Tax Payers!!!

    • GALT

You might want to verify that source……….all monies collected by the IRS go directly to the FED…….and if you have ever sent them a check, and the bank returned it to you, you need only look on the back to confirm this…..then again, the banks started charging for that service too……..so most people no longer do that either.

      • David

        Hi Galt,

What I have heard is that yes the IRS collects the the money and uses to pay interest to the FED for debt. But the FED returns most of the money it charges for money it loans to the US government or 90% back to the treasury. Worth looking into. Thanks for you comment. What a racket! If this is true the government does not pay much for money the uses to purchase Treasury’s or only 10% the stated interest on the fact of the note

    • http://gravatar.com/dawgbisquit1 Tom W.

According to Aaron Russo’s “America: Freedom to Fascism” 100% of income tax collected goes to pay the interest to the FED for the issuance of fiat money!

Sounds like fear-mongering to me. You come into this world with your mother and you leave by yourself. Between now and then, you are suppose to serve someone or something and try to enjoy yourself along the way. What’s to fear? What were you ever promised?

I’ve been broken down with nothing but my name and a smile that I “elected” to keep twice hence. Now , I’d admit that I wouldn’t want to go though that one more time but if I have to I would, rather then live in some state of “fear”.

      • http://gravatar.com/dawgbisquit1 Tom W.

So Brotherdeer, are ya callin’ God a fear mongerer?!!

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.” – Proverbs 9:10 (KJV)

“The Lord hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.” – Proverbs 16:4 (KJV)

        NO LOL!

      • Deerinwater

I’m sorry Tom, but I simply do not subscribe to early neanderthal Jewish tribal law as they make little sense and found in direct conflict with the later Gospels. I prefer the revised version offered to us by Jesus as he walked while among us and taught by word and example.

If you want to fear God and believe all those old trial tales, more power to you. While I do have a Jewish Sir name I am not Jewish while I respect them.

If there be one God and he claim only certain ones as “chosen” and you don’t have a problem with that, you’ve been brain washed my friend.

I would be happy to debate it but not here and not now.

      • http://gravatar.com/dawgbisquit1 Tom W.

        Sorry Brotherdeer! You wrong on this one how does the New Testament conflict with the Old?!! You know not of what you speak! Let’s see what Jesus has to say on this matter;

        Matthew 5 (KJV)

11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Well I guess He told you didn’t he?! LOL!!! So ya think you’re ready for a little MEAT?! OK, but ya BETTER put your dentures in! LOL!!!

        Colossians 2 (KJV)

        1 For I would that ye knew what great conflict I have for you, and for them at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;
        2 That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;
3 In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
4 And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words.
5 For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ.
6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:
7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
        13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
        14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.
18 Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,
19 And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God.
20 Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances,
        21 (Touch not; taste not; handle not;
22 Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men?
23 Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body: not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh.

I asked ya if you were ready?! Yeah I guess I shoulda waited for an answer huh?! LOL!!! Sharper than ANY two-edged sword!

Matthew ~ was not addressing early tribal law Tom but the 10 commandment and Cesar law.

And then too, Matthew was sucking up to the leadership of the “current times” as he didn’t wish to be seen or come on as a revolutionist and trouble maker, stirring up disobedience. Matthew was attempting to be a peace maker in strained and strange times. That is what Matthew is address here.

We need to views such material as it was “real times” and real people, no different then from today.

We allow ourselves to be lead to envision and believe by organized religion. In so doing, we are lead astray.

Father’s day, I visited my fathers grave site. ~ It was hot sunny day, I found a black granite bench under a pathetically small little tree compared to the bench offering little shade. I set for a spell, taking all the feelings and surrounding in.

The cemetery had this elevated concrete pond filled with water, ~ There was this was this statue of Jesus in his flowing robes stand up in a small boat, one hand to his chest and another outreaching.

I must have stared at it 5 minute before I realized just how absurd it was. People don’t go out in small boat wearing cloths that you can’ swim a stroke in, wearing a bed sheet, a person would sink like a rock as soon as he got wet.

I would have to believe that men of Jesus’s day were much more smarter about such things then men today.

It was an imagery sells job, poorly conceived ~ plain and simple and when it comes to Chapter & Verse it no different Tom.

Eat it up, there is plenty and you’ll never find a shortage religious spin.

Come on, Time, we’ve been through this a million times.

“Some people think that the Federal Reserve Banks are United States Government institutions. They are private monopolies which prey upon the people of these United States for the benefit of themselves and their foreign customers; foreign and domestic speculators and swindlers; and rich and predatory money lenders.”

      Time,
      Who owns the Fed?
That’s easy, the descendants of the money changers.

    • Deerinwater

Time, I’m not sure that the FED is “owned”, I seriously doubt if you could get a single person or group to claim ownership.

A good question though, ~ while in some ways it’s like asking who might own a “the” church. ~ It’s not property while it is a “Noun”.

      The Fed is the results of enacted legislation Page #22 of Ron Paul’s book “End the Fed” stated;

“By Nov. 1910 the time was right for drafting the bill that would become the Federal Reserve Act. A secret meeting convened at the coastal Georgia resort called the Jekyll Island Club, co-owned by J.P. Morgan himself. The press said that it was a duck hunting expedition. Those that attended took elaborate steps to preserve their secrecy, but history records exactly who was there; John D. Rockefeller’s man in the Senate , Nelson Aldrich, Morgan’s senior partner Henry Davison, German emigre and central banking advocate Paul Warburg, National City Bank vise president Frank Vanderlip, and NMC staffer A. Piatt Andrew, who was also Assistant Secretary of the Treasury to President Taft.

“So we had two Rockefeller’s two Morgan’s, one Kuhan, Loeb person and one economist. ” ( if you can’t identify who “Kuhan, Loeb” was, welcome to the crowd, that’s verbatim out of the book) “In this group , w find the essence of the FED: powerful bankers with powerful government officials working together to have the nations money system serve their interest, justified by economists there to provide the science gloss. ”

Of course that last sentence is Ron Paul spin. ~ while the whole affair seems to leaves little question to who’s best interest might best be served. Joe Q public best interest was to be served by a single appointed official of an elected Representative, President Taft~ we would be lead to believe.

Of course that was 1910 Time, any “owners” if there be one, would be prodigy at this point.

      • http://gravatar.com/bychoosing Jay

With apologies, deer, but what, exactly, is your point?

      • http://gravatar.com/dawgbisquit1 Tom W.

He’s only got buttons, you have to be a BUCK to have points! LOL!!! See ya, wouldn’t want to be ya! LOL!!!

      • Deerinwater

It stands to reason, if there be owners of the Fed, they would be at or have Representative at such a meeting ~ that was my point. Having some ideas as to what or who “an owner” might have been in 1910 could offer insights to Times question, ” Who owns the FED?” That was my point Jay.

      • Michael J.

        Deerinwater,
All in attendance at The Jekyl Island betrayal of America were Rothschild surrogates. The Rothschild Dynasty has owned controling influence in the world for centuries. But don’t take my word for it, suggest you hold a seance to summon the spirit of Napoleon and ask him the same question. The only difference is that today they own 100% of the stock, having looted Fort Knox and confiscated the gold as colateral against our nations debt to the Fed while the rest of us are left to squabble over worthless fiat play-dough.

The only quest remaining is total control over absolutely everything and everyone. Ruling like gods with the power to control the economy, the weather, un-natural disasters and the total sum of our numbers.

  • Dorian Douglas

There are some salient points in the article and many of the responses. But EVERYONE is missing the crux of our situation.

Our banking system was put on the road to ruin (this time!) in 93 & 94, when congress (Dems & Pubs) created NINJA loans (loans to people with NoIncomeNoJob or Assets, or at least not enough income or assets to repay the loans). Then the Clinton Administration beat banks over the head to make the loans, by threatening to pull banks’ charters if they didn’t. (Look it up!)

When the banks ran out of money to loan (what did congress think would happen!), congress (Dodd & Franks, but with lots of other Dems & Pubs) created Fannie & Freddie (using our tax $$$, borrowed money, or newly printed Monopoly money) to buy up the toxic loans, so the banks could start the merry-go-round all over (& over & over) again. Along the way, congresspersons learned how to enrich THEMSELVES on this Ponzi scheme. Then they went a step further, and “authorized” F & F to “bundle” packets of of these worthless loans as “Securities”, then forced banks to buy some of these “Securities” to meet requirements that congress imposed on banks! Goldman (and maybe others) resold some of the “securities” to unsuspecting clients (with the blessings of congress!!!), then hedged their bets, knowing (or at least believing) that the “securities” were bogus.

Bush (to his credit) tried to rein F & F in, starting in 2001, & again in 2004 & 2005 (which by the way, Obama fought; so what did he inherit????). But Bush couldn’t get enough votes (Dems & Pubs) in congress (they were getting too much money from the scheme) to get it done. (Many have publicized this, but CNN ran the best expose at the end of Oct 2008, including film clips of both Bush & McCain trying to to save us by changing the system, and Obama threatening a filibuster.)

The final insult to us citizens was Dodd/Frank legislation in 2010, to regulate the banks against doing WHAT CONGRESS FORCED BANKS TO DO!!! (Where was our news media, except FBN & IBD, and sometimes WJS) to expose this?????)

One of Government’s roles in a free society is to “Promote the General Welfare”! (I read that somewhere!) Welfare here is NOT any facet of the Nanny State, but to protect us from Force & Fraud. But government CAUSED the Banking Fraud by FORCE (and is now using that fraud as the excuse to expand the nanny state).

Have capitalists EVER Force congress persons (or presidents, or bureaucrats) to take bribes????? Really??? Forced them to????

So to blame “greedy capitalists” for our problems is missing the point, and rediculous. The article at times, and many of the responses, sound like Michael Moore (that great capitalists who continues to try to bite the hand that feeds him), who once asserted (during an HLN interview) that “capitalists make laws to benefit themselves”!!! Really!!! Capitalists can make laws????

Who make laws? Legislators! And whether they make bad laws out of good intentions, or whether by graft & corruption, bad legislation is bad legislation. And when bad legislation causes problems, we need to identify the legislation as the culprit, not try to “score points” to justify some half-baked political philosophy. And Progressives, liberals and conservatives alike all do it. And continue to get it wrong.

Who enforces laws? Government Bureaucrats, some of whom are as corrupt as the legislatures. Are they FORCED to take bribes???? Really????

As a wise man once said 25-30 years ago, “Government is not the solution to the problem, Government IS THE PROBLEM.” To look elsewhere is a fool’s folly.

    Dorian Douglas

    • GALT

Dorian, you are quoting the “idiot” that began the problem……..and you are experiencing the results……….you have a corrupted government……..your problem is those that have corrupted it.

      • Sanders

Galt, you may be right. Reagan may have started, although I believe it started long before him. But his message couldn’t any more correct even if he was talking about himself. Government is the single biggest problem in or country and probably most others. If government would get out of the way and let the private sector do what they do best, then most of our woes would correct themselves in fairly short order. That is of course, after their bills have been paid.

      • GALT

I know…….I was just dealing with the unattributed quote…..can’t get too complicated or ask for too much……..baby steps…….

No, the problem being is that, we have “Corruption”, and corruption cannot be eradicated. Well, actually, the only way to eradicate corruption completely, is to remove the entire human race off of planet earth…unfortunately with that plan, there will be no-one around to point out the non-existence of corruption…until then, we have to settle with the corrupt, pointing out the “corruption”…if that turns your crank, so be it.

      • GALT

w.i.A.L.F. irrelevant and of no consequence!

I’ve been fortunate enough to meet a few in my lifetime and know what to look for.

I judge peoples character by the way they treat other people and especially their enemies. What they will do to “others” likewise they will do to you.

You need to type in “Bush praising Fannie and Freddie” and WATCH THE VIDEO of bush PRAISING Fannie and Freddie for their assistance with low income home mortgages!! ESPECIALLY WITH MORTAGES TO PEOPLE WITH A BAD CREDIT HISTORY!!! THE MOST TOXIC OF ALL MORTGAGES! That was in OCT> 2002 when you said he was was wanting to rein them in in 2001!!
Now to 2004 when you said bush was trying to rein in the low income mortgage business! In 2004 bush ASKED FOR and SIGNED a bill that used US TAX PAYER FUNDS to make the DOWN PAYMENT for low income home purchases!! THE BAD MORTGAGES!!!!
TOO MUCH KOOLAID DORIAN!!! EVEN THE GERMANS KNEW MORE ABOUT WHAT bush WAS DOING THAN THE conservaties and FAUX NOISE!

BTW, DODD AND FRANK HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE CREATION OF FANNIE MAE! IT WAS CREATED YEARS AND YEARS BEFORE EITHER REACHED CONGRESS!
MILLIONS OF PEOPLE ARE LIVING IN HOME PURCHASED WITH THE ASSISTANCE OF FANNIE MAE AND PAID FOR BEFORE bush FISCAL POLICY BLEW UP THE ECONOMY!!

Democracy at work elevates any celebrity type politician to beyond his competency level. Been going on for longer than any one of us has been alive. But we collectively support idiots all the time, making the same mistakes that our grandfathers made.

Too many doctrinaire liberals and conservatives want to blame Mortgagegate on, respectively, the private sector or government. Really it was a joint venture between crooks on both sides. Oh how I would like to get Barney Frank on a witness stand under oath!!

Low “fixed” interest rates are a boon for bankers and people who are totally irresponsible in managing their own money.
Greenspan’s near 0 interest rates, along with the banking industry’s idiotic belief the housing prices could rise by double digits forever, are the primary reasons that we are in the mess that we are in now.
To compensate for the blunders of the past, the Fed is now holding interest rates (free market?) to near 0. This makes it easier for people who can’t afford goods and services to partake in them anyway. It also allows small businesses, many of which are poorly conceived and/or managed, to have access to easy money. Unfortunately, as with the use of any narcotic, real problems are masked, but not solved
Responsible people, including retirees, who actually lived within their means and have played by the rules, are the ones paying the price. This is bad for them and bad for the economy. Those few extra dollars made by fair and honest free market interest rates are not available to be spent.

I am so tired of gloom & doom!!! If Bob Livingston put more effort into showing his readers how much money there is to be made out there, how much opportunity there is, it would go further towards assisting this economy. There are people making millions online in all kinds of ways. There is more than enough money for every person in the world! Why not focus on those businesses that are doing well, moving manufacturing back to the US and having record profits! No, gloom & doom sells better.

What creates all the problems in the world? Greed, anger, dissension, hunger for power etc. – all the negatives. With more emphasis on the positives, there is more impetus for improvement in the world condition.

Karolyn, Bob has offered some good sound advice for your own good. Did you watch and listen to his audio above? It is not people like Bob who has created the economic mess we are in today and the much worse that is headed our way like an out of control freight train. It’s our government. I’m sick of the doom and gloom too, but have my eyes wide open and realize that Bob couldn’t be more accurate. I’m not too sure of the “hyper”inflation, but extreme inflation is inevitable and coming much sooner than most realize.

“And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.” – Rev. 20:4 (KJV)

    • Deerinwater

      Willy says:

“Bob, If we can print money to infinity, why don’t we just do that to answer our 16 trillion dollar debt to the Eurozone?”

Actually Willy this can and has been done before, the British Empire counterfeited the early Colony’s money and flooded the market, debasing the Continental Note enacted by congress in 1775 to print paper currency. The reason for this? They didn’t approve of our money and wanted payments in gold. The Boston Tea Party was just a single event in a long running feud with the Crown and the Colonies over money and payment.

While Ron Paul speaks of “Continental Note” in his book on page 8, he make “no” mention of the Crowns malicious counterfeiting activity as that would not serve his purpose to discredit the FED or help in his defense of a gold standard. ( It’s funny how omitting data can change tenor and tone.) Yes~ your beloved Ron Paul is just a guilt of omission of facts for convince as the next guy.

      • Deerinwater

My I direct you to Ron Paul’s book “End the Fed” copyright 2009 1st edition, page 8 , third paragraph,

“The time to do it (end the Fed) is now. The Fed activities since the market melt-down of 2008 has been dangerous in the extreme. The Fed is using all of it’s power to drive the monetary base to unprecedented heights, creating trillions in new new money out of thin air. From April 2008 to April 2009 the adjusted monetary base shot up from $856 billion to an unbelievable $ 1.749 trillion dollars. Was there any new wealth created?New production? ~ NO! this was the Ben Bernanke printing press at work.

Now Tom, ~ I really don’t know when you woke up from your induced stupor but the problems we address today ‘were not’ crafted by the current administration that attempts to offer solutions. It’s wasn’t until Feb 28th of 2009 that “W” handed over the keys to the ranch, giving “O”‘s administration only 30 days from a flat footed start to affect the FED in anyway at all.

But as Ron Paul explains it, no elected official truly controls the FED while some influence must certainly be possible.

and ~ Thank you Tom, for giving me the opportunity to stay in context and interject meaningful data.

You may want to rethink your utopian stance and prepare. Talk to older folks who were very young living through the Great Depression, they know first hand what is coming and most are preparing or already prepared.

I did a short homeless stint in Louisville, KY where I witnessed a man stab another man in the eye with his umbrella over a place in line! I was standing in line at a soup kitchen one night, I was cold, wet, tired, and starving! The food smelt sooo good!!! I believe that the night I’m referring to, I was at one run by the Catholic charities. I was looking around and all of a sudden v.5 of the 23rd Psalm hit me like it never had before! I got to lookin’ around after that and I realized that wherever I went for assistance, be it food, clothes, medical needs, etc., I began to notice that ALMOST ALL of those places had ONE thing in common, care to guess?! Christian organizations!!! You don’t see no New Age soup Kitchens!

        Psalm 23
        King James Version (KJV)

1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

      • GALT

        So you are waiting for…….?

    • Meteorlady

My great grandparents lived through the Depression. They were farmers and lived on a section of land. They were self-sufficient and I remember them telling me about all the indigent people that came through asking for work. They would feed them if they could, but they didn’t have work for them. They didn’t depend on the government, FEMA or any other entity. In those days – before the Federal Government because Big Brother – people took care of themselves and made their own way in life. They helped their neighbors when disaster struck because they knew that eventually they might also need help.

What is going to happen to all the people in the inner cities if we have an economic collapse? It will probably be like New Orleans with everyone sitting on the curb waiting for the Federal Government to show up. It won’t happen because there will be no federal government left without money to support them.

      • http://gravatar.com/dawgbisquit1 Tom W.

Back in the day Meteorlady if you lived in the country and you had a need, like you needed a new barn or something, neighbors pulled together and helped you build that barn because they knew that if tey were in the same predicament, they could count on you!!! Neighbor helping neighbor. That spirit is still alive! Following Hurricane Ivan I witnessed it first hand along the Gulf Coast of western FL and southern AL!!! Pray for the people of central FL! They’re taking a beating from TS Debbie as we post!!!

To advise those buying gold to keep it in their possession does not always end well. On one particular occasion there are three people dead and the safe the gold was contained in is gone. By the way, they also considered themselves prepared to “protect” themselves and possessions.

    • http://www.survivingurbancrisis.com/ Silas Longshot

Lesson learned? Keep yer yap shut when you’re preparing for the worst. Talking about his gold stash was his undoing. By the time the 4th or 5th person downstream of the ‘trusted’ person who was told about the gold finds out, the likelyhood of a pleasant outcome is gone.

I was a “hoarder” or survivalist for a while. But then the thought came to me. “I could snipe a bunch of people with my sniper rifle. But, eventually, I’ll run out of bullets.” The supply of people is endless. And, after i killed a bunch of their friends, what do you think they will do to me? It would be a wet dream for Dr. Megeleh!!!!

We are all in this together. Remember, it’s not “the separated states of America”, it’s the “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!”

      • Sanders

KG, hoarding shouldn’t be meant for just supporting your own family, rather it should be for co-existing in a small community with your neighbors. Everybody pitching in to help all survive, each with their own strengths and skill sets to aid in the common good for the small community. You are right, if you try to go it alone, you will undoubtedly lose in the end.

We should have gone through the fire in 2009 and allowed GM, Chrysler, Wall Street and all the banks that were involved go through bankruptcy. Had that been done, we would not have spent a trillion dollars to save people who could not run a business in the black. No business is too big to fail….let them fail and someone else will pick them up (like Bain Capital). We would have been on the backside of this problem had it not been for the bailouts. My husband and I ran two offset businesses and we never had a bailout and we ran then in the black. If you can’t run a profitable business, then you should not be in business in the first place.

    • Chester

Funny thing is, everyone WANTED GM to flatline, total and complete failure. That would have left Ford, Toyota, Honda, Hundai, and a host of other foreign owned companies in charge of our auto production. With less competition, prices can go up and people have to pay them to have what they want or need. Of the lot I mentioned, Ford is the only essentially American owned and operated company. Of course, when GM and Chrysler went belly up, so would a few thousand other businesses who supplied products to them, along with all the small businesses that kept the workers fed and clothed. Instead of two or three companies in the auto industry going bankrupt and being parted out to the highest bidders, there would be several thousand going belly up with NO potential buyers. Same goes for the banks. If they had gone bankrupt, Uncle’s insurance company for depositors, the FDIC, would have run out of funds long before all depositors were repaid to the limits of the coverage. Thus, even more people out of work, and no place to borrow money to open their own businesses with all the major banks shut down and being auctioned off. Look at the realities of things rather than just the wannabees.

      • Meteorlady

Your comment does not make much sense to me. GM did file for Charter 11 anyway. My parents lost a lot of money when the bondholders were bilked and Obama called them “greedy” for wanting their money back. Didn’t JP Morgan just do the same thing they got bailed out for in 2009? How about the fact that the union is the controlling entity at GM now. We taxpayers would have to see GM stock go to about $53.00 per share before we would be paid back. That’s not going to happen anytime soon unless the money his horribly inflated by the FED.

Obama in essence nationalized the banking industry, the car industry and the healthcare system in this country and that’s truly really scary since the government has been unable to run anything for a lot of years.

Well written. The proposed bailouts never made it to the “victims”, highways, infrastructure, or market. It landed in the pockets of bankster fat cats. Social engineering is alive and well with the Fed. Just a simpleton here, but i understand that there is a war going on between those of us that work and pay our fair share and those who reap the efforts of others for free. The last three questions from GALT really sum up what has happened. The fact of the matter is that America has been a socialist Democracy since 1935. In 1980, a guy came along and said “Away with all of these programs that help people” and then GOT REELECTED even after cutting many popular programs.

We have “capitalist” trying to run something they dont care about. What’s supposed to happen is when money gets as cheap as it is now, you capitalists are supposed to take that money and SPEND IT! On infrastructure, highways, bridges, etc. But you keep giving it to your “Share holders”. And when you said that the FED was stopping the states from doing their job, just remember Who was there – A bunch of fn REPUBLICANS.

And now you want to silence the last legitimate money power that can counter your attacks against the American People – LABOR UNIONS. All of those who want to “repatriate” to somewhere else DO IT AS SOON AS YOU CAN. You are TRAITORS ANYWAY!!!!! You claim to love America, and yet tear it down every chance you can.

    • carl

labor unions are based on communism. you show your stupidity. The illegal Federal Reserve and their unconstitutional income tax is why America is having problems. Corruption from the Marxists on the left (which includes unions)
and the crooks on the right. If our constitution was truly followed by our government the system would work and we all would benefit.

    • Meteorlady

OMG – what a crock. Labor Unions? Your labor unions just spend over $30 MILLION In just two states trying to run publicly elected officials out of office because they went against the unions. Never mine that the people of Ohio and Wisconsin elected these guys and that they ones elected have done what they said they would do. Here’s probably the biggest reason labor unions were involved in Wisconsin. …. the state stopped taking union dues out of their employees checks. They stopped making in mandatory that they had to join the union. They stopped bilking the members for around $1100 to $1500 per year in union dues, which they can now use to fund their own retirement and healthcare. AND they lost about 50% of their members – big incentive to do a recall… huh?

I had a small business. My people have voted three times to unionize and all three times it was voted down. They get good benefits, health care, a nice salary and raises if they produce. I provide a safe working environment – this is all because my employees are a valuable asset to my business and it costs to fire one and retrain others.

      • http://gravatar.com/dawgbisquit1 Tom W.

Sure Meteorlady, labor unions in this country are corrupt! Why should they be any different from anything else here in the Land of the Brave and the Home of the Free?!!

      • Robert Rashbrooke

Presumably you believe that ONLY those in elected positions AND THEIR BACKERS are allowed to spend vast sums of money, sometimes their own personal money and othertimes collected monies, to remain in their elected position; people who think differently have no say and are not allowed to spend similar sums in opposition.

Please explain to me why OUTSIDERS of the location of the elected one (superpacs and individual monied capitalists) are spending multi millions in an attempt to keep the elected one in place if they do not expect some return on their investment. Why are people now prepared to spend multi millions of their own personal wealth getting themselves elected to positions of power and control -Gov Scott, Linda McMahon, et al. since one thing they will achieve in succeeding is the enmity of about half the population.

  • GALT

Unfortunately, endless repetition of “facts” without co-relation to “reality” is useless.

The “fact” is “government” having been corrupted by “free market capitalists”, got precisely the conditions they paid for……..and crashed the system……… this “corrupted
government” in conjunction with the “FED”……..decided to “bail out” the perpetrators of this “corruption”………..while ignoring the “victims”………..and since the conditions that led to this are essentially unaltered……..the potential for this to continue remains.

The professions of “advertising and public relations” are not courses of study because they DO NOT WORK……….they exist, precisely because THEY DO WORK, and once you understand this, the next step is to ask yourself, who do you imagine they are working on?
    Everyone BUT YOU?

let’s see….you have 1.) a corrupted government ( who do you imagine corrupted them, the poor and destitute? with what, the promise of a vote? for whom? the choices you are permitted are already determined and it was not the victims who chose them. 2.) the “unregulated free market capitalists” which to be clear are “corporations” who are entirely
engaged in the concept of “money from money” and the “immortality of debt”, war, exploitation and slavery. 3.) a public, made up of victims, and potential victims, easily distracted to the extent that, even the endless repetition of THESE facts…….has simply divided the above, with the result that the POTENTIAL VICTIMS are blaming, the victims, and clamoring for MORE of…..what caused all of this in the first place.

Wage slaves are NOT your problem……….nor did they cause your problems…..you are not HERE because of “socialists or communists”……..these people do not run the FED, or the corporations. or the government………anymore than BP cares about the Gulf, or has cleaned it up, no matter how many commercials they run saying that they do and that they have.

If you FOLLOW THE MONEY, it does not lead you to the “victims”, or socialists or communists……….

    * and just to pre-empt the idiotic……..regarding the use of ” free market unregulated capitalism” in this essay……….

1.) What “regulations” were in place?
2.) What aspect of this market was not FREE?
3.) Which of the transactions were not VOLUNTARY?
4.) Using the term “crony capitalist’s”, does not alter any of the above conditions that were in place and CAUSED the problem.

Government was not corrupted by, as you say, “free market capitalists”. Rather, government was corrupted by unscrupulous, degenerate, and greedy individuals, who have benefited from the “free market system”. The “free market system”, as you craftily alluded to, is not the problem, rather, we, are the problem, humanity, who corrupts everything it touches…precisely because all, are corrupt…as the Good Book says…that would include you as well, Galt…unless of course, you disagree?

In the meantime allow me to explain what “crony capitalism” really means since you don’t seem to have a handle on it. When any part of the government enacts favorable legislation or creates executive fiat for a particular industry or individual company to the detriment of competition and in return for political capital, that is “crony capitalism”. Now it has always been part of the political scene in one degree or another, but the current administration has made it an art form, making Obama and his gangsters the most corrupt group of politicians since the era of Al Capone.

I just love your comments, you have exposed the truth as to what is going on in Washington where the corruption is born, and fed by those that the gain from the corruption. Unfortunately the masses of Americans are lead to believe one party may save them, well folks neither political parties will save you. It happened in Europe and Asia the result was a revolution, now we are at the birth of a revolution that may occur in America perhaps in 20 years from now. Try to save your assets and never believe all of the propaganda that is put out by the news media, the media is owned by some of the corrupt groups that feds the politicians that you elect.
I support capitalism but a new kind is now born, it once created slaves for higher profits, and after slavery was abolished it has now found a new approach hire labor from third world countries at wage level that is cheaper than owing a salve.

Knowing human psychology, satan used & uses human pride, envy, jealousy, disobedience to separate people from God.

Paul warned: “Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction. For the time will come when PEOPLE WILL NOT PUT UP WITH SOUND DOCTRINE. They will turn their ears AWAY FROM THE TRUTH AND TURN ASIDE TO MYTHS.” (2Tim.4:2-4)

Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days. Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth. Ye have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton; ye have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter. Ye have condemned and killed the just; and he doth not resist you. Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.” – James 5:1-8 (KJV)

Government officials plan to erode debt to near zero by using inflation to devalue currency & debt instrument values to near zero. Example – a 1965 dollar is worth 14 cents today – a dollar debt incurred and rolled over since that time can be paid today with 14 cents of 1965 purchasing power – ref. BLS index 2011.

The result is bankruptcy for SSI ($100+ trillion) and all other pensions (near infinite $ total)

The big winner has been China! They are the might of industrial productive power. Call it a coalition of communists and monopolist banksters who have just about completed the looting and destruction of America!

The Constitution remains intact as written – all we have to do is enforce it! Do as we did with the Rosenbergs in the 1950’s – start with treason & work backwards to those who should be making gravel out of big rocks… all day long… in AZ Joe’s tent city!

there are no winners……there is NO DEBT…….trust me………but if you insist, “I’d rather owe you than CHEAT you out it.”

Now who are YOU, exactly? I’m only asking because I need to know where to send the check…….that is to say the PERSON to whom I owe this DEBT? After all, I surely wouldn’t want to PAY the WRONG PERSON?

This is a really great article! Thanks for writing it. Here is some news on the doubletalking Bernanke……. http://www.theonion.com/articles/drunken-ben-bernanke-tells-everyone-at-neighborhoo,21059/ Drunken Ben Bernanke Tells Everyone At Neighborhood Bar How Screwed U.S. Economy Really Is
Another thing that this Gov. has planned that they don’t want to tell anyone until after the election, is that there will be a new 1% charge on EVERY transaction you make at your bank. When you deposit your paycheck, you will pay 1%, when you take out some money, you will pay 1%, when you transfer funds from one account to another, you will pay 1%……Hey this is already starting to sound like a lot more than 1% on your money…. sounds like the Gov. is going to eat up your money, and tax you over and over on the same money, no matter what you do.
