And, you were right …. many in parts of America just cannot accept a 1/2 White-1/2 Black president, and the unprecedented hatred directed at Obama has much to do with his skin tone.

As an independent, I’m not happy with Obama, but I realize few presidents have ever inherited the juggernaut of a mess that the Republicans left him!

Just a little inside info for you…I don’t watch the MSM….period ( none of them are trustworthy and none of them actually report “NEWS”…simply opinion pieces). If I watch the tube at all…it is usually the SYFY channel ( at least I know it’s fiction….before I turn it on).
I do my research online…and perfer to hear comments from the horse’s mouth rather than listening to a third party schill giving me their opinion on what was said or done.

I do watch Fox, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, BBC, PBS and I understand what spin is. MSNBC and Fox are the worst offenders of spin with Fox being an actual agent for the GOP.

I also know how to compile data and analyze then come up with conclusions. I know what “context” is. I am subscribing to this newsletter because if my belief’s are worth keeping, they need to be challenged… Unfortunately, most people just want to hear people agree with their version of truth.

Can you tell me who Romney’s major contributors are? Obama’s? What does that tell you? Since you do online research. Can you tell me what Obama has done that has conservatives in an uproar? Look at Obama’s spending from the real source. Look up how many filibusters the GOP have put forth and compare to the previous administration. Read the S&P report on why the downgraded the United States credit rating.

Lastly, look up the record of the GOP and you tell me if their policies of deregulation, tax cut and spend and useless wars have helped or hurt this country.

WAKE UP! you are having a bad Obummer dream. When Obummer took office the national debt was at 10.6 trillion, it is now at nearly 15.6 trillion. Where I went to school that is 5 trillion additional dollars added to the national debt.

Excuse me but it was President Bush who turned a surplus into the start of the deficit we are facing now. The truth hurst doesn’t it? It was the Republicans who got us into the mess we are in now.

I’m not sure where you went to school…but just a quick piece of education is needed for you. There was no “surplus” when Bush took over…the US has had a debt…since the Federal Reserve came into existence back in 1913 ( actually longer than that). Now, if the country has a debt…then they don’t have a surplus of anything…because the DEBT…is still owed. If you owe the bank $1000 and you decide to pay a payment of half that…and keep the other 500 in your pocket ( for now)…do you now have a surplus?…of course not…you still owe that 500 to the bank….so, you in fact…do not have a surplus of 500…because you still have to pay that back to the bank…that is how our government does business and claims that the 500 they didn’t pay back…as a surplus.
There is a big difference between debt and deficit….you should learn the difference. Debt…means…you owe money to some entity…..
Deficit means that you spent more money than you actually took in (in revenue)…therefore, if you exceed the amount that you took in…you must borrow money from some entity…to make up the difference in what you took in vs. what you spend. Bill Clinton did not have a surplus…because we still owed a debt….and instead (using funny government acctounting)…he claimed what he didn’t spend…as a surplus….AKA…misdirection….because the Average American…believes the lies that their elected (?) officials tell them…
To recap…there was no surplus…and never has been a surplus….only money …that they haven’t spent…YET…………..(key word..YET).
Now, under Obama, we are averaging about 3 trillion a year in government spending…but the government only takes in about half of that amount yearly…..therefore…they are borrowing the difference ….every year….does that seem sustainable to you?…It doesn’t to me.
I hope that I have educated you just a little bit about “Surpluses” that don’t exist.
Once we pay off Approx. 16 trillion in debt….we start looking for “surplus”…until that happens…there isn’t any surplus…nor will there be.

Average ‘GOP’ Joe. The daily stuff you continue to miss. Economically the country has improved under Obama although there is much more to do to fix the messes Bush left. Now, this week, the House (GOP) Speaker says the thing that bothers them the most is that President Obama didn’t even ask Congress to do something concerning immigration. Nancy…step back and take a deep breath. First off, Pres. Obama has the US back fairly stable from the abyss he inherited from the previous administration. Overall, with a few areas of shakiness…we’re standing OK economically. Jobs need to come back, but with the GOP killing every job creation bill presented…employment recovery will be slowed for awhile.

Europe however, swallowed the Kool Aid and went with what the GOP and TPers push for the US. Austerity in targeted stimulus spending. And today we see where that would have taken us. Over the frippin’ cliff. Had we gone with the policies the TPers and the GOP were pushing, today we’d be trying to figure a way out from the Second Depression.

As it stands, our economic engine is slowed quite a bit because of the European situation. Had they worked together in joint with us as was proposed by the administration during the first economic summit…I’d say we’d be well on the way to a situation where the Fed would be trying to put the brakes on the economic engine racing down the pike.

And we’d have no issue with the deficit spending as revenues would increase from increased economic activities and as the political will to do away with the Bush Welfare for the Wealthy tax cuts would be present.

I was thinking…it’s going to be a miserable ride….everything considered. (kind of like going to Disneyland…and only one attraction is open…”oDumbo”…)

Well in this case both of you have done neither.

Nancy, I’d be the first to admit, I nor anyone else knows with certainty was next week will bring, much less next year.

But what I do know is that tomorrow will come one way or the other and these people that want to sell you fear have a agenda to sell this fear. What is it that makes you believe that these people give a hoot about you to offer you such “good” advise? What have you don’t for them? What can you do for them? Believe “their truths” and offer them support, allowing you fears to override anything else or any other vision offered?

I think Ron Paul is one of the very few that foretold today. ~ Ron Paul was sounding an alarm as early as 1991.

But today, Ron Paul is in much the same position as all GOP voters, willing to support his parties candidate at every opportunity knowing full well Romney will be another puppet like 43 and serve as a face to monied elite as they funnel more money and power into the hands of a very select few.

Maybe that is a good thing? Maybe that is what we should have, maybe that is what we deserve to have as Americans. But I fail to see much in the way of promise and hope for the individual by giving more to those that use money alone to buy status and position. Is one own merits only valued by the dollar anymore?

I’ve found that a mother’s love is the only thing I’ve ever been able to depend on. These people do not love you or I. While on the other hand, I resent being seen a “commodity” a expendable, renewable resource. Only as long as I keep breeding and consuming am I seen as having value.

There is a lot happening on the business front today while the media that you have made your personal choice finds it not in their best interest to report it. Much like Ron Paul, the media did a good enough job of making Ron Paul invisible, the best man for the job of President was hardly a consideration.

Huge project takes years to get started, ~ we’ve had three. The first tradesmen on any job is the surveyor, then the plumbers, why plumbers ? because water runs down hill, drainage is installed below ground before you ever build, then comes the concrete men and electricians, then the carpenters, roofers, brick layers and painters.

Today, the bankers, lawyers, politicians, drafting designers, engineers and insurance companies are just finishing up 3 years of planing ~ and why I say, 2013 will be our comeback year.

It does not matter what you are building, all these events must take place in some orderly workman like fashion.

Ron Paul is still in the race…Ron Paul is supporting his own platform. Ron Paul did not support McCain in 2008…and he won’t support Romney this time around (if in fact Romney is nominated in August)…I can pretty much guarantee that…..nor will I or pretty much anyone that I know. Paulitically Motivated people are pretty loyal to their candidate.

You know that first guy on the job?…The Surveyor?…That would be me….and I can tell you from a surveyor’s point of view…things are not looking too promising for 2013…there are too many unfinished and empty housing on the market…for any building to begin. Why is that?…because simply starting construction up again…will only provide temporary jobs…until the next building boom…busts again ( and it will be much more devastating this time)…and then there will be even more vacant real estate…because the jobs..(construction)…are once again…gone.
Real jobs, manufacturing etc…need to be created first and formost….otherwise you are only creating temporary jobs with no longevity and this cycle will continue to drag us down into economic dispair.
We need to cut back on regulation and allow business to do what it is supposed to do…create jobs. The government is the problem…not the solution.

If I were to guess..i’d say it involved telling comments concerning the corruption of Mexican authorities and naming names in the Mexican hierarchy. Probably discussing the prior operations conducted by the Bush administration and the reasons for the failures being laid on the Mexican contingent.

Term limits are a double edged sword…because if they know that they only have a limited time frame to pass their agendas…they will just fastrack that agenda (let’s face it, the less congress does..the better off we are as a nation).
The best way to get rid of them is to start replacing the folks at the local level…we can’t replace the scum in DC…if we don’t first replace the folks that are enabling them…and those are the idiots at the local and state levels.
Freedom and Liberty must begin at home and work it’s way up to the Federal level…we can’t start from the top down…because those in the middle are resisting their “business as usual” lives being uprooted.

The best way to eliminate the vermin…is at the ballot box…starting from the bottom up…local, county, state…and finally…Federal.

I like some of his domestic policies but his foreign policies scare me. He says he wants to pull all our troups back. That policy will not work: we need them out there gathering intel on our enemies (whom ever they may be) or even our so called allies may be planning something and we need to know what those plans are so that we can respond accordingly.

As for voting for Romney, I was for Cain because I like his 999 plan and several other of his plans. However, I had to switch my vote to Santorim not because he dropped out I need to switch again. Now I feel the best man, one with experience in running a business, running a Government, is Romney. Atleast he has had to make payroll for his employees. The idiot we have in the Whitehouse, I feel, is so incompetate(?) that he couldn’t even pour p–s out of a boot with the instructions written on the heel. AJ, I agree with some of your statements on who does the job of gathering intel, however our troops (Combatant and Non-combatant) do garner some intel just by being in the right place at the right time. Take for instance if you along with a squad of Grunts are out on patrol and you happen to come across several enemy soldiers doing the same thing as you do and the Grunts (us not them) happen to be faster on the draw than those soldiers. After the shooting has stopped, the Grunts start gathering up any items that the enemy just happen to have. Those items are now what is called intel: they tell the right people what type of unit those soldiers belonged to (weapons, uniforms, patches, and etc.), where they were going (Maps), where they came from (Maps), what type of mission they were on (orders or papers). Or another example is say you are sitting in your favorite watering hole or Cafe and you happen to over hear someone in the next booth talking about attacking a convoy that will be leaving from your base in a couple of days: will you disregard what you just heard or will you report it to someone higher. What you do will either save lives or get people kill; you decide.

One of my jobs while in the military was Recon (Scout): I had to known how to reconize vehicles (be they ground or Air) by nomanclature(?), type, country, etc; units by the kind of uniforms and patches that their troops were wearing. I just didn’t just destroy thing I had to know just what I was faceing. In otherwords my job was to gather intel so that those that were following me could give proper and timely orders to insure the completion of our mission. Oh, I also worked as an Battalion Intel Specialist (you’d be surprised at what crossed my desk).

The one thing I learned in all my years in the Military was that there wasn’t anything that couldn’t be used as intel. You just varified what was being given to you before you could use it.

However, I am an American citizen due to the fact that I was born to American parents who were out of the country doing the bidding of the Nation as was McCain.

BTW, International law says the baby generally takes on the

I personally traveled to Panama this past February with a Panamanian lady who was born in the same hospital as McCain and she can verify the location was within the Canal Zone. Today’s union is nothing but another big business, Take a look at the union leaders. when was the last time they worked for a living like the union members and I dont mean for a day or so I mean their living was from that job not the 300,000 a year job as union leader. When was the last time the union got new manufacturing jobs in the US? How many jobs have left because of union demands? If only those who had worked for it were actually disabled. Out doing back flips on a jet ski is not my idea of disabled. Driving up to the welfare office in a new cadillac etc. Being on welfare from the day you turn 18 for life. No attempt at a job. Forget good paying jobs, go to work. Many of us are working two or more jobs. Working at lousy hours, wages etc to make ends meet. We do not have a problem with help out those who are trying to make it we are getting tired of those who are using us. Look at the percentage of those on welfare who had parents, grandparents, great grandparents on welfare. They never try to get off because they found out how to use the system. These are the people the Tsgt is and was speaking about. I believe in helping my fellow american who are willing to help themselves. I have found government is the last resort. Most of the homeless, foodless, jobless people I see getting help where I live are not getting it from the government because they dont know how to work the system. They are getting from the local community, the churches and food shelfs, etc. This is where I am willing to help people since I can truely see which one need help and which ones are ripping me off.

Oh, I have worked for several companies that did have unions and those union controlled companies were a joke. If you had a work-related problem the so-called union just made the problem worse BECAUSE of the regs that you had to abide by. THE GOVERNMENT-RELATED UNIONS WERE THE WORST TO WORK WITH! Alot of time those unions were controlled by the head honcho of the company or hospital and they just screwed you over. THEY WERE OUT FOR THEMSELVES OR JUST TO KEEP THE BOSS HAPPY!

Oh, there are some unions that do what they were formed to do, but they are few and far between.

My question is “does your relative say “socialism” or are you labeling what your family member says as that?

The pure and simple definition of Socialism is, per the dictionaries, “social organization based on government control of the production and distribution of goods”.

America, since its beginnings, as the USA, has been somewhat that with its laws and regulations. And there are different levels and kinds of socialisms in history. The very far right group, for example, Hitler’s Nazism, was a very socialistic society and we here in the US should never allow us to go any where near that far right. We should fight against any who want to go that far right as we should fight against any that might go that far left toward Communism or even try to get near either of those.

As for the rest of what you say I agree but with a slight difference. I am very much with God even though I am not Christian in any way. I feel what we must have and continue to strive for as the Founding Fathers did, is not any particular religion but for living our lives morally. As Americans it should never matter what the other guy’s religion is, or even if he/she has none. Americanism should be about respecting the rights and beliefs or others just as much as we would like for our own. There is no one (kind or otherwise) right religion or ways of relating to God. World history shows the evil in the thinking there is in “only our ways of relating to God are right for all”. For example, that is the extreme jihadists way and it is a way or method of certain established religions here in the US. Jihad is Jihad. It does not matter what language or religion who uses it. If you remember the Crusades, that was a Jihad by the Church.

So, as Americans we have to be careful how we deal out religion in our country. To each his/her own faith. No religion should dictate or try to influence law making in a free society. That is the reason for “Freedom Of Religion” and the NEED for “Separation Of Church And State”. The Founders were very wise but I wonder what is happening in our country since them.

McCain is a natural born citizen because he was born to two U.S. citizens as is required by the constitution his parents were stationed in panama. all military bases have hospitals so i sure he was born in that hospital. Obama is not a natural born citizen his mother was American but his father is from Kenya and not an American citizen which makes him not eligible to be president. you need to study the constitution and also the federalist papers and maybe you should educate yourself.

My ‘logic’ is in response to weather President Obama is eligible to be Presedent. If anyone out there thinks that McCain, the republican party, the teabaggers, the donors of millions of dollars, would let Obama win the election if they could PROVE he wasn’t they NEVER would have let him win. They would be rolling out the big evidence, calling for impeachment,all of it right now. This is people who only support democracy if their candidate wins,so instead they attack the President, tear down this country and our enemies appreciate all their hard work

At least McCain was not a COTUS (Community Organizer) out of Mob Town USA. He was a War Hero, and some one who would never bow down to some idiot 2-bit dictator or even insult one of our allies by bowing improperly as he did to the Japanese Emperior. SL, I have been screwed more often, both in my Military career and as a Veteran by the Socialist (Oops, Democratic) Party then by the Republican Party. Under the Dems my unit had to pay to have some of our weapons chambered for 22 Long rifle so that we could maintain our weapons qualifications. However, when the Republicans took over we got better equipment and more ammo. As to my Veterans benefis they were frozen under the Dems more often than under the Repubs, I seem to get a raise every year that they were in power.

Oh, I got a raise this year on my Military Retirement, SS, VA Disability (3.1%) and I believe that was do to politics. And I’m suppose to get another on in Jan (1.3%) but I won’t hold my breath because if the Dems retain power they’ll find some way to screw me again. This is just my opinion, howvere you can as other Active or Retired Military how they feel when their Government screws them in the way of pay and benefits.

Oh by the way, now the DOD under this P wants the Active and Retired Veterans to pay more for the medical insurance. What about them paying more for the health insurance or even refusing their pay raise EVERY year for once. Also they could forego their insurance benefits once they are out of office and by their own. Fat chance they would do that!

Obama has one American parent and that too is not in question. There is so much that says he was born in Hawaii and I see no point in an argument there either since neither of us can prove our stance but it is legally accepted that he is Hawaiian born. So if you cannot prove he wasn’t born in Hawaii are you also against the “You are innocent until proven guilty” factor when it comes to arrests too? I know most who are arrested are treated as though they are guilty until proven innocent so let’s not go there. I am only rhetorically asking what you believe about it. So for now if you can prove he wasn’t born in Hawaii and his mom is not American I would very much agree with you when you say “and not an American citizen which makes him not eligible to be president.”. One natural parent is generally all we need to be an American but even if Obama was born in another country, with his mom being an American, you would have to go to the American Embassy there for the ruling and guess what most American Embassies would say about one natural born Parent.

Think of this. So many times a foreigner married an American citizen. Some time it was just to stay here and many times it was for love and wanting to be together. If it is for love would you be against that too? It is not off the beat with only one of Obama;’s parents being an American.

It always just sounds at though who have been told to hate Obama since way before he was elected President would hunt for any reason to destroy him.
