Liberal Talk Show Host Wants To See Romney’s House Burn

Joy Behar is notorious for dissing Republicans.

Liberal TV personality Joy Behar said she would like to see Mitt Romney’s “house burn, one of his millions of houses burning down.” The comment came during an interview with the website Mediaite.

Behar lamented that Romney, along with Sarah Palin, has never come on to the talk show she co-hosts, “The View.”

Behar is going to be hosting a show on Al Gore’s network, CurrentTV. When asked if Romney would come on the show, she responded that she did not believe he would be willing.

The interviewer informed Behar that Romney did not think more public workers should be hired by local governments, and she responded: “Oh, less government? That is an idiotic statement. Can I just say that? I mean, I’d like to see his house burn, one of his millions of houses burning down. Who’s he going to call, the Mormon fire patrol?

“These statements are so stupid and they sound so ridiculous to the average American person,” she said in regard to conservative ideas.

Behar was asked what five people she would like to interview. She responded with President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, Abraham Lincoln, Mohandas K. Ghandi and Jesus — in that order.

“He [Obama] knows I’m a big fan,” she said. “I love Joe Biden very much.”

The thought of wishing tragedy like a burning home on anyone, is to me a very evil thought indeed.

A good father will discipline his children for transgressions, and it is done out of love, that the child will grow up to know the difference between good and evil, and choose good over evil. If you have not seen this look it up on utube it is really fun to watch Ms Behar get beat down verbally by someone as smart and quick witted as Michelle.

    You know, if I said something like that, I would probably be investigated by the FBI, Homeland Security, and the Secret Service. That constitutes a public threat to someone and their property. Where does she get off saying it on TV? They’d probably get a warrant to search my car, my office, and my home (even under my bed). God help me if I own a candle lighter or a cigarette lighter, or the gas can to fill my lawnmower. These people make such horrible remarks and get away with it. Even the President of the AFL-CIO makes threatening statements “IN PUBLIC” and no one does anything to them.       I used to watch the show. In fact I watched it for years. It used to be pretty apolitical but at some point there was a drastic shift and joy was allowed to spout out her crap in the name of humor. At this point I’d get so angry every time I watched that I just quit watching it! Now I think she’s totally out of control and when I look at her, I cringe. She is evil personified.

    Also, as a Mormon myself I take personal offense to this womans comments. Mitt Romney is not the one that injects his religion into the political field. Joy Behar and others like her make an issue of it just to persecute her. Then they complain if someone on their side of the aisle gets similar treatment. Usually if they do get similar treatment it is from someone on their side of the aisle and they eventually blame it on the Republicans. See some of the early attacks on Obama. They were started by Hillary Clinton and they were eventually blamed on the Republicans. Even the original Birther controversy was brought up by the Clinton Campaign.

    That is ancient history now.

      The point she was trying to make was who are the people that are going to stop that fire. The public worker that is the BANE of the GOP.
      Without enough police, firemen, teachers, local govt. support staff things are getting stretched. Closing parks and letting things go to waste because of deficits.
      Now there are reasons for all the communities problems. In my area when the housing prices went off the map the local govt. spent on equipment like vehicles for all departments, extra people (cops and even code enforcement) to drive around and catch law breakers. New buildings, new everything and we are largely Republican here in FLorida.
      Then with all the budget surpluses they dropped the millage rate for property taxes. Housing values drop from the sky and budgets now have deficits. No taxes increased because they ran on “No New Taxes”.
      My feeling is some raising of the property taxes closer to what we were paying could be stepped up incrementally. In our market that is the largest revenue source locally, Tourism contributes to sales tax for the state but the local is stifled.
      Seems unreasonable and when you see the police and city govt. types driving around in almost new vehicles for every department, it gets my blood boiling. Did I mention they are not standard utility type vehicles but SUV’s loaded type things. Probably won’t hold up either.

        Here in Georgia, a right to work state, our public safety personnel do not belong to unions. Yet they are wonderful, hardworking, caring men and women. Public safety in most counties have wait lists for recruits.
        The union is no longer needed, and if truth be known, union members would just as soon sack the union leadership for theft and corruption.

        I’m upset with the right wing govt. we have here that overspent and dumped our people. Not union members at all.
        they bought cars and overspent because the budget surplus was thete. Like republicans do.
        Then have to pull back and decrease the level of basic emplyment needed to properly run things. And of course they can’t increase our millage to raes we were used to.
        It’s all the republicans in office here in Florida that have screwed it all up.

        Oh, by the way, I operate three businesses and never collected unemployment in my entire life.
        I mowed lawns to go to college. But I got nothing but grief from the “business majors” that were conservative family types.
        They didn’t even work while going to college and I was the curve setter on all the classes. Maybe they were just stupid, really they never studied, they had rich daddies to take care of everything.
        So I’m accused of being something Im not by Dirty Deeds?

      What is Joyce thinking of throwing a label out for “firemen”? verses what it was a statement that did not fill in the blank as far as “who” it really pertained to, government is bigger than it should be. Michelle does not need 22 servants and they should not be paying a dog trainer a salary of $102,000.
