Searching For Cincinnatus

Searching For Cincinnatus
UPI FILE
Is there no statesman to occupy this office?

Now that Congressman Ron Paul has announced that he will no longer be pursuing victories in the remaining Republican primaries, I am left to ponder the increasing likelihood that I’m going to have to get used to saying “President Romney.” Granted, Paul’s decision to focus on delegates at this summer’s convention might work; but given the GOP’s nefarious behavior toward Paul so far, pigs would have to fly. Heck, if Paul pulls off a win in Tampa, Fla., Roseanne Barr might take wing (something we’d all like to see, regardless of the Convention’s outcome).

Nonetheless, we replaced a President with the hormone-dominated behavior of an oversexed teenage boy and a penchant for blowing up stuff in Eastern Europe with a President with the diction of a teenage boy and a penchant for blowing up stuff in the Mideast. Then we replaced him with a President with the physique of a preteen girl and a penchant for blowing up stuff in Afghanistan (and the Mideast, Africa, Arizona and — given the predilections of President Barack Obama’s friends in Al Sharpton’s hate group and the New Black Panther Party — Sanford, Fla.). With Obama’s Administration wheezing like Michael Moore trying to touch his toes (perhaps he should start with his knees; baby steps, big fella), it looks increasingly likely that we’re going to replace Obama with Mitt Romney. For his part, Romney has given no notice that he isn’t going to dive into the Pentagon’s toy bin with any less enthusiasm than his predecessors.

The time has come to consider the reality that the American electorate will replace Obama with the “lesser of two evils.” In doing so, I can’t help but consider the absolute dearth of true statesmen among those who covet political power. President Harry Truman once said “a statesman is a politician who has been dead for 10 or 15 years.” Even a cursory glance at the archetypal 21st Century American politician proves him right. But why can’t we find our modern-day incarnation of Cincinnatus? Where is the man (sorry, ladies, person) who will not only assume power only if it is thrust upon him but will cast it aside the moment his term has ended? Is there no one among us who will restore dignity, honor and greatness to his office and our Nation?

In the interest of historical accuracy, I must inform you that Cincinnatus was not quite the hero you think he is. He was born without wealth, albeit with an important-sounding last name — much like one of those junior varsity Kennedys who appear on the cover of People only when they kill someone (as opposed to all the varsity Kennedys who get the cover of People even when they don’t kill someone). Cincinnatus wasn’t particularly fond of his fellow poor folk, believing they didn’t warrant treatment equal to those of patrician birth. In a sense, Cincinnatus was former West Virginia Senator and Democratic icon Robert Byrd if Byrd had had a conscience — except that Cincinnatus never deliberately cut eyeholes in his toga and wore it on his head.

As I write this, Memorial Day weekend is upon us. It’s a time for the Nation to reflect upon the sacrifices made by so many of our countrymen and countrywomen in what President Abraham Lincoln so perfectly described as “the last full measure of devotion.” Some people will use that reflection to gain a better sense of the divine gift those fallen heroes bestowed upon us as citizens of this great land: the ineffable greatness of freedom, new lyrics to country songs (“’cause freedom ain’t free, ya’ll!”), the benefits of gas vs. charcoal or — in the opinion of some at MSNBC (aka the Democrat Channel) — nothing in particular.

Perhaps the heir to President George Washington himself — as close to filling the Cincinnatus bill as any American ever was — is hiding somewhere among the men and women in uniform. Although I must note that serving in the military is hardly a prerequisite to serving in office. There are certainly no shortage of examples of those who were magnificent soldiers and horrendous politicians. Consider President Andrew Jackson: hell on the redcoats as general; hell on the redskins as President. There certainly have been — and are — more than a few military heroes who would return respect and honor to the White House; but why would they lower themselves to such undignified circumstances?

To be honest, I’ve often wondered about the sort of man who aspires to occupy the highest elected offices, specifically the Oval Office. After all, pursuit of the Presidency carries with it spectacular risk of one’s finances, reputation and peace of mind. And if the aspirant is a Republican, his detractors will attack even his children. A man willing to endure such potential personal disasters for four to eight years of earning the undying enmity of nearly half the population of the planet must be either supremely confident or supremely disturbed.

And perhaps that’s the lesson. There is no Cincinnatus. Even Cincinnatus wasn’t really Cincinnatus. Transposed to modern American circumstances, only the most horrendous among us would actually want to stay in Washington for more than a few hours if we really didn’t have to. True, there are a few stalwarts of decency who brave the bilge of the Nation’s Capitol out of a strong sense of duty and/or a weak sense of direction. Subsequently, Americans are left picking through the detritus of our democracy to find representatives who don’t make us physically ill. We practice pond-scum politics. We determine which of the candidates we can endure without crippling nausea, and then we hand them the keys to the national wheels.

Despite serious misgivings from a sizable number of conservatives, the Republican Party is about to name Romney its standard-bearer for 2012. Hell, despite the Obama Administration displaying all the Presidential acumen of the villain from a “Scooby-Doo” cartoon, a substantial number of Americans are still willing to keep him in Washington.

Allow me, therefore, to posit a theory: America can’t find her Cincinnatus. And America shouldn’t. If this Nation ever discovers a leader who truly embodies such virtue, we would never allow him to leave office and would be undone upon his death. Our mythical Cincinnatus would say: “That’s the point.” On the other hand, perhaps we deliberately avoid finding such a worthy leader because we know we don’t deserve him. It likely doesn’t matter. Should such a noble soul exist, he would want nothing to do with the whole wretched affair.

Sometimes your choice is to vote for the person who will do the least harm to the country.
I find that person to be Mitt Romney.

    • DaveH

Which is more deadly to our Freedom — a slow, almost imperceptible taking of our Freedom as people become accustomed to less and less of it, or a fast taking of our Freedom while people can still remember what it was and thus resist it?
Obama has done us a huge favor in his bumbling impatience to take over our lives. Never before have so many people reacquainted themselves with the Constitution and the Founders’ understanding of what it took to be Free. Let’s not throw that new-found knowledge away by allowing the election of the smarter, more patient Freedom Taker — Romney.

    • Rayma

Marilyn you could be wrong, if Romney gets in he will only continue what Obama started, only maybe a little slower,I have been voting since I was 21 and I am now 80,I never missed an election and studying the issues and the men who instituted them…the “shadow” people behind Obama are the same backing Mit Romney, there is a big “take over” due and if Obama isn’t stopped before he institutes “Martial Law” we may not have an election.RON PAUL is the only one who can bring on REAL change, they all know it and our military men & women who has been involved in what is going on know it! That is why they are all backing RON PAUL,I have already voted Ron Paul, I vote absenteeism. Stop listening to the EVIL news media,RON PAUL is not out of the elections, HE IS STILL IN…..READ YOUR CONSTITUTION AND YOU WILL UNDERSTAND WHO DOCTOR RON PAUL IS….

      • Nancy in Nebraska

        Thank You, Rayma!

    • Michael J.

Decisions, Decisions, Some will vote for Obama, and if he’s chosen, we will remain on the fast track to a socialist hell…
Others will vote for Romney, and if he is chosen, we’ll climb aboard a more relaxing slow ride to the same destination.

I choose to write in Ron Paul. What MSM deliberately fails to inform
the masses, is that Ron Paul enjoys across the board support of an ever increasing number of disgruntled Americans of all political flavors who have peered behind the false left-right paridigm curtain.

AND after the elections “You will hear a big (flushing) sound as everything goes down the toilet….

Mr. O’Malley, as a proud former military member and Tea Party advocate – I salute you for your common sense, superior insight and refreshing patriotism.

  • http://www.facebook.com/TheRealFatherOMalley Gary Vincent O’Malley

Sunshine patriots that won’t vote for the only viable alternative can take their patiotism and place it where the sun don’t shine. You disgust me! If Obama wins it will be on your hands. If you are so perverted as to draw a moral equivalent between 45 Czars by-passing congress to someone who’s feet can be held to the fire, then you are as hopeless as progressives. Tea Party patriots throughout this country decided early on they may not be powerful enough to overcome estabishment Republicans on the national level. They decided to become involved whole heartedly in local and state politics. From there, they reason, new blood can be recruited, gain political insight and experience and eventually gain ground on the National Level. They’ve taken the long approach as well as the short one (Presidential candidate of their choice) They will vote for Romney because they know that anything less is not patriotism, but narcism.

Hit nail on the head Gary, BRAVO!!!

    • DaveH

You disgust me, Gary. I’ve been hearing that same tired voice of insanity for 40 years now. The fact is that we cannot get our Freedom back by voting for candidates who don’t respect Freedom. No matter how many times you try that approach, Gary, the results will always be the same insanity — More Government.
Ignoramuses like yourself have doomed us to an ever-growing Government since the late 19th century. And that growth won’t cease until the citizens get their heads out and wake up to the reality that the Lesser of Two Evils is still JUST EVIL.
Rubber Stamping the establishment choices will NOT get our Freedom back.

    • Nancy in Nebraska

No!!! It will be on YOUR head!!! If you vote for evil, you will GET evil!!! If everyone who says Ron Paul can’t win would vote for him, he WOULD win! romney and obummer are the same thing! Open your eyes! Do some research! The people who will vote for Ron Paul are trying to save this country but idiots like you don’t see it! You think romney will save you from evil obummer! They both work for the same people!!! They follow the same agenda!

    • Kate8

Gary – There is only one thing I can say to you about that….

      Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh.

My head is starting to get sore from beating it against the wall with people like you.

    • Average Joe

“If Obama wins it will be on your hands.”

Has it ever occured to you…that we feel the same way about your choices?…That maybe…just maybe…if Obama wins…it’s on your hands? Do you somehow believe that the rules you make up…only apply to us?…..Dropped on your head as a child?…or have you been drinking the punch at the “PARTY”…get togethers?
      Silly, silly man…..grow up….find some logic….and then a clue.
I am voting for Ron Paul…because I am voting for America and her values.
      To recap:
If Obama wins another term…it will be on your hands….not mine.
I will vote my conscience…and you will vote the party line…… I win…..

      • Belinda Saxon

        dream on.

      • Kate8

        Well said, Average Joe.

We’re Americans. We don’t accept concepts like “can’t” and “won’t”. We just DO.

These nay-sayers have no vision, no spirit. They’d rather hold on to what they are used to…steady decline…and believing in people who have done nothing but lie and deceive, and rob us blind… than come around to a better way of thinking.

This time we won’t be scared into voting for NWO choice #1 or #2. We’ll make our own choice.

  • ScribbleKid

I believe that Romney will be not only a good president, but a great one, very much like Reagan, who was a true statesman. Romney is honest, moral, has a firm grasp of what America is all about and has the knowledge and experience to pull us out of the Obama- dug-ditch. He is a firm believer in God and is not afraid to show that he was born an American citizen and has NO Socialist or Communist leanings. If you really think he is an Obama clone, you obviously have not done your homework.

    • Dee

      Agreed.

      • Belinda Saxon

        100 per cent agree

    • nc

Scribblekid! He can also become a SAINT in his religion! ( if his contributions contInue to impress the guys in Salt Lake) Just think! America with it own SAINT serving as President! THERE GOES THE FIRST AMENDMENT! The founding fathers didn’t even know about ‘Latter Day Saints” when they drew up the First Amendment and failed to cover it! We can’t stop it because Congress can make no laws relative to religion!
Do you kneel before a Saint , just wave, or show him your voter ID?? We won’t even need Air Force One! Saints can travel on wings and do other things like talk out both sides of their mouth! Something Mitt has already perfected!

      • http://www.mototcarsfinancial.com Brad

NC you are only here to stir the pot. If you think it is against the law to grow and change you mind over the years of wisdom then you should be petitioning to throw your GOD you bow to every minute of the day under the jail cell because this POTUS we have now is the largest liar I have evr seen in my 52 years on this planet. He’s an a-hole and you are an a-double squiggly line licking brown noser being paid by his administration as a crap pot stirrer

    • DaveH
    • Michael J.

      Scribblekid,
The first thing you should know is that prominent Romney advisers including Robert Kagan and Vin Weber have attended past Bilderberg meetings. Since the meetings are receiving more public scrutiny, surrogates are sent

Secondly, Romney is a member of The Council on Foreign Relations as was his father, Gov. George Romney. The CFR, a Rockefeller prodigy, is the propaganda wing of the NWO who’s mandate since inception in the early 20th century was to control all media and in so doing, steer public opinion.

If you like big government progressives, then Romney’s your man.

      • Belinda Saxon

apparently you don’t watch television. CNN, NBE,CBS,ABC, and especially above all MNSBC. If Romney is in control of the media. He is talking against himself.

      • Michael J.

        Dear Belinda Saxon,
I have read your post and have decided that you are not sincere. I am nearly convinced that you are a schill, compensated by forces determined to marginalize Ron Paul. I suspect your reply or the lack there of, will cinch the deal for me.

BTW, Hardly anyone here relies on the alphabet propaganda TV sources you listed, and in itself was a deciding factor in my conclusion.

      • Belinda Saxon

The actions of your group of supporters seem to be marginalizing the work of Ron Paul.

      • Michael J.

        Belinda Saxon,
Ah..Ha.. The anger I sense in your words seems to bring about coherency in your writing. Is this the real you? Or is the ditsy mom portrayed in your other postings real?

BTW, I noticed you did not reject my claim.

      • Belinda Saxon

You talking to me? I don’t know of a ditzy person you refer to. But I appeared anger anywhere I don’t know of it. If I say something I say what I feel and try to use common sense. I have more common sense than most. I also don’t answer every post because I have things to do. I have a life outside this forum.

      • Belinda Saxon

Oh yes and what claim was I supposed to deny? I must have missed that post.

    • Nancy in Nebraska

“no socialist or communist leanings”? SERIOUSLY?!? Where have you been?!? Educate yourself! Have you not heard of romneycare?!? It was the model for obummercare! He is every bit as much a socialist as obummer! He’s just trying to hide it. If he tells you he’s from the moon, will you believe that too? Before you speak, make sure you know what you’re talking about. Spewing crap and propaganda won’t get you anywhere. Find out for yourself. Then you can speak the truth!

    • Average Joe

      Now that’s funny…the “Three Stooges” ride again…..lmao!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      • Average Joe

        For clarification…the “Stooges” are: ScribbleKid,Dee and..you guessed it….Belinda Saxon

      • Belinda Saxon

I thought Average Joe, if I am one I am Moe. Always liked Moe

  • Brenda

Statemen are few and far between. No one enters politics without first considering whats in it for them. obama did not think of the nation when he ran for congress or the predisency. He only thought of being the president and the recognization he would gain. Romney coveted the presidency from the start, and was willing to buy the office. There is only a hair difference between them. But, of the two, obama is the one who will destroy the nation in his grasp for absolute power. I am not a supporter of Romney, but will vote for him.

  • Capitalist at Birth

What a bunch of starry eyed idiots on this site. Why must you insist on your idiotic vision of a President Paul when it will never happen. The man is off his rocker, as evidently, are many of you. If it weren’t for the fact of the many laughs I get from reading some of your sill posts, I would probably cancel my subscription. Good Day.

    • DaveH

I’m afraid, Crony Capitalist, that it is you who are off your rocker.

    • Nancy in Nebraska

Let’s see if you’re still laughing after the election! Go along! See where it gets you!

      • Belinda Saxon

If Obama wins, I will cry again. If Romney wins I will shout hurrah.

      • Joe H

If Odumberer wins again I cry, If romney wins I say “OH CRAP”!!!!! There is no win in this election!

      • Belinda Saxon

so you obviously are gonna have a bad day after the election, seems like a guarantee.

  • Wyatt

As all the candidates who would have been Good Presidential choices have A. Been eliminated by the money people , or B, had chosen not to jump in the race in the first place I fear that once again we must select a second best choice in Romney . All tghose who say that they will not vote for him had better get over it or be stuck with the Kenyan Fraud for one more term that will probably last for life .

The reality is the end of America as we know it and , all the so called political experts had best get used to it and stop crying and unite against what we all know was a bad , incompetent and stupid choice from the get go . If you want to see Barry the Kenyan in the White House again , go sulk and not vote . Trust me , as nice a fellow as Ron Paul may be , he is not the political panacea you all expect .

Yes he has many good ideas , but on the other side of the coin , he has many ideas that are so totally unrealistic as they border on senility . Isolationism ? Really ! Cut me a break . Yes that would be a wonderful thing to tell the rest of the world to go to hell and leave us alone . But realistically , that isn’t going to happen . The rest of the world is going to be massing and coming after us with all barrels loaded . And just as in WW1 , someone will conspire with someone else to draw America in to a war that they had wanted no parts of . The same thing was done by the same two individuals in WW2 !

If America is to survive as we know it , we ALL need to start looking at what we are doing . To not vote is a vote for the leftwing and that is exactly what they are hoping for . They will spin it to say that America is validating their dismantling of the constitution and installing their dictatorship . If Dr Ron Paul (and I still don’t know what he is a Dr of ) were serious he would still be in the race . Somehow , I get the feeling that he may have just been there anyway to break the others seeking the nomination and running as the spoiler to clear Romneys path . To have run as a Libertarian , he had to know he would have been eliminated long ago . His sudden shift to running as a Republican and so well out lasting other , more creditable candidates makes one wonder .

At any rate , when all is said and done , if as conservative freedom loving voters who love their country and the Constitution . You had better support the Candidate selected or get stuck with Obama . And we all know what that is and means !

    • nc

Wyattt, “the end of America as we know it”!!! How old and tired is that slogan?? Since the days of FDR that has been the chant of the Repugnuts against the election or re-election of any and every Democrat! HOW TRUE HAS IT BEEN? We are still the number one nation in the world with an economy showing inprovements every week from what the conservative Repugnts left us! SEE THE Charts- read the papers! SEE “bulls, bears, donkeys and elephants” for the comparison of the administrations!!
Go to Forbes.com @ “prosperity and the Presidents” for further conformation!
Come to grips with what America was really like under bush before noon on Jan.20. 2009 and our positon is not nearly so bleak UNLESS, OF COURSE, YOU HAVE THE MENTAL CONDITION OF DENIAL.

      • DaveH

NC is still promoting his biased “Bulls, Bears, Donkeys, and Elephants”.

The really telling statistic is look real closely at Carter, the president most people claim was the worst. The charts clearly show that he inherited a HUGE mess from Nixon/Ford and actually improved the situation. But to this day, people still blame him for the mess.

Obama inherited a worse mess than Carter did.

      • Joe H

BBJ says “and Obama inherited a bigger mess than Carter did” now THERES an over used slogan!!!! all you libbies keep saying that yet the debt keeps going higher n higher every day!! more spent under Odumberer than any president before him! What the hell you guys gonna say if China calls in our debt? At the rate Odumberer is going, we are going to spend our way into oblivion!!!

      • Belinda Saxon

        again bless you Joe.

      • BigBadJohn

JOE here ya some real numbers – I know you HATE FACTS!

        01/14/2000 5,719,849,572,269
01/12/2001 5,735,197,779,458 Bush inherits 153 Billion dollar deficit

        01/15/2008 9,194,165,780,462

        01/15/2009 10,627,708,753,691 Bush leaves a 1.4 trillion dollar deficit = a 1400% increase

        01/14/2011 14,007,943,536,871 Obama inherits a 1.4 trillion dollar deficit

Three and a half years and the United States is not as I have known it. We have got to try and get it back. We won’t as long as Obama is in there. You think if he is elected they will even have a budget. Havent yet. The Tax cuts are up again. All people can think is the rich get tax cuts. The earned income credit gets gone and the lower and middle income Americans. When the republicans were voted in during Clintsons administration he worked along with Newt and the republican congress to put our country on the right track. You think that will happen with Obama in a second term. If so, why?

      • Belinda Saxon

Numbers don’t impress me none. I am impressed by the unemployment numbers reported every that are always under reported.. And the jobs that are created I am not impressed with those numbers either. They are not impressive. And who creates these jobs, Obama?I know of some of those jobs he created, I was offered one. These include jobs with local businesses where you only work for three months. Then the job is gone. I have seen jobs being created and people going like a yoyo to find another job after the job created to look like a job ends after a few months. I have seen it time after time. I hope you didn’t get politicians. I answered surveys by them and I guess they didn’t like my answers. They never would answer the phone so I could get my answers included in their surveys.

      • BigBadJohn

        Belinda,
I always write both senator and my congressman with my opinion. My congressman is very much in tune with my opinion so I like him.
One senator is democrat and although I do not like the way she votes, she at least responds to my letters.
The other senator is a republican and out of the twenty or so letters I have written – he has NEVER EVEN RESPONDED. I guess republicans are just too good to listen to the people………

      • Belinda Saxon

I have always written to my senators and congressmen. I get newsletter from all mine. I have my democratic congressman on speed dial. He has helped me many times and I have talked to all of them in person. I have even gone to one of their offices. I used to write letters to my president for praise or concerns, but I am afraid to send anything to our President now for fear of reprisal.

      • Joe H

        BBJ,
Lok at the debt clock!!!! Almost seventeen TRILLION and counting!!! THERE’S SOME REAL NUMBERS FOR YOU!!!!

    • Dee

I agree, Wyatt. I too, will be throwing my support behind Romney because I know that what is happening to our nation now is not going to lead us to prosperity and freedom. We are slowly, day by day, being placed in bondage by a federal government and a POTUS that has an agenda unlike anything that was intended by the founders. Between his self-agrandizement and his actions taken to please the forces of “evil”, we are not being represented by ANYONE that holds dear, the Constitution of the United States nor its sovereignty. Honestly, I’m guarded about the whole election, but I refuse to stand back and do nothing. Cowardice is not part of my personal make-up. I appreciate reading the posts from everyone because their opinions count and perhaps we can all find a positive “common ground” to lift the nation up and bring her back to being the “light on the hill”.

    • http://www.mototcarsfinancial.com Brad

He is a medical Dr. OBGYN, a baby Dr. Has delivered 1000′s probaly in his practice of medicine.I like Dr Paul just fine and would vote for him if the candidate nominated to beat this fraud we have now. Heck I would vote for Donald Trump or Donald Duck if it meant gertting this a-hole out of there. I hater this man or fag whatever the hell he is. One thing I know for sure he is not an American and deffinately not a Christian. I despise him.

    • DaveH

Sorry, Wyatt, but you are as clueless as the Liberal followers.
The Leaders in both major parties are merely using the ignorant citizens as pawns to Grow their Power and Perks. The wars aren’t fought for our Freedom. They’re fought to enrich Crony Capitalists, who in turn support the re-election of their Crony Politicians.
The welfare state isn’t for the poor, who are just pawns, it’s for the Leaders who are growing their Power and Perks while pretending to care for the poor. How many poor people are invited to the big political bashs in DC?
The Democrat Leaders could care less about the poor, and the Republican Leaders could care less about our Freedom. They are just using our ignorance against us to Feather their own nests.

      • BigBadJohn

        Well said.

    • Nancy in Nebraska

Wyatt, you need to do some research! Where do you get this stuff? “senility”? “isolationist”? Oh yeah, from the main stream media!!! Do you still believe them?!? WAKE UP!!! They are controlled by the people who OWN them!!! Guess WHO OWNS them?!? They report what they are told to report!!! Nothing more! Take the blinders off and learn something on your own!

    • MNIce

Wyatt, you fear whom you do not know, and you do not know because you didn’t look. Dr. Ron Paul is an M. D. He served as a flight surgeon in the US Air Force, then after leaving the military, he specialized in obstetrics. You could have learned this with a few minutes at his campaign web site.

He claims he is not an isolationist; rather he wants to avoid military interventions unless not doing so would permit a clear and present danger to the United States. How this would have played out would have been interesting, but at this point it seems unlikely we will have a chance to see the results of a “non-interventionist” foreign policy.

    • Allen Crawford

Dear Wyatt: Every selling point was noble and very inaccurate. You have demonstrated every nuance of innuendo that the main stream (Fox News) media has fed you and your stereotypical bullet you stated is straight from their same script. Well said. You obviously
just scrolled down to this part and ignored all previous posts about the true positions Dr. (MD) Ron Paul stands on. I will not attempt to debate you further, as I do not have the time to undo the lies you have clearly stated about Dr Paul. I am therefore ashamed that there are so many people that are still misled as you are sir.

    • Belinda Saxon

Wyatt don’t listen to them. What you are saying is not media fed. And where do you get FOX is mainstream. It is a tell you like it is. Not Obama bought and paid for.media.

Wyatt. What you are saying is just straight common sense. You don’t have to watch a news station to know this,

      • Nancy in Nebraska

Not obummer bought and paid for? Nope but the second largest shareholder is a Saudi prince.
        http://bigthink.com/Resurgence/sharia-prince-owns-stake-in-fox-news-parent

Fox is also hiring soros funded activists these days.
        http://exposethemedia.com/2012/01/20/fox-news-hires-soros-funded-activist/

Perhaps you can’t trust everything they say. Fox news isn’t what Fox news was.
You should unplug from the media and do some research of your own. Your comments are trite and reek of main stream media!

      • Belinda Saxon

        “Actions speak louder than words”
You ever heard of it. Well I have. I don’t base my judgements on Fox News. I have watched the actions of Obama even before he was elected. I have researched him and heard him actually speaking the words defending partial birth abortion. You can do the same it is on public record. I have watched him and watched what he has done over the course of his presidential reign. I saw him wait on the oil spill and not allow those who were more experienced who volunteered not be allowed to work on the oil spills because they were not union members. I watched when the fires were burning in Texas and firefighters were grounded in California because they didn’t have a union contract.
I saw him fail to acknowledge the National Day of Prayer until this year when it benefited him and used it to benefit him, saying Jesus is for higher taxes. I also in those same years he avoided the day of prayer, he invited and participated in the Muslim time of prayer at the White House. I have sat and listened as he said his girls made him realize that he was for gay marriage. I When they provided money to bail out automakers, businesses that were doing very well were ones chosen to close down. In every instance those chosen were in areas that did not support the election of Obama. Really. I can’t even recall at this time all the things, all the actions that are there for everyone to see. All the actions that are there to say this man has got to go..I should have kept up and wrote down all those things. I would be able to publish a book right now.

Yes, it is time to get behind Romney. All this speculation that he can be bought off or is in someone’s hip pocket is not reflective of the Romney I know. He is a good man, he is coming to the aid of his country when we have no one else that is viable. Let’s help him, educate him, and then after he has served 8 years and saved the economy from collapse, look a good man like Rand Paul or the best man or woman we can find.

  • elwood

All of you and Ben sound just a bit disappointed. While I am at it, let me ask you Ron Paul lovers, what is the number one duty of the Federal government?

    Elwood

    • http://boblivingstonpl.wordpress.com Bob Livingston

      Dear elwood,

You write: “While I am at it, let me ask you Ron Paul lovers, what is the number one duty of the Federal government?” The duties of the Federal government are clearly enumerated in Article I, Section 8. Everything else is left to the States, and to the people. Unfortunately, progressives in Congress and in the courts have expanded government to encompass most everything it wants to do by abusing what the Founders intended. Most Americans are too ignorant to understand this.

      Best wishes,
      Bob

    • MNIce

To summarize the answer to this question, the Federal government should be primarily concerned with external affairs (foreign policy, regulation of trade with other nations, national defense). In foreign policy, however, the President and his State Department must always, always keep in mind they represent the free people of fifty states, not a political party, nor a group of favored corporations, nor even a monolithic national government. Otherwise, it is too easy to get mixed up in foreign adventures that only waste the substance of the citizens with no return of safeguarded liberties. (We’re still waiting for Mr. Obama to explain how US Special Forces roaming around Uganda preserves our freedom or otherwise serves our interests in the United States.)

  • http://Bud12 Ed

Romney will be elected president in spite of voter fraud by the Dems, and with a republican congress undo the damage of the past 12 years.

    • eddie47d

So you want Republicans back in control (8 of those years) for what purpose? So they can continue down their false path of leadership and bend the Constitution to serve their needs. They like to say I don’t get it but some of you are equally captivated by the Romney “messiah” .

      • Average Joe

Once again eddie, we can agree. Thank you !

      • Belinda Saxon

I don’t want Nancy Palosi in control again.,Shoving Obamcare down our throats. We have got to cut all that spending they love and get our house in order. Our nation will go bankrupt. We got to get a group with guts enough to have a budget for a change.

      • Joe H

Well eddie, I sure as hell don’t want another four years of Odumberer!! He has already proven he will take our freedoms away by extending the unpatriot act, trying to end run the constitution by getting klintoon to sign the small arms treaty, and a few others as well. right now he is blocking the reimportation of a few hundred thousand of the M1 carbine, “the weapon that won the war” which are legal to own by any citizen who is legally able to own a gun. Another four years?? HELL NO!!!

      • Belinda Saxon

        Bless you man.

      • Average Joe

        Joe H,
In eddie’s defense, I have heard eddie state on more than one occassion…that he supports Ron Paul…not Obama…not Willard. As I stated above…I can agree with eddie on this……because he has stated this in the past. As for Republicans being in control for another 8 years…I don’t want tha either…this isn’t a contest for the ‘partys” bragging rights…it is a contest to remain a Constitutional Republic…with a Rule of Law.
What matters is putting Statesmen in office…rather than Politicians…The Party…doesn’t mean a thing…it is the character of the person…not the “D” or the “R” that matters…since they all seem to be the same….politicians…..

Let us not seek the Republican answer or the Democratic answer, but the right answer. Let us not seek to fix the blame for the past. Let us accept our own responsibility for the future.
        John F. Kennedy

Mothers all want their sons to grow up to be president, but they don’t want them to become politicians in the process.

“Romney will be elected president in spite of voter fraud by the Dems, and with a republican congress undo the damage of the past 12 years.”

      WOW you truly are ignorant.

REPUBLICANS controlled BOTH houses for 12 years. 1994-2006 – look it up.
The damage was DONE BY REPUBLICANS. There was one year where the republican majority was lost for one year when a republican changed parties.
Democrats only controlled the house for four years 2006-2010.
Democrats controlled both houses for TWO years 2008-2010. Republicans regained power in the house from 2011 till the present.
      http://uspolitics.about.com/od/usgovernment/l/bl_party_division_2.htm

      • DaveH

Both Republicans and Democrats have been complicit in the destruction of our Freedom. The Leaders of both parties are simply doing what Leaders tend to do — Feather their own nests at the expense of the public.

    • MNIce

It’s so nice to meet a cheery optimist in the morning! For the rest of you oh, so gloomy types, has it occurred to you that if Mitt Romney is likely to be squished to the left, then it may also be possible he can be squished to the right? In other words, he may be alright as a President, but we will have to keep singing loudly in his right ear to do the right thing in order to counteract the little devils whispering “Go socialist” in his left ear. That means we ourselves will have to be courteous to him so he will listen to us (for at least as long as he is listening) as well as firm. That will be quite a change for those who enjoy reviling Mr. Deaf-in-the-right-ear Obama.

For starters, we would want Mr. Romney to concede that the greatest mistake of the G. W. Bush presidency was made in the very beginning, and we want him to learn from it. President Bush’s great mistake was signing the first budget and appropriations bills sent him by Congress. “A Republican Congress submitting a deficit budget, with scads of unconstitutional spending? Completely unacceptable!” If Mr. Bush had vetoed those with that message, then like a new teacher using the earliest opportunity to demonstrate that discipline will be maintained in the classroom, it would have set the proper tone for the rest of the term. Think hard, people! How do we get that message to him?

    • Joe H

      Mnice n Ed,

We’ve suffered through to many lessor of two evils running this country, for this there is no doubt! However in the war theater, our Cincinnatus, may no longer exist, given the amble scandals and corruption that has infiltrated our soldering and protective forces! Instead the American people can enforce, by law or by vote, limited service of our Senators and Congressmen. Let us chose those of common background, let us set the limits of the stage they can conduct their theater and let us determine their convictions mono to mono. We deserve much better than what we are getting, and we are getting for too much from those who have established themselves and their power base in a system that was intended to be a temporary service privilege, not a lifelong carrier!

  • http://www.cindynel.co.za peter

This whole build up to elections is a farce to keep the people arguing. The agenda has long ago been established and Obama has been a good little fellow in carrying out the prescribed orders, so why would they ( the NWO commanders ) be interested in chnaging the gut for someone they would now need to train and discipline? Romney hasn’t a chance at all and Obama it is for another four years. The hype around this election is designed to fool us all into believing that the result won’t be rigged. That is a joke and the joke is on us.
Sorry, but the bubble is about to burst. Get used to being enslaved, abandoned and possibly prosecuted, persecuted and hung out to dry as well. Maybe yet a person of honour will emerge and put these imposters all to the sword, which is exacly what they deserve.

    • Joe H

      peter,
Get used to it is right. I read where they were going to release all the names of anybody that signed the defense of marriage petition going around and then the supporters were going to go around and harrass the signers! I signed anyway, let them come!!

      • DaveH

This is where we go wrong. Government should not be involved in the Marriage Issue, period. They should not coerce ministers to marry homosexuals, and they should not deny that right to those who ministers who would. When we don’t respect the Freedom of other citizens, how can we expect them to respect ours?
We have been caught in this cycle of disrespect for far too long, and we can never hope to get our Freedom back as long as we fight with each other over issues that are strictly personal.

      • Kate8

This is exactly right, DaveH. Marriage has always been a religious sacrament. It was government which stepped in and hijacked marriage in order to lay claim to any issue (children).

It’s time we remove government from marriage. Even the church has bought into this…further evidence that the churches have sold out to government (ride on the back of the beast). If I were to ever marry again, or advise my children… I’d say, have a private ceremony with God and family as witness, and leave government out. No one needs the sanction of satan.

Marriage is a contract between a man, woman and God. Period.

    • Winddrinker

peter, I agree that this “election stuff” is just a “distraction” to keep Americans busy so they don’t notice what is being done behind our backs…

How many people are talking about the fact that many of our votes will be counted by the socialist country of Spain! It has been mentioned on this board, but it is rarely talked about and it wasn’t newsworth enough for MSM including Fox! The election IF IT is allowed with be a exercise in futility. The illegal foreigner is never giving up power over this Nation and will do anything. How many “dictators” have allowed themselves to be “voted-out!” Dream on, those of you that believe that you can just cast your votes and all will be solved!

The moocher aka thunderthighs spent Millions of Dollars on her vacation to Spain. Supposedly she firmed-up the deal for the electronic votes to be sent to Barcelona.
There will be no record of who voted for what candidate or how many times they voted.
Mickey Mouse’s vote will be just as valid and unquestionable as yours…

      • DaveH

We could stop the voting uncertainty immediately, if we wanted to, by utilizing database technology. But the public has bought into the Propaganda that electronic voting is dangerous to our Freedom. It is quite the opposite. With vote databases that are accessible to be read by the public, everybody could check to see how their votes were counted, if dead people were voting, if the vote tally was correct, and other things that currently most of us are in the dark about.
The Leaders aren’t going to promote such a thing, because it would be too robust, too tamper-proof. So, we the citizens need to stand up and demand such open accountability.

    • Nancy in Nebraska

I agree with you peter, except that they may well choose romney to throw us off and make us think that things will improve. romney wouldn’t need any training because like obummer, he wouldn’t even have to think. He can have a TelePrompTer to make sure he says what he’s supposed to say. As long as he can follow orders, nothing else will be required.

    • dusterdog

a vote for romney is a vote for obamie.whats the difference.its an illusion you are following.

      • http://personalliberty.com SGM

An Illusion? Are you really for more hope and change? Are you seriously buying all the propaganda the dumacrat machine is pumping out? If so, you have two choices…stay home, or go vote for Obama again. It makes no difference, the outcome will be the same.

    • Jody L

I will vote for Romney because of the economy. That is the difference. It buys time. But I have a question for you: Would you (any of you) vote for Ron Paul if circumstances were reversed and he were winning? What would your position be if you had to ‘hold your nose’ and vote for Paul while his supporters ‘counseled YOU’ on how you would be selfish and ignorant not to vote for him? It gets old kids, it really does.

      • Joe H

        Jody L,
you Dam straight I’d vote for Paul! Anybody that had truly LISTENED to what he had to say would. all you nay sayers that say he would allow other countries to defeat us are fools. he said he would allow congress to declare war as it is in the constitution, and then he would go in and kick their ass, get out and get it over with. No nation building, no rebuilding the country, no playing games with them! GET IT STRAIGHT!!!

      • DaveH

You really think, Jody, that you’d have to hold your nose to vote for Paul?
That just provides further evidence how far away this country’s citizens have gotten from Morality:
        http://mises.org/daily/4125

Ron Paul is by far the most decent, moral, intelligent candidate in the line-up. The others don’t even come close.

      • Nancy in Nebraska

Jody L, I would refuse to be swayed by anyone! I research, I read, I figure out who will be the right person. I refuse to go along with the crowd. That is what has gotten us to where we are now! I will be an informed voter and no one can talk me into voting for an evil person to sit at the head of this country! WAKE UP! THINK FOR YOURSELF! Don’t just do what they want you to do or what they expect you to do! Show them that you are dissatisfied with the status quo! Show them that you want REAL change! Get off the road to socialism!

      • Belinda Saxon

If Ron Paul were the republican candidate. I would vote for him.

    • MAP

SGM, with all due respect, you sound like a Republican shill. If there was an election and the candidates were Castro and Stalin, would you believe there was really an election? Experience and evidence leads me to believe that our entire two party system is a fraud, contrived by banksters and elite corporatists to give the illusion of choice. It is then played out like a football game playoff with everyone rooting and cheering for their team. But the spectators are always the losers because the outcome is already determined and the end result is always the same; the general direction never changes. Our rulers in Washington bomb countries the world over into democracy, but democracy does not actually exist at home. Therefore, the obvious question is: What are our ‘elected’ officials really spreading abroad? Only our bankster and corporatist elite know for certain. In complete ignorance, we finance their secret schemes in taxes. What we believe is reality is only a product of propaganda and brainwashing. We are far down the road that led to the Soviet Union.

      • Winddrinker

        Map, you got it right…

      • DaveH

Yes, it truly is amazing that so many here really believe our military is actually fighting for our Freedom, when the first thing they do to the citizens of occupied countries is to take away Their Freedom (not to dis most of the soldiers who also have been misled).
Those who believe the lie should read this:
        http://www.lewrockwell.com/rockwell/antiwar.html

      • http://personalliberty.com SGM

I have noticed that any time anyone starts a statement with “will all due respect” the conversation usually goes downhill from there. Map, I do respect your opinion, you are entitled to it. However I also believe if Obama gets 4 more years the 2012 election could very well be the last for our once great nation. Personally I’m not ready to just lay down and accept that and the only way to insure it doesn’t happen, at least with Obama – is to vote him out. I said I will never vote for a “dumacrat” and I mean that. That isn’t to say that I would not vote for a true Democrat (not a “progressive”), one that isn’t hell-bent on destroying the nation and one that respects the Constitution. Show me that person, man or woman and if he or she can convince me they truly have the best interest of our country and our citizens at heart, he or she will get my vote. Obama does not fill that ticket, at least not for me.

      • DaveH

        SGM,
I think we both agree that Obama desires nothing less than our subjugation. But where we differ is that you think Romney will change that, I don’t.

      • Nancy in Nebraska

I agree with Dave H. With romney, we will stay on the road that we’re on. We need to get off this road!!!

    • http://www.mototcarsfinancial.com Brad

I agree SGM, bunch of spoiled brats kicking their feet. Some are no better than what Odrama will do when he loses the election. I don’t think he will leave without Martal Law causing civil up rest and very possibly another bloody civil war. People we need to get rid of this idiot we have in the WH before many more good Americans are forced into government support rather than their families starving. 4 more years of this and there will be nothing left and no rights to visit blogs as this. You best think long and hard when you go to the poles. And those of you who think Romney is no different I feel you may be greatly supprised once he opens drilling and other oil projects such as Canadian sands and pipelines. He will be a complete 180 compared to the liar and traitor we have now. I also feel perception is a large factor in the cureent economy and once Romney is sworn in things could change over night by a huge nmargin.

      • Nancy in Nebraska

If you think that drilling and shipping oil across our country I going to make any difference, you are sadly mistaken. I have no doubt that romney will support big business but it isn’t going to help the average citizen at all! The rich will get richer and the poor will get poorer! The middle class will cease to exist. Our rights will cease to exist. We will all be forced to depend upon the government for EVERYTHING! We will be slaves!

Did you miss the memo? This is America…where we actually can vote for whom we choose…regardless of what anyone else tells us…..that is why we vote alone…with nobody else…influencing our personal vote…..We can actually ( I swear)..can even write in Rin Tin Tin if we so choose….wow….what a concept….being able to vote for anyone…or anything as our personal choice…….

Anyone who has a problem with my choices…..too bad…so sad…it’s your problem…not mine…as I am fine with my choices…but, it just plain sux…… to be you……(I can feel the frustration mounting and heads exploding all around me)….OMG…he’s voting his conscience ….THE END IS NIGH!…THE END IS NIGH!

      • Allen Crawford

Joe, I am in there with you! The NDAA and the Agenda21 and gun grabs did it for me. Obama is taking away our constitutional rights and personal liberty. Just about every one of those rights diminished by Obama will be kept in place with Romney, if he gets in and he has already stated that he would keep most of these policies Obama started and some! (like amnesty!! yecch!) I am voting my heart, I am voting to keep America Free and I am doing a write-in for Ron Paul! May God bless him and keep him safe. Ron Paul is the only hope this country has left.

It hasn’t mattered which party was in charge. No difference! We are losing our constitutional rights and liberties with BOTH parties! No difference! BOTH parties have contributed equally to the coming collapse of our economy! No difference! Our jobs and our ability to make a living are all going away. BOTH parties have done that! No difference! Now our government is making plans to kill us or imprison us! BOTH parties! No difference! The evidence is right in front of our faces!!! Faye, even when people who dont vote, they are actually voting by shifting the percentages for a win or a loss by reduciing the total pool of voters. . When you fail to act/vote …you are accepting the status quo. Example is it there are 4 potential votes to be shared by two candidates….one candidate can win a majority of 66% [2 votes out of 3 voters] when 2 voters support him. even with 50% of the potential vote.

Many a political party has been taken over by party strategists by encouraging the older non supporting delegates to retire early or to discourage good candidates they cant control diplomatically.

It happend in Australia and some parties do not open their membership to the public for fear of takeover by both conservatives and radicals posing as concervatives.. They keep the membership in-family of supporters so the candidates can guarantee their re-nomination before every election for safe seats… even conservatives cannot join their party…talking about The National Party in Australia formerley known as the Country Party., but I’m sure these tactics must be being used in your major political parties too? Could explain why we cant encourage honorable people into politics when they are faced by such underhand tactics to keep power for the cunning not the best.

I said it before and will say it again this 2012 election is boiling down to a vote for or against the current Occupant of the White House. So for me this election will not matter who I vote for because intend to vote for none of the above but other on my CA Ballot

  • http://N/A HapHarris

If Ben Crystal were counting the votes all by himself Mittens Romney couldn’t get elected. At the direction of the “SUPERFORCE,” BO was hand picked by Henry Kissinger to bring us into the “New World Order.” He was indoctrinated by the CIA [who faked all his credentials] and fraudulently elected by the Powers that Be. This year all the electronic votes will be counted by a company in [Spain] where George Soros holds a substantial financial interest. By Presidential Order and Congressional Subversion BO has given himself Dictatorial Power. If there is an election [and doubt there will be] BO is going to introduce you to a Police State that would make Joseph Stalin and Adolf Hitler green with envy, Today the American people are nothing more than “Slowly Boiling Frogs.”

    • eddie47d

There sure will be alot of apologists when elections aren’t cancelled. You’ll be lining up in droves.

      • Ted Crawford

I fear that might depend on two factors: 1) Polling in Aug., Sept., and Oct.! and 2) whether or not Congress extends Obamas Credit Card!

      • Kate8

eddie – There will sure be a lot of happy people if you are right.

I, for one, would get no pleasure in seeing you eat crow on this one.

      • JeffH

Kate8, :) ! FYI, I read an article regarding possible future Supreme Court nominees if Obama get’s the fraud…errr nod for a 2nd term. The question that was raised – Hillary and Holder?

      • Kate8

        JeffH – Please… I just had lunch.

OMG. I can’t think of anything more depressing.

The good news is, I just don’t think it’s gonna happen. Even if it does, it won’t last.

It’s really strange. Cancer and other invasive diseases always end up killling themselves along with their host. The elite disease now in control will be no different.

When the ship sinks, they don’t allow the rats in the lifeboats.

    • Winddrinker

HapHarris, we are on the same page…

Many people refuse to see what is obviously coming…they ignore it on purpose because to acknowledge the facts would mean that they would be compelled to act….when all they want to do it hope they get to cast a vote..

    • http://gillysrooms.blogspot.com GILLYSROOMS IN AUSTRALIA

HapHarris, How do you know all your allegations to be true? Please supply supporting evidence!!!

      • Kate8

Gilly – There is a great deal in the web regarding this. Who knows if it is all true…everyone needs to use their judgment.

We know there is SOMETHING afoot, and soon. The scuttlebutt is for this summer.

Anyway, here is just one, out today:

        http://beforeitsnews.com/story/2196/769/Obama_Activates_CIA_Hit_Teams_To_Kill_Americans_And_Blame_Iranians_Insider_Report_-_Bank_Collapse_Imminent.html

      • Kate8

BTW, Gilly. I don’t think Obama intends to lost the election. He’s got too much at stake.
Unless his masters have him removed…

In any case, what makes anyone think the elite won’t initiate another false flag, when it is their known modus operandi?

Our best defense, in this case, is INFORMATION. The more people who see these actions and events for what they are, the less successful they will be!

The PTW have done these things around the world over and over again! They have killed hundreds of millions, and intend to kill billions. What makes anyone think they won’t do them here? Their STATED intent is to bring the US into the NWO, and to drastically reduce the population.

Don’t believe them? Haven’t heard about it? Then you have been zzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Wake up! Smell the coffee! Get busy!

      • Belinda Saxon

And I guess he will get rid of his distractors by putting us on his Kill list. Watch out for drones. They will be coming after me.

      • Belinda Saxon

You are right about Obama not intending to lose election. By hook or crook he plans to win.

  • Michael J.

The decision has already been made by the worlds official, unofficial rulers for weeks or possibly months now. Their choice will be handed down from on high to the designated appointee in Chantilly. Get used to saying President Robamney and you’ll have all the bases covered.

    • Vigilannie

If you give up on America just that easy, then you’re a coward. VOTE RON PAUL 2012.

      • DaveH

        Michael is no coward.

      • Michael J.

        Vigilannie,
I like your moxie, and I realize from reading your other post that you are a fellow conservative. I wish you and yours well in navigating the difficulties that lie ahead, and above all, I hope you can remain vigil, Annie.

        Ron Paul 2012

    • Kate8

Michael J. – Personally, I see all of this scandal and division between the Right/Left as just fanning the flames of civil war and riots. The elite are using whatever opportunities they have to escalate the tension and fighting among Americans toward full-scale pandemonium.

Regardless of who wins the election, there are going to be irate factions which could likely rise up. People are very passionate about how they view the issues these days.

If Obama wins, most people will know the election was stolen. If Romney wins, many of the Left will be crying “FOUL”.

If Ron Paul wins…well. I don’t see how the elite will let that stand.

We’re in a no-win situation here… Unless, unless…enough of us begin to see through the smokescreen and GET IT. The eliter will try to play their remaining cards, but we’ll be zeroing in on their hands…

BTW, have you seen this? Take it for what it’s worth…

      http://beforeitsnews.com/story/2196/769/Obama_Activates_CIA_Hit_Teams_To_Kill_Americans_And_Blame_Iranians_Insider_Report_-_Bank_Collapse_Imminent.html

Obama could do away with the whole issue with a stroke of his (illegitimate) pen.

      • Nancy in Nebraska

Thanks for sharing, Kate. Everything I’ve read has led me to believe that the collapse would occur later. But I will take this under consideration and do some more reading.

      • Michael J.

        Kate8,
The run on banks and it’s domino effect are already in play. I could find nothing else about CIA hit squads aside from the link you posted. Though plausible, I hope it’s not true.

      • Michael J.

        Kate8,
The sqaubbling between the R’s and the D’s is designed to be devisive. Not by our founding fathers, but by the descendants of the money changers. Our task is the same as Jesus, overturn their tables and send them scurrying from their gold encrusted ivory towers. They have had two millenium to erect a deeply layered and massively fortified defense, but no fortress is inpenetrable when under seige by the righteous will of free people.

It seems clear, to me at least, that the GOP was determined to place Romney on the ballot from the very beginning. Forget the DNC, with its promise and display of suicide, fanatics, idiots, and death; the GOP is the conservative’s greatest enemy, because it pretends to befriend him while subtly stabbing him in the back. We have returned to choosing the ‘lesser of two evils’ – the exact position the GOP leads us every time.

    • http://mozilla Robert E. Lee

Republicans/Dumocrats are both big spenders;;; you are right on about that;; TEA PARTY IS CONSERVATISM IN FULL BLOOM.

    • Winddrinker

MAP, it is all a scam to keep up appearances that there are actuallly two political parties..demonrats and republican’ts! They are one in the same, with the same goals.
It should be perfectly clear by now as the republican’ts have passed everything bho puts in front of them. They feign being handicapped. In reality they couldn’t possibly be as inept and unproductive as they appear. They authored and passed the NDAA and sent it to the house…that being the straw that broke the camel’s back for me.

Republican’ts ushered the illegal foreigner into office without vetting (doing their job, they let Nancy do it)..while on the other hand the demonrats required McCain to produce his birth certificate. What a sham!

Conservatives have no representation in government, and are nothing but “subjects” to a foreign government in Washington (assisted by the Federal Reserve and the UN!)

      • DaveH

It all must sound so crazy to the brainwashed minions, but I think if they read this Free book, they may wake up a bit:
        http://mises.org/Books/historyofmoney.pdf

        https://mises.org/store/Product2.aspx?ProductId=172

      • Nancy in Nebraska

I agree! The two party system has been turned into a sham! “They” have infiltrated both parties. They don’t care who you vote for. Their agenda will go forward. They want you to think that you have a choice so that you won’t rebell. They choose the candidates and they choose the winner. But if you think that the people chose the winner you will think…”oh well, what can I do?”. We have another candidate, Ron Paul. But since they own all of the main stream media outlets, they have convinced the sheeple that he is a nut, that he would be terrible for America. Sheeple are idiots who believe whatever they’re told on the news. This country is at a crossroads. Many of us are starting to wake up. Now is the time to recognize that this is a choice between good and evil. You need to see this. “They” work for satan! “They” are winning! satan is winning! We have GOT to STOP it!!! Here is a video which will show you how easily they have gotten us to this place.
        http://www.alt-market.com/articles/775-the-evolution-of-the-democratic-plantation

      • Kate8

Nancy – I was going to say something like that, and you beat me to it. Thank you.

Romney is owned by the NWO. The NWO will not abandon their agenda, regardless of who gets elected. If they think Romney will be more popular than Obama, then they will work through him.

I have tried to point this out to my family, but they still buy into the Right/Left thing.

Neither Obama nor Romney have any personal power or will. Romney obfuscates the issues so as not to lose votes. I’ve seen him. They both do the will of the beast.

      • Belinda Saxon

you never heard of executive order. or stepping on the constitution and sending our troops out without permission of the congress.

      • Kate8

Yes, Belinda. And the presidents have all done it. Bush did it. Obama does it. Romney will do it (if we get that far). What makes you think Romney will not be the same as Bush? They are all part of the SAME CLUB.

Unless we have a president who will promote the restoration of our Constitutional Republic, Congress and SCOTUS will have no real power, just as have none now.

It is up to We the People to restore order. Government is not going to do it. Thus, we need someone who BELIEVES in upholding the Constitution. I do not believe that Romney does.

Every president of the past century has been a CFR member, except maybe JFK, and look what happened to him. Romney is CFR. And he’s pow-wowed with Bilderberg.

What more do we need to know?

      • DaveH

Two wise ladies — Nancy and Kate.

  • DaveH

Ben says — “I am left to ponder the increasing likelihood that I’m going to have to get used to saying President Romney”.
I beg to differ. As bad as Obama is, there is really no compelling reason to replace him with the establishment Republican Romney. If it’s a two-way race, my bet is that we’d better get used to 4 more years of the Obama. And if I’m wrong, Government will still Grow, but at a slower, less perceptible pace until we all spiral down the drain.

    • Harold Olsen

I agree. I think Obama will be reelected because there are just too many conservatives, myself included, who do not like Romney and won’t vote for him or Obama. Romney is just an Obama clone. So, that is our choice: vote for Obama or his clone. Whomever wins, things will continue as they are. Nothing will improve. Romney MIGHT make some minor variations on Obama’s policies, but nothing that will improve our economy and save our country. As far as Ron Paul is concerned, since he can’t be the GOP nominee, he will either run as an Independent or as the Libertarian candidate. I won’t vote for that nut job either.

      • former walmart person

Ron Paul a nut job? Because he won’t commit to neocon and neomarxist warmongering? People are slaughtered every day in their cars, but I have yet to see drones raining depleted uranium death through the car factories. People are slaughtered everyday by rising cancer rates (ask anyone living in the 50s how many cripled hairless cancer ridden kids were out there back then… The chemicals everywhere are murdering us), but again, I have yet to see drones raining depleted uranium death through the drug companies and GMO food processing centers.

Now you might say… but, but, but, I am willing to accept a higher chance of dying when I get behind the wheel so I can enjoy not taking everal hours to get my oxen driven cart to the local food market and back!!! • Kate8

Harold – Ron Paul…a nut job?

Why would you say that? Because he is the ONLY one who has consistently, throughout his long and honorable career as both a physician and Congressman, adhered to the Constitution and the rights of the people?

His own opionions aside, he understands that the Constitution allows for differing views while setting basic immovable parameters. He understands what the Law allows on the parts of the feds and the states, an he does not attempt to force his own personal opinions into the force of Law.

        That makes him a nutjob?

Sheesh. No wonder we are in such a mess.

      • Doris Carman

Actually I am replying to Kate 8. I am not calling R. Paul a nutjob. BUT he is also ineffectual. He has been in public life for 30 years and has not gotten any of his ideas passed. How could he hope to accomplish anything in 4 years?

      • Kate8

Doris – Yes, but not for lack of trying. He has never given up.

His ideas haven’t gotten passed because we have a majority in Congress who are TRAITORS, and they have continually blocked him at every turn.

What he HAS had is the support of the PEOPLE, apparent by fact that he has been repeatedly voted back in.

Ron Paul’s popularity among the folks has soared since people have begun waking up. Did you know that he is the most popular among the military?

BTW, Obama never did a thing in the Senate but vote “present”. And he came out of nowhere, and no one had any idea what he stood for. Well, some did, but not most.
But I digress. Just look at what he’s been able to do, and NOT IN THE INTEREST OF AMERICA.

At least we know who Ron Paul is, and that he put’s his loyalty to the Constitution FIRST.

That is a great deal more than we can say for anyone else.

      • Kate8

BTW, Doris…The tide has been turning since people have been awakening to Ron Paul:

        http://dprogram.net/2012/05/29/congress-votes-down-sen-durbins-anti-supplement-amendment-as-well-as-sen-pauls-freedom-of-health-speech-amendment/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+wordpress%2FBcwy+%28Deprogram%29&utm_content=Yahoo%21+Mail

This is a big deal. Ron Paul has consistently stood for our right to choose alternative/natural health care and products. He has NOT stood with BigPharma. Ever.

Check out the names of those who stood against us. These are people who are supposed to represent us. THEY DONT.

Also, be sure to scroll down and see how many defeated Rand Paul’s proposal, and WHO THEY ARE.

People are now NAMING NAMES. It’s about time. They ALL need to go.

      • DaveH

Could it be, Doris, that he was ineffectual because brainwashed voters keep voting representatives into office whose main goal is their own welfare and that of their Crony Capitalists? Could it be that those voters are digging their own graves because they won’t take the time to learn some reality?

      • DaveH

And why would any Congressmen want to meddle with the supplement industry when there are virtually no proven deaths from supplements? The answer is obvious — politically connected Pharmaceutical companies and other Medical Cabals who stand to lose big money as an increasing number of people learn to take care of themselves.

      • http://gravatar.com/hattles JeffH

Kate8 and DaveH both get two thumbs up! :)

      • Belinda Saxon

If that is so you need to try to get them to change their minds. Check out what Obama is actually doing. How could anyone compare him to Romney is an acceptable alternative..

      • Debra Myers

Think you’d better take another look at Romney. Romney has already built his foreign policy – same as Bushs’! Just what we need another Dick Cheney buddy who wants to be our next war criminal! But of course that means losing alot more brave young men & women again also. Our active military have spoken on who they want as our next Commander in Chief and it ain’t Romney or Obama. Romney DOES NOT have the delegates to be named the Republican nominee, yet the MSM lies and says he is, the GOP lie and say he is, Obama lies and says he is – AND NOW THIS GREAT GUY ROMNEY comes along and lies right along with all the things wrong with this country. WTH people??? Romney is for big government, with ideals that stray too far from the constitution – no difference between him and Obama. Ron Paul or none for me

      • Belinda Saxon

It is already in the works, when Obama is elected, he will be sending pink slips to our servicemen. Getting rid of defensive weapons and our servicemen our nation will become defenseless against a larger enemy. We will be ripe for a takeover.

Former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld tells Newsmax TV that the course pursued by President Obama — diplomacy and economic sanctions — has a “close to zero” chance of ending Iran’s nuclear weapons ambitions. In an exclusive interview, he also predicts that Israel may have “no other choice” but to attack the Islamic Republic’s nuclear facilities, and lays out options for the U.S. in Syria’s bloody conflict.

      • Belinda Saxon

He does have the delegates now.

      • Patriot

Then you sir are part of the problem, Romney is not the perfect candidate and I would like someone better as well. A non-vote is a vote for Obama and I hope that you do not hate this country, for our future’s sake Romney is much better then an un-checked Obama! Please reconsider you & your children’s future with that non-Vote!

      • Debra Myers

Then it is YOU that is the REAL problem. Someone said “pretty soon we’ll have to choose between Hitler & Stalin” That is what WE are allowing to happen. If Romney is the GOP nominee – and loses – it is nobodies fault but Romneys. I’m tired of that lame ass, puppet remark. I am NOT voting Obama nor Romney. Neither of them deserve my vote – maybe yours isn’t worth much.

      • Belinda Saxon

Patriot. Amen to that. That is what I am saying.

      • Mimi

        Mr. Olsen,

Your argument is fallacious at best. Clearly you are a liberal Democrat. Why not just say so? Whatever anyone says about Mr. Romney, he can only be an improvement on Obama. Lemurs would be better than Obama. At least looking at Mitt Romney’s character, he is a decent, ethical man. Politics is a filthy ‘game’, and Democrats are experts at the dirtiest of mud slinging. Obama is an amateur on one hand, but he’s a devious, ideologically far left politician who is bringing about our downfall. Though it started a long time ago, he has put the last nails in our coffin. His character is petty, mean and empty. In addition he’s a cold partisan person, who cares nothing for compromise, as do his colleagues . In addition you’d be hard pressed to find a more arrogant, narcissistic man than he. If that’s who you prefer to Romney, it’s your money, and your life.

      • Average Joe

“He does have the delegates now.”

You do realize that none of the delegates are given…until the convention…right?
You also realize that under Rule 38…that none of those delegates are bound to any candidate…right?
You also realize that Ron Paul has amassed a sizable amount of those delegates…right?

…oh wait…the MSM didn’t tell you?…Maybe you should have watched some of those links that I and others have posted……you may have actually learned how the process really works…but , hey…don’t let things like the facts and reality…. get in the way of your delusions…..

I never learned from a man that agreed with me.

      • Mark

I can accept you don’t care for Ron Paul, but I am curious as to what part of the constitution is it that you you don’t like exactly?

      • Bill

Look, I don’t’ appreciate you calling anyone a nut job. Ron Paul, this living patriot, has stayed out of your wallet more than you will ever know by not voting for any tax increase on the US citizens, including you. Now if you want to hand over your money to the state or federal government go right ahead. But be assured that I will not accept one cent of anyone else’s money unless I have a contract with them to exchange their money for my labor. I think if you had any morality you would not accept any money that has been forcibly taken from someone else. The days of Robinhood are over. Don,t you realize that the young guys dying on foreign soil are not dying for their country? They are dying for the politicians who are too chicken to go to their enemy and fight them on a personal basic. These people in foreign countries are not my enemy. They have not taken anything of mine. I have no quarrel with these people. it is the government quacks, nut jobs you call them, who have stolen half of the wealth of the citizens of America and have used most of that money to wage wars on foreign soils and if you think it is for “democracy” you have been sleeping under the stone age. What have you gained from the loss of your brothers life?

Agreed. All the nonvoters need to use their vote. Vote Ron Paul. THAT will send a message no matter who wins. Then when Obama or Obama spelled with an R wins and we STILL continue on the path of destruction you will know that YOU chose to not be a sheep voting for the lessor of 2 evils only to discover that evil is well………….EVIL.

      • Alan

Harold you are right. There is no difference between the two. Voting for the lesser of 2 evils is still voting for evil! I am writing in Jesus Christ – the only hope we have!

What planet are you two from? Certainly not this one. If you can’t see any difference. Listen to Huckabee, even former President Clinton. The last three and half years with Obama should be enough for you to know you do not what him voted in for anything in the whole wide world. That is unless you are a pro Obama plant.

      • Belinda Saxon

Yes and when Jesus Christ runs for election, I will be voting for him, but not until then.

are you serious;; you have not been paying attention or else you would like to live in Venezuela or Cuuba [I will pay your way]; this 2012 is a choice of the great concept of CAPITALISM or the failed choice of communism;; where do you stand??????????

      • eddie47d

Communism failed because they became bullies over the human spirit and tried to make everyone feel equal. In reality few benefited and their hierarchy became all controlling. Sure Capitalism is better yet they also have their hierarchy and are now all controlling. They joined forces with the NWO and have done much to crush that same human spirit. Capitalists represent money and power but only for a select few. They have become financial bullies and Elite gangsters who don’t really give a damn about you me or the rest of the world. We may have to begrudgingly accept Capitalism over the sinister nature of Communism but that “great concept” of Capitalism is also a false pie in the sky.

      • nc

Robert, does Romney bring us any better chance of the geat concept of Capitalism than that PROMISED by bush that served us NOT so well?? bush did all the right things for Capitalism! He cut taxes, he created a war time economy, and he paid little attention to regulating business conduct, the good and the bad! AND HE PUT ALL OF THIS TOGETHER AND CLEVERLY PRODUCED THE SECOND WORST ECONOMY IN OUR HISTORY! Which of those things has Romney not promised except the wars! BUT neither of the bushes PROMISED us the wars they lead us into!!

In the last two years under Obama growth is up, unemployment is down, corporate profits are up, retail sales are up and home prices are up, one war over and OSAMA is dead! COMPARE THIS TO THE LAST TWO YEARS OF OUR LAST REPUBLICANS PRESIDENT!
I’ll bet you the 69 milliom plus who voted for Obama in 2008 will think this over before they vote for bush-lite Romney!

      • http://gravatar.com/dawgbisquit1 Tom W.

I agree Robert, I just don’t think Romney fits my vision of that great concept! Mitt represents UNBRIDLED capitalism, the kind that sends our labor jobs overseas in exchange for bigger profits for stockholders!!! The first thing that Mitt did at Staples was to replace made in the USofA and other free democratic allies with less expensive products made with more or less slave labor in China!!! He’s nothing more than a Wall St. PUPPET!

      • DaveH

Obviously, Robert, you haven’t been paying attention. It is you and your fellow blindered sheeple who have been allowing the takeover by the Progressives over the last 100 years. Voting for the lesser of two evils, thinking that it will somehow result in goodness is Naive to say the least.
Read this and remove your head from that dark place:
        http://mises.org/daily/1259

Obama has certainly been impatiently clumsy in his attempted takeover of our lives and Freedom, but Romney basically wants the same thing — domination of us by him and his fellow Leaders, and I think he will be smarter in implementing it, but slower, in a less attention-getting way than Obama has done it.

      • DaveH

And Tom, you couldn’t be more wrong. Romney is for very controlled Crony Capitalism, not Real Capitalism. With Real Capitalism we would be two or three times more prosperous than we are now. We haven’t had anything close to Real Capitalism since Teddy Roosevelt plunged Big Government into our lives and trade:

      • MAP

Eddie47, after what you wrote, I’m ashamed I ever called you a communist. The problem with communism is the problem with the Left in general. It doesn’t base its reasonings on real life or human nature. An example would be, ‘all men are created equal’, a statement so absurd only a fool would entertain belief in it. They ignore all the things the Bible declares as sins: vanity, pride, envy, greed, avarice, the will to power, etc., etc., and etc. Since none of their reasonings are based on human nature and failings, none work in reality. Hence, a totalitarian state must maintain things in an unnatural order. Capitalism works because it is based on human nature. As a system it grew up out of the soil of human experience. It was not dreamed up and put in place by force. It appeals to human aspirations. It does not destroy the incentives to work and excel. The problem in this country is that capitalism does not exist. The money interests have seized control of the central government and the two work in unison. Instead of capitalism, we have fascism. This began around 1830 when massive immigration into the north as cheap exploitable labor gave the industrialist ever increasing dominance in the House. The Tariff of Abominations served to strip the wealth of other parts of the country to the profit of one special interest. Since the same interests owned and operated the northern press, they began a hate campaign against any other interest, sections, or party in the country that attempted to block their growing hegemony. This was the real reason the South seceded. Lincoln, as a former corporate lawyer, made it quite clear who he represented. After the execution of the homicidal psychopath, John Brown, it was discovered he had been on the payroll of the richest industrialists of the north. Their domination was complete after 1865. They ran the government and the government worked for them. Wilson put another nail in our coffin with the creation of the Fed. Anyone that uses the state of our country to denigrate capitalism is either ignorant or purposely dishonest.

      • Kate8

        MAP – Excellent summation.

What we have today is not capitalism, but corporatism. For eddie, THAT is the flip-side of communism. Corporatism is NOT capitalism, where anyone can work hard and succeed. It is dominance by the wealthy few.

Government will always seek to dominate, and the ruling elite do not care whether their power comes through communism or corporatism. All they care about is that they possess absolute power. They have kept the people of America comfortable enough so that they haven’t noticed them spinning their web (control grid), and now that it is pretty much in place, they’ve pulled the rug out.

eddie is part of the Leftist mercenary blogging brigade, so he is paid to support the rats in power. This is how tyranny is always imposed… through mercenaries. Too many people will sell out their own mothers for a paycheck.

For example, I have a friend who has worked for this state’s biggest power company for many years. Gets paid well. So when I started alerting him to Agenda 21, and what it really is, he found that he just cannot look at it, because it means having to make a choice about his livelihood. So he continues to close his eyes to the truth and support, by default, the promotion of this devastating, freedom crushing, death wielding agenda, forcing his fellow countrymen into servitude and poverty.

And so it is. Every man for himself. And the nation falls.

The ironic thing is, when those who have betrayed their countrymen are no longer needed, they are cut loose, too. No one trusts a sell out.

I guess that includes the vast majority of politicians, too.

      • DaveH

As usual Eddie opens his mouth and proves himself a fool.
We haven’t had anything close to Capitalism for over a hundred years. We have been moving ever closer to full-blown Socialism since the Progressive Teddy Roosevelt was in office. With Capitalism, the Government’s only roles are protection of property rights and litigation against fraudulent operators.

Capitalism is not a false pie. Capitalism is the ONLY economic system that works. ALL of the supposed failures you attribute to capitalism are only possible with the force of government and CRONYS.

To watch capitalism work you need only to watch how a truly free market works. There are current examples. Virtual Reality games. Second Life, World of Warcraft etc. People going about their business just having fun and some offering up products or services to other players.

Governments ONLY job in a free market is to keep each transaction honest.

    • BigBadJohn

WOW I actually agree with you this time.
However, I still plan on writing in Ron Paul, the only candidate that even talks about personal liberties. Which IMO is the important issue.

      • James Andrews

I”m thinking of writing in Paul too-I don’t like Romney, and Obama is terrible, and extremely dangerous for our Bill of Rights!

        Tom W,

If you repeat that enough, you may begin to believe it….the rest of us aren’t buying your load of fertilizer today..or any day for that matter.
A vote for Ron Paul…is a vote for Ron Paul….and is therefore…a vote against Romney…and a vote against Obama…simple logic ( I would think that using such simple rhetoric such as you’ve used…it would be obvious to you…aparrently not…)…something that you seem to be…sadly, lacking in…….

      • DaveH

A write-in for Paul is a write-in for a Principled stand. You should try that, Tom.

      • Kate8

Tom W. – That is just another media mantra that has worked quite well to manipulate the voting decisions we make.

Ron Paul has been gaining support across the board. I know some liberals who intend to vote for him. If all of us who want real change…back to common sense and Constitutional governance…voted our conscience, Paul would win.

People are more awake now. We see the machinations of the PTW (powers that were), especially media, and we don’t want to take it anymore!

You claim to be a Christian. Yet, to vote for a lesser evil is still a vote for evil, and will bear fruit accordingly.

Yeshua taught that we should NEVER compromise with evil. We will always lose.

      • BigBadJohn

“Ron Paul has been gaining support across the board. I know some liberals who intend to vote for him. If all of us who want real change…back to common sense and Constitutional governance…voted our conscience, Paul would win.”

        Well said Kate!

The way I look at it, taking a principled stand – even if it works out as a protest vote – may actually change things further down the road! It certainly would send a message to Washington if the numbers were high enough!

better against McCain? Ron Paul is up against a serious blitz of disinformation and he is not a desirable in the eyes of the NWO, bilderbergers, Agenda 21, NEOCONS, and the whole corporate owned media establishment. With all those odds against him, I support him because of his stance to restore personal liberty and he has my vote of confidence and a write-in from me and my family. I awakened a whole plethora of folks near me and maybe you should do some research and do the same in your neighborhood. Your vote for or against is up to you but do not discount the number of people who are awake and the number who awakens every day..Remember it is YOUR choice and that is what matters to you and no one else.

If we get enough conservatives to vote for Ron Paul, and you count the democrats and independent voters who will vote for him…it just might work.

It will take guts on the part of conservatives. It will mean sucking it up and acting on faith.

      • Belinda Saxon

He is not a candidate and he won’t win. He will take away votes from Romney. He could be the reason we have another four years of Obama. You can waste your vote if you want. That is your right. But is that really what you want to do. Get Obama reelected.

      • Belinda Saxon

Obama or Romney that is the choice. I choose Romney all the way. l00 percent. No reservations.
If you can’t see what Obama has done to our nation, you must be watching MSNBC every day 24 seven. Any half thinking person can see that Romney is the better man. All these non votes and write ins are the ones putting Obama back in office, because that is just a vote that has been thrown away.
I am made to wonder if this site that is supposed to be for Ron Paul is nothing more than another engine to reelect Obama.
Obama is so transparent. He has been transparent from the beginning for me. He is egotistical and everything is about him. The one national day of prayer he attended, he campaigned. Memorial day speech he campaigned. What about the oil spill? What did he do? Nothing good. You want another four years of no budget. Another four years of partisanship and fully implementing the Obama care nightmare that will be implemented against Americans. Total loss of privacy and freedoms totally gone. Religious freedoms destroyed. and then there is the economy.
      Know nothing…do nothing..but wrong Obama.

Don’t lose sight of the fact that Romney answers to, and is funded by, the same thugs as Obama. He HAS BILDERBERG APPROVAL. He is nothing but another puppet with the same hand up his…

If Ron Paul loses it will be because too many people, once again, allowed the same crony powers to tell them how to vote. It is a vote for the status quo.

Romney has a history of dirty dealings. That shows his character. What makes you think he’ll improve once in office? He supports Obamacare, for God’s sake. I don’t care what he says.

I recently read something out of the NWO playbook, that tells political candidates to say whatever, promise whatever (even if obviously undeliverable) to get elected. Is this not just too obvious? Obama called it: CAMPAIGN RHETORIC. He said, “It’s JUST campaign rhetoric”! As if lying is just part of the program! And we know it is.

Please remember: An (apparant) lesser evil is still evil, and will produce evil results.

They both a getting campaign funds from the same people, their policies are the same (with minute differences)…but, the outcome of electing either one will be the same…the final destruction of America and it’s Constitutionally, Republican form of government.
If you are truly happy with the Status quo, business as usual…”party approved” candidates…by all means…vote for Romney or Obama (it doesn’t matter which one…you’ll get the same puppet…with different clothes.

If on the other hand, you are tired of the direction America is heading, you probably need to vote for Ron Paul….

If Obama gets in you know there will be four years more of hell for the United States. There is some hope for a change for the better for Americans with Romney. With Obama there is no hope only guarantee of a change for the worse.

      • Belinda Saxon

If the republican party is so bad, why did Ron Paul run as a republican?

      • Belinda Saxon

I am not worried about the party as you say. If I can’t say how I feel as you claim I am doing, why are you talking? I have voted for a democrat when they were the best candidate.

I am not working for a party, I am wanting for America the best candidate. As I have said Ron Paul ran as a republican. You got something against him.

If votes are through away and Obama is elected because of it, you will get what you desire.

      • Ted Crawford

Sadly, Belinda, it isn’t ignorance of the destructiveness of Obamas governance that we are dealing with here, would that it were! Ignorance is easily solved with information. They clearly possess that knowledge.
The problem here is their candidate didn’t win. They, therefore have decieded to act in a manner reminiscent, to me, of a naive, petulant child, laying on the floor and banging their heads and kicking their feet while screaming ” I want it my way “.
They have chosen to ignore the fact that to let perfect, in their opinions, become the enemy of good, simply guarantees not only the defeat of perfect, but also good. That leaves only the same problem in place.
In this case, with little too lose, I fear not just the same, but rather worst!

care to elaborate About the differences between Obama and Romney? Besides black and white. Please dont tell me that romney has experience in the private market and because of that hes going to fix the economy as that is only a myth as that is not the role of government but only to get out of the way.

      • Belinda Saxon

I hope you are not implying that the only difference between Obama and Romney is the color of their skin. If Obama was white, purple, or green. I don’t like him as a President. As far as I am concerned he has not been a president. He is a community organizer in training to be a President want a be. He has not really done anything. The only thing he did accomplish is having Osama Bin Landen killed. He just gave the go ahead. He hasn’t made a budget. He has not been bipartisan as he said. He has not been transparent as he said he would. Anytime something important came up he would go off on a trip and come back and say hurry up and get this done if you have to stay all night. He is a procrastinator extraordinaire. He and his family have been traveling the world seeing the sites all on the American dollar.

“The problem here is their candidate didn’t win.’

Really?…Your proof of that? Ted, you have yet to make an intelligent or informed statement since you’ve arrived at PLD.
Your opinion and $5 will get you a cup of coffee in some places…this isn’t one of those places.

Seems to me that Ron Paul is ammassing quite a few delgates in the caucus process…and that Romney is not doing as well as the MSM would have you believe.

Curious that such a large portion of you supporters of Dr. Paul find it necessary to resort to a policy of attempted intimidation, not working by the way, demeaning comments and namecalling, “sheeple” ( how mature), in answer to any criticism of your chosen candidate!
Most of us have long been aware that Dr. Pauls supporters would be a disruptive influence at the Convention, drawing out the process and accomplishing little else, save providing aid and comfort to Obama and the progressives. That might explain why Russia Today, Watching America and Huffington Post continues to encourage the movement!

You ignore any postings we make to validate our assertions…yet you come here…spout off with your opinion ( we all know about those)…and absolutely nothing to support your opinion…other than more of your own opinion.
We realize that some of you folks are legends in your own minds and that you have all of the answers to fix the world..it’s a shame that you don’t have a grasp on reality.

You say I, ” obsfucate “? Shucks I can’t even spell that, I don’t know how I could do it! If you say so OK. As to my being ” offended ” or feeling ” Hurt Pride “, you assume facts not in evidence Sir. Your oponion of me does not define me, it may however go a long way in defining you. That is anothe rmatter.
You gave me a very difficult task there AJ, ” fill us in on Romneys virtues “. Romney wasn’t my first choice, in fact he wasn’t even on my short list. The one that comes readily too mind is his ability to work with the other view-point. I know, I know ” RINO “! Another over simplifing and useless label. I am aware that it’s a virtue that can readily become a devastating vice.
I’m also aware that, in my oponion, every major, successful historical document, from the Magna Carta in 1215, thru the Constitution in 1788, and beyond, has been a compromise!
It also seems to me that the greater the bi-partisan participation, the more successful the out come. Examples: Our Constitution, the founding and sustaining document of what I believe to be one of the greatest countries in history vs The Treaty of Versailles, considered a prime factor in the bringing about of WWII.
Our history, from the Articals of Confederation thru the Constitution, seem to prove two things; First that compromise doesn’t just work, it’s necessary for a healthy society. Secondly that although beliefs differ and can be charged with passion, read the Founders personal correspondences and contemporary newspaper articles and publications, if we can focus on an over-all goal, such as preserving our way of life, compromise works very, very well!

    • Jessy

      Dave H,
You seem pretty smart. In the history of the world has there ever been a government that hasn’t grown as the population of the country increases?

      • Belinda Saxon

So you are throwing your vote away. Ron Paul had some good ideas, but he did not win. I liked many of his ideas, but his foreign policy is wack. I also do not like that he threw Israel under the bus. But as a matter of fact so has Obama. Our only hope and change from Obama is to Romney. A vote for Ron Paul is a vote for Obama.

      • http://boblivingstonpl.wordpress.com Bob Livingston

        Dear Belinda Saxon,

You write: “So you are throwing your vote away.” Casting a principled vote is never throwing it away. “Let each citizen remember at the moment he is offering his vote that he is not making a present or a compliment to please an individual — or at least that he ought not so to do; but that he is executing one of the most solemn trusts in human society for which he is accountable to God and his country.”–Samuel Adams

You write: “I liked many of his ideas, but his foreign policy is wack.” Please describe for me Dr. Paul’s foreign policy.

You write: “I also do not like that he threw Israel under the bus.” Please describe for me how “he threw Israel under the bus.”

You write: “Our only hope and change from Obama is to Romney.” The only change will be which set of crony capitalists get the choicest seats at the table.

You write: “A vote for Ron Paul is a vote for Obama.” This is a fallacious statement that demonstrates you have become an indoctrinated member of the sheeple class.

        Best wishes,
        Bob

P.S. The media are telling you that Mitt Romney has accumulated enough delegates to become the GOP nominee. The media are lying to you.

      • Average Joe

        Jessy,
        The answer is obviously no.
The next question s…How many of those nations…still exist?

Although this quote has been attributed to Alexander Fraser Tytler, the actual origins of the quote are unknown and appears to be two separate quotes sewn together…but they pretty much sum up history:

A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations from the beginning of history has been about 200 years. During those 200 years, these nations always progressed through the following sequence:

        From bondage to spiritual faith;
        From spiritual faith to great courage;
        From courage to liberty;
        From liberty to abundance;
        From abundance to complacency;
        From complacency to apathy;
        From apathy to dependence;
        From dependence back into bondage.

      • Average Joe

        Belinda Saxon,

Why are you so worried about what everyone else is doing? How about this…you vote your conscience and everyone else…will do the same?…Does that work? Your values (or lack of) are not the same as ours (apparently)…You are free to waste your vote on anyone you choose…including Romney and Obama. You seemed to be more worried about “The Party” than you are about your Nation…how sad it must be…to be you….

If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom — go from us in peace. We ask not your counsel or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands that feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were even our countrymen!
        Samuel Adams

It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people’s minds.
        Samuel Adams

I am voting for Ron Paul and I approved this message.

      • Belinda Saxon

I am not into the wealth. I don’t have any. I am into liberty. I see our liberties eroding every day at the hands of your Obama. I want him gone before it is too late for America. He has spat on the constitution and our rights. He wants to do away for rights to bear arms, religious rights, and rights of speech when it comes to Christians or those who would speak against him. Probably other rights I can think of right now.

      • Kate8

Belinda Saxon – You think Ron Paul “did not win”?

That is because he was marginalized and sqeezed out, even in the places where he got the majority of primary votes.

THEY DO NOT WANT TO ALLOW HIM TO WIN.

Are we going to allow this type of thuggery? Will we allow our will, our votes, to be stolen by those who fear him? Those who subvert the will of the people all the time, through fraud and intimidation?

If Ron Paul is willing to stand up to their threats (and they play HARDBALL…just look at what happens to people like Breitbart), then should WE not support him?

If we allow the media and the PTW to beat us down…AGAIN… then we deserve what we get: another of their puppets.

I say NO. It’s time we get some gumption and a few backbones, and MAKE IT HAPPEN.

Stop being afraid and take a leap. If enough of us do that, we’ll WIN. But we must stop acting out of fear.

Remember the people who fled out of fear of the war? And went to Guam?

Always take action TOWARD something. Not running away from something.

      • Belinda Saxon

Hopefully Ron Pauls good ideas will be used in the republican platform. In that way, he did win. However, reality is he did not win the nomination.

      • Belinda Saxon

However; iif Obama wins, Ron Paul’s good ideas will not be implemented, and all of us lose.

I cannot agree with you on this.I think the republicans should all follow Romney and help him win.He is not like Obama. No one liked Bush but Obama followed most of his policies right up until now.If you should force a third party ticket Obama will win for sure. To me that would be treasonous.Against our country.God have mercy if you designate Ron Paul or anyone else as third party.

      • Belinda Saxon

I hope that Ron Paul is not so vain and cares about the United States of America enough not to run. If he really cared about us, he would urge his followers to put their full support behind Romney.

      • http://boblivingstonpl.wordpress.com Bob Livingston

        Dear Belinda Saxon,

You write: “If he really cared about us, he would urge his followers to put their full support behind Romney.” This comment denotes you possess a grave misunderstanding of Ron Paul supporters. It will not happen.

        Well said, Bob.

Heck. We’re already on Obama’s list. What do we have to lose?

“Freedom’s just another word for…nothin’ left to lose…”

      • Belinda Saxon

Yes we need to work together to get Romney in office. Did you see Obama’s promises for his next four years, spending, spending, more spending, and guess what a lot of spending on solar, air and such, we dumped millions in before. He is going to spend money building schools. and roads. Amnesty for all illegal aliens. I guess that is for a certain vote. illegals.

With as much money as was spent before to make a bridge for turtles to cross. I wonder who tells the turtles where to cross. The money for the shovel ready projects , I say there should not be a pothole in the United States. I call a certain road I have to travel a Holy road.

Belinda – (sigh). I see that you are not listening.

It seems that we cannot count on you to vote for freedom, then. Do what you must.

There is a groundswell movement for real change. There are millions who are no longer willing to play strictly by the rules of the elite. A vote for Ron Paul would be much better spent, as none of us are backing down.

It is people like you, dear, who are going to be the hindrance. But then, so be it.

      • Belinda Saxon

I will vote for freedom every time. Yall are living in a dream world if you think Ron Paul is going to be elected this time.

      • Wolfowicz Pearle

Doris you are wrong! I liked bush both runs…big mistake! I disliked Romney both times around and I supported McCain…another one! Romney is less desirable than McCain
and way less desirable than Ron Paul. You only know the Fox news painted picture of him as most of these deniers are portraying him. Treason does not follow a member of a third party. Perot nearly pulled it off and he wasn’t really sincere.
Point 1: Ron Paul is still a republican and he is still in the race.
point 2: Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate that has a plan to restore this nation back to liberty not Romney, Not Obama. Please research and please think realistically about where this country is headed because we relied on false news info.

      • Kate8

Belinda – A vote for Romney is NOT a vote for freedom.

Romney works for the NWO banking cabal. He does THEIR bidding, as do the vast majority of politicians, not just in America, but across the globe.

You know, I’ve often shaken my head at the way the democrats think, “the Party, right or wrong”. That is a very communist way of thinking!

I was a Republican for many years, but I will NOT support the party any longer. They’ve sold out, they’ve become progressive, and they’ve joined the NWO. That is just fact.

World government is NOT about freedom. It IS about slavery. You think Romney will save you from that? He doesn’t have a single opinion of his own. He says what he’s told to say. Just like Obama.

We should owe our loyalties to what is good and right, not to a party. If the American people all agreed on one thing…FREEDOM… we’d beat this progressive cancer.

You are still buying into the deception. Before we can break out of this prison government, we must see it for what it is. The two parties are a lie. It was planned all along that the elite would control BOTH parties, so whichever party is in “power”, they still win. That is the truth.

BTW, Ron Paul runs on the Republican ticket because third parties are not taken seriously. The establishment won’t take him seriously, anyway, but the people do.

      • Average Joe

        Belinda Saxon,

It sounds to me like your two grandchildren …have an Autisic grandmother.
Basically what you are doing is…. making excuses. It isn’t that you don’t have time to look at differing views…it is that you won’t make time….because it just may teach you something that you don’t wish to know. Most of the links posted here…take a matter of minutes to watch or read…..You claim not to have time…but, you seem to have plenty of time to shoot your mouth off here….while keeping both feet in your mouth ( apparently a small feat for you..plenty of practice). Yes, we all know…if you haven’t said it…it isn’t true…..Such a myopic, small mind you have……..oh….

I’m still voting for Ron Paul……poor, poor Romney…wahhhhhhhh……

      • Belinda Saxon

obviously I am preaching to the choir. You are the close minded ones. I am not stupid as you imply. I am very smart. I do not have my head in the sand and want to keep beating on a dead horse. Instead of trying to implement the good ideas Ron Paul has, you do not discuss those, you are intent on running down our best hope for overturning Obama. You do not seem to care that we could be under his thumb for the next four years. That shows who is the smart one here.

I will leave you with this thought that you might not can fathom….Not every tea party member is for Ron Paul. As is claimed, it is not one party and it is not for one candidate.

      • Average Joe

“obviously I am preaching to the choir.”

        ??????????
More like rambling on a street corner. You sound like a broken record…you keep repeating the same mantra over and over ( it isn’t changing our minds…just making us wish that the power bill was unpaid…and your power shut off). No matter what evidence is presented…you refuse to aknowledge it…you won’t watch…read…or even look into any site…that isn’t in your “comfort zone”. Get back to your street corner…maybe you can convince a few wigged out homeless folks that you have a clue…..intelligent people aren’t buying the BS……

BTW, stop whining..it isn’t pretty…and it doesn’t help your case.
While it is noce that you have a high opinion of your intelligence, it has become apparent from all of the responses to your rhetoric…that nobody else holds your view ( maybe you just have another definition of intelligence…than the rest of us…………Don’t buy a vowel…buy a clue.

Oh well, you live and you learn…at any rate…you live…..

      • Belinda Saxon

I am not the one who is not facing facts. The election is Obama versus Romney. Not Obama versus Ron Paul. Everyone had the right to vote to elect their candidate. Ron did not make it. My candidate who believes in the constitution and the original ideals of our nation and who is a very smart man Newt Gingrich did not win the candidacy. But I am dealing in realities and .not living in a fantasy.. I did not talk and talk and then make fun of someone else else who disagrees with me and make them out to be stupid and tell me I talk too much, when they talk more than anyone else. I do not need to check out any site to know that Obama and Romney are the candidates. I can face that fact.

      • Kate8

Belinda – The only reason Ron Paul did not make it was because he was shut out by the Republican Party. There was alot of voter fraud going on…entire districts that went to Ron Paul were thrown out of the count.

The people don’t make the choice about who gets the nomination. The Party does, the elites do. We get THEIR choices.

Does anybody seriously believe that McCain won the nomination last time, fair and square? He was dead last in the polls. Then, suddenly, he was the favorite. NOT. That one left a lot of us scratching our heads, and we knew that something was amiss…

Grow up, honey. We are not in Kansas anymore. Our minds are manipulatedl, and only you can choose to THINK. It’s not that hard. You just follow the money and the power.

      • Belinda Saxon

I saw Ron Paul at the debates. When I listened to him I was not always impressed. While he has some good ideas about the economy, I did not share all of his ideas. The same is true for other voters.. One problem people had with Ron Paul is they don’t believe he stood a chance against Obama. and win. That is what we must do.

      • Average Joe

        Belinda Saxon,

“The election is Obama versus Romney. Not Obama versus Ron Paul. ”

You really are lost in the election process aren’t you?. OK…let me see if you can understand (doubtful, but one last try).

        1. We are not in the general election…which will be Obama vs. whomever.
        2. We are involved in the Republican primary…nobody has been chosen yet.
        3. The Delegate vote…determines the Republican nominee.
        4. The delegate vote… takes place at the Republican Convention…in Tampa…in August.
        5. As per Rule 38…no Delegate is “bound” to vote for any candidate…they may vote their conscience…this rule was affirmed by the RNC attorneys.

        So, to recap for you….

This is not a race between Romney and Obama…it is a nominating race between Ron Paul and Willard Romney.

After the convention, you can tell us who the winner is….as of now…it is still a race….with no winners. Maybe you missed civics class?

It is never wise to apply your opinion…to a subject that you obviously do not understand…it allows your ignorance of the process to shine through…not a pretty sight.

Educate yourself about the process before sticking both of your feet in you mouth….Your uninformed, uneducated bantor is wearing thin. If you still don’t “get it”…or Still don’t have a clue…sorry for your bad luck….there is no help for you….

Ok…go ahead…you can’t resist,…. throw another silly comment out here….I need another good laugh from an uninformed…mouthpiece…stumping for a stump jumper….

      • speedle

I think you are right. These people claim they are for liberty and then they down free speech. At least if they are not agreed with.
They don’t want the democrats to win or the republicans.I don’t think they can accept the hand that has been dealt.
I think I am in the Twilight zone. Or maybe it is them. Maybe in another realm, their precious Ron Paul is their leader in a world where there is no parties and they alll live together in perfect bliss and happiness.

“I think I am in the Twilight zone.”

Finally, something that everyone here can agree with you on Brenda….We think you’re in “The Twilight Zone” too.

I’ve posted above…the nomintating process and where we are in the election cycle…but you are still out there in left field…picking the daisies, chasing unicorns and looking for the end of the rainbow…..reality eludes you…… (pssst…there is no pot of gold at the end of a rainbow, no Easter Bunny or Santa Clause either…sorry to burst your bubble).

      • Belinda Saxon

I think I am in the twilight zone because of the posts I hear from some of the people in this place. They are not to be believed ivy right thinking people. I know I have the right to speak, but you just because I differ from you in my beliefs, I am stupid. I am ditzy
.I am none of that. But I really don’t care if you don’t vote for Romney. You can’t be swayed even if someone try to use common sense with you.

Yall think Ron Paul is going to win in 2012. And I am in the twilight zone.

        Belinda Saxon,

“They are not to be believed ivy right thinking people.”

Can you attempt complete, rational sentences?

“I know I have the right to speak, but you just because I differ from you in my beliefs, I am stupid. I am ditzy”

Let’s see, You come here, spout off your opinions (with nothing to validate those opinions) and when folks give you links to disprove your opinions, you refuse to even aknowlege that they were even posted …let alone read or watch what was posted in reply (just because you ignore something, doesn’t make it any less true….or less valid). We don’t think you’re stupid or ditzy…..only that you’ve buried your head i the sand (or elsewhere)…and refuse to remove it.

“Yall think Ron Paul is going to win in 2012. And I am in the twilight zone

You are 100% correct on both counts……

        See you at the convention……

      • Belinda Saxon

I do well on reading comprehension. I made platinum in comprehension on the work ready tests. That is l00 per cent correct.

    • Deerinwater

      For once we agree DaveH.

Romney is a non starter in my books. Much better then Cain or Santorum or Newt but still a no go.

I don’t believe Ben has anything to worry about with thinking of saying President Romney. It’s not going to happen, not even with this same sex marriage blunder of major significance.

      • DaveH

I must be doing something wrong.

      • Average Joe

DaveH, I have noticed that more and more people who come here…with Romney on their minds..are actually starting to awaken…and stop spouting the “Party Line”. They are realizing that what they have been taught by TPTB has been a lie and…..that they are being played as fools for the elitists…for personal gain…and nothing more…Glad to see more folks…waking up.
So…no….. you’ve been doing something right…because someone else has awakened.Grats!

      • Belinda Saxon

apparently you are seeing something that I don’t see. It is not about the party lines. It is about defeating Obama pure and simple.

      • Average Joe

        Belinda Saxon ,

You’ve already proven your ineptitude at rational thought and politics in general. Maybe you should just take out a full page AD in USA today…or maybe National Inquirer to get that message out to more people….We already got your memo….stop spamming it…..

      • Belinda Saxon

I don’t spam and I haven’t sent a memo. Who made you king? Why don’t you think anyone who disagrees with you has a write to speak. You are not very nice. I wonder if Ron Paul would like to have you as his cheerleader if he heard the nasty things you say to people. I think better of Ron Paul than that.

        Damn! DaveHinwater, LOL!!!

      • Average Joe

        Belinda Saxon ,

I am guessing that you don’t know what spam is either….

        spam[ spam ]NOUN

post unwanted electronic messages: to post a message many times to a newsgroup, or an inappropriate message to multiple newsgroups.

When you keep repeating the same message over and over…that…is …spam….Your messages have been unwavering…..the same message….spam.

      • Belinda Saxon

I thought spam was unwante4d emails sent to your email account that you had nothing to do with getting.

If what you say is true, I am not guilty of doing that myself. I don’t post the same messages to more than one place. Just talking to all of you about this conversation. Unless I am unwanted because I say things you don’t agree with.

But I thought a site for liberty would welcome freedom of speech. Might be wrong.

I have all the respect in the world for Ron Paul, and would have voted for him in any election against any republican or democrat.

The controlled media including Fox news made sure that Paul didn’t stand a chance in hell and If Ron got elected, the problem would have been the house and senate. He would have made little progress in his ideas if we had a democratic congress.

With great men that go against the powers, he most likely would have been murdered by the thugs that control all.

Ron Paul will make the right decision and opt out of the race, not because he is quitting, but because he knows that America’s future is at stake.

So we now have a choice of a total fraud of a leader that will absolutely destroy every ounce of our constitution and freedoms, or a decent man that has been an incredible husband, father, businessman and leader.

      There really is no choice!

I honestly believe that with the proper Tea Party house and Senate we will have come November, that we have a slight chance of survival as a nation.

If the obamanation is reelected, he will by-pass or eliminate any threat to his goal of total destruction of America!

Ron Paul knows this too well and will ask all of his followers to vote Republican come November, not for him, but for the only chance for America’s survival!

Dr Paul knows what is at stake and has opened a door for his son’s future that will bring America back from the dead!

There really is no choice here folks, you can go against a good man and vote for evil because of your pride, but pride is a deadly sin, and in this case, devastatingly deadly!

I can see Rand being elected President in 2020 if Romney wins in November.

I can see total and absolute destruction of America if he loses!

God bless America and those who fight for her!!!!

I do not agree. I have known the Romney family for 50+ years, and I think you will be surprised at how good a president Mitt Romney will be. His core values are resistant to the bribery and amoral pressure he will face in Washington. Certainly, he is not motivated by greed or can be bought off by anyone. He is much more prepared for the presidency than Obama could even think of being. I am a staunch, died in the wool conservative–probably have been that way since before you guys were even born, a patriot in the true sense leading the charge on many causes–lead the Wake Up Colorado movement in the early 1970s against the ERA, helped put good men like Jack Kemp, Dick Armey, and Phil Gramm in office–have converted many of the old Blue Dogs into true conservatives, and have published hundreds of conservative articles and letters to the editor over as many years. I am pragmatic enough to realize that we will never have a candidate who passes the litmus test of true conservative. Ron Paul is the closest we will ever come–and even he would be stopped cold in his tracks. Considering the hurdles that Romney has had to climb over and the few mistakes he made along the way, he is by far the best we can hope to get elected without an instant assasination. Be glad–none of us can do it. I hope you all will behind Mitt and help him. He’s a fast learner and all we need from him is his ear. Thank you. —Dr. Max Chartrand

How refreshing to hear someone with a positive lean on Romney. I am glad to hear that you know him and have known him for a long time. Some have said that there is no difference between Obama and Romney. I would like to get a list of positive attributes on Romney and why we should vote for him.

    • speedle

My, what logic Dave. It does give me a better understanding that nonsensical thought process is not limited to towel heads who think murdering people gets them a few dozen virgins. 2 + 2 is 5, and we would be better off as a nation if Obama has four more years. I still can’t believe anyone thinks this way.
