I can’t speak for anyone else here but I’ll tell you that the homosexual practice is deviant and not normal. You may call it “normal” because it does occur in other species but it’s just as deviant with them as it is with humans. This practice is anti species and if we all practiced this the human race would be gone in one generation and that is one of the reasons this behavior is repugnant to rational thinking people. Add to that the fact that many homosexuals, like many heterosexuals, are promiscuous and spread deadly pathogens through out the population so is it any wonder that a rational person abhors this practice?

I am an Atheist because I was not indoctrinated into one of the many dogmas. I was allowed to explore and I have always embraced science and logic over myth and religion that aims to control people and their money and stifle creativity and individuality. People, be they hetero or homo sexual can be either monogamous or permiscuous. My daughter found the love of her life and has never been permiscuous. At the age of 44 I found myself twice divorced from cheaters and had only been with 3 women. You don’t need religion to have morals nor do they guarantee it (hypocrits abound). It took me SEVERAL women over the past 11 years before I found one that connected equally with me and deserved me but now I’m happy. My mother died 3 days ago of cancer and she was a Saint so don’t think I wasn’t raised right. My dad was a disciplinarian but fair and mom treated everyone with the respect they deserved. My brother and I are responsible, dependable, honest, loving, hard working, sharing liberals with NO need for religion and it’s mythology and corruption. My mother always got compliments about how she raised two great men and we recieved kudos for our behavior in public. You never saw us begging for stuff at the store or crying and we learned the value of a dollar and to take pride in our work About 10% of people are born homosexual, 15% are left handed, some have red hair and half of men go bald. We are who we are and much of it is not by choice. I’ve NEVER seen a male homosexual who chose to be that way and a majority of lesbians are born that way though there are a few lipstick lesbians. We all deserve to be happy and be with the person who matches us be it male or female. Gay marriage promotes monogamy and is good for society, to say otherwise is just.ignorant, homophobic and mean spirited.

Marriage and matrimony are two different things. The problem for homosexuals obtaining gay marriage rights is that the majority of people still view marriage as a union between one man and one woman. Naturally I also support this view. I don’t think it’s a good thing for our society to recognize the rights of gays to same sex marriage and I firmly believe that when we do that it will end up being the most destructive thing we’ve ever done.

I don’t think comparing homosexuality with right or left handedness is a good analogy. I don’t believe your 10% number either. But, even if it is 10% who claim to be born gay then it still is deviant and anti species. I don’t believe that homosexual marriages promote monogamy any more than heterosexual marriages do. I think that people will be faithful to each other no matter whether they are legally married or not. Monogamy is a choice just like practicing homosexual or heterosexual behavior is. My daughter moved to NY and just before she did they passed a gay marriage law. So now if her girlfriend and her get married how does that affect you? If they live together for the rest of their lives without that legal union instead how does that affect you? It DOESN”T They get the right to inherit without penalty, They get the right to make healthcare decisions for each other (and they should know each other’s wishes better than anyone else), They get the sense of equality as human beings. Some churchs will openly marry gays and others won’t and that is fine but your church doesn’t have the right to tell the church down the block what to believe. I work with a real fundamentalist and I guarantee NO matter how pious you think you are you wouldn’t measure up in his narrow little mind, especially if you don’t beleive the world/man/universe is only 6,000 years old, you don’t speak in tongues, and you touch even a nightly wine to your lips.

If you daughter is gay, get her back into church. Most gays are atheists anyway. Second, I also have many friends of different races, so what’s your point? Third, since your wife is probably caucasian, how can you talk about being race intollerant? My wife is from Korea, ergo I hold nothing against someone because of their race. I’ve served this country honorably for 55 years by standing up for what is right, treating my fellow man with the respect they earn, obeying the law, paying my taxes, doing good deeds with no expectation of reward. An ex brother in law adulterer and sunday school teacher used me as an example of how one can be a good person without being a christian but said I couldn’t be saved. I’ll take his compliment and say I don’t need saved. My father served in the Navy and his brother was a green beret. But not everyone is meant for the military. I want to ask your opinion on this: why did our creator make two people and place them in the garden of pleasure and delight (garden of Eden or gan aiden in Hebrew) and include the two trees there? You know which ones I’m talking about. I have to believe that he knew what these two would do and they did what he expected and that he had a plan to deal with it? Do you think I’m wrong? My point is that he left them free to make that choice as he could have simply prevented it by not including the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil there then they wouldn’t have been tempted. The next thing that made me consider just what our rights were was the incident where Cain murdered Abel. Again YHWH could have stepped in and prevented the murder. To me this doesn’t mean the YHWH(God) endorsed these activities he merely allowed them to take place. He gave us the unrestricted freedom of choice along with the the consequences those choices bring.

I lived in Chicago for 46 years and just left 20 months ago. They have plenty of parks and activites for kids to use.

The problem stems from lazy parents who don’t work, don’t care for their kids, never wanted them in the first place, would rather join a gang, do drugs, have no respect for themselves and live off the rest of us tax paying citizens. And it all started when the government got involved and said they were going to help them….B%llSH!T!!!
They once had wonderful area’s to live in, they had there own stores and shops, beautiful neighborhoods, dressed to the 9′s and had familys that stayed togeather.

Of further interest is that CPT Lewis took a LARGE Newfoundland dog with, and it was stolen by some Indians, who apparently intended to make a feast of it. And Clinton’s last budget proposal for FY2001, which ended in September 2001, generated a $133.29 billion deficit. The growing deficits started in the year of the last Clinton budget, not in the first year of the Bush administration.

First, there was no huge surplus under Clinton- it was all Enron accounting. If there was such a surplus why was there still an increase in the national debt? Yes Bush got us in to the Iraq war and Afghanistan; with Congressional approval! (including Democrat support). Obama has involved us in at least 5 different conflicts, some without even consulting Congress. This administration has increased our national debt more than all the other presidents combined. No budget submitted for 3 years that even his own party would approve. Stop blaming the Bush administrations and deal with the reality of this power-mad, spendthrift regime currently in power.
