Obamamania Or Obama Mayhem?

May 9, 2012 by

Obamamania Or Obama Mayhem?
UPI
President Obama has turned his back on the facts.

With his reelection bid just months away President Barack Obama is painting himself as a reformer who will continue to resurrect America. Below is an excerpt from an ad released last week: (WARNING, do not watch if you have bouts of common sense or are subject to episodes of depression while seeing your country go down the drain).

“On the day Barack Obama took office, America had already lost 4.4 million jobs — an economic disaster, the worst in a generation. Some said America’s best days were behind us. And like America, he (Obama) dug deep, fought back and never lost faith in our ability to meet the challenge.”

Obama’s Plan

Obama tells us that the Republican Party is the challenge because it is mired in the past. If by the past Obama means America’s wealth and greatness, then he is correct. And make no mistake, if the President is given another four years to work out his schemes and his plans, America’s greatness will be lost and a staggering superpower will be eviscerated.

It is true that the United States was in decline before Obama’s election in 2008. However, the President has managed to cut out America’s economic underpinnings and in doing that he has severely wounded the Nation’s psyche.

One hundred years ago the U.S. was quickly consolidating its position as the richest and most powerful nation. Today it is the world’s largest debtor, and well past its economic apex.

Denial is in full bloom. Obama is commanding the largest U.S. military to wage a war that cannot be won. At the same time, the President continues to spend billions in new tax dollars on unproven clean energy.

How much longer can we support this military monster? What happens when the money flow stops?

History serves up grim answers to these disturbing questions. Rome collapsed after it became overextended and could no longer afford to pay its legions to impose Caesar’s will. Spain collapsed after its vast overseas commitments broke its treasury. And England succumbed when its treasury could no longer finance its ambitions.

To say that this cannot happen to America is to ignore history. Where we are headed is a natural consequence of where we have been.

The United States is falling victim to what historian Paul Kennedy calls “imperial overstretch.” In his bestseller, The Rise and Fall of the Great Powers, Kennedy wrote:

If a state overextends itself strategically by the conquest of extensive territories or the waging of costly wars — it runs the risk that the potential benefits from external expansion may be outweighed by the great expense of it all. This dilemma becomes acute if the nation concerned has entered a period of relative economic decline.

President Obama proclaims that the U.S. is a great power, able to force its will on the world, without regard of the cost. He has perpetuated the illusion. If you listen to the President, you would think that the United States is as much of a superpower today as it was 50 years ago.
By any measure America is in decline:

  • In the 1950s and 1960s U.S. productivity grew by around 3 percent per year. That meant that our standard of living doubled every 24 years. Today, productivity is growing by less than 1 percent. That means it takes 60 to 70 years for our living standard to double.
  • In 1970 U.S. firms manufactured 100 percent of the electronic products bought in the United States. Today they account for less than 4 percent.
  • In 1981 the U.S. was the world’s largest creditor with the rest of the world owing it $140 billion. Today our aggregate debt exceeds $14 trillion, up $5 trillion since Mr. Obama took office.
  • Unemployment typically did not rise above 7 percent a generation ago but is now locked in at more than 8 percent; this during Mr. Obama’s so called economic recovery.
  • Medicare and Social Security will soon be insolvent at the current rates of disbursement.
  • U.S. manufacturing jobs surged from the end of the Depression until the early 1970s, when the number of jobs peaked. Then jobs were flat until 1999. After that jobs collapsed. For the 10 years ending in 2010, factories lost workers so fast that they erased all the gains that had been made over the previous 70 years, with the loss of one out of every three manufacturing jobs; some 6 million in total. (See chart below):

Employees on Nonfarm Payrolls: Manufacturing

America’s joblessness is endemic, especially when you consider the trillions of new dollars injected by the Obama Administration.

Clyde Prestowitz, a former U.S. Commerce Official noted, “The American Century is over.”

And The Atlantic recently pointed out that Obama will have a difficult time making good on campaign promises:

For most of U.S. history, most people had a slow and steady wind at their back, a combination of economic forces that didn’t make life easy but gave many of us little pushes forward that allowed us to earn a bit more every year. Over a lifetime, it all added up to a better sort of life than the one we were born into. That wind seems to be dying for a lot of Americans. What the country will be like without it is not quite clear.

I think we can infer the result of Obama’s dismantling of Pax Americana. It will mean a continued economic and moral decline of the United States. The first evidence of unrest occurred last year with Occupy protests in the United States. Unless there is a turnaround in the economy we will see worsening violence and social discord.

We may have one desperate last chance to save the American dream. It rests in the hands of voters who have the responsibility to see that Obama is defeated in November.

Yours in good times and bad,

VOTE FOR RON PAUL IN NOVEMBER 2012!!! Tell everyone you know to do the same if you want to save this country, not only for yourselves, but also for your children and grandchildren. If Obama is reelected, it will be the END of our once great country. MARK MY WORDS!!

    • Dennis

I’m in, Ron Paul 2012, He is your last chance.

  • Randolph Rivers

The video says saved jobs…what happened to saved or created jobs? Auto rescue…has ALL the money been paid back…answer NO. Next lie please…Wall Street did not wreck our economy… did obamo forget about Freddie and Fannie…next lie…health care…here pay me for five years then you get some of the money back if you use one of OUR programs “GOVERNMENT RUN PROGRAM” your too stupid to make your own choice. Next lie…and over here he persevered…no he went around Congress…he lied…he ignored the Constitution…I stop watching the hollow wood hype movie. That’s all the lies I can deal with today. Wake up America is a not what the media reports because they don’t report anymore they just feed the stupid the party line. Communist party line. Get used to it because you will be standing in lots of lines when the rationing starts. Stupid 50%, GOD help us rid the world of this evil ideology.

  • ShovelHead

I’m not a smart man, but we are sticking our noses in every conflick around the globe. If we are going to help out other countries, we should be compencaded for providing protection if our troops are deployed, the country we are helping out should pay for our services. The government is sending so much money and supplies to other places to help rebuild or to take care of , we need to stop sending billions to other countries and keep it in our own country or we can start rebuild our Great Nation helping out the American People to get back on our feet instead of giving it away to someone else. Get rid of the unions that drives up the cost of everything. If they can send billions and billions every where else they could have given it to the companies to keep the jobs and businesses here in the United States. Like I send I’m not a smart man but this is just common sense.

    • http://www.mototcarsfinancial.com Brad

Shovelhead, the US government or tax apyers dont need to give anything to any countries or to companies. All we need is a zero corprate tax and the jobs will come home and the wealth of the great charitible people of America will provide for the disabled

With everyone so unhappy about conditions in America I hope they have learned a lesson . Being politically correct is a very dangerous thing . A candidate of of color is elected because nobody was to be labeled racist . Disregard the fact that the guy had been a nothing lawyer and had been a community organizer backed by far left leaning organizations . Disregard that he was a irst term Senator who had done absolutely NOTHING is the Senate . Who was absent the vast majority of the time missing Senate votes because he was to busy planning how to get elected president . In this rush to be politically correct , they over looked the guys beliefs and even his eligibility to even run for office .

Well , I hope they are real happy , They elected not a leader with dreams of greatness , but one with a vision to destroy America . A Communist who was raised to believe in the Marxist ideal. Who believes only in the power of the state , not the people who make up the state . Elect a Communist , you get Communism plane and simple ! If indeed we get to the elections scheduled this November , I pray the voters let this guy know exactly what they think and vote him out in such a manner that he will never return to politics in any capacity and so resoundingly that his rigged vote count system can not affect the process . As Americans , we must defeat Communism at the polls and show this guy the door . And also insure that ALL seeking the office are actually Americans Eligible to Run For the Office of President

  • Power To The People

Doc, are you drinking the kool aid this morning? Obummer wants to reduce the debt!!! He and the merry band of crooks in Congress double down on the debt and then tell us faithful followers/slaves that they will do what is necessary to reduce the debt! Give me a break….WTF!

The crooks have stolen from this country for years. The current organizer/Prez/Vacationer in Chief is a pure Facist. His vision of America is certainly not mine and God save us if he is re-elected.

    • Dennis48e

It is projected that obama’s spending plan will increase the debt by 1 trillion + for years to come.

      • http://www.mototcarsfinancial.com Brad

sure that makes lots of sense, spend, spend, like no tomorrow because if you keep spending there will be no tomorrow.

  • Jean-Claude

John ,you know too well :you are wrong and you are misleading the nation.Show your true face.Is honesty a vilain word for you guys ,in the media ? If the politicians are to blame ,you guys, hypocrits and directors of conscience are to blame ten ( 10 ) times .

  • dave

Until you have term limits in congress also, nothing is going to change, you have people in there thats been in their so long they have no clue on whats going on with unemployment, housing , illegal immigration, so on. That goes for the entire bureaucracy in washington, do you really think for one minute that these old congressman are making these decisions, really they are 75-90 years old and senile. there are just figure heads. If we had term limits, we can at least have a chance to revive our consitution, etc. to make this country great again. Wake up thats the bottom line, time to flush out washington and get back control of this country.

    • 45caliber

      dave:

And at least one Congressman (forgot who) wants to eliminate the 8 year time limit for President because Oblama ‘deserves’ to rule … ah … serve longer.

      • Flashy

45….just for kicks…can you name the last winning ticket of the GOP Presidencies which did not have a Bush or a Nixon on the ballot as VP or P? Here’s another question for you (let’s give some folks nightmares shall we? LOL). Would Obama be ineligible to run as a VP in 2016 with Hillary or Biden running for the top slot?

      • http://www.mototcarsfinancial.com Brad

he has to be a national citizen to run for POTUS or VP, I don’t think he is and as pointed out NJ court ruled in favor of Obamas attny. the BC could not be used as it is a fraudulent fake.

      • http://www.mototcarsfinancial.com Brad

sorry that should read natural citzen

  • Dave67

Once again… Sky is falling right wing loons do not get it…

The 1950′s are over and they are not coming back…. get over it.

Who sold out our manufacturing base?
Who started us down the road of tax cut and spend?
Who deregulated the banks and wall street?
Who started un-nessecary wars (which included Vietnam BTW and goes up to Iraq)

Those are the people to blame, Obama is merely the latest in the line that includes, Johnson, Reagan, Nixon, Bush, and Clinton that have done their part to take this country down. Compared to those president’s Obama hasn’t done much to hurt this country comparitively.

The right wing loons love to talk about oil now and try to blame Obama on that but do they really want Gov control of the oil industry? Of course not… They would howl if Obama did any such thing. Obama can do nothing right in right wing loon land.

Yet the rich in this country have not done any better in the past 30 years since the robber barron era… But that is Obama’s fault too….

    Conservatism is a mental disease

    • MAP

And we can believe this. It comes from a far-left wing, foaming-at-the-mouth, nutcase.

      • LAB

        Well said MAP

      • Dave67

And of course we can believe your extremist right wing rhetoric can’t we? You conservatives had your chances starting with that fool Reagan and from 2000-2006 your side did so much damage to this country, that it will take decades to recover… But we should give the right wing another chance right? LOL

    • http://firefox wog1

Many people were killed in Vietnam needlessly and it was not the Republican fault. The Democrats pulled us out and it is not communist. Loss of freedom and loss of life that is what it is all about. We have really progressed but that is going “FORWARD”.

  • http://www.cindynel.co.za peter

There are only two peoples on the planet. Those who control and those who are controlled. That will not change and if slavery is the only option left in order to control then that is what the controllers will be prepared to resort to. Whether Obama, Romney or the Head Waiter at Mikes Tavern is designated as the next potus, the rules remain the same. That is exactly why Obama said: why don’t they just shut up and obey me! He knows the rules and we are in trouble. Those in power at the top already know the president in waiting ( surely they have decided to keep Obama as he has carried out their will quite adequately) so it is more of the same ahead. As they say in the classics; If you can’t stand the heat get out of the kitchen. There is an incredibly bumpy road ahead, so all that can be said is keep your wits about you and good luck. Putting your faith in Obama, Romney or any one else is futile. Be not misled by any other man, whoever he may be. Stay true to yourself and look within for the courage and determination which you will need to survive the coming mayhem. Guaranteed to test you to the absolute limit. Amen.

  • Raggs

Lets not forget that it was oblama that had the US credit rating downgraded for the FIRST time in history….

    • Dave67

Lets also not forget the report on the credit downgrade specifically cited GOP obstructionism for the downgrade. Why don’t you read the S&P report? Oh yeah… I keep forgetting… Knowledge, books… they are like kryptonite to a conservative.

Don’t remember Barnyard Twiddle Crispy Dudd? $120 loan on a $100 phoney appraisal for an $80 list price asset that might sell at auction for $50- a man-date that couldn’t be refused.

happy grunts spend new wealth & home
        wealth gone
        home gone
grunts broke, homeless, & on the street instead of the old used-to be home
        trillions vanishes
& nothing happens to twiddles & dudd

      • Mike in MI

Got a damned short memory on how that one went down, don’cha, Davey -
At first they came out waving the right arm around pointing the finger threatening that Obama had to change our fiscal policy.
Obama squealed like a stuck pig and they both disappeared for a week.
Then they came back out and the guy started waving his left arm around and pointing his finger at the obstructionists on the right whose racism hinders fundamental change. He would have waved his right arm at a downgrade but it was downgraded – being in a cast, and all.
And there was Brak…grinnin’ like the Chesshire Cat in Allicin Wunnerlayund.

The conclusions in this article are nothing short of pathological paranoid delusions. The rich have NEVER been richer than right now. We are in the golden age of greed. Manufacturing jobs have collapsed because of the REPUBLICAN sellout to Big Biz’s new strategy of driving labor prices down by mass outsourcing of jobs and industries to low wage countries like China and India. It is insanity to blame unions for any of this.

    • Raggs

Can you say NAFTA you know the little thing Clinton did that pushed our jobs overseas.

      • Michael

NAFTA was a creation of the REPUBLICAN right that Clinton foolishly agreed to. I remember if well… at first there was a lot of complaining that Mexico and the other low wage countries were not abiding by the rules in NAFTA to treat their workers better but eventually that farce faded away because NAFTA was always a Trojan Horse to cheap labor.

      • Gordon

All you people need to recognize the fact that things like NAFTA, etc. are planned and executed by those manipulating the entire world situations. Sure, you will deny it, and probably never actually realize it, but things are planned out for decades in advance. In 1977 Clinton was announced as POTUS in 1996. The whole situation is like a Monopoly game: The Bildebergers and Rothchilds running the whole show. Arguing will not change the facts.

      • 45caliber

        Michael:

Clinton didn’t “foolishly agree to”. He was in there pushing it hard, along with a lot of other Demos. He knew exactly what it was and even expanded on it.

      • Flashy

And NAFTA would have been favorable had the Bush II/Cheney regime not taken the stance that our laws did not apply to any goods shipped to this country or to factories sited in Mexico, but that Mexico’s laws did apply to us.

    • Dennis

Your right, the blame should start with your boy, little Billy Clinton, even thow it goes further back than him, he was and is one of the biggest pushers for the fall of America, or he was until Obama came along.
You can add Reagan, Carter and the Bushs to that list as well, and if Romney wins add him to.
      Wake up.

      • Smithkowitz

Thanks Dennis, I hope more people read what you wrote and see the connection.

    • old hillbilly

Global monopolists in rhino clothes systematically took over US manufacturing, resource development, and financial empires. They sold global unity and BIG, as strength and unity! They then proceeded to sack the US treasury and wealth to build new manufacturing infrastructure in Communist China and elsewhere, under the same old US names. Simultaneously, their radical followers obstructed and chanted until we believed that our God given resources are toxic and evil and had to be “regulated” by anointed elitists. Magically, China suddenly had enough factories and obedient slave laborers to supply the US and world. America finds itself unable to compete and fast approaching unable to maintain skills and knowledge required to even feed itself! The old factories were bulldozed and turned into parking lots, parks, retail malls, and “space”. Elitists regulated mining, energy extraction, and resource development into a state of prohibition! Simultaneously, China is exploiting those same resources, polluting far more that we ever did… to produce and deliver the goods we need to survive. That leaves us with the great American global service and nanotechnology! We know how to eat but can’t make a spoon or knife!

We are now experts in bringing the stuff we need to live from the port of import to the cave we’re going to be living in. As the goods came in, our money went out. As money runs out, our IOU’s will replace it until there is no wealth left to mortgage! The hype was “get a good education, retrain, multitask…”! Because a Chinese engineer would rather have Mao send him a bowl of rice to his cubicle than work in the rice field (or starve), he produces all the nanotechnology the big world needs. Because American engineers would rather work shuffling paper and regulating for the government for $100K++ or be on welfare than work for bowls of rice for his controlled family of three… US nanotechnology is watching the economy shrink into oblivion!

Obviously, the monopoly that is sucking the life out of America is a coalition of global monopolists and Communists with dreams of global communism. Based on the nature of the beasts, both sides are confident they have the upper hand and will end up in absolute merciless control of everything (remember goldfinger and Mau…?) One makes everybody wish they were dead – the other kills everybody.

      • http://www.mototcarsfinancial.com Brad

Y’ Old Hillbilly you are pretty bright and I would like to know when you are running for the POTUS, because we need a guy like you immediately. Please run and run fast. :)

      • Mike in MI

Brad – you’re right. It struck me, also, how that old coot is pretty savvy and a good writer – like…a pro.
But those old hillbillies can’t run anyplace fast…except on side hills. They’ve all got one shot leg and it makes them go in circles on the flats. ‘Course…that could be an advantage in D.C.

  • Richard Vandervort

I can only assume that any Monkey business done in Washington is now Ok seeing as the Head Chimp leads this Vile pack of animals in the Washington zoo.
We can sit back and leave things as they are or we can start acting like true Americans and go into attack mode and fight back.
Let’s show the great one that he’s not above the laws of man even though he thinks he’s above the law it self.
We can demand legally that all candidates running for office be E-Verified before they can be placed on the voters Ballot including incumbents for a start.
Secondly we can demand that all voting machines print a receipt of the voters cast votes so they can be verified then placed in a Ballot Box as a verifying electoral count.
Thirdly we can demand the requirements of Photo ID be used for any and all wishing to cast a vote during the election process.
We can make a change and all that’s needed is to unite and fight back for our rights to be free.

    • Mike in MI

      Richard Vanderv. -
Fighting back in the way you envision would be the most ridiculous and destructive thing you could do…exactly what they want. Call for martial law and cancel the elections. Then govern by edict. What makes you think you’d ever have a say in your government again? ‘Tain’t likely, Magoo.
Even if somebody assassinated the O’Preszer what makes you think they don’t have twenty more like him – or worse – waiting in the wings.
We’re in such a mess you better get down on your Dutch Reformed knobbley knees and start prayin’ constantly for, “Kings and all those in authority that we may live quiet and peaceable lives in all godliness and honesty.” Then trust God to work out the details. It
doesn’t say anything about armed insurrection.
The resurrection gives you far more power than what ever comes out the barrel of a gun. Best thing is nobody can ever point their finger at you because they can ‘t reconstruct a line of evidence from God.
Now it is true that that is the reason the Devil wants to get rid of Christians and those “lyin’ Bibbles”. But every time he starts hitting believers the Devil pays a big price. Uncommitted ones don’t cost him a thing. Needless to say The Devil owns the rest who don’t believe God raised Jesus Christ from the dead and said I want him for my Boss.
Mark my words: one of these days they are going to come looking for your Bibles and study materials They are not making a big thing about it …yet. They will because it’s the only thing the Devils fear…God and His Word. “In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God and THE WORD WAS GOD” . The Word carries the authority and the raw energetic power that ws necessary in the beginning to create everything. If you know how to access that and know how to enlist God’s assistance you’re someone to be reckoned with – and Satan will go around you. If you don’t he’ll go over you and drag you indefinitely.

      • Richard Vandervort

Mike, Where did you see me saying for anyone to pick up a gun to make any demands? The only way that I would ever suggest something like that woul be if it was the only means left for protecting life.
Put enough people in the streets of Washington and every major city voicing their demands and nothing moves until demands should be enough.
Going to arms should always be a last endeavor in any situation.

  • Forth Right

wow! some commercial, what a president! he did all that? Goebels would of been proud. too bad it’s all lies, propaganda. I can’t wait when he’s re-elected and the drones, the brain washed masses, the utopians, the unions are all out of work, impoverished, waiting in long lines, basically living in Catro’s USSA.

for me, I’ll be long gone and I’m not telling where.

  • Richard Vandervort

    A Lunatic At Large!

I’ve said this all to many times that we’ve allowed a Lunatic loose in the White House but few have listened.
Obama has done so many things to destroying this country but this move takes the cake and it seems that many of the American citizens are still asleep to the immanent danger.
No longer do we have free speech when everything you say becomes racist.
This Illegal sitting President with the stroke of a pen is handing over our very freedom as well as the sovereignty of our nation to the control of foreign nations with one more executive order.
We can not allow Obama to get away with this one because the signing of a U. N. Resolution that gives away our control over our territorial waters, Free Trade, Industrial Technology, Gun Rights and our Financial System will forever enslave all of our citizen to the whims of outside countries.
Many Americans struggle to feed and house their family’s today but what will be their plight when they find out their paycheck will be reduced to pay for foreign family’s too.
Obama has realized the real chance of not winning another election so now by the powers of executive orders is fast tracking all the damaging orders he can to fulfil his One World Order Agenda.
Voting Obama is no longer good enough and he must be removed for his ineligibility to hold office where we can make all that he’s done Null and Void.
To allow Obama to finish his term will place all elected there after to abide by the international agreements he’s signing now and forcing our citizens to live under these laws too.
This administration has been getting ready for a public revolution in this country because they know that the American public will never submit to living under international law wilfully and their preparing to use force to doing it now.
The French and Russia have just went back under Socialist power and most all other nations are controlled by socialist too and we all know Obama’s a socialist as well and the hand writing on the wall as to what comes next for America.
Freedom was a gift given to us all by our Founding Fathers and preserved by the blood of many to preserving it for so many years, Are we ready to just allow one Lunatic to just give our freedom away with out a fight?
May God Bless America and All that will fight for Her!

    • Mike in MI

      Mr. Vandervort –
There is nothing requirig us to be bound by those treaties – if that’s what they are. They Senate must also give advice and consent on treaties. If not we aren’t bound – unless there is some sort of special meaning to this O’Preszer giving away his autograph like bill clinton puting his mark on every firehydrant , tree and leg he happenned upon.

      • http://www.mototcarsfinancial.com Brad

Nope POTUS dose not need congress to sign a treaty. EO is just fine. Scary time my friends.

  • Sarah

Another Liberty Carnival side show, with lots of tall tale’s and some humor to boot, its like Romney saying, he deserves some credit for bailing out the auto makers, lol, now we all know that’s delusional. Liberty you better get your facts straight.

  • Doc Sarvis

President Obama has proposed to reduce the military budget, it is the Republicans in Congress who are fighting that proposal. Our President got our combat troops our of Iraq ahead of schedule and has started the drawdown in Afghanistan – combat troops there are to be out by the end of 2014 I believe. It seems conservatives love to bash this President if he wants to maintain our current military OR bash him if he tries to pull back on our military.

Everyone, including President Obama, wants to reduce our debt. [Actually, noted conservative and former Vice President/President Dick Cheney said that deficits don't matter] He has proposed ways to begin attacking the deficit including having those who have benefitted the most from our country’s various strengths, contribute more to our situation. This would ease the burden on the middle and lower classes allowing them to broaden and deepen our economic recovery. This porposal has, of course, been blocked by conservatives who want to continue to concentrate our country’s wealth in the top 1-2% of our population.

Please tell me when President Obama proclaimed that the U.S. could “force its will on the world”. If you listened to President Obama with an open mind you would know that, while we are still a superpower, we have taken a hit; as have many other countries (some more than others) in this global economic downturn.

If you think voting Mitt Romney into the White House will save us you probably are ignoring the fact that he is just a richer version of President Obama. A President Romney will further stick it to the middle class and further concentrate the wealth to just a few.

    • MAP

      A couple of points Doc.

“conservatives who want to continue to concentrate our country’s wealth in the top 1-2% of our population” This is a Republican stance. Republican and conservative are NOT interchangeable terms. You use the leftist argument that always boils down to the two parties. The simple truth is conservatives have no party. Therefore, this argument is false and silly.

“Please tell me when President Obama proclaimed…” Who care what he said. He is a habitual liar. He will say anything that he thinks we are stupid enough to believe.

      • Doc Sarvis

        A couple of points MAP.

Is the Tea Party conservative? Didn’t Tea Party candidates run as Republicans? I know that not all Republicans are Tea Partiers.

My statement; Please tell me when President Obama proclaimed that the U.S. could “force its will on the world” is asking a question of the author of the article, Mr. Myers. The article is lying if he is referring to something President Obama did not say.

      • MAP

        My points still stand, Doc.

      • Doc Sarvis

Perhaps – in a very weak way.

      • eddie47d

It’s funny Doc how they like to lump Democrats,Progressives,Liberals,Socialists and Communists together but how dare we lump Republicans,Conservatives ,Fascists and so forth together. In other words they can’t accept what may or may not be but we have to sit back and do so. They love adding to the confusion because they are confused.

      • http://katrael.wordpress.com Katrael

eddie47d, Yep you got it right you guys are commies all right. No doubt about it. Republican(small r) and conservative do go together but not fascists.

        Fascism,
a political, philosophy, movement or regime (as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition.

There is nothing in this that any conservative republican(small r) believe in.

Get an education, learn to read then buy yourself a dictionary so you’ll know what the words mean.

Actually, that definition above sounds more like what you guys stand for.

      • RichE

        What’s the small r mean?

      • http://katrael.wordpress.com Katrael

RichE, the small r republican means someone who is for limited government that our country was founded on but doesn’t mean the modern Republican party who’s agenda is far different than the former.

      • eddie47d

Fascist Germany,Italy and Spain all ran their government on the premise that dominating others would bring them a grand empire or to keep THEIR appropriate heritage in tact. Same with the right wing groups in America who vote Republican. The modern Progressive or even Democrats have no such desire. Totally opposite on equal rights issues.

      • http://katrael.wordpress.com Katrael

eddie47d, everybody is entitled to their opinion even if they are wrong. You point out something about Republicans that may, and I say may, be true. True republicans have no interest in “dominating others” and it’s interesting that again you offer nothing to prove your point. As MAP points out in his comment that conservatives don’t have a party affiliation such as Democrat or Republican. I’m very conservative but have no allegiance to the Republican party. I may support a candidate who’s individual platform I agree with but not the party as a whole. I believe this is true of most conservative republicans(small r).

Apparently you are ignorant and don’t understand the definition of a “Fascist” style government, which the liberal progressive movement has more in common with than the conservative movement, and the republican form of government. Get an education, learn to read and get a good dictionary so you can learn to understand the meaning of the words you use.

Doc, Odrama talks out of one side of his mouth to the people and then distroys American values with his EO’s out of the other side. You are dilussional.

      • Doc Sarvis

        You wish.

      • Flashy

Doc….truth doesn’t matter to the TP/Radical Right/American Taliban. Policies they espoused and even today call for more of gave us this mess we’re in. Facts, data, numbers, history, … none of it matters because it’s everyone else’s fault. Those that do realize the reality, well…they’re denigrated and insulted and put down as socialists, commies, degenerates, unpatriotic, lyin’ etc etc.

heck…..they’ll deny the undeniable. And when they do get what they wished for? Why…it’s the fault of the Liberals!

Ask for rational argument in support of whatever they’re contending…and it’s either a slam, rants and raves, or simply ignoring. Or…one of their tried and true methods…asking for someone to source the obvious.

i used to be appalled at the TP Trilogy displayed here every day…Fear, hate, ignorance. Now I laugh. And i truly believe they don’t understand why most people are laughing at them! It’s become akin to being at a reunion, and they’re the Uncle Buck wandering around talking to himself and folks quietly whispering that perhaps it’s time someone looked into a ” nice home” for him.

      • Opal the Gem

And Flashy the one proven to be a lier many times over posts yet again.

      • TML

Flashy says, “Policies they espoused and even today call for more of gave us this mess we’re in.”

I think that’s true regardless of what party occupies the White House. Interventionist policy created and trained the Taliban and Al-Qaida, armed Iraq against Iran (even though we also armed Iran through the Iran/Contra scandal), etc… Obama’s policies now of conquest and intervention (evident in the expansion of military actions across the Middle Eat) obviously thinks the solution to the problem is more of what created the problem… intervention. It requires the further printing of money to finance these wars, raising the debt limit, putting the country further into debt. Nah… the policies that Obama uses now is only more of the same that put us in this mess.

Flashy says, “Ask for rational argument in support of whatever they’re contending…and it’s either a slam, rants and raves, or simply ignoring. Or…one of their tried and true methods…asking for someone to source the obvious.”

Interesting, I always provide a rational argument, without slams, rants, raves, or ignorance…. And while I do sometimes ask for a source to support your assertions (since an assertion is not an obvious truth) … you rarely, if ever engage.

      • Flashy

TML…i read your posts. Unfortunately, by the time i do read them it’s getting close to the time when i have to kick into high gear and satisfy those who sign the ol’ paycheck.

      • Mike in MI

Ok, Doc S. and Fahloosschman, How many of the tens of thousands of Executive Orders Obama has signed do you think he bothered to read? Who authored all of those rules and regs, between vacations and golf or bball shootarounds?? Are they really the result of well thought out national policy…or just his personal preferences? Was it possible for anybody to peruse and ask about the provisions in any of the E.O.s or…do we not find out about them until we step on that particular rusty nail? Honestly ccan anybody get at them to read or question their contents or wisdom—before the elections? Think there’s any posibility any of them might have any effect on you and your freedom (–EVER?–). Surely not – nice, compliant, complaisant, little Bommie-commie-kids like you.
Enjoy your traces. Just don’t ever try to be your own person. You’ll hit the barrier quick.

Please do not attempt to provide as proof the fraudulent birth certificate. Feel free to address the fraudulent selective service registration and the SS number from the state of Connecticut.

      • Dave67

        Bob,

You know as well as I that the President has limited abilities to turn the economic ship around but since he took office, the unemployment rate has been on a downward trend (of course, you will cite the people dropping out of the labor force to counter and only when a more conservative president that is to your liking gets in, will any positive news be validated by people like you).

How did the United States come out of the Great Depression? Was it spending cuts and low taxes? Do you have any info there? To get this country back, we need new trade, tax, education and spending policy that puts this country, this COUNTRY first, not corp America, they have no loyalty to the United States. Corptocracy needs to end in this country. Wealthy interests are served to keep the masses dumb in this country. Those interests give alot of money to the GOP and Democratic parties.

Its time to end big money in politics.

        Mr. Livingston,
Flashy is right of course, if you would open your eyes and mind to my previous statements of fact you would be satisfied. Here are some more…
        Loves our country:
He is leading our military and intelligence forces against terrorists who want to attack our country, can you say bin Laden?
He gives credit to our military and intelligence forces for the vital work they do and their dedication
He is trying to bring jobs back to our country – fighting the current policy of giving benefits to companies who ship jobs overseas
He got our combat troops out of Iraq ahead of schedule – how many government timelines can say that?

economy (I assume you would agree we are in very rough economic times):
He took a chance to save the failing American auto industry and they now enjoy strong sales
        Employment is slowly rising
He is trying to build up our lower and middle class – the vast majority of our population

      • Flashy

        Mr. Livingston:

        “Dear Doc Sarvis,

You write: “President Obama is an American and truly loves America.” Please provide proof of this statement. I have asked this of you before and not gotten a satisfactory response.”

i am convinced that unless you were able to have a time machine to witness the live birth, nothing is acceptable as the mind is closed.

Your stance stands alongside that of Portugese supporters and the arguments made to the Pope in 1493 which resulted in the Treaty of Tordesillas (1494).

Spain argued that since there was no proof any Portugese had discovered any new lands in South America other than Brazil, it (South America) belonged to Spain. Portugal’s supporters cited the intense secrecy of the times in having all pilot logs confiscated so any new lands would not be subjected to claims by others and that THE TOTAL LACK OF PROOF was in reality indisputable proof that Portugese sailors had been there !

In your stance, there is no valid or even close to valid proof President Obama was not born in the US..therefore, the argument is no proof that he was born outside the US means it’s indisputable proof he wasn’t.

The burden should be on you to prove your stance to the “satisfaction” [your words] of those who say “malarkey” to the “birthers”. every court, every AG, every elections board certifying eligibility of presidential candidates…not one states Pres. Obama is ineligible to hold the office. seems to me with that … it’s up to the Birthers to “show the beef”

        Have a nice day.

        Dear Doc Sarvis,

Once again you have conveniently skipped the fraudulent birth certificate, selective service registration and SS number.

You write: “…if you would open your eyes and mind to my previous statements of fact you would be satisfied.” There are few whose eyes are open wider than mine. You have not yet provided any statements of fact.

You write: “He is leading our military and intelligence forces against terrorists who want to attack our country, can you say bin Laden?
He gives credit to our military and intelligence forces for the vital work they do and their dedication
He is trying to bring jobs back to our country – fighting the current policy of giving benefits to companies who ship jobs overseas
He got our combat troops out of Iraq ahead of schedule – how many government timelines can say that?” I could challenge the veracity of each of these points, but even if true they are irrelevant as proof he loves America.

You write: “economy (I assume you would agree we are in very rough economic times)” Yes.

You write: “He took a chance to save the failing American auto industry and they now enjoy strong sales” What chance did he take? What he saved were union pensions at the expense of lien holders. The agreement violated bankruptcy laws. The car companies are “enjoying strong sales” only as a result of government subsidies (ie., money printing which is inflating).

You write: “Employment is slowly rising” That is a lie. From shadowstats.com: The April payroll-survey employment gain of 115,000 was below already-weak consensus expectations, for a second month (although the headline March gain of 120,000 revised to 154,000), while the household survey showed an outright monthly employment contraction for the second month. None of the month-to-month changes were statistically significant, as usual, but year-to-year change in nonfarm payrolls has begun to slow markedly. The headline U.3 unemployment rate dropped a statistically insignificant notch to 8.1% in April, from 8.2% in March, but the “good” news was anything but good. The declining pace of headline unemployment reflected an accelerating increase in the number of the headline unemployed giving up looking for work, because there were no jobs to be had. The number of short-term discouraged workers increased by 103,000 in April, with the inclusive broader U.6 unemployment rate holding at 14.5% in April. The 103,000 pick up in the short-term discouraged workers, however, was net of those who rolled into long-term discouraged worker status (discouraged for more than a year) and simply disappeared from the government’s unemployment accounting. The SGS-Alternate Unemployment Measure, accordingly, notched higher in April to 22.3%, from 22.2% in March.

You write: “He is trying to build up our lower and middle class – the vast majority of our population” Please provide evidence that he has put forth a plan that would accomplish this.

        Best wishes,
        Bob

        Hey doxarabis –
If Oblama’s Birth Certificate is so good-and-proper why did one of his official house lawyers say in a court in New Jersey earlier this week, I think was, that because it is an obviously fraudlent document with forged signature and text problems it can not be used as evidence in that particular hearing? The case was a challenge to him who should be in-a-Slammer-’Bammer getting on the ballot.
Mind you, this was the O’Preszer’s legal rep.

It just is. See my response to Doc Sarvis above re: unemployment.

Thanks for the supporting documentation in your May 9, 1:10 p.m. post directed at Flashy. Your efforts and covering my back are much appreciated.
I think Fahloosschman is a DNC operative, too. He just knows too much, too often, in too great detail to be just a run-of-the-mill doofus on the left. Maybe…hopefully, catch him with his fore-skin peeled back and do a little circ. job.

That is political BS. We have, and are sending MORE troops to countries surrounding Afghanistan. The reduction “in” Afghanistan is a campaign ploy. My son has been notified of deployment to Krygistan leaving in October.

Gordon – Thank you, sir, for your wonderful son, his service and swift safe and successful return.
After reading Doxarabis’ posts for awhile you figure out that he only reads what interests him (which isn’t very broad) or what agrees with him (which isn’t very deep) but he writes about anything and everything…which is his privilege. But don’t expect your answers to his posts to penetrate anything of any depth or cut across anything of any breadth. He’s like Ann Coulter’s chapter in her book “Demonic” where she discusses liberal’s verbal traits. Doc fits that template. He thinks and writes in platitudes and responds in cliches. Like Ann indicates, this programmed response template obviates thought, sidesteps realities and stirs hormones that whip up emotions in an instant toward programmed mob behavior – like in he Bible, Acts 19:21-29. Doc would be yelling, “Great is Diana, etc.” and contributing to filling everything with confusion. It’s a liberal trait.
Doc would never think that “his” Administration wouldn’t conslt him about going to Kyrgizstan, or the African continent or Libya, or places in and around the Reformed Union of Soviet Socialist Republics and Putin youd-d-d-r pbibe ‘n smoge e-eet.

Doc Sarvis says, “President Obama has proposed to reduce the military budget, it is the Republicans in Congress who are fighting that proposal.”

What Obama proposes, and what he does, is very often two different things. As you say he proposes a reduction in military budget, he recently signed the NDAA which increased the military budget.

Doc Sarvis says, “Our President got our combat troops our of Iraq ahead of schedule and has started the drawdown in Afghanistan – combat troops there are to be out by the end of 2014 I believe.”

Then you believe in correctly, as it has recently been said that there are plans to have troops in Afghanistan for a decade or more. He ran on a platform of bring our troops home, yet, shortly after being elected sent thousands more troops to Afghanistan and Pakistan…. and further increased imperialistic conquests across the Middle East as he bombed Yemen, conducted unjustified unilateral military action against a sovereign in Libya, and has his eyes on Syria, Iran, and even China.

Doc Sarvis says, “…bash him if he tries to pull back on our military.

      Won’t hear that from me.

Doc Sarvis says, “Everyone, including President Obama, wants to reduce our debt.”

Yet has nearly doubled the debt in just 3 years

Doc Sarvis says, “Please tell me when President Obama proclaimed that the U.S. could “force its will on the world”. If you listened to President Obama with an open mind you would know that, while we are still a superpower, we have taken a hit; as have many other countries (some more than others) in this global economic downturn.”

I do listen with an open mind, and see the conquests which he expanded over the entire Middle East, which has not helped our economy of debt in search of terrorist boogeymen that we helped create, and we seek to remedy the problem with the same interventionist policies that created the problem in the first place.

Doc Sarvis says, “If you think voting Mitt Romney into the White House will save us you probably are ignoring the fact that he is just a richer version of President Obama. A President Romney will further stick it to the middle class and further concentrate the wealth to just a few.”

I do not think Romney will be any better than Obama.

      • Flashy

TML…interesting thoughts. While i have several questions in re; foreign policy, the one area i don’t have much in question is the ME policy of this admin., ave perhaps the latest Afghan deal…which i’m still thinking through.

Let’s run a short discussion per country.
=Tunisia…US was a behind the scenes player giving moral support to the Spring.
= Egypt..again, moral support, in the open and active in diplomatic circles in convincing Mubarek it was time to leave. Since then, using economic means to play the game and keeping Egypt out of radical Islamic influence.
=Libya. sent in the air power, ctive in information sharing, kept weapons from flowing to Qaddafi supporters. Since then, little or no open intervention or presence. And the result is Qaddafi is no longer around…
=Yemen. Using drones to snuff self proclaimed enemies. That’s bad?
=Syria. Again, getting rid of Assad forwards Arab society in gaining influence over state affairs and puts a huge dent in Hezbollah, Hamas and Iran. no physical presence. That’s bad?
=Iran. Obama has them so tied up a mummy has more freedom to operate. Computer hacking and viruses, shutting down oil ports, working with Israeli ops and the nuke scientists disappearing, economic sanctions tightened to the point of strangulation, and building a coalition of oil reserves to enable the world to operate semi normally should Iran block the Strait of Hormuz. As of yet, no real sabre rattling as it isn’t needed to keep the Iranians in check. Bad?
=Iraq. we’re out and playing the diplomatic and economic game.
=Pakistan. Still trying to figure this one out. Obviously something is going on behind the scenes. I suspect it has to do with India and the recent missile tests sending a message. Obviously there is a major anti-American contingent in their government in Pakistan….and snuffing bin Laden was a calculated risk in international relations.
=Afghanistan. here’s where I’m flummoxed for the moment. The game being played in Afghanistan isn’t just chess…it’s 3D chess with Poker tossed in. Yes….the pact was signed. With Karzai, a corrupt puppet installed by Bush II/Cheney. Notable is the safe passage given by the US to the Taliban to move the engagement of dialogue forward, the troop pull back from major offensive operations, and the dealings with India and Pakistan. My thoughts are solidifying that the 2024 presence is on paper only, and is being used as a card to play in negotiating with the Taliban. Karzai is a non entity, and recognized by everyone as being a necessary presence if only as a tool of realpolitik negotiations. I doubt he’ll survive another year in office, perhaps two..before being given safe passage out. I foresee a coalition government with Taliban presence and we exit quietly to let the Afghans sort it out themselves with everyone starting even up at the gate. And a pledge/warning if they allow anything remotely like a terrorist cell/center to exist … the deal is off.

So..there ya go … preliminary thoughts and opinion in response.

      • TML

Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, Yemen, Syria, Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, Afghanistan… you seem to have admitted, and even support, an imperialist conquest across the Middle East. We could argue all day, with no progress, concerning a subjective judgment of whether these interventions are “good” or “bad”… but, what I would like to draw the debatable question to, is the unintended consequences that more often result from intervention, not only based on the American historic record, but any nation in human history.

“= Tunisia…US was a behind the scenes player giving moral support to the Spring.”

The United States has had good relations for almost 200 years from what I understand, with no treaty of military alliance. Although, typical unconditional support of Israel nearly once damaged that relationship after Israel bombed them, and felt we were involved as well.

“= Egypt..again, moral support, in the open and active in diplomatic circles in convincing Mubarek it was time to leave. Since then, using economic means to play the game and keeping Egypt out of radical Islamic influence.”

More than moral support… we gave financial support to their Military to oust Mubarak and arming the revolutionaries, who, could have held within their ranks the very terrorist we seek. The interventionist ‘economic’ means of playing a game is exactly what draws hatred toward us, and therefore serves no interest to the United States, and again, largely a part of unconditional support and to gain favor of Israel. Has any of this truly kept Islamic influence out of Egypt… a country predominantly Muslim since Saladin in the 3rd Crusade? No… and runs the risk of consequence similar to Iran.

“=Libya. sent in the air power, ctive in information sharing, kept weapons from flowing to Qaddafi supporters. Since then, little or no open intervention or presence. And the result is Qaddafi is no longer around…”

But this was an unjustified unilateral military action… again supporting revolutionaries which, in a Muslim country, could be the very terrorist most Americans fear. Qaddafi, while not my favorite man to say the least, was a sovereign, and had not right, and serves no real interest to the United States. Surely you do not claim to take these actions as part of a greater good, as the theist does, to justify actions counter to the rule of law.

“=Yemen. Using drones to snuff self proclaimed enemies. That’s bad?”

Yes, because there is no rule of law. Using only the information you provide here… The country itself did not proclaim itself an enemy, nor declare war… instead, it was what you might call radical Islamists, speaking freely to proclaim themselves opponents. Is this how we treat protestors, proclaiming themselves enemies of a State? Using drones to snuff them out? Bad? Because it is ignorant of the rule of law and sovereignty of a foreign nation… I say yes, its bad.

“=Syria. Again, getting rid of Assad forwards Arab society in gaining influence over state affairs and puts a huge dent in Hezbollah, Hamas and Iran. no physical presence. That’s bad?”

Again, possible assisting the very ‘radicals’ you fear gaining control, and ousting a sovereign leader because he isn’t a good one. Even that ally Tunisia condemns any intervention by force. I mention these ideas of arming those who could be our enemy, and doing so under the auspices of whatever current interest, because that same kind of intervention is what gave us many current problems. Al-Qaida and Taliban were armed and trained to fight against Russia during their invasion of Afghanistan… we were the liberators come to save the day… and what happened? Hezbollah was created in response the Israel invasion of Lebanon. Hamas also was created in response the Palestine occupation by Israel… and being unconditional supporters of Israel, has brought hatred against us the same as nearly did with Tunisia. Need I say more?

“=Iran. Bad?”

You say these things as if you expect me to think them ‘good’. I don’t. You speak of economic strangulation, etc… without any consideration for the people such action actually effects? It strangles the most innocent people first. Bad? Yes! I’m sure I shouldn’t have to remind you that our over-throw of Mossadegh and the first vestiges of democracy along with him, in order to re-install the Pro-US dictator who ruled them with an iron fist, largely for the sake of oil cemented resentment of the US and created an enemy in the people. But… that’s ok, because he was a Pro-US dictator that mistreated his people, as opposed to one like Qaddaffi, who was no better… he just wasn’t Pro- US, so had to go… right?

“=Iraq. we’re out and playing the diplomatic and economic game.”

Playing the diplomatic game always runs the risk of losing. It is equally possible in this game that those unfriendly to the US could win. After all… we killed over half a million innocent Iraqis to bring them a system we think is best for them, and forced “free” elections upon them, when they never even wanted us there.

“=Pakistan. Still trying to figure this one out. Obviously something is going on behind the scenes. I suspect it has to do with India and the recent missile tests sending a message.”

Pakistan and India are two of the only four countries no party to the Non-Proliferation Treaty (the other two being North Korea and Israel (but it’s ok for Israel because we approve of them right?) … we should let Pakistan and India handle it between themselves. We have no viable interest there except to play the hegemony game, which historically almost always back fires.

“Obviously there is a major anti-American contingent in their government in Pakistan….”

Obviously… and I think we can guess why.

“=Afghanistan. With Karzai, a corrupt puppet installed by Bush II/Cheney.”

        Much like Iran’s Shah, eh?

I find it to be an inescapable fact that playing games with other nations (as you say), interventions, unconditional support, across the named nations of the entire Middle East can be defined as anything short of imperialism, and world conquest.

While you may be in favor of these things, however you would like to rationalize them, they are not policies which reflect the wisdom and founding of this country. Imperialism is not progress, but regression to political ideas of the past which work against the people.

Imperialist policy has not served to the benefits or interest within the United States… and accordingly, all Empires has destroyed themselves the same way.

These policies created the problems we face today, yet are being used to try and fix the problem by both Democrat and Republican alike.

America has been in search of monsters to destroy ever since horrors of Hitler (our last justified war) and accordingly her principle has insensibly changed from liberty to force and has become the dictatress of the world.

The whole article is DELUSIONAL a real right wing propaganda.

Sarah, there are some serious ill people in this forum. You are not one of them – thanks.

Grandpa often said, “Never argue with an idiot, someone watching might not be able to tell the difference”. So why are you on a conservative site arguing with persons whom you consider mentally ill?

I read all of these blogs/forums for amusement. My reaction is to read a comment the 2nd time and think “are you serious? Come on now”.

But anyway, do you really think anyone with any common sense is going to forget what Dubya/Cheney did to us for 8 years? Republicans=horrible.

The insane man always thinks it is the world around him that is insane, not him. Obama is the best president we have had in 50 years. He is not a whore to Big Biz and the Rich like most of his predecessors. Since about 1990 the Rich Right wing has been conditioning the public to believe government is the enemy but the real goal is to keep a government in place that keeps regular people down and the rich and powerful in charge. Obama is not their whore so they are after him big time – why else would they be willing to spend 100′s of millions of dollars to get rid of him? It is an investment in power and monetary return.

Persons who refused to acheive, who refuse to do their best in every area of their situation, who refused to get the best education available to them always complain that others are keeping them down. Wisdom and history teaches that you reap what you have sown. The great social experiement of the 60s has come to fruition. The dope smoking hippies are running this country and their ignorant lazy children and grandchildren are eligible to vote for more socialistic free rides to satiate and perpetuate their valueless existence. Extreme idealism of many conservatives has ushered in a socialistic tsunami and our Nation will suffer for generations to come. God Bless America…… NObama.

      • Dave67

To all the people who say Socialism doesn’t work, that is true, But at the same time, neither does capitalism. Unless you can point to any country that has existed in the industrial and post-industrial revolutions that has been 100% capitalist. You can’t because it NEVER existed. Here is some reality…. Countries like Norway, Sweden, Germany, have a better standard of living than we do, better HC and yet are much more socialist than we are and they did not get sucked into the banking mess that we created. Why? The Gov has to be involved to some degree or another and you can have a valid discussion about how much of each is best.

I heard this said the other day from one who gets an SSI check every month, has free cell phone service (multiple phones), food stamps, free health care and other amenities courtesy of the American Taxpayer. “I like Obama because he gave us a raise on our checks.” This from the same person who once said “All I do is play all day.” Under my breath I’m saying I wouldn’t say that in front of folks who work hard and pay their taxes so that you can get high and play all day.

Let’s see…. “America’s manufacturing jobs began the decline when Reaganomics began and the War On the Middle Class begun in earnest. We crewed it up where the deficit was $63 billion a year to well over $200 billion a year by the time Reagan left office. The largest most massive redistribution of wealth began from the Middle Class to the wealthy and corporate elite. During the next 30 years, we managed to convince America that jobs shipped overseas was a good thing, that we should be a service oriented economy with low wages and low skilled jobs, trash our training programs, trash the unions, enrich our friends and screw things up so bad we hit bottom and came darned close to bringing America another Depression. .

And because Obama can’t straighten it out in three years, and is endangering the gains we made in our War on Middle America….it’s all his fault. ”

That about sums up the real message of the article.

facts are facts….the decline began with Reagan’s war on the Middle Class. Any other analysis is simply ignoring the reality and facts.

      • http://personalliberty.com Redfray

Facist squads’ didn’t stand around in Germany for everyone to see. If you decided to go agaist the the government ideology, they showed up very quickly. If you decided to not follow the wishes of the leader, they showed up very quickly. For sure, there power came from the government.

      • Annie66

Perhaps you should go outside and look around. There are between 170-190 ‘check points’ currently in this nation. TSA thugs are placed at these sites and they are skulking around various cities, Houston is one example, and without warrants they are searching luggage. The lie is that they are seeking terrorists; the truth is that they are preparing the American people for an occupied police state. There are reports of military personnel dressed like police offices lurking, also; this is illegal if indeed it is occurring. The first prison for military veterans is located in Georgia. Veterans, conservatives, constitutionalists, those who oppose open borders and abortions are now classified as terrorists. You have only a limited right to political dissent and your freedom of speech is seriously curtailed. The police state is enabled to detain you indefinitely without due process. The demons called food police are busy and Agenda 21 food policies were designed at the behest of a Nazi convicted of war crimes in Germany. They play to starve on 1 billion people4 to death world wide and to kill another 2 billion by chronic disease related to starvation. Have you ever heard of Fritz ter Meer? The fiends that seek to enslave you will make Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini, Pol Pot, Lenin and all of the other major dictators combined look like choir boys. You might need to rethink your position.

      • http://katrael.wordpress.com Katrael

Flashy, no doubt about it that jobs went over seas but who convinced whom that it was a good idea? Businesses need to make a profit to stay in business and all of those increases in corporate tax burdens and regulations were what convinced them to seek remedies for declining revenues over seas. The average consumer was unwilling to pay higher prices for the products and services they needed so they bought from China, Taiwan and other places where the burdens on business made it possible for them to sell products here cheaper. I see greed on everybody’s part. Now we’re paying the price and Obama only want’s to continue to create more currency, raise taxes and increase government regulations which do nothing but add more cost onto the already artificially high priced American made goods.

We can’t afford the give away programs to the rich, poor or otherwise and people need to get off of their posteriors and go to work. What good is pride when someone is dying of starvation and they can’t get anything to eat?

      • Mike in MI

Maybe not in your town or regions, Michael. But that doesn’t mean his (Obama’s and his employer’s) plans in regard to roving brown shirts are not complete or haven’t been prepared by the people who tell Obama what to do. But, remember, they’ve planned this to be our final election and things could still go wrong regarding the overthrow. So they’re keeping their real surveillance and crowd-control (in brown shirts) forces under the table for now.
But when the power mongers want/need to make the final power grab, they (the surveillance and controllers) be given their chance to go out and hold a good old-fashioned western style round-up. Only, they’ll be looking for certain religious groups (Jews and spirit-filled Christians), recently retired military (Brass and senior Non-coms) and freedom loving Americans (vocal ones first)…cattle and horses need not apply. That’s how they’ll start.
Otherwise, people like you will, as in previous Marxian/Socialistic takeovers, be rewarded for being informants and spies to turn over your neighbors, parents, relatives and anybody who angers you for any (or no) reason. And, people like you will never be bothered by those hated, asocial vermin anymore.
Then, without warning, these nice, “lovi-dovi”, sweetsounding, care and concren about all things soft and cudly, tame and wild, downtrodden and h-e-l-p-l-e-s-s/p-o-o-r/a-l-o-n-e will suddenly become power hungry, lshout in every direction, CONTROL FREAKS. Like you never saw before. Like a si-fi movie in real life. Enjoy yourself -It’ll probably be right up your . . . pantleg.

      • Flashy

Katrael…. you do know that part of the Bush Giveaway to the wealthy (aka Bush Tax Cuts) contained a provision where we subsidize outsourcing of American manufacturing jobs overseas? Instead of targeting industries which will be needed to move forward to the high tech powerhouse of the 21st century, there are Conservative powers criticizing any such move as “wasteful” and insisting we continue subsidizing an energy source over 100 years old? That instead of cutting back on military expenditures…in theory unneeded as the wars wind down…the Conservatives are insisting on cutting student loans (or increasing the interest rate) or having any continuance come from cuts in programs which aid the Middle Class?

Every day the GOP and the Radical Right/TP/American Taliban are kicking you in the teeth and telling you it feels good because it’s screwing the Middle Class and continuing the redistribution of wealth from your pockets to that of the wealthy and Big Corporate elite.

      • http://katrael.wordpress.com Katrael

Flashy, first off I’m for cutting government gratuities to both business and labor. Anything that promotes businesses outsourcing to over seas is bad no matter who does it.

Student loans? Since when should the government be in the student loan business? My opinion is that the government should stop granting student loans and forgive the ones that are out there already.

Programs for the middle class? What programs?

Redistribution of wealth to the rich? All we have to do to solve this problem is to stop gratuity programs of all sorts especially to big business then stop all corporate taxing so that the government can’t hide those taxes in the cost of goods and services the poor pay for and and the cost of products will fall and the poor will be able to buy more. Does anybody out there have the figures on how much tax the average corporation pays already…well I shouldn’t say pays but passes on from the consumer to the government?

        http://smallbusiness.chron.com/average-cost-corporate-taxes-12011.html
        Number of Returns Filed

In 2008, the U.S. Internal Revenue Service received 5,847,221 corporate returns. However, only 3,183,821 of the corporate tax returns showed any net income. The remainder did not have net income and would not be subject to any tax. This means, the corporation did not make any money after subtracting expenses. When putting together a corporate tax return, the corporation starts with how much money it made through sales of goods or services. Then it subtracts out any business expenses to calculate net income. So, 2,663,400 corporations did not make any money after subtracting out expenses in 2008.
        Taxes Paid

In 2008, corporations paid $228,522,752,000 of taxes during the year. This amount was on net income of $1,806,889,716,000. This is an average of $39,082 in taxes paid per corporation for all corporations that filed a return. For corporations that paid taxes, the average tax paid was $71,776.26.

Where did that 228 billion come from? Out of the pockets of the people who bought their goods or services. Business that pay taxes only pass the money from the consumer to the government. You can see how the tax system works. If the business didn’t make a profit it doesn’t have to pay a tax and this is as it should be.

Stop all corporate taxes now. Buy products and services locally and pay more if you have to but stop encouraging big businesses by buying their cheap stuff that only puts local business who can’t compete out of business or stop complaining about big businesses. It’s people like you who go to Walmart and buy their foreign made crap that is causing problems here.

Beware the word”imperial”when spoken by historians.
There is a tendency for revision amongst modern ranks,When your entire curriculum has been engineered by marxists, revision is a necessary tool to make you work out your estimations differently.
Revision is what is used to take the unemployment numbers and make them what they want to see reflected, not necessarily the true numbers.
Statistics can and will be revised to reflect whatever is needed at a given time.
Remember who controls the FCC?Where there is control of information, dont you think that eventually the control over how it is processed will be undertaken? It seems a likely next step in the process of taking control, right?
Or do you imagine that folks who are power hungry, get just enough power, and then they just settle for that much power?
Or is it far more likely that power corrupts, and they seek more eventually?
Stop asking questions and accept what we are saying to you, they chide. All the pertinent information has been provided by us they state.
You have been provided with entire networks of information that seems coherent, right?
So why are you asking questions?
In an effort not to be blindsided Logans Run style,by “going along to get along”you have gone on a search for the mythical”Sanctuary.”Your past is chasing you like some maniacal former associate that wants to see you dead for discovering the truth.
This revisionist thinking can go on in perpetuity, while you live carelessly under the dome of media/academia protection. The utopian society ushers in a sense of pupose and life regardless of the need to ponder why it is that way.You stopped asking questions, and did what you were told to do.Living under the dome is a refreshing new thing.
You were trained your whole life to go with the latest fad, correct? So this is just the latest, greatest, thing to do,so just settle in for whatever is in store for you.It is really for the better of mankind that we proceed into the future with open minds, right?
Nobody told you that if you run around open-minded all the time, that your brains might fall out.But you were so busy doing what you were told that you left them where they fell and proceeded to get on with the procedure.
In an effort to seem like you are with the new trend, you go along to get along, never pondering whether it is a good ideology to conscript,or a poor one.
You didnt realize the armband tattoo that you got for your birthday maked you as a follower, not as a trend-setter.How easily are you identified, when the sandman comes hunting for you?Do you possess an easily identifiable mark?In the age of information, just how much do you broadcast about yourself, without need for search?
I am one who doesnt care what the authorities want to do to me.I have no place in their euphoric utopia,so I broadcast my folly, because its the one rebel part of me that wont go away.
Some consider themselves smart.I do not consider myself smart, because I know that the only true wisdom I have comes from God.If he is my source then it is He that deserves the accolades when I learn something. Some folks make much ado about nothing in an effort to SEEM smart.
But insight and wisdom do not originate from the places they assume it comes from.
So they get lost under the dome, living in euphoria,by utopian rule.
When they come streaming out of the wreckage of willful ignorance to see the wonderful past that is there for their enrichment, then, and only then, they can proceed into the future.
    Past Present Future.
    The law of threes.

cawmun cents, you said “Or do you imagine that folks who are power hungry, get just enough power, and then they just settle for that much power?” That is a great question. I watch a movie about Custer’s Last Stand and it was supposed to be at least partially based on facts. In the beginning Custer was sympathetic to the Indian problems but when he found out that he stood a good chance of being elected to office his methodology changed. Now it was time to persecute the Indians to make him look good. We all know the outcome of Custer’s Last Stand whether the story above is actually true or not. I just liked the lesson in it and thought that it confirms your point.

I feel that there are few who have the strength of character to avoid abusing the power they get. I see those in our Criminal Government who are drunk on their power. You can’t force a drunk not to want to drink but you can force him not to drink. The only way for a drunk to reform is to want to stop on his own. I don’t see our government drunks giving up their power since it’s fun being drunk.

The future of our nation is dismal, this we all know. Even so, are we totally unable to see what must be done? Can we truly come together – unite – into one overwhelming mass of vote that will in the end reward us with at least a buffer zone of time to start a very proud and strong return to that which we once were? There is so much more to accomplish but if we allow this well disguised Marxist to stay in office, what then? What limits would he then have on his “flexibility”? Are we to merely sit around and grumble our displeasure in what we know shall follow soon after? Or are we going to follow through with that that we know is right? As was once said – “we mutually pledge to each other our lives, fortunes and sacred honor.” Are we willing to pledge the same today? I AM!! I DO!! If we don’t then the freedom to talk, debate and even argue as we do here will slip away as fast as the words we type.

    • simian_pete

      Sirian,
Aren’t you being a bit dramatic ? HA HA !!!

      John Myers,

It seems, realistically, the alternate energy “faction” has taken over some control of the Federal Government. So part of the “trend” will probably be Solar Power, Wind Power and Hydrogen fuel. I’m skeptical to a degree of this trend’s success. It seems the politicians just want the alternate fuel advocates “vote” …

So we are coming into 2012 with Mitt Romney as the front runner. The possibility of Ron Paul finally winning at the Republican Convention is generating much suspense !

Mr. Obama has over a billion dollars for his re-election campaign. We haven’t heard from the “Build a burgers” (Bildergers(?)) yet on who will finally be chosen for the presidency … I think the meeting will be held at the end of this month into the first week of June ?

      What’s my point ?
      1) If Ron Paul loses the nomination the head repubs will get what they want, Romney as a candidate.

      2) Some Ron Paul repubs will vote for Romney – but not enough for him to win.

      3) Obama wins by a landslide ….

My point is – “What’s in it for me ?” and the answer I hear is – “Nothing good, just more rief ! ”

So I’m just going to do my best to GET READY TO SURVIVE A VERY TOUGH 4 MORE YEARS OF OBAMA !!! HA HA !!

Thank you American Voters ! Have a nice day !

      • simian_pete

That word “rief” was suppose to be “grief” as in “Nothing good, just more GRIEF” …. I hope you all aren’t thinking “rief” as in “reefer”. Ha HA !

Liked your post and thought you’d appreciate the following “Economic Alert”. And don’t most of US awakened, clear-thinking, reality-based individuals know that BHO is only the current Republikrat POTUS chosen for 2 X 4 year terms by The Powers That Shouldn’t Be a.k.a Judeo-Christian Rothschild Zionists?

Economic Alert: If You’re Not Worried Yet…You Should Be

All indicators suggest that this year will be unlike any other before. In 2008, we saw the first trigger events for the collapse. In 2008/2009, we saw the creation of the bailout culture, setting the stage for inflation and dollar disintegration. In 2010, we saw the first bilateral trade deal cutting out the dollar between China and Russia, which is now the template for trade deals all over the globe. In 2011, we saw the first downgrade of the U.S. credit rating and the crisis in the EU become epidemic. In 2012, I see not just another difficulty to add to the mountain, but a culmination of all these detriments to produce something entirely new; a vast and subversive realignment forcing many of us to take a more aggressive stance in the fight for an economically and socially free America.

Financial disasters have always been a convenient catalyst for a host of even more frightening obstacles, including civil unrest, and blatant totalitarianism. This is the cusp. It is one of those moments that people of later generations read about in awe, and sometimes horror. The “doom” is not in the event, but in the response. What we make of the days approaching determines the darkness that they cast upon the future. It is a test. It is not something to be dreaded. It is something to be seized upon, and dealt with, as great men and women before us have done. At the very least, we know that it is coming. That, in itself, could well seal our success…

JT you are a Monkey loving idiot. Zero corporate tax rate will bring home the jobs and a fair tax will get income tax from the 50% who pay none. The jobs will pay folks like you a good and fair living and if you are smart enough to try your best at something and stick to it you can become a business owner with profits. The money will flow like wine and the charitible good people in America will take great care of the disabled. But if you are not disabled get a fricking job loser.

      • http://katrael.wordpress.com Katrael

Johnny Thomas, I don’t know why I thought of this while reading your comment but there is plenty of work to do; we just have to be willing to do it. I’ve got plenty to do here and if you’ll come help me I’ll provide three hots and a cot.

Doesn’t that mother working at the canning factory receive her check for her work as agreed? I have a problem with people who claim that someone is being robbed when they are getting what they agreed to. I don’t disagree that maybe she should be paid a higher wage but she agreed to what she gets and BTW our big brother the criminal government system takes the biggest bite out of her pay far out of proportion to what it should. It’s big gov’s fault that she can’t put shoes on her babies feet. If the gov allowed her to keep the other half she earned she could have plenty of things she currently doesn’t have. Please spread the blame around to all that deserve it.

Do you ever look at your pay check stubs to see where a lot of your hard earned currency is going to? It’s ok for the criminal government to take her currency so she can’t feed and cloth her children but it’s evil for the business to pay her what she agreed to? I can’t figure out how people look at things?

What’s this more equal basis stuff? Should someone sweeping a floor get paid the same as somebody putting shingles on a roof who takes his life in his hands every time he steps out on a roof? What equal about that? Should a police person get paid the same as a janitor or a teacher as a dishwasher in a restaurant? Get off this equal stuff.

Have you ever run a business? Do you work for someone? Why should a worker who goes home after work to eat and sleep be paid better than the owner of the business who put up his resources and took the risk of failure and put far more effort into his business by working long hours to provide you with a guaranteed wage have to give up the benefits of his initiative to someone who has no appreciation for the effort he put out?

The problem is that your jealous of rich people and want to steal their wealth even if they did everything correctly to get that wealth. Don’t you work and feel entitled to do what you want with what you have or do you want somebody to come in your home and tell you what to do with what you have?

And the reason the rich are getting richer: because you buy their cheap crap instead of the more expensive stuff that is made here in the good ole USA by smaller businesses. I’ll bet you even shop at Walmart?

recent rasmussen poll shows Obama and Ron Paul tie at 42%… shows if obama runs against mitt with RP as 3rd party, he steals more from Obama who gets 39% and Mitt who gets 47%… I think if you pin RP against Obama he wins… This is why the establishment wont let Mitt beat Obama one on one… wont happen becuz they want this fool for 4 more years.. he is doing a great job for them, great charismatic liar…Unbelievable how stupid people are to beleive his BS… look at all the women and children he is killing with DRONES in the Arab countries forcefeeding our DEMOCRACY LIES… its nuts

    • David169

      Sirian,
I like a lot of other people are willing to do what ever is necessary to heal our country. This article articulates the gradual downfall of our economy. I suggest everyone look at those dates and look at how and when the burden of entitlements was placed on the productive sector. I don’t know how much we have spent trying to make the poor able to join the middle class but it is many trillions of dollars. It has been a total failure because the poor are still poor and so much has been spent on them the middle class has been financially gutted. Any money that is spent on any entitlement takes that money from someone who produces more than they consume. Those on entitlements consume more than they produce. Unfortunately our short sighted government has raised the bar on entitlements so high our nation is now consuming more that it produces and running huge deficits so cowardly politicians can appease their constituants with an ever greater amount of entitlements. We need to reverse this last 40 years spending money trying to fix a problem that cannot be fixed with money.
Also I don’t put any faith in this coming election. Tell me how we ended up with a Spanish firm tallying our ballots and using a system that provides no possible recount. I believe the election is rigged and whoever anyone votes for will be a vote tallied to Obama.

      • http://www.mototcarsfinancial.com Brad

David169, I fear you are correct

      • http://katrael.wordpress.com Katrael

David169, you’re right and the real issue is that there is no amount of money that you can give to a poor person to raise him to middle class. Most people waste what is merely given to them because they don’t appreciate it. True middle class people and even some rich ones worked for what they have.

As you say, the problem can’t be fixed with money because it’s a problem of ideology and not purely one of economics. The problem can’t be fixed until people decide to become responsible. All entitlements will have to go away and people will have to take on work even if it seems menial and demeaning. It took work and cooperation to take us to greatness it’ll take more of the same to take us back there.

      • David Deal

JeffH & Brad & most of the rest of you had your minds made up about Obama before he was ever elected and nothing he did was going to change taht. Johnny Thomas is the ONE voice of reason here. When I read in the article the part calling Obama a war monger essesntially I was aghast at how far some people would stretch reality. Obama is doing his best to frag our ASS out of these COSTLY military entanglements which are 1/3 of our budget problem as we spend 31% of our money on militarty and veteren benefits. Another 1/3 is the loss of revenue dring Reagan and two Bush administrations as well as the Bush TEMPORARY tax cuts Obama has been forced to live with. Until we restore proper taxation on the wealthy and get out of war our debt will continue to rise. There are not enough cuts to make elsewhere to make the necessary difference and they would all hurt the ones who need help the most.

      • Buster the Anatolian

“Obama is doing his best to frag our ASS out of these COSTLY military entanglements …”

Lybia, Yemen, Pakistan, making war like talk about Iran, dropping hints about war with Syria yeah obama is reducing our military involvement sure he is after all you said he was so it must be true NOT.

      • Buster the Anatolian

Oh by the way i forgot to mention our military is in a couple of African nations as well don’t remember which ones right off.

      • http://pweiters9.wordpress.com pweiters9

5/11/12, The dirtbag’s going to lose. BO’s got nothing to run on, so his handlers throw up this gay smokescreen in a hurry.

      • madmemere

David, you are correct, in that we cannot, possibly, get an “honest”election count from SCYTL- -their CEO (Valles) was one of obama-soetoro’s “larger campaign contributors” in ’08! I’ve been advising everyone, who will listen, to sign up for an absentee ballot- -this is a “mail-in paper ballot” that is “hand counted” and reported locally – -it leaves a “paper trail”! By doing this, we can side-step SCYTL completely.
People on other patriotic websites, that I belong to, tell me I’m “being delusional and no such thing is about to happen”! They try to tell me I’m “discouraging people from voting”! I wish I were “delusional” and all of this would just “go away”, but we both know that is NOT going to happen. If we want our country back and we want to get rid of this impostor, then we WILL have to fight all the way to the ballot box!

I’m with ya cowboy! Well said Sirian!!!

      • http://katrael.wordpress.com Katrael

Tom W. I’ve watched 9 or the thirteen parts so far and I’m just fascinated with what I see. This confirms what I’ve long believed: that Satan won’t have to do anything overtly because he’s covertly convinced much of mankind to kill itself off. I don’t feel like Satan want’s our worship as much as he wants our destruction and he’ll do that any way he can.

Gen 3:1 Now the serpent was more subtilH6175 than any beast of the field which the YHWH Elohim had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath Elohim said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

See that word subtil? This is what it means:

        H6175
        ערוּם
        ‛ârûm
        aw-room’
Passive participle of H6191; cunning (usually in a bad sense): – crafty, prudent, subtil.

Part of my dictionary definition says that the word subtle (same word as above only this is the modern spelling) means: operating insidiously.

What a master stroke: he convinces Adam, the female one (the one who everybody calls Eve and who was the one that Adam, the male one renamed Chawwah) to separate herself from YHWH voluntarily and to throw away her chance at everlasting life. Satan wants the throne of YHWH and he saw that mankind would inherit the Kingdom of YHWH then it would be impossible for him to take over the kingdom. He hates us and wants to eliminate us as a potential threat. Thankfully there was a redemption plan from the beginning. Hallelujah. Here’s something about Eve.

Gen 3:20 And Adam called his wife’s name EveH2332; because she was the mother of all living.

        H2332
        חוּה
        chavvâh
        khav-vaw’
Causative from H2331; lifegiver; Chavvah (or Eve), the first woman: – Eve.

Gen 5:2 Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.

        YHWH named them both Adam.

Anyway, now Satan has pulled of a coup de grace by convincing people that acting like animals is appropriate and that they should murder their children all the while he’s betting that most of them will die off before they have the chance to repent and ask for forgiveness.
