Police State Mitt Romney

May 7, 2012 by

Police State Mitt Romney
UPI
Mitt Romney said he would have signed the National Defense Authorization Act.

A vote for Mitt Romney is a vote for the overreaching homeland security initiatives put in place by the George W. Bush Administration Department of Homeland Security.

According to reports, the Presidential candidate was instrumental in helping to create some of the most controversial safety initiatives put into place by the Bush Administration in the years following the attack on the World Trade Centers in New York.

According to the Huffington Post, during his tenure as Governor of Massachusetts, Romney issued executive orders to set up two of the Nation’s first fusion centers — the intelligence hubs where vast amounts of Americans’ personal data is analyzed by law enforcement agencies — in his State.

Romney’s security record makes it seem that he believes that everyone is essentially guilty until proven innocent, which is largely in line with current Department of Homeland Security policy.

In a September 2005 speech to the Heritage Foundation, Romney gave Americans a good idea about what the security state might be like under his Administration by advocating wiretaps in mosques and churches when he uttered the words: “Are we monitoring that? Are we wiretapping? Are we following what’s going on?”

Earlier in the campaign, Romney also let Americans know that he is in line with President Barack Obama on issues such as the National Defense Authorization Act, which makes possible the capture and indefinite detainment of American citizens.

“Yes, I would have,” said Romney when asked during a debate whether he would have signed the legislation, as Obama did. “…I recognize that in a setting where they are enemy combatants and some of them on our own soil, that could be abused. There are lots of things I think this president does wrong — lots of them — but I don’t think he will abuse this power, and if I were president I would not abuse this power.“

Romney knows the power of police state tactics in protecting the elite. The director of operations of his 2008 Presidential campaign, Jay Garrity, was placed on a paid leave of absence in 2007 while the authorities investigated accusations that he impersonated a State trooper in Massachusetts and harassed reporters that were following the campaign by pulling them over.

Garrity worked on planning events for the campaign and also helped control access to Romney.

How many times during the election run off w/ Bush and obummer was religion brought up .. It was un American to keep reminding us that obummer was a commie or islam . How many times did they show obummer giong to rev Wright’s church? very slowly allowing islam to be used to show who obummer is. Now all those that just love obummer the islam cant say enough negative toward Mormanism. Mormans do not have such things as seria law and jehad for the infadel , but look at how many people just worship obummer. That same group will embrace voodooism if obummer so states that as his religion . but God forbid ,.. a Morman?

  • http://PLA FRENCHIE

1st) FORGET ABOUT RELIGION ENTIRELY. MORE PEOPLE HAVE BEEN KILLED IN THE NAME OF GOD THAN FOR ANY OTHER REASON, SO “RELIGION” DESERVES NO PEDESTAL AT ALL. 2nd) LOOK AT THE CANDIDATE & WHAT HE SAYS HE STANDS FOR. 3rd) REALIZE THAT IF MITT ROMNEY GETS THE NOMINATION, WE’RE ALMOST JUST AS SCREWED AS IF obama HAD WON. MITT IS CONTROLLED BY THE SAME BIG MONEY BACKERS AS obama. GEORGE SOROS EVEN SAID HE’D BE FINE WITH ROMNEY AS PRESIDENT. THAT SHOULD SET OFF ALARM BELLS RIGHT THERE !!! obama HAS TO GO, YEAH, BUT WHAT GOOD IS IT REALLY GOING TO DO TO SWITCH THE LEFT HAND FOR THE RIGHT HAND OF THE SAME MONSTER ? AND WE’RE RIGHT BACK TO THE OLD “LESSER OF TWO EVILS” CRAP WE’RE TRYING TO ESCAPE IN THE FIRST PLACE. JEEZ….. LOOK, I HELD MY NOSE & VOTED FOR McCAIN, HOPING FOR THE BEST LAST ELECTION KNOWING FULL WELL IT WAS JUST A “LESSER OF TWO EVILS” CHOICE. WELL, I’M DONE WITH & OVER CHOOSING THE LESSER EVIL. • 45caliber

And a vote for Oblama isn’t a vote for the same thing??

  • cecil Klein

Cecil Klein, I think, after reading all the stuff here on this blog……whether you are Christian, Muslim, Mormon or otherwise……You have forgot who is in control of this world..God sent his Son Jesus Christ to die for us, (or in other words)…gave us the option to choose life or death. He is in control what happens here in this world….Satan is the counterfeit, there will always be good/bad until Jesus comes. The bottom line is to be ready to meet our Savior Jesus Christ….and He is coming soon!!!! Don’t get caught up in the rif of the world, just be prepared to meet the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. “Lord I pray for the Holy Spirit to come and dwell in our hearts to help us be ready to meet you and go home to Heaven and live eternally with you.” That is our Hope today. God bless you all. PS….Yes pray over your earthly decisions and God will not fail your decisions.

  • Calonzap

An attempt to keep American citizens safe IS NOT to say that anyone is guilty until proven innocent. That’s the biggest crock of bull manucia I’ve ever heard. I’d rather have a Mormon running the country than a muslim. Remember, a vote for Ron Paul is a vote for obama. Vote against obama, not for him.

    • r.p.

A vote for anybody except Dr. Paul is a vote for treason. You parrot the liberal/RINO mantra good, but it’s been over used.

    • r.p.

“The president is not supposed to keep us safe, the 2nd amendment is what is supposed to keep us safe.” <—- Ron Paul, from his speech at Texas A&M April 2012

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1473623846 George Thomas Horvat

OK; now that you have made that accusation and I have to presume that you actually know what you are talking about! What the hell do we do about it? Who do you suggest we vote for? Are you saying; better the dictator we know than the one we don’t?
I get a kick out of all you geniuses who kepp telling us what’s wrong but “never” tell us what you think we should do about it!

    • Average Joe

That’s it…they tell us what they’re against…but never what they are for…Are they really “for” anything? Do they have any moral convictions? Beliefs? Values? Gotta wonder about these folks…..

      I’m for a better America
I’m for the Constitution and the Bill of Rights
I’m for the rule of law
I’m for treating my neighbors the way I’d like to be treated
      I’m for Ron Paul

      What are they for?

      • boone1

THE demorats/Rinos are for communists, socialists, maxists, theirs over 120 people in the house and senate that are eigher for communists, socialists,or maxists.Ron Paul is the man mitt Romney and his son got caught running a ponzing scheme in 2009 you don’t think that, that won’t come up this year you bet it will everything that Romney has done is going to come back and bite him in the butt big time.Thats why we need RON PAUL NOTHING CAN COME BACK ON HIM NO FAURD NOTHING.If the GOP want to win than RON PAUL IS THE MAN

    • r.p.

Join your local C4L chapter, support Ron Paul, take a very close look at your district representatives before you support them, educate your fellow citizens and friends, and pray to your maker for some guidance. If you’re going to put your boots on the ground, this is a good place to start with a copy of our constitution in hand…….

  • http://wildblue bob seymour

A vote against Romney is a vote for B.O.!! We can’t let that happen

    • TML

If Gary Johnson (L) and Ron Paul (I) both run in the general election… would you then say a vote for either of them is a vote for Obama also?

You argue cum hoc ego propter hoc, ad nauseum

    • Average Joe

Are you voting for the party…or are you voting for president? Mitt= McLame 2. The man simply has too much baggage to go the distance against O.
There is only one man that has consistantly won in polls against the O h no…and that man is Ron Paul…who, BTW, doesn’t have any baggage…he travels light….(and doesn’t charge it to the taxpayers).
A vote for Ron Paul…is a vote FOR AMERICA
A vote for anyone else…..is traitorous…plain and simple.

    • Jody L

I’m voting for Ron Paul. Period. Want to beat Obama? Then chose the correct nominee, period! NOW let’s see who really believes your argument!

      • John Wilch (TSgt, USAF Ret.)

JL, Paul has vertually suceeded to Romney the other day by suspending his campaign in the states that he feels will not be voting for him. Furthermore, the man scares me to much to even consider voting for him. As Lucinda said earlier do you want a Race-bater, a socialist/Marxist and more failed policies or do you want some one who will try and bring us back from the brink of total collapse.

Also, I want some one who knows when to let a business collapse and when to help it out. Also, I want some one who will not bow down to a two-bit Dictator/Tyrant; so I feel that right now that man is Mitt Romney. Oh, I was for Rick Santorum but when he withdrew I decided that Mitt was my man.

GOD BLESS THE US OF A and MAY SHE REIGN FOREVER!

  • e1313ruth

If you do not vote for Romney you will have to vote for a muslim…..Muslims are liars and killers and blasphemers…Mormons are peaceful honorable people….even if their rfeligion is wrong….
As I see it there is no other choice….
As for Huff Post, it is a filthy lying antichrist rag that bows at Obama’s throne….

As for the author of this article how much did the dims pay you…

  • rkz777

I know that romney is just another player in the group that stands with hobama.i’ve said all along that the socialist play both sides of the isle, and place their candidates in the mix, so that either way they have a chance of having one of their people win. but it doesn’t matter, if one of theirs doesn’t pull through, the ballot box will be stuffed with fraudulent votes just as it was for hobama. and that’s the truth about it all, a bunch of thugs. The socialist power is here in America, we are already under their grasp and no one wants to admit it.

Remember Warren Jeff’s keep in mind, his doctrine came from the same ideology, as Mitt Romney, and with Jeff’s as we all know had sex with many young women, some as young as 13, all the while the cults family mothers, allowed this behavior, even had secret bedroom, to do their dirty deed’s, yes. The Mormons are a cult.

    • http://folkartist.wordpress.com Libertytrain

good grief – there’s always a creep or two in every religion – bad, creepy, lousy people are tucked away everywhere – you know that as well.

      • Sarah

Hello train wreck read the blog again, yes I know there are a lot of perverts out there, but like I said Mitt Romney gets his same ideology, from the same doctrine, you both missed the train, choo choo.

      • http://folkartist.wordpress.com Libertytrain

Goodness that was certainly an “intellectual” reply. Are you a grownup?

    • blondefury

Good Grief Sarah… Get your facts straight…Warren Jeff was the president of the FUNDAMENTALIST Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (FLDS Church). that is totally different from the Mormon church. Just because the liberal media showed the Mormon office building in Salt Lake City while reporting on the Warren case who was in west Texas-He was also wanted in Utah as well, which is why he fled…doesn’t mean he was a Mormon. Don’t be caught up in their lies… read woman read… As Glen Beck states- “Educate Yourself” Again Sarah- Warren Jeff has Nothing to do with the Mormon church- and yes I agree with libertytrain- there’s creeps in all religions..

      • Sarah

Hello read the blog again, I said he gets his ideology from the same doctrine, and its true.

  • dave

    anybody except obama

    • dufas magnet

“anybody but obama”.. How about Ron Paul dave? You behind us on him or are your rebel yells a continuation for him as well? “Anybody ELSE but Paul”.. Be honest now.. Anybody but Obama opens the door for Ron Paul and not specifically your munch buddy Mittens.. so, maybe you should rephrase that Neo-’CON’ chant.

      • boone1

I’M WRITING IN RON PAUL THE HELL WITH MITT ROMNEY HE IS NOTHING BUT A RINO COMMIE LIKE BUSH.

      • tncdel

BEWARE OF OBAMA PAID-BLOGGERS MASQUERADING AS RON PAUL SUPPORTERS, WHO URGE OTHERS TO EWRITE IN FOR RON PAUL SO AS TO HELP OBAMA GET A 2ND TERM.

      • BigBadJohn

        tncdel

It is all about NO CHOICE – Obama or Romney – give me a break. IF Obama had done what he promised to do he would be a slam dunk – but he proved himself to be just another lying puppet of the military industrial complex.

Ron Paul is the ONLY choice.

      • John Wilch (TSgt, USAF Ret.)

BBJ, Ron Paul scares the hell out of me. I like some of his domestic policies, but his foreign policies are just plain dumb. He wants to pull all our troops out and close all our bases overseas that is just assinine: you don’t close your eyes and ears to the actions of our enemies no matter where they happen to be. I talk from experience, one of my duties while in the military was a Scout (19D30: Armored Recon Specialist). Those bases are acting as our eyes and ears and we need them.

I’m casting my vote for Romney, he believes a strong defence and a strong economy.
Furthermore, he won’t bow and scrape to every two-bit Dictator or Tyrant like Obummer has done. Obummer has lied to the American people (like the story of the boy who cried wolf) so much that nobody knows which side of his mouth to believe. Our enimies are laughing at us because they think and believe that we are weak.

We need to rememember what Teddy R. said “Carry a big stick and walk softly.” or even what Ronny R. said: “Trust but variefy.”

GOD BLESS AMERICA and MAY SHE REIGN FOREVER!

  • http://Willis Jeff

A little reactionary! Romney represents business as usual. He may have faults. But he is not a Communist! That’s our alternative.

    • MAP

Jeff, that is something we will have to determine once all the lies are through and we watch him in action. Is he a neocon puppet, like Bush before him? The neocons are followers of Trotsky and basically control the Republican Party. I, for one, don’t feel at all relieved.

  • Bob McMahan

Right. Look, it is either Mitt or Barry. Mitt was not my choice, by a long shot, but that train has left the station. Folks that are still dredging up what is wrong with Mitt are not thinking clearly about what an Obama Supreme Court will look like.

    • http://- Connie

You are absolutely right Bob, what would another four more years of Obama get us?
I would vote for a rock before I would vote for him.

      • http://none America’s Last Chance

Cute analogy but a rock doesn’t listen either. What we need is not a president who thinks he knows best but a president who will pick the best people for the positions needed to keep our ship of state from sinking. We also need a new congress. The old one, especially the senate, can’t even fulfill the Constitutional mandate to have a yearly budget. The House has sent dozens of bills to the Senate and there they languish. We need a new president, but even more we need a new Senate!

    • http://none America’s Last Chance

Yes, if Obama and the Progressives get to pack the Supreme Court that will be it for the USA and freedom as we have known it. Already they have put two liberals on the court. It’s sad that the court is as politicized as it is but can we expect more out of our leaders we do out of ourselves? A nation’s leaders tend to reflect the people who elect them. Only a return by the citizens of this nation to the morality of the founders of this nation can save this nation that was founded on Biblical principles. It was the principles of the Bible (not those of varying interpretations) upon which this nation was founded. There are many who hate God, and hate religion although God is not the most religious being in the Universe (the Devil has that honor) and some of them have power in this country because we have not countered them with the light of truth, but the mediocrity of relativism.

All religions of men are not equal. The Mormon church teaches errors just as do many other man made denominations but it is the heart of people that God looks at, what you do with what you know. I could never be a Mormon because the book I value (The Bible) says not to listen to any other gospel than the one that Jesus gave us, and one of the things the New Covenant or New Testament says is that even if an angel from Heaven comes with a different gospel not to listen. Apparently Joseph Smith and Mohammed did listen. However that doesn’t mean that all Mormons or Muslims are evil, only mistaken.

We are not electing a saint to the presidency but a man (and someday a woman). The ravings of atheists and those who want to be their own god, a move that reduced the most brilliant being that God ever created, into a lawless shadow of his former self, an ego centric being who still believes that he is god – well such will be the fate of all those who knowingly oppose truth and real justice, not the “socialized justice” of the Marxists.

We were once a great nation. We did great things. We haven’t fallen from the precipice yet but we are perilously close. The time for petty bickering is over. The time for prayer is NOW! We were once believers. Some still are, and it is on their shoulders that the fate of this nation depends. Only prayer to the loving Father of us all, can stop the eventual demise of this nation. Our ship of state is already lisping so sharply that only a divine miracle can save us from greater suffering than is already inevitable – the tripling of the price of food (and fuel as the progressives want so badly) will hurt not just the poor but the middle class as well. Only the fervent prayers of the righteous, for God to take action in the hearts of men to save this nation, can save it. Since those who hate freedom and God don’t believe in prayer it is up to those who believe to take up the slack. All those who believe must cry out to the one and only God, the great “I am that I am” who spoke to Moses, that His will be done on his nation and all the world.

I have written about the coming financial crisis for 22 years now and it has begun. A decade ago 200 to 300 thousand people year left the country each year but in the last couple of years it appears that number has increased to a couple of million per year who are leaving. A decade ago nearly 100,000 millionaires somehow vanished from the United States in a single year, yet for the vast majority, I don’t think it will do any good to leave in the long run. God is preparing not just to chastise the United States but the world. There are those who say God is not doing all this that we are doing it to ourselves. Since some of these are people I respect I can only tell you what I heard when I was praying. It was a voice that was as strong as steel: MY HAND OF JUDGEMENT WILL STRETCH FOR AND ALL WILL FEEL IT, SOME MUCH MORE THAN OTHERS. FEAR NOT!

Since I don’t want to feel what is coming as sharply as some will, I endeavor to seek God while He may be found. He will never turn His back on those who love Him but he will not hear the prayers of the unrighteous and those who knowing choose the “dark side”. We must not go “Forward” into further darkness but all who believe in the true God of the Universe need to put aside petty differences and unite to face the greater enemy who would enslave us all. The choice is ours. God help us!

      • Steve

Ok, so let me get this straight. You say Joseph Smith, a fourteen year old boy, can’t receive revelation and follow the direction to a place where records were stored, can’t be given them by an angel, can’t translate the language according to and under the direction of deity, and start a legitimate church by divine instruction; and yet a few paragraphs latter you personally hear the voice of direction. Maybe you ought to ask the right question.

You seem studied so you also probably know about the council where politics of government ruled what was published in the BIBLE and what was not. That was so we would all have the unity of view and would not have any dissention among the many churches of the time. From that you probally understand that true doctrine was changed for political reasons.

You may also read one of the even latter versions of the Bible with the NEW prefix. And yet stand on the fact that you can’t have a new book that tells you anything. HUM! Seems like the Mormons are about 14 million strong, world wide now and growing, and you are how many? 1? Keep talking I am really leaning toward you point of view.

For the rest of the readers,

Here is an interesting little exercise that can be applied to find out where someone is on the subjects. Take a piece of paper and draw a line down the middle of it.

Imagine your favorite image of Christ standing at the top of the line looking at you face forward with his arms stretched out to his sides. He is facing you so his right hand is on the left and the left hand in on the right of the page.

Now grab your Bible and find the Ten Commandments.

List them on the left side of the page.

Now look at any law or political point of view in question.

Compare that to the corresponding principal (a commandment) you wrote down.

        As an example:

Thou shall not kill. VS Abortion on request.

Or, Thou shall not covet VS those rich guys should have to pay more. It’s not fair!

Or, how about thou shall not bear false witness VS the attack slander against Romney’s security guard.

You get the idea I am sure. Now go to Matt chapter 25- verse 33 -46 and find out what he says about where you will be at the end of time. King James Version is best for my meaning here. Here is the big question! Do you want to be a sheep or a goat? Bottom line it will matter when you leave this world.

In case you don’t know it, this battle is a world battle and is about only one thing. Like it or not it is about who will follow Christ and be on his right hand and who will not. That decision is always your choice, always just moment by moment and day by day. I Hope you make a good one. It would seem that it is the most important choice you can make.

Ron Paul has won the majority of delegates in 7 states now so we are on the way!

    Ron Paul 2012 or BU$T !!

Ron Paul won 20 of 24 delegates in Minnesota so he can still be a player and influence which direction Romney goes towards.

There will be nothing but fraud in the 2012 election and obama will win and Romney won’t even come close to beating him youwait and see.Ron Paul is the only man that can beat obama.End of story.

  • mickey2

The most important thing you can do this election is to pay attention to the part of the ballot for “delegates”. If you know they are RPers, vote only for them. i.e., the ballot says vote for “no more than 18″ and only 5 are RPs, then vote only the 5.

We are winning the “delegate” race. We need all the RPers going to state conventions and then on to nationals.

Ron Paul has already won the majority in 5 states (required) to be on the ballot. We need the delegates to sweep the nationals for the nominee.

Also check after the primarey to see if there are available delegate positions still open. Then volunteer to pay the fee. Then sign up–the local RNC chair assigns these. You sign up as a republican, not a RPer.

  • Vigilant

Mr. Rolly says, “Romney knows the power of police state tactics in protecting the elite. The director of operations of his 2008 Presidential campaign, Jay Garrity, was placed on a paid leave of absence in 2007 while the authorities investigated accusations that he impersonated a State trooper in Massachusetts and harassed reporters that were following the campaign by pulling them over.

“Garrity worked on planning events for the campaign and also helped control access to Romney.”

Now THAT’S what I call dirty pool! How about “the rest of the story,” Mr. Rolley?

    From http://www.politico.com/blogs/jonathanmartin/0208/Jay_Garrity_did_NOT_make_that_phone_call_.html

“Per AP’s Glen Johnson, the local DA in Boston has decided not to bring charges against former Romney body guy Jay Garrity.

“As many of you will recall, Garrity was thought to have impersonated a state trooper in a phone call that got wide coverage last summer.

“But apparently there is no evidence that he did so and actually much that it wasn’t him.”

Using this non-fact to imply that Romney is a statist is not quite in accord with your bio above that says, “He is dedicated to seeking the truth and exposing the lies disseminated by the mainstream media at the behest of their corporate masters, special interest groups and information gatekeepers.”

  • sesame

As long as the power is there it will eventually be abused, if not by Obama or Romney, someone will come along to abuse it because its on the books.

So, your saying we’re screwed no matter who gets in? A true pessimist for sure. R.P. wants to eliminate big g’ment.. How corrupt is that? Is he wanting to do this in order to take over America? Both the other dipwads want to.. R.P. wants to rip away fed power and return it to the States.. What do the others want? Do your homework. HOPE for a better tomorrow, don’t fall into the 12/21/2012 pit wherein lies the worst of the worst scenarios (and consequently exactly what the elites are giddy about).

It is obvious that you didn’t think out your reply..before hitting the post key. Opinion and rhetoric doesn’t do so well around here. Please stop regurgitating media talking points…and bring something intelligence to the board.
If you can’t engage in intelligent conversation…please refrain from conversing.

He may be on to something in that the Mormon church is one of the most secretive organizations in the world.Nobody but a Mormon can enter their churches, even Ann Romney’s parents could not attend their wedding at the church because they were not Mormons. Then again there may no need to wiretap other churches and mosques in that Romney once he was baptized he became a prophet and speaks directly to God so he could just ban all churches except for what he believes is the true church. They believe if you are not a baptized Mormon you are just a heathen that worships a pagan symbol such as the cross. If anybody perhaps they should be wiretapped and he just may be blowing smoke to take the scent away from their misdeeds.

    • Sirian

      jopa,
You’ve managed to show you’re true ignorance oh so well once again. Blame this, blame that, blame the other, has to be someone else’s fault for sure. Especially Mormons! Typical fool at his best. :(

      • Karolyn

Sirian – Do you know anything about the LDS? When I was being proselytized by a couple, I did a fair amount of research and turned and ran away after initially thinking it sounded like a pretty good religion.

      • Sirian

        Karolyn,
I’ve had friends that were Mormons and they most certainly are nothing as jopa has yakked about. Think back for a moment. . . was there not quite a controversy over JFK being a Catholic when he was running for the presidency? Remember? This is simply another way that the opponents of “whomever the candidate may happen to be” to jump on them via their religious beliefs/affiliations. How often have the evangelicals been jumped on? Remember? Democrats/Progressives and yes, even Republicans at times have followed the same format. A well known political tactic, simple as that. That’s why it is idiocy in it’s own right.

      • http://folkartist.wordpress.com Libertytrain

I thought religion was not an issue – particularly with the lib left – yet it is they who are demonizing the Mormons – pick and choose once again with them. Do as I say not as I do, once again the left’s motto rings true.

      • boone1

Ilook at it this way if Romney wins he will be the white obamaHe will keep doing the same old crap that everyone does when they get in office me i going to write in RON PAUL i don’t Romney and i don’t trust him he also is for the NWO thats all i have to say

      • Karolyn

I was on the brink of joining them after being schooled a couple of times. Then I decided to do my research. All I have to say is that after I found some information from Mormons who had been kicked out of or left the church (one of whom became a Baptist pastor), I was totally turned off and frightened away. It’s like any large Church. The little people may be fine, but the hierarchy calls the shots. They are too discriminatory in their practices. Women are less than men and not allowed in the Temple. Many tend not to help anyone not of their religion – unless they turn them. There is much to be found online. Many say that Joseph Smih was insane. I make no judgment on LDS members, but their religion scares me.

    • http://firefox wog1

Do some checking before you say there maybe some truth to that. Anyone can attend a Mormon Church at any time. Check your bible for religious rights on temple worship. Church worship is not temple worship. But I am sure you will not bother to check it out if might just change your opinion and you would not want that.

    • http://firefox wog1

You sir are a travesty not only to yourself but to the world.

      • JON

You’re being a little bit dramatic. Don’tcha think?

    • MAP

Jopa, you give us reasons to fear others’ religions and you lecture us on how oppressive and unjust they can be in practice. Yet, you don’t warn us of the left’s replacement religion of secular humanism. It and Islam are, without question, the two most oppressive and unjust religions on the planet today. Why, if you are sincere in your fears, do you not warn us of this religious tyranny?

      • eddie47d

You make for a good conversation but it might not be to your liking. How many worldly people have died at the hands of Christians and did so in the name of God? Religions whether Muslims (killings in North Africa when that religion was founded). Hindus killing on the Pakistani border.Buddhists(Japan and China killing each other) before WWII. Catholics slaughtering millions in the Caribbean and the Americas during their conquests. Protestants killing millions in Europe for centuries. I may be a Christian but I don’t put my head in the sand when it comes to dirty religious deeds. The Mormons have their infamous Mountain Meadows Massacre in Utah although that pales in comparison to some of the others.

      • MAP

Yeah, Eddie and let’s talk about the 30 millions that died in the Soviet Union by the secular, leftist state. Then we can move on to the 50 millions that died in the secular state of Red China. That you speak of was not done by Christians, it was done by sinners. Your argument is no argument. It is the argument of an atheist, someone that wants to make the rules and decide who lives and who dies. Secular humanism is the religion of death and oppression. Man, the imperfect fool, become god.

      • eddie47d

The Crusades were also a series of false wars perpetrated by the Elites of that time and the Christian religion was the “backbone” to send these men to their deaths. Take the beam out of your own eye before trying to take the sliver out of mine.

    • Steve E

Jopa, you are so wrong about the Mormon Church. Anyone can walk into a church or church services without being a member. The Temple is where only Mormons in good standing can go. The Mormons do not criticize the crucifix, they do not display it because they feel that if your own son was crucified, would you want to mount an image of you son on a wall nailed to a cross? Perhaps some people see that differently, but that’s ok too. They just don’t. You haven’t read the doctrines of the church and should not criticize it until you do.

      • Steve E

In spite of the above statement, I voted for Ron Paul in the primaries.

      • JON

Yes. You can walking into a Mormon Chruch. However, you have to be a member of the Mormon Church in good standing in order to enter a Mormon Temple.

    • Ladyhawke

      jopa,
I believe that you are talking about the “temple” and their super secretive ceremonies held there. Anyone can go into the churches, that is one way that they proselytize people. We went to a funeral for a friend at a mormon church.

      • Ladyhawke

By the way, I will not vote for Romney and it has nothing to do with him being a Mormon. Same with bo, nothing to do with skin color. Everything to do with their politics.

    • catman11

      jopa,

All Christians religions are corrupt, tryThe secretive world of the corrupt Catholic Church and their sexual cover-ups..I can’t leave out the other religious frauds, genocide, bloody wars ,ignorance, war on science and learning.Remember the dark ages?

Two arms of the same monster Ron Paul is our only hope!

      Jopa,
It has nothing to do with religion…it’s all about character…of which Mittens has none….
For anyone who thinks Mittens is the answer to Obama…think again…one coin…two sides…and they are both the same figurehead :

the ignorence people show like this jopa remarks are amasing, the mormon churches are all open to any people wishing to know about them, the only thing not open is there temples because they believe them to be holy, were ALL going to hear nothing but falsehoods now until the elections. If someone wants to know what the mormons believe than inquire from there missionaries?? and stop the false statements.

    • boyscout

Mitt is a Rebublocrat politician first and a Mormon, (add in a series of attributes separated by comas) after that. The operative word is “politician” and it is used in the contemporary sense of “for sale.” Elitist and wealthy, yes. Yet still quite affordable to the few who care not how their stooge is labeled, what color he/she is, or how long he/she remains in office. All is well as long as the next one is in the pocket too.

    • ranger5

I am a Mormon, my wife attends the temple, so you are off base with you’re comments. Everyone is an expert. I am a convert to the church, I did my research also.We are happy as a family in the Church. I will not argue which religion is the best nor will I trash any other. We are Christians just as any other is. All the Book of Mormon is translation by Smith from Moses and Christ with ties to America. Please don’t comment about what you don’t know about. I don’t know if Romney will be a great pres or not I do think he is a decent man with good family values. I am not voting for him because he is a Mormon or not> I think the pres should be a religious person, one should pray for guidance when making a decision that affects the population of this great country. I am NOT saying the the Mormon church or any other should control the pres in his/her decisions. We as a country should/need to return to the family values, the love of our country, and the things that made us great. We should not be ashamed for being an American. The current pres doesn’t seem to understand that.I am an American, Conservative, Mormon, Army Combat Vet and proud of it. If Romney gets the nomination support him, if by chance another Republican wins it support them, We need Obama out of the White House. If Romney doesn’t measure up to what we as Americans deserve, vote him out. Don’t play the religion game. I supported Pres Bush, some of you didn’t. I believe he is a good man. Lets get our country back on track

Thanks for your service, Snake-eater! Ha, Ha, I was a Recon Scout (19D30) before I transfer to the AF. Served time in ‘Nam (’68 – ’69).

I agree with you 1000% on that we have got to get rid of that Socialist and his traitoress wife. I don’t care what religion Romney is I believe he will lead this country back into a prosporious and fulfilling nation.

GOD BLESS THE US OF A and MAY SHE REIGN FOREVER!

ROTFLMAO! Jopa, that’s the silliest allegation I’ve heard in months, thank you for the gut buster. Having many friends who are morman, I’ve been invited to their churches on numerous occasions and have attended weddings held in their churches. As to outsiders being heathen and not getting to heaven??? oh hell! what denomination doesn’t have that personna hanging in the air, however slight; that’s just economics, follow the money trail. Thanks for the laughs, I appreciated it!

    • John Wilch (TSgt, USAF Ret.)

jopa, jopa, I am not a Mormon, I was reaised as a Southern Baptish and I have attended weddings and funnerals. One was were I was a Pulbearer and the other was I was a member of the Brides family, Cousin. So, jopa, ingage the brain, after you do your homework, before you open your mouth.

The Church is open to the public whereas the Temple is not.

GOD BLESS THE US OF A and MAY SHE REIGN FOREVER!
