    As much as I would like to have a federal job for its salary and benefits, I must say that being a Secret Service agent is NOT a position I’d want at any salary. Especially now – given the regime of politicians I’d be responsible for protecting. If I were a SS agent, I’d feel like I was committing treason by protecting America’s enemies, unless of course I were assigned to true patriotic American GOP presidential candidates other than Romney or Ron Paul. And of course Sarah Palin was right to say : “Well, check this out, buddy — you’re fired!” SARAH PALIN 2016!!

    Could it be that the Secret Service guys were showing their disdain for Obama and – why not? With that fat can of Hillary’s shaking on the dance floor, she must have been an inspiration to find something much better to while away their time with. I’m not condoning what they did but when they get constant put-downs from the man they are supposed to protect ‘with their very lives’, I’d be doing what I could to defy him, too. Just goes to show how little they care for their charge and how he’s lost control of them. He should, in fact, fear for his life.

        I agree, sook young, Charles took it a little too far with the way he commented. My first wife was a Korean lady I met in Taegu (Daegu) in 1969. She was a Christian and had never been with a man in the sexual sense. She never strayed during our marriage of 15 years.

        Charles, of course, was talking about the camp follower towns/casernes that have sprung up around military installations since time immemorial, and they are to be found all over the world, not just in the Far East.

        So, yes, Charles overstated his case, but I don’t think he intended to stereotype all women in the country or countries in which he ws stationed.

        Do you think the lack of education contributes to their ignorance, apathy, child bearing, crime rate and political views?
        You would think that in 2012, with all of the opportunity and trillions wasted on these people that as a people they would be grateful for our generosity and have succeed by now like every other culture that has come from nothing and built themselves to be something positive in our society.

      The shooter placed the baby in her car as Golden lurched forward, trying to grab back her child. The shooter was described as thin, in her late 20s or early 30s, African American and with gold-colored hair.”

      A man was in the passenger’s seat, witnesses told reporters.
      The car, a light green or sky blue Lexus with blood stains, knocked down Golden as it drove off, the Associated Press reported. Golden was transported to a hospital where she died of her wounds, the Chronicle reported.
      Baby Keegan, who is white with brown hair, wore a green-and-white onesie with the word, “handsome,” the AP reported.

      C’mon sook young, when I was in the ROK in the early 70s, I tasted dog meat on a day that my Korean co-workers said it was traditional on that day for men to eat it. It was supposed to enhance virility.

      Wikipedia says “The consumption of dog meat, called Gaegogi (개고기) in Korean, has had a long history in South Korea as well as other Eastern Asian cultures, but it has been controversial both inside and outside of the country due to animal rights and sanitary concerns…The BBC claims that eighty-five hundred tons of dog meat are consumed per year, with another 93,600 tons used to produce a medicinal tonic called Gaesoju (개소주).”

      To be honest, I have no qualms about it.

        Dog meat has been used in Chinese restaurants here in the US too. I know of happening 3 different times. 1st time was in Vallejo, CA. The dog catcher reported that suddenly there were no stray dogs (or cats) in the downtown area. The Chinese restaurant was inspected and they found that was where the strays were ending up. 2nd time was is Tulsa, OK. Another Chinese restaurant and the same thing as Vallejo. 3rd time was in Reno, NV. They were doing extensive advertising for a new Chinese restaurant. I didn’t go, but a couple of friends, one a cop, decided to see if it was any good. The deputy took one look at the meat he had been served and walked out. Inspection showed they were serving dog, cat and raccoon.

        When I was in Hawaii some Filapinos at work asked me if I’d like to go to a teriyaki BBQ after work. I said yeah, OK. After I finished eating one of them asked me how I liked it. I said it was a little different. He said C’mon I want to show you something in the back yard. He then showed me the remains of a dead dog. Ohhhh nooo!
