The Democrats’ Dead Horse

March 20, 2012 by

The Democrats’ Dead Horse
UPI FILE
Liberals have lambasted Rush Limbaugh for calling Sandra Fluke a "slut."

I’m fairly surprised the Rush Limbaugh/Sandra Fluke/Bill Maher/Democrat hypocrisy “scandal” still has legs. Not that I expected the Democrats were any more likely to give up on this Cirque de la Stupidité, but getting Democrats to understand their own folly is a fool’s errand, like wresting a bone away from my dog. I take that back. My dog has done nothing to deserve that kind of insult.

Considering the definitive and diverse opinions regarding this topic addressed by my fellow Personal Liberty Digest™ writers and me, combined with the global reach of Personal Liberty Digest™ (one of the top 10 libertarian sites on the planet), I would have thought Fluke would have been consigned to sorting Post-it notes in the basement of the Prince George’s County Health Department (or wherever the Democrats send their female sock puppets when they’re done with them. Has anyone seen Cindy Sheehan lately?)

Let’s see this for what it is. As I said last week, what Limbaugh said was artless and crude. What Maher, Chris Matthews, Ted Rall, Rachel Maddow, Keith Olbermann, that freak at Wonkette (no, I am not going to learn his/her/its name), the O’Donnells (Lawrence, the crazy one, and Rosie, the crazy fat one), the Schultzes (Ed, the fat one, and Debbie, the Wasserman- one), Michael Moore, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Louis Farrakhan, Randi Rhodes, Thom Hartmann, Mike Malloy and any random handful of ACORN (or whatever they’re calling themselves now) volunteers say on a regular basis is artless and crude. Judging from some of the email Bob Livingston receives from some of you, what I say is artless and crude. Some of us are right. Others are — well — less so. I’ll have you know that I am an artiste rhétorique — especially when I’ve gotten into the scotch while I’m writing.

But there is no gain in trying to expose the liberal hypocrisy that once again has reared its misshapen head. Liberalism is defined by hypocrisy, yet there are plenty of liberals. Identifying their hypocrisy for them would be as useful as the aforementioned attempts to steal a bone from my dog. Even if you abscond with it, the dog won’t understand. Even if you put the hypocrisy of the liberal elite on display (again), liberals won’t understand; they’ll simply continue to hate you. They already hate you, so why bother? More importantly, conservatives can’t reap any benefit by wallowing in the pen with the liberal pigs; they’re playing a home game.

Arguing about Maher’s public displays of what are clearly some very serious mommy issues works entirely in the Democrats’ favor. What do you think they’d rather discuss: Barack Obama’s appalling ineptitude or Maher’s appalling misogyny? One threatens the very fabric of our society. The other threatens… Ann Coulter (or at least, he’d like to). Would they rather examine Obama’s shocking disregard for liberty or Olbermann’s shocking woman-hating rage? One could enslave us all. The other won’t come out of the bathroom unless everyone in the newsroom stops making fun of him. Would they rather converse on the topic of Attorney General Eric Holder’s potentially criminal acts during and after the disastrous Operation Fast and Furious or Rhodes’ desire to forcibly remove the reproductive organs of pro-life women? One carries a body count. The other — well — I doubt Rhodes would mind. Would they rather ruminate on Obama’s Energy Secretary Steven Chu admitting that the Administration doesn’t care about lowering fuel prices or Maddow’s penchant for slander? One is squeezing the economic life out of the middle class. The other was (I think) brought to life in Phil Griffin’s evil laboratory.

The list of crimes and misdemeanors committed by the Democrats under Obama’s regime is longer than I can possibly do justice in a scant few hundred words. Almost all of them are deserving of close scrutiny. And the Democrats are well aware of the fact that such scrutiny would cost them dearly this fall. Imagine a scenario in which not only do the voters send Obama packing for his Presidential museum, but they dispatch the current Democratic majority in the Senate along for the ride — permanently.

No wonder they’re trying so hard to steer the conversation away from their own failures and toward debates that are nearly as relevant to the state of our union as Fluke is to intelligent political discourse.

I wouldent vote for Ron Paul if he was the only person running. He is to extreame in his thoughts and would tare down this country. But to beat Obumma I would vote for an old Yellow Dog.

      Charles
I’m not supprised one bit that you wouldn’t vote for Paul.

Another example of a person being brainwashed by the GOP Wholesale Brainwashing Machine… Please Observe, my fellow Constitutionalist. Don’t let a GOP Brainwashed person like revnowwhilewecan get to you. He is just another propaganda fool. Why are people so stupid?

Sorry, I mean Charles Bill L.

So let me get this straight. You would hand over this country over to the dogs (or dog) in order to get rid of Obama? Wow, is this a new definition of patriotism? I missed that memo.

  • vicki

@Ben Crystal How about a column that constantly lists the top 10 crimes and misdemeanors of the current administration so that we can keep them at the forefront of discussion. Make the column above the fold of your site.

    • vicki

sorry I meant to say of this (personalliberty.com) site.

    • eddie47d

You mean he doesn’t do that everyday as it is?

    • Deerinwater

Alleged crimes? or will Obama be subjected to his “rights” as afforded by the Constitution?

Or are going to just give him a “fair trial and hang him? LOL ~ ! ;-)

      • http://gravatar.com/hattles JeffH

What Constitutional rights might that be bob, considering that Obama doesn’t follow or respect the Constitution himself unless, of course, he can benefit from it.

      • Deerinwater

Of course he does Jeff, but even if he didn’t , the entitlement is there none the less.

A little different perhaps, but it’s like atheist not believing in God and God not believing in atheist.

You got it! Where you want it or not. Declining is not actually an option that’s offered.

SInce this is not a court of law your question is irrelevant. I would expect you and other liberals to show up with your opinions for us to knock down with actual facts though. Kinda looking forward to it actually. More info for the voters to study.

“Ben Crystal How about a column that constantly lists the top 10 crimes and misdemeanors of the current administration so that we can keep them at the forefront of discussion. Make the column above the fold of your site.”

Sounds much like a trial to me Vicky. If it was within your power, would you sanction your efforts to bring the alleged criminal to justice? Hmm? If not, it’s a Lynch Mob attempting to sway “public opinion”, plain and simple without benefit of defense.

You leave no option but defend or set idly by, watching you spin a web of conspiracy.

If “to be” a conservative, I’m required to be like you, I’ll pass ~ but I’m not a liberal anymore then you are a conservative. You entertain a bias, one you can’t openly speak of, leaving you predisposed to offer us your views while attempting to cloak your bias. You hide behind a banner of “Conservatism”, while you attempt to bull$hit the bull$hitter.

I understand you, ~ I know where you are coming from. This notion of “Liberty & Justice for All” is a double edged sword, sound good to say ~ but application is ~~~~ problematic.

limbaugh’s only mistake was the apology, you don’t apologize to bolsheviks, that’s a sign of weakness. who really cares about any of this, it certainly doesn’t contribute to current events, now the bols want to keep stirring the pot they think there’s damage they can do to limbaugh, that’s a laugh they have already damaged themeselves, bill maher and barry are more of an issue than rush. fluke is just that a fluke. barry should be looking for ways to remove maher from the scene, he’s the one that sunk the bols in this matter.and if you think the million dollar contribution is going away soon, forget it this will go on to election day, if i was rush the thanks would be on the way to the two bumblers, barry and maher.

Just a word, try and remember Sandra Fluke is just flucking with ya……

  • ONTIME

Limbaugh made the mistake of using libspeak, a language akin to ebonics and requires that the speaker of logic not use their language and realize that libspeak is fit only for the retarded lib whose mentality is one of entitlement and self righteousness.
Libs spend a lot of time talking about that which they do not know, libs expect you to listen as if these words were wisdom and written in stone and cannot be changed, you are expected to bow to this wisdom.
Reasoning with a mindset such as libspeak is like standing at the bow of a ship and spitting into the wind, you must duck in order not to be gobsmacked by this attempt and you can watch this spittle make it’s way to the stern if you are quick to look.

Does anyone remember when one of the Dixie Chicks merely stated that she was ashamed that Bush was from her home state of Texas. Right wing pundits were so full of rightious indignation they couldn’t see straight, and organized a hate campaign that destroyed the career of the Chicks. Then they proceeded to celebrate their accompolishment for years to come. The liberals problem is that they lack the bitterness and hatred of the conservatives. If they didnt, Limbaugh would be toast.

    • Buster the Anatolian

“Does anyone remember when one of the Dixie Chicks merely stated that she was ashamed that Bush was from her home state of Texas. Right wing pundits were so full of rightious indignation they couldn’t see straight, and organized a hate campaign that destroyed the career of the Chicks.”

As I recall she didn’t “merely state she was ashamed” she shouted it over the PA at a concert in somewhere in Europe (England perhaps). And that by itself did not destroy their career. They did some other things after the statement that also did not sit well with their fans.

      • http://www.facebook.com/peter.calvet Peter Calvet

        Oh, so that’s OK then.

  • RichE

    Mr. Crystal,
What’s your opinion of his apology to Ms. Fluke? I find, ‘…I make the absurd more absurd’ poignant. Implying his statements are absurd.

    • Deerinwater

he’s not going to reply to you.

but I will, Rush said that he was sorry for what he said and blamed it on someone else! Basically refusing to Man Up! and accept responsibility for what he said.

He was “possessed” and consumed by alien forces.

      • RichE

Deerinwater, “Rush blamed it on someone else!” That’d make him an, “Immatureist” LOL

Leftist, rightist, immatureist. I think I’ve got a rap song in the making. ROFL

Ben Crystal is the man, no one can put himself down on the liberal level like him. I don’t spout morality or any type of better than thou morality, but Rush Limbaugh and all the people he names are one and the same. True we need to quit being the politically correct lot but the overweight druggy is a total shame to that which is conservative ideal. Why act like the other side. I don’t believe in the school yard mentality of little kids, They do it why can’t we?

    • Deerinwater

Left handed humor that leans to the right?

Well, ~ Ben Crystal is his own worst enemy, I would think it would be easy for him to find something he better at. But like a leper on an island of lepers , he seem to fit in here.

Some of his “fans” wonder if he’s a Scotch drinker. Maybe they will send him a few bottles for Christmas.

Certainly the very last thing on my mind.

      • Opal the Gem

Perhaps you should learn to read deerinwater. Ben clearly said he liked scotch those who commented on it wondered what brand he prefered they already know he likes it.

      • Deerinwater

I rarely read Ben Crystal’s posting. ~ already knowing that it’s void of much content, why bother?

Why would I care what his drinking preference might be?

It’s not like he was discussing wheel guns over auto loaders, something I’d be inclined to read.

Just for you , I’ll read it, back in a minute! ~~~~~~ well, I tried! The first paragraph left me flat ~ sorry. He’s wanting you to believe the left just needs to lay down, they are somehow inept . ~ But since they have had him whining and crying for 3 years, I find it hard to believe.

Do you thing the DNC is inept? That would please me if you did.

  • Deerinwater

Has legs? Oh yea! Jane Fonda has came out of retirement on this one.

I’d say that was an accurate observation Ben Crystal, something you are not usually note for.

I don’t know how this will end, but Rush has bit off a mouth full and the fun with be long lasting as we watch him chews and swallows.

I’d say, it’s just started, though I seriously doubt of the news cycles will offer us a ring side blow by blow accounting. Rush is going to share some wealth on attorney fees.

  • Diane Harms

I’m neither Democrat nor Republican, I have my own personal philosophy on politics. I’m sure that in itself is a problem for some people, but that’s besides the point. It doesn’t take a genius to see what Rush L. said was beyond the scope of decency, even though I agree with him. But for the life of me I can’t understand why people can’t move on! Good grief, who of us hasn’t stuck their foot in their mouth at some point? I’ve been following politics since I was a kid and non of this surprises me. This political rhetoric and hypocrisy (and yes, deception and secrecy in many areas) has been around for some time. I’m amazed that we’re shocked by this behavior. This isn’t anything new, it’s just that we have become more enlightened because of our wonderful modern day mass media. I really don’t believe that the average person doesn’t see what’s going on. In reality most people feel frustrated as they sit back and watch the two political extremes go at each other like they are five years old. When my own kids fought like this I told them all to go out and play “speed bump”! Get back on the agenda!

    • Deerinwater

“But for the life of me I can’t understand why people can’t move on! Good grief, who of us hasn’t stuck their foot in their mouth at some point?”

While I understand your thoughts, this left unaddressed will only insure more of it in the future.

Myself, I don’t appreciate that kind of talk directed toward our ladies and I would like to see it discontinued.

If Rush or anyone else make their living in broadcasting , it come with a responsibility and common courtesy. We are not a third world nation, but a nation that other’s might aspire to.

“Shaggy haired whores” , “Slut”, or even the unsubstantiated claim of “prostitute” is not now or ever been “acceptable”

Myself, my bar is set higher. If it’s a difference of opinion, so be it ~ I’m offering mine.

    • Sick and Tired of Democrats Hypocraisy

“Good grief, who of us hasn’t stuck their foot in their mouth at some point?” Surely you had our VP Osama Bin Biden in mind. Not only have his crude remarks been caught on tape, but he always manages to get shinola stains on his tongue from having his foot in his mouth so often. That’s what you get when you have talentless grubs who have never worked in the private sector, and have always lived on the “public teat”. No wonder the Obummer administration is so twisted and inept – their 2 top guys have never done real work for a living.

      • Deerinwater

“”. No wonder the Obummer administration is so twisted and inept ”

LOL! ~ they kept the right crying like a baby for three years. So maybe they are inept and your are happy with it, or you are just a very large liar.

  • TML

Ben Crystal says, “Judging from some of the email Bob Livingston receives from some of you, what I say is artless and crude. Some of us are right. Others are — well — less so. I’ll have you know that I am an artiste rhétorique — especially when I’ve gotten into the scotch while I’m writing.”

Well, at least you admit it… I respect you more for that…. Just a little bit.

Ben Crystal says, “Even if you put the hypocrisy of the liberal elite on display (again), liberals won’t understand; they’ll simply continue to hate you. They already hate you, so why bother?”

Well, I would imagine, that your ad hominem ‘talent artistique’ don’t gain much favor with the liberals, so how could you expect them to accept any hypocrisy you point out to them? People often hate being wrong… as it’s said, it wasn’t that the world was round that irritated people, but that the world wasn’t flat… so insulting them while reasoning with them will NEVER get you anywhere. In any debate or discussion, the moment you feel anger and attack the other person, is the moment you cease striving for the truth, and have begun striving for yourself.

    • Larry

One cannot debate anything with a liberal anyway. I have yet to converse with one that when they couldn’t substantiate their beliefs they just start ranting and then stomp off all ticked off.Not one time has it turned out any different. Plus they hate it when I never yell back but just smile at their ignorance. That really ticks them off.

      • Deerinwater

As long as you are the one they are talking too, why would you think that any results might be different? A hundred different people and one you!

That you fail the get the implications of your own observation speaks volumes in it’s self.

This is GOP self validation and curricular reasoning at it’s finest.

        “I am!”

      • Vigilant

What is “curricular” reasoning Bob? Is it any different from “extracurricular” reasoning?

      • TML

Larry says, “One cannot debate anything with a liberal anyway. I have yet to converse with one that when they couldn’t substantiate their beliefs they just start ranting and then stomp off all ticked off. Not one time has it turned out any different.”

Frankly, I’ve seen the same in ‘conservatives’… so one would normally conclude that the world isn’t left and right, conservative and liberal, Democrat or Republican… when it comes to that. Thus, there is a false left/right paradigm which has so many people hypnotized into ignorance. If you would like to label your opponent… label them human. I’ve debated with many “liberals”, in person, who did not act the way you describe, so perhaps you’re approaching things wrong.

Larry says, “Plus they hate it when I never yell back but just smile at their ignorance. That really ticks them off.”

You sound happy, and proud of yourself, for ticking them off. Can I assume that was your intent? If not, then getting a bad response doesn’t equate to victory.

Bob Rice – Did you see this at EyesonWashington.com?

“The Department of Homeland security has just executed an order for enough rounds of 40 caliber ammunition to kill every man, woman and child in the United States. The question is: Why does The DHS need 450 Million Rounds Of .40 Caliber Ammunition?
That is heavy duty COP type ammo and enough of a supply to sustain an extended combat operation.”

There’s more of the article which came out on March 18, 2012, but you can read it for yourself at EyesonWashington.com. I was stunned. Keep your powder dry.

If women need someone else to pay for their recreational activity… remember that the 5th graders probably have a drawer full of condoms… Hopefully they still have them (unless of course they have been practicing with bananas).
You don’t suppose that Ms Fluke is a product of that liberal grade school program? She’s 30 and still in school? It will take her until 60 to pay off the debt for her subpar education… unless someone is dumb enough to marry her and take on the debt.
    Young men… heed this warning!!!

    • DavidL

Long past the time for you to talk to Mommy. First, Fluke is talking about a private insurance issue. No woman is asking you, or anyone else, to pay for her contraception. The individual woman pays for it with her premiums. Second, the issue is for women’s health conditions, many of which have nothing to do with preventing pregnancy. Third, the propaganda perpetrated by Limbaugh, Fox and others on the right that the contraception ” fix” can be found at Wal-Mart for $8.00, is typically irresponsible and ignorant. In some cases the cost of contraception for a woman’s particular health issue is between $1200 and 1500. For example, can you spell endometriosis?

      • Bart

Wrong, wrong, and wrong!!! Mr. David, you seem to have lost your grip on reality and can do nothing but parrot liberal talking points. You’re so far off point it’s not even funny. If this were a case where the a woman was buying her own health insurance, the issue would have never come up. The issue at hand is the government forcing the Catholic Church to pay for insurance that covers something that is against their religious teachings.

It’s about the First Amendment, not birth control. As usual though, the libs found away to demagogue and divert attention away from the real issue. “We’ll attack religious freedom but we’ll convince the ignorant masses that we’re trying to promote women’s health.” – that is exactly what they’ve done.

If you disagree with the church, you’ve got two choices. Either don’t work for a Catholic organization or buy your own damn insurance. In no case do you have the right to force them to go against their religious beliefs.

      • http://www.mototcarsfinancial.com Brad

Individual premiums? NO! it comes out of everyone’s premiums JACK OFF!!

      • vicki

        DavidL says:

Long past the time for you to talk to Mommy. First, Fluke is talking about a private insurance issue. No woman is asking you, or anyone else, to pay for her contraception.

Starting out with an ad hominem. How liberal of you.

If Fluke is talking about private insurance why is she talking to a part of Congress instead of the board of directors of said insurance company?

Fluke is a woman is she not? She is asking government to force a PRIVATE insurance company to provide services under force of government mandate. She is not offering to volunteer to provide that service so she is expecting the private insurance company to

        a. provde the service(s) and distribute the cost to all those who pay premiums.
        b. provide the service(s) with slave labor (which still costs money to keep the slaves). That cost would be distributed to all those who pay premiums.

Thus we see that your claim is in error. ( No woman is asking…anyone else to pay…)

      • Steve E

I believe that people who what the government to for-fill their their needs at someone else’s expense, is actually a sub-human. No self respecting real human would want that. It is a symptom of greed and selfishness.

  • Andrea

Ben, once again your post is brilliant and spot-on. Keep up the good work.

  • Susan

Y betcha. I love that libertarians can’t conduct a civil discussion of anything. Y guys love the Founding Fathers and did much research and thoughtful thinking to come up with philosophies that were the principles that created our country. They certainly disagreed in approach and philosophy of government. But they didn’t demean their intellects by calling each other fat (one of your favorite terms which I guess only axliberal can be) or other shrill and juvenile labels. Yes were penny peppers that hawked sensational ideas. Guess that is what you guys represent. Surely, y bear nonrelation to any Founding Father. The mind, facts and analysis are horrible things to waste. It’s also know way to make converts to your political philosophy. Do all Americans a service and drop juvenile labels and act “civil”.

    • Vigilant

Ever notice how the lefties always clamor for “civil” discussion when their rhetoric has ALWAYS been more inflammatory, crude and bellicose? Hypocrisy, thy name is Susan.

Susan, you’ll find more intelligent and fact-filled discussion on this website than you’ll ever find on a hatred-filled liberal website.

“Y[ou] guys love the Founding Fathers and did much research and thoughtful thinking to come up with philosophies that were the principles that created our country.” Well, at least you got that right.

    • Nadzieja Batki

You don’t read much. The Founding Fathers did not discuss ideological and philosophical points with the “inside voices” of a classroom or the phony pious voices of being inside a church.

    • eddie47d

Why you would out right lie about such things, only you might tell us. But since you are a documented liar, who might wish to believe you?

Just the phrase “Tea Bagger” will kick you post off Huffington Post. So clearly you are a liar or just talking to hear your head rattle.

eddie shows us all why that he is a good example of what Ben Cystal , Vigilant and sc and many more of us have come to realize…pure unadulterated hypocricy.

Heck Jeff that was Crystal Light. You’ve never seen the movie Mars Attacks? Dumber than a box of rocks that movie was( Glad I didn’t have to pay for it). The comparison with Newt’s wife was very close. Now I suppose you agree with Karen Handel who wants to crucify Jews and execute Muslims? Maybe you’d better pick a better “classic” before you attack although I didn’t agree with the ghoulish remark about death towards the end.

eddie, why would I agree with that? Oh, that’s right, you’re an immoral liberal. If I thought, even for a moment, that you could even understood why I posted any of those links, I wouldn’t have.

No doubt Rush slipped up when he called Sandra Fluke a slut and a prostitute. He admitted that even though he was trying to illustrate the absurdity of Fluke’s claims by using exaggeration and absurdity, he chose his words poorly. He said that he descended to the level of the Left, and that he knows better. Okay, fine. He apologized. End of story, right? Wrong.

With feigned outrage, the hypocritical Left went berserk screeching and squealing about what a woman-hater Rush is — a demonstrably false accusation, of course. Anyone who bothers to listen to Rush for any given amount of time knows full well that he has a great deal of love for America and the American people, and that includes women. But, that is not the point with the Left. They lie, and they lie all the time.

We see the Left, in a campaign led by Media Matters and other radical leftist groups, whipping their followers into a mania of feigned outrage at Rush’s characterization of Sandra Fluke. They are behaving like rabid weasels over this insult in which Rush was telling the truth about Fluke’s motives, even though he could have dispensed with the inflammatory descriptions of her.

So, where was the outrage when leftist talkers and television personalities have called Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann the worst names imaginable? With the exception of FOX, almost non-existant. As Michelle Malkin points out in her column from 3/7/2012, there actually is a war on women, but it’s a “war on conservative women,” and it is a vile one.

      • eddie47d

Now tell us Jeff when has Michelle Malkin NOT told whoppers? You are so gullible in believing all the things these right wing editorialists sprout. I don’t believe everything that left wing talking heads bellyache about but you seem to think much of this right wing misinformation is the gospel.

      • Libertytrain

        good post Jeff….

      • http://gravatar.com/hattles JeffH

Libertytrain pure and simple…liberal leftists like eddie refuse to see the facts of the truth…i.e. like both Brietbart and Malkin present. Much the way the ACORN videos exposed ACORN for what they are…much the way the video of the Black Panthers intimidating voters in Philadelphia exposed them for what they are, the left always have a built in excuse and are quick to defend the perpetrators…unless they’re not of their thinking.

      • Deerinwater

“liberal leftists like eddie refuse to see the facts of the truth…i.e”

what facts? Rush has a good excuse? Is that what you are saying?

He was overwhelmed? smitten? possessed? Those words just rolled out of his mouth and them actually belong to someone else?

I think maybe his elevator might go to the top, but the doors just won’t open!

Quite defending this pig ~ Rush lost high ground and the debate. ~ The debate is now about his conduct.

If this clown is TEA Party Material, and you wish to defend him~ it destroys any gains the Tea Party has ever made with me. I would not want to be a part of anything you do.

This woman has the right to speak without being verbally molested by this P~por-ky Pp~ pig!

      • Steve E

The world in becoming so Woosyfied. Sorry Rush hurt your wossy feelings. You are a victum of the Political Partiy’s Wholesale Brainwashing Machine. Woosey.

        JeffH
I’m a little new to this but it seems to me that if there’s a war on conservative women then Ann Coulter is Netanyahu-esk with threats and preemptive strikes.

      • http://gravatar.com/hattles JeffH

So says the Jabberwocky…Deer you’re really not that much different than Flashy of eddie.

      • Libertytrain

deer says: “This woman has the right to speak without being verbally molested by this P~por-ky Pp~ pig!”

ALL WOMEN and ALL CHILDREN are entitled to this right, he was no bigger pig then the other entertainers/comedians/”news”casters/ are and yet, it is beyond obvious “we” (the collective we) pick and choose who gets a free ride on this insanity of sleazy attacks at innocent women and their children. I don’t get it and you’ve yet to tell me why one is given a pass, a smirk and a sly smile; and one is attacked ruthlessly for doing it. I don’t like rush one bit, he’s no better than the others. However. ALL or NOTHING – if we are so intent on protecting some women, some children but not all. All or nothing – don’t patronize women – fight for all of them. obama could have demonstrated real leadership by just saying enough is enough. But he didn’t. Kind of like the rest of the boys.

  • Vigilant

“I’ll have you know that I am an artiste rhétorique — especially when I’ve gotten into the scotch while I’m writing.”

Mr. Crystal, I’m glad there are still folks around who can tell it like it is. Your statement is a keeper!

    • Vigilant

I also like the dog simile. I could also add that, like dogs, the libs mark out their territory by peeing on it.

  • s c

It takes a diseased mind to try and defend the indefensible. Since Obummer first slid into the W H, his administration has done everything it could to turn America inside out. Those who try to defend him are every bit as guilty as their false W H ‘God.’
If it wasn’t for the “talents” of Obummer’s stooges and his robot followers, there would be no false issues. Obummer has no record. He has no accomplishments (in any positive sense). Utopianism is gasping its last breath, and only Obummer’s ‘Useful Idiot A team’ would dare to try and make him look good. Do those social rejects get paid to see who can lie better than anyone else? This is what happens when mommy won’t let daddy spank the defective brat, folks.

    • Vigilant

“It takes a diseased mind to try and defend the indefensible.”

Precisely. The M.O. of the left is deflection, obfuscation and subterfuge, i.e., classic Saul Alinsky technique. Liberalism is indeed a mental disease.

Bereft of facts to bolster their points, they must rely on appeals to the emotion. No headway is possible in issues such as global warming, alternative energy, wealth redistribution, etc., once facts are squarely faced. The job of the schools, the media and this criminal administration is to propagandize and dumb down the populace to a point where it becomes putty in the hands of the statists.

Powerful soporifics are not just dispensed by Big Pharma and doctors; they are as well dispensed by Big Brother in the form of wealth redistribution to create dependencies and further enslave the population.

    • Vigilant

BTW, where’s Karolyn today? I’ve been waiting for her usual “give it a rest, Ben” or “running out of material, Ben” comments.

    • Wyatt

Well stated s c , my grandma always said spare the rod and spoil the child . Not because she enjoyed hitting children but because they learn that there was a penalty for wrong doing .

It is apparent that this administration is guilty of wrong doing on an scale never before witnessed . That the rod is called for is plain for all to see if those looking would but open their eyes . And the best rod that we the people of America can wield is a the polls . Voting this corrupt and inept president out along with his equally corrupt and inept staff and lapdogs in Congress and the Senate out permanently .

Call me naive but wasn’t Bill Maher praising Ron Paul, just a few months ago, for getting more cheers than Ben Affleck on his show? Wasn’t he saying, “I really like Ron Paul” and praising him as the only one who will actually do what he says he promises he will do? I don’t watch his show except for the Ron Paul episode but I guess he’s full of it because he’s given Obama $1,000,000.00. Now that’s the definition of a shill. I wonder how much he got paid to stop talking about how great Ron Paul is and that he endorses Obama?? My guess is 1,000,000.00 dollars.

    • http://www.facebook.com/peter.calvet Peter Calvet

I too have revised my views of Ron Paul: Too much available information, You can check it out in my article “Ron Paul’s Excellent Adventure” at: http://corporationsarepeople.blogspot.com/

      Not for the squeamish.

On a personal note, my friend Zack went to Davidson, and I went to Reed. Nice use of the Langue de Molière, Ben.

      • Pendragonrise

Upon perusal of “Ron Paul’s Excellent Adventure”, it is clear to see you’ve feasted upon pure rhetorical B.S. and apparently enjoyed it. What an insipid palette!

      • http://www.facebook.com/peter.calvet Peter Calvet

Rhetorical BS? That’s new to me. Please explain. Does that have anything to do with facts? I try to stick with facts, I find them useful when making a point. You know, like evidence, documents, film, stuff like that. Care to dispute any, or do you just partake in the liberal type ad hominem pontifications. Insipid, indeed.

    • Harold Olsen

You’re absolutely right! Maher is full of it. I happened to catch an interview with him years ago (he still had his “Politically Incorrect” show on ABC at the time) and he was asked what his political beliefs were. He actually had the audacity to claim he was a conservative. He’s as much a conservative as Hitler was pro Jewish!

      • Robin Carlisle

OMG. Bill Maher has never claimed to be a conservative. I don’t even think you could say conservative liberal. He has claimed to be an independent for 20years I’ve been watching him every since you caught the interview. You must be mistaken him for someone else.

      • http://www.facebook.com/peter.calvet Peter Calvet

Mahr may be full of himself, but he never claimed to be a conservative. He is a libertarian who has been so disappointed with the standard bearers that he slowly gravitated to Obama. He still has some libertarian views like he doesn’t believe in federal funding for the arts. Also, he’s not terribly fond of religion which used to be a libertarian position (read: Ayn Rand) But some of us have been so turned off by the clueless anti-intellectual teabagger, “birther” bull—- that we have no where to go but toward the only rational guy in the room. Where’s Bill Buckley when you need him?
