Obama’s Budget-Busting Baloney

February 24, 2012 by

Obama’s Budget-Busting Baloney

That wasn’t a budget Barack Obama delivered to Congress. It was a campaign document.

It was full of promises of “fairness,” which to our President and his cronies means taking more money from those who earn it and giving it to those whom they think deserve it. “From each according to his ability, to each according to his need.” Karl Marx said it first.

Obama’s budget for the 2013 fiscal year, which begins Oct. 1, calls for total Federal expenditures of $3.8 trillion. That’s a 0.2 percent increase in spending, but somehow the number crunchers claim it includes a ton of reductions.

Of course all those “savings” are just a mirage. You have to understand that in Washington, if you agree to slow the rate of growth of some bureaucracy, you can claim all sorts of credit for reducing the budget.

Funny, but somehow we taxpayers always end up paying more.

For the past four years, the Obama Administration has run a deficit of more than $1 trillion. That’s more than $4 trillion added to the deficit in just one term — something that has never happened before in our history.

But there’s good news for next year — that is, if you accept all of the rosy assumptions the Obama budget contains. If revenues don’t go any higher than projected and tax receipts rise as much as predicted, the deficit for Fiscal 2013 will be a mere $901 billion. Isn’t that wonderful?

Of course, the Obama budget calls for higher taxes on “the rich.” That’s any individual making more than $200,000 a year (or any family making more than $250,000). Obama says it’s not “fair” that multimillionaires like Mitt Romney pay only 15 percent in taxes. He conveniently ignores that businesses pay 35 percent of their profits in taxes.

But Obama and his supporters echo the old canard, “Don’t confuse me with facts, my mind’s already made up.” They want to raise the tax of dividend income for “the rich” to 39.6 percent.

Whenever our greedy, grasping government has tried to raise taxes this much, tax revenues have gone down. You don’t need a Ph.D. in economics to predict that it will happen again.

Two other proposals in the Obama budget are probably worth a mention. One is the demand that Congress not extend the Bush tax cuts, which are scheduled to expire at the end of this year. The November elections will decide what happens here. If Republicans gain control of the Senate and the White House, they are almost sure to be renewed. If not, color them gone. This would be a win-win for the Democrats, who would get a tax increase without actually having to vote for one.

The other proposal in the Obama budget getting a lot of publicity is the much ballyhooed “Buffett Rule.” This would require that anyone earning more than $1 million a year, regardless of the source of the money or the amount of deductions he is entitled to, pay a minimum effective tax rate of 30 percent.

If the Buffett Rule had been in effect last year, Romney’s tax burden would have doubled. So would Warren Buffett’s, I assume. But in Buffett’s case, so what? Consider how much money he’s already made from government intervention in the marketplace, another $7 million in taxes would seem like a very cheap price to pay.

Remember Buffett’s investment in Goldman Sachs? His holding company, Berkshire Hathaway, has already pocketed about $1 billion from that one deal. And it was all made possible thanks to a government-financed bailout. Not exactly free enterprise at work.

Interestingly enough, it looks as though Buffett’s next acquisition may also be found dining at the government trough. Here are three companies he expressed an interest in last year:

  • Energy producer Exelon Corp., which has numerous ties to the Obama Administration.
  • General Dynamics Corp., which is the world’s fifth-largest defense company, thanks almost entirely to its deals with Uncle Sam.
  • Archer Daniel Midland Co., the giant agriculture concern, which profits enormously from government subsidies for ethanol, corn syrup and many of its exports.

Take away the sweetheart deals all of these companies have with Uncle Sam, and their stock prices would collapse overnight. They would disappear from Buffett’s buy list in the blink of an eye.

Those are some of the things that are wrong with the budget Obama submitted. Can I say anything good about it?

Yes. There isn’t a hope in Hades that it will be approved.

Last year, when the Senate finally agreed to vote on Obama’s budget for fiscal year 2012, not a single Senator voted in favor of it. The $1.3 trillion measure was rejected 0-97. This year’s campaign document — I mean budget — won’t fare much better.

If the Senate won’t pass Obama’s budget, what are the chances they will come up with one of their own? After all, they’re required by law to do so, aren’t they?

Well, the Senate hasn’t passed a budget resolution for the past three years. Why should this year be any different? After all, if the Senate actually puts something down in writing, the Senators will have to defend it in the fall elections. Who can blame them for wanting to avoid that?

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said last year, “It would be foolish for us to do a budget at this stage.” We’ll soon find out if he feels any differently this year.

It seems like the plan continues to be “spend and spend, tax and tax, elect and elect.” That’s been the strategy of the big spenders in Washington since it was first enunciated by Harry Hopkins, back in the early days of Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s reign. I’m sure Obama sees no reason to change it now.

If we can’t change the plan, then we’ve got to change the planners.  What are you doing to make that happen?

Until next time, keep some powder dry.

Outright capitalism works basically like a game of monopoly: the money supply gets concentrated in one spot. To prevent that from happening the government has a role to play. How much? The gap between rich and poor will tell you.

    • Len Miller

Lou, you have it right. The Tax Code has always been used to promote certain interests. Examples: charitable deductions to foster gifts to charities; deferred income to foster savings; farm subsidies; oil depletion allowances; depreciation rules, etc., etc, It is unfortunate that we have so many people in this country with such hatred toward the President that they are blinded from reality.

      • DaveH

Yep. We should make the tax system “Fair”. Every adult should be liable for the same amount. No favoritism. No strings. No tax hoops to jump through. No people, who have No-Skin-in-the-game, getting to vote for how the money is spent.

      • Big Red

What reality are you talking about? I don’t hate Obama, I hate his policy’s I’m not a socialist. Socialism does not work for the greater of man kind. Look at Europe today what do they have to show for hundred of years under the socialist form of government.
I ask you would Europe have the standard of living today if America wasn’t born two+ hundred years ago?
Was it capitalism or socialism that gave us the standard of living we have today both here in America & Europe?
Would we have had the industrial revolution under socialism? I think not.

Governments ONLY role is to keep people from taking wealth by force or fraud. Capitalism does not work like monopoly because in RL (real life) chance has nothing to do with the creation of wealth and much less to do with the collection of wealth.

“Businesses pay 35 percent of their profits in taxes.“ Is that right, Mr. Chip Wood? Even after taking advantage of loop holes and deductions? How can we believe what you say if you can’t be honest?

You should be thanking businesses for taking advantage of all the legal deductions they can. If they didn’t they would pass on the extra tax to YOU.

Businesses don’t pay taxes. YOU the customer pays any and all taxes.

Karl Marx coined the phrase, “dictatorship of the proletariat” and Lenin refined this statement to say the party was the “vanguard of the proletariat”. The chairman of the central committee is the dictator of the party and nation in socialist countries.
The key to understanding Obama’s Marxism is the statement Lenin made in 1924 when he called for socialists and Islamists to unite to “defeat western imperialism”.
Socialists exploit democracy in order to abolish it.
The so-called dictatorship of the proletariat is ruled by “democratic centralism”.
The party leader rules between party congresses (delegates are hand-picked by the party) and this not only exposes the lie of “democratic socialism” but the origins of the cult of personality that gave rise to monsters like Stalin and Mao.

I hope we are all sufficiently perceptive and informed here to know that the USSR never practiced communism. It used its ideals and ideology to establish an aristocracy for the nomenklatura. This élite consisted of almost one million people, all living high off the rest of the country.

The ruling class claimed to be leading the country to rule by everyone–both agricultural and urban laborers, yet they never gave evidence of devising policies that would accomplish such a goal. Their real objective was simply to remain in their position of privilege, whatever their doing so might cost the country.

      • Vigilant

        COAL MINER,

I couldn’t care less about the origins of communism, as if that has ANYTHING to do with your advocation of modern Marxism/Leninism. What is your point?

Statism, and not the church, was responsible for the killing of tens of millions of people in the 20th century. Communism in all its forms (and I include the former Soviet Union) continues to foment trouble and continues to support the bad guys, i.e., statist regimes throughout the world.

FYI, communism as a practical survival mechanism arose many centuries before Christianity.

P.S. Learn how to copy and paste in some grammatically correct and clear form.

I hope we are all sufficiently perceptive and informed here to know that EVERY nation that has ever consistently relied on Capitalism and democratic principles has raised its populace to levels of prosperity never achieved by any nation relying on socialistic principles.

      • Homer

Unsubstantiated claims clearly contrary to fact are not helpful.

Civil tones and words are. For that I commend you.

Note that I did not limit my description of aristocratic privilege to communism. Unfettered, laissez-faire capitalism led us to near collapse in the early 20th century just as it is now.

The most prosperous countries today (and I qualify the statement by including in prosperity an anti-aristrocratic framework in which policy provides for EVERY citizen, not just the privileged) are Japan, Germany, France, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, etc. With all its problems stemming from failure to deal with the international euro, the economy of the EU is larger than that of the US. China, with all its poverty and corruption, is rising at a rate at which it will soon surpass us–unless we restructure our economy so that we rebuild and modernize our creaking infrastructure, strengthen the anti-trust laws, break up companies “too big to fail” rather than indulge them in exchange for their favor$, force intense competition among companies seeking consumer dollars and not unproductive exchanges of paper, invest in an infrastructure that facilitates business production and trade at home, etc., etc.

What makes capitalism work is intense competition and growing demand. Control of our economy and government by über corporations capable of dictating policy to our government and to us, and formulating policy that lowers the taxes of the wealthiest of the greedy while subsidizing them at the expense of the rest of us is corporatism–not capitalism as we were taught.

It also helps to understand that capitalism is neither an ideology nor a religion. Yet, the corporatocracy has somehow convinced many angry white Americans that conservatism = aristocracy = capitalism = privilege for the wealthy and punishment for the poor. As an aside, do you think that conservatives are energized by the prospect of punishing the poor?

I see little difference between the aristocracy in the USSR and the aristocracy now taking root in the US. The names have been changed to protect the mendacious.

If it were true that a government dedicated to protecting the wealthy from the poor leads to more productivity by the privileged wealthy and more jobs among the lower classes, then Mexico, Nigeria, and countries of their ilk would be shining stars of conservative success. After, all, they follow the policies our privileged few guarantee us will lift us all to prosperity.

We should know better. The Great Depression and its causes are an illustration of how little we Americans learn from recent history.

Finally, why worry about our multimillionaires and billionaires? They can take care of themselves without our going further into debt for them. They do not create jobs; to the contrary, much of their success lies in cutting jobs and shipping others abroad. And what I want for our country is Americans caring for and supporting Americans.

Name-calling reflects not on the target but on the source. Argument grounded in reality and fact, on the other hand, cannot defend policies that strengthen the corporatocracy that now controls one party and is increasingly getting a grasp on the other.

Why do conservatives believe that hateful character assassination is persuasive? We need jobs and policies that rebuild our country–not personal attacks. If you disagree, please say why.

The American people need policies that rebuild our infrastructure, channel revenues now derived from speculation, hedging, etc., into investments that build demand. Until the American people see their wages go up and unemployment go down, they will continue to lack the purchasing power needed to attract ventures that create jobs. As jobs are created, purchasing power rises and more venture capital comes into the economy to create still more jobs.

No aristocracy would want increased power from the lowest strata of the society, however, since such power challenges its own.

      • Ellen

Homer, You are correct about jobs, purchasing power and venture capital. Are you aware that government spending wasn’t cut and consumer spending has gone back to pre-2008 levels, but our economy is still in trouble because venture capitalists are sitting on their money? Why? Because of Obama’s policies. There is uncertainty of Obamacare’s added costs and of Obama’s desired tax increases. Without their capital, our economy can’t begin real growth.

      • Vigilant

Homer steps in it/on it again when he says, “No aristocracy would want increased power from the lowest strata of the society, however, since such power challenges its own.”

You have perfectly described the Progressive/socialist mindset with that statement. When the left (Democrats) discovered that they could no longer keep African Americans in check by blocking voter rights legislation, they realized they could keep them in chains by making them dependent upon the government through wealth redistribution schemes.

The success of that tack was so encouraging that they have now expanded it to about half of the population. Moreover, they are now willing to buy votes at the expense of national security by failing to secure the borders and offering amnesty to illegal aliens. As if that weren’t enough, they want to keep the unemployed on the dole and rob the social security fund (again) via payroll tax reductions. All the while stoking the fires of class warfare to attain their nefarious ends.

The intent is clear: when the tipping point is reached (and it’s in sight), we will have a single party government into perpetuity. At that point, the cows will come home when the Federal debt cannot be paid, inflation runs wild and we will have a “Greek” situation. There’s a reservation for you in your local FEMA camp.. .

Some great scenario, eh Mr. Alinsky?

Agreed. And the ONLY party who’s history and platform constantly backs policies that are Constitutional and follow the principles of individual freedom and individual responsibility is the Libertarian Party. When Government gets out of the way all your corporatocracys fall since they can only maintain their control of the consumer/worker thru the power of government regulations.

Governments only job is to protect the people from force and fraud. The 2 actions that violate free will.

      • DaveH

        Right on, Vicki.

  • Homer Ferguson

No, revenues do not go down when taxes on the wealthiest people in any society goes up. During the Eisenhower, the top tax bracket on taxable income varied from 90-92% , and yet the middle class grew while wealth increased for what was then a person at the top: the millionnaire.

The truth is that classical conservatism has always defended only domination by an aristocracy in a society structured so that wealth, power, and resources flowed up–not down.

This is what is happening in the US today. The Constitution as I understand it is supposed to undergird a society in which elected officials represent only their constituents. Not today. Especially true for the GOP, elected officials represent those who “contribute” most to their campaigns. Since these “contributors” seldom reside in the district or state of the official, the favors they buy are unconstitutional. Indeed, many people who “serve” on the incestuous boards of directors of trans-global corporations are not even American citizens.

Aristocracy is privilege. It eschews truth. It lacks compassion. Its sole purpose is to perpetuate itself.

Why would any patriotic American defend our aristocracy–a coporatocray–from the American people?

    • 101stRECON68

Homer, as I have stated before on this site, our problems have gone far beyond whether it’s the fault of republicans or democrats. Both are equally to blame for our current situation. Term limits would be outstanding and I think would definately follow the ideas of our founding fathers. But how can they be implemented? Government has gotten so out of control and so montrously huge, how can a mob of opposing political people focus enough to get anything done about it? Those in power love to keep us at each others throats so we can never organize against them, but so many can’t see past their PARTY nose to grasp this. I hope for but do not see a pleasant end to all of this and truly feel we are in for a terrible and deadly journey ahead. “By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail”
      B. Franklin

    • Vigilant

Homer shows his leftist programming when he says, “The truth is that classical conservatism has always defended only domination by an aristocracy in a society structured so that wealth, power, and resources flowed up–not down.”

Obviously, an adherent to the communist Howard Zinn’s warped view of history. And blinded to the facts as well.

Today’s Conservative wants to reduce the reach of government into our affairs, to get out of the way of the wealth- and job producers in this country, and fosters the notion of individual freedom.

Conservatism seeks a return to the respect for the founding principles of the Constitution as the Law of the Land, unlike Progressivism that seeks to bypass and stymie the Constitution through activist judges, executive orders, unaccountable Czars and regulatory agencies.

True Conservatives want fiscal responsibility, balanced budgets, and understand that SPENDING REDUCTIONS, NOT CONFISCATORY TAXATION, are the key to jump starting a faltering economy.

It has not been Conservative but Progressive measures that have facilitated the strangulation of free enterprise, regulated and taxed the business entity into leaving the country and made it almost impossible for small businesses to start up.

It has been the hand of Progressivism that has sought to enslave the people by creating perpetual dependencies through government largesse and unconstitutional wealth redistribution.

You are obviously the product of public so-called “education.” Wake up, take off your blinders and smell the tea.

Vigilant, wasn’t it the communist Howard Zinn’s revisionist history books that were discovered some time back being used as part of the history educational material in our school system? If memory serves me , I think you may have even been the one that originally posted that alert here at PLD a year or two ago.

      • Vigilant

Jeff, I got onto the Howard Zinn kick after Eric Bischoff started quoting passages, etc., about a year ago. I was aware that the communists followers of Zinn were placing his scurrilous and totally biased works in schools, but I don’t know if I mentioned it at the time.

        The movement continues (from Wikipedia):

“In 2008, the Zinn Education Project was launched to support educators using A People’s History of the United States as a source for middle and high school history. The Project was started when a former student of Zinn, who wanted to bring Zinn’s lessons to students around the country, provided the financial backing to allow two other organizations to coordinate the Project. The Project hosts a website that has over 85 free downloadable lesson plans to complement A People’s History of the United States.”

Is it any wonder we see so many programmed socialists coming out of the public schools?

Then you have the gall to say, “Especially true for the GOP, elected officials represent those who “contribute” most to their campaigns.”

      Were you born yesterday?

Did you miss the illegal bailout of GM, in which the unions were favored over the bondholders as payback for campaign contributions? If you want to talk about representing contributors, go to http://www.opensecrets.org/orgs/list.php to see who are the all-time high donors to political campaigns.

Did you miss the packing of the NLRB to favor unions and illegally coerce the Boeing Corp. into abandoning the plant building in SC because it’s a right to work state?

Were you out to lunch when high contributors were lavished with taxpayer dollars to perpetuate inefficient and unprofitable solar energy projects?

The list could go on, but in your “true believer” mind, you will never admit that BOTH sides of the aisle have engaged in corporate cronyism.

Homer says “No, revenues do not go down when taxes on the wealthiest people in any society goes up. During the Eisenhower, the top tax bracket on taxable income varied from 90-92% , and yet the middle class grew while wealth increased for what was then a person at the top: the millionnaire”.
What has a growing middle class (if it even did) have to do with demonstrating that higher taxes do not mean less revenue?
Here is a time chart comparing income tax rates to individual tax receipts as a percentage of GDP:
      http://www.heritage.org/BudgetChartbook/income-tax-receipts

Above all, it’s not the taxes — it’s the SPENDING that counts. Whether Government spends money based on current receipts or on borrowing, it still comes out of our pockets eventually.

Once these vermin get in office it is almost impossible to get them out. We have to start pushing for term limits and when you want to run for a different office you give up the one your in. Look anyone today with a pay of $175,000.00 a year plus great benefits does not want to lose that job and will promise anything to anyone to keep it. How about they all become part time employees and no more benefits once out of office think of the savings.
We have to get as loud as the opposition or we are doomed. The people who are living on Gov. hand outs out number the producers so this is not going to be easy but if not done now it may never be possible.

Yet you constantly disrespect Ron Paul, who is the only candidate to have predicted the economic decline long before it started and has put forth a plan to end it. Please explain your reasoning.

Mr. Livingston, you predict disaster by the election of the more liberal than you President Obama. There is a long line of folks on the right that have been predicting such since 1932. “Democrats are socialist who cannot run the free market society and electing one will ruin the nation” goes the old conservative lie for 80 years! We kept electing those “socialist” and guess what has happened? We wound up the number one nation in the world? How in H*ll did that happen? It happened because we have kept Ron Paul fiscal policies out of the White House and have come back from the economic policies of Hoover, Nixon and Bush II. This is a great big country and getting bigger everyday and “thinking small” will only keep us from answering the problems of “getting bigger population wise everyday’! How many rich people would be “less than rich” after they paid the proposed Federal income tax increase on them????? Do you know of anyone who has ever starved to death in this country from paying federal income tax??

BTW, is there a method whereby a person can enter a post here in such a manner that there can be no “reply” to it? Or is it determined by the site managers as to when “replys” are ended? Just asking!

      • DaveH

This country became the wealthiest in the world, NC, because our founders formed the most Freedom-oriented society in the history of the world. It takes time to deplete that wealth. Our wealth has persisted despite Socialist encroachment on our Freedom, but we are already starting to lose our wealth. See this chart:
        http://www.davemanuel.com/median-household-income.php
As you can see, the median household income has been dropping since 1999 (adjusted for inflation). And that is probably a rosy picture, since the actual inflation rate is most likely much higher than the Government’s purposely artificially low figures.
When I was a young man, my wife and I were able to buy an 1800 square foot home in a nice neighborhood for less than 2 times our annual family income, with me being a recent new hire. We were making $17,000/yr and our home cost $27000. Try to do that now, even with the collapse in the housing market.

      • DaveH

And I’ve posted this link many times, NC. Obviously you have never bothered to study it:
        http://heritage.org/index/ranking
It clearly proves that the countries with the Biggest Governments have the Poorest Economies. Note that we are now ranked 10th in the world. Even Chile, once a backward third-world country, is now Freer than we are.
Especially note those countries at the bottom of the list, those with the Biggest Governments who also have the worst economies in the world. That’s not coincidence.
With Socialism only the Leaders and their Pals prosper. The rest of us lose, especially those with no real skills. When the country’s economy inevitably collapses under Socialism, and their votes are no longer needed, those with no real skills are inevitably thrown under the bus.

      • Vigilant

n c, your grasp of history is abysmally poor. The inordinate social spending and policies by both Nixon and Bush II were definitely NOT based on the fiscally responsible principles of Ron Paul, nor were those presidents true Conservatives by any stretch of the imagination..

      • DaveH

A couple of weeks ago, a Liberal thought he was pretty clever pointing out that Hong Kong had an 18% poverty rate. So I looked up the facts and found that they did indeed, but their poverty rate is defined at one half of their median household income.
What is their median household income?
For Hong Kong, It was $31,000 on a Purchasing Power Parity basis in 2005.
So, their household income (family of 3 on a PPP basis) at the poverty level was $15,500.
Let’s compare that to Cuba, a Socialist Paradise right off our shores:
The median household income (family of 3 on a PPP basis) in Cuba in 2005 was $9000. So the average family (not just the poor) in Cuba lives on less than 5/8 of the income that the “poor” families in Hong Kong live on.
Why would anybody in their right minds strive for Socialism?

If the Senate won’t pass Obama’s budget, what are the chances they will come up with one of their own? After all, they’re required by law to do so, aren’t they?

I thought the House was the one to actually write the budget. The Senate only agrees or not and then conference committee or some such. Even Obama can only propose a budget. Not actually write one.

    • Andrew1554

Last year the Republican House passed some twenty cost cutting bills and a budget, the Democrat Senate failed to do their job and even bring them up for debate.

      • Paku

That is because either they were useless bills or they wanted to tack on something that had nothing to do with the bill. The republians today are out of touch with America and they do not care if they have to throw Grandma or Grandpa under the bus. They created this mess and now they try and spin all the blame on the current administration. My congratulations, Betty, on the clarity with which you see though the propaganda purchased by SUPERPACs and the greedy wealthy (not all the wealthy are greedy, of course; there are the Warren Buffets in our society who care about our Constitutional principle and about the well-being of the vast majority of us) seeking to establish a permanent aristocracy in the form of a corporatocracy in this country.

Please understand that our elected officials are under the gun almost every day NOT to communicate with their Constitutional constituents (those in their states and districts) like you and me, even though, under our Constitution, they are elected to act on policies devised to lift up the hard-working, underpaid wage earner. Rather, they are constantly under duress to submit their services to the wealthiest people in the history of mankind. If such elected officials fail those with the money, influence, and power, not only will they be denied the funding provided by this élite, but they will also find that this élite has found someone else to oppose them in the next election.

The problem with a libertarian like Ron Paul is that he would do nothing to arrest the laissez faire abuses possible in an environment that does nothing to protect the consumer or the wage-earner from the piling on by the corporatist aristocracy. With no entity to take our side, this aristocracy will take deep root, and we will know what it is like to live as do people in third-world countries.

      • Jeep

Homer, your lack of understanding towards Constitutional principles is astounding! Please, enlighten the unwashed masses and show me were the Constitution promises “policies devised to lift up the hard-working, underpaid wage earner?” Exactly where is that in the Constitution?

I might also add that the Democratically controlled House should propose the budget, after all that is where they start. However, this particular democratically controlled House apparently sees no need for any type of budget. I would guess that is because they refuse to be constrained to live within one. Sound familiar? It should…there was a movie some time back (in the 1970′s) called “King of Hearts” about the inmates who ran the asylum. I believe it’s also called the House of Representatives.

Uh, the House is controlled by the Republicans.

      • stopspending4

Dems control the Senate and pres, Repubs control the house. That is why others have pointed out that the House has submitted budgets and cost cutting bills and the Senate will not even bring it up for discussion. King Harry is afraid if it is brought for discussion, either it will be approved or the Dems will look bad voting it down. They might have to explain to their loyal followers why they can not accept a budget or the other bills. Has nothing to do with whether the bills are lame. If they think they are lame, they bring them up, make changes and pass a new budget or bill. Dems won’t do that.

  • s c

Are we talking about the same Anointed Liar who waited for OVER 3 years to submit a budget? I do have to agree with you, Chip. A so-called ‘leader’ who waits that long for a budget to be “important” is a) anything but a leader and b) has made America suffer even more than FDR for over 3 years and c) might make a great W H tour guide but has no more business being in the W H than I have performing brain surgery.
While there may be a handful of braindead utopians who will take the time to put together a master list of what Obummer has really done, I’ll be amazed if the hype side of that list isn’t 10 times longer than the reality side. Utopians, a promise is NOT the truth. A promise in Washington is a third-rate LIE, and it main users are people America can’t afford to have within 1,000 miles of Washington.
I never thought I’d prefer Al Capone over what we have now, but I admit it. Al, where are you? Your experience in BUSINESS is head-and-shoulders over and above the Anointed Liar’s ability to get anything done in business. If anyone can get their hands on a transcript, see if The Anointed Liar took even one course in business or economics at Haavid. Or in Shecawger. Or through the mail.
Some people think community organizing is equal to business experience. That’s like saying that wishin’ and a hopin’ are the same as RESULTS. That may be ‘reality’ in a utopian’s world, but only children and self-deluded losers keep themselves wrapped in that damned blanket.
America is at stake. This is NOT simply ‘Republicans’ versus ‘Democrats.’
This is right versus wrong. This is freedom versus slavery. This is our LAST chance to put America back on its freedom-based, constitutional moorings. Alice , this Politically Correct BS only goes so far . Obama is a total waste as a president and it is clear that he has no regard for the American People or Country . His campaign slogan of hope and change was a canard to cover his goal of changing America from a Republic under a Democratic for of government to that of a Communist Dictatorship with himself as the new Idi Obama , president and DICTATOR for Life .
You say you are scared of Rick Santorum , why ? Because of his religious convictions ? I would be more afraid of Obama for his total lack of them . His total disregard of our Constitution and ignoring the long held concept of ‘ seperation of church and state . Add to that the fact that he is an illegally elected president according to the Constitution (both parents must be citizens) and his constant attacks by himself , his cabinet and his lackeys on said Constitution show exactly what his agenda is . Already he has supported and waged class warfare on the American People , eroded our World credit rating , squandered taxpayer funds with ill advised loans and investments in green technology and driven our cost of living index up along with fuel costs . Had ANY white president done this the hue and cry would be outrageous .
No Alice , it is not his race or lack of one , it is his being totally unfit and unqualified to be a president of anything . I know it , Americans know it , even he knows it . And I suspect perhaps even you know it , just don’t want to admit it .

Can’t help but go along with Alice here. Obama wasn’t elected because he was (half) black, but because only a confused minority wanted the alternative (McCain/Palin, for those who forget–and if they’d been elected, we’d have 50% unemployment and the corporations would rule even more than they do now). Obama hasn’t been a perfect president but he’s done some good things (among which I place Obamacare at the top of the list), Santorum is scary, a religious fanatic who takes the side of rapists rather than the side of women who need healthcare. I’m sure Jesus loves him, but He would never vote for him.

Thank you Alice.Where were all these people when G.W. Bush was in office. Robbing my 401 K!

Where the hell was the public outcry when G. W. and wall street was robbing me blind in my 401 k.

Hoping to repeat a lie often enough and people will believe you?

I have a 401K and it did just fine under G.W. Bush’s administration. No evidence of robbery there anywhere.

Interestingly the OBAMA administration is planning on forcing you to buy US Government bonds. Got any outrage left for Obama? Or is it ok cause Obama’s people are holding the guns?

Thank you for the links. I watched them and passed them on to many.

You are spot on – we are, and have been – in a constitutional crisis.

How can any fool claim racism, when the immaculate one is as white as he is black. He is the racist, when he claims to be “BLACK”.

What every-one has fotgotten is ,he was not lected for what he believes but what the american public tax payer that pay his salary want. So get off the race card, because you may just get what your asking for . people today are fed up with these comments.

I just read about the “oilogarchy” that plans to buy the presidency for a false conservative that they care nothing about. They just don’t want the pres. to take away their subsidy AND obscene profits.

      • Betty Bacon

That’s right only the rich can buy there way into office. And we go for it everytime. So our next President is going to be Rommey. The BILLONAIRE! Who’s father is also a Billonaire. Want to be President. Hope you have a rich uncle!
