America, The Land Of Obesity
February 7, 2012 by Bob Livingston
Dr. Royal Lee was the founder of the Standard Process Company, famous for its whole-food supplements organically grown on its own farms.
Lee was at least 100 years ahead of his time. He spent most of his life in confrontation with the Food and Drug Administration and U.S. agricultural authorities. He probably never knew that the people trying to channel his great work were the big pharmaceutical houses fronted by the FDA.
Lee didn’t realize at the time that his whole-food formulations were in direct competition to the drug houses. Lee organized a science of nutrition that would have replaced the drug culture, if left alone. He understood that drugs don’t heal, but whole foods do.
Lee died in 1967, a half century before the obesity epidemic that is going on today. But he foresaw our day and the obesity of most of the population.
Lee exposed the sinister racket of fructose corn syrup, which by now is in most of the “sweet” things we eat. Fructose corn syrup is a very inexpensive filler used to sweeten and create filler space to build product volume extremely. It is a very deceptive crime and undermines health. This costs billions of dollars yearly in the United States, and the bill is going up exponentially.
Lee said that fructose corn syrup is not processed by the human body normally. It bypasses the pancreas, causing quick obesity and diabetes. He predicted that within 50 years we would be a Nation of obesity and diabetes.
Can we look out and see it?
Read the labels to see how many products on the grocery store shelves contain fructose corn syrup.
