Research: Silver Kills Cancer

Alternative medicine experts have, for years, talked about the benefits different compounds containing silver can have on the human body; new research says that silver may also combat cancer cells.

Lab tests have shown that silver is as effective as the leading chemotherapy drug in the treatment of cancers and may have fewer side effects. Results from the study at the University of Leeds, published in Dalton Transactions, show that particular silver compounds are as toxic to cancer cells as the platinum-based drug Cisplatin, which is widely used to treat a range of cancers.

The crucial difference between silver and Cisplatin, though, is that silver is thought to be much less toxic to healthy human cells and, in some cases, can be beneficial. Silver is currently used for its antiseptic and antibiotic properties in bandages, wound dressings and water purification filters in many countries.

Dr. Charlotte Willans, who is leading the study, said: “As many are unfortunately aware, chemotherapy can be a very grueling experience for the patient. Finding effective, yet non-toxic drugs is an ongoing problem, but these preliminary results are an important step in solving it. Our research has looked at the structure which surrounds a central silver atom. This ‘shrubbery’ is what determines how reactive it is and what it will interact with. Our research has used different types of these ligands to see which is the most effective against cancer cells.”

    I read with great curiosity the commentaries on cancer treatment. Cancer lives on sugar and iron. It is easy to remove sugar from our diet. However, without some iron, we are inviting health problems.
    I have been called upon to treat patients near death, 4th stage. Just by using medical grade vitamin C given by IV in massive doses these patients have recovered. How large were the doses? 100gms given on Mon-Wed and Fri. Sometimes, this therapy continued for six weeks to regain full health and mobility.
    Their diet was severely restricted. Sugar in all forms was eliminated, including those foods that turn to sugar when in the body. That would be all grains-white rice and corn and related foods. White potatoes are initially removed for the same reason. Later in the therapy baked white potatoes are permitted with salt and pepper and real organic butter, limit two small/day.

    I am sure that everyone reading this has heard of the so-called crisis due to the shortage of methotrexate they are using in large doses to treat children with leukemia.

    There is a protocol I have used called IPT. Insulin is used along with methotrexate. Both are used in small doses, given by IV. First, the insulin, followed a few minutes later by the methotrexate.
    With the amount of methotrexate they are using to treat a child with leukemia one could cure many by following the guidelines for IPT.

    There are many cancer cures in alternative medicine, as an example there is Avemar, graviola just to name two.

    Several years past, I had a drug-resistant E-Coli bladder infection. After seeing two other doctors and after taking three different anti-biotics, I was referred to a bladder specialist. This specialist took a urine specimen and told me to come back in a week. In a week, I returned to the doctor’s office, and he told me my urine specimen showed I had no bladder infection. He exmined me again looking into my bladder. He said I looked very red inside, but he did not know why. This specialist told me I should go to OHSU in Portland, Oregon, but he refused to give me a referral. He told me I should just get in to OHSU by myself, which is not possible. I went home that day in terrible pain. I had already baeen to urgent care, so I had no other doctor to help me. I went to my bed sick and suffering terrible pain.I had no help. My daughter called and told my husband to go to Fred Meyer’s and buy a bottle of Collodiol Silver, which he did. My husband gave me two tablespoons of Collodiol Silver, and when I awoke in the morning, I had absolutely no pain at all. I took Collodiol Silver for the next ten days, and This Collodiol Silver cured my drug resistant E-Coli bladder infection. The Collodiol Silver I bought at Fred Meyer saved my life. Afterward, I did get a yeast infection though. I have since that time bought a large bottle of mesosilver from a company called “Purest Collodiols” in New Jersey. I have not used this new silver product yet. I have learned that the silver product I bought at Fred Meyer was not true Collodiol Silver, but it had enough silver to save my life. I have a new doctor now.

      Right on! Cancer feeds on sugar. I eliminated all sugar, sweetners, fruit and refined flour (which turns to sugar) from my diet. When I eat it, my cancer die off stops. I used herbdoc (Dr. Richard Schulze’s “To Save Your Life” method nearly 20 years ago to heal myself from my 2nd “incurable” illness when my specialist sent me home to die. He also teaches how to make your own medicines which I have been doing for nearly 20 years. Don’t do conventional medicine any more…it doesn’t work. Nutrition is key in healing and preventing illness.

      One problem with what you say. how do you explain the guys n gals that eat what you would call junk food all their life, live to a ripe old age, maintain a healthy weight, and never come down with cancer?? I am more likely to believe a lot of it is determined by each individuals bodily resistance to cancer. my father got prostate cancer and he ate junk food for ever. Course he got cancer at almost 89 years old. he died at 90, 165 pounds good color, clear mind, and other than being tired and having abated appetite you would have a hard time telling he had cancer. he simply went to sleep and didn’t wake up. If that’s how I go, I’ll have no complaints.

      Joe,
      EVerybody’s body has the ability to fight cancer cells. In fact everyone does every day. If you read the websites that I listed and go to the websites they link to you find that the body starts to lose and cancer progresses when the cells are in an anaerobic condition where they do not get enough oxygen. This happens when you acidify the body with things like cokes and coffee. As Diane said, cancer feeds on sugar. Things such as candy, cokes, cakes and the like. I believe that diabetes is caused by bad oils and not enough omega 3 and can be cured. In fact I cured mine using the information available on the web (also high blood pressure and bad LDL/HDL ratio). Weight almost does not have to do with powerful health. If one consumes less calories then they are eating he will not gain weight, but is not necessarily healthy. Carrots and beets have cancer killing nutrients in them and go directly into the cancer cells because they are sugar.

      I hope you aren’t auguring that the most of america is not obese and in poor health from junk food. Just look around at people while you are out. We spend more money on pills and are not any healthier. Most our health problems are things like heart and cardiovascular disease cause by poor eating habits.

      So if you want to eat bad that is your choice, go for it. I needed to start eating better because unlike your father, i ate junk food all my life and ended up overweight, high blood pressure, diabetes, bad cholesterol and figured cancer was next.

      There are other factors to cancer such as toxins and pollution also.

        i was simply questioning her statement that junkfood is the case of cancer! nothing more, nothing less!! i have tried a good many of the ‘natural cures” that have been listed in this and other threads here. Some have worked, some not! I still maintain a lot of illnesses depend on your body and it differs from person to person. something that worked wonders for you might not work for me or just a mild difference.

    Back in 1956 there was a couple living in Idaho who had used some type of nose drops back in the 1930′s and it had turned them SMURF BLUE! I met them when I was 17 years old and have never forgotten them. They were a wealthy couple and they dressed expensively, drove new cars, had all the trappings of wealth, but BEING BRIGHT BLUE set them part from their peers. They were not grey or purple, they were BLUE!

    If it works, use it. If it doesn’t work, don’t use it. The ‘new’ silver is supposedly safe.
    This topic is one of many that is ignored in medical schools (they’re too busy learning about cash flow and how to suck up to the AMA and the FDA). The idea of ‘do no harm’ isn’t considered pc.

      Interesting thought, research has proved that cancer has an affinity for sugar. Perhaps insulin which helps in the metabolization of sugar would be antagonistic to cancer. There are lots of cancer cures out there, many of them suppressed, because cancer is big money and to Hell with human suffering!

        I found plenty good information on natural cures for different kinds of cancer, that I used to keep my wife alive for a year past the “expiration date” her doctor estimated when she went into hospice. Her cancer was not cured but it was stopped in it’s tracks until she decided to stop taking what I was giving her because she wanted to return to eating junk food and refused any kind of treatment.         I have cancer everywhere, from brain, to bones to pancreas. I have been on my alternative cancer protocol for 27 months and am beating it.     Laus Deo, I doubt that you have run into this problem yet, but are you aware that long-term consumption of colloidal silver CAN turn your skin blue, permanently? This HAS been proven, so may want to consider it.

      that’s only from protein based silver with high ppm, 10k-20kppm and above. not a problem with ionic type silver.

      Silver does not do anything to your skin, and it certainly never turned anyone BLUE! As it does with many other contaminates, your body gets rid of excess silver by passing it out through the pores of your skin. Pores average about “4 microns” in size so any silver particle larger than that can’t pass through, and is trapped underneath the skin. Over time, a buildup of such particles can produce a grayish (not blue) palor of the skin, and that is the source of this bit of misinformation.

      Colloidal silver, properly produced is filtered through a “1 micron” filter, so this problem is no problem at all. I’ve made and consumed colloidal silver for YEARS and my cheeks are still pinkish-yellow, just as they were when I started. The same is true for everyone else I know who uses colloidal silver, even those who buy it at some health-food store…

      The blue man that is so frequently held up as proof of why we shouldn’t use silver used ultra-high dose, large size silver that was combined with a protein. Pure, small size silver used at normal recommended doses does not turn you blue.

      We have taken colloidal silver for ten years . It does not turn you blue. The drug companies want you to believe that it does. The blue man by his own admission made it wrong. We have had marvelous results and have never got the flu or a serious infection. Please get your info straight before you make hearsay statements. It can be a life saver.
