Soros: Romney, Obama The Same

February 2, 2012 by

Soros: Romney, Obama The Same

Billionaire investor George Soros in an interview with Reuters last week pointed out what many conservatives have been afraid to admit to themselves as the Republican Presidential primary drags on: Mitt Romney and Barack Obama really aren’t that different.

“Well, look, either you’ll have an extremist conservative, be it Gingrich or Santorum, in which case I think it will make a big difference which of the two comes in,” he said. “If it’s between Obama and Romney, there isn’t all that much difference except for the crowd that they bring with them.”

Soros went on to say that he believes Romney would have to have Newt Gingrich or Rick Santorum as a Vice President to really make much of a conservative impact. He said he does, however, believe that Romney will change tax policy in the favor of wealthy Americans.

This is, of course, my opinion. If you want status quo and the continuing destruction of America, then go ahead and continue voting for the status quo. If you want more government and corporate greed and corruption, then vote for the status quo. If you don’t mind that members of congress are involved in insider trading but told it is legal for them but is illegal for you, then vote for the status quo. If you don’t mind living in a police state and can be disappeared or black bagged, then vote for the status quo. If you want continued banker bailouts and robbery of we the people, then vote for the status quo. If you don’t care that your dollar is continually being devalued and you have to pay more at the grocery store and gas pump, then vote for the status quo. If you don’t mind losing your home, car and job, then vote for the status quo. If you want open borders and immigration amnesty, then vote for the status quo. If you want more corruption and death of innocents like during Fast and Furious, then vote for the status quo. If you want the FDA telling you what to eat, drink, then vote for the status quo. If you want forced vaccinations and big pharma to test their drugs on you and your family, then vote for the status quo. If you want your children’s education corrupted by big government, then vote for the status quo. If you want states giving your children vaccinations without your knowledge, then vote for the status quo. If you want to see the total destruction of the family unit and the federal government raising your children, then vote for the status quo. If you want government to tell you which church you can go to and what to believe in, then vote for the status quo. If you want continued murder of children through abortions as a method of birth control, then vote for the status quo. If you want class warfare, then vote for the status quo. If you want the TSA to continue to stick their hands all over you, then vote for the status quo. If you want government intrusion and spying into every aspect of your life, then vote for the status quo. If you work for the government as a regular person and don’t mind if they dip into your retirement benefits, then vote for the status quo. If you want a China style internet, then vote for the status quo. If you want to live in a fascist society, then vote for the status quo. If you want never ending wars, then vote for the status quo. If you don’t care if a vulture capitalist comes in and destroys your business and everybody loses their jobs, then vote for the status quo. If you don’t care that all our jobs are outsourced, then vote for the status quo. If you are confused about who to vote for, follow the money people and that alone will tell you who should get your vote and who shouldn’t. But if you are sick and tired of trumped up wars, want to return to the gold standard, want a balanced budget, a smaller government and freedom then you only have one choice…Ron Paul. Ron Paul is the man I will be voting for. You need to make your own choice and I hope you make right one because the next four years, following the election, will be the most important decision you will make in your life time.

Perhaps the most important of these “whistle blowers”
are David Horowitz and Richard Poe. Their book “The Shadow Party” outlines in detail how Soros hijacked the Democratic Party, and now owns it lock, stock, and barrel.

Soros has been packing the Democratic Party with radicals, and ousting moderate Democrats for years.

The Shadow Party became the Shadow Government, which became the Obama Administration.

DiscoverTheNetworks.org (another good source) writes, “By his [Soros'] own admission, he helped engineer coups in Slovakia , Croatia , Georgia , and Yugoslavia . When Soros targets a country for “regime change,” he begins by creating a shadow government , a fully formed government-in-exile, ready to assume power when the opportunity arises. The Shadow Party he has built in America greatly resembles those he has created in other countries prior to instigating a coup.”

November 2008 edition of the German magazine “Der Spiegel,”
in which Soros gives his opinion on what the next POTUS (President of the U.S. ) should do after taking office. “I think we need a large stimulus package.” Soros thought that around 600 billion would be about right.

Soros also said that “I think Obama presents us a great opportunity to finally deal with global warming and energy dependence. The U.S. needs a cap and trade system with auctioning of licenses for emissions rights.”

Although Soros doesn’t (yet) own the Republican Party, like he does the Democrats, make no mistake, his tentacles are spread throughout the Republican Party as well.

Soros is a partner in the Carlyle Group where he has invested more than 100 million dollars. According to an article by “The Baltimore Chronicle’s” Alice Cherbonnier, the Carlye Group is run by “a veritable who’s who of former Republican leaders,” from CIA man Frank Carlucci, to CIA head [and ex-President] George Bush, Sr.

In late 2006, Soros bought about 2 million shares of Halliburton, Dick Cheney’s old stomping grounds.

When the Democrats and Republicans held their conventions in 2000, Soros held Shadow Party conventions in the same cities, at the same time.
In 2008, Soros donated $5,000,000,000 to the Democratic National Committee, DNC, to insure Obama’s win and wins for many other Alinsky trained Radical Rules Anti-American Socialist. George has been contributing a $ billion plus to the DNC since Clinton came on the scene.

Soros has dirtied both sides of the aisle, trust me. And if that weren’t bad enough, he has long held connections with the CIA.

And I mustn’t forget to mention Soros’ involvement with the MSM (Main Stream Media), the entertainment industry (e.g.
he owns 2.6 million shares of Time Warner), and the various political advertising organizations he funnels millions to. In short, George Soros controls or influence most of the MSM. Little wonder they ignore the TEA PARTY, Soro’s NEMESIS.

As Matthew Vadum writes, “The liberal billionaire-turned-philanthropist has been buying up media properties for years in order to drive home his message to the American public that they are too materialistic, too wasteful, too selfish, and too stupid to decide for themselves how to run their own lives.”

Richard Poe writes, “Soros’ private philanthropy, totaling nearly $5 billion, continues undermining America ‘s traditional Western values. His giving has provided funding of abortion rights, atheism, drug legalization, sex education, euthanasia, feminism, gun control, globalization, mass immigration, gay marriage and other radical experiments in social engineering.”

Some of the many NGOs (None Government Organizations)
that Soros funds with his billions are: MoveOn.org, the Apollo Alliance , Media Matters for America , the Tides Foundation, the ACLU, ACORN, PDIA (Project on Death In America ), La Raza, and many more. For a more complete list, with brief descriptions of the NGOs, go toDiscoverTheNetworks.org.

Poe continues, “Through his global web of Open Society Institutes and Open Society Foundations, Soros has spent 25 years recruiting, training, indoctrinating and installing a network of loyal operatives in 50 countries, placing them in positions of influence and power in media, government, finance and academia.”

Without Soro’s money, would the Saul Alinsky’s Chicago machine still be rolling? Would SEIU, ACORN, and La Raza still be pursuing their nefarious activities? Would Big Money and lobbyists still be corrupting government? Would our college campuses still be retirement homes for 1960s radicals?

America stands at the brink of an abyss, and that fact is directly attributable to Soros. Soros has vigorously, cleverly, and insidiously planned the ruination of America and his puppet, Barak Obama is leading the way.

  • s c

Get this straight, people. The day that a REAL conservative is afraid to ask a simple question is the day that another RINO or a neocon joins the ‘Republicans.’ We are obligated as conservatives to seek the truth, act in strength, do what we do because we follow the Constitution and never hesitate to put a utopian in his or her or its place. Period.
Are any conservatives out there AFRAID to ask a short, simple question? If you consider yourself a REAL conservative, and if you’re AFRAID to ask a question, YOU HAVE A PROBLEM BETWEEN YOUR EARS.

  • Forrest

Soros? George Soros? Who in the earthly world could everrrrr take his word at anything. he is a straightout warrior that preys on people in a way that is so defineable. George Soros would destroy America if he could out right, only and only through people like Obama can he do so. For a person with his motives no one – repeat no one could ever believe he could everrrrr spell out conservative in a positive way. His motive is to destroy Romney and get him out of the way so Obama can once he is in continue to destry everything every american everrrrr stood for. Through others and not himself – that is George Soros at best on how he can be described. Wake up America get on the band wagon – back to the freedoms that are the greatest in this world as we knew it before Obama came to town, what a piece of work….

  • Earl, QUEENS, NY

There are many nasty attack ads in the GOP primaries. But instead of listening to such attacks, why not just look at the candidates’ records?? Although not my first choice for nominee, we know Newt Gingrich has a positive record from the mid 1990s – winning back GOP control of Congress for the first time in decades, the Contract with America, etc. On the other hand, what (conservative) record does the RINO Mitt-nitwit Romney have?? Romney-care, which is hardly different from Obamacare. Both are unconstitutional and should be repealed – yesterday or sooner!! It seems Nitwit Romney is nothing more than a Nelson Rockefeller, Arnold Schwarzenegger or Charlie Crist. Although a very weak challenger to BHO, John McCain actually seems like a conservative to me when compared to Nitwit!!

As for running on records, perhaps the GOP should point out the foolishness of the American voters who believed in the tooth fairy – that putting democraps back in power would correct the mistakes of the republicans. In other words, what if the voters hadn’t made such foolish mistakes in 2006 and 2008?? Think about it. All Republicans voted against Obamacare. All Republicans (except for 3 nincompoops in the Senate) voted against the failed $800+ billion stimulus/porkulus bill. If I’m not mistaken, John McCain voted against both porkulus and Obamacare. The more I see and hear of this RINO Romney, the more I wish McCain had been elected POTUS in 2008. Again let me point out that I recently saw a caption on the Fox News Channel screen; reading something like – Why would you want to nominate the guy (Romney) who lost to the guy (McCain) who lost to Obama?? The GOP should learn from past mistakes instead of repeating them over and over again. Likewise to all of you who want to defeat BHO and his democraps this year ….. VOTE WISELY!!

  • http://litqoe Lisa Smith

Why would you consider anything Soros says as creditable? He wants to destroy America and have a one world government.

  • Dad

I couldn’t agree more… we are really up the creek in 2012.

I am officially denouncing the establishment GOP (or RINOs)… no wonder we couldn’t get a budget compromise out of these boobs. Like McCain, there isn’t enough contrast between them and a Marxist Kenyan.

What’s changed? The spending keeps going up and our military is being compromised… we are still supporting these unions, illegals, and the rest of the deadbeats.

  • Viet Nam Vet 67-68

    Why is Sorryous still alive??

  • neo truth

The only hope for real positive change is to vote for the only person who has always upheld the constitution: RON PAUL. ALL others are owned by the banks and corporations.
As a side note the clueless responders. Soros is a capitalist; nothing wrong with that. The only socialism present in this contry is corporate welfare and bailouts for banks.

    • s c

Whoa, neo truth. Look up the original meaning of capitalism. While you’re at it, dig and see where the term originated, who ‘created’ it and then do not be so fast to call someone like soros a capitalist.
We have to speak the same language to be able to communicate. Otherwise, we’re just a bunch of fence-sitting utopians and theoretical Republicans who are happy being clueless.

  • JimH

Get out and VOTE in the primaries. With 20% turnout it’s no wonder we have not much of a choice in Nov.

    • PATRIOT 101

It is not enough to “Go out and Vote”! You need to educate yourself on the issues. Then find the candidate that will save America. Only one has a prayer! Without a return to CONSTITUTIONALLY LIMITED GOVERNMENT we will continue (and accelerate) toward a totalitarian Global Dictator!

  • Buck

The United States of America is dead ! Long live the United Socialist States of America . Soros , Obama , Romney are indeed the same species , and that species is extremely adverse to equal freedom , equal liberty , and egual justice . We still have ONE very slim chance , the election of RON PAUL as president , and the chance will still be slim because he won’t have any support from the gutless wonders in the house and senate .

  • Steve

Because most people will not vote for Ron Paul. We are doomed to the same old RINOs of the past. That’s why we get progressives like Mitt and Newt. Republicans compromise their values. and that won’t fix it. I believe God is giving true freedom lovers one last chance to elect Paul, and when we don’t, the U.S. doomsday clock alarm will go off.

    • Eddie

Steve, it’s sad to say, I agree with you.

    • Mary

Yes Steve we are not ready for what’s coming, It’s going to be ugly. The big club is ready and we are not part of it.

  • Bruce D.

Soros is just trolling for people by using his media lapdogs to reach out to people who are easy to manipulate.

  • Wyatt

Well Georgie Soreass , you may be correct but at least he isn’t a Communist like you lap puppy Barry is . And he isn’t out to destroy America . I may not agree with his agenda but he is an improvement over what you foisted off on us in the last election

    • Barbara DeMonte

Please explain how a Republican liberal socialist differs from the Democratic Party version sitting in the Whitehouse now. Mass. Mitt did to Mass. what Obama did to the country, and when he left office he moved to the State next door as to being subjected to the laws he passed as Governor. Why?

  • jOSEPH Whitson

Obama’s agenda of economic implosion in preparation of the
destruction of capitalism, our Constitution, freedoms and way of
life is modeled after the Soros’s group brand of Socialism and
their agenda. With a twist!! Obama has added Islam with its Sharah
Law to his. Think that will partner well with Soros and his group?
Islam and Socialism bed fellows? Think Soros will get a prayer rug?
Who do you think sponsored and bankrolled Obamas rise to the Presidency of the U.S.?

  • Aurelio

Soros is simply throwing a bomb on behalf of the love of his life: Obama. This stems from his socialist-power-hungry-fraudulent mind.
For Soros the left is just the easiest way to gain power: you duped the masses, and they will get behind you. If they try to stray away; you, then, repress them, but quietly, behind the scenes. I saw that first hand in Cuba. Soros is probably the worst SBO around, second only to Al Gore.

  • oldgringo

    Elect Obama…..Vote Newt…..Ann Coulter!

    • ohoh

Sure, Newt and Ann… a couple warfare progressives, and just what Soros would want. Newt, and even Ann recently, are just as bad as Mitt in their own ways. I don’t think I’ll let Soros define “conservative” for me.

  • naxaron

I believe that the know-nothings and the care-nots rule politics and the economy of our nation. How else can you explain the singleminded ignorance displayed by the replies to this article?

  • MJ

Since when has Soros had any credibility with Conservatives, Christians or Republicans?

    • Mary

Because money talk. We have a culture of corruption in the US government. Check out what happen here to the honest people like Darlene Novinger. Find out what she dicovered when she was contract agent for the FBI. We have “political prisoners” their main sin is to tell the truth. Retaliation is what you get if you dare to do your job.

  • thebark

Who cares what Soros thinks! For all the reasons listed above. Anyone of the Republican candidates would be significantly better than the communist dictator that we currently have in office.

    • slapjack

The Obamasoros has never done anything that has created anything to help aid the American economy or this country. He blows smoke up the world’s butt and the mass of libtards eat it up. In my humble opinion we need to Impeach the kenyan imposter and deport Soros after we confiscate his billions to pay us back.

      • gladys

        YEAAAAAA. THAT’S RIGHT…….

    • Porcelain Unicorn

Soros funded and manipulated Obama into office. Didn’t you follow the details before, during, and after the 2008 election, Lisa Smith and Forrest? We should take him VERY seriously in view of his past influence on governments! Check into ACORN, for one thing. Also, he has been buying news media outlets and financing journalist education in the last couple of years. Do some homework!

    • Helen

      You are right.Sandy Kramer!
James, You are giving great comments. Only the ignorant masses can be manipulated with those simpleton analysis about Mitt Romney.

  • Homer

George Soreass is definetly an economic terrorist. He should be banned from participation in any thing American, including ownership of our media in any way shape or form He Hates America and is out to destroy us. He is possibly A LOT more dangerous than any other terrorist. The first thing on the agenda of the incoming Republican President is to command the FCC to disenfranshise any of his communication lisenses to do with media. That way we get his communist ass out of the propagand business of the left wing agenda. Then we should be finding a suitable prison to put the SOB into for life. No self respecting journalist should be quoting this lunatic on any American media.

    • http://www.catherinejfrompovich.com DumbStruck

I’m kinda inclined to agree with you.

    • Mary

Soros will be fine. It doesn’t affect him whatever clown is the president of this country. We are in the point of no return anyway. The future is more Obama. GOP has no candidate. They won’t elect the only one able to do something good for the country. I wish Ron Paul run for president independent. They are more than 800,000 republicans who aren’t republican anymore plus the independents and some democrats will vote for Ron Paul. We are not voting for the less of the two evils anymore. There is not much differences between the traditional parties. People know that and there is no mistake if Mitt is the republican candidate we will have four more years of Obama.

    • Porcelain Unicorn

      Well said.

      • Porcelain Unicorn

        I mean, Well said, Homer.

  • 2WarAbnVet

I’ve often thought that there was little difference between Obama and Obomney. I do have to wonder, however, that if this were true, why is Soros pouring tens of millions of dollars into Democrat coffers to keep Obama in power?

    • eddie47d

Why is Sheldon Adelson spending 15 million to get Gingrich into power? Why is Romney spending many millions of his own money for a $400,000 job. Why do the Koch’s spend millions getting potential politicians elected and influencing policy. They all want something!

      • JeffH

eddie, why do you continually “DEFEND” George Soros? I know why but I’d like to hear your take on it.

A lot of people have, through circumstances, been forced to do heinous things to survive but this is a man who embraced the “Nazi’s” during WWII and has zero regrets. This is the man who turned on his fellow “Jews” during WWII. A moral person, when compared to George Soros, would judge themselves for a lifetime. Without exception a moral person, even though unwillingly, he or she had been complicit in deeply immoral acts, and each would spend a lifetime seeking redemption. Soros has no morals, he hates the Republic known as America and has dedicated his life to screwing countries, their monetary systems and their citizens for two reasons…#1 – pure profit and damn who he screws to get it and #2 – beause he firmly believe his immoral beliefs are what constitutes an “open society”…he is one very evil and twisted individual that has spent his billions to mold countries to is set of ideals for pure profit.

    • http://n/a Scrappy

Because Obama is much dumber than Romney and Romney still has to fight his religious conscience while Obama does NOT have one.

    • Tom Holmes

I’m not sure I would use George Soros’ input for any decision I needed to make. Obama’s lips are firmly stuck to Mr. Soros’ behind, witness the 1B$ grant for Soros to drill off the coast of Brazil. I don’t recall getting a thank you note for picking up that debt??

      • eddie47d

That was a LOAN to Brazil from the Import/Export Bank not from Obama.

      • BarackObama

Eddie,my man. The loan was granted only because the CIC signed an illegal loan guarantee without congressional approval. The US taxpayer is still on the hook for the Chinese loan no matter how you attempt to spin it..

    • http://al@bellaproducts.com al metcalf

Soros supports anyone who will help bring us to the NWO with the New World Currency.
Think back to 1913 when we gave up our currency to the Federal Reserve System, that privately owned Closed Corporation. Back then, prior to the FED, the economic world was controlled by two separate financial powers. The United States was an independent financial power and all of Europe was controlled by the Rotheschild dynasty which gained real power in 1694 with the take over of the finances of England. Where did the FED come from, read the history of the FED, it is all in the book “The Creature from Jekyll Island” by G.E.Griffin and is a great read. The world immediately went to war and all parties borrowed money from the same group to finance it. Who would those financiers be? The same secret owners of the FED of the US, and the Bank of England. After several years of war, each nation needed to rebuild from the devastation. Where did the money come from? Exactly correct, the money was borrowed from the same people who financed the war in the first place. Who supplied the products to rebuild the destroyed countries? The United States was the supplier of the products for reconstruction. It was almost like a game… The US had a tremendous boom economy up until it was close to time for the next war. Then the FED craated a deflation as the bankers took huge profit from the US economy. And now they, the International Bankers, have plenty of cash to finance another World War. And it was easy to get it going too. This time we stood on the sidelines for a while as we sold war supplies to all parties with go betweens in neutral countries. Finally we entered the war on the side of England.
At the end of the conflict the International Bankers decided that they had worked the FED scam as much as they could so they enlarged the pot with the IMF and the World Bank as go betweens separating the FED from those countries that were to be harvested and this scam has been going on for some 100 years now.
The International Banking Cartel has now milked the American Taxpayer as far as they can be milked and it is time to enlarge the pot again. The new pot will be the New World Order with a Triparte of countries backing the new Currency. These countries will be again the U.S.A. with China and Japan, the three largest industrial countries on earth.
Is it working? So far everything is moving in the right direction and George Soros is dealing to become one of the owners of the money control group. All that needs to happen now is for the United States to be driven into Bankruptcy and this is what Soros is in charge of with his fools Obama and the Socialists.
Can we, the American people stop this from happening? Maybe, but it all hinges on the election of a true conservative patriot in 2012. If that happens then we must revoke the charter of the Federal Reserve System and Nationalize it and place our currency back under the control of the U.S. Treasury and on the Gold Standard. Then we must cut the size of the Federal Government by 3/4ths and stop all of this socialism and nation building by our government, otherwise we are headed for the dustbin of history.

    • eliwhit

obama has a few things in place that I do not think that Romney will tolerate! and they will go by the wayside thus twarting Soro and his plan for now. But be ever watchful for he may buy him another one for he is top dog money wise between the 2 of them Romney and himself!

    • Patti
  • http://www.catherinejfrompovich.com DumbStruck

Soros, who supposedly was/is Obama’s backer, seems to be talking out of both sides of his mouth while leaving some shoe leather stuck in between his teeth, I think, and which just may be an orchestrated media event/attempt to get voters confused, especially Republicans who probably will be our only hope for REAL change in the White House after the 2012 general elections.

Having said that, I think Republicans are shooting themselves in the foot by entertaining Gingrich while almost totally abandoning Ron Paul, a member of congress for umpteen years with an extremely pro-liberty and save our constitution/rights platform.

What I don’t understand about about Republican voters at this stage of the election cycle is why they seem to be going after a politician with a supposedly checkered past. How did he treat his ex-wives? Doesn’t that tell you enough about a person’s character, or is a birth certificate the criteria? Why so much money taken from a government agency when Gingrich ‘invented’ the Contract With America”?
Come on, Republicans, get your act together, PLEASE.

    • Porcelain Unicorn

Please check into the past baggage of Santorum and Romney, if you are going to focus on Newt Gingrich’s marital failures. I’m not saying that marriage was the issue with the other candidates. There is not enough space here to elaborate, but PLEASE voters, don’t take these people ar face value. Do some homework! I have not heard anything negative about Dr. Paul morally, but I have read unfavorable predictions of how his agenda would play out. What I do believe about Mr. Gingrich is, that people can and do change throughout their lives. Which of us has not learned from past mistakes? Are we to assume this candidate is different in that regard? Take that a step farther: how much do we know about Obama’s personal life? Have we ever seen any president so protected by the mainstream media? In answer to your question: yes, citizenship eligibility IS a deciding factor according to the constitution of the United States. What one’s former wife said is not. One more thought: consider how Mr. Romney is said to have treated their family dog on a vacation trip. Oh, a dog is insignificant? Well, who else would he deem insignificant, and how would he treat those citizens? If a person is not humane to a family pet, then how will he think about people he cares even less about?

    • eliwhit

While agreeing with your overall post, I add this that Soro is telling it like it is on this one. Remember where Romney came from. He is a converted Democrat liberal. He agrees with obama care. and what ever else he has said to get his lead to the people are lies. Tell them what they want to hear! That is his sweeping conept and it seems to be working! But I agree with your commendation of the Republican candidates@

    • kimbercarrier

Repulicans are also the problem. We need Conservatives. Republicans and Conservatives are not one and the same. The Republican party is just as afraid of someone like Ron Paul as the demorats. If he is elected they will lose their power and they don’t want that, that’s why they like Obomney.

  • Sirian

Soros is as big a threat to our nation as the radical Islamists. He wants to kill us economically (he’s managed to do so to other nations before) while the Islamo-Fascists want to simply kill all of us. He’s called an “Economic Terrorist” in the asian regions of the world. Go figure!! He’s simply playing with the politicians and the MSM that will help lead him to his grand “Open Society”.

    • eddie47d

As opposed to a closed society where the wealthy become richer while the “mud people” (workers) and ordinary folks take the hit for them.So that depends on whether you want a continual divided society ruled by the kingdom of the Elites.
