How The Republicans Will Re-Elect Obama

January 27, 2012 by

How The Republicans Will Re-Elect Obama

Now, the gloves are off. But Republican challengers for the White House aren’t throwing their hardest punches at Barack Obama. No, they’re flailing away at each other.

Monday’s debate in Tampa, Fla., was particularly nasty, with Mitt Romney making his strongest attack to date against Newt Gingrich. And no wonder. Until recently, the former Massachusetts Governor’s dream of finally capturing the Republican nomination looked like a sure thing. But that was before the gods of the recount took away his victory in Iowa.

And Gingrich found a new enemy to attack in two debates in South Carolina: the liberal media. The crowd ate it up, and a huge number of undecided voters made a last-minute decision to vote for the former House speaker.

So after three State contests, we have three winners: Rick Santorum won the Iowa caucuses by 34 votes; Mitt Romney was an easy (and expected) winner in New Hampshire; and Newt Gingrich came from behind to win a decisive victory in the Palmetto State.

Now it’s on to Florida, where there are more delegates up for grabs than in three previous States combined. Florida is a winner-take-all State where only registered Republicans can vote in the primary.

The Sunshine State is huge: twice the size of any other State east of the Mississippi. To reach all Florida voters, a candidate has to saturate the airways in five different media centers. For a while, it looked like Romney’s large war chest and massive preparation gave him an unbeatable advantage. But that was before Gingrich’s impressive victory in South Carolina, which encouraged a ton of new supporters to flock to him — many with their checkbooks open. Now, pollsters say the race is virtually tied.

Who is writing the script for this year’s Presidential contest? It’s become a cross between the Three Stooges and Monty Python. It’s an ugly “least ugly” contest.

Is there any candidate who can electrify his supporters and unite the conservative base while appealing to independents? I don’t see one. The closest is Ron Paul, who has a wildly passionate group of base supporters. But, as much as I admire the guy and his principled stand on some vital issues (principles that haven’t changed an iota during his long career in office, unlike all of his opponents), I don’t see him garnering enough support to win the nomination.

Nor will his support switch to either of the likely nominees. Gingrich was stupid enough to denounce Paul’s views as “outside the mainstream of virtually every decent American.” That’s sure not going to win him the support of many Paul followers.

More and more, I think we need to start thinking the unthinkable: Come November, Barack Obama will be re-elected to a second term.

There, I’ve said it. I know this idea will give many of you apoplexy. Believe me, I resisted coming to this conclusion for as long as I could.

What will Obama’s re-election mean for our country? In some ways, I think an Obama victory could help in the struggle for freedom. Bear with me while I explain why.

It’s a sad fact of nature that many of us will work much harder to defeat something we passionately oppose than to support something we like. I can’t think of anything that would unite and inspire the conservative opposition more than Obama’s re-election. The membership rolls of the various Tea Party groups would explode.

With an aroused and determined opposition, Obama’s entire legislative program would come to a grinding halt. We would not just slow our country’s slide into socialism; with enough good guys (and gals) elected to Congress, we could actually begin to reverse it.

Remember, the Administration can’t spend a penny on anything if Congress doesn’t appropriate it. The Constitution clearly specifies that every spending bill must originate in the House of Representatives. If enough Tea Party favorites retain their seats and enough new ones join them, the House can refuse to give the Democrats any of the money they want.

If enough conservative Republicans also win Senate seats to gain a majority there, at the very worst we’ll have four years of gridlock. At the best, we could actually see some important bills passed — possibly with enough of a majority to overcome a Presidential veto.

Audit the Fed, anyone? Defund foreign aid? Put the brakes on irresponsible loans, outrageous subsidies and absurd earmarks? How about slashing some budgets by 10 or 20 percent or taking away every penny from some of the worst violators of the Constitution? It could happen.

Faced with the pathetic choices for the Republican nomination, I can tell you what I’m going to do. I’m going to give my money to the best candidates for the House and Senate I can find, because that’s where the future of liberty will be decided. And I hope you’ll do the same.

How did we end up with such a sorry group of candidates running for our Nation’s highest office this year? I don’t know. Where were candidates like Paul Ryan, Chris Christie, Jeb Bush, Mitch Daniels, Haley Barbour and a bunch of others I could name? I said last year that my dream ticket was Chris Christie and Marco Rubio. Maybe I’ll get to see it — in 2016.

In the meantime, here’s a suggestion for my stalwart Republican friends out there: If you don’t want to lose an election, don’t nominate losers.

Until next time, keep some powder dry.

ISRAEL directly and indirectly will decide who the President will be and I suspect Obama is their choice

    • DaveR

Please expand and explain your comment. From my perspective, BHO has been the least “pro Israel” and most “pro Muslum” among recent USA presidents. IF BHO was pro Israel or pro peace in regard to the so-called Palestinian Problem, he would be openly advocating and insisting that the people living in the areas that want to form a new nation must first recognize Israel’s right to the land they now hold and the right of Jewish people to have a nation in their historical land. But BHO won’t do that, except maybe in some passing comment.

Romney is not Obama except where healthcare is concerned. Romney instituted a health insurance mandate in Massachusetts and fines for those that don’t pay.

In fact Obamacare is actually Romneycare. Let’s give credit where credit is due.

We should all be referring to Obamacare as Romneycare. Obama stole all the ideas from Romney and then took credit for it.

  • Doc Sarvis

I contend that if President Obama was so horrible then the GOP would have no trouble putting up a variety of VERY good candidates. It is an illustration of how the majority of Americans, and even the GOP leadership, think that President Obama is doing a good job in difficult times; that they can’t put up better candidates. If President Obama was so bad for America then even Donald Trump could win this election. Ha.

    • Willy

Good people do not want to be subjected to Lies and persecution while running for a office they could probably do well in.I know I wouldn’t. I’m ammazed that Ron Paul is. I don’t want a critic in office that’s gonna continue to gripe and complain about everybody that has gone before him. Why do ya’ll want a bunch of jerks in office?

      • Doug Moses

Willy: I don’t trust any of them, but on the other hand, Obama has told so many lies, you can’t count em’ all!

    • DaveH

Or it could be that nearly half of Americans have their hands in the other half’s pockets, so they are voting for the candidate who will continue the redistribution.

    • Joe H.

      Doc,
It is said that None are as blind as he who refuses to see! You fit that PERFECTLY!!!

  • Tony N

I WILL NOT VOTE FOR ROMNEY !!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Deerinwater

Can’t say that I blame you. His vision is clouded to the issues of the day.

    • rb

AMEN!!! I held my nose and voted for McCain and I refuse to do the same in this election. There needs to be a clear message sent to the establishment that we won’t be fed their crap any more.

  • http://heconservativecrawfish.wordpress.com Doug Schexnayder.PhD (ret)

The 4 Repubs left are 10x the man Obama is with 10x better solutions overall. The pantywaist worriers learned nothing from Nov2010 when the dimdems (730) got sent home in the worst defeat in generations…has America improved since then? Well, has it? The anger is there, I assure you.

Obama is toast…only because socialism is always so painful it cannot be hidden…
the pain is personal…gas/food/housing/jobless…IMHO he cannot steal enough votes
or tell enough bold lies to cover reality…no matter how many day he smiles and tries…
even a billion dollars cannot change the data…a trillion has been tried and failed.

    • Flashy

Ummm..other than Ron Paul, what solutions have either of the other three put forth on the table? Nothing more than superficial pap.

      • Doug Moses

All Obama has done during his term is continually campaign and spend money on airforce one’s boondoggles for he and his family!! By the way, at extreme cost to us!

  • http://Yahoo Justice

The Republicans need to start hammering away at Obama and his failures over the last three years. Obama in his first two years in office had the senate, and the house and did nothing to change the the economy around. Drill for more oil, use more coal for electricity. And this year he is holding up the pipe line from Canada which would create thousands of new jobs. His mask is comming off. Throwing money at car companies, wind mills and solar panels. Millions of dollars in solar panels were destroyed at the closing of Solyindra at our expense. We will never see that money again.
Obama is destroying our country by 7 trillion dollars in the first three years. So Republicans stop talking about your past wives, and taxes. This election is all about Oil and the economy and Obama. Let’s get cracking the whip.

    • Flashy

I wholeheartedly urge the GOP to hammer away at Pres. Obama. It will not only guarantee his re-election, it will be by a landslide and likely carry Congress back to the Blue side.

Match up the SOTU speech and his speeches all throughout, Pres. Obama projects the positive. The GOP is negative. There is no positive solutions from anywhere in the GOP. It’s all negative with no solutions other than negative doom and gloom …except for the “need” to protect the rich and Big Corporate America. Which, to the average guys..is negative because coddling the wealthy and Big Corporations means he’s gonna get screwed once again and he knows it.

Comes right down to it, Americans reject the TP and American Taliban trilogy of hate, fear and ignorance. Obama takes it and there is the chance for the Dems to retake the House.

  • Tommy Gentry

I agreee wholeheartedly with Michael Seamon. When will you all wake up and see that the greatest candidate in decades is running and is right before your eyes?? His name is Ron Paul and I will not “pull the lever and say a prayer” for anyone else. That is one of the most absurd things I have ever heard in my life. Wake up people and learn what Ron Paul stands for. Study his website and listen to the man speak. Don’t let the establishment and the media tell you how to vote and tell you what Ron paul stands for. So many times I speak with people about Ron Paul and their arguments against him are completely false and unfounded. Once I show them the truth and they read the facts they 9 times out of 10 agree and start supporting him. And for your hopes to lie on Chris Christie???? This party is doomed if you people don’t wake up and listen to the only person talking about REAL change and REAL spending cuts. Ron Paul can and will almost completely reverse the damage Obama has done in the White House in his first two years. NO OTHER CANDIDATE is saying anything like that. In November, I will go to the tolling booth and I will vote for Ron Paul, whether he is on the ballot or now!

  • david

Sometimes these post offer inteligent, well thought out comments. Sometimes it’s just a lot of blather without substance.
This ‘Omabama wants to be king’ charge was leveled against Bush/Cheney/Rove as well as Cheney oversought the grandest effort to date to gather power to the White House.
The rest is hardly worthy of response.
If the Republicans want to win the White House, they should start by offering candidates they can support. The current crop aren’t it.

    • Sirian

OK, if so, then who would you recommend as replacement candidates for the ones that are now in place? Presumedly you surely have someone, or multiples thereof, in mind. Then once again, who would you recommend and the reason why? Is that asking to much?

  • Iowaview

The critical item is the House and Senate. With conservative control there, Obama will be left with no way to do anything. Hopefully some legislation that could provide real change and opportunity will then get voted on in the Senate and we might actually get a budget after 3 years of no action by Reid in the Senate.

    • rb

Since when has the Consititution gotten in the way of Mr. Obama. I don’t think a new Congress will stop his agenda. The ends justifies the means with people like him. If you don’t think so then why does the USDA, FDA, and Dept of Education all have SWAT teams? Why are there so many “Czars” accountable to only the president and not Congress? These are critical questions that must be asked. The handwriting is on the wall for a second term with this one. He honestly believes we are too stupid to decide things for ourselves and the gov’t knows best.

  • Ken

I disagree with his story. Yes the republican candidates are trying to destroy each other. That is campaigning. If you remember back to 2008 the democrats did the same thing until the convention. The republicans can do the same thing. Pay no attention to the attacking. It is stupid and childish. Ron Paul stated it beast last night. When Mitt and Newt were throwing punches at each other over the Fannie and Freddie question and not really answering the persons question. Walt asked Ron Paul to give his comment on what the other two were saying about each others financial involvement in those two failed companies.Ron Paul said it as plain as day. “I do not care about that crap. I would like to answer the question.Fannie and Freddie should have never been bailed out. They should have been auctioned off.”
My point is pay no mind to the silly fighting. That is campaigning. Once we have a candidate we stand behind that person 100%. That is what the democrats did in 2008 when they were split down the middle during the primary. Anyone of the four on the stage would be an improvement over Obama. Remember we are not looking for the perfect person. We are only looking to improve.

  • David Peters

Obama does not seem to care that the constitution does not allow him to do many things. If he is re-elected congress will cease to matter with out much stronger opposition than any thiong I have seen yet.

    • Flashy

OK David, what are you claiming Pres. Obama did that was “unconstitutional” ? Careful now….not what you think the Constitution allows…but what the SCOTUS and past rulings allow.

Also, remember Congress has to pass the legislation if you think of using something that passed Congress as a basis for what you want to lay at the feet of Pres. Obama.

Let’s see…the recess appointments? He acted because Congress was not in session. The courts will decide the issue…if Congress decides to take it there. I seem to remember a GOP Congresswoman who swore up and down she’d introduce this “as soon as we get back to Washington and into session” . Ummm….I haven’t heard about Congress taking it to the courts or any other action as yet. have you?

Libya? Even that got only about a day’s worth of traction from the GOP opposition. Who in their right mind will come out and say Qadaffy should be kept in power? Unless, of course, you support terrorists and dictators who finance them.

Snuffing bin Laden? Give me a break.

Sending in a drone to snuff someone who was born in the US, lived in Yemen, and was actively involved in planning within the inner cricles of al Qaeda to attack us? What should he have done? Waited until the plans were complete and activated?

i can’t think of any other act which wasn’t approved by Congress which you may..in an induced world of paranoia, hate and fear, might claim.

So please….list these so-called “unconstitutional” acts.

      • Bob Marshall

Where is the authority to appoint a super committee to do what the House and the Senate failed to do in the Constitution?
Where does both congress and the Department of Justice have the right to regulate gun control sales in the Constitution?
Punishing states for protecting America’s borders when the Justice Department sued Arizona, claiming it usurped federal authority.
The TSA’s by use of scanners is a violation of the 4th amendment.
        Appointing unconstitutional czars.
Cash for clunkers violated Article 1. Sections 2 & 8
Mandatory health insurance infringes on the 10th amendments rights. The War Powers Act requires that the president to consult with congress’ in every possible instance” before deploying troops. something Obama is not do with the bombing of Libya.
Obama took the rotating chair of the United national Security Council, in apparent violation of Article 1 Section 9 of the Constitution.
TARP, the $700 billion bailout of banks and other financial institutions violated Article 1 Section 8 of the Constitution.
Internet Neutrality-Article 1 Section 8 of the Constitution serves to

bar the FCC from passing laws.

      • Thinking About

I must have missed the part about troops deployed to Libya, could you refresh my memory?

      • Joe H.

        Thinking(?),
Perhaps YOU don’t think that pilots are “troops” but the military inventory or TO&E most certainly DOES! I am just as sure that libya, just like the US, would consider the airspace directly above their SOVEREIGN nation to be part of their country!!!

      • Thinking about

Where was your objection when Reagan bombed Libya? The rebels and with the assistance of NATO finished the problem.

      • DaveH

Once again, Flashman shows his lack of integrity.
Flashman says “Libya? Even that got only about a day’s worth of traction from the GOP opposition. Who in their right mind will come out and say Qadaffy should be kept in power? Unless, of course, you support terrorists and dictators who finance them”.
The question, Flashman, was whether or not Obama was acting lawfully. Gaddafi’s suitability for power has nothing to do with that.

  • Flashy

“More and more, I think we need to start thinking the unthinkable: Come November, Barack Obama will be re-elected to a second term.”

I don’t know about it ever being unthinkable. The American people may be disgruntled fom time to time and angry at affairs in DC, but when it comes right down to it, there is that sense of comfort knowing Obvama is taking care of things despite the GOP sell out to the forces of oligarchy.

Obama’s re-election was assured last summer when the GOP showed this country what they stood for…anything but the best for this nation.

    • Deerinwater

“Obama’s re-election was assured last summer when the GOP showed this country what they stood for…anything but the best for this nation.”

that’s the way I see it, ~ all this hoopla is just spread the wealth time.

      • Joe H.

        deermakingwater,
And Abummer showed how much he cared for the country by trying to shut the repubs out of all bargaining when he was first elected????? Give me a break!!!

      • Joe H.

BTW, I heard a comment by Abummer just as I hit the submit button showing just how much respect he has. ” if congress won’t act, I will!” yup!! Shows so much respect for our legislative process!!!

    • Doug Moses

Flash: Obama will not get another 4 years…look at his ratings lately?

      • Deerinwater

yes, they are up and still climbing.

    • DaveH

“Obvama” is taking care of things all right:
      http://www.pacificrimcoins.com/pacrim/content/51-reasons-impeach-obama

  • Deerinwater

“Is there any candidate who can electrify his supporters and unite the conservative base while appealing to independents? I don’t see one. The closest is Ron Paul,”

There is no “pleasing” of a republican that I’m been aware of. It’s not in their nature. They can not agree among themselves much less anyone else.

Ron Paul maybe as close to pleasing as you might hope to get but still he is out in the south 40 pea patch with talk about changing SS and a new approach to foreign affairs.

In the coming month RP must develop and sell him ideas on their merits.

    • DaveH

      Changing SS?
You think it’s wrong, Deer, to allow younger people a chance to opt-out of the Social Security Ponzi scheme? SS is theft, plain and simple. No person, whether alone or in a group of like-minded individuals, has a right to take somebody’s money for his/her ‘own good’. Government is just people, mostly immoral people to be sure.
Yes, Social Security is a Ponzi Scheme (but worse, because people are given no choice):
      http://mises.org/daily/5658

      • Thinking About

Are you saying you are going to refuse your social security and Medicare? What about driving on roads, somebody’s money paid for those. What about the Defense department, taxpayers pays for our defense and we do not have a choice. This list could go on and on so don’t get so into yourself about sharing the cost of providing services.

      • Joe H.

no, but I’m damn sure going to do all I can to get the American people to refuse Abummer care!!!! If you are so worried about healthcare, go out, get a job or TWO and EARN it!!! Take better care of your self or only go to the Dr when you NEED to!! I know that is a foreign thought to you but that is one of the reasons that healthcare is so high priced!! Every Tom, Dick, and Harry go to the ER for a cold, when they could stay home drink plenty of fluids, rest and increas their intake of fluids and vit. C!!!

      • Karolyn

Joe – “Take better care of your self or only go to the Dr when you NEED to!! I know that is a foreign thought to you but that is one of the reasons that healthcare is so high priced!! Every Tom, Dick, and Harry go to the ER for a cold, when they could stay home drink plenty of fluids, rest and increas their intake of fluids and vit. C!!!”

This is one thing we totally agree on. It just boggles my mind how people are so brainwashed to believe that you NEED medication. It’s like if you’re not taking a prescribed medication, there’s something wrong with you, when, in fact, it’s the other way around. It kills me when I hear my coworkers running to the doctor for an antibiotic for every little thing. Besides the fact that I can’t afford it out of my little SS benefit, I refuse to pay $100 a month for Medicare B because I take care of myself and don’t go to the doctor!

      • http://deleted Claire

Karolyn: Good comment. Today I have had words with my husband’s primary care physician. She prescribed a medication that the heart doctor already has Bob taking. She increased the dosage, which is not a good thing to do. I called her and she did not “realize” my husband was already on this medication. Doctors do NOT communicate with each other. I told her if she had looked on the computer at my husband’s records, she would have found that he was already taking this medication, only a lesser dose. I have to keep a sharp eye on everything they do. Another doctor prescribed a medication that was bad for the kidneys–Bob is on dialysis. I have noticed that doctors will write a prescription at the drop of a hat. A person has to really be on the ball, and ask WHY this medicine is needed and what will it accomplish, not to mention the side effects. Keep in mind the fact that some meds counterattack each other. This past year has been mind-boggling and it is getting worse. Bob’s kidneys failed after open heart surgery-the medicine they gave him ruined his kidneys. And St. Johns is supposed to be such a wonderful place for heart patients. Barf and gag. He also has a permanent colostomy due to negligence of the radiologist that did not “catch” the perforated colon on the xray. I could write a book on doctors, the entire medical profession. I do not take medicine of any kind, and I have not been to a doctor since the mid-90s. I will take my chances. I have reached the point where I would rather go to the Univ. of Illinois small animal clinic. At least they know what the hell they are doing.

      • http://deleted Claire

        Sorry, I got carried away.

      • libertytrain

Claire – you didn’t get carried away. You are helping everyone become more aware of the fallibility of doctors.

      • Karolyn

Claire – So sorry to hear Bob is doing so poorly. You and he are in my thoughts and prayers.

I know of two deaths that were apparently the result of just what you’re talking about. My one friend’s mother was on so many medications, it was amazing even her daughter couldn’t keep up with them. He is convinced to this day that all the medications killed her. My other friend’s mother was in the hospital for a broken hip, and they gave her medication that was contraindicated for a condition she had. Doctors do not appear to communicate well with each other at all.

When I was diagnosed with HepC, I did all my own research and never let the doctors push me around and force chemo on me. If I had, I would likely be a very sick person today even if it had cured the HCV. which was iffy at best. As it is, I am healthy as a horse and only go to the doctor for routine bloodwork. People need to take an active part in their own healthcare.

      • DaveH

As with any “free” service, Karolyn, Health Care costs have risen as Government has subsidized it, due to increasing usage of the service.
That, however, is only the tip of the iceberg. Health Care costs are mostly high due to Government Meddling. Read this:
        http://www.cato.org/pubs/pas/pa527.pdf

      • Deerinwater

Well David, it’s true that government has been involved in providing Health Care services, ~ But here the issue as I see it.

If insurance providers had manged to not increase the cost of a good policy 300% in just 18 years there would have been no need for father intervention of government.

This 300% increase demanded address, as it seriously dug into discretionary spending of the average American family in a VERY real way.

Not to mention, policies sold not worth the paper that they were written on, that the under employed, self employed, and unemployed has a most difficult time even buying coverage.

or to mention that while my tax dollars subsidizes many American heath insurances offering them lower rate, while this same company would complete deny me coverage as a bad risk for any reason they wish to select.

Something had to be done! At lease now , preexisting conditions , the escape route they made a bundle off of is no more. People buy coverage and expect insurance companies to honor their policies.

Now young adults can be covered under their parent policy as they develop into adulthood and learn to stand on their own and no long subjecting families to a life time of indebtedness over fluke of misfortune.

      • DaveH

Did you read the linked article, Deer? It doesn’t appear so.
If you and your like-minded Liberals think you can do better, then why don’t you guys pool your monies and start your own Health Insurance Companies? It should be a slam-dunk since you contend they are greatly over-charging their customers. If you run into Onerous Regulatory Hurdles, don’t blame me, blame yourselves for allowing all that destructive Government Regulation in the First Place.
Read the article, Deer, then read this:
        http://mises.org/books/capitalism_kelly.pdf

      • DaveH

Driving on roads? What has that got to do with Social Security, TA?
And actually, I believe the roads should be paid for by the users only. In our early history, roads were built by private entrepreneurs for companies wishing to move their goods to their customers. As it should be. However that has nothing to do with Social Security.
Thinking About says “Are you saying you are going to refuse your social security and Medicare?”. No, TA, they took my money, so of course I want it back. But I certainly would have opted out if given the opportunity before I was too far into the system.

      • Thinking about

DaveH, you whine all the time about having your money taken. Living in the USA costs money just keep this great nation rolling every day. You can not pick and choose what gets left off.

      • DaveH

Yeah, it’s much easier for the guy with his hands in my pocket to smile, isn’t it, TA?
We wouldn’t be in this mess if the Liberals hadn’t voted to build our Gargantuan Government whining “Feed Me, Clothe Me, Shelter Me, Give Me Free Health Care (waa, waa, waa)”.

      • Thinking about

You too are one in the pockets as demostated in your post. As long as you are receiving it is good but apparentlly you don’t think anyone else should. Life is not about you and your opinions, we are entitled to have liberties to choose paths we take in life and I assure you I will not be on your path unless you rethink your life.

      • DaveH

And just what do you base your illogical conclusion on, TA?
Have you seen anything in any of my posts that indicates I want to dictate other peoples’ life choices by the Force of Government?
Your fallacious comment highlights the fanciful nature of your chosen moniker.

If I could have one wish granted this year, it would be that Chris christie will wake up and realize he needs to run for President as a write in and start campaigning now. I can hardly stand the thought of another 4 years of Obama.

    • Karolyn

Just because he’s outspoken? It seems to me that is a criteria that many people set for their favorite nominee. If you have a big mouth and are uncouth, all the better.

      • DaveR

Probably because they look at the comments of candidates leading up to the election as entertainment rather than focusing on their substance and the character and past deeds of the candidates.

      • Joe H.

        karolyn,
        Yeah, just look at Abummer!!!

      • http://deleted Claire

Karolyn– I must agree with you. The bigger the mouth, the bigger the hateful rhetoric. I am weary of the entire scenario–they act like schoolyard bullies-Newt and Mitt are two of a kind–big egos with small brains.

      • http://deleted Claire

Christie has endorsed Romney which is disappointing. I thought Christie was better than that. So does this mean Christie will be VP if Romney gets the nomination? Politicians have a “method to their madness.” They won’t do anything unless it “feathers” their own nest.

      • DaveH

As Jefferson said — “The two enemies of the people are criminals and government, so let us tie the second down with the chains of the Constitution so the second will not become the legalized version of the first”.

  • http://bridgetable.net aurora1920

The only ones of those the author listed who could win are Christie or Jeb Bush and I think it’s too early in 2012 for him. People have to get over Bushes another four year.

I don’t think that Daniels did that well in his response — same ol stuff. Was there no truth committee to tell me which one of the two–the President or Daniel–had the most accurate take on the economy! Drives me crazy when they’re supposedly looking at similar statistics that we get diametrically opposed concludsions as to how the economy is doing.

People (ordinary people I assume they poll) SEEM to think things are getting better, and that’s all that will count in November.

Ryan could never win this year — he too has to wait four for his own constituents to get over his Medicare proposal.

As to the war between the Republican candidates?? They SAY that what Obama has had all along is LUCK in his opposition candidate from his very first election. Seems to be lucking out again–Gingrich will only be content if he kills off Romney. He IS irresponsible. Paul has a good influence on the Republican Party, moderating is gung ho ready to go to war image. But Santorum is IMPOSSIBLE as a candidate given his devoutly held religious and moral opinions on abortion. Nation will never accept t hem.

    • Karolyn

Actually, “things” are getting better if you look in the right places. And we are still better off than most of the rest of the world.

      • Tom W.

Karolyn when watching a slight of hand artist, to keep from being decieved, you MUST focus on where they are trying to divert your attention from! Have you been to the store lately?!! Are things really getting better?!! OPEN your little lemming eyes girlfriend!

      • DonnieB

The Russians said that too. Right before the country fell apart.

      • Vigilant

        “Look in the right places?”

Why not, for starters, look at the housing market? New housing sales for 2011 were the LOWEST ON RECORD (since they started counting in 1963).

Yeah, that’s a great indicator of our “recovering” economy, isn’t it, Karolyn?

      • John

That statement in itself is true, but not the way people think.
The new homes that are in this list are new CONTRACTS to build. Not old or existing homes. So if you went on DEC 31st to a builder to build you a home, you are not counted you are also not counted if you buy a home on January 1st 2010 or later if it was finished on or before Dec 31st even though it was brand spanking new when you bought it. So although housing sales where up on existing (as of Jan 1st 2010) homes. New homes (contracts to build since Jan 1st 2010) sales are down. And that is really no surprise as there is a huge gluten of existing homes on the market and many people shy away from the big McMansions in new developments.

      • John

bah the examples should be 2011 lol…we are in 2012..its time to catch up with the calendar lol. anyway I think you get the gist of it anyways.

      • Joe H.

        Vig,
not only that, food prices are up about 12%, unemployment is static and that is only due to the ones that have taken part time jobs or have exhausted their benefits and have given up!! Gas keeps creeping up little by little. right now here is’s $3.45 a gallon and RISING!! Things are better??? I think not!!!

      • Joe H.

Forgot to add, EXAMPLE Coffee, which was $6.95 a 34 ounce can in April is now $9.75!!! not a mathmatician, but at first glance, I’d say that’s about 45% increase!!!

      • Karolyn

Joe, You’re buying the wrong coffee!

      • Karolyn

Pessimists only look at what is wrong. Optimists look at every little good thing as a positive indicator. There have been positive indicators (like Ford giving their employees raises and hiring more people for one), but you and those like you won’t even consider them.

      • eddie47d

I think Joe forgot that we don’t grow coffee in the USA and therefore don’t control the price. Maybe he wants to pay coffee growers and workers peanuts for the privilege of supporting his coffee habit. Now gasoline is $2.88 in Denver.

      • Vigilant

Karolyn, some times you are positively funny!

“Pessimists only look at what is wrong. Optimists look at every little good thing as a positive indicator.”

And REALISTS use facts and figures to come up with a balanced and true assessment. The economy still sucks.

“There have been positive indicators (like Ford giving their employees raises and hiring more people for one), but you and those like you won’t even consider them.”

Oh, I very definitely consider Ford; it’s a good example of a company THAT TOOK NO BAILOUT! It shows that capitalism, non interference from the government and proper management can create a balance sheet in the black IN SPITE OF unions, onerous taxation, overregulation and other socialist leveling attempts.

Ford owes the US taxpayers NOTHING from bailouts. GM still owes over $30 billion.

      • libertytrain

Eddie, lucky Denver. Here in NC where I live it’s $3.41 -up 40 cents and climbing.

      • Joe H.

        eddie,
as karolyn said, you are buying the wrong gas!! I just checked and the cheapest gas listed is $2.82 at the sinclare on federal blvd!!

      • Karolyn

liberty – Too bad you live so far from the state line. At our Murphy’s it’s $3.08, but 10 miles down the road it’s $3.25. It’s even higher than what you’re paying just north of the state line. I think Charlotte is higher than that.

      • libertytrain

Karolyn, I’m actually very near the State line, just a few miles, however, I’m in the mountains and there aren’t any gas stations going into SC for many miles and a wicked road to go down to get to them. However it’s a standard joke that we should just drive down there to get our gas, (even though it would cost more to do so just because of the drive down)…. And, believe me, on those rare times we go down to Greenville, we make sure to fill up…. It was $3.41 in town today when I topped it. Of course, tomorrow it may have changed – :)

      • http://deleted Claire

libertytrain–I filled up the Jeep this past Tuesday and filled the Van up yesterday at $3.18 per gallon. I forgot to look when I passed the filling station today. It usually goes up for the weekend.

      • libertytrain

Claire, sounds like we’re getting taken for a ride – no pun intended- but Illinois is always higher than us. What a bummer…. I hope it drops…

      • JeffH

eddie says “I think Joe forgot that we don’t grow coffee in the USA and therefore don’t control the price.”

DUH once again…Hawaii? Prices are set through the New York Coffee Exchange(USA)…There are two markets for coffee: the cash market and the futures market. The cash market is the market today. It is the price you would pay for coffee today if you could receive it today. The futures market is used to help determine the price for future deliveries. It is used to purchase a contract today to guarantee a future shipment of coffee. More importantly, however, the futures market for commodities like coffee is used to help protect against the wild variations that occur due to coffee market speculation.

FYI, I worked in the green coffee business for 25 years.

      • libertytrain

Jeff – Is Hawaii part of the 57 States? I haven’t gotten the revised history and/or geography books for the new world we live in yet.. I’m a little behind…

      • JeffH

libertytrain :) Last time I checked it was just one of 50 :)

      • libertytrain

Are you certain. The current president said there were 57. Why would he make that up and lie to us… :)

    • Elevenarrows

Aurora, where are these ordinary people who seem to think the economy is getting better??? I have homes in NC and SC and have yet to meet one person so doesn’t bemoan the current state of affairs. As a small business owner who interacts with banks and credit unions for our business, I can assure you the banks and credit unions are still running scared. With a brother-in-law who photographs foreclosed homes for mortgage lenders, I can assure you there are many, many people still losing their homes. We know many people who still can’t find work. I have to wonder what snow globe you’ve been gazing into and waxing nostalgic…!

      • Karolyn

There are areas doing extremely well and good things are happening; however, you choose not to see those things – only the bad things. I’m seeing houses start to sell here that have been on the market for a long time. Many online businesses are flourishing. There are companies moving back here from China. They’re still building new WalMarts, and WalMart usually knows what they’re doing. If you look, you can find a myriad of positive indicators. But, no, keep staring at all the negatives and keep it going. We create our own reality.

      • Joe H.

        karolyn,
what price are those houses selling at? I’d bet at least 40% less than they were four years ago!! People are losing their shirts! Our Walmart here has been saying they were going to build a super wal mart for two years, now its planned for this spring. funny, I haven’t seen any movement around the site at all. wanna bet that come spring they come out and say it’s been delayed?? Besides all they carry is goods from China that is JUNK!! I bought two pairs of tennies there and the first pair lasted exactly six weeks. The second pair lasted three months!! the businesses I’m looking for are the ones that manufacture HERE and there are very few favorable indicators for them!

      • Karolyn

The new WalMart Super Center being built abot 30 miles from where I live is only abot 15 miles from another they built abot four years ago. This new one just started a few weeks ago and looks like it will be done for the summer. AND the area it’s being built in is lower socio-econimic and rural. They must know something! As far as the houses selling, of course the prices are down; however, when houses that have been on the market for two years start to sell, I would think that is a pretty good thing. Yes, it is hard to find Made in America, especially for electronics and appliances. ABC News has a Made in America series that’s been going on for abot 6 months, and they have a list of American companies on their website. They have singlehandedly turned business arond for many companies.

      • http://deleted Claire

Karolyn– Two years ago Walmart built a supercenter here too. I have never been there. I used to go to the Walmart west of town which is closer to me. I don’t go there much anymore. It is like a scavenger hunt trying to find and buy items “Made in the USA.” Same with the rest of the stores here in town. And when I do find an item made in the USA, the price is higher. I despise buying anything that is made in a foreign country. Even the produce in the grocery store I go to is imported from a foreign country, and I always think WTF–I want to buy food/items that are grown/made here in the U.S. It is a disgusting situation.

      • DaveH

Many people, Claire, can only live a decent life because Walmart gives them a chance to purchase goods cheaply. International Trade isn’t the problem. The problem is a Government that takes 44% of our GDP, and on top of that uses much of that money to hobble US companies with stifling and unnecessary regulations many of which are created primarily to aid the Politicians’ favorite Crony Capitalists.
Please read this book, Claire, and learn what’s really going on:
        http://mises.org/books/capitalism_kelly.pdf

      • eddie47d

Home prices went down between 2005 and early 2009. Our house went on the market in 2005 and sold 13 months later and we lost $100,000 off the neighborhood value/asking price. That was during the Bush years not the Obama years. Houses in Denver are slightly higher now but not by much yet they have not gone down in the last 3 years.

      • libertytrain

Home prices didn’t go down, that far back, everywhere. Just certain areas in the country.

      • DaveH

The Housing Bust was a result of Big Government. Both Political Parties were complicit. The two party system thrives on the people who buy into one camp or the other when in reality they have both become the parties of Big Government.
Big Government is the Problem, NOT the Solution.

    • GTO_04

Jeb? Seriously??? It is RINOS like him that brought us Obama!
The RINOS ran their guy in ’08 and you can see the result.

  • Michael Seamon

The establishment Republicans don’t seem to get it. Ron Paul is the only candidate who will beat Obummer.
Almost every Paul supporter I know plans to write him in for President whether he runs as an independent or not. The general feeling is that we always vote for the lesser of two evils because the Republican party never gives us somebody we can trust, somebody who has integrity, someone who can make us proud of our country. We’ve had enough of these status quo, lying hypocrites. Gingrish talks about a moon colony to get votes in Florida. This man will say anything to anybody to get his fat lying butt into the President’s chair. Romney is the white Obama. A big government guy with plenty of large donors to pay back with special favors once he becomes President. A man who has proven to be a big government guy with a weak record on the major issues of our time. Who should we settle for another loser when Ron Paul is by far the best candidate to ever run as a Republican. The founding fathers would vote for him so why shouldn’t I. My fellow Ron Paul supporters need to teach the Republican party a lesson. Sure it will suck having Obummer around for another four years but at least we’ll know that he’ll continue to screw things up so badly that we’ll get a Republican majority in the House and Senate in 2014 followed by A Rand Paul Presidency in 2016.

    • Karolyn

I believe there are many like me who will vote for Obama if Paul isn’t nominated. There is no way in hell I would ever vote for Gingrich, with Romney running a close second!

      • Ronald R. Johnson

One thing is for sure when you find a fool in the dark you might as well leave her there, because even if you help her find her way around dum as she is she will always find her way back to Obama and his cult!
We just have to hope all of them drink the KOOL ADE soon!

      • DavidL

I agree with you, Karolyn. I like Ron Paul. If he is not the nominee, I will vote for President Obama.

      • Elevenarrows

DavidL, so…you really don’t even know WHAT you believe then do you? To decide to vote for a man that is all about personal responsibility, freedom, and the Constitution and then to switch to a man that encourages Americans to rely on the personal responsibility of their neighbor or government (instead of their own), who has proven in the last few years that he is no friend to freedom and who has consistently trounced upon the Constitution…well, that is a bit of double-minded contradiction, is it not?

      • DonnieB

I could never see how anyone that considered voting for Ron Paul and didn’t get the opportunity could ever vote for Obama.

Please could on of the Paul crowd go over the issues that Paul and Obama agree on and not the other GOP candidates.

        Thank you.

      • ReviewsbyRenee

Dr. Paul is the best choice. The only reason why he might not win is because of the GOP’s in bed with the AP to make sure it doesn’t happen. It is clear that the people’s choice is Ron Paul but the AP and GOP establishment “will do whatever is in their power to make sure he doesn’t get elected”

      • R Crain

No way can Ron Paul get the nomination. That would really mess things up. Both Parties want too take us all kicking and screaming into the NEW WORLD ORDER. Ron Paul does not. Can you imagine what that would do to their plans. Do you know how bad that would upset the apple cart. Ron Paul will never get the nomination, they will see too that, trust me on this. But, if somehow he was too become the next president, I think a lot of boys and girls in DC will need a lawyer.

      • Thomas Wilson

Karolyn, people such as yourself just kill me! HOW could you oppose Obammy, on the one hand and KNOW what he’s been doing deliberately to the American Economy, with all of his profligate ways, having spent more time on vacation, and raising funds for his warchest than he has governing, and then turn around and support the Bogus P.O.T.U.S.?!?!? You aren’t logical and can only leave a man such as myself with one conclusion, that being to logically deduce you were among the 61 million Sheople that voted for him in the first place, and have gotten some sort of “buyers remorse” and rather than come clean admitting that “None of the Above” is a more sane choice than this charlatan and illegal alien, whose yet to prove he’s an American Citizen, let alone naturally born as enumerated by the Article 2, section 1 of the U.S. Constitution. Notice, I didn’t insult you, I debated you. I will never resort to an ad hominem attack in order to castigate you, though I must apologize for calling you a sheople, because 2 wrongs don’t make a right.

Jimmy: says it all…more than 80% factual!!

      • Okie Ron

Nonsense. ‘More of Lord Limbaugh’s barking points.

You guys sat on your hands back when Cheney was President and trashed America’s economic future, squandered our surplus, sent our best and bravest into battle without even proper body and vehicle armor–and did nothing.

In fact, worse than nothing, you said that anyone that didn’t sign off on those draft-dodging chickenhawk nitwits blank check to disaster was a Traitor. Every time anyone who had actually served in the military stood up to those idiots, they fired them–and you C-R-O-W-E-D your approval.

You( and the Republican Florida Election Commision, and the Republican Supreme Court) permitted him the first coup d’etat in American history along with his pet boy, W, ’cause W was the kinda dumbsky you could all go out and get a DUI with.

President Cheney could do no wrong, and as soon as Obama is lawfully elected you flock to the gun shops and gun-up to the teeth–then proclaim an Obammanid conspiracy to confiscate all the bullets–when in reality it was just that so many angry Beavis and Buttheads bought ‘em all up it caused a bullet shortage.

And now you’re going to shove Cheney 2.0 up our a$$es the way you did Cheney 1.0 and America has to just get in, sit down, hang on, and shut up?

You may indeed succeed in overthrowing America with your narrow-minded right-wing fear-mongering and paranoia, but the majority of Americans will NEVER welcome you as liberators.

On the other hand, maybe you don’t need a majority. The Nazis never got more than 33% of the popular vote…but they had all the uncompromising hate and all the guns.

      • Joe H.

        okie,
perhaps you forget that when bush2 promoted amnesty, he and all the reps recieved a record number of complaints from the conservative voters??? sat on our hands? NOT! I thought bush was an a$$ but Abummer is bush on steroids!!

      • DaveH

The important thing to take away from this is that Karolyn and DavidL will vote for Ron Paul, as will many other Democrats. And the Independents are a shoo-in for Ron. There is no doubt in my mind that Ron Paul is the only Republican candidate who can beat Obama.
The Democrat Leaders would make short work of the other hypocritic Republican candidates.

    • terry

I believe you are correct, at least the way I see it! The noose is tightning around the American Peoples neck so to speak. by the new world order polititians .but the problem is most people cant see the forest for the trees. So Sad!!

    • leila

I can’t believe how many people I hear saying that they would rather vote for Obama than Romney! They are the same just in different parties. The only candidate that is different is Ron Paul.He is the only one that has kept his views the same after 30 years in office. The reason for that is because when you follow the constitution, you don’t need to change. If you vote for the lesser of 2 evils, you’re still voting for evil.If more people would do the research instead of listening to the MSM,they would see this. Its not about how well a candidate speaks or debates. The only thing that should matter is their record.Ron Paul is always consistent. Not always the popular vote, but that’s what we need.Someone willing to make the hard choices to turn our country around before its too late.We may still be the best country in the world but we are falling fast.I fear what we will become if Obama gets re-elected or if Newt or Romney gets in.I refuse to vote for any of them.I will be voting for Ron Paul no matter what. And I know MANY people that will be doing the same. Its time we stop settling for second best.If we want to continue being the greatest country, then we need to start electing the people that will keep us there.Obama has been an utter failure and so was Bush before him.Why not elect someone that we can trust to do what he says instead of who the better speaker is or who comes across better? BTW-Mike Burke I couldn’t agree more!

      • DaveH

        Right on, leila.

Paul at 76 is too old….McCain was 72 when he ran..We need someone with energy to take on the Libs!

      • Patriot Diva

Ron Paul bicycles 15 miles a day. Ron Paul is smart enough to put competent people around him who could fill his role were he to die in office. However the man is a physician and know how to take care of himself.

      • DaveH

Yet, even at his age, Ron Paul out-debates the other candidates hands down. More and more of them are trying to imitate his ideas, but they have no track record of such, and more than likely they are just saying what they think the people want to hear to acquire their votes.
Ron Paul is the only Genuine candidate.

      • DaveH

If you want Smaller Government, Ron Paul is the only Republican candidate to elect.
Ron Paul lives and breathes Freedom. The other candidates just give it lip-service to get elected:

  • mark

You can’t keep the nominee unknown in an open society. Obama will probably win. But it will be much closer than the last time. In 2008 Obama received 53% of the nat’l vote vs. 46% for McCain and 1% for minor candidates (Nader, Barr, etc.). In 2012, Obama will probably only get 50% with 48% to Romney and 2% split among minority parties. Of course, if Ron Paul runs as an indepedent on the Libertarian ticket, he could get 10-12% of the nat’l vote, mostly from the conservative side which would give Obama a much easier victory. Also if Gingrich were to be nominated with all his baggage and unpredictable outbursts, Obama would win comfortably by 6-8 percentage points. Still, all this is up in the air. Ten months is an eternity in politics and alot can happen on the international scene or with the domestic economy that could skew all of these estimates in either direction.

    • DaveH

Ron Paul appeals to voters in both major parties. And he would be a shoo-in for the Independent vote:

personal recomendation…. get your head out of all these books and websites you are stuck in and take a look outside at what is really happening to the world around you and make decisions for yourself rather than based on literature that you read…. you might be surprised at what you find….believe it or not their is supposed to be more to life than working your arse off for nothing and being a neopolitical dunderhead…

eye for an eye…. right religious guy..

    • Joe H.

      mark,
If and I repeat, IF that happens, then we better elect a great many true constitutional conservatives to the senate and congress!!! Like Chip said, deadlock would be preferable to Abummer having a free reign!!

  • CJM

I watched the debates and am throoughly disgusted with the tete-a-tetes between Romney and Gingrich. Either they knock it off or I will vote for Paul or Santorum (if they remains in the running) or write in a contender who isn’t on the ballot. I will NOT vote for obammy the scammy! Enough already—get with the issues and forget the personal jibes.

  • KNG

Newt so far has the thickest skin IMHO as he’s the ONLY one that has stood up and smacked down the Media and that’s WHY people love him! I like the idea of keeping the nominee a secret until it’s a done deal – keeps the Liberals and Establishment in check for a little bit.

People are SO FED up with Obama that the only way he COULD win is if it’s by fraud and that’s been shown to be happening STILL today!

    • Karolyn

You are so totally wrong. A great many people are behind Obama, and more will be if Ron Paul doesn’t get the nomination.

      • Brian

While it may be true for some, I for one will not support Obama if Ron Pail is not the nominee. I will vote as I have always voted…Libertarian.

      • Brian

        Paul not Pail

Gotta stop posting from my phone.

      • TigerBright

vote Libertarian means a vote for Obama. When will you guys grasp the fundamentals of American elections? Unless you vote for one of the transgressors, Rep or Dem you are just wasting a vote.

      • Joe H.

        TigerBright,
CORRECTION! There is no such thing as a wasted vote!!! It is your vote to do as YOU see fit! Not as I see fit or anybody else! If you don’t like that, bud, I suggest you go to one of these countries that have “immitation” elections!!

      • Brian Schultz

fundamentals of American Elections? please extrapolate on exactly what those are….. when I first voted at 18- I was given a ballot with all contenders listed and given the choice of who I thought would do the best job of running our country….. now you are given a ballot based on your party and only allowed to choose from those candidates….regardless of who you may think is the best for the country.

oh yes, and all this is moot because the electoral college picks the president…. not the popular vote.

        wake up…..

      • Joe H.

        Brian,
There is another option. If you don’t like the listed candidates, then ask for a paper ballot and vote for a write in if you so choose!

      • Elevenarrows

With all due respect, Karolyn, I don’t think disgruntled Ron Paul supporters will go over to Obama…the two candidates are polar opposites. To do so, Ron Paul supporters would have to suddenly decide they hate freedom, hate American values and are willing to give up freedoms so the Nanny State can micro-manage their lives. Not likely.

      • Karolyn

But look at the Republican choice there will most likely be. Contrary to most of the views here, I don’t hate Obama, and I don’t know that voting Libertarian should Paul run on that ticket will do any good. I will do whatever I feel I have to do to defeat Gingrich or Romney. However, there is plenty of time for things to change. “One never knows…Do one.”

      • Colram

I think the Ron Paul supporters who would vote for Obama are the previous Obama supporters who have defected to Paul. Most of the others will vote for libertarian Gary Johnson or write in Dr. Paul. Or not vote.

And I’d actually prefer Obama to Romney or Gingrich simply because Obama is limited to one more term. In 2016 we need the chance to elect Rand Paul, and that won’t happen with an incumbent Republican.

      • Karolyn

        Good point!

    • Doc Sarvis

Newt and the media feed off of each other. His attacks on the media are completely staged and both he and the media benefit from it.

I also love how Newt gets his daughters from his first marriage to contradict statements of the wife in his second marriage about his leaving for his current wife (of his third marriage).

      • Vigilant

“Newt and the media feed off of each other. His attacks on the media are completely staged and both he and the media benefit from it.”

What’s your point? ALL politicians use the media to get attention. And the media loves controversy, period, even when it’s “made up” news such as Dan Rather’s crusade against Bush.

As for Newt, I’d just surmise from the applause and cheers that the media got what’s coming to it when Gingrich excoriated John King. What a great moment. He used the Alinsky method to change the subject. Hurts when the opposition uses your own techniques against you, doesn’t it “Doc?”

      • JeffH

Vigilant, you should know by now that deer bob knows everything…so says the Jabberwocky.

    • DaveH

Oh yeah, that’s a sterling criteria on which to elect a Candidate. Never mind that he’s been unfaithful to two other wives. Never mind that he has ties to several One-World-Government groups. Never mind that he sided with Nancy Pelosi to hawk the Homogenic Global Warming scam. Never mind that he supported insurance mandates for people earning more than $75,000/year. Never mind that he suggested that Obama create a no-fly zone over Libya, a country that threatened the US in no way. Never mind that he referred to Tea Partiers as the “militant wing” of the Republican Party.
What does it take to wake up the Newt supporters to the fact that he’s just a typical Sociopath seeking Political office?
      http://www.whale.to/b/callahan1.html

      • Brian Schultz

Libya has never threatened the US????? wow can I move into the rock you live under? long before Al quiada was threatening us Kahdaffis terrorists were….

Dave, please go learn something before posting anymore…

      • JeffH

Brian, I’ve come to the conclusion that you must be related to eddie.

      • DaveH

It’s probably one of Flashman’s multiple personalities.

      • DaveH

I’ve wondered how many of my exposures it would take before Flashman got smart and changed his User Name.

      • JeffH

That’s true…cut from the same cloth!

      • Brian Schultz

your perogative… I myself like to get to know facts before i “come to conclusions about someone” it is almost like making assumptions and you know what that does…

      • JeffH

        …if it walks like a duck and talks like a duck…then it must be a duck…or closely related… :)

      • Joe H.

        JeffH,
If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, then it’s a pretty safe bet it $hits through feathers!!!

      • DaveH

Brian, or Flashy, I meant “threatened” as in “they were not a threat to the US”. Even so, if threatening is an excuse to kill people, there wouldn’t be very many of us left.
I am sure you knew what I meant, but you were determined to mix it up with me. However, I welcome your unprovoked attacks, because they shine a light on what we can expect if we’re ever foolish enough to let the Liberals have absolute power.

      • Brian Schultz

WOW… Jeff and DAVe….may I request that you actually read all of my posts…

No I am not related to anyone who posts here, nor am I flashy or flashman or whatever his name is….I have not been making personal attacks on this site as do you… I have simply been making counterpoints to ridiculousness or adding posts with specific intellectual content in hopes of getting rational responses (not much luck there… I either get an attack or no response at all because no one can come up with a valid counter to my points…. se all the posts on the islam issue of last week)

that being said… if you refer to my response to vigilant you may glean a little info on who I am but I will reiterate a few points….

I am a herdworking middle class american who tries very hard to attemt to take care of my family as best I can (and brother, that aint easy when the rich are getting richer and us poor people are forgotton about or worse…balmed for the problems in this country…. even Obama (who I defend) seems to think that everyone who has a mortgage that is in trouble must be irresponsible…. because that is much easier to do than accept the reality that sometimes good people get SCREWED BY THE SYSTEM…. I for one took over the household of my wife former husband who passed away- this occured WELL before the bankruptcy of America caused by the rich and the republican and being blamed on OBAMA…..

our mortgage was doing just fine until between 2006 and 2008 the cost of heating fuel went from 1.75/gallon to 7.37/ gallon (currently it still sits at $5.49), our electrical costs quadrupled (and the power company started charging a fuel surcharge that equals 140% of the energy consumtion), a gallon of milk for our kids went from $4.10/gallon to its current rate of $10.65/gallon.

And my wages havn’t moved anywhere ( except actually they are down because I (and the rest of our crew) was just told this week that I no longer have a job this summer doing what I love because of budget cuts… by the way as I mentioned in a previous post… I spend school years working with ‘special ed’ kids and summers maintaining trails and facilities in one of Americas best national forests…

so all of you out there that can do nothing intelligent but make personal attacks on this forum instead of trying to get our government to actually do their job for a change…. forgive me for being a little pissed off at this ridiculous government, its rhetoric and disfunction, and all you people who think you are doing something great for the country by spouting your crap on forums…. yes I may make points on this forum but I am doing my part to try to make this country stronger and i have been for 40 tax paying years.

      • JeffH

        …better to be pis$ed off than pis$ed on… :)

      • Joe H.

        brian,
since you work for the government, both summer and the rest of the year, was that misspell ” Herdworking” a freudian slip??? Just wondered……

      • DaveH

Maybe you aren’t Flashman, Brian, but it’s hard to tell you two apart. Is that just a Liberal thing? Hypocrisy, I mean?
Brian (or Flashman) says “Dave, please go learn something before posting anymore…”. Odd coming from a guy who says we shouldn’t be personally attacking people.

      • DaveH

Okay, Brian, I’m going to forget that you’re following me around making unprovoked attacks and thinking that you’re Sir Lancelot. I’ll talk to you civilly (not that you deserve it).
How can you blame your problems on Government (which is true), but absolve Obama who is building Government ever larger? Government, whether run by Democrats or Republicans, does not create productive jobs. Note that I said “productive”. Sure they can make jobs, but to do that, they take money from the productive private sector, which would have created far more jobs with the same money.
I’ve got a feeling, Brian (or Flashman) that you’re not here to learn anything, but rather to stir the pot. If I’m wrong, great. Here’s a Free online book that you can read to learn some reality:
        http://mises.org/books/capitalism_kelly.pdf

      • Brian Schultz

        DAVE,
I do not absolve obama of anything but I am sure not going to blame him for things that have happened because of administrations before him… how can one blame Obama for wars that were started by bush? How can you blame obama for a stagnant government that does not work for the people but rather spends all of its time in office collecting paychecks while doing nothing but fighting over democrat or republican rhetoric…

yes ‘herdworking’ was a typo and oh by the way just because some one works for the government doesn’t mean they don’t work hard…. how can someone be attacked for trying to teach the young? how can someone be attacked for working for the forest service to maintain “the largest Temperate Rainforest on the earth” (also the third largest air filter left on the planet).

How can someone be attacked for trying to take care of his family, with a long history of patriotism? how is it that someone can be attacked for speaking his mind about the injustices served on the people who built this country?

The only answer i can come up with is that my attackers must have nothing productive to do.

  • PatinGA

There is one flaw in your analysis. Obama wants to be Supreme Ruler and he won’t stop until he has achieved this.

      • Vigilant

“Doc,” Obama has sidestepped and circumvented the Constitution from the day he took office. When he can’t have success going through Congress he uses regulatory agencies to accomplish his ends. He is using the NLRB to unconstitutionally write labor laws favorable to unions, and illegally override “right to work” states such as South Carolina.

He abuses the commerce and tax clauses in the Constitution to illegally force individuals to purchase a commercial product (Obamacare).

He engages in military actions and flouts the War Powers Act, fails to prosecute voter fraud and intimidation cases, uses Czars to trample on the Constitution, fails to enforce Federal laws (Arizona) or defend laws on the books (DOMA), etc., etc., etc.

Now if that’s not an unconstitutional consolidation of power, then I’m a card-carrying communist. Wake up and smell the tea!

      • Joe H.

        Vig,
did you see the news about the new bill they want to pass that says your employer has to release your phone number and e-mail addy whether you want them to or not?? Total invasion of privacy!! Even your DOCTOR can’t do that legally!!! What total bull $hit!!!!

      • Vigilant

Joe H., you’re right of course.

BLS statistics show that only 11.8 percent of workers belonged to unions in 2011. ( http://www.bls.gov/news.release/union2.nr0.htm )

From their communist beginnings, the unions have always sought to sidestep the Constitution and gain unfair advantages over those who do not belong to unions (89.2% in 2011). The recent attempts to pass “card check” rules, and the NLRB’s unconstitutional part in denying Boeing a plant in a non-union state (SC) are just a couple of examples.

Obama’s lawbreaking in the General Motors case is another example. The attempts to strangle the taxpayers in the state of Wisconsin is still another. I could go on.

Brian and others need to face (but never will) the fact that unions have become nothing more than special interest groups, to the detriment of prices in the private sector and to the taxpayers’ wallets in the public sector.

      • Brian Schultz

technically vigilant, I do realize that NOW unions are nothing but special interest groups… I am refering back and pointing out that this country would have never become what it did (before the great disasters) and the people wouldn’t have gotten anything but used without the unions…..

I fully understand that greed destroyed the noble concept the unions established…. like the worker bees should be taken care of…

      • Brian Schultz

hey vigilantee, It would be interetsing to know what you do for a living…. if it wasn’t for labor unions fighting for the rights of workers, our grandfathers would have worked to the grave so the rich could get richer and they would have done it for peanuts and not been able to take care of theirr families….. much like it is now for us common folk who work in the trenches everyday for ridiculously uneven wage structure compared to the cost of goods and services…..Thanks alot rich republicans….. how about taking a paycut and giving some of the wealth back to the people that actually got it for you in the first place……maybe even a “thanks for making me rich” statement would at least help although it kind of backfires when you say “thanks for making me rich but I don’t give a crap about you, your families, your health, or the fact that i am selling you a gallon of milk for $10.65 each”

      • Vigilant

Brian says, “hey vigilantee [sic], It would be interetsing [sic] to know what you do for a living….”

Since you ask, I’m 65 years old and collect social security (for which I paid), collect pensions from the USAF and NATO for 38 years of serving my country, and I run an internet merchandise business.

And what do you do for a living?

And then, “….. how about taking a paycut [sic] and giving some of the wealth back to the people that actually got it for you in the first place……”

Sonny, the wealthy pay the lion’s share of taxes in this country, much of it going to the 47% or so who pay no taxes at all. You want to change things so the unconstitutional redistribution of wealth takes an even greater share of investment capital? This out-of-control spending has reached such disastrous levels that you could tax EVERYONE in America at 100% and still barely put a dent in the debt. Mathematically challenged, are we?

I earned my money the honest way and have NEVER taken a handout even when times were rough. I’m one of the “common folk” who worked in the trenches every day, and one who was educated when it was still truly an education, who used that education to better myself and my family.

Part of my education was history, which became a lifelong love. It has taught me to honor and respect the principles upon which this nation was founded, and those principles are obviously NOT your principles.

      • Brian Schultz

        O.k. vigilant,

so, technically we are on the same side….you will notice if you reread I was not saying that #! you were a rich person who needs to give back to the country… #2 you are in error if you think the rich people pay their fair share of taxes…..but enough of that…

here is your answer… Currently I spend the school years working with special Ed kids and I spend my off season working on a trail crew with the US forest service (although I have already been told that we all have no job this summer due to budget cuts). I have also spent 10 years as a Firefighter/ EMT 1 in rural Alaska saving lives and property… as a VOLUNTEER while working in Quality control and government compliance.

before that I was a typical Middle class worker from wisconsin, The son of one of the HEROES of the vietnam conflict (disabled) who was spit on by the people he was protecting (he was there from ’65 to ’68 when the troops were still thought they were doing there jobs and protecting America) called a baby killer by republican draft dodgers, and worse yet… forgotten by the government who sent him over there in the first place (it wasn’t until Ronnie Rayguns admitted in ’86 to troops going over the fence in the “noble cause” that my father finally received a revised 201 file and was given some back pay and his disability).

Also, I too have spent a great deal of time studying history but, I choose to think that we re to use history to grow from the mistakes of the past instead of repeating them over and over and over again…..

it is truly a shame that people who should be on the same side have to bicker even amogst themselves.

      • Brian Schultz

wow, this is a great attack on OBAMA…… your statement includes everything that every president in recent history has done

      • Brian Schultz

wasn’t it actually Republican Rayguns that started the whole Czar thing in america with the Drug CZar……?

amazing that you still attempt to put this all on OBAMA… do you just forget what the other presidents do as soon as they leave office?

      • DaveH

        Rayguns?

      • Brian Schultz

DAve, Dave, Dave…..it wasn’t me who coined the phrase….historically it was a freedom fighter and great lady named JOAN BIAZ who gave ronnie the name in 1968 I believe… so try to post something sensical as opposed to just attacking other posters…

      • Joe H.

        Brian,
joan Baez was a hippy demonstrator of the sixties, nothing more. the only reason she was so adamant in her fight was the fact that her husband was arrested for draft resisting, hardly a heroic act for himself. don’t put her on the same level as say a fireman that enters a burning building to rescue a child. It is suspected that some of her aquaintances were actually guilty of worse federal crimes than her husband.

      • eddie47d

Joan Baez was indeed a great lady and still is. She lead the fight for decency and human rights all over the world. As a side note my wife and I went to a Joan Baez concert on our wedding night in 1972. Went on our official honeymoon 5 years later to Ixtapa Mexico. My mother-in-law babysat our 3 kids for us for that week. Good memories.

      • DaveH

I didn’t coin the word hypocrite either, Brian, so don’t mind if I call you one.

      • DaveH

And don’t confuse a Freedom Fighter with somebody who calls for Bigger Government. Freedom is not something Granted by the Force of Government. Freedom comes from Less Government, not More.

      • R Crain

Are you in any way related to Jane Fonda? Your remarks and your way of looking at things reminds me of that SLUT. Of course, I noticed your IQ is about on average with hers also. She was a MORON also, and so was Joan Biaz.

      • R Crain

In case anyone is wondering, I was talking at Brian Schultz. With a last name like Schultz, I would think that you knew all about GERMANY1938. If you don`t, then maybe you should google it, and learn what your ancestors did too the Jews. Its the same thing Obomma, the Democrats, and the Republicans want to do right now. How could you possibly support that. Like I said before, MORON!!

      • Brian Schultz

        Wow R Crain,
it is people like you that MAKE ME SO PROUD TO BE AN AMERIAN… Yes, My last name is Schultz as your personal attack (on someone you know nothing about- look a few posts up —-) now someone like you blames me for a last name???? now, it is apparently my fault that my grandfather (russel Robert Blair) was adopted as an infant by John Christopher Schultz (who was a thrid generation FArmer in America) and named Alvin John Schultz (who, by the way carried on a long tradition of service to his country as an Army ranger in WWII)… then Alvin had a son (and 6 daughters) who also served his country and was highly decorated…..and then forgotten by the government for over 25 years, spit on by liberals upon returning to the country he was serving, and called a baby killer by cowards whose rich daddys protecred them from harm….. so keep up the attacks on me for speaking a rational mind… i’ll let it go on for awhile…. then I’ll give my address to all of you like yourself and DAVEH and invite you to come up… or maybe you can give me your address so I can visit you and give you a good old american lesson on respect for other humans and believe me it’ll definitely hurt you more than it will me…

      • Brian Schultz

note to moderators who are holding my reply to the personal attack… please forgive the word Arsehole…. because in this case it fits…

      • Brian Schultz

Just in case the moderators decide to censor me and let your attacks go on. I will reiterate in a more PG tone…

In answer to your off the wall personal attack…#1 I don’t have an ounce of german blood in me… My ANCESTORS were not the ones that killed the jews… MY ANCESTORS were Welsh and Dutch… as a matter of fact it was one of my ANCESTORS, John Stout who was one of the guys that bought Manhatten Island from the native Americans….

My name is Schultz because my Grandfather was adopted as an infant… incidently he went on the be a genuine decorated war hero for fighting AGAINST the germans who ‘killed all the jews’ as an Army Ranger….. so keep up your unwarrented personal attacks….as it is apparent that this is all that you can do…..

why don’t you attempt something worthwhile and give up on this site and perhaps write a letter to your congressman demanding that they work for the good of the people instead of big money and special interest.

      • Brian Schultz

Where did you go R CRAIN…. I notice you and certain others that blather on foaming at the mouth like a rabid possum don’t reply after you have been shut down…. you would think that a person such as yourself that makes such an agressive attack based on someones last name (mine- Schultz) without knowing any facts might actually be man enough to apologize for such a slanderous statement when you find out how wrong you are….hmmm guess not……

Oh and Dave, I’ll waste a little breath for your comment here as well…
first I am not following YOU around… I am on this site looking for INTELLIGENT conversation. and when I see something ridiculous- i’ll call it out.

second I am not here to learn anything, but to interact…. based on what I have read here lately I don’t have anything to learn….

I have come to terms with my interpretation of a higher power and I am not twisted by any organized religion or cult.

I have already determined that all is lost with this country… especially after seeing how you people work to help this country (by doing nothing but blather on in some ritualistic psychobabble…. you especially…dave…. one post you sound like a republican conservative, the next you defend democracy, and the next you declare democracy dead…. make up your mind!!!)

as far as personal attacks (or the lack thereof by your defense) you do not wait till someone attacks you… you come out shooting first… see your diatribe with flashy……. so feel free to come at me with a knife (or a gun- your choice) and I’ll disarm you of either and show you what a true American can do with just his hands… I have dealt with threats many times before and here is fact….. blowhards that make silly comments about knives and guns and fights are usually pissants that can’t defend themselves properly…

      • Brian Schultz

        Joe H,
Funny, I thought that joan Baez was an award winning folk artist besides being a how did you call it- “hippy activist and nothing else”

There is one flaw in your analysis. Obama wants to be Supreme Ruler and he won’t stop until he has achieved this”

and you are one to consult about flawed reasoning, Right?

      • DaveH

Do you expect Obama to state this explicitly, Deer?
Do you think Hitler campaigned on his intentions to kill millions of Jews and attack neighboring countries?

      • Deerinwater

as much as I might Ron Paul.

      • DaveH

You have absolutely no evidence for that statement. Ron Paul is one of the very few Politicians who is actually making an honest effort to get Government off the peoples’ backs. What budding dictator would do that?
I would think you could come up with a more logical rebut, Deer.

      • Deerinwater

The devil has always hid in the details, Ron Paul has been as light on detail as everyone else. How he plans to phase out SS has never truly addressed. Young people might well thing it a wise move and understandable. They have the time to make other arrangement but what about those that do not have the benefit of time to their advantage?

And then too, my guess is 99% of young American’s fail to understand or fully appreciated our social security system and all the many services that it provides to Americans, where the are aging or simply children survivors.

At 64 this March, even I don’t know a lot about such matters as I engaged the system as power attorney and executor of an estate and over lord matters in my fathers stead.

I could have retired a few years ago and learned more about it perhaps, by why? The system is there for those that “need”, for now , I quite simple do not need. Maybe my day too shall come and maybe it won’t. Maybe I’ll just drop off the radar screen and people might wonder, “Where did he go?”

I’m of the option that doctors and hospital will kill you, and until you are thinking you might well die anyway , ~ stay far, far away.

But you can’t expect young people to understand the fine points to aging. Ron Paul could well sell them a keg of rusty nails.

Yes, Deer, Ron Paul has addressed the Social Security issue:
        http://www.ronpaul2012.com/2011/10/24/ron-paul-is-not-ending-student-loans/
If you go to youtube and type “”Ron Paul” + “Social Security”", I’m sure you will find lots of his speeches to listen to.

Deer says “And then too, my guess is 99% of young American’s fail to understand or fully appreciated our social security system and all the many services that it provides to Americans, where the are aging or simply children survivors”.
I think, Deer, that they understand all too well that they are likely to get stiffed when the SS system collapses under its own Ponzi Scheme weight. Regardless, you or nobody else has the moral right to take away other peoples’ money, whether for their own good or not, and whether or not you vote for the people in Government to do your dirty work.
If the young people are foolish enough to put their faith in a Government-run system, they are certainly Free to do that.

I am a Newt supporter. But if God forbid Romney gets the nomination. I will do my part to convince faminly and friends to vote for Romeny.I will go to the polls hold my nose, as I did with McCain and pull the leaver for Romeny and say a payer. My small business will not servive a Obama 4 more years! Go Newt!!! Also I want to thank Romeny supports for all the negetive Newt ads every 30 seconds you just swayed my 25yrs old dauther in to a Newt vote.

    • Karolyn

No Newt is good Newt! How could you support this overstuffed, vile, lying creep? Just because he gets pissed and it makes him look strong? Actually, I think that’s what brings a lot of people to him, more’s the pity.

      • Tim and Cass Kennell

No the question is how can you support a guy who has a religion that says if you do believe what he believes that you will not go to heaven. Newt didn’t do so well but Romney is a disaster and will lose to Obama. We need to not take our eye off the ball and look at Santorum he is just as much in this as Newt. We need family morals and values to be brought into the fore front.

      • DaveH

Family morals? And just how do we achieve that by electing any of the immoral Republican candidates who aren’t Ron Paul?

      • Joe H.

        DaveH,
        AMEN!!!!

      • APN

…..and who said Ron Paul has superior morals to the aforesaid? Who’s morals DaveH, yours or GODS?

      • DaveH

Both APN. That’s judging from the writings attributed to God.
Ron Paul is the only Candidate who tells the truth, and who obeys the Constitution, and who doesn’t want to feather his own nest at the expense of the citizens.
Ron Paul is the only one who doesn’t excuse the immoral behavior of killing people who have not attacked our country in any way. Ron Paul is the only one who doesn’t excuse the immoral behavior of the Drug Warriors. And before you go off on me, APN, about your Drug Fears, you should read this:
        http://mises.org/books/prohibition.pdf

      • R Crain

Sorry, but family morals is not what we need. We need someone smart, all knowing, and committed to the American way of life. He/she will have to be ruthless as a junk yard dog, slippery as a eel, faithful, honest, and law abiding. Unfortunately God is already busy else where. Can`t say I blame him for leaving here.

“How could you support this overstuffed, vile, lying creep?”

Careful, Karolyn, your man hating penchant is showing.

      • Karolyn

No, I don’t hate men at all. Just men like Gingrich, among others.

      • Vigilant

Sorry, it doesn’t wash, Ms. Karolyn.

The compendium of statements you’ve made in the past belies your true feelings.

      • Dale on the left coast

Karolyn . . . how do you feel about the king-of-liars in the WH?

      • Karolyn

Vigilant – Those FACTS I have posted about men are just that – FACTS. For example: Men start wars; men commit more violence; men abuse more women than women do men. I dare you to find any information that refutes those FACTS. Just a little thought can bring anyone to those conclusions, although I have read much to back them up, as well as living a lifetime. Of course there is more, but I don’t want to go into an essay. I have never said that all men are bad, just that there are certain tendencies that the majaority of men have. I don’t know where you get the idea that I hate men. You should sit in on a “hen session” some time.

    • Bill Scantlen

THere is one thing about electing Nuetered Newt. He wants to colonize the moon by 2020. Now can anyone tell me where there is a better place to put 535 members of Congress?

      • Vigilant

Good point, but he’s not trying to colonize the whole USA like Obama is.

      • John

With a country that is about 15 trillion in debt and will probably be 25-30 trillions in debt by 2020 (because try as you may, if you believe the Newt will cut spending you are delusional), ~30+- million on welfare and another ~30+- million on unemployment …so a minimum of ~60 million taking money and paying no taxes, did anybody ask him how he wants to finance this?

      • cawmun cents

They already reside in the hellish cesspool known as DC.
Sending them to the moon would be a major improvement. For them.

    • Elevenarrows

Unfortunately, “Fed Up!”, it is exactly that same lack of conviction and moral courage that has gotten America to the place we now find ourselves. Too many voters have been holding their noses and voting for who they think can beat the opposition. In doing so, they have refused to step out, show some principle and courage and vote for someone who has consistently (with a record that proves it) defended the Constitution, played by the founding fathers’ rules and dared to stand alone when no one else had the decency to join him. As a Christian who actually lives like one, I have never had to hold my nose and vote for someone in whom I did not believe. I can go to sleep at night knowing that I did what was right. The Bible tells us that the powers that be are appointed by God. I don’t have to treat the polls like a slot machine. I can vote my conscience and leave someone’s “electability” to God. Perhaps, God putting acting-president Obama in office was a loud wake-up call to not just Americans, but also Christians who have not lived any differently from the unconverted people around them. The shame of the last election and probably this upcoming one is that Christians have failed to live like Christ and that has made all the difference: in our society, in the halls of Congress, in our churches, and in our families. America is reaping what she has sown and I am fervently praying God will show us mercy…which we, most assuredly, do not deserve.

As to your daughter determining her vote based on a candidate’s negative ads, WOW! That is most likely an excellent example of how little discernment the average American uses to determine very important choices. I have eleven children. Three are old enough to vote. I encourage my kids to research the candidates’ views on issues, to check out their voting records, to scrutinize their personal lives looking for what the founding fathers’ told us to look for in a candidate: strong, deep character. Once we choose our candidate, we educate ourselves on them as much as possible. We also learn the failures/short-comings of their opponents so we are then able to promote our candidate and speak intelligently about the opposition’s views. We donate money (what little we can afford). We put out signs. We mail literature. I would expect all of this to be the bare minimum Americans would require of ourselves. Watching a TV ad and determining who to vote for out of dislike for the negativity??? I wouldn’t admit that to others…

    • Doug Moses

I would like to see Newt win because he would crucify Obummer in a debate, but Romney has all the money and backers and would drag the independents and moderates….. I also would hold my nose and like with McCain. We’ve got to topple him one way or another!

    • Brian Schultz

How is it that your business will not survive 4 more years of Obama actually? It isn’t obama that is not getting anything done… it is the congress that is more busy with bipartisan rhetoric than actually worrying about doing what they are supposed to be doing… working for the American Populace.

    • libertybound

Don’t you know the Newt, Mitt and Rick scheme yet; they are both trying to get Obama elected so that is why they get up in the debates and just fight amongst each other. Their game is that you will get so tired of hearing their fighing in the debates that you will get so disgusted that Obama will get elected because nobody thinks Ron Paul can get elected because the Media has said so so it must be true, and besides Ron Paul will never change his mind and become a corrupted politican so he can act the same as Mewt, Mitt and Rick. Yep that sounds like a plan to me, a bad plan, but if you want Obama as president all you have to do is vote for Newt, Mitt, and Rick, that kind of gotta ring to it doesn’t it?

  • Kookie

I think you’re wrong. Wait till ONE of them faces Obummer.

Like all the other times WND has tried. This is nothing but posturing by Corsi and WND for book and merchandise sales knowing that they will loose in the end. Corsi and Farah laugh all the way to their of shore bank accounts.

      • R Crain

I can just about guarantee you that no warrant will be issued.Either the judge will drop it, or the Secretary of State will drop it. One or both will get cold feet. They know which side their bread is buttered on. The Obomma Machine will take good care of them for dropping it, and if they don`t, they are going to have a bad accident, involving all their families. Don`t have to be Einstien too figure that one out. I can only hope and pray that I am wrong. This is one time I would love to be wrong.

I thought I possibly could have heard everything, but this takes the cake; Chip Wood doesn’t think that Ron Paul isen’t corrupted enough to vote for? Huh? I thought that was the reason for this so called revolution; we were supposedly tired of all of this Washington D.C. bullcrap that we have been getting, now all of a sudden he is not too much like what we are trying to get rid off, so we have to try and work with this crap of the candidates and vote for a good solid congress. What in the world thinks that if we americans don’t have gumption enough to vote for one good candidate for president what makes him think we can get more than half of the senate and 2/3 in the congress? This makes no sense. What you do is you stand by the best candidate and you make it happen. Ron Paul is the only one who talks against the DNAA and the Patriot Act; no other candidate does, he is the only one. I mean here we are for the first time in america an american can be detained in indefinely never to be seen again, I mean come on people is this what you want for America?! Does your liberty freedom not mean that much too you? This may be our last chance to keep america from being taken over by socialist. If we do not stand up for this man who has left the campaign trail to file a bill against the DNAA and to keep the congress from blowing the budget again, you brainwashed americans don’t deserve someone as wonderful as Ron Paul!!! You are willing to be told what to do, what to say, how to live your life, and who you can vote for, if this is the america you want to live in, that is exactly what you deserve, and I will find a nice quiet peaceful island to live on, while the gov’t tells you from cradel to grave how to live your life til the day you die.

      • R Crain

You make some good points my friend. I would vote for Paul in a heart beat. If he picked Sara Palin or Allen West , or is it Keyes for his VP running mate, I think they would win hands down. Some of the stuff Paul believes and says kinda scares me, but he is consistent in his beliefs, and he wants to do what the Constitution says.Too me, that is a good start to getting this country back to we the people. I just don`t see the Obomma machine, or the Republicans party allowing this. If Paul got the nod, they would declare Martial Law in a heart beat. The republicans would probably try to declare it before Obomma.Make no mistake, both parties want to take us all screaming and kicking into the NEW WORLD ORDER, and I think only Paul, and whoever his VP is can stop it. I like Sara Palin also, and I believe she would work with Paul really well.

      • DaveH

Sarah is still struggling with the concepts of Freedom. Maybe over time she will wake up. Maybe not.

Thin skinned, where do these “Obama-bashers” get off with their incessant wordsmithing..this President has been subjected to the most vile ,unfair , attack strategy in the history of politics..they even tried to sell the nation on a theory so stupid as to suggest that someone can become President without being fully vetted by the nations premiere intelligence agencies..President Obama and his wife the First lady have been overtly insulted (calling the President a tar-baby ) in regular daily life such an insult could get you severely beat down, yet we had seated politicians using this juvenile tactic…….Thin-skinned no that is not even remotely truthful…but when have facts gotten in the way of Republican extremist tactics right ?

fear mongering, like he admitted, he’s been taking about “this” for 16 year!

        Paranoid Personality Disorder
        By Psych Central Staff
People with paranoid personality disorder are generally characterized by having a “LONG STANDING PATTERN” of pervasive distrust and suspiciousness of others. A person with paranoid personality disorder will nearly always believe that other people’s motives are suspect or even malevolent. Individuals with this disorder assume that other people will exploit, harm, or deceive them, even if no evidence exists to support this expectation. While it is fairly normal for everyone to have some degree of paranoia about certain situations in their lives (such as worry about an impending set of layoffs at work), people with paranoid personality disorder take this to an extreme — it pervades virtually every professional and personal relationship they have.

        “Great points?”

Like, for example, “..they even tried to sell the nation on a theory so stupid as to suggest that someone can become President without being fully vetted by the nations premiere intelligence agencies.”

Obama’s association with Bill Ayers alone could have stopped him from obtaining a security clearance in any other govt job.

And the ill-advised racial slurs of a couple of pols means that ALL Repubs are racists? What ever happened to the dictum of all lefties in pointing out the injustice of stereotypes? Do as I say and don’t do as I do?

        Great points my a$$!

Thin skinned aren’t we Doc, looks as if Vig hit the nail on the head and you don’t like it.

      • Deerinwater

Like or dislike is of little importance Sir, and not the issue at hand. Welling to accept there are “no” absoluteness in this world, I find self proclaimed “CONSERVATIVES” the most easily to offend of all people on this side of the grave.

You can call it thin skinned if you wish, I prefer to call it a weakness in sound conviction that they “ATTEMPT” to hide from others. The effort to hide this “doubt and fear” supersedes all other reasoning. In consequent, their reaction to conflict is misconstrued as being “thin skinned” . Of course this fails to explain everyone with the balance left to deny it. While we see “deny” is one of the few things they seem to truly excel at.

So it’s a Catch 22, much like a dog chasing it tail. No one can face your fears for you, it is the individual that host these fears that must face them. The cure doesn’t come in a bottle except for the worse most extreme cases. Most are more on the level of “walking wounded” and outwardly appear whole.

    • Brenda Choate

Obama was given a pass by the media and much of the establishment in Washington. He was a community organizer advocating socialist ideas before he became a senator. Unfortunately, he continued to advocate socialism when he became President. He is now complaining that “that nasty little document, the Const” is a barrier to him fully implementing his agenda.
Yes, there is some language used that is down right nasty is regards to the Obamas, but much of this is brought on by frustration and rage. The American feel that this president is intent on destroying the country and that he is a liar. His agenda does not resonate with the country on the whole. He has ignored the will of the people thinking he is better able to decide what is best for the ignorant public. If you disagree with his ideas, then you are considered an obstructionit. He rails against congress for obstructing his dream and describes the opposition as the “party of no”. The only compromise he knows or wants is utter surrender and being allowed to implement any program and spend any amount of money he wants. He decries the wealthy while being a part of that same group and continues courting them for contributions to his campaign efforts.

      • NC

Brenda All Democrat Presidents and candidates have been accused of being socialist and dangerous to this country> Do you have the guts to go back and study the more conservative Republicans’s contibutions to our economy like bush I and II Richard Nixon and Hoover and what they did to ADVANCE(?) AND PROTECT IT?? WHERE ARE YOU FIGURES AS TO EACH ADMINISTRATION THAT PROVE ANY PARTY HAS DONE BETTER THAN THE DEMOCRATS AS WE BECAME A WORLD POWER??

DO YOU HAVE JUST A BIT OF DENIAL IN YOUR EVALUATION? WE HEAR THE RHETORIC WE JUST NEVER SEE THE FIGURES!! HERE IS WHERE YOU DO IT!!

      • Capitalist at Birth

Hoover was a Democrat before he became a Republican. Nixon was not a true conservative. He is part of the Rockefeller Federalist wing of the Republican Party, which is only slightly better than the Socialist Democrat Party. Both of the Bushes are a part of the Rockefeller Federalist wing of the Republican Party, as is Mitt Romney. The only true conservative Republican Presidents in the last 100 years were Ronald Reagan and Calvin Coolidge.

      • Flashy

Coolidge set the stage for the Depression, Reagan was the second worst ever to curse us and began the war against the Middle Class (Bush II holding the bottom). Nice choices for what a Conservative will bring us.

      • John Woodbury

Hey Flushy, hate to pee on your throne but Coolidge was not President when the Federal Reserve was set up, and more than a few people believe it was the Fed’s cheap money that caused the stock bubble just as easy money in the 1990′s and early 2000′s powered the housing bubble. If you can you should read, oh never mind, I see the problem.

      • Brenda Choate

Yes I not only have the guts, but am studying American History at the present time. I have seen the progressive movement take over both the Dems and Reps over the years. I simply stated that FDR and LBJ had both instituted and enhanced the welfare state with their two programs. Just as with all movements, the progressive movement believes it is working for the health and welfare of the country, thus they recognized the need for labor laws then that have become an anchor around our necks. The implemented the FDA and other organizations to better the goods being sold to consumers, now those agencies have become dictatorial thru their rules and regulations.

      • eddie47d

Seldom is everyone satisfied when change occurs and FDR and LBJ were far from perfect. Yet few would want to go back to the raucous days of no benefits and lousy working conditions or this country being run by the likes of the KKK. LBJ took that organization on full speed and for the most part drove out their bad behavior.

      • Thinking about

As so many are willling to overlook and forgive papers written in the past and forgive Newtie for his failings, then it is time to “forgive” Obama for the community organizing.

      • Vigilant

So now you classify his socialist community organizing as a “failing?” Or his association with domestic terrorists such as Bill Ayers a “failing?” His statements that the Constitution is not sufficient a “failing?”

How ’bout appointment of a card-carrying communist (Van Jones) as a czar? Or the Mao-loving Anita Dunn? Or Dr. Berwick’s admission that Obamacare is wealth redistribution? Or his statements to Joe the plumber about wealth redistribution?

Maybe you didn’t hear his jump-the-gun condemnation of the Cambridge Police Dept. in the Skippy Gates fiasco. And where were you when his DOJ sued Arizona for enforcing immigration laws? Etc., etc., etc.

No, we’re not talking about “failings” that occurred a decade or two ago, we’re talking about a three-year assault on the Constitution, individual liberties and Capitalism. We’re talking about a well planned lifetime of socialist thinking that continues to destroy this nation as we speak.

“Failings?” His whole administration has been a failure.

      • Thinking About

I will try to make this as simple as I can. Many thought Ron Paul Should be forgiven for the newsletter contents which was written 20 years ago. Newtie thinks he should be forgiven for his infidelities because it was some years ago. If this is the reasoning to forgive these two then Obama should be forgiven for “organizing”. I hope this explains so you understand.

      • Vigilant

Good one, Joe, and unfortunately true.

Talking with a buddy today and I brought up the point that we have been so desensitized to outrageous and criminal behavior on the part of the government that these things generally have a 24 hour news cycle and then are never heard of again.

Obama & Co. realize this, and so continue to shred the Constitution at every opportunity, for they depend upon this desensitization and their certain knowledge that the lamestream media will either cover up or spin the news to their decidedly socialist preference.

      • wog1

I for one am having trouble paying our bills and keeping our family fed…
but i am not a deadbeat… I work my ass of, but to some it is apparently my fault that heating oil went from $1.75 /gallon in 2007 to $7/gallon by 2010, it must be my fault that milk went from $4/gal to $10.65/gal.

and of course I MUST BE A LIBERAL BEATING HEART and crying in my coffe when I found out this last week that there isn’t enough money in the budget to keep me employed this year…. yep thats my fault all right… but by all means I say let the gov’t keep up this bipartisan status quo and do nothing for the people of this country…. it is so much more productive to fight , bicker , and badmouth.

    • Bogusbob

Never heard anyone on the right call him a tar-baby. He isn’t even half black. Mostly mooslim and terrorist. I guess you weren’t living in the US when bush was pres. The MSM (that would be the obama news agencies) were attacking him every day and they were even trying to sell assassanation kits/games for him. With any luck the rest of the normal states like Georgia will dump him from the ballot as he doesn’t seem to think he needs to prove his qualifications to be anything.

      • Thinking about

Do a google search and you will find the persons name is Doug Lamborn. He has even made an apology.

      • poacher

it would be a good time to contact your state officials and urge them to follow georgia’s lead. there are a few more states already investigating.

it would be a very good time to show support for sherriff joe aepiao. he is under assault from the power abuse of the doj.

http://www.wnd.com/2012/01/georgia-court-told-obama-slam-dunk-disqualified/ ….Better get ready for other states to follow the same path ! RON PAUL 2012 !

      • DaveR

I hope other states follow Georgia’s lead. Anyone expecting a quick and final resolution of BHO’s eligibility to be president of USA is likely going to be disappointed.

Everyone needs to keep in mind that yesterday’s hearing was in a special administrative court system of Georgia, not in a regular court and not in a federal court.

No citation of contempt of court by BHO is likely; the GA judge and Secretary of State of GA aren’t that stupid. And BHO’s attorneys are correct that the GA Administrative Court does not (did not) have subpoena power over BHO to make him appear. But that GA court can decide who is eligible to be on a ballot in GA, although that, too, will be appealed if decided against BHO.

My guess is that the attorneys for BHO will now try to further muscle and muzzle the GA Secretary of State and the Administrative Judge if any ruling against BHO’s eligibility appears likely. Then they will seek to bring the power of federal courts against the GA Administrative Court’s ruling.

Here is a link to the GA Office of State Administrative Hearings
        http://www.osah.ga.gov/judges-dir.aspx
You can see a photo of Deputy Chief Judge Michael Mahili at that website. He was appointed in 1995, so he is obviously quite experienced.

      • DaveH

Racist? I haven’t seen that much at all since I’ve been on this site. Most of the Race talk comes from the people who are using the term “racist” when they can’t win the debate with facts.
And Brian, I defy you to find a comment of mine where I personally attack somebody that didn’t draw first blood. If you Liberals want to bring a gun to a knife fight, don’t expect me to stick with knives.

      ebonycap,
how many insults has this man hurled at the American citizenry?? how about “Those Bible hugging, gun toting, conservatives”? Sound familiar?? how about going around the WORLD appologizing for the Americans that died defending other countries? Saying we are over agressive. Maybe we are, but he has no right to go from country to country accusing us of it! He is supposed to be representing US not the Islamic brotherhood!!

      • eddie47d

You are one mixed up dude Joe! What business did we have in those countries anyway? You can’t be a Ron Paul supporter if you believe our foreign interventions have done us any favors. Someone has to at least make an attempt to make amends to smooth things over from the damage done by the previous administrations. Who knows maybe someday someone will have to apologize for Obama’s war in Libya.

      • Joe H.

no eddie, I’m not mixed up! I know very well we didn’t belong in those countries. That alone doesn’t give Abummer the right to represent us in that way! Have you not been watching since hegot in office? North Korea has been acting up, now Iran is getting worse, they don’t fear him, they think he is a joke, a weak joke!!

      • eddie47d

As Ron Paul says Iran is not the problem our policies are. When it comes to North Korea it’s been the same with all our Presidents not just Obama. Remember the USS Pueblo! When a national leader dies there is always much puffery and bluster to prove the replacement can be tough. Heck we do that at each of our elections!

      • APN

Both you and AMABO may want to “re-think” were you place YOUR blame…….it ain’t we AMERICANS….moron.

      • R Crain

As usual Joe, you are right. Obomma apologizes to everyone for us. In 1938 China, we were heroes with our all volunteer force of FLYING TIGERS. We have been heroes to many people in many countries. Many American soldiers laid down their lives for perfect strangers. We have always been there when they would let us, defending the rights of others. Those other countries were mighty damn glad to see a GI also. We were loved, and appreciated.BUT, as the world turns, we are now the enemy, and we must make restitution for our past sins. At the time, it was a blessing to see us, now we are to be shamed. All because of this half black clown, and his minions. Personally, for what its worth, I say for Obomma and all his followers to move somewhere where they will be appreciated. They can all tell each other stories, and sing cum by ya or what ever. The American people can be lax in their involvement, sometimes just down right lazy. But, there is a limit as to how far you can push a real American. When that line is crossed, as I think it has, then you can bet SOMEBODY is going to get a good ASSWHUPPIN

  • alexa

    Disagree. Politics is dirty.
Let’s see who is thin skinned or not. We already know Obama can’t even be civil with a governor who disagrees with him.
Then Obama cannot use it. Get all the dirt on the table now.
Keep the nominee unknown until the convention. As soon as there is an obvious winner, then Obama can start his own attacks on the nominee.
There is so much negative attack that no one will remember it after a few weeks anyway.

    • FreedomFighter

War is coming, I doubt we will see elections, if we do Obama will lose to anyone, even Micky Mouse.

Currently the powers that be are clamping down on the internet in draconian, Orwellian style, DHS is expanding from terrorist suppression to domination of the American people. Our military is being combed for those that wont kill Americans, whom are being removed, transferred or discharged.

Robots are coming online, plane, chopper, ground based that can deliver NERVE GAS and BIO Weapons, and are being deployed accross America. This is fact, can be proven, just read DHS information and Military.

Time is short, once plans are completed, we the American people will most likely be involved in WWIII, this will be used for Martial Law, and complete suppression, gun confiscation, FEMA detention centers, work camps, slave labor prisons.

All designed to bring in the NWO, then extermination of 90% of the worlds population begins in earnest.

        Hey Lifechanger,
I obama is a Marxist or at the very least a socialist who’s agenda is to bring the United States into the NWO. I think most of our presidents since Nixon have been moving us slowly in that direction. As to who put us in debt: Well, look to, was it Wilson, and the deal that got struck at Jeckle Island Georgia as the beginning of the last century. Obama can’t help but push us farther and the next president will most likely do the same as there is no way to stop this thing. Remember how the World Trade centers fell? Once they started there was no stopping them. This country has already started to fall and will finish and the next president, whether it’s obama or Gingrich, will help finish it to bring this country in line with the NWO.

Chip Wood decries the Repubs attacking each other and destroying their chance to defeat Obama…then he turns around and calls them ‘losers’ and bemoans the quality of the candidates running, while dreaming of his perfect cnadidates that didn’t run. Chip, you should know by now that every possible candidate looks good until you toss them into the political fire and reality of the race. The media has to do their job of digging into their life and views,as do the other candidates trying to win and all the flaws and warts become exposed…that’s how it works, and why many don’t want to run in the first place…but, keep attacking the Repubs and help Obama win…he will anyway, and we can all be glad for that!

EVERY firearms owner I have ever heard talk about or read has given one or more practical reasons for owning a weapon even though they do not need any reason at all beyond the fact that it is a Creator given right. That you have an opinion that disagrees with their reasons does not change the facts.

      • denniso

Does Vickie really think that a ‘creator’ gave her the right to own a gun? It sounds like you’re mixing up the Bible and the constitution. Believers unwisely think that their god wrote the Bible through men,yet I know of nothing in the words of Jesus that gives man a right to own a gun. Didn’t he supposedly tell you to turn the other cheek? Men of varying backgrounds and religions(or none at all)wrote the constitution that gives you the right to bear arms(whatever an arm is)….no make believe ‘creator’ did it.

For the literalists out there,we should stick to what the constitution says at the time, right? An ‘arm’ 200yrs ago was a muzzle loaded, single shot pistol or rifle. That is what you have a right to own or carry, not a Glock automatic or sniper rifle.

      • Mark in LA

John, the government may not be afraid of gun owners fighting back but as in every situation like it, they have to be worried about junior officers who won’t follow through on orders to shoot the people. The armed citizen being shot down in the street will make the junior officers question what the hell is going on here. Once the junior officers stop shooting the people, the government is toast.

Admittedly, guns don’t play as big a role in this as the fantasizers believe. It is probably more effective when the officers are ordered to shoot obviously non-threatening people such as when the mothers of the disaappeared helped bring down the Argentine junta and the mothers in Russia with pitures of their closed casket buried grandsons forced the USSR to back off and start answering questions. Once the floodgates opened the governments grip on the people was loosened until the government collapsed.

denniso read the rest of the verse you were trying to quote from the Bible. From the mouth of Jesus it says to get a sword which was the gun of that time. One thing that I have noticed is that with people that make comments such as your about believers “unwisely” believing that the Bible was God writing through man. They have to believe what they are saying. To actually try to prove what they say they believe might bring their glass house down. There is a history of people that tried to disprove the Bible from lawyers to academics. It is very interesting to see the results of said searches. The one caveat they all had was honesty with the facts as they found them.

“When governments fear the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny. The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.”

OK denniso, now you’re showing yourself not only to be a blasphemer, but also biblicly and constitutionally ignorant! First of all God’s name always is capitalized, unless you’re referring to a pagan god such as Allah. Secondly the Constitution states that ALL of our rights come from God and are therefore undeniable by man! And lastly, you can forget about trying to say what the Bible says or doesn’t say, unless of course you’re correct, as long as I’m posting on this site!!! And these words are written in red!

        Luke 22:36 King James Version
“Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.”

Of course there wasn’t no such thing as a gun in biblicl times, so don’t even go there butthead!!!

      • denniso

Gee whiz,I’m awfully sorry! I didn’t capitalize the name of your pretend god…oops,God. If your god were real and you really had contact w/ her,I doubt you would care in the least what non believers thought about her/it or how they spelled her name.

As to being correct, maybe you need to go back to school to learn how to write w/o using double negatives?
Would you try to explain the comment from Jesus.’turn the other cheek’? How about ‘love thy enemy’? Maybe in time you’ll realize that the bible was written by chauvanist men,who were more ignorant of the world than a 6th grader today. Also, that the gospels are full of contradictions that surely tell you they had no help from an alien creature.

      • denniso

So Vickie, do you really believe that the constitution was written by your ‘creator’? Just as the unlearned believe she wrote the bible,w/ all it’s mistakes and contradictions and obscenity? Your childish and tedious arguments for your god are so silly and hopeless that people who can think and read and comprehend just throw up their hands in amazement. If you come to know that humans are responsible for our lives and the well being of the very planet we exploit, you’ll be freed from the shackles of ignorance…try it,it’s very rewarding to actually use the mind that evolution gave you.

      • DaveH

But the Liberals, like Denniso, cling to the most fallacious, unfounded religion of all — Liberalism. Not only is it strictly a belief system, that is based on Hopes and Dreams fed to the Followers by Sociopathic Leaders who are just seeking their votes, but it has proven to be a failure everywhere that it’s been tried. The Big Government promoted by Evil Liberal Leaders and swallowed hook, line, and sinker by Ignorant Liberal Followers, just doesn’t work.
Big Government is a logical failure. Who is foolish enough to believe that the bureaucrats, with the power to force their services on the Customers, with ultra-secure jobs and higher salaries than their private sector counterparts, are going to be productive? I mean, so what if they aren’t? It’s almost impossible to fire them.
And Big Government is an experiential failure. Real life experience shows that the Bigger a country’s Government is, the worse its economy is:
        http://heritage.org/index/ranking

Yet, Liberals like Denniso just keep on promoting it. Obviously he is feeding at the trough somehow.

DaveH – I seemed to notice that flashy/flashman is on break and denniso came back in – they must have called him in to cover for flashy’s break – :)

      • vicki

        denniso says:
“So Vickie, do you really believe that the constitution was written by your ‘creator’?”

Just for fun I re-read what I posted and nowhere could I find any hint that I said or implied that the Creator wrote it. This would imply that either you have a reading comprehension problem or that I have a writing comprehension problem. Other readers can decide :)

Denniso: “If you come to know that humans are responsible for our lives and the well being of the very planet we exploit, you’ll be freed from the shackles of ignorance”

Ah the hubris. To think that little humans really think they can seriously harm Gaia.

Denniso: “…try it,it’s very rewarding to actually use the mind that evolution gave you.”

        Whom or what created evolution.

Oh and whom or what gave me the right to keep and bear arms? Whom or what gave me the right to be free?

      • vicki

        Denniso writes:
“For the literalists out there,we should stick to what the constitution says at the time, right? An ‘arm’ 200yrs ago was a muzzle loaded, single shot pistol or rifle. That is what you have a right to own or carry, not a Glock automatic or sniper rifle.”

The “literalists” out here notice that the Constitution did not say muzzle loaded, single shot pistol or rifle. We also notice what the writers meant when they said “arms”.

That would easilly cover a glock, a sniper rifle,…. The list goes on and on and on and…..

Perhaps you should re-think your argument. It appears to have more inconsistencies then the ones you claim (but fail to list, how typical) in the Gospel.

      • R Crain

Well Denniso, we may not topple the Govt. all at once, but a few for starters will do. I see 535 targets of opportunity in DC. If you look at State govt, those that agree with Obummer and his minions, then you have some more select targets. After a few start dropping, I would imagine that would weigh heavy on a few people mind.By a few people, I`m talking about those in Govt. that are still walking around with a bulls eye on their back.I`m not really concerned with it myself, I figure enough military guys will get together and take care of that little problem. I really only care about my little patch of woods here where I live. When you step into my woods, then we play by my rules.I have had plenty of time to rig some nice supprises for would be trespassers.I did tell you before we make all of our own stuff, didn`t I. Ammo, silencers, thermite, snares, knives.I really only care about keeping my little patch of woods clean, even though I`m surrounded by the National Forest.I have no intentions of dying in a Fema Concentration camp, I`ll choose my time and place. I will die on my feet, as a free man, but I`ll send a bunch of you buggers ahead of me to meet Jesus, and you win`t going to like what he has for you.

      • denniso

Gee!!! If only I could put my brain on permanent hold and become a rightwinger so I could have ‘people’ like R Crain on my side to clearly and thoughtfully discuss the gospel of the rightwing Creed with. Crain, you are an example of some of the most childish and thoughtless non thinking out there….calling congress people ‘targets’. Now that’s the kind of talk that can get you a visit from the secret service,to see if you are as much a lunatic as you sound like…by the way, there are no FEMA camps being built to house Americans as prisoners of a totalitarian gov’t….get over it.

Vickie…your earlier comment implied that you believe the constitution was written by god, when you said your right to own a gun was given to you by your so called creator. Now,if it’s the constitution that gives you that right, how is that connected to the wishes of your make believe creator unless she/it helped write the document? Do you also think you have the right to own tactical N-weapons,and that right was given to you by your creator? Do you have a right to own Tomahawk missiles? If you don’t think that a make believe ‘creator’ wrote or helped write the constitution then how would you make the claim that your gun rights come from a ‘creator’?? Has ‘she’ told you so? Are you clairvoyant?

      • DaveH

And there we have it, Folks. Denniso is an excellent example of the kind of pushy controlling disrespect we can expect if we let the Liberals get any more control of our lives.

      • Vicki

        Denniso writes:
“Now,if it’s the constitution that gives you that right, how is that connected to the wishes of your make believe creator unless she/it helped write the document?”

Thus you can see the problem with liberal education. Liberals foolishly believe that their rights are granted by the Constitution. If this were really so then those rights could be taken away merely by changing the Constitution. This would make them privileges and not rights.

It really isn’t the fault of the liberal. It is a planned subversion of the clear meaning and intent of the founding fathers in creating the contract between the States and the Federal Government. The liberal can’t help that he/she has been programmed in school for many many years to believe this obvious falsehood.

Denniso. Please do take the time to re-read what I wrote. I clearly pointed out that my rights are NOT granted to me by the Constitution. Hence the “than” part of your assertion is found to be void.

      • Vicki

        Denniso writes:
        “….your make believe creator….”

Question for you Denniso. Who created you? Is he/she/it make believe? If so how is it that you exist?

      • Old Henry

John and denniso feel that gun owners pose no threat to the government. If that is so then why all the continuous attempts to disarm the people?

Maybe the guns will not be as effective as we would hope, but they do give the people a fightng chance.

And as vicki stated NO ONE thought the colonists had a snowball’s chance in hell against the mightyest military on Earth.

      • James

Rick, The right to bear arms is our last recourse, not the Second Amendment. The Amendment’s “shall not be infringed” is a restriction placed upon Congress, it is not the right itself.

I can’t blame them, it’s unfathomable!!! I’ve been a believer since the end of 1993 and am simply amazed at the progression of things, especially in the last couple of years! It’s unreal and it’s right there in plain sight and you still can’t see it!!! Your eyes have been blinded by the god of this world! (II Cor. 4:4)

Please open your eyes to the facts. and by the way the numbers have shot up in obamas last 2 years.

I would think based upon your posts that this particular one would seem to be mutually exclusive. I thought you were the BIG POWERFUL WOMAN, not a victim at all? Shucks, Hillary Clinton on steroids, according to Dumniso!

I mean you are obviously a bitter little female. I think the real term is Marxist Feminist, correct? i.e.; GOD hater,Christian Hater, MAN hater, America Hater, Founding Father hater, etc etc etc …. but most of all MAN HATER and the primary reason being, you are angry about your gender, correct?

How dare GOD make you a woman!!!! or How dare EVO make you a woman, in YOUR case!!!

Marxist Feminism IS the problem we have in America and has been for about 4-5 decades now. It is the ROOT cause of where we are today and will eventually DESTROY America. Socialism always begins with Marxist feminism and then eventually morphs into full blown communism. That’s when all the innocent people begin to perish.

Bottom line, bitter females have Big barks, but no byte, unless of course you get your “Alpha Males” to do your bidding for you. I call it the 400lb gorilla mouth with a 100lb butt to back it up. HC being a prime example and eventually she will get us ALL killed.

So put that in your feminist evolutionary pipe and smoke on it for a while.

By the way, it is GOD the FATHER, not god the mother, and for good reason.

      • denniso

Vickie…if men writing the constitution didn’t give you your rights, like the confused ‘right to bear arms’,or the one the great Founders missed, your right to vote, then where do they come from? Does the Bible give you the right to vote? Does it give you the right to privacy in your home? Men,mostly, have given or taken rights from people for the half million or so yrs of human existence…the Bible, written by men of course, has done it’s share of shackling men and women both. We are responsible for what we do,singly and collectively as communities and nations, not some mythical creature.

As to Limbaugh…if you can’t see clearly that he is indeed nothing less than rich, elite, traitorous trash for what he does every day in essentially tearing people down for his own benefit, then you are as blind as most rightwingers and beyond hope.

I wonder if DaveH,w/ his heartfelt concern for the feelings of bigots and hatemongers here, has any harsh words for limbaugh in his virulent attacks on many of our leaders as well as entire groups of people?

I told you where. Look above. In my earlier comments not the sky.
The founders did not miss any rights. They even warned that there are lots and lots of rights NOT mentioned in the Bill of Rights. (See amendment 9).

I notice you evaded my question. Whom or what created you?

      • APN

Well, where exactly did Dumniso come from? Well, based upon her beliefs in “Science”;( you know that MAN made stuff that once believed the world was FLAT or currently believes in “Global Warming”), she must have come out of the butt end of a monkey, correct?

Wait a minute, we still have MONKEYS on this planet, don’t we? Well!, I guess those poor monkeys got left behind by their scientific god, aka….”EVO”. WOW! How powerful EVO must be!!! SHE, mother nature, chose to evolve some monkeys and not others. What a mother she is!

      • denniso

I scrolled through the above comments and didn’t find your comment about your rights…but i think you have just said that your rights are god given, whatever that means. You could repeat what your position is if it’s not too much trouble. If you think your rights come from your creator, then why do we need the constitution,if you’re not claiming that ‘he’ helped write it? Whatever it is,it’s clear that the Founders were elitists who intended for the wealthy white males to be in control. Why did they not give the vote to Indians,Blacks and women,as well as white men w/ no property? Why did we apparently need all the amendments that came after the original constitution, some more than 100 yrs later?

Who created me? No one, except my mother and father. Science doesn’t have absolutes like religion does, and that’s the fundamental difference between the two. You people need absolutes in a world where there actually aren’t many. Most people currently believe that for some strange reason there was a Big Bang and the universe began. After billions of yrs our solar system and our little earth was formed and life began after another few billion yrs, then evolved into what we see now. It’s actually pretty simple and well documented, but like all science is open to new findings.

How on earth, and why, would a creator go to the huge trouble of making an entire universe just to have his/her little beings on one little planet? Why would a kind, loving creator inflict such misery, pain and death on the beings that she is supposed to love so deeply w/ unseen and deadly creatures like viruses and bacteria? An invisible curse on the beings she loves so, that continued for thousands of yrs w/ absolutely no knowledge or even a clue as to what lay behind the terrible plagues that ravaged humans for most of our existence? Is there anything at all in the supposedly divinely written Bible that would give even a small clue about the nature of deadly viruses so that humans could have done something to save the innocent millions of babies and children that suffered horrible disease and lingering death? No,there is nothing in the Bible about the multitude of deadly bacteria and viruses that aflict us,because the men who wrote it w/o any divine help had no knowledge of the unseen threats.

There never was and still isn’t any god above us who has anything at all to do w/ us or our earth. We puny and flawed humans are in control, for better or worse,of our affairs and the future of the world. The good news about that is that it is possible for us to fix things, once we face reality and realize that it is totally up to us and our behavior. War,famine, climate change, poverty, crime, disease…it’s all on our shoulders and we can’t look to any myths to bail us out.

I’m talking to Vicki. APN is even more pointless to address a comment to.

        It’s not :)
On January 27, 2012 at 6:16 pm I specifically wrote that my rights were given to me by my Creator. In that text I was referring to a SPECIFIC right however it would be quite logical to presume that any and all rights that are mine come from my Creator.

Denniso: “If you think your rights come from your creator, then why do we need the constitution?

We don’t. However having a written contract between 2 people or groups helps remind people about what the agreements are.

Denniso: “Whatever it is,it’s clear that the Founders were elitists who intended for the wealthy white males to be in control. Why did they not give the vote to Indians,Blacks and women,as well as white men w/ no property?”

If voting is a right how could they not give it? However as it happens the Founders chose not to be the elitists you claim but chose to let the PEOPLE choose at the State level who was to have the vote.
Interestingly both Negros and women were allowed to vote depending on the decisions of each state.
        http://www.gilderlehrman.org/historynow/09_2004/historian.php
note also that after the Civil War it was Northern states that were most resistant to allowing Negros the vote.
“opposition to granting suffrage to African-American men was strong in the North.”

Denniso: “Why did we apparently need all the amendments that came after the original constitution, some more than 100 yrs later?”

Show evidence that we needed any of them let alone all of them.

Interesting choice of phrase. It could be interpreted as you do believe in 1 or more God(s). Is that what you meant? If not why did you say anything after “…isn’t any god…”.

Denniso: “We puny and flawed humans are in control, for better or worse,of our affairs”

That is rather the point of free will.

Denniso: “…War,famine, climate change, poverty, crime, disease…it’s all on our shoulders and we can’t look to any myths to bail us out.”

War, crime is under our control. Climate change, disease are part of the stage. Famine and poverty are some of the conditions we might find ourselves in if we choose unwisely. How we use our God given gifts in our reaction to those conditions is what we control.

No Vicki, I don’t think there is anything ‘out there’ that we would recognize as a god,or gods. The universe came from the Big Bang which came from some sort of energy flux which came from who knows what…if there was any evidence at all, other than believers ‘faith’,for any sort of god then it could be debated…but there is absolutely none. Feelings, faith, good deeds of a mother Theresa or Jesus’ face in a tortilla aside, there is absolutely no reason to believe blindly in your unseen, unknowable, unprovable and poorly defined god…except for fear, coercion and uncertainity that motivate most believers, and money and security for the priests and pastors and charlatans.

Do you really think the Biblical verse to eat clean meat covers the problem of the myriad viruses and bacteria that your god failed to inform his ‘children’ of? Kosher meat is no more clean of bacteria and viruses than other meat, and the people of that barbaric time would think of clean in the most simple way…washed w/ water. They didn’t have a clue that much of the water of the time was infested w/ pathogens. Your god looks to be more of a devil than a kind loving father.

“No Vicki, I don’t think there is anything ‘out there’ that we would recognize as a god,or gods.”

Interesting. You still imply there is something out there. Does that mean you believe in a higher power or Intelligent design? Or are you a believer that Nothing created Everything?

Denniso: “The universe came from the Big Bang which came from some sort of energy flux which came from who knows what…”

So you are saying there IS a higher power. But you just don’t know what it is.

Denniso: “if there was any evidence at all, other than believers ‘faith’,for any sort of god then it could be debated…but there is absolutely none.”

Other than the simple fact that we are having this conversation. Oh and the thousands of interesting constants that exist such that the universe actually works. Read Romans 1:20–22 where these constants are mentioned.

Now for a moment let us consider a dream. In that dream you are God(dess) incarnate. (assumes that you actually participate in your dreams).

Go to any one of your creations and prove to them that I exist or even that this conversation exists since you don’t really have any proof that I exist. Well other than these conversations that is.

      • denniso

No, I don’t think there is any higher power. What you and other believers don’t get is that science is a process of discovery about the world and universe. At no point in time can science give definitive answers about absolutely everything, since we don’t know everything…that’s what makes science alive,as opposed to religion which has nothing new to say about the world. Religion claims to know all,yet it really knows very little about anything. It was designed by primitive people at a time when there was so little knowledge of the world that absurd myths and fairy tales could be passed off on people in an attempt to explain the mysteries that abounded and gave the priests control over the masses.

No person of a scientific mind can say categorically what is beyond what we can see and quantify, but we try to keep an open mind about the possibilities, which seldom include a god. That’s because there is no evidence for any sort of god at all. Believers want to believe in a ‘higher power’ because they feel alone and empty w/o such a thing. That doesn’t make it true, just because people want it to be.

Because we can’t say what came before the big bang doesn’t mean we think a god caused it…it means we don’t know, and again, if there was any rational reason to think there was some god or higher power behind it then that could be part of the reasoning…but there isn’t because there is no logic in believing in something that shows us no evidence of it’s existence.

People do the same thing w/ silly things like paranormal activity or aliens flying around earth and. When these things are looked at critically there is no evidence or proof found, and yet many people still cling to a belief in them. Most people have a tendency to belief in superstitution of many sorts, and religion is just another one…one that has staying power because it has been w/ humans from the earliest days, and because it’s easier than developing a critical mind and breaking from the past as well as from the majority opinion.

      • vicki

        Denniso writes:
“but there isn’t because there is no logic in believing in something that shows us no evidence of it’s existence.”

3 times I have shown you the evidence. 3 times you have denied Him.

Let us get back to the beginning of this philosophical side trip and discuss your rights. Since you have no Creator you have no rights. Present yourself promptly before us so that we may fit you with proper chains.

      • denniso

You are indeed a true believer,as are most Republicans. That’s why there is little hope of dialogue between the 2 parties…Repubs/believers have an absolutist view of the world and human nature and think they know everything w/ certainty. How can people have a discussion about serious issues when one side believes so adamantly that they can’t compromise or accept differences of opinion? Religion has poisoned the human mind and convinces believers that there are absolutes, like their god. It’s convenient, but wrong. The world and human nature are much more complex than the simplistic view put forth by all religions.

I am pleased that we didn’t resort to name calling. As to that, when bigots and hatemongers attack me or others I don’t shrink from calling them on it. I don’t even mind calling them names to point out their evil ways. I never call someone a derogatory name if they haven’t begun the game. Best wishes,Vicki.

A rather absolutist view of Rebubs/believers don’t you think.

Denniso: “How can people have a discussion about serious issues when one side believes so adamantly that they can’t compromise or accept differences of opinion?”

Extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice….
Compromise in the persuit of freedom is no virtue.

Why should people compromise on freedom beyond the obvious of not infringing on the freedom of others? (See “First Principle” posted above). See also the writings of the founding fathers.

Denniso: “Religion has poisoned the human mind and convinces believers that there are absolutes, like their god. It’s convenient, but wrong.”

Like junk science which tries to convince the people that the sky is falling (AGW thanks Al G.). It’s convenient, but wrong. :) Is it the religion or is it the (evil) people who try to force their religion (thru government force in this example) on others that is wrong?

There are a large number of absolutes in science too. Just one of them is 0 deg K. No telling how cold it would get otherwise.

Denniso: “I am pleased that we didn’t resort to name calling.”

We have debated before so you know that I don’t bother with such. Usually :) . We can and do have differences of opinion. They can even have opinions over what my rights are. Where I get annoyed is when people try to get others to use force to try and take from me my birthright(s).

WND was involved? The national inquirer of the loons? Well, this will go before the federal US supreme court and the outcome will be the verdict will be overturned and Georgia will lose… I believe those people are grasping at straws. Instead fighting Obama at the ballots, they try to prevent him to be on the ballots and thus the outcome will be that his followers will be even more determined to vote for him and even fence sitters will vote for him. Remember just because he is not on the ballot does not mean that he can not be written in.

      • Tom W.

You aren’t grasping what’s being said are you John?! It says that he DOES NOT QUALIFY AS A NATURAL BORN CITIZEN!!! Thus making him uneligible to run period! Is that setting in John, Just as Arnold Schwarzenegger (Thank God!!!) was uneligible to run, so is Barack uneligible to be president!!! If true, and it looks to me like a righteous complaint, how did this mistake happen!!! How in the hell could someone not qualified get elected to the highest office in the land?!! Heads must roll!

Ephesians 6:12 – King James Version
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

        “WND was involved?”

As in the only news source that is actually tracking and reporting the events surrounding Obama and his possible eligibility. I would think you would cheer them on for actually caring that he is eligible.

Or are you perhaps hiding some facts that he is not?

      • Tom W.

Peeper, thank you so much for that site! I can really use the free Hebraic Roots Bible download, I believe it’s going to be an awesome read!!! If you’ve never read Jerome Corsi’s book “The Obama Nation”, I highly recommend it. It’s a shame more people didn’t read it prior to the 2008 election, of which I’m guilty also. If more people would’ve, he might not of gotten elected. Not only does it contain an accurate bio, it also cronicles his time as a community organizer in Chicago and all of his indiscretions as such! An excellent read.

      • Jerry

        Mr. Chip Wood,
You sir are perhaps the most negative & filled with disdain voter & writer that I could ever imagine there to be.

While we “all” can be wrong, let me predict to you sir, that this will be the election cycle that (One of our STRONG GOP candidates) succeed to take back the white house from OBAMA. And by the way, ROMNEY will be (MY opinion) the most equipped to accomplish the above.

        Have a good day sir.

PS: In the future, try to be more “optimistic”, as you sound as negative as possible…!

      • R Crain

Jerry, he has every right to be negative about the coming election. All you people need to pull your heads out of your assess. You people just don`t get it. The fix is in. BOTH PARTIES have the same goal. Let me give you a HINT, NEW WORLD ORDER!! The Republicans and the Democrats are both working the same side of the street. They are going to take us all kicking and screaming into the NEW WORLD ORDER. Our only chance to turn this around, and save this Republic was with the TEA PARTY. It was the Republicans that put the knife into Herman Cains back. It was the Republicans that ruined it for Sara Palin. It was the Republicans that sabotaged Michell Bachman. Anybody that votes these two parties,Demo or Repub. is going to lose this country. The fix is in. Do you want to see the Democrats and the Republicans piss themselves? Do you want to see this election go VIRAL overnight? Do you want to see the stock market go thru the roof. Want to see World Bankers shaking in their boots. Get Sara Palin to throw her hat into the ring. These clowns in DC are terrorfied of this woman. They tried to get her to join the BIG BOYS CLUB back in 2008, and she told them to stick it where the sun don`t shine. She has one goal, to save this Republic, and its people. She may not be everyones cup of tea, but she is way more qualified than any of these clowns in DC. They know if she is elected, many of them are going to prison for a very long time. She will clean house. You won`t have to worry about voter fraud, as neither the Democrats or the Republicans can raise that many dead voters. Hard to beat a LAND SLIDE ELECTION!! These SOB in DC have forgotten who their bosses are, and its time they were reminded.Get Sara Palin to run with Herman Cain, or Michelle Bachman, and you will either see a land slide victory, or Obummer declaring Martial Law, to stay as our beloved dictator. The first thing she should do is arrest and jail all 535 members in DC. Charge them with TREASON, and hold emergency elections for new members. ONLY ELECT new members with a strong belief in the US CONSTITUTION, the BILL OF RIGHTS, and take back this Republic. Give them a fair trial, then execute them on National TV, so the world can see what we do to TRAITORS of the American People. This will let others know what happens when you mess with REAL AMERICANS! I imagine a lot of people will die in the next few months, but that is the price of FREEDOM. Lets git er done.

      • Jerry

No one put a knife into Herman Cain – it was his foot in his mouth that did him in… 999 – please… Libya? where’s that?

“… Sara Palin to run with Herman Cain, or Michelle Bachman, and you will either see a land slide victory.”

You must be dreaming – these candidates cannot win a general election. True or not, they come across as not too bright along with Rick Perry. Independents will not go with them. sadly, Ron Paul is the best candidate, clearly intelligent, high integrity, but doesn’t stand a chance against the machine that opposes him.

      • merle

Rcain. Wow you need some professional treatment.H. Cain dropped from the race because of his moral issues, Sarah Palin while many like her is not intelligent enough to take this on, Michelle Bachman is intelligent but doesn’t have the stanima to keep up. I too wish we could clean house and start new but not in the insane way you describe. But this isn’t going to ever happen so we must elect the strongest of the weak that we have.

      • Tom W.

R Crain , excuse me but were you referring to Herman “Da Playa” Cain, Sarah “I can see russia from my veranda” Palin, and Michele ” Let’s sing happy birthday to Elvis” Bachmann as true Tea-partiers?!! These are posers sir!!! Jason Chaffetz, Mike Lee, Allen West, Rand Paul, and Kristi Noem are a few good examples of of true Tea-party Patriots!!! I would go as far to say that the three you named are left-wing plants whose sole purpose it was to make the Tea-party look bad!!! What are you smoking sir, and do you have any more?! On second thought, no I don’t want any of that stuff!!!

      • Joe

If the “fix was in”,then Palin would also lose because the voting numbers would be “fixed”.

      • Tom W.

Romney’s a heretic Jerry! I would rather vote for Barack, who at least claims to be a real Christian, than to vote for a man who follows a cult whose founder claimed that he found the lost Urim and Thummim of biblical antiquity while digging post holes on the family farm in upstate New York! I will guarantee you Jerry, as sure as Bill O’Reilly’s a closet Lady Gaga groupie, that if Mitt wins the GOP nomination the network airwaves will be filled with expose’s on the Mormons and their beliefs! Our beloved POTUS will play the faith card on Mitt in a Manchurian moment!!! Probably even tying his family tree to Warren Jeffs somehow!

      • http://google rose

Think aout what you are saying. You won’t vote for Romney because he is a cult member, but you will vote for Obama because he claims to be a christian.
They both claim to be christian, but both of them are members of cults that allow them to lie and call themselves christians, all in the name of their religion. One is no better than the other.
When I read between the lines of Chip’s article, it sounds to me as if he wants Obama to win. I didn’t say he supports Obama, I said he wants him to win.
Chip seems to think that if Obama wins that it will open the eyes of conservatives and then real change will come.
No way. If conservatives will not stand up now and try to put a true conservative in office now, while they have chance, they truly will not or will not be able to put one in later. Voting republicans into congress to try and put a halt on big government hasn’t work yet. Because many are not true conservatives. So many people just want to get Obama out of office and are willing to vote for someone who is just as bad, just for the sake of getting him out of office. But it is not about just replacing one yo-yo with another, it should be about putting the reins on an out of control government.
We have a chance, but I think we are going to blow it.
Ron Paul wants to get back to following the constitution. The one thing that has made this country free. Men died to bring the constitution about and all it seems is that we keep voting people in that want to trample over it.
I for one, will vote for Ron Paul and live with my conscience. And if he does not win, prepare for the worst that will befall this country.
        God’s will be done.

      • Tom W.

Very well said Rose! I pray that you know that I was just jesting about voting for Obama! I too think that Ron would be the best choice from the ones we’re offered. Although I must say for the umpteenth time that his stance on the Islamic problem can only be compared to Neville Chamberlaine’s stance on the Nazi’s prior to WWII! Islam is not a religion! It is PURE EVIL!!! And must be dealt with accordingly! Any Muslim who tells you that their religion is a peaceful tolerant religion is simply telling you a “taqiyya” or is decieved themselves! History speaks for itself.

Funny I heard the same sort of dribble when Bush was in office. The republican congress even proposed eliminating presidential term limitations so Bush could become dictator.

None of it happened. How much of your fear mongering is going to happen – probably just as much.

      • R Crain

You can call it dribble, or what ever you want, but if you believe for one minute that the Republican Party has your best interest at heart, then you will most likely be one of the first to enter the Detention camps. The Republicans are now just as bad as the Democrats. They proved that already by not challenging Obummer and his gang when they opened the detention camps, when they recently passed the laws taking away your rights to a hearing. Now they can take your citizenship. WAKE UP MORONS!!This do nothing congress voted for this crap. They are ELITE, so they think. They are above the law. So they think. Obummer will not UNELECT HIMSELF. Why do you think he is passing all these DRACONIAN LAWS against we the people. Why do you think both parties voted over whelmingly in support of these laws. They are backing him to the hilt, and guaranteed it with their vote. Thanks too Bush, the United States of America is now the NORTH AMERICAN UNION. Bush and others knew that UN Troops alone could not police and take over this country. SO, they formed the NORTH AMERICAN UNION. When the UN TROOPS are deployed to put down civil unrest, they will be backed up by Canadian and Mexican troops, who are already here in this country. A lot of the bases that were closed due to cutbacks, are home to these troops. They also occupy several Fema Camps. Our military will do nothing for us. Those that refuse to fire on American citizens are being discharged. Its up to us, the tax payers, the workers, to keep this republic of ours. Look around you, pay attention, this is 1938 Germany all over again. Some fellas were here today, and I was talking about 1938 Germany, and the holocast, and they had no idea what I was talking about.Absolutely, no idea. When I explained it too these 40 year old guys, they said that could never happen here. Again, more people with their head up their ass.I truly feel sorry for all these uninformed people. Pointing a finger? Oh, the horrors, she points fingers at a man who orders the deaths of American citizens without a trial, a man who breaks the Constitution every chance he gets.
She pointed her finger. Egads. Give her life!

      • Deerinwater

only among a few in South Caroline and Arizona perhaps.

Brewer has done herself a disservice and this little stunt has sent her over the top. Even I, a Texan am embarrassed for the people of Arizona. Harboring contempt is one thing displaying it on a national stage to the most powerful elected official of the nation is quite another. Her humming bird a$$ will be history.

Arizonan voters have already sent some of her TP people packing, she will be next to go. Like a train rolling down the track, the train will arrive at the station, some will get off and some will get on.

      • eddie47d

Arizonians kicked out Chris Simcox and they can just as easily do it to Brewer. The herd can’t be corralled like Simcox thought he could do to the voters with his own bully tactics.

      • DaveH

Flashman says “Has anyone else noticed that the current folks the TP contingent admires have no class? None. And the females of these are more akin to the trailer trash type than elegant sophistication?”
This coming from a man who has no credibility on this board.
He lies, he slanders, he plagiarizes other writers words as if they were his own, and he uses the adolescent Liberal techniques of name-calling and other personal attacks in an attempt to win a debate.
Yet the loser, Flashman, has the nerve to call somebody else “trailer trash”.
Follow this thread to see just one example of his immoral behavior:

      • GrayStroke

WOW TEA PARTY has no class really???? when challenged NOT ONE accusation about the TP ever materialized. Compared to teh OWS left over failed hippie off springs. We do not know the context of the conversation but we do know that your savior has treated THREE governors the same. He is a petulant man-child soon to be YOUR dic-tator… I’m not his boot-licker as many of you are so good luck when it all comes down. The GOP is on course to self-destruct as planned so they can look at you all with teary eyed look to say “gee we did our best and lost” sniff sniff McCain redux 20.0…this is so transparent and pathetic and even more pathetic is listening to Hannity and all the talking heads as if this all mean something….Hegelian dialect look it up……create problem and conveniently provide solution. Create economic condition for social unrest and train military in LA for urban control gee wow that is just so hard to figure out…..For all you panty wasted white folks that think Mitt-ns or Newt are better then Chairman Mao-Bama you are really brainwashed and delusional for trying to rationalize why one is better then the other…Haaaa….where is the TEA PARTY???? pathetic losers are LOW PROFILE NOT attacking failed policies NOT pushing the candidate to man up against said failed policies and refuse to support the ONLY one that still fights for the Constitutional fundamentals.

In summary TEA PARTY leadership SUCKS, GOP game SUCKS, white folks supporting any one of these two SUCK, the voice of reason and limited government is nearly inaudible…..

Before you get your man purse all sweaty trying to reply I’ll mention again My words about white folks suck is tuff love, not about race; it’s about trying to jar your lethargic mental fog once you get your cranium removed from the abyss…. The ONE chance we have to turn back Marxist policies IF you folks would drum up loud and clear to force the GOP to deal with policies and forget the 20 year old meaningless history…but nope … Ron Paul is not perfect either but just the overwhelming support of this man’s policies and fiscal restraint would FORCE the dialogue to reveal Obama’s failed policies and put the Democrats on the defense…gee a country hick like me can see a simple battle plan I see no strategy nor tactical solution from from all you politically involved folks other then trying to out slander one candidate over the other…

oh well folks good luck……. God bless the remnant…

      • bobby

Gray Stroke, I agree with you. I am a tea party, sign carring, strong supporter of the things the tea party stands for, smaller government, control spending, lower taxes and less government control. These things describe Ron Paul and every thing he stands for. Tea party leadership has supported all the other candidates, mostly because the media and establishment republicans say that Ron Paul is not electable. If the mainstream republicans want to win the election Ron Paul is the only candidate that can beat Obama. People wanted change when they voted for Obama. They still want change. Ron Paul is the only candidate that offers change.

      • Karolyn

Bobby, Very good point. Change is why I voted for Obama.

      • Mark in LA

There is a saying from Eric Hoffer:

“Every great cause begins as a movement, becomes a business, and eventually degenerates into a racket”

        http://www.goodreads.com/quotes/show/98215

The tea party because it is Republican based just got to the racket part a whole lot faster than most. When I saw Dick Armey as a leader of some Tea Party group and poaying himself 700,000 dollars a year, it was obvious what it had morphed into.

      • daniel

Good for you Karolyn. Change in your pocket is all you will have left.

      • Deerinwater

Not enough perhaps , but much change has taken place in the last three years. The Senate managed to block as much as they thought they could getaway with. If elected, Ron Paul will face much the same.

      • APN

Karolyn said: Bobby, Very good point. Change is why I voted for Obama.

What part of the undefined change did you vote for and how is that undefined change working out for you?

        Beam me up!

      • wog1

Maybe so but Obama could have addressed it in private not in public one the tarmac. Obama is at fault even more so the Brewer.

      • Thinking about

Why did Brewer meet him on the tarmac if she wanted privacy, it was a set up by Brewer all the way. And what is with the finger shaking and who did the finger shaking.

      • Vigilant

“Why did Brewer meet him on the tarmac if she wanted privacy, it was a set up by Brewer all the way.”

Brewer met the prez as a matter of protocol, and it was Obama who broached the subject that started it, dummy.

“And what is with the finger shaking and who did the finger shaking.”

        Answer: good PR.

        Next question.

      • Tom W.

You think too mch Thinking about!!! If I’d have been Jan, he’d have been laid out on the tarmac! You don’t disrespect a lady!!!
Well all this bickering has made me hungry! I’m going to Waffle House for the All Star Special! Think about that!!!

      • eddie47d

So Tom now thinks that “ladies” can be disrespectful to get their point of view across. We’ll leave that raucous behavior to Ann Coulter and she definitely isn’t a lady. In other words Brewer should have showed more class.

      • JeffH

eddie says Brewer is disrespectful How about what really happened..the thin skinned Obama didn’t like her comments about him in her book and told her so then threatened her to cease and desist just like he did to Bobby Jindle in Lousiana, twice. Obama is thin skinned and nothing more than a Marxist community organizing thug and bully. His actions have proven that time and again.

      • JeffH
      • http://deleted Claire

Brewer has a book to sell. Typical political shenanigans, trying to encite the public.

      • Patriotic Warrior

We all saw the “note” of Jan Brewer on national TV. It was much nicer than any one that I would have written. She gave BHO a note because he was flying out to Colorado & Nevada (on your taxpayer dime!) to spread the lies in his lame State of the Union address. The AUDACITY & NERVE of Obama to visit a state that his very own Attorney General has filed law suites against..just as in South Carolina. Eric Holder now in charge of “Financial Fraud”….what is he giving the NEW NEW BLACK PANTHER’S A JOB?…Holder didn’t seem to care about WHITE voter’s being intimidated, I suspect that WHITE Financial Fraud investigations will run wild….but BLACK….that will be another story!

Anyone notice Sheriff Babeu missing?? And Arapio as well?…they didn’t even want to shake BHO’s hand or be a part of any so-called “Welcoming committee”.. BHO & his policies on the border have caused the death of our border patrol agents….have you all forgotten about the nearly 100 agents that just turned in their badges over the interference of the Federal Govt. into their state laws? American’s need to take MEMORY PILLS! Seems like most can only recall things that happened less than a week ago! If you don’t know “HISTORY”, YOU ARE DOOMED TO REPEAT IT!

      • Flashy

i would say he addressed it privately. No one heard the exchange. Brewer showed she has no class. If her approval ratings rise because she showed she has no class, well…that says something about those who gave her that rise doesn’t it ?

      • Tom W.

I kinda LOVED the way she put her finger in his face Trashy!!! I wish Jan would’ve ran for the White House! She’d have gotten my vote! I guess that class is in the eye of the beholder Trashy.

      • poacher

of you feel contempt for someone and you completely despise them, is it classy to be a hypocrute and pretend things are different?

      • Dale on the left coast

She had to ambush the Obammy clown at the airport . . . cause that is the only way you could get his attention . . . other than maybe booking a tee time next to his at the golf course.

      • http://liberty Tony

        To Flashy and everyone else:
Jan Brewer is representive of the sad state the GOP is in. Also, letter these inept Tea Partiers destroy it. The sad thing, as i mentioned upteen times, i’m a Repub/ fiscal conservative myself.
This article is indicative what going to happen this year. What’s happening in my state of Wisc. is a great/sad example of what i just talked about. Anyway, lets pray by 2016 the Gop gets its act together.
        Thanks.!!

      • http://liberty Tony

A quick correction letting. Thanks again!!

      • Ann

No disagree, some people just don’t deserve any respect…period.

      • truckinjarheadretired

        Ann,respect is EARNED, NEVER given.

        Semper Fi

      • John

Even though Obama ine person has not earned this respect, the office of the president of the United States is deserving this respect. And thus Brewer was wrong for what she did in public during an official visit.

      • APN

Well John, respect is a two-way street. It works both ways my friend.
When this clown in the WH begins to take his SWORN constitutional duties as CLEARLY defined under Article 4 Section 4 of the constitution, well, we may just roll out the red carpet for him. Until then, he will continue to be disrespected until he is dethroned come November.

Go read A4S4 and then come back to me and explain just exactly why this man should not be impeached along with about 75% of the house and senate.

      • DaveH

Remember, the politicians are supposed to represent the People. They AREN’T Kings.

      • APN

        They think they are DaveH.

      • Joe H.

        Deermakingwater,
A lot of people must agree with her! Her book sales went from number 2300 or so to number eight!!! Maybe YOU are in the minority!!

      • John

        book sales mean nothing.

      • Joe H.

Correction, John, it means a lot of people saw the picture of her admonishing Abummer and were interested enough to buy her book!!

      • http://deleted Claire

I have never purchased a book “written” by any politician. Too many of them have “editors.” In reality, the editor writes the book for them. Besides, they don’t have anything I want to read, let alone hear. And I haven’t missed a thing, only more rhetoric and tripe. They all write a book in order to “make money.” Well, good for them. I will keep my money.

      • APN

        I agree Claire completely.

      • R Crain

I commend Bruer for standing up for what she believes in. I got into a altercation with some VA doctors a few years ago, and I refused to back down. Knocked a couple of them on their sissy fied butts, and set them clowns straight right now. That got me thrown in jail, with a visit to the judge. This federal judge must have been about 89 years old, and he looked down his crooked nose at me like I was vermin. He started out with a lecture, but I told him very clearly : YOU PUT YOUR PANTS ON THE SAME WAY AS ME, ONE DAMN LEG AT A TIME. The bailiff took me to the floor, and told me to apologize, and I told him to STICK IT. That judge gave me 8 months to think about it at THE FEDERAL DETENTION CENTER in Springfield,Mo.I got took meet some very interesting people too say the least. Gotty, the Teflon Don was there with me.I spent most of my time in the medical ward, and solitary confinement. I would not submit because I was being held with out any charges. I was there because I told a federal judge what I thought. The reason I went to jail for the first time, was dropped, the doctors I whipped were transferred. No charges were ever produced against me. I hired a attorney, but the judge resigned. But, the feds did cut me a nice check for my trouble. That is but a small sample of what each of you will face in the very near future, but the Feds won`t cut you a check. Would I do it again, YOU BETCHA!!! NEVER SUBMIT!!

    • http://personallibertydigest Frank J.

i agree Alexa. I have a favorite in this nominating process but i will with every fiber in my body work to vote in the eventual candidate. ABO….anybody but obama is what my bumper sticker says.

      • DaveH

Voting for the lesser of two evils perpetuates evil.

      • APN

All mankind seeking political power are inherently evil, so voting for the lessor evil just means less evil.

        My opinion of course.

      • vicki

If everyone planning on voting for ABO would vote for Dr. Paul they would get their wish AND set the country on a much safer path at the same time. Its a Win-Win action.

      • DaveH

But the Leaders and their Political Cronies wouldn’t get their wish — total subjugation of the people. So they will fight tough and nail to keep the populace dumbed down.

      • APN

The populace couldn’t get any dumber! DAYCARE 101 is here to stay until chaos strikes. Then you will see REAL change.

    • Tom W.

I couldn’t disagree with you more alexa, it makes no difference whether you keep your candidate hidden till the convention or not, the very next day the mud would be a flyin’! The best defense is a great offense!!! (Or do I have that backwards?) But anywho, I still say that Barack is vulnerable on his record as a community organizer in Chicago, and needs to be HAMMERED on it!!! If blacks in this country come to see this NWO elitist for what he truly is, he’s got about as much chance as a white man at a Ugandan cookout!!! He served as personal council for one of Chi-towns biggest slum lords, Tony Rezko!!! This man made his fortune oppressing poor minority folks! And the Obamas took advantage of their relationship with this Arab gangster to make an illegal real estate deal in regards to their Chicago mansion! HAMMER TIME!!! OMG, OMG, OMG, OMG, OMG…… Let your voices be heard America!!! From sea to shining sea!!!!!!!!

      • truckinjarheadretired

Tom W, Nobama is a pathological narcissistic liar. I’ve always maintained that he’s actually only a sock puppet for another nefarious
        individual, or individuals.

    • Walt

Obama will need to put the kid gloves on if he goes head-to-head in debates, especially with a junk-yard dog like Newt. Running for national office is a battle in which nice guys don’t win. As for the article, “How The Republicans Will Re-Elect Obama”, it is probably for the best anyway. Do we really want to go back to the Bush-type policies that ruined the U.S.A. and forced strategies like the stimulus? The latter may not have worked as well as expected, but it was advised by Nobel Prize-winning economists, and at least we have many more people working and a thriving car industry because of it. I think a lot of people don’t think Obama getting rid of bin Laden was such a big deal, but it was. We might have avoided a war if Bush had used Intelligence sources effectively like Obama has rather than resorting to military action. Allowing millions of Americans to have health insurance was the most Christian act any President has done in a century. It was inhumane to have otherwise. I work with many Europeans, and when Obama became President, the U.S.A. regained respect abroad, after being laughed at for years as it was with Bush II. It is easy to see how America would be a target for attack with the laughable, but tragic ineptness of Obama’s predecessor. The Bush damage will take many, many painful years to reverse, but that reversal cannot happen with another Republican regime. Quite the contrary. With Republicans at the helm and adamant against taxing the wealthy, the middle-class would end up paying the bills. Many programs would be slashed, and the consequence would be an unemployment rate well exceeding 20%. So, Republicans do your best to re-elect Obama!

      • Joe H.

        Walt,
I have friends in France, London and Germany. ALL of them to a person, consider Abummer a joke!! They all say he will just get the US mired in another war we don’t need, nor does the world! As far as the economy, hows that savings account doing for you? Like that .08% interest? He has done SQUAT!! He is anti-constitution, anti American, and anti WHITE! He would rather see illegal Mexicans get hired in any new jobs than see American citizens hired! don’t try to convince me it’s raining when, in actuality, you are pissing down my leg!!

      • Walt

The friends you have in Europe appear to be in the minority according to the latest poll taken late last year, possibly because they share your political views. The link below clearly shows that most Europeans have a high opinion of President Obama’s work, one that greatly supercedes the opinion of Bush II, which these numbers confirm were embarrassingly bad:
        http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2011/09/14/obama-still-highly-popular-in-europe-poll/

      • Joe H.

        Walt,
suggest you check out some of the British conservative sites like I did. you might find different. Do some searching.

      • APN

Walt, Who gives a CRAP what Europe thinks???? You checked out their “Progress” lately???

      • R Crain

I hate to burst your bubble, but Obomma won`t need kid gloves. Who ever wins against Obomma, will be as nice as they come. It will almost be sickening. The fix is in. The NEW WORLD ORDER is coming, there is no getting around that fact, and both parties want it. Newt, Rommney, both just another white Obomma. Better keep your powder dry.

    • Insurgent

The Kenyan (offensive word removed) is illegal and not qualified to run —- PERIOD!!!

      • eddie47d

What country did your forefathers come from Insurgent? I bet we could poke a little fun at you too.

    • Brian Schultz

How is your comment and comments like this helpful? wouldn’t it be much more helpful to America for you to tell the congressmen/ women to quit this ridiculousness and get something done in Washington for a change- Americans are starving, there are Americans who can no longer afford to heat their homes or pay 10 dollars for a gallon of milk for their kids, because big business is still driving up prices and NOT increasing wages…..

“politics is Dirty” yes I guess you are right but they shouldn’t be, except for the fact that people let it go on… and the media fuels it…..

I watched the state of the union with great interest…. Obama was actually saying what needed to be said and pointing out new policies and programs that would definitely Help the US and us… He even specifically stated that it is time to quit the Bipartisan Rhetoric and actually work for the people for a change….

I didn’t watch it on fox (thank god) but here it is….. as soon as the speech was over and we ent back to the media commentators did we hear ” wow this was a goos speech pointing out serious issues”?… Nope the first thing was dirty politics as usual…”You see the president getting ready for the next election…blah blah blah……. I’ll tell you what I saw I saw the president taking charge as he should and saying lets rebuild America…. lets bring our jobs back home that Republican Ronnie Rayguns gave away, lets fix our education system so we can once again be the great nation that we once were….

      I for one agree

      • R Crain

I`m really sorry fella, but your a MORON!!! Quit listening to the crap they are feeding you. Do some research, ask people in the know some hard questions. Google GERMANY 1938, and read the damn thing, then look around you. If that don`t wake you up, then you deserve everything that happens too you. Your GENE POOL is seriously flawed!!

      • Brian Schultz

Thanks R, for your comment, If me wanting the American government to get off its ass and work for its people makes me a moron… well I guess I must be… but at least I make intelligent points instead of just ridiculous attacks….Heres a thought, if all of you people that have nothing better to do than make personal attacks (against the rules )on this site…. why don’t you do somthing worthwhile and write your political leaders and tell them to quit politicking and get to work and actually do something for the people of this country.

    • Old Henry
    • Ronald Christopher

When they have nothing but liberal moderators, what does one expect? Time for a conservative moderator who is interested in the country and then we will see obama come crashing down.

    • jetstream

Agreed. A brokered convention is the answer, with too little time for the Obama machine to do massive damage. At that point, even a surprise candidate on the ticket might emerge. Meanwhile, the candidates should “vet” each other with a little more courtesy; you can disagree and point out differences without being cut-throat. We would be irresponsible to throw our hands up in the air and concede to the idiot in the Oval Office… there needs to be an effort to expose the lies he’s spewing in every stump speech.

    • James Cao

Alexa, I think you are confused about president Obama was not civilize with disagreement. If the picture worth a thousand words, then the picture of the President with the Governor at the tarmac, reflect the contrary. The Governor was the one who was uncivilized.

      • DaveH

Do you know what the context of that finger pointing was, James?

      • APN

Don’t get to deep with James now, Daveh.

    • gatkins

look at the environment around the president, you would be thin skinned to.

    • Paul

Sorry, Alexa. Obama was the ONLY civil person on that tarmac that day. it was Arizona’s facist Governor who was doing all the finger pointing….just in time for the release of her new book. Mmmmm.
