Poll: Economy Still Bush’s Fault
A new poll found that three years into the Barack Obama Presidency, a majority of Americans still believe President George W. Bush is to blame for economic problems in the United States.
In a Washington Post-ABC News poll, 54 percent of respondents said that Bush was more to blame and 29 percent put the blame on Obama; 9 percent said both men deserved blame while 6 percent said neither. Among registered voters, the numbers are similar; 54 percent blame Bush, and 30 percent blame Obama.
Independents were reportedly the most likely to say that economic troubles were more Bush’s fault than Obama’s, 57 to 25 percent.
