White House Suggests Keystone Pipeline Deadline Is Too Soon

The battle over the fate of the Keystone XL pipeline is fast approaching as the White House had signaled resistance to the new February 21 deadline that was set for approval of the project, Fox News reported.

According to the news outlet, the White House agreed to the new deadline as part of the recently passed payroll tax cut extension. However, as the date now approaches, the President Barack Obama Administration appears hesitant to make a decision.

“The State Department has been very clear that that does not allow for the kinds of reviews that are necessary,” White House spokesman Jay Carney said last week in regards to the deadline.

Fox News reported that the State Department has the final say in the approval process, due to the fact that it crosses international borders. The agency has been in review of the proposal for three years.

The Washington Post reported that the American Petroleum Institute, the largest oil lobby in the U.S., has launched an effort to urge the government to support the plan that would transport crude oil from Canada to the Gulf Coast.

Will someone dissolve the Department of Energy. It was formed in 1974, and their mission statement of making the U.S. Totally Energy Independent. A grand total of 37-years and still not done, government at it best. It’s a dismal failure. High school kids could have figured it out in 37-years. President Obama, your a disgrace to the American People. We need oil and we need jobs now! .

Thanks Obama, I won $50.00 from a bet on New Years! The bet was, I’ll bet you, that Obama will not go ahead with the Keystone Pipeline.

He is the new “Social-Demi-Communist” (Democrat) that wants our Nation to fail.

    Let’s look at his record:

    1) Has he done any thing good for the Country? NO
    2) Has been on more vacations days in his first 3-years than any other president.
    3) 3-years and still no Budget (can you run your checkbook this way.
    4) We now spend 4-Billion per day just paying the debt on the national Debt. (As CNSNews.com has reported, Obama has been increasing the national debt during his presidency by an average of $4.24 billion per day)
    5) Free Social Medicine (Who pays for it)
    6) Since being in Office he has spent 5-trillion dollars (That would have been enough to give every Tax paying American citizen over $500,000. Houses would have gotten paid off, AUTO Loans would have been off, and Credit Cards would have gotten paid off, and College Loans… We simply would not be in this mess.

Hey Obama, Can you get me my Food Stamps, Living Assistance Money, and of course I need a house to live in. Also, I need a new Car, my two are over 10-years old. What do you mean you can’t give it to me, Look and the Hundreds and Hundreds of millions of dollars, probably trillions of dollars when we get a real good look at the budget and see what all we give all those other Countries.
Bye the way, how much do we give Pakistan?
Your a Communist, plain and simple!

“The agency has been in review of the proposal for three years.”
Three years to review? The same three years that Obama has been in the White House. What a coincidence.
Oil that won’t need to take a ship ride, so minimal risk of an oil slick. Comes from Canada instead of the Middle East. Would create thousands of jobs.
What’s to review? Three years? It must take these guys a month to make minute rice. After a year trying to decide to make it.

Is someone still in the process of placing big bets in Las Vegas, or is there a point to the W H mental giants needing more time to ignore and put off OIL INDEPENDENCE? It’s a fair question, folks. I wonder if the W H geekoids can make time and try to answer it.
Usually, when something has already taken 3 years to ‘review’ something, it’s a bit obvious that an answer just isn’t very important to “some” people.
Oil independence IS important to our dear, glorious and fearless leaders, isn’t it? That’s a fair question, too.
