Republicans Form A Circular Firing Squad

January 16, 2012 by

Republicans Form A Circular Firing Squad

We may be witnessing the death of the Republican Party. If so, good riddance!

The party apparatus has lied to its faithful for years: The party of small government… the party of freedom… the party that supports the Constitution… the party of the 2nd Amendment… the party of free enterprise. The rhetoric has never matched the performance, but the faithful proles always held out hope that next time would be different. They held their collective noses and voted for the candidate the elites shoved down their throats.

Once again, the party elites have pre-determined the nominee. It’s Mitt Romney.

Romney has received endorsements from two of the party’s biggest losers: Senator John McCain and former Senator Bob Dole. With friends like those, no wonder the proles are looking elsewhere.

So the party has formed a circular firing squad.

Romney, a Massachusetts liberal, abortion supporter, TARP supporter, stimulus supporter, cap-and-trade supporter, believer in big government, war-loving, anti-gun crusader is the choice of the party’s insiders. But according to the Real Clear Politics polling average, almost three out of four of potential Republican voters want the nominee to be someone else.

Newt Gingrich, a draft-dodging Army brat, big government, cap-and-trade supporter, war-loving, anti-gun faux conservative is showing his true stripes. It’s unclear whether he’s really still trying to win the nomination or has just decided to go out slashing and burning everything and everyone in sight. Whatever, he’s taken up the leftist cause of class warfare, attacking Romney from the left over his tenure at Bain Capital and the fact that he’s “rich.” No wonder Gingrich hangs out with the likes of Nancy Pelosi and James Clyburn.

Iowa Republican elites used dirty tricks to prop up Rick Santorum, falsely portraying him as the conservative alternative to Romney. But Santorum’s another neocon, gun-grabbing, big-government faux conservative, and he has no chance to win the nomination. He isn’t even on the ballot in Virginia, and he has virtually no campaign apparatus to speak of after placing all his eggs in Iowa’s basket. He finished fifth in New Hampshire voting, squandering his Iowa bounce.

As they did Santorum in Iowa, the mainstream media tried to prop up Jon Huntsman in New Hampshire. But repeated news reports of a late surge (which gave Huntsman false momentum in the minds of voters) could net him only a third-place finish. Huntsman, who actually governed Utah fairly conservatively, is running to the left of everyone in the Republican field. That’s not terribly surprising since his campaign manager is John Weaver.

Weaver worked for the McCain campaign in 2000 and 2008 and is a former Democratic operative. But no matter, Huntsman is not a serious candidate, despite what the MSM wants you to believe. He won’t even be on the ballot in Virginia, Arizona and Illinois.

Rick Perry, whose campaign would be dead after two dismal showings if not for a big war chest accumulated just after he entered the race and before he began stepping on his own tongue, has also decided to attack Romney from the left. He’s begun calling Romney a “vulture capitalist.” That sounds like something out of President Barack Obama’s Marxist playbook. Perry, who’s an even bigger crony capitalist than Gingrich, apparently is convinced that the duty of business owners is not to turn a profit while providing a good or service, but to provide jobs for people — and campaign cash for him.

Republican voters have been duped. The elite, backed by their MSM propaganda arm, have convinced (conned?) them into believing that Romney’s nomination is inevitable and that he’s the “most electable” Republican in the field, despite the fact that only 322,786 votes have been cast in two small States.

Republican voters seem almost content to allow 122,547 voters (Romney’s total in the two States) to decide a winner in a country of more than 311 million people.

In national polls, three out of four voters say they would vote for someone else. In the upcoming South Carolina and Florida primaries, two of three are supporting another candidate. Nevertheless, an air of inevitability is settling on the race, thanks to an incessant drumbeat from the MSM that the nominee will be Romney.

There is a conservative alternative to Romney. But the elites in the GOP and in the MSM are doing all they can to defeat him with lies and innuendo. Just like they’re beating the drums for an attack on Iran, they’re preying on the sheeple’s fears and slandering Ron Paul.

During coverage of the New Hampshire primary vote count, Fox News talking head Britt Hume said Ron Paul is as likely to be elected as RuPaul. Neocon GOP propagandist extraordinaire Bill Kristol said on Fox News “Special Report w/ Bret Baier” Jan. 11 that he hopes all the candidates remain in the race, no matter how bad they perform, because he believes most of their supporters would go to Ron Paul. And Paul getting 40 percent or more of the vote would be bad for the party, he said.  Any mention of Ron Paul in the MSM is inevitably footnoted with, “Of course, he won’t get the nomination.”

Iran is close to making a nuclear weapon, we’re told, with no supporting evidence provided. That makes it a danger to the United States and to Israel. In fact, reports that Iran is close to having a nuclear weapon were debunked by Defense Secretary Leon Panetta, who admitted on CBS’s Face The Nation Jan. 8 that Iran was not trying to make a nuclear weapon (at approximately 1:20 in the video).

Paul is, likewise, a danger to the United States and Israel, we’re told, again with no supporting evidence. Yes, freedom and the Constitution are dangerous concepts to the elites because they want us indebted and in shackles rather than prosperous and free.

The fascists have been building their totalitarian state for 150 years now. It’s been a glacial, but inexorable march, because gradualism works best. They are near their goal, and Paul and the 2012 election is probably their last obstacle.

We are living in the last days of life as we have known it. Our currency has been debauched to nothing; our savings stolen right out from under our noses. Our houses have lost a third to a half their values… for those who still have them. Millions of people — 7.3 million were receiving unemployment checks as of Dec. 24 — are looking for jobs that no longer exist. Only food stamps, unemployment checks and welfare are holding off street riots that would make Arab Spring look like a park stroll.

America is not just economically bankrupt; it’s morally bankrupt. Government agencies now promote immoral behavior. The public’s minds are numbed by the cesspool that is prime time television and “art” foisted upon us by Hollywood, and they are caught up in euphoria over the successes of their favorite sports teams.

America has become as Rome. Pleasure, entertainment, empire and money-printing are our drugs.

Real learning is anathema to the people. Having been fed the garbage pushed on them in government (non)education indoctrination centers teaching loyalty to the state, they now wallow about, growing fat on processed foods and seeking health from profit-obsessed mainstream physicians and pharmaceutical companies — never realizing and, in most cases, not caring that the foods they eat and the drugs they take are sapping their brains and destroying their bodies. Their further education comes from the propaganda that passes as daily news from fools like Kristol, whose loyalty is to party and fascism and the new world order rather than the country and Constitution.

It is this mind-numbed ignorance that allows the Republican Party — the so-called party of conservatism — to promote a pack of status quo leftists as conservatives and get away with it. It is what allows the doublethink to thrive: War is peace; freedom is slavery; ignorance is strength. Add one more: Left is right.

There are some people who get it. It’s encouraging that it’s the younger set — the 40 and under crowd — that recognizes Paul as the statesman he is, and it’s sad that most people over 40 do not. Despite the derisive name-calling of the establishment — who call Paul’s supporters paulbots or paultards or whatever, and try and couch them as a bunch of pot-smoking fleabaggers and 60s throwbacks — a growing crowd is awakening and embracing the freedom of our forefathers. The elites recognize that if the younger crowd is embracing the message of liberty that the message will only grow stronger.

That’s what has the elites living in fear. That’s why the Republican Party is tearing itself apart.

The MSM continue to ask Paul if he will run as a third-party candidate if he fails to win the Republican nomination and are perplexed when he doesn’t answer the way they want. CNN’s Dana Bash recently asked Paul if he would encourage his supporters to back the eventual Republican nominee.

The questions are irrelevant and demonstrate the MSM do not understand Paul’s followers. They are an independent lot. They have come to recognize what most have not: that we are living under a growing tyranny and a vote for any other Republican candidate will give them four more years of either Obama black or Obama white — more likely the former.

And it won’t matter whether Paul mounts a third-party bid — and I doubt he will — if his efforts at securing the Republican nomination are thwarted. And it won’t matter whether he encourages his supporters to back the GOP nominee if it’s one of the current crop of statists.

Having once sniffed freedom and experienced the message of liberty, none but a few will ever again board the train to more tyranny. Besides, it’s looking more and more like the GOP is going the way of the Whig Party that spawned it.

Good article! It reflects so much of what I’ve been saying for months. I’ve voted in every election for 38 years. I will vote for Paul in the primary but I don’t think it will help. If Romney gets the nomination, I will not be able to vote this year. I believe that he is NO different than Obama. I cannot in good conscience vote for the man. I will not cave into pressure from the powers that be. I will not be fooled into thinking that he is the lesser of two evils. They are all evil. I am tired of not having a say, a choice. I am tired of the elite trying to make us think that we have choice, that we are supporting democracy. I’m afraid that our government has become so corrupt that there is nothing we can do to pull it back from the brink. Our representatives no longer represent us. They are bought and sold by the lobbyists who line their pockets with millions of dollars. I will no longer participate in this evil!

    • Lynne

Vote anyway if your state allows write-in votes. Write-in votes for Ron Paul count too, y’know!

    • DaveH

      Good for you, Nancy.

    • John

The unfortunate truth is that by the time we the people are presented a candidate, he/she without exception is already bought and paid for by special interests. In the big picture, our vote is only a token to give the illusion that the people make the decisions. This time though, the media has charged ahead and shown the masters hands in this election and thus many people can clearly see that the candidate is already picked. And it is NOT what you or I or any other citizen wants, it is what corporate America and special interest wants, the rest is just a dog and pony show for the masses.

    • Mark Are

      MY VERY SENTIMENTS!

  • bill

Yes,Bob Livingston has hit the nail on the head with this article. No comment
    necessary from me.

Most people are so innoculated by the MSM propaganda, they can no longer recognize the truth. For those of us who were blinded and woke up need to encourage others to do the same and we can only hope they listen objectively. Thanks Bob for another fine article and providing the truth to your readers. Ron Paul is the only candidate for 2012 or it’s curtains for all of us.

    • DaveH

I think this one book will lift the Propaganda Blinders for many (hopefully most) people:

Once people realize just how much we’ve all been Propagandized, then they will be freed to do further investigation into the Lies that have been foisted upon us by Big Government. Fool us once, shame on them. Fool us twice, shame on us.

  • dan

If we don’t convince Republicans to vote for the Constitution….
then all is lost.MSM’s candidate is Obama…need one say more?

  • James Maxwell

Bob as much as its pains me I have to agree with you. In the last
election the demos put up a Big Red Flag and the Republican party
failed to see it. When they immidately challenged John McCains
qualification to be presiden upon his citizenship requirement they
failed to recognize the end run. As a result out nation is in
turmoil and there is no cohesive candidates running on the Republican
side of the ticket. The GOP with it “Old School Professional
Politicans” are refusign to admit or search out new blood. Until
they learn that the youth of our nation is our strength we will be
on the backside of the power curve. The TEA party woke up the nation
and united many voters from all walke of life and the last election
proved that quite clearly. To save our nation we must remain true
to the patform and not the political correct popular people. We have
let special interst take precidence over the core values that attracted voters to our part in the first place.

Are we to assume that conservatives like me who support Romney should not have a voice? Who are the “elites” that support Romney. Where are these “mystery” supporters who want him. He has endorsements from political leaders but so do some of the other candidates. Romney will be a conservative. I don’t care if the mantra is “flipflopping”. I like Ron Paul’s ideas, but all polls point to a victory for Obama if he gets the nomination. Romney will get government spending under control and he will follow the “rule of law” and not govern using CZARS and unconstitutional rules. Look for the Democrats to go after his religion using “evangelical” surrogates to dis credit him.

    • DaveH

      Paul,
If you think Romney is a Conservative, you have not done your homework. Romney is an Establishment Republican, far away from being a Conservative. He’s much closer to being a Progressive.
Ron Paul cares for the people, and for the rule of law (the Constitution in particular, the main law of our land). Romney just cares for the Big Government Gang that he aspires to lead. Anybody who thinks that Romney will reverse Big Government Growth is very misled.

    • Mark Are

WHAT? Are you serious? How about Goldman Sachs to start with. There are lists of his big corporate supporters available.

  • http://deleted Claire

We have lost our freedom of choice. Yes, Romney is being shoved down out throats, and I am at a loss as to how to stop the insanity. It seems the powers that be are going to have their way regardless. I haven’t and I won’t give up, I will keep plugging away to preserve my freedom to say what I want, do what I want, and make my own choices. So sorry, this is off the subject and it may seem unimportant but it is a prime example of government taking over: My town government is wanting to divide the city into quadrants-they will pick and choose the garbage hauler for each quadrant. I want to KEEP my garbage hauler, Allied Waste is the best in town as far as I am concerned. So now I may not have a “choice.” The other haulers leave a mess on the sidewalk and they don’t care. Looks like I will have to attend city hall meetings again. I am fed up with government taking over and telling me what I have to do. The government is seeping into every aspect of my life and I resent it. I am pissed.

    • Pepper

Claire, Keep plugging away and incite the local natives to go to the meetings! We have to be involved at the local, county and state levels also to keep the wolves at bay. I personally know that “ONE” person can make difference, but it helps when you don’t have to go alone!

    • Mark Are

I’m 57 and I can think back on what choices we had taken away. We had no choice but to go to school when I was young. We had no choice of certain classes we had to take that have proven useless as I grew older. We had no choice about buying car insurance or not after a certain date. We have no choice about flouride being put in our drinking water. We have no choice about…well, I’m not going to give myself carpal tunnel syndrome. You get the drift. We are about as free as a parrot in a cage that is taught how to say “I’m free!”.

  • Alex Frazier

To add to this article, let me say that of all the candidates, Ron Paul is actually the person they want, even if they don’t realize it.

Milton Freidman is considered by many to be an economic genius. People want a Reaganesque president. Freidman was Reagan’s economic advisor. Freidman was an Austrian economist. Ron Paul is a student of Austrian economics. Ron Paul would be a Reaganesque president with the same mind towards reducing government.

The GOP wants jobs created. Mitt Romney knows how to open a business. But that’s not the same as creating the national environment for the entrepreneurs to do so. Presidents don’t open businesses. They create the economic atmosphere for others to do so. Ron Paul knows economics, and he knows what it’s going to take to get things working. Santorum thinks that cutting corporate taxes on manufacturing will do the trick. But it takes more than that. It takes appropriate cuts on both sides. We need more money in the hands of the businesses to expand and grow, creating employment, but that only covers the supply aspect. There needs to be a demand for the products created. That means we need more money in the hands of the consumers. Ron Paul wants to cut the IRS and eliminate income tax, as well as corporate tax, the death tax, and capital gains tax. Ron Paul also wants to lift many of the protectionist regulations that are stifling our trade and productivity.

A large number of the evangelicals are looking for a good Christian conservative. Huntsman, who is now out, and Romney, are both Mormons. If Gingrich is a Christian, he’s not a very good one with his history of adultery. And Santorum, although genuine, is Catholic, and doesn’t hold the exact same values as many mainstream Christians. Ron Paul is a declared born again Christian. He’s pro-life. He’s exactly what they claim they want. He’s a mainstream evangelical Christian, openly professed, with a history of Christian conservative values at home and abroad.

People say they want conservative. Ron Paul is the only candidate running that has followed the Constitution for the past thirty years. His unwillingness to compromise on that has earned him the nickname “Dr. NO.” He is the ONLY conservative running in this race. They others are all making excuses for the things they’ve done that are NOT conservative. Ron Paul is the only one who doesn’t have to apologize for betraying the American people.

The MSM is constantly talking about the Tea Party. This one is a Tea Party favorite, or that one is trying to get the Tea Party voters. Ron Paul and his message of conservative, small government, reduced spending, etc., was the impetus for the formation of the Tea Party in the first place. It was Ron Paul supporters that started it. So if the GOP wants someone the Tea Party can get behind, no one but Ron Paul makes sense. He’s the reason they formed, and his message hasn’t changed one bit.

On top of all that (and there are other issues still that go above and beyond), it is worth considering that most of the other candidates are now parroting Ron Paul’s campaign platform. There is talk about auditing the FED from some of them. There is talk about reigning in spending, which is derived from the Tea Party movement, which was derived from Paul. I’ve heard a number of candidates make statements where I said to the TV, “… brought to you by Ron Paul.”

In the end, it is a plain fact that Ron Paul is everything the GOP claims to be looking for in a candidate. As best as I can truly figure, the only reason to not like Paul is if you are a warmonger aching to go kill some muslims without provocation.

    • DaveH

      Alex,
Milton Friedman was NOT an Austrian Economist:
      http://mises.org/daily/5390

      • Alex Frazier

        I stand corrected.

I watched a five-hour video series by Friedman. His arguments are so similar to those of the Austrian school that I never knew the difference.

Interesting to know that Friedman thought they didn’t print enough money in the 30s. I’d have to read up on why he thought so.

        Thanks for the correction Dave.

Careful there, aubry, your antisemitism is showing just a little!!! first you make a statement that just as much as says your wife isn’t as good as you, and now this. do you have real short hair???

    • David

Thank you, Alex! With your permission, of course, I owuld like to repreint your post. I have invested many hours in discussion with others trying to enumerate Dr. Paul’s message succinctly. You have done a magnificent job of that very thing! RON PAUL -2012~ I cannot afford another 4 years of OBAMA!

      • Alex Frazier

David, do take note of Dave’s correction. Friedman was apparently not an Austrian economist, though he certainly did not promote the Keynesian model. His Chicago school of economics, however, is incredibly similar to the Austrian school, so much so that the article Dave linked to was written due to the confusion between the two schools caused by their close similarities. So the principle I gave still carries the same weight, though the statement was not entirely accurate. If you are going to reprint my post elsewhere, please make the appropriate modification.

  • Patrick Henry

I believe your article is quite exagerated? Any one of the Republican candidates will be much better than Obama. They will move this country in the opposite direction, and if we vote out more Liberals in Congress and replace them with Conservatives, we can save this country from Socialism. Just who do you want for President?

    • Willy

Patrick are you talking about the kind of “socialism” that produced the phrase “The stock market loves the Democrats’? Ever heard that? William Beach: The economic impact of President Bush’s tax relief Plan.

They got the Bush plan they so greatly championed and the rest is history that the Republican Party would love to forget!

  • D. Fayette

Please explain the difference between an Authorization to use Military Force, and a Declaration of War. To me, the first allows the Commander-in-Chief to negotiate knowing there is backing from the Congress. A Declaration of War tell the Commander-in-Chief that military force MUST be used, reducing the CIC’s ability to negotiate. Your statement regarding undeclared war’s is a bit misleading. We call them war, and they look and feel like war, and have congressional approval.

While I’m very disappointed that Romney is the establishments choice, I’d personally take Santorum before Paul. He’s made too many statements that gives me impression that he’d be very weak in the Government’s primary rule of national security. It’s not what others of said of him, it’s what he has said.

    • DaveH

Military action, or any other such name, is just a euphemism for War. And the Constitution clearly defines the procedures for declaration of War. If the excuse for War is not clear cut, then likely the required number of Congressional votes could not be acquired. As it should be.
There is rarely a good reason for rushing into a War, which would commonly be the case if only one man (the President) is allowed to unilaterally take our soldiers into combat.
Ron Paul is the only candidate who would stop Unconstitutional usurpation of the War Powers.

    • Joe H.

      D. Fayette,
Where was the congressional approval for Libya or Africa??????? Congress was IGNORED!!!

  • Straight Shooter

Great article. Most comments are good too. I still see people who are swallowing the media’s misrepresentation of Ron Paul. When asked on Fox what would RP do if a situation arises in the Straits of Hormuz or anywhere in the world for that matter, RP responded, “Study the situation to see if it causes a threat to the USA. If it does, go to the congress for a declaration of war. Get in. Get the job done. Get out.” Why would anyone want a different approach to foreign policy than this constitutional response?

    • Stephen

It’s not a wonder why most educational professionals want to take Constitutional American History out of schools. It gets in the way of their political agendas. Our American Founders weighed and measured the recipe for America carefully. We lose the recipe and our dinner is a disaster. Too many cooks.

Yes Bob this article is the best and most accurate I have read so far. What a shame you are so correct about the events at hand. I feel like we are doomed and the greatest country that ever was is nothing more than a fleeting memory. good article. I will vote for either Obama or Ron Paul. The GOP candidates are deceitful clowns. Obama hasn’t done bad considering he inherited the Bush Chenney mess. And like Gingrich, another sexual wierdo, Bush was also a draft dodger with a powerful dad to cover up the tracks. I didn’t vote for Obama. But I’ll take him anyday over Gingrich et al. Your article is correct: they aren’t conservative. Neo cons are not conservative. If all these GOP guys are really just liberals in sheeps clothing, why not just vote Obama in again? As for someone controlling American politics from outside, it’s Israel. But with the Arab population in Israel proper, not West Bank or Gaza, growing rapidly, it won’t be too many years before Israel will have to stop its own form of terrorism. Israel is not a friend to the USA. I know; I’ve lived and worked there. Many religious Jews there and others are against the Zionist state. Don’t take my word for it; go there and see for yourself. I love seeing the GOP act like the clowns they are. Mazel Tov.

      john desmond,
you DO know bush was a pilot in the national guard, don’t you??? funny way of dodging the draft!!! Now you want a good example of dodging the draft, just look at Clinton!!!! Bubba went to Oxford to dodge the draft AND demonstrated against the United States on foreign soil!!! BTW, I don’t like EITHER of them!!!

  • Stephen

I know it’s frustrating, but still, Obama must go. If Paul goes third party, which I am hoping he doesn’t have to, I’m afraid that it will be four more years of King Obamir’s reign to enslave Americans. Face it, it’s not the problems of just the Republican Party. The problems of America lie within the Progressive Party of both the Democrats and Republicans. They all need to go so we can get OUR America back on track. All Americans need to be properly educated and VOTE correctly. Do not listen to the talking heads in the media. Educate yourself to the facts and get it right.

    • Robert Smith

From Stephen: “They all need to go so we can get OUR America back on track.”

America where folks are dying because they can’t afford health insurance?

America where those who are in love can’t participate in the CIVIL contract of marriage because they aren’t the “right” sex?

America the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer?

America where we have the highest population (by %) of our population in jail for stupid things like not accepting the christian recreational drug of choice (alcohol) and wanting an alternative?

      That isn’t MY America.

In my America everyone is taken care of and small personal choices are left to the individual’s free will. IOW, and America of FREEDOM for its citizens.

      Rob

      • Angel Wannabe

        RS,
: Ya want top of the line Health care, then work and pay for it yourself!
: Ya wanna be in a relationship with someone of the same sex, go right ahead, nobody HAS to make it legal!
: Ya want more money, get another job or become an Entrepreneur!
: and last but not least “Alcohol, a Christian Drug of Choice”, REALLY???__ Where did this stupid line come from, whack job?

      • Stephen

Angel, thank you. RS’s “In my America everyone is taken care of” is currently one of the biggest problems in America today. It seems they’re entitled to not have to work hard for anything and everything. Get real and get to work!

      • Joe H.

        Stephen,
yup, in robbies world where welfare is king and robbie is in the line!!! See, robbie doesn’t want to lose his monthly stipend so he doesn’t have to work!!!! He’s allergic! To work, that is!!! Definately NOT to picking your pocket for what ever he can get for free!!! he makes big noise for his “Fellow” Americans when in FACT it is HE and he alone that he is worried about!!!

      • Jim

Right on track there; Our Founding Documents (Declaration of Independance & Constitution) only states that we possess the Right to PURSUE happiness…As Benjamin Franklin has said, it’s up to us to catch it.

Each of the Natural Rights bestowed upon us by the Creator carries an equal RESPONSIBILITY to defend it & exercise it…The primary responsibility involved with our Rights is to NOT violate the Equal Rights possessed by someone else while you exercise your own. While you have the Right to Pursue your own happiness, it does NOT give you the Right to prevent others in their pursuit. If you work to “earn your source of living,” does that give anyone else any Right to take from you & give it to someone who does NOT exercise their own Right to earn their Source of Living, or to keep the “fruits” of that theft for your own pursuit of happiness?

Where the government & too many “special interest organizations” have been going wrong is that they seek to bestow extra privledges upon certain groups of people, at the expense of violating the Rights of others…None of the government’s Enumerated Powers give any authorization take our earnings & give them to people who don’t earn anything. Success takes effort, not theft.

      • DaveH

Robert wants to turn our country into another Zimbabwe, or Cuba, or North Korea, with his sweet-sounding compassion for the destitute. But what Robert just doesn’t seem to get is that his path is not only IMMORAL (taking money from others is not Compassion, Robert, it is THEFT), BUT it DOESN’T work!
The growth of Government is inversely proportional to the growth of a country’s economy.
That has been proven throughout history. The larger Government gets, the smaller their country’s economy gets. And it’s so logically simple to understand why. Where do their dollars come from? From us, from the private sector, and protected as Government people are from the repercussions of bad decisions, why would anybody expect them to be as productive with that money as the Private Sector would be?
But forget Logic, just look at actual experience from countries who have followed the Siren Song of Big Government advocates:
        http://heritage.org/index/ranking

Can you believe that our once Free Country is now ranked lower than Chile? Thanks to well-intentioned but ignorant and immoral people like Robert.

      • Angel Wannabe

DaveH, Franklin, said it best, “its a Republic if you can keep it!”

If People like Robert & the rest of his pukes want Socialism, let em ride the hell outta dodge at sunset. I’m tired of they’re Anti-Americanism! I’m tired of they’re tried and FAILED push of they’re Ideology of it._The only thing I have to give them credit for is THEY DO TRY!__But the LIBS have FAILED, THEY’VE FAILED THE AMERICAN PEOPLE AND THE US!__I must ask Robert, Do You Hear Laughter Pharoah?

      • Robert Smith

Posted: “Can you believe that our once Free Country is now ranked lower than Chile?”

And our health care is almost the same level as Cuba.

Unless you are one of the 1%.

        Rob

      • Joe H.

Yeah, sure robbie, that’s why we have people comming here from Canada to get treatment! I don’t mean rich people, either!!! Canada has your kinda health care, robbie and it is so costly they are already talking of going BACK to a private insurer plan!! England has your type of crap robbie and they ALREADY have some going back to a health insurer as it is definately CHEAPER!!! But then Robbie doesn’t worry about people that are 70 years old being termed “not enough productive years of life left” to agressively treat them!!!

      • DaveH

You and your creepy fellow Liberals made it that way, Robert. Before Big Government got their tentacles firmly entwined in the Medical Field, prices were very reasonable.

      • aubreyfarmer

And don’t you just love it when liberals use splinter issues like gay marriage and abortion to try and separate people from their common sense. With issues like those mentioned an old tried and true tactic implemented to divide and conquer. Instead of people focusing on the larger issue of liberty, ending the unjust wars, corporate campaign contributions, CIA drug running, political assassination of American citizens, indefinite detention and the out of control spending, the sheep are herded into a pen and told what to think.

      • Karolyn

It certainly isn’t just liberals who bring up abortion and gay marriage. The republican candidates use those issues all the time.

  • Dawn Bruce

I am removing myself from email list because of all ignorance I see in the articles etc…Why don’t you just help the DNC more….I am not a Republican Elite, and people vote in the primaries, you claim the “Party Elite” are picking our nominee, well you are trying to dictate whom we should vote for…

    • Rick

I totally agree with your assessment Dawn. I fear there’s many on this thread that are so enamoured with an ideology or particular candidate that they can’t see that essentially they’ll ultimately be tacitly giving away the election to Obama.

If Obama is re-elected as a lame duck President, the damage will be irreparable. WAKE UP PEOPLE…..ANYBODY BUT OBAMA!! I’d vote for my dog before I’d vote for OBAMA!!!

      • DaveH

So you’ll vote for a candidate who will build Government larger, more imperceptibly than Obama? At least Obama through his bumbling impatience has unintentionally awakened many American Citizens to the concepts of Freedom.
The Republican Leaders would have done it much more wisely. They would have patiently built Government ever larger until there came a time when, even though much smaller in numbers, the Leaders and their paid assassins could easily overwhelm any Freedom seekers with their high-technology weapons that we the slaves have built for them.
Some of us have been blindered by the Propaganda for many years. Some of us still are.

      • Sirian

        I agree Dave,

I’ve been wondering why the Tea Party movement hasn’t thrown its full support behind Ron Paul. Why is the movement divided? Seems a no-brainer to me … :/

    • lostinparadise

I wrote an email to the T-Party, and was told that Paul would not attend any of their events, so that is why they would not.

    • Capitalist at Birth

There are many reasons. One he would be 79 years old when he would be sworn in as President. He is too old. He has an unrealistic foreign policy, in many minds. He would not win the general election for those reasons. He can never win the Republican nomination. Although I plan to vote for him in the Missouri Primary, it is only because Newt will not be on the ballot. Fortunately, the Missouri Primary is just a beauty contest. The real action is in the caucus process.

      • DaveH

Crony Capitalist at Birth says — “He would be 79 years old when he would be sworn in as President. He is too old”.
It’s a pity that we can no longer learn from our wise elders. Ron Paul is one of the few Politicians who isn’t there just to feather his own nest. He is one of the few who really understands economics. He is one of the few who has consistently voted Constitutionally. The fact that he can out-debate any of his younger opponents, at his old age, doesn’t speak very well for the other candidates.
It seems odd to me that a guy who calls himself “Capitalist” would spend so much time disparaging the only Presidential Candidate who truly believes in Free Markets.
It seems odd to me that a guy who calls himself “Capitalist” would rather support candidates who want to bully other countries into submission, than to support a candidate who wants to trade Freely and Peacefully with other countries.

      • http://teamlaw.org Jazzabelle

And didn’t Ron Paul challenge all the other candidates to a triathlon or something?

Last I heard, not one had taken him up on it….

        C.A.B:

Dave H is at times an arrogant, dogmatic, rigid, one-track-minded big mouth. But his posting here is completely accurate and he has you pegged to a tee. I’ve listened to your yapping about Dr. Ron Paul for so long now that you sound like a broken record — your arguments are completely specious. This is most unfortunate, as you seem to have an understanding & appreciation of what Laissez-faire capitalism is. Too bad.

I must add that you are also guilty of intellectual dishonesty, like most detractors of Ron Paul. So just what part of the status quo are you trying to protect?

      • DaveH

        Stephan,
Do you think your personal attacks mean anything to the people on this board? We’re looking for truth and Freedom here, not adolescent manipulative techniques such as yours.

    • Robert Smith

Lynne asks: “I’ve been wondering why the Tea Party movement hasn’t thrown its full support behind Ron Paul.”

Because the Tea Party “movement” is a contrived effort encouraged by the media to support the status quo for the top 1%.

Remember, the “media” is made up of very large corporations. There ain’t no such thing as “liberal” media. Those who strey are hit with so many regulations they are beaten into submission.

      Rob

      • DaveH

        Robert,
Do you really think there is Honor among Thieves?
Liberals, whether the Leaders or the Followers, have a problem with morality. They want to take other peoples’ money, and it’s all downhill from there.
Of course the Liberal Media aren’t really moral. They are just doing what the rest of you Liberals want to do — Helping Themselves. And that means supporting the Candidates who will say whatever it takes to lure the Unprincipled Liberal voters (those who think they want Big Government) to their sides. In the end, the Liberal Leaders (including Media) could care less about the Liberal Followers. They are just throwing enough table scraps your way to get your Unprincipled Votes. As you deserve.

      • Sirian

        RS,
Just where in hell did you come up with one of the most mentally twisted spins I’ve ever seen? “Because the Tea Party “movement” is a contrived effort encouraged by the media to support the status quo for the top 1%”. No one is excluded from participation in the Tea Party Movement. Everyone is welcomed to join in seeking to achieve the Tea Party Movement goals, which are as follows:
        1. Eliminate Excessive Taxes
        2. Eliminate the National Debt
        3. Eliminate Deficit Spending
        4. Protect Free Markets
        5. Abide by the Constitution of the United States

Ron Paul’s domestic policies are as practical and excellent as his foreign policy is impractical and bad. My son is in the Army with 3 Middleeast deployments, so I have every desire to believe Ron Paul, but I do not. There is sufficient evidence (40 years at least) that radical Muslims hate us and want to destroy us. Burying our heads in the sand, in isolationism, as Ron Paul suggests, will not succeed. Isolationism will not work any better than Obam’s “talking to them” strategy worked.

They hate us. They want to kill us, and will stop at nothing to do so. It’s time to stop drinking the cool aid and stop them.

    • Lynne

Ron Paul is not an isolationist. Ron Paul is a non-interventionist. Why do the people of the world hate us so much in the first place? Because we’re bullies. Because we’ve stuck our noses into places they don’t belong. Ron Paul quotes Thomas Jefferson … “free and friendly trade with all, entangling alliances with none.” Butting into other people’s business tends only to piss them off.

      • Ted Crawford

The difference between Ron Pauls non-interventionism and isolationism is the exact difference between dead and deceased, the spelling!

      • DaveH

        Isolationist:
A policy of National abstention from alliances and other international political and economic relations.

        Interventionism:
Governmental interference in political affairs of another country.

        From George Washington:
        http://www.dailypaul.com/41039/george-washingtons-farewell-speech-against-entangling-alliances

      • Wyatt

Not an isolationist ? A non-interventionist ? You are merely playing semantics . The world does not permit countries such action in these modern times . Modern technology has shrunk the world so that events happening on the far side affect us all in short order . Business has dealings of some sort with practically every country in the world .
And if you look at the stress and demands of the office of President ,I have serious doubts that Ron Paul would survive his elected term leaving us at some point with a vice-president in charge that would have been chosen by Ron Paul . Usually some one who would not be a viable threat to the president and was only a substitute for official state visits in third world countries . One has only to look at what we have been stuck with , or what we might have benn stuck with . Lyndon Johnson ? Joe Biden ?
None of those on the playing board is an ideal option , and I will back the party choice . However in my view Ron Paul is the worst choice of all. He is unrealistic in his world views and be the source of more problems than we have in the world now . This alone overshadows whatever good his domestic agenda might do for America

      • the unfortunate truth

If you believe the republicans are any different with the exception of ron paul than the democrats . Than you are gullible . They say different things reps and dems but act the same . They won’t repeal obama care and if they do they will bring a watered down version of obama care . They won’t lower taxes , and if they do it will be so small it won’t make a difference in your life. For supply side economics to work ,you have to have real budget cuts and real tax cuts . Paul is the only that is serious about it . If you think these other republicans will change energy policy , you are gullible , no offense . Ron paul is the only one that is true to republican values and conserving the republic . We have made strides in some ways in this country but we have abandoned the principles that made this country a great free nation and break the shackles of the european ways . We have let people move this country to the ways of europe the last 100 years and look where it has gotten us. Time to get back to values and value .
        Ron paul 2012

      • Joe H.

        Wyatt,
do you own a dictionary?? I suggest you USE it for something besides lifting you up at the dinner table! There is a very BIG difference between the two! an Isolationist is what Japan was before the US opened them up to trade. A non-interventionist is what Switzerland is NOW! They deal with the rest of the world, they purchase their products, they deal politically with them to a point and they don’t cross that point. they have ambassadors to other countries, but they do NOT meddle in other countries affairs. this has worked for them for the length of their exhistance as a country.

    • Realist

That being the case, We have a couple million living here in this country. Their hatred for us and our way of life may be the way we have treated them over the last decades. Telling a severn country how to rule, conduct business, and to get along with their neighbors is not a very good way of maintaining friends. Some nations do not want our way of life and you just cannot civilize the masses who reject our way of life. We forced our way on lotsa folks in the middle east and small wonder they despise us. Would you want a whold bunch of arabs invading us and going house to house arresting and executing your friends with illegal torture? I think not.

      • Aniko

You Ron Paul supporters are such a lost cause that it is futile to even try to reason with you. You claim that 9/11 happened because we asked for it! That is treason against your own nation!

      • DaveH

        Aniko,
None of us know the Truth about 9/11, and we probably will not for at least 50 years. But the facts are that we’ve been meddling in middle-east affairs for over 50 years.
Just what do you expect? If your neighbor came over and pestered you, coerced you, and forced you to conduct your private affairs his way, would you think retaliation was wrong?

      • DaveH

Here, by the way, is the truth about the Pearl Harbor attack for anybody who wants to lift the Propaganda Blinders that we’ve all had installed during our lifetimes:
        http://mises.org/books/pearl_harbor_greaves.pdf

Leaders are liars. Anybody who just believes whatever they tell us, without investigation and some hard thinking, is very deluded.

The hell I don’t know the truth. Google “Able Danger” or “Sibel Edmonds” The attacks were facilitated by our own government so the “false flag” could be used as a pretext to liberty destroying legislation like NDAA. YouTube “911 Loose Change.” 10 years and there are still millions that don’t have a clue. Some of the very same people involved in the 93 World Trade Center bombing were involve in the 911 attack. Bin Laden was a CIA asset and under CIA care at Rawapendi military hospital receiving dialysis on the day of the attack. The Taliban and the CIA are also creations of the CIA. Ignorance if the best weapon the Zionists that control our government has. Google “The Hasbara Project”

      • Pepper

Treason is what is “IN” the NDAA and SOPA bill. TREASON is letting the Banks an Wall street rip off millions and not making them accountable for the damage. Ignorance is not knowing, stupidity is being ignorant by choice.

      • JeffH

Aniko, if you consider Ron Paul’s respect and adherence to the US Constitution as your definition of treason, then it is your definition of treason I shall support and vote for.

        Ron Paul 2012!

      • Joe H.

        Aniko,
Before you call someone a treasonist, I suggest you fight for this country for awhile. I love this country and I don’t want to see it destroyed by constant meddling in other countries internal affairs. they have done this for over a hundred years. While this may have been safe during the time of sailing ships and cannons being top weapons, it doesn’t work at all in a time of nuclear weapons that can vaporize a city in seconds!! If you are of Japanese decent as your name suggests, you above all, should know this!!

      • Robert Smith

From Realist: “Some nations do not want our way of life and you just cannot civilize the masses who reject our way of life. ”

Why is our way of life the only “civilized” way of life?

For example, the Romans had an excellent infrastructure with water, sewers, and other services for the people.

Were the dark ages that followed (led by religion) more “civilized?”

        Rob

      • DaveH

At least the Religious followers are trying (for the most part) to adhere to some kind of moral code. I can’t say the same for Liberals.

Dave, liberals also come from a weak and a feminine place… Think about it..

      • cawmun cents

What Mr/Ms.Smith fails to comrehend is that the”Dark Ages”werent called the dark ages because of religion.
They were called that name because those who thought like Mr./Ms.Smith,were running amok through Europe doing as they pleased.
Huns,Vandals,Vikings, were just the tip of the iceberg at that time.
They were known as the Dark Ages because of the affliction of paganism on the religious.
Just like a true liberal,Mr./Ms.Smith,has the order of things confused. They twist and turn things upside down in their abject deviancies, expecting the rest of us to be prone to their revisionist brainwashing techniques.
Thanks but no thanks, that would likely also make me prone to re-electing Omamba.Aint gonna happen.

Pagans were around long before christians. They had effective herbal remidies (that were detested by the church) for many things. They established hollidays for things like the winter solstice that were hijacked by the church (the church called it christmas).

        Rob

      • Joe H.

        Robbie,
you defy all logic!!! You curse all religeon and then in the same sentence praise a religeon!!! Paganism is considered a religeon of PLACE!!! you are so blinded by hate, you can’t even see your own nose with a mirror, dudette!!!

      • DaveH

Robert, I’m sure you know I’m Atheist, but I’d take Religious people over your kind any day of the week.

      • Jefferson Thomas

Relationship with God (Yaweh, Yeshua, the Infinite I AM) has been around long before the organized religions of Judaism and Christianity eg. Adam and Eve, Enoch, Job.

The pagan religions of the world have their roots in the religion of Nimrod in the area now known as Iraq before the kingdom of Babylon.

What you refer to as “Christianity” that was responsible for the dark ages (partially) was in fact a mixture of statism, christianity, and paganism that was used by Constantine to consolidate his power over the Roman empire with one religion. Like another empire of the modern age (can you guess its’ name?) Rome was spread to thin, was drowning in debt, and was morally and spiritually corrupt. This led to the fall of the Roman Empire.

    • Carlucci

Mo, if what you are saying about the middle east is really true, then why didn’t all of this “they hate our freedoms” and terrorism start up fifty years ago? Has it ever occurred to you that maybe these imperialistic invasions from the U.S. has started all the trouble between us and them? What would you do if a foreign army invaded your town and marched down the street firing weapons?

Sending our troops thousands of miles away to “protect our freedoms” over here is absurd. Read your history. That is the definition of cannon fodder. I would only feel that my freedoms were being protected if U.S. soldier boots on the ground were here on our turf protecting us from all of the illegals and unsavory characters who are allowed to come into America.

      Wake up.

You couldn’t be more wrong about RON PAUL, I am 80 and have followed what our Gov is doing almost all my life.Study the NEW WORLD ORDER,even the Bible talks about it,it is a conspiracy to take over the world and kill off many of us as they can,America is the last to go, it doesn’t make any difference whether you are Democrat or Republican, they are chosen by the EU and big bankers, that is why Ron Paul wants to get the Fed Reserve OUT. All these wars have been started by the “eletes” who payand play “both sides” of the war. Our boys are at war at the whim of the “big players” It’s a chess game to them, they don’t care about our boys or America. listen to the service men & women who see the truth,it is thier lives that are at stake.Who do you think killed Kennedy, after he said he wanted to get rid of the Fed Reserve.(thier search engine to steal our money)everyone running except Ron Paul are the same as Obama a “Puppet”for the “big Players”

If our true motive is to stop radical muslims, then why did we fund them and put them in control of Libya? I have the utmost respect for those who protect us, so let’s make sure they are not used as pawns by those who couldn’t care less about true American freedom.

    • Mark Are

Let me see…Do you believe the BIBLE? Well if you do, here is a good one for you…Jesus just tells everyone: (Luke 6:27-36)[27] “But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, [28] bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. [29] If someone strikes you on one cheek, turn to him the other also. If someone takes your cloak, do not stop him from taking your tunic. [30] Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back. [31] Do to others as you would have them do to you. [32] “If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even ‘sinners’ love those who love them. [33] And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even ‘sinners’ do that. [34] And if you lend to those from whom you expect repayment, what credit is that to you? Even ‘sinners’ lend to ‘sinners,’ expecting to be repaid in full. [35] But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. [36] Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful. And then a few sentences later says “But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.” -Luke 19:27…Hmmmm…sounds like either a major contradiction or possibly Christianity is a VERY VIOLENT religion that wants to kill Muslims. I think that it is a violent religion. Just look at what has been done in the name of it since it was “revealed”. ME? I’ll take Thomas Paine’s religion any day over ALL the worlds revealed religions…THE WORLD is my COUNTRY, MANKIND are my brothers and TO DO GOOD is my religion. Trash the rest.

context my friend, context. historical, personal, familial, business, governmental, world, universal, time, timeless eternal. perhaps you should review all you quoted and read in context, and when your finite mind has integrated the infinite, get back to me on your opinions of God and Christianity and I will consider your opinions.

      • Jefferson Thomas

can you explain what a parable is Mark?

      • Nadzieja Batki

You are full of Cr-p. Go study the Bible again.

      • eddie47d

Mark is right Christians have a different code of conduct if you really know the Bible. Those sinners(thieves) who steal from a Christians are evil but God says not to seek revenge. Those thieves will also lose things in life or have things stolen from them so they will get their dues…in due time.

      • Jefferson Thomas

what is the difference between revenge and justice? What is the role of government as in Romans 13:4?

When a nation loses it’s desire to do right, it dies. We are dying. People who don’t learn from history eventually self destruct. It’s not like we wern’t warned. When Israel wanted a king like other nations, what happened? Read it and weep.

If you’re talking about Ron Paul’s investments, it’s gold and gold stocks mainly. No tin foil. What is it you don’t like about the Constitution and Bill of Rights? Please explain as I would like to know.

      • Joe H.

        R. Paul or…,
Had a man invested 10,000 dollars in gold twenty years ago, he could possibly retire now!! Dang, that R. Paul is so backward in his investment strategy!!! To think he actually wants to MAKE MONEY on his investments!! How crude!!! SATIRE ENDS HERE!!

      • Mark Are

If you had “invested” 10,000 Federal Reserve Accounting Unit Devices (F.R.A.U.D.) for short, in 1964, you would have been able to “buy” (steal with worthless paper) 281.75 ounces of gold. Today you could cash it in for about 477,700 FRAUD’s. What else could you have that much “gain” in worthless paper with? IF we had a CONSTITUTIONAL money system, someone who had SAVED that 281 ounces could still buy the same thing today as in 1964. Cars would still be $3500, labor would still be $1.00 an hour for a bagger at a grocery store. Gasoline would still be .25 cents a gallon and your savings wouldn’t have gone POOOFFFF…

      • Mark in LA

Actually no you couldn’t gold was 850 in 1980 and spend the next 20 years going down. Even if you bould it at its low in 2001 it was 250 then, it is only 6.5 times higher.

      • Jefferson Thomas

        @ Mark Are,

Mark have you been reading the bible again?

Proverbs 16:11 A just weight and balance are the Lord’s: all the weights of the bag are his work.

        Dave H.
Obviosly, you don,t want America to be defended from our enemies across the world RonPaul’s plan to pull all our troops around the world home is ludicrous. They would have no jobs here. He should drop out and let electable candidates beat romney. He just wants publicity!

      • Mark in LA

If there are no jobs for them better they are in the US working for the Army Corp of Engineers building dykes and repairing bridges rather than in a foreign country sending our money out.

      • JeffH

        Bruce, you make no “cents”!

        Ron Paul 2012!

      • Mark Are

Yes, you are so correct. We need to blow up bridges in Iraq and then rebuild them to keep the soldiers working. Instead of just rebuilding the ones here that are falling down. Duh?

      • DaveH

They get paid, Bruce, whether they’re here or there. At least here they wouldn’t be helping to increase the number of enemies who want to attack our country.

    • Pepper

No, I guess we should just all slobber over who ever the media tells us to because they have an “R” next to their name. Never mind that Mitt, Newt, Sant all support the same things that Obama supports, Carbon taxes,Romney care, big gov., more wars,…on and on. Just change on cheap suit for another. It’s not okay if the “D”s do it, but It’s okay if the “R”s do it??? It’s okay if they support the NDAA bill as long as “your” team is in office??

  • Barbara Clark

Personally I do not think the Republican Party is tearing itself apart.
It’s the conservatives like you who are tearing it apart.
What Obama has done to our country (so far and still has time to do more damage) we need to speak out about it more and emphasize the things that he has done.
I am for Mitt Romney and you seem to be jumping to conclusions on what he will do if elected. How do you
    KNOW?????

    • Carlucci

Pull your head out, Barbara Clark. You cannot see the forest for the trees. It is people like you that have led us down the primrose path to destruction. Mitt Romney is nothing but a RINO, which is a democrat’s evil twin. WAKE UP – !!

I see it every day in the woman I am married to. She will do something stupid or careless and when confronted with the facts, the first thing out of her mouth is an excuse. Never willing to accept responsibility as the first response which would settle the matter and it would be over and done with. Instead, even knowing that what she has done was stupid or irresponsible, she tries to shift the blame by changing the subject or making up an excuse that has absolutely nothing to do with the matter at hand. It is a good thing that I take my wedding vows seriously because times like this I question why I ever married her. For better or worse.

      • Nadzieja Batki

Sorry guy, but the woman chooses the man who chooses her.

      • Stephan F.

Some good points there, Mr. Farmer. And I’m sure you’ll agree those apply as well to both sexes.

      • Joe H.

for you to vocalize about your wife in that manner serves to show just how unlucky a woman she is!!! Instead of trying to show her the errors of her ways politely, you, instead try to shame her. Way to go bubba!!!

We don’t always agree, but I would NEVER try to belittle her, I would try to build her up and by doing so, show her that she is my PARTNER in this crazy ride called life!! she has given me three beautiful children and over half of her life, why would I even think of belittling her??

    • Bruce D.

I like Romney also Barbara. I think he will make a good president. He will put fiscal sanity back in Washington. Also Iran should not have a nuke.

      • professor

Bruce, Ron Paul supporters will never like anyone but Ron Paul. It wouldn’t matter if the other candidate were perfect….

RP is his own worst enemy, because of some of the things he says and the way he explains his foreign policy…Perception is everything!

He needs someone to advise him how to talk to the voters. Most people don’t understand or agree with what they are hearing. What they are “hearing” may not be exactly what he is “saying.”

I am not in support of any candidate, but like that RP wants to get rid of the Federal Reserve Bank… I feel that is one of the things that has priority and none of the other candidates have mentioned the Fed..

      • Mark Are

Why should ANYONE have a nuke? Romney is a big government big spending 264 million dollar vulture. Why would you want him to eat off your bones?

    • dave

HOW DO YOU KNOW? Duh, look at his past performance, Mitwit! He has Romney(Ombney)care, as an example. He says he is against it but refuses to say he will repeal it. He says he will put out an executive order, which you would agree is what Hussien Obama does to skirt the constitution, to give all 50 states a waiver! A waiver does not REPEAL IT! It gives the state the option to decline it but the money is still alloted for the program. That is what Obumer gave to all the big comapanies, so they don’t have to impliment the regulations that they know would destory their business. Wake up you MITWIT! Romney is a PROGRESSIVE. He can’t or won’t call a spade a spade, or a socialist a socialist.

    • eddie47d

Bruce; Some of you put too much emphasis on Romney’s business experience when running the government is a whole lot different than running a corporation. America is not a corporation and some of you want to cannibalize it like Romney has done to his companies. Then you might really get an America that is unrecognizable. Were a few benefit and you’re left with many losers. One thing for sure you will have continual wars in the Middle East as if the others haven’t been costly enough.

      • professor

Eddie, if America were run like a corporation (and some think that it is already) we would have to have a balanced budget with a profit incentive, and we wouldn’t be 16 Trillion dollars in debt. Billions of dollars wouldn’t be thrown away on project that were sure to fail, and investors would make sure they knew everything about the new CEO!

      • eddie47d

Not necessarily for they ate totally different animals. It could work in some departments and be a total failure in others.

Barbara, Mitt Romney IS Obama. Comments like yours really make me wonder if all this Obama hatred really is about his skin color.

    • JeffH

Barbara says “I am for Mitt Romney and you seem to be jumping to conclusions on what he will do if elected. How do you
      KNOW?????”

I certainly wish more voters had “jumped to conclusions” with Barry, at least we might have had the lesser of two evils + the one bright spot for McCain…Sarah Palin. I’m not interested in the lesser evil now, evil is evil, whether GOP or Dem.

      Vote Ron Paul 2012!

    • Bruce D.

There is so much disinformation on this site it is ludicrous. Here is a little information about Romney’s past. Romney was born in Detroit, Michigan.[1] He was the youngest child of George W. Romney, who by 1948 had become an automobile executive, and Lenore Romney (née LaFount). His mother was a native of Logan, Utah, and his father had been born in a Mormon colony in Chihuahua, Mexico, to American parents.[2] Romney’s ancestry is predominantly English, as well as Scottish and German.[3]

You were listening to Geraldo Rivera, famous liberal, and you should know better than to believe him.

Mitt’s Grandparents were both born in Utah, moved to Mexico when young, with their parents, MARRIED in Mexico where Mitt’s Father (George) was born, then moved BACK to the US in 1912, when young George was just 5 years old. They never returned to live in Mexico after that time, and they never gave up their US Citizenship during their time in Mexico.

That’s the truth, no matter what “Geraldo” believes or says…

      • Tom W.

Did ya ever get the feeling that Geraldo’s shaving mirror has had more kisses blown at it than the British commoners?!

      • aubreyfarmer

When Rivera was trashing the “truther” movement he was getting a lot of face time on main stream media outlets. Now that he has softened his position his voice has fallen silent. Google “The Hasbara Project”

You are correct on the story, but conservatives are united in voting against Obama. They will lose most of the energy of the TEA Party, but we must work on getting a veto proof congress so stop the decline of America by any President.

    • http://comcast JimBob

You’re correct Greg. The goal is to get obama out of the White House. I don’t believe anyone will be tripping over ballot boxes to love Romney, but if he emerges as the candidate, we MUST vote for him. Ron Paul has as much chance as I do of getting the nomination. His son Rand would be an excellent choice. The Republican party deserves better choices than what we are being offered: Retreads, flat treads, same old. The McCains, Gingrichs, etc need to go away and let the party fix itself. Don’t forget, billary is looming large (no pun intended)and just waiting for a bite of the apple..

If McCain had told GOP leadership, to put a sock in it and ran his campaign his way and had been permitted to be the man that he really was, he’d won the election.

What choice would rank and file GOP be left with at the voting polls?

We are at a point where we MUST get Obama out of the White House with a “Republican”, be he Tea Party or not. One step and a time my fellow Americans, One step at a time. Once the GOP has picked their man then we MUST put up a solid front and get this person elected.

      • Mark in LA

What did Obama do that Bush before him didn’t? No difference as far as I can see. Why not send the Republican Party to an early grave and maybe next time it will represent us.

      • http://lamebrained-ideas.blogspot.com C.Davis

I see the useful ones have drunk deeply from the smiling pitcher. They are either blissfully unaware or willfully ignorant of the fact that”Big Defense” companies like GE control the speech of their idealogues through stock options and other means too complicated to go into here.I guess the same goes for their awareness that Romney’s “venture capital” company owns Clear Channel. Fellow Americans, THEY LIE TO YOU. I don’t know how to be any clearer for you. They are laying out a strategy for you that gave Obama the White House over “Bomb Bomb” McCain in ’08. You should know that “lining up” behind the candidate will not give you the victory. It may get you close, but Obama’s camp owns the voting machinery, the only way to beat him is with a landslide and you must face up to the fact that Romney is not going to inspire that landslide. A silver spoon war monger with a similar agenda will not sway the nescessary hordes of independents and irate democrats to jump ship from O, There are just too many negatives for too many people., not the least of which being that he is purportedly a Mormon.
You can see that Obama is drawing down in Iraq for just such a purpose as proving that he is not such a pospotus as everyone knows him to be, But it will be enough to overcome whomever the republican manipulators get the usefuls to dutifully line up behind, because most will give him as incumbent the benefit of the doubt, as occured in ’08.
The only exception to that scenario is Ron Paul. With GOPers lined up along with the vast majority of independents(60% of voters self identify as such)who are sick of the dead babies laid at their doorsteps, unemployment, foreclosure, etc., added to the Democrat protest vote(11% voted against O in New Hampshire, R.P. got 2322 write ins!) Now you add THOSE together you have a landslide. Otherwise a good case can be made for a Ron Paul third party candidacy in the interest of the representation of the people, rather than of the oligarchical media. Which might result in a three way tie,and it could be anybody’s ballgame, but would at least accomplish the demise of the bilateral two party dictatorial system we’ve labored under for too long, and which many principled republicans will not support any longer, since the malmanaged GOP will be pushing up daisies.

      • http://lamebrained-ideas.blogspot.com C.Davis

Oh, and as a P.S. you should know that Dr.Paul doesn’t get any of that GE or clear channel money to run his campaign. All his funding is from individual citizens and servicemen. Would it kill you to help bolster their investments in liberty for their offspring? Go on over to RonPaul2012 and donate 20 smackers. I’m surviving at roughly 1/2 the poverty level and I still give when my civic duty calls, Just as Ron did when the military called him, he could have gotten out of going but his country was asking…

This comment points to the real battle. I have voted Rep. my whole life. The last two times based on this “lesser of two evils” philosphy. No More, I’m done. I now believe this type of defeated attitude is the real problem. What diference does it make (except who enters the deadly cold waters first) what side of the boat you stand on if the ship is the Titanic? It is time for us faithful people to have some faith, and we may lose this particular battle in the process, but if more of us draw a line in the sand now, maybe next time others will be compelled to join us and the war could eventually be won.
Let us not forget this is ultimately a war between unseen principalties of good and evil, and it has become quite apparent that both the Democratic and Republican parties are in the contol of evil. If those of us in America who actually call ourselves Christian would actually put our vote in a true morally sound and Christian candidate, and our prayers to the ONE who rides the white horse; there is nothing we could not overcome.

      • http://lamebrained-ideas.blogspot.com C.Davis

Exactly right, Matthew Felton. I’d rather get screwed by four more years of Obama if it sent a strong message to the Republican Party: reform or die. The Obamination is good for one thing: waking people up. People are waking up all over the place. It’s the Republican Party that hasn’t woken up yet. (Ex-)Republicans like me can and will vote with our feet. I don’t want to see 4 more years of Obama, but I would accept it for the chance at reclaiming our country that would come afterward. People who insist on voting for the slightly-lesser of two evils are just letting the game go on longer. And the longer we let them play the game, the more irrevocably we will all be tied to tyrrany and slavery by the time people realize what has happened to them.

    • Brian

What you fail to understand is that it is the independents that will decide the election. And as has been stated, some of us wont vote for Romney simply he is who the Party annointed. Romney is somply the white half of Obama.

      • william

        Brian,
So I guess you would rather have 4 more years of Obama, who we already know DOES NOT support the constitution? I personally would rather vote Republican and take a chance something GOOD will come from it, than vote for someone I ALREADY KNOW doesn’t want the country to survive!!

      • http://teamlaw.org Jazzabelle

        william,

        ??

You haven’t figured out yet that the Republican Party doesn’t want the country to survive either?

      • Joe H.

        william,
Get off the R/D dynamo!!!! There is NO DIFFERENCE between the two!!! They are different sides of the SAME COIN!!! There is only ONE person that will run a different route and that is Dr. Ron Paul!!!!!!

      • Robert Smith

IMO Ron Paul isn’t a real MD when the health of the woman isn’t considered during a pregnancy.

An extremist is an extremist regardless of right or left.

The health of the woman and her baby are the only considerations from the point of view of the ob-gyn, which is what Ron Paul is (yes, an ob-gyn is an MD). Where is your evidence that that RP doesn’t consider the health of the woman during her pregnancy? Or are you just calling people names again?

        robbie,
Hey bubba, R. Paul believes in abortion only in the case of rape, incest and, Get this, if the pregnancy THREATENS the womans life!! Guess that blows your theory all to hell and gone!!!

  • Angel Wannabe

Good Article Bob!_ The push for Romney is so blatantly obvious its pathetic. He’s he Only Repub who holds and has been holding a steady percentage in the(so called) polls. (I don’t trust polls either, they can make them say whatever they want, just like our votes.)

*Like a Light Beer, Romney is Obama Light always said it, always will!
Incidently, Anyone BUT Obama isn’t going to cut it either!

Right/Left Paradigm has been and IS used to keep us divided, when it REALLY DOESN’T MATTER what side your on, they’re one and the same.

While the rest of the world supports the “United States Corporation”_-I’ll be hanging onto the Constitution, the rest is BS.

    • william

      Angel,
Are you SERIOUS when you say “Anyone BUT Obama isn’t gonna cut it?” That is exactly what we DON”T need, is 4 more years of someone who will trash the constitution the way “The anointed one” has! It’s time for America to wake up and realize, if we don’t take back the country from the liberal big government, we won’t have a country left! Any CONSERVATIVE candidate has a chance to beat Obama, and will be infinitely better for the country than Obama! But, it has to be a TRULY CONSERVATIVE candidate!

      • JeffH

william, Angel is right! There is only one true conservative…Ron Paul…check the history and the records of the candidates and you’ll see only one candidate dedicated to the US Constituion and the Bill of Rights.

        Vote Ron Paul 2012!

      • OB1

There is only one true conservative running for president. Also He has won both the California and the Texas straw polls:

        WHERE IS THIS HEADLINE?????

…..Ron Paul Receives Pivotal Endorsement of South Carolina State Senator Tom Davis
Palmetto State Tea Party favorite and GOP heavyweight goes all in for Ron Paul

One of Paul’s rivals for the Republican nomination, Rick Santorum, recently spoke on the weight a Davis endorsement carries…. “To get an endorsement from someone like Tom Davis is a BIG DEAL. It would speak volumes to folks and make them take notice and give us a look.”

COLUMBIA, S.C.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– 2012 Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul received today the key endorsement of tea party favorite and South Carolina political heavyweight, state Sen. Tom Davis (R-Beaufort).

The consequential endorsement took place at a press conference at 6:00 p.m. EST at the Palisades Conference Center, located in Myrtle Beach.

Sen. Davis is the most influential fiscal conservative in the South Carolina General Assembly and his endorsement virtually assures that fiscal conservatives in the “First in the South” primary state will take notice. His endorsement also is viewed as a political game-changer by many in South Carolina Republican Party circles.

        RON PAUL 2012.
Saving America, $1Trillion at a time!

      • Joe H.

        william,
What Angel means is the action of voting for just anyone other than Adumber isn’t going to get it done. We have to vote for a true constitutional conservative like Ron Paul!!!

      • Angel Wannabe

        JoeH, :) :) :)

      • Angel Wannabe

william I refer you Jeffh comment…

BTW william, anyone can run for office and add THE WORD “Conservative” behind their name and to their game plan, that’s an “anything to win strategy”..The reality of it is, It’s the candidates voting history if in office, they’re past character & moral history, and whether they actually “lived” and worked in the political realm they portray….RON PAUL DOES AND DID!

Smper Fi, Blue Devil, even though I’m a Navy vet. Everyone going into military service (& any other Office Under Public Trust) must take the same Oath to protect, defend & uphold the Constitution. Although I’m not in service anymore & the Oath is not legally obligatory now that I’m “out of service,” I still take it seriously as a Citizen of my State & a citizen of my Nation. The clause about “opposing all enemies, foreign or domestic” is truly coming to the forefront as an increasing number of We the People come to realize just what the difference is between “Nation” & “Government”; they are NOT the same thing. We also come to realize that America’s greatest enemies have already infiltrated us & it’s far past time to rid us of their criminality against the Constitution.

I’m all for PEACEFUL methods & will exhaust all such paths before resorting to violence, but the very nature of a criminal government bends towards eliminating all paths of lawful & peaceful recourse that oppose them…But one must also consider that last resort, the 2nd Amendment, for without it, we have no means to defend any other Rights.

      • BrotherPatriot

Excellent post, Jim & I/others stand with you in your approach.

I’m former Spec War and absolutely livid by what I have learned about the people who have been running the show now for so long. However, nothing will ever be done about it unless we start talking & spreading the truth. These people in positions of power have been slowly grinding our rights and the Constitution into the ground.

It’s time We the People begin to help educate our fellow brothers & sisters and then do whatever must be done to remove the criminals from our Government. We must reveal that they are all interconnected & following the same Agenda.

Beware the UN, Trilateral Commission & the Council on Foreign Relations. In short…the Bilderbergs & the rest of the Illuminati/Masonic deep level leaders.

They wish to bring about a one world government where they are the privelaged few & the masses (We the People)…are the cattle that feeds their every whim. Basically, a return to their Feudalistic Utopian Society.

God Bless all of us who are fighting the good fight.

“Now, I say to you today my friends, even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream. I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: – ‘We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal.”
Martin Luther King Jr., Speech at Civil Rights March on Washington, August 28, 1963

      • Void1972

        Tom
I agree that all men and women are “created equal”. But that just means we come onto this earth as a human being. Some of us are born healthy, some are less fortunate. Some are born into wealth, most are less fortunate.
The dream is not for us to be equal, but to excel in our own personal journey.
Equality, diversity and tolerance are just a battle cry of the communist. This is not how God intended the world to be.
If God wanted the world to be fair, he would have made us all in his image, all the same look, same color, same hair same social standing and so on.
Life is not fair but what you make of it.
Our journey or challenge is what makes us human. Our strengths or weaknesses are what make us his creation, and what we accomplish or fail to is what we make of ourselves.
I think we have a horrible battle coming to our gate very soon. This will be the final battle against the evil that man has created, the evil that has infested our government, media, schools, churches, and unfortunately, our children.
Evil is epidemic in our world and for many, the final days are upon us. As Bob said, Left is right. But it goes further. Good is bad and bad is good. Just turn on almost any station and watch the sickness in front of your face.
I have a dream that in our final days, we will come together as Americans, and help each other. We will not turn away those who are hungry, thirsty or wounded. We will take care of those who have faith and do the right thing, and fight against the evil ones with all of our strength and will. We will keep our faith and our love of God and America.
God bless America, and those who fight for her!!!!

I agree with you 100% that life is what you do with the GIFTS given to you, and I believe Dr. King would agree as well. But the fact is that if you go back to that point in time, blacks weren’t treated as equals. Dr. King didn’t want to have anything GIVEN to him, he simply wanted to be treated as an EQUAL and given a FAIR chance. And I also agree that we are fast approaching that day and it is our jobs as Christians to try our best to open the lost’s eyes to that fact!!!

Unfortuanately too many people are just plain unaware of what’s happening and don’t seem to care too much….they cannot conceive of NO FREEDOM…in my age group we just will be known as “units” who will not receive the medical care that’s due us because we are no longer valid citizens at this age. At this time people has observe, the candidates and Rommyis fake the father mexican and the grandfather too, untill now the american people found out,at least Rick Perry was honest from the beguining when he talk about the imigrant and the shot he aprove to prevent cancer in the girls,he was honest with the people, and we see now mitt romny lier to us,how we the people going to trust him,i believe on Rick Perry now i believe he can defit borrack obama and me and all my family will vote for him…God bless america

      • Mark Are

Vaccine he approved? More like insinuated that you had to have it or they would force you! And what about the girls who were maimed or died because of that vaccine. Perry was a tyrant.

      • moonbeam

You wont be able to vote for Perry because he won’t be in the race. Do you really think that FORCING young girls, too young for sex in the first place, to get an injection that is on record for KILLING some of them?

What’s in that Gardasil injection anyway? Do you know? Mercury, toxic to the brain and promotes alzheimers may be an ingredient. You do know that shot doesn’t protect against all strains of HPV? Here’s a little snippet from http://www.gardasil.com/

“GARDASIL may not fully protect everyone, nor will it protect against diseases caused by other HPV types or against diseases not caused by HPV. GARDASIL does not prevent all types of cervical cancer.”

Do you really want a president, who will by executive order, FORCE his will upon your family and this nation? We have that very situation happening now. How’s that working for you?

Moonbeam is concerned: “GARDASIL may not fully protect everyone,”

But it WILL protect enough that the HPV cycle or transfer will be seriously hindered thus making the world much safer even for those who don’t get the shot.

I find it sad that politics take a priority over preventing cancer.

This past summer we almost lost my 18 yr.old niece to cervical cancer that was caused from a mandatory “gardasil” when she was in foster care a age 15. People need to better informed about it before making someone take this shot. Praise the Lord she is now in remission.

      • Steve

The youth of today could learn alot from Tim Tebow. There once was a time that the republicans supported “abstitence” as the best birth control and STD preventive. Yet another virtue the party has abandoned. Now a simple shot will do the trick, because after all, they can “just say no to drugs”, but waiting until marriage, well that is ridiculous and unrealisteic. Ron Paul is the only hope for the republican party in every issue, domestic and foreign.

I would have voted for Rick Perry

      • texastwin827

Olinda, you are terribly wrong about Rick Perry.

First, let me explain..he says Texans could “opt out” of giving their girls the vaccine NOW…but that was NOT the way it was presented to Texans when he made the ruling…our legislature responded to irate citizens and overruled him on it. This so called “vaccine” has NEVER been tested on children, they can’t even tell you how long it “protects” and, contrary to popular belief, it only protects a person from a few of the various cancers, caused by HPV, NOT ALL OF THEM.

Then he made the mistake of thinking he was going to take thousands of acres (by eminent domain) from landowners, so they could build the TransTexas Corridor which would have allowed Mexican trucks to enter into Texas and go all the way to St Louis, without so much as a check of their cargo. Besides the objection to the taking of private lands, Texans were irate over the fact that this would allow goods to be imported into the US, coming in at Mexican ports, not US ports. At least two professions would have been impacted..US truckers and the workers in our ports, the 2nd largest, in the US, is right here in, in Texas (Port of Houston).

As for “creating” so many jobs..business, not Perry, does that. We are one of the few states that have no state income taxes, good weather year round and a large workforce (especially with all the new “snowbird” Texans).

Rick Perry is a RINO whose best job qualification is that he strongly believes in paying back for his cronies’ support.

The real problem today is that the American politician has absolutely NO INTEREST IN US WINNING A WAR! They only want to use them to get people’s attention off what they are doing in Washington. It is for politicial use only.

When Vietnam was going on, Meet the Press interviewed HH Humphrey. One asked him, “If Washington is so interested in peace as you say, why is it not trying to set up a meeting to discuss peace?”

Humphrey’s answer was, “We want to see if the enemy is really interested in peace by seeing if they will suggest such a meeting.”

Immediately one reporter asked, “Do you have any idea how many American soldiers are dying while you politicians are playing your games?”

Humphrey noted, “It really doesn’t matter how many dies as long as the politicians can get the credit for ending the war.”

Very true, culling of the military who didn’t finish HS, and while daddy or mommy are on welfare, it’s an adult form of abortion. that decreases the population pretty quick , not to mention using up old weapons and amo, to create new ones for future wars. From the article: “He’s begun calling Romney a “vulture capitalist.” That sounds like something out of President Barack Obama’s Marxist playbook. ”

Actually “vulture capitalist” is a fairly common term for those who use their money to loot rather than build companies they acquire.

And, it isn’t uncomon for those detracting from those on a pedistal to be correct. Remember, it was George Bush Sr. who called Reagan’s trickel down economics voodo economics”.

Turns out Bush was right. The middle class hasn’t seen squat from the 1% who have gathered more wealth than ever before and taken jobs and exported them.

        Rob

Let us be FAIR about this topic, o mean-spirited and hypocritical utopian. Your White House GOD has done SQUAT for the middle class since he ‘took over,’ r. He’s done a first-rate job of raping the middle class. He is a hypocrite’s hypocrite.
The ONLY reason why he enjoys any popularity AT ALL is because TREASONOUS media whores don’t have the stones to print REAL NEWS, let alone say the TRUTH.
YOU deserve the current W H GOD. AMERICA DOESN’T!

The ‘party of small government and freedom’??? Sure,if you exclude all the military buildup and exhorbitant, wasteful war spending, not mention the willingness to go to war at the drop of a hat that has been a major part of the Repub party for decades….all that despite the warning from one of our most famous WW2 generals and Repub presidents ,Eisenhower, about the military industrial complex and it’s ability to literally control our politics and economic system.

Freedom? From a party that wants to command women to do w/ their bodies what the ‘party’ demands? From a party that continues to imprison people for growing or using a weed that the puritanical party deems to be ‘evil’?

The only freedom that the Repub party stands for is the freedom of the very wealthy and mega corporations to maintain their elite status and position over the working class who really do struggle to stay alive and continue to provide the next generation of workers and soldiers needed to support the rich in their comfortable opulence.

        Dear jackie,

I’m not sure who/what you’re addressing. Please be more specific.

      • 45caliber

Bob: jackie means that you weren’t saying how wonderful Oblama is. That is disrespect to her and many like her.

      • denniso

Jazza…no, bob is decrying the deterioration of the Repub party because of their infighting and that they won’t be able to defeat Obama because of it. Bob and others believe the myth that the Repubs fundamentally stand for freedom, when all evidence points to the exact opposite, except for the ruling elites.

      • http://www.boblivingstonletter.com/ Bob Livingston

        Dear denniso,

      • WickedPickle

… And you bought Bush and will most likely buy the next failure.. The people who voted for Obama wanted change and they were promised this but alas (for whatever reason, he failed), that doesn’t make them fools for believing.. Now you would want us to believe YOU’RE candidate is all for change and promises to make America great again and you swallow it just like the one’s you call an idiot.. Can you not see that they’re out for themselves and the ONLY way to break that chain is to continue to vote for a man (or woman) that’s above these inequities.. Got anybody in mind? Be careful, one day you might be called an idiot. Don’t look at who others say will win, look at who YOU would want to win and if he/she wins and let’s you down then and only then will you realize that it’s the way today’s politics operate. Ron Paul just might be our only hope in a truly hopeless situation.

      • Tom W.

Dear Denniso, preventing the murder of an unborn child is not telling someone what they can and can’t do with their body. That is why I stand with the pro-life movement’s push to declare a fetus a child from the moment of conception.
        Jeremiah 1:5(KJV)
“Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.”
        Psalm 139:13(KJV)
“For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb.”

      • denniso

There is no fetus at the moment of conception, just a fertilized egg,so you want to declare a fertilized egg a person. You cite the bible,do you know the bible also condemns masturbation? Do you want to declare that illegal as well? A fertilized egg, zygote, fetus, all belong to the woman and her body,so now you people who loudly complain about state power and ‘liberty’ want the state to take over that aspect of a woman’s life and body, criminalizing what she may do w/ her body. That makes no sense. Having the state interfere into the most private aspect of a woman’s life is nothing short of Fascism and totalitarianism. It also doesn’t work…there have always been and will continue to be women who for whatever reason decide to end a pregnancy, despite the heavy hand of the sate.

The hypocritical Repub party shouts ‘freedom’,'liberty’,'small gov’t',’individual rights’, all the while they push for more Fascistic laws like this,as well as locking people up who choose to smoke a naturally ocurring weed…try being consistent and logical, and toss out your desire for Christian law just as the right campaigns against Sharia law.

I would start with General motors and the union thugs sitting on their asses collecting 40 dollar an pension benefits for building cars that do not work…. Next i would move on General Electric and give them a tax bill for all the business they have done with enemies of this nation …. Next I would do my level best to make mainstreet competitive with the Wallmarts of the world… Venture capitalists will enjoy a tax holiday while cutting the freeload out of the federal budget …. help when needed it is time working people stop paying for irresponsible procreation of generations of welfare families… and this would be just the beginning … this would be the era of the vulture capitalist … if your business is losing money you should not be in business the vultures will take care of that …

No matter which phony Republikrat; i.e., BHO or W”M”R, is elected in November there will be no meaningful change and the decline of the once great US socio-politico-econo-cultural system will continue unabated. It’s somewhat ironic, I think, in the way that the term “New World Order” has been bandied around so freely; especially considering that the Statist ideology that promotes slavery of the People & total loyalty to the power-hungry individuals & small groups (which, by definition, comprises a very small MINORITY of the total population) that enslaves us is the very SAME THING that has been saddled upon humanity since the very beginnings of human civilization. If anything at all, the so-called “New” World Order is nothing more than the same “Old” World Order expanding itself in size & scope; the only changes being made by the Old World Order is the use of advancing technologies to implement itself on a wider scale.

If anything, the True New World Order was the establishment of the foundling USA, the first nation in WORLD HISTORY to promote individual freedom for self-determinism as the Supreme Law of the Land. Of course, America was seen as a “threat” to the Old World Order & its totalinarianistic suppression of human social evolution…It’s a threat to the power-structures of the tyrants & dictators that have been carefully built up throughout our entire history. Why else would they have infiltrated the halls of our government & corrupted away from our Supreme Law? Why else would they support the social divisions between people & “class warfare” tactics that include labeling & marginalizing people away from each other? Why else would they start dividing us with references as ” Americans,” when we are all Americans (whether born or naturalized)? “Divide & Conquer,” after all, is a viable & time-tested tactic aganst an enemy & they DO see the People as they’re enemy.

The biggest threat to this misnammed “New” World Order is a true uniting of the People despite their lies & treachery, simply because they disillusion themselves from the real Truth under the Laws Of Nature; The People are the ULTIMATE SOURCE of all power in the world & they can’t maintain their control without the lies they speak. They use their lies in a delusory attempt to steal our Power from us while also denying the truth behind their thefts.

The US Founding Fathers gave us a taste of what true freedom & self-determanism are all about…It’s a concept that allows individuals to freely associate with others & determine how we want our world & society to be like in the long run; in short, the Founding Fathers gave us a chance in Social Evolution & a true One World Society. How can such a society be contrived by force? The use of force to mold society accomplishes nothing but to retard the GROWTH of society.

FF, our best chance for success is to try and get people to open their eyes. The signs and symbols are everywhere, when I look around now, I shake my head and wonder how I could have lived 35 years and been as blind as I was. Sometimes it’s hard to show somebody something that they DON’T want to see. They don’t want to believe it FF and I can’t blame them! But we can’t stop trying to show and to teach, It is our ONLY hope!
Keep your eyes on the skies bro, He loves ya and so do I!!!

      • OhahaChris

From my purely Community College Marketing 101 viewpoint, the Republican elites are throwing this election.
They have Ron Paul, who can blow away Obama’s class warfare tactics by simply pointing out to a debate audience how much free or reduced-priced medical care he’s given poor folks and then asking both lawyer Obamas how many pro-bono cases they’ve taken in their lifetimes.
That they support a bunch who are all so vulnerable to the “evil rich” rhetoric of Obama proves that they don’t want to win.

    • Tom W.

I agree Claire, Bob you outdid yourself today, there’s plenty of blame to go ALL around! None of us should be pointing fingers!!! We should all be pulling together and doing our very best to try and find a solution to ALL of our problems, both in this country and overseas as well. If we don’t I fear the Mayans just may be right, this could be the last year of life as we know it!!! What a different world it would be, if we could all just learn to live by this simple philosophy – “If it falls your lot to be a street sweeper, sweep streets like Michelangelo painted pictures, sweep streets like Beethoven composed music, sweep streets like Leontyne Price sings before the Metropolitan Opera. Sweep streets like Shakespeare wrote poetry. Sweep streets so well that all the hosts of Heaven and earth will have to pause and say: Here lived a great street sweeper who swept his job well. If you can’t be a pine at the top of the hill, be a shrub in the valley. But be the best little shrub on the side of the hill.”

And it is up to society to assure that the street sweeper is cared for as best they can to reward his best efforts.

We ALL need to do our best for each other.

        Rob

      • professor

Robert, why do we all need to take care of the “street sweeper?”

        Wrong, in my opinion!

People need to be self-sufficient and productive! This baloney about “we all need to care for each other” has resulted in 47% of the population living off the 52% that are still working…or want to work! It has resulted in the democrats keeping a “herd” of bought and paid for” voters that we taxpayers are made to support.

And, for another point, Robert, it is unconstitutional for the government to demand one segment of the population to support another segment! The government is actually enslaving some people to serve others. Participation is not optioinal! People don’t think before they repeat all these “feel good” statements…

        And, Bob Livingston great article…

      • Robert Smith

So professor, are you going to kill those who are unfortunate outright or let them die in the street?

        Rob

      • jackie

Well its very noticible that the professor has never served his country in any capacity because if he had, the selfiness In his attitude would not be as glowing as it is in his reply. my government instilled in me that since I had what it took to serve my country with 23 years of military service that our mission weather I choose to accept it or not was to help those who could not help them selves. That is why I flew airlift missions(moving US troops) to Missippi the night the roits took place because of the intergregation of the university of Missippi, flew airlift missions to aid in the blockade of Cuba, flew airlift missions in support of India in their war with China, Flew airlift missions over areas of North Vietnam (dropping flares) lighting up the skies night after night so our ground forces could complete their missions without the cover of darkness. The point I am making is that the selfishness you displayed in your reply would have made your participation impossible because of your beleif of every man for him self and god for us all. I am glad that your beleif is not the law of the land.

      • 45caliber

        professor:

You have your numbers backwards. It is the 52% who are living off the 47% workers.

But I agree with you. If the street sweeper wishes to find a better paying job, he can in this society. In the Communist society that Rob likes so much, he is simply appointed to that job and has no choice in the matter. So why should we want to pay him as much as others?

A doctor spends up to ten years learning his trade. An engineer spends at least four years and usually six doing the same thing. So why should a street cleaner make the same amount of salary?

      • professor

jackie….so, you served in the military and did “your job.” Not much of a reason to take a “holier than thou” attitude. Lots of people have done the same thing you did. BTW, you don’t have a clue about what I have or haven’t done..

Jackie, feel free to give everything you have to the lazy..that is your business. But, don’t you tell me what I should or shouldn’t do like the rest of the liberals. I think that it is too bad the lazy half of the population (the half that wants to live off your labor) didn’t join the military like you did.

Additionally, I would like to know what your military service has to do with justifying medicaid abuse by half our population.

      • eddie47d

Nobody anywhere said that the street sweeper should be getting more money only more respect for the job he is doing. That would cover any job category.

Well Jackie thank you for your service flying to help your fellow man to remain a top ditch digger. I served before you did and did so to preserve his freedom to work and improve himself.

I served in the USMC in Korea 1952 after which I went to school and became a surgeon and when that was taken away from me went to Law school to be able to continue working andnot asking tax payers or anyone else to share their hard earned money with me.

      • Robert Smith

How interesting that those from the extreme right talk about “family values” but deny that they are their brother’s keeper?

And, how can anyome claim to be pro-life and deny health care?

        Rob

      • professor

Robert, you are a liberal that wants nothing less than “redistribution of wealth” to those that don’t want to work but want to live off other people’s labor.. That is stealing..It is not “family values.”

“Family values” does not mean that the government can steal from those that work and give to those that won’t! Before the “great society” and its socialist agenda, “families” took care of their own. It should still be that way, it is called “responsibility.” (Some of these welfare kids don’t know anyone that has ever had a job!)

I am shocked that working Americans didn’t object when the government began to steal from them and give it to the “useless herd” (owned by the democrats). If it were up to me there would still be “food lines” giving out food staples. No money or credit cards would be involved and few people would qualify. It is unconstitutional to forcibly take from one group and give it to another group. That is not charity nor is it legal..and, it certainly cannot be labelled “family values.”

Charity needs to be run by churches or private organizations and participation should be voluntary. This is no place for government.

      • eddie47d

Then those corporates who take a bigger share of the pie but don’t work any harder than the next guy should be giving much more back. That 1% has learned to scam this country with great efficiency and makes out like the bandits they are.

      • professor

        Jo Ann,

All that liberal baloney is just that “baloney.” It is a “given” that any job worth doing should be done well. And, I have some “sticky gold stars” if somebody needs one to be able to feel good about themselves.

      • SMILEE

Sure the job should be done well but it should also be paid a living wage. Wages today are so low that many workers are eligible for food stamp, earned income credit, medicaid or similar health programs etc. if they do not get it for their employer, many get as much from welfare as they do in wages. That 47% no longer earn enough to pay taxes and if they got a living wage they would and would not be eligible for welfare programs, not that’s one good way to cut our government spending, GOP has no interest in cutting spending this way.

    • BSG

I disagree totally, you are using the democratic tactic of class warfare. How did this mysterious elite operate? Did they get something into the drinking water of NH, or are they paying off the press? Give some evidence beyond your accusations. Of course if your are a Ron Paul guy then the conspiracy theories always work. The reality, that most people think Paul is a little off, doesn’t sell so you have to come up with this cloak and dagger theory?

      • Deb Johnson

BGS…Why don’t you explain exactly what happens when the Federal Reserve increases the money supply? This is not something the mainstream media will explain to you. From what you wrote, I would guess that is where you get your information. Try reading a book about it: The Creature from Jekyll Island: http://www.amazon.com/Creature-Jekyll-Island-Federal-Reserve/dp/0912986212
Once you have read the book, you will have your proof of what Ron Paul is saying! There are other books about the Federal Reserve if you care to do some research.

      • Deb Johnson

Sorry, got your handle wrong. I mean BSG.

      • BSG

Money is the grease that keeps the economy running. The Fed’s role is to act as the bankers bank and by buying or selling securities it can increase or decrease the money supply, to some extent. It also has the power to increase or decrease the reserve limits of the banks thus increasing or decreasing the amount of money available for lending. Also the Fed operates as a business and can make a profit, however if it makes more than 4% the excess goes to the government to pay off the debt.
Personally I would rather have an institution motivated by the market determine how much money should be flushed into the economy than to have some politically motivated entity, like Congress, make those decisions.
I have read some books on the Fed. Just not the wing-nut titles you suggest.

      • http://www.boblivingstonletter.com/ Bob Livingston

        Dear BSG,

I believe I explained and sourced it quite well. Perhaps you should re-read it again, slower this time. And follow the imbedded hyperlinks.

        Best wishes,
        Bob

        BSG,
Yes they have put something in the water; it’s called flouride. Read up on the long term effects.

      • Robert Smith

I hear flouride creates extreme righ wing religious nuts.

        Rob

      • 45caliber

        It can’t – or you’d be one.

      • aubreyfarmer

Google “The Hasbara Project” and from that point forward in your life anything and everything you see on the JewTube will be suspect.

      • Jim

Of course “they” put something in the water, but not just in NH…They put it EVERYWHERE. Flourides in the water is a TOXIN when ingested! Any good dentist knows this, otherwise they wouldn’t tell you to spit out the flourides & rise thoroughly, instead they’d tell you to swallow it. So, when was your last flouride treatment, hmmm?

Floridated water is only the tip of the iceburg, implemented by who? Government agencies, of course. Our government has been enacting undeclared ACTS OF WAR upon We the People & tell us to “just accept it” when the net results on the public is degragation of individual intellect, increasingly poor health & debt-slavery to foreign-originated banking interests.

To many people need to remove the government kool-aid out of their diet…

    • Rick

Bob…Please don’t misunderstand. I believe that we’re on the same page with MOST points. BUT SERIOUSLY…..not everyone in the US, shares our view. We don’t live in a Utopian society. AND, I’m certain that even as often as we might agree, we likely don’t agree on everything….including our religous beliefs or our assessment of what is or isn’t conservative.

You make some strong statements about Romney, yet you don’t know the man or even make an attempt to determine whether he would make a good Commander in Chief.

Good journalism requires at least a degree of objectivity….and from what I can tell your objectivity is geared toward a particular ‘BRAND’ of religion and a far right agenda that reflects a portion of America, but definitely not ALL.

What’s best for America is someone who can Govern….We have a 3 legged Republic. When one of those legs leans too far one direction or the other…..we have chaos and EVERYTHING is on a tilt. We need to restore the balance of power….NOT RIGHT, NOT LEFT.

Some of what the candidates have professed is simply …NOT DOABLE!! Think about Herman Cain’s plan (9,9,9)….sounds simple and in some states in might work. BUT in many other states it would create a Tax increase!!! So how would you go about passing such a plan in Congress? Perry’s plan seems simple enough…..but in reality you’d end up having to figure your taxes twice and basically have two separate tax plans…EVEN IF, you could actually get Congress to pass it.

My beef here is your position to PUSH a particular Candidate or Agenda at the expense of throwing others under the bus. Let’s stop beating each other up and get behind a candidate that is capable of defeating the REAL enemy here. (OBAMA, REED, Pelosi)…otherwise your publication is nothing more than an ideological, Right Wing, propaganda machine that’s essentially no better than the Left.

Actualy the words of MLK mean a lot to those who want equality in America for all.

Why would anyone advocate hate and bigotry?

Ohhhh, I get it. You want a “me and them” so you can consolodate your little wing nut groups. It’s always easier to stand on another rather than climbing on one’s own. That is, until they rise up, and rise up they will.

        Rob

      • professor

Robert, apply this to the lazy half of the population that you want all of us to support….You were making a point with, “it is easier to climb on another rather than do it on your own.”

You are absolutely right. This is the way the “medicaid for generations” crowd sees it.

        Dear Rick,

You write: “from what I can tell your objectivity is geared toward a particular ‘BRAND’ of religion…” Where did I mention religion?

You write: “My beef here is your position to PUSH a particular Candidate or Agenda at the expense of throwing others under the bus. Let’s stop beating each other up and get behind a candidate that is capable of defeating the REAL enemy here. (OBAMA, REED, Pelosi)…otherwise your publication is nothing more than an ideological, Right Wing, propaganda machine that’s essentially no better than the Left.” The only agenda I push is an adherence to the U.S. Constitution. If I see a candidate who is a serial violator of the Constitution, or one who makes no mention of following the Constitution and in fact proposes policies that violate it, I will continue to point that out.

You must understand that I am no ideologue for any party nor am I trapped in the false left/right paradigm that consumes most political discourse.

        Best wishes,
        Bob

      • Lev Belinkov

        Bob Livingston!
        You are absaolutelly right!
All Republican party debates were looks like arguments of several housewifes on multyfamily kitchen! As far as I concern there are no real candidate who can beat Obama. Only one person who could really remove Obama from W.H.is DONALD TRUMP! Why? He is independat,He is reach enough and don’t need any donation,he is great administrator and
do not hesitate to say”You are fired”to anybody who don’t performed his job properly! But more important:He is really take care about our
country! And I don’t care how many times he was merryed, did he smoke or not… I think He is a man that America need today.
        Thanks, Lev

    • Leroy

You are stating that Romney is picked as our GOP Runner, Well i need to say if Mitt Romney is Truly to be the GOP choice, I Will NOT be voting for a Republican this time around!!

      • Rick

My point exactly…..the mantra of this website seems to be, ‘My way or No way.’ Let’s all just throw out the baby with the bath water!! Maybe we should have ALL of the candidates form their own Political Parties and then we could splinter ALL of the various Political factions into pieces so that the Republican party is meaningless!!!

So while your motto is divide and conquer, the Democrats are including all of the desparate groups into one very strong force to contend with.

This is exactly why the Democrats have been so successful…they cater to ALL of the minority factions in order to obtain the power and advance all of the liberal causes!!! (environmentalists, socialists, progressives, gays, lesbians, black, latino, etc. etc.)

        Goodnight.

    • Danny Buckles

Claire, Thanks for what? This JERK just totally trashed the Republican Party. And has tried to destroy any chance of defeating his hero Obama. while he pretends to be a Conservative. Are you and your husband that blind . To this Wolf in sheeps clothing. This is one of the Democrats snipers he took a crack shot at you. Newt Gingrich has been taking hits from Jerks like this for the last twenty years. Newt can and would defeat Obama and turn our Nation back to a prosperous Constitutional Republic.

Can you say “simple-minded cool-aid drinker.” YES! Good description.

Mark Are and Buddy–If you are referring to me as a kool-aid drinker, think again. I have every right to post my comments, same as anyone else.

      • Buddy

        Claire:

My comment was directed at that intellectually-confused-republican-drone Mr. Buckles. Your 1st remark was, imho, quite appropriate.

      • http://deleted Claire

Buddy: Thank you for your comment.

      • Mark Are

Not you Claire…watch the thread guides.

      • http://deleted Claire

        Mark Are– oops, my bad.

      • JeffH

Danny Buckles, Obama? Romney? Two sides of the same coin I’d say. We’re at a point in our history where we need to start recovering our Republic. Haven’t you been able to realize that Repulicans and Democrats want the same thing for you…to create a nanny state, grow Big government and keep you, I and every other citizen dependant on the government teet?

Ron Paul offers an alternative to this countries future…he’s a constitutionalist. He believes in freedom and liberty for all not just a select few. This upcoming election is about restoring America, not aiding and abetting it’s destruction.

Wise up and smell the coffee. Neither the GOP or the Dems are interested in preserving liberty and freedom for all.

        Vote Ron Paul 2012!

      • http://deleted Claire

Danny Buckles– I “THANKED” Bob Livingston for this article. I also agreed with what Tom W. posted farther above at 8:24 a.m. this morning. Like the Democrat party, the Republican party has trashed itself too, in many ways. Don’t attack me for my comments, rethink your own.

      • Joe H.

        danny B.,
He also has the morals of a skunk!! i have said it before and I will say it till the election is over. IF WE ELECT GINGRICH, WE WILL HAVE ELECTED THE MOST MORALLY BANKRUPT PRESIDENT THIS COUNTRY HAS EVER HAD!! RON PAUL/ANDREW NAPOLITANO 2012!!!!

I think it’s time for the Tea Party to be an organized political party with a running candidate. As with our government, the Republican party has slowly and methodically been indoctrinated through money, corruption and infiltration into socialistic ways. It’s almost as if the Democrats are calling the shots within the party. The last election made an intelligent and purposed John McCain with a backbone into rubber necked bobble head. Popular candidates in this election seem to have lost their minds along the way…. Really…what’s going on?

      • aubreyfarmer

Wikipedia “Neocon” and you will see that they are formerly of the left and switched to the right because the left was not militaristic and fascist enough to suit the purposes stated in “The Project for a New American Century.” Communism and fascism. • http://deleted Claire

Karolyn: They are beautiful. Wish everyone could see them. I would love to post the site where some of them appear. Naturally I have gobs and gobs of photos on my computer. libertytrain has seen pictures of them. My youngest is one year old now. Her brothers were the winners this past weekend. I don’t know when I can get out to show her, Bob is not doing well and I will not leave him just to go to a dog show. He comes first.

      • libertytrain

Claire, Karolyn – yes they are extremely beautiful.

Claire, would be wonderful if you could post the website and you dogs names for us to see…I know I’d sure enjoy them.
