Obama Compares Campaign To Revolution

January 11, 2012 by

Obama Compares Campaign To Revolution

This week, President Barack Obama said that donors to his Presidential campaign were like the modern-day equivalent of the colonists who fought the British for American independence during the Revolutionary War.

“It takes you, ordinary citizens committed to fighting and pushing, inching this country forward bit by bit so we get closer to our highest ideals,”  The Daily Caller reported Obama said in a campaign speech to 700 donors seated at white-linen tables in Washington’s Capital Hilton hotel. “That’s how this country was built. That’s how we freed ourselves from an empire.”

Obama reportedly did not stop with the Revolutionary comparison, but went on liken his aspirations to the accomplishments of those of the members of what is often referred to as the “greatest generation” and of the Civil Rights movement that followed.

Obama is nothing more than an idealistic narcissist, completely sold out to the idea of the Socialist Utopia layed out by Fredrick Engels and Karl Marx!

    • Buckner

That’s why more and more people are starting to say, “Oh Bummer” – he really is a load of crap!

  • http://google rose

Wow what a nut! How is it that we allow this crazy delusional nut case to continue to lead our country? Yes we “ordinary” people need to revolt before it is to late. If he wants revolution, I think he’ll get it, especially if he gets elected another term. Although if Romney gets it, I think we will still have one. Vote Ron Paul and stop the tyranny before it gets out of hand.

  • Bev

What do you expect from the narcissist in chief. He probably stares at himself lovingly in the mirror while saying soft and beautiful praises. What a tool!

  • Joseph R Carreiro Sr

If the President is correct in his assumption then he has to accept the fact that the British lost.Think about it.

  • mark111

Read “The Roots of Obama’s Rage” and you will find a theory for his plans for America that makes sense. He uses the race card to get ahead himself but really does not care about race. He kowtows to Muslims but not because he is a Muslim but because he thinks we have economically colonized Islamic countries. He wants to bleed America dry to destroy us as an economic and military powerhouse and return our “ill gotten gains” to those from whom we “stole” them.

    • Steve

I just finished reading this book myself. The authors model fits perfectly. Obama fancies himself the last of the anti colonialists. He sees America as a neocolonial power, and must be brought down. The man is totally predictable now.

  • warren

I’d like to slap him in the back of his neck with a kayak paddle so it made a really loud slap sound and stung like the bejesus.. that’s for starters.

  • Michelle

And people buy his crap. We are the patriots fighting to save what was an amazing country. He is so full of crap his eyes are brown.

    • Buckner

      Oh… Bummer… – yup, that’s him…

  • Tom SC

He has told the truth for once. It will take an armed revolt to rid this country of this corrupt, crooked administration. He wants to be Emporer and will not give up without a fight. Beware his private army and FEMA Gulags.

    • warren

The fema camps are the last place you want to be in ANY situation, keep enough food and water to feed your family for no less than 6 months, even if it’s just campbells soup….

  • FedUp

“Obama believes he is a revolutionary President.”

The caption got it right: he will cause the Second Revolution.

Not since the State’s Rights issue has the country been more divided. All the progress made by both parties, people of all colors and religions, has been lost.

And we still don’t admit the underlying cause because of the ramifications.

It’s not the issues that divide us as much as the essential philosophical differences. Not political philosophy, school of philosophy. When we talk openly about those differences we can begin to satisfy the demands of the two schools. The solution will require changes we will resist, but ultimately, adherents of both philosophies will get what they want. There will be no reason to place blame and accuse “the other side” of malfeasance.

Our commitment to the people of the Republic will continue to be tested until we acknowledge our basic differences or turn to violence. It is an unfortunate lesson taught by history that we regularly choose the latter as a solution.

well im fed up too of all the people who have their ideas based on their own feelings , the fact is that the only fact is that Jesus should be the one who sets the pace .love ,mercy forgiveness , long suffering patience and many other things the Holy Bible tells how to run a goverment and what will work and what will not.mans suupidity to think that he knows best is ludicrist at best .there is one god one people , one body god is for people caring about people , not people owning or destroying other people. he allows all people the freedom of choice right or wrong. but as every body knows ,choices have good and bad results. give hate u get hate ,give love u get love .sad part is that all do not want to hear that so ,controlling people will use any devise of the devil to get their own way.sad state of affairs.

Americans can talk about treason all they want…we have the freedom to do so. Somehow I feel a little differently when it comes to the President of the United States. If the Obamir wants to change everything that America was founded upon, shouldn’t his actions be considered treasonous to America? Are these impeachable offenses?

    • rb

Mr. Obama has commited numerous impeachable offenses and direct violations of the US Constitution while in office with impunity. To numerous to list here. That’s the point. He is thumbing his nose in the face of the very principals this country was founded on to see how much he can get away with. So far so good. With his accomplices in both the Republican and Democratic parties he has continued the revolution that seeks to bring about more or less the fascist dictatorship he desires. And yet the people continue to follow. Go figure. If we think Romney is an alternative…guess again. He is simply the pre-dertimined candidate chosen to carry on this revolution.

      • Stephen

If the Obamir was taking America in a positive direction to lead the world as it has been doing since its creation, it would be different. Instead he paints the picture that America has it too good and should be brought down to a level with other underdeveloped countries so they can compete with us “more fairly”. What does THAT mean?

America is a freedom-loving nation because it is strong. It is amazing how many people of the world want to come live here because of our freedoms. The best way for the US to lead the world is by example. Let’s do away with the Obamir and let’s get back on the right track and do so.

      • 45caliber

A Japanese businessman stated a couple of years ago that Americans were lazy. He gave an example. If he gave a Japanese worker a shovel and told him to dig a ditch, the Japanese worker would get right to work. If he did the same to an American, the American would refuse.

He was right. An American would go get a back hoe – or invent one. And the ditch would be dug faster and will a lot less “work”.

      • eddie47d

He said “Americans have it too good”? Is that a fact or an assumption? I don’t care if Obama gets re-elected but stick to facts not over blown hype. I could go back and lambast the previous administration but you all get so touchy about the other side of the truth. There was a poll on the news this morning that says all parents lie 51% at some time to their kids. I think lying has become acceptable from everyone to reach their goal.Replacing Obama won’t change the underbelly of dishonesty that plagues this nation. Some politicians are just smarter liars.

      • Stephen

        The Obamir is a pro.

  • PeoplePower

Just goes to show how delisional obama is. He is the british nwo oligarchy’s tool. The nwo oligarchy does not want american to be the strong independent, constitutional republic, constitutional government, with the control of the purse strings. That is why they had obama unconstitutionally positioned. obama is a traitor and represents everything we faught for in 1776 to gain our indedpence from the tyranical britain oligarchy. Sam, you should be slapped for even positing this tripe.

  • Bill

If not for the “Liberals” or revolutionarys, who fought the “conservatives, called the Tories, who were faithful to King George, America would still be under English rule. Thank a Liberal for your freedom.

    • FedUp

      Ah, a philosopher.

You are correct, but our penchant for playing “telephone” with labels will have you pilloried for your comment.

    • Houdini1984

That is true, but does not take into consideration the obvious fact that liberals and conservatives have switched roles over the course of the last several hundred years. In those days, the statists represented by the Tories and the King did indeed represent the status quo that the “conservatives” sought to defend. In like manner, the Founders had the at-that-time revolutionary and liberal view that economic and personal freedom were not gifts from government but rights endowed by our Creator.

Any reasonable person today would have to conclude that true conservatives today adhere to the Founders’ understanding of our rights, while today’s liberals are statists who seek more and more collective power at the expense of the individual. While I will gladly thank the liberals of two centuries ago for securing the freedoms I enjoy today, I will not thank today’s liberals who seem so eager to deprive me of my personal and economic freedom in the name of some nebulous “greater good”.

    • Average Joe

I believe the word you are looking for is Libertarian…and not liberal…two completely different concepts. In the meantime, I will continue thanking the Patriots who fought and gave up so much to secure our Constitutional Republic…..and leave the politics to those who feel the need to belong to this group or that group rather than thinking independently for themselves.

      • Lee

        It was Classic Liberalism:

Classical liberalism is the philosophy committed to the ideal of limited government, constitutionalism, rule of law, due process, and liberty of individuals including freedom of religion, speech, press, assembly, and free markets.[1][2]
Classical liberalism developed in the 19th century in Europe and the United States. Although classical liberalism built on ideas that had already developed by the end of the 18th century, it advocated a specific kind of society, government and public policy as a response to the Industrial Revolution and urbanization.[3] Notable individuals who have contributed to classical liberalism include Jean-Baptiste Say, Thomas Malthus and David Ricardo.[4] It drew on the economics of Adam Smith and on a belief in natural law, utilitarianism, and progress.

      • eddie47d

Most of our early Patriots came from Europe which were brutal Conservative autocracies. The Patriots did everything in their power to escape the draconian laws that these Conservative governments put in place. Unfortunately the Conservative British government followed them and reinstated the old laws and the Patriots had to make a choice;escape further west or stand and fight against the new British Conservative government. The Patriots won and there was a victory for Liberal laws. Today some Conservatives want to go back to stricter laws and some Liberals want to enact even looser laws. The lines are indeed blurred between what the Conservatives,Liberals or Libertarians want. Extreme laws from any side that harms the rights of others have to be closely watched and some are not acceptable.

  • TML

Lol… Sounds like he is parroting the slogon of Ron Paul revolution. He’s jealous, lol. People are taking notice that the patriots are the ones making Ron Pauls campaign possible. Unlike Obama and the others like Romney.

  • T Gerald

Obama is for sure the anticrist and must be put out of office before he does anymore damage to America.

    • http://Windows7 Ellen

Agree. Start at the top and get a big broom and sweep this enemy of our country and his Chicago thugs out of Washington. He is truly delusional — and dangerous.

  • Lueder

I would have to agree with the President’s remarks, with one small difference. The Founding Fathers started a revolution to “free the people”, whereas Obama is starting a revolution to do exactly the opposite, to “enslave the people”. Only God (who had a hand in the making of America can save us now, but only if we as a people will be willing to return to the morality and Christian/Judeo values that made us a great nation.

  • Yacov

If Obama indeed made these statements, it makes Obama come across as some sort of god. Not in my book. I won’t follow the masses that are going straight to Hell.

    • Rayma Dorsa

I suspect Obama is telling what he is going to bring about…he has done this in other countries and now it is our turn,.,.,Obama is from HELL and will soon return there…IF we are allowed to have elections,if we can’t get him OUT BEFORE elections, this will happen,be prepared, and get everyone to vote RON PAUL…and PRAY for AMERICA.

    • eddie47d

Rayma has drank the kool aid with that ridiculous insistence that there won’t be any elections. That is dumbed down talk coming from the right wing Freak Shows.Grow a pair and stop being your own worst enemy.

      • hitthedeck

Eddie47 you got to be kidding! If Jefferson were alive today he would be leading a revival revolution against Obama and his socialist administration. He is the one who warned us about people like Obama going around the laws of our land to gain power. He would demand the removal this administration and go so further with an armed revolution to put them down.

      • eddie47d

I don’t think so> Jefferson hated suppression at least from that period. He welcomed new ideas and a progressive society.

  • skyraider 6

Would he had served then, or run and hide?

    • Martha

He would have stayed in Kenya where he was born.

  • Stephen

Obama is declaring revolutionary change. Change FROM the principles America was founded upon; and not back TO the principles it WAS founded upon. This guy is way too dangerous for America and he has got to go. Hopefully all AMERICANS will step up and vote correctly to terminate the Obamir’s employment to us. If they do not, the slavery to the Obamir government elite will continue.

    • Buckner

      Rope burn or lead poisoning…

  • mrrzk

pray, pray and pray some more——–no one is above God, not even obama…………..

    • Blue Devil

mrrzk — Don’t let Obama know that. You’ll hurt his feelings!

    • eddie47d

He didn’t compare his speech to the Founding Fathers as Big Daddy said but to those who took their message to the streets and fought back against the British government. It’s true that Obama is part and parcel of big government and it’s going to take some doing to convince people otherwise. We’ve been fooled by every President for 200 years so this is nothing new. To say Obama is worse than Johnson or G Bush deserves a chuckle when considering all the hyperbole. Criticism is moving at the speed of light and no political figure can escape all the negativity. That is the new America that has been accepted and it will get worse whether Obama is re-elected or Romney or Paul gets in. Every idea and every action will be shot down and the numbing morass that has set in will be with us forever.

  • http://. Big Daddy

This man is delusional and should be checked by a qualified shrink and then committed. If he likens himself to the founding fathers again they will probably rise from the dead and take care of him for us.

    • raw

      Amen.

    • Ja

I agree, this man is Truly an Idiot. He is not worthy to carry Lincolns Hat and bag to the theater.

  • rhcrest

Oh this is hysterical. I started choking from laughter when i saw the headline.

  • tim

The only thing obama is, is a POS!!! I’m not talkin about a piece here, I’m talkin about a pile!!

  • s c

So this is what it sounds like when a poser prez outs himself. ‘You, ordinary citizens’ can take solace in the fact that an extraordinary yahoo like the prez is playing his lemmings like bargain basement toys.
To get America closer ‘to our highest ideals’ is felon-speak for enslaving America so elected turncoats can take credit for the deed(s). As usual, it’s not what the con artiste says, it’s what he means.
In this, however, WE are NOT the British. This is where Obummer reverses roles to hoodwink his trained sheeple into thinking they had bit parts in imploding America. It takes a trained, doubting ear to recognize the filth being used to enslave this
    once great land.
And to think you useful idiots and social rejects went out of your way to “give” this pretender prez to America. Thanks for NOTHING, you sycophantic, double-minded dolts.

    • Warrior

He’s is a great man indeed and he comes from a place that has accomplished his idea of utopia. Yes, the great state of Illinois, ruled over by none other than the Chicago democrapic machine.

      Personal Liberty – NOT
      Property Rights – NOT
      Misery Index – 100%

America, even if you never attended the “Taste of Chicago”, fear not because we now deliver! How does it taste?

      • Randy131

King George usurped the laws enacted by his own parliment, and did as he pleased when concerning the American colonist, and was the reason for the American Revolutionary War, and the beginning of this great nation. Obama usurps the mandates of the US Constitution by making appointments without Congress’ ‘Advise and Consent’, which he declares Congress is in recess, when Congress claims they are not, and passed the last law Obama wanted and signed into law under those same conditions, that Obama declares is an official recess, which if true, then makes the law Obama wanted and signed, illegal and moot. Like King George, Obama is inconsistent and declares his own interpretation of laws, despite what those who made the laws say that they are and mean. So those who donate to Obama’s re-election are more like the ‘Loyalists Colonists’ who preferred dictate over law, than those who revolted against King George’s tyranny.

      • Searcher

If this was truly the days of the Revolutionary War, he would be out of office already. What few politicians that were around then truly believed in freedom of the people, not bigger government or self imposed tyrants.

      • Gustyj

You are correct and it is time we do as they did in 1776 and get our guns and take back our country from this BASTARD.

      • Alex Frazier

He’s not a bastard. He’s a legitimately born citizen of Kenya with a Kenyan father.

      • Vic Bailey

This son of a whore has done more damage to America than any 5 presidents with the exception of Lincoln which did exactly what Bama is trying to do NOW. Put people away that doesn’t agree with him! Lincoln closed down newspapers that disagreed with him, put hundreds of people in jail until the war was over. Which made Lincoln the FIRST Dictator in American history! Semper Fi. The ONLY people that made Lincoln a hero were MORONS, he didn’t care about the people either, he only cared about power and control, and he was a lawyer too! Quit putting lawyers in office we can’t afford it! Semper Fi.

      • eddie47d

There is indeed a new American Revolution going on and every citizen is guilty of abandoning the Constitution. That includes each and every one who doesn’t abide by Liberty and Justice for All and that All Men are Created Equal. Either you accept that fact or you are un-American. You can’t claim the Constitution for yourself and ignore your next door neighbor or even the person who lives miles away. That goes for rich and poor, red states and blue states, religious believers and atheists and so forth and so on. Are the laws fairly distributed in this nation? Not even close where some favor one person or issue over another person and that affects those on the left and the right. That is a revolution worth having.

      • 45caliber

        eddie:

“You can’t claim the Constitution for yourself and ignore your next door neighbor or even the person who lives miles away.”

Sure I can. I will grant them the same freedom I expect them to grant me. They can get any job they want that is available, work to buy whatever they want, do whatever they want, etc. … as long as they leave me alone to do the same thing. I am NOT responsible to see that they have the same things I do without having to work for them. If they don’t want to work, that is also fine with me – but I don’t feel I should be forced to fund their life style.

Slavery is basicially being forced to give up your labor for someone else’s gain. That is exactly what the Welfare system is doing, with the help of the government, to the tax payers of the US.

      • eddie47d

I also implied what you said for I wasn’t taking sides in how the wealthy steal from the economy or that welfare folks steal from the system. Neither one of those entities give a dang about equality only self interest.

      • Karen

It is called Lust and Greed.

      • Alex Frazier

Self interest is the impetus behind a functional economy. Don’t condemn greed too hastily. It is to satisfy our own needs and wants (i.e. our self interest) that compells us to work. It is to satisfy our own needs and wants that slaves are bought and sold. It is to satisfy our own needs and wants that corporations seek monopolies, the poor work the system, and the government implements programs with the goal of eradicating all suffering. If we didn’t have wants and needs, we would do nothing. Because we have wants and needs, we seek a method to satisfy them. And it is human nature to obtain the greatest amount of benefit for the least amount of pain. The wealthy do it by using money to make money. The poor do it by finding every conceivable loophole in the system so they can get a greater hand-out.

Every man works according to his own self interest, and it is general ignorance of this fact that conceals the source of class warfare.

    • Ellen

With Obama, it’s always about hype. When he ran in 2008, the hype was that he was an intelligent man, great orator, and uniter. He didn’t live up to the hype in any category. He has tried class warfare and demonizing successful people and he supported the OWS movement. Now that the OWS movement has shown itself to be useless fools, he can’t focus on that for a while. So, this is his newest strategy. His campaign can’t focus on accomplishments, as he’s had none. He’s caused the divided Congress, yet he attempts to shift the blame to the Republicans. In essesnce, he’s blaming them for not letting him be a dictator. We should all thank them.

      • eddie47d

There lies the problem Ellen. You CHOOSE to attack OWS without listening to the message about mortgage failures,Wall Street scams, over burdened college costs,Insider Trading, obscene CEO salaries, crooked politicians, bankster fraud and unjustified fees. No wonder there is so much failure within our economic system and the crimes of the Elite are never ending. Like that which was said yesterday where OWS protesters are beaten, silenced and sent to jail but those who committed Wall Street crimes were not incarcerated yet became even wealthier. That is a mockery of justice and puts to the forefront the need for a new American Revolution.

      • 45caliber

And why do we have those “scams” as you say? The mortgage “scam” was because the government insisted on the loan associations giving loans to unqualified people – with the promise that the government would cover the bad loans. The college problem is because too many people feel that they shouldn’t have to pay back the loans – because the government doesn’t require a sizable number of them to pay them back for various reason. And so on.

I was always taught in classes on safety to find the root cause for any problem to stop accidents. The same goes for these problems. It is easy to blame the mortgage fiasco on the rich or the loan businesses but that simply stops at the first level. You never get to the root cause. And, since it reflects on the people you admire in politics, it never will as long as you don’t start looking deeper.

      • Ken

Our government doesn’t set monetary policy (ie. interest rates and regulations). That is solely the job of the Federal Reserve. Therefore, your premise that the housing bubble, and other bubbles, are caused by the government is false. The Fed is privately held corporation with no accountability to the people or government. In fact, they’re the most damaging and greedy corporation in our country and probably the world. They should be the number one target of OWS. Second, should be companies like Walmart who take out life insurance policies on their employees then deny them healthcare. If you don’t think that giant corporations are greedy and corrupt, you need to have your head examined. OWS is right on the money. They just need some more education (and to lose the socialists).

      • 45caliber

You are correct about the Federal Reserve.

BUT … I still stand by what I said. The government (HUD among other groups) told the banks and other lenders that they wanted the people who could not qualify for loans to get them. Clinton made the comment that any bank that didn’t have at least 20% bad loans was wrong. And the loan institutes were promiced by the government (not the Fed. Reserve) that those bad loans would be covered by Freddie Mac and Fannie May. Why do you think those groups are in trouble? The loan institutes followed the orders although I do believe that they took advantage of them. Further, due to the loans house prices began to skyrocket – which allowed the people to believe that they could buy cheap and sell higher a year or two later so they weren’t worried about making the payments. But it STARTED when the government issued those orders.

      • eddie47d

Caliber needs to explain why Corporates/CEOs don’t go to jail while OWS protester do? If Caliber wants to throw in government officials that is fine with me but he needs to stop pandering to those corporate criminals as if they don’t exist.

      • 45caliber

I have no problem sending CEOs to jail when they break the laws. But they have lots of help to insure they DON’T break the laws in most cases (Enron was not one of those most cases) and the government is perfectly willing to pass laws so they won’t have to break any laws. If you catch someone who is truly breaking the law, I will be more than happy to see him/her go to jail. No CEO held a gun to the heads of those who couldn’t afford loans to make them take them. Many of those buying expected the government to actually step in and pay their mortgages for them.

      • Bob

I agree strongly with your point!!!
