Mr. President: Stop Appeasing Islam!

January 11, 2012 by

Mr. President: Stop Appeasing Islam!

Brace yourself for at least another year of President Barack Obama selling out America’s interests to Islam, regardless of the economic or social consequences.

An open letter to Obama:

Dear Mr. President,

It is time for you to stop sucking up to Islamic nations and the grand ambitions of Islam. After three years in the Oval Office, you should have realized one very important lesson: appeasing Islam only weakens America. Millions of Muslims hate our guts, and no amount of foreign aid or good will is going to change that fact.

It is my most sincere hope that when the next President takes office in 12 months, you will begin to see the error of your ways.

A citizen with deep concerns,

–John Myers

America’s Faustian Deal

Obama is hardly the first President to try to appease the Islamic world. A policy of spending and appeasement of the Arabs began in 1944 when President Franklin D. Roosevelt appointed Col. William A. Eddy as the first U.S. foreign minister to Saudi Arabia. Ibn Saud, the founder of Saudi Arabia, told Eddy, “We will use your iron, but you will leave our faith alone.”

After more than six decades, the United States has spent and invested almost $3 trillion in oil and arms on Saudi Arabia. Washington has given once-poor Bedouin camel campers some of the most advanced weaponry and technology in the world.

None of it has fundamentally changed the makeup of Saudi Arabia’s ruling princes. They pride themselves in believing the teaching of Muhammad while practicing a lifestyle that is the envy of Hugh Hefner.

In case you think that Saudi Arabia is progressive, consider this: In 1974, 90 percent of Saudi exports were oil. Just last year, 90 percent of Saudi exports were oil. All the while, sheiks and princes have demanded that America dare not interfere with Saudi religious beliefs. That allows the Kingdom to use oil money to export Islamic extremism in the form of the official Saudi religion, Wahhabism.

In The New York Times in May, columnist Thomas L. Friedman wrote:

The Saudi ruling bargain is an old partnership between the al-Saud tribe and the Wahhabi religious sect. The al-Saud tribe get to stay in power and live however they want behind their palace walls, and, in return, the followers of the Wahhabi sect get to control the country’s religious mores, mosques and education system.

The Wahhabis bless the Saudi regime with legitimacy in the absence of any elections, and the regime blesses them with money and a free hand on religion. The only downside is that this system ensures a steady supply of “sitting around guys” — young Saudi males who have nothing other than religious education and no skills to compete — who then get recruited to become 9/11-style hijackers and suicide bombers in Iraq.

Progressive Saudi writer Mai Yamani wrote the book Cradle of Islam. The daughter of Saudi Arabia’s former oil minister, Yamani underscores the truth about a nation that Obama holds in high esteem — despite the fact Saudi money stirs political ferment and even revolution.

In The Daily Star of Beirut, Lebanon, Yamani wrote: “Despite the decade of the West’s war on terror, and Saudi Arabia’s longer-term alliance with the United States, the Kingdom’s Wahhabi religious establishment has continued to bankroll Islamic extremist ideologies around the world.”

Say what you will about the paranoia during the anti-Red frenzy; at least in the 1950s and ’60s, the United States and its leaders recognized that communism was a danger. Two generations later, Islam in the extreme is just as dangerous.

In his book America Alone: The End of the World As We Know It, Mark Steyn wrote: “The Saudis fund mosques that radicalize distant Muslim populations from Indonesia to Oregon, and schools that turn out terrorists on every continent on the face of the Earth. They set up Islamic lobby groups that put spies in our military bases and terror recruiters in our prisons. They endow think tanks that buy up and neuter the massed ranks of retired diplomats, and assistant secretaries of state, and national security advisers: as the journalist Matt Welch remarked, if you close your eyes, America’s ex-ambassadors to Saudi Arabia sound like they’re Saudi.”

In 2005, a 23-year-old American citizen named Ahmed Omar Abu Ali was convicted of conspiracy to commit terrorism, including a plot to assassinate President George W. Bush. Abu Ali had gone to Saudi Arabia to study after graduating from The Islamic Saudi Academy in Virginia. Abu Ali was the 1999 valedictorian of the school, which is run by the Saudi government.

Steyn writes: “It’s on American soil but it describes itself as ‘subject to the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’ and its classes are based on ‘the curriculum, syllabus, and materials established by the Saudi Ministry of Education.’”

Wahhibism is being taught not far from our Nation’s capital. Can you imagine Virginian kids attending Mao Zedong High in the 1960s?

Americans do not enjoy reciprocal freedoms in Saudi Arabia, a nation that doesn’t even allow women to drive.

The Saudis harvest what knowledge and technology the United States can provide in return for their oil, which is now priced above $100 per barrel — five times higher than it was on 9/11. It is a good deal for Saudi Arabia; and under Obama, the United States will become ever more dependent on Saudi oil. With the Greens in the Democratic Party, a blockade is being set up to stop imports of oil sands from Canada. Meanwhile, new leases to drill offshore are few and far between and development of Alaska’s rich reserves is at a standstill.

As new technologies fail to deliver on the promises made by the Greens, we are more and more at the mercy of Islam. And in case you haven’t noticed, Islam is not big on mercy.

Perhaps a new President will change directions. But if Obama is re-elected, expect the cancer that is extreme Islam to spread and threaten not only our economy but our way of life.

Yours in good times and bad,

–John Myers

Hmm? Well John, I understand your feeling, I really do but 44 is just one in a long line of “appeasers” and down deep you know it.

We(the world) has grown fond of a life style. The attempt to take something away we have grown fond of is “not acceptable”. Look at 43′s tax cuts, while the wars was really about future oil/mineral extraction interest, while the tab unfunded and to be picked up by the last man to stand and leave the table. Chaney had vallot to bring his car to the front door before everyone even sit down.

The Bush’s are up to their eyeballs with middle eastern good buddy family deals. I happen to have family that serves as “interpreter” for big oil and is widely traveled, as well as being required to making the New York social scene and all of it’s~ well over the top “extravagance”.

So let’s not bull $hit the bull$hitter about what is going on in circles far removed for our mundane little lives where a $35 dollar steak is considered a fine dinning experience.

Money talks & bull$hit walks. The money these people throw around is hard for anyone to ignore.

Interesting article although I had the impression that the president’s policy was to bomb the islamic world into accepting the US position.

  • Pierce Smith

It is impossible for our President to stop sucking up to to Islam. The fact is he was reared by a Muslim, therefore he sides with islamist. Three plus years ago the people in this country didn’t do their homework, and so Barack Obama was elected President. We have to live with that decision for 1 more year, like it or not. The big question is are the voters going to make the same mistake? I hope not. I did not vote for him, and I will not vote for him. He is trying to destroy this country, make no bones about it.

It amazes how many people who say that they support the US Constitution but they do not know what is contain in the US Constitution.

What has that got to do with Pierce’s comment?

True ally? Try Researching – Attack on the U.S.S. Liberty.

The ship was attacked by Israel on June 8th, 1967. The attack was no accident and lasted for 2 hours, after wave after wave of Israeli war planes and torpedo boats, tried to sink the ship. 34 American seamen were killed and 171 were injured.

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Thomas Moorer and Secretary of State dean Rusk stated publicly that Israel deliberately attacked the Liberty. Israel’s intent was to have it look like the Egyptians were behind the attack.

WE CAN SOLVE MOST OF THE PROBLUMS . JUST VOTE IN RON PAUL

    • Brian Schultz

      oh ike,

The blind leading the blind here…… just vote in RuPAul that will fix all our PROBLUMS….. Geez.. Ok people vote in a richpublican… then you will finally see that whoever you put in the presidents office can’t/ won’t get anything done because of the screwed up congressional situation but it will be a great help to all of the HARD WORKING AMERICANS of MIDDLE/ LOWER Class to put a person in power whose whole political belief system is based on have/ have not (I have and I don’t care a lick about those that have not)… You are truly brilliant!!!!

      • DaveH

        Brian,
I see you’re the typical Liberal who must resort to personal attacks in lieu of the facts.
The best thing that can happen is for Congress to be deadlocked. While they are, they’re not spending our money on wasteful endeavors or passing more regulatory hurdles for our already regulation-fatigued businesses.
Name me a single category of business (excluding Government monopolies), Brian, that Government does better than the private sector? Why would you want those losers taking over more of our economy?

      • Brian Schultz

The government is NOT supposed to be ‘in business’… they are supposed to work for the poulace meaning the people of this country……..Business is supposed to be done by us….. Oh let me rephrease- the government is ‘supposed to be in the business of working for us..

As to personal attacks, no I don’t feel i am attacking any one person at all

As to being Liberal, blah blah blah… please se the other post i sent your way

      • Brian Schultz

        Also,

How possibly can the best thing for this country be for congeress to be deadlocked… It is bad enough that nothing is being done.. so thats briiliant Deadlock thew govt so nothing still gets done..

Where do you live? I see my neighbors struggling to survive, I have friends that cant afford to buy food for their kids much less pay house paynments and utilities……sorry but (even if you have to call me liberal) i can;\’t justify putting a richpublican in office who doesn’t care about the ‘little people’ around him…..what is next for them changing the laws to say you are only a ‘qualified american’ if you mave a minimum six figure income or better?

when are the HArdworking AMericans that built this country going to be recognized and helped….. Certainly not while congress is deadlocked and to busy spending time on the next election…. on that note how much time do these elected officials have to work on OUR problems when a week after they get into office they already start maneuvers for the next election…… I have put up post after post asking the same questions and none of you “intellectuals” have come up with a valid counterpoint…..

How hard is it for anyone especially the ‘conservative’ set to see that the biggest problem in America right now is that her people are not being taken care of (and I mean ALL of her people…. not just the wealthy- that by the way wouldn’t be wealthy if it wasn’t for us peasants.

He should take that bimbo wife and 2 daughters, get on that muslim flying magic carpet of his and jet on over to saudi arabia and stay there.God Bless America

    • NC

Ron, is it OK if Obama waits for the bush jet that took the bush Muslim buddies back to Saudi Arabia on 9/11? The one full of bin Ladens!!
Do you know if bush’s bimbo made those 77 flights to Crawford and back when he was on PART of his 1000 days of vaction?
AS FOR BUSH’S KIDS, THEY WERE PROBABLY OFF DRINKING AGAIN ON THEIR FAKE IDs!!

  • meher

It is not Saudi Arab alone Americans in general and this president in particular is trying to appease.Look at Pakistan another Muslim country where America is spending billions of dollars out of Americans hard earned money.Of what use? This money is virtually going down the drain.Pakistan is another ungrateful country. When America tries to reduce the aid, they black-mail USA and go to China as if to ridicule Americans. They harbored Osama Bin Ladan who was being vigorously pursued by USA.But still Pakistan is getting the same treatment. Why USA cannot tell Pak that enough is enough and Pak must mend its ways to get more aid?

  • OkieRon

America is *$$-kissing Middle Eastern/Islamic nations, as it ALWAYS has (Don’t forget the pic of Little Donnie Rumsfeld smiling and yukking it up with our old friend/arch-enemy Saddam Hussein. He was sent there back during “Mourning In America” by our Savior, “Dutch” Reagan, to hand out weapons of mass destruction to Iraq. No wonder we thought they had WMD’s–we gave ‘em to the Iraqis! Go figure!)–is that we’re addicted to oil, and everyone knows you don’t get up in the face of your pusher-man if you’re a junkie. The sad little lie behind everything is that our entire way of life is unsustainable–which is why it’s better we blame each other, hate each other, piss on the President, rather than face the ugly truth. Our way of life only worked because we were 5% of the world, sucking down 20% of it’s resources. What we run our cars on ain’t the problem, but it makes for a good sound bite for stupid people to get whipped up on. The real problem: Plastics. Synthetics. The crap we build our Gameboys and Wiis out of, then shovel ‘em into the landfill to upgrade from version 2.0 to version 2.5, y’know? The amount of oil we put in our gas tanks is NOTHING when you consider that it takes 7 gallons of petroleum to make each tire on your car….and 5 calories of petroleum for every calorie of food that we truck from one end of the country to the other so people can have fresh bananas…the oil that goes into fertilizers to feed the burned-up moonscape we call Agribusiness, where, if you pump into the ground the same stuff that Timothy McVeigh blew up the federal building with–fossil fuel and fertilizer–we can grow “miracle genetically modified”, nutrient-deficient, fat-building corn products to line the pockets of CEOs even as our kids are blowing up like feed-lot cattle. And you can’t save and re-plant ANY of those seeds, they’re built to self-destruct so we all have to go back to Monsanto and Cargill with our hands out and beg them to feed us. And now the Godless Chinese want to ape and mock our miracle life by wanting all the crap that we rammed down their throats as the vision of What Jesus Gives You If You’re a Righteous American…and conservative estimates indicate that if they get the “American Way of Life”, we’ll need another planet and a half in 30 years just to keep them in the plastics and gasoline it takes to look like Americans. So, rather than face that, by all means let’s waste time/energy giving Obama his “Waterloo” and keep on stuffing our faces with Mickey-D’s and driving our fat-ass gas guzzlers down the block to pick up diet pills ’cause we’re too lazy to walk–hey, these colors don’t run! That way we can blame and hate each other right till the end and we won’t know what hit us–we’ll just assume our demise came at the hand of some new mysterious Obama-Kenyan-Islamo-Voodoo-CommuNaziHomoSocialist Plot–rather than dying by our own stupid, short-sighted greed.

    • Walt

Hey Okie, try breaking up your thoughts into “paragraphs”…easier to read. Just a friendly suggestion.

      • Sol of Texas

        Yeah … that’s quite a rant!

      • OkieRon

‘Sorry about the text blocking, there…for some reason when I double spaced return, it didn’t break into paragraphs. I apologize for the difficulty in reading.

    • Maryland Freestater

      OkieRon,

      What’s your point?

Seriously, you’re right and wrong at the same time. You should NOT be vilifying Americans because of our consumption practices – if it wasn’t available then it couldn’t be purchased (‘build it and they will come’). Part of the problem is that we appear to be steered towards poor choices: EG, I live in suburban Maryland and commute 26 miles one-way to work every day. the DC Metro doers not extend far enough to make it feasible to ride to work, and additionally it costs $12 / day to ride. My car gets 40 mi/gal., and costs $3.50 /day to drive.

If the local governments weren’t so involved in liberal permissivist social programs (needle-sharing and free cellphones in Md., endemic corruption in DC) then someone with a little foresight would hire DisneyCo. to establish monorails to feed the entire DC/Baltimore Metro systems into each other. If anybody knows how to move people rapidly and efficiently, it’s Disney.

Energy: SCREW conservation and I sincerely mean that! Our planet is bathed in more energy daily than Mankind has generated in a thousand years. Or ‘Tesla-power’, inductive /electromagnetic generation of ambient energy of all sorts. What is ‘greener’ than transducing ambient energy from the environment? Why isn’t there research being done into true alternative energy sources? Energy just waiting to be harvested.

Sir, believe it or not there is a ‘dark hand’ behind many of the problems we’re experiencing: and if both Americans and the planet do not wake up very soon, we’re in for hell on earth for real. So don’t blame your political and philosophical opposites for our problems – united we stand, divided we fall – and we’re rapidly being divided for a host of reasons for which we shouldn’t.

Sorry to metaphysically soapbox, and I hope you can prove me wrong…

      • OkieRon

I understand your idea about letting Disney build the commuter rail system between Baltimore and D.C. and I think it’s great…but it hits at the heart of the ideological rigidity of the far right stance–and has little bearing on reality, unfortunately. Left to their own devices, Disney would NEVER build a light rail system. Reason? They are capitalists, not community servants. They answer to their shareholders, not the American people. And their job is not to build things, but to turn things into cash. If in the process of doing that, they happen to make something we can use, well, that’s okay too.

        Nothing personal, it’s just capitalism.

Sometimes the common good and capitalism come to the same end, but frequently not…taking the Cheney Tax Cuts and liquidating them into credit-default-swaps and derivatives trading rather than becoming beneficent “job creators” is exactly why CEOs saw their salaries blow up by over 350% since the 1970s while real wages among the former middle class haven’t increased at all.

In fact, they figured out that, rather than waste their money raising employees real wages for the feces class (what I call the non-yacht buyin’ former middle class), they could simply create a credit economy and LOAN the employees the money for the American Dream and make money over again by charging them interest. Then in the ultimate smirky, snarky, Enron-screwin’ its employees into buying company stock the day before they closed the doors and fired everybody, the “1%” has you guys on here kicking each other for your failure to rise out of the credit economy that they built–they planned on you owing money to the company store rather than raising your wages, and if they can shame you for your predicament that’s even better. It’s why GM began making more money from GMAC financing in the ’80s even while they were building progressively crappier cars. They weren’t making anything. They were just making money on making money. There’s no incentive to build things if they can keep laundering their money in circles and turning it into cash.

Similarly, when it comes to the much-vaunted “Energy Security”…we can kill the polar bears, club the seals, and shoot the mountain lions, and give every square inch of America over to the oil companies to drill-baby-drilla, and NONE of that parting with our crude beneath our feet will reduce the price of gasoline at the pumps by one penny in real money. Why? Because capitalism dictates that our Christian Oil Providers (BP, Royal Dutch Shell, et al) are mandated by law to take our oil and sell it on the world market to the highest bidder.

And I promise you, for the rest of the future of petroleum development, China, India, Pakistan, and the other 3/5ths of the world will be the highest bidder. Why? Because Madison Avenue has beaten them over the heads for generations getting them to want our lifestyle and abandon their own. That’s why I cited statistical reference to the fact that we, the west, are 5% of the world’s population, and we’re using 20% of its resources. DO. THE. MATH. Short of a global die-off that will make the Black Death look like a hangnail, the rest of the developing world has every intention of outbidding us for our resources, unless we were to somehow mandate that these international oil companies would be required to sell American oil only in America.

That would be Big Government intervention, and we could never do that. (In fact, I just threw up in my mouth a little saying those words.)

      • OkieRon

Oh, and similarly, Tesla energy may be real, but since capitalism dictates that the first responsibility of capitalists is to launder money, left to their own devices, corporations historically NEVER take the risks to make the big leaps in technology.

The automobile industry made a fortune off of America’s love of the automobile, but when the CommuNaziHomoSocialist America-hating, Al-Qaeda loving evilduer Dwight Eisenhower pushed through the Interstate Highway Act in the 1950s, the rabid right c-r-o-w-e-d that he was destroying America, wasting America’s money on a communist plan to link our traffic and commerce together in a vast, government-controlled network of highways–using taxpayer dollars to tie the country together in a boondoggle of massive proportions–which they proceeded to make money hand-over-fist after it was done and they stopped bitching about it. And none of their dire prophecies about socialism taking over our roadways happened.

Similarly, if you live in rural America and are able to log on to personalliberty.com and pray here for the President’s death, I reallllly hate to tell you this, but you can’t thank America’s corporations for giving you that opportunity; you have to thank another filthy, communist-takeover liberal (*gag*), Lyndon Johnson, and the New Deal (*gag*, again) for introducing and passing the Rural Electrification Act of 1937, while the rabid right prayed for FDR’s death and, again, crowed that American taxpayers shouldn’t be coddling the rural population. Corporate America railed against the Big Government spending, since our Christian Corporations had decided long ago that it would be a waste of money to give electricity to a bunch of dumb crackers out in the country.

I could go on–Big Government wasteful spending partnered with the University of Pennsylvania on a socialist boondoggle called ENIAC–the grandfather of the computer you’re using to curse Big Government on.

Big Government socialist spending on ARPANET created the linked computer network that was eventually turned over to the private sector–who had no intention of ever cooperating together on such a project–and that became the internet. Who invented it? Al Gore? Well, him, and you, and me, and our parents and grandparents. They built that out of our taxes, because the unity of direction and economy of scale allowed us to push together toward that one goal, in partnership. We’re so dumb we think the corporations just magically gave us all that through the miracle of greed.

Hmm. GPS, All of the derivative technologies from the aerospace industry, they all are the result of the work, not of Big Corporate–who doesn’t answer to you and me–but Big Government–with Big Corporate always whining about the creeping socialism of it and then cashing in big when it hits paydirt. It’s how our entire way of life has been built, but I doubt you’ll hear Lord Limbaugh or Lady Ann owning up to any of that.

I’ll be the first to tell you that Socialism and it’s religion was/is a failure. The last of the 20th Century proved that. I just wonder if the first of the 21st Century is going to prove that the religion of greedy capitalism is just as big a failure. We made the mistake of turning an economic model into a religion with a penchant for burning heretics, and in the end it may destroy us all.

We need to find a third way. We’ve done it in the past, but as we’ve shortened up on book-learnin’ and gunned up and angered out, I fear we may be cutting ourselves to pieces right at the point where the only thing to save us will be a willingness to work together and compromise. Historian Shelby Foote said that it was always America’s genius to find compromise.

He added that, the last time that genius failed, we ended up destroying the nation in a civil war.

I have no doubt the Confederacy Party (formerly Republican Party) will succeed in handing Obama his Waterloo. It’s the first thing they said when he was elected, and everything they’ve worked for has the goose-steppy focus of acheiving that goal. With the rush to the gun stores and murmuring darkly about “second amendment remedies”, I have every confidence that if Obama wins the election, they’ve set the stage to take with the bullet what they lose with the ballot.

It’s too bad, we could’ve had better. But, I guess that’s what you get when you glorify Beavis and Butthead as heroes and say people who read books are “elitist” enemies.

“MR.President” is a title that Obama is NOT entitled to:

You are correct. He earned it, we gave it to him, and we’ll wisely give it to him until early 2017.

No one is ‘entitled’ to the title.

IKE, I AM GOING TO LOVE THIS SITE MORE AND MORE BECAUSE OF POSTS LIKE THIS….I AM ASSUMING BY YOUR COMMENTS THAT YOU ARE IN SOME WAY CHRISTIAN…SO I WOULD SUGGEST YOU READ THE TOME IN WHICH YOU BELIEVE AGAIN. THIS BOOK AS WELL AS THE OTHER “GREAT BOOKS” OF RELIGION SPECIFICALLY SAY- “THAT YOU ARE NOT TO JUDGE OTHERS” AND ALSO THAT “THE PEOPLE ARE/ OR SHALL BE ALLOWED TO BELIEVE HOWEVER THEY WANT AS LONG AS THEY BELIEVE SOMETHING”

THE TRULY SAD THING IS THAT THIS WORLD WOULD BE A FAR BETTER PLACE IF PEOPLE WOULD QUIT MISINTERPRETING A BOOK/ AND/OR BOOKS THAT CLEARLY DEFINE HOW PEOPLE CAN BE GOOD AND HOW THE HUMAN RACE ITSELF CAN BE GOOD IF THEY/ IT FOLLOWS SIMPLE TENENTS…

LAUGHABLE IT IS THAT THE RELIGION THAT MOST FAMOUSLY TOUGHTS THE ‘TEN COMMANDMENTS’ IS THE MOST GUILTY OF BREAKING THEM IN THE NAME OF RELIGION (HISTORICAL FACT- MORE PEOPLE HAVE BEEN KILLED OR PERSECUTED IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST THAN BY ANY OTHER FORMAL RELIGION KNOWN TO EARTHS HISTORY…. AND CHRIST PREACHED PEACE AND LOVE)

The leadership of the Mormon Church theocracy requires religious obedience from members and teaches them that individuals need not think for themselves concerning church doctrine as taught by the Church Authorities. Even in areas of non-church affairs, such as politics and economics, the church hierarchy expects members to follow its directions. This is shown by the church’s involvement in defeating the Equal Rights Amendment in 1982 as well as in numerous other church-led political activities. In addition, the church has disproportionate influence in such governmental departments as the FBI, the CIA, and the FCC (Federal Communications Commission).

The Mormon Church theocracy is also gaining influence in Congress with the election of greater numbers of Mormon members. Church influence is obvious in the lobbying of congressional members to support Mormon programs and to vote for laws that further their goals. Church hierarchy involvement is apparent in all aspects of government, including the Supreme Court, as shown by the church’s filing of a legal brief with the court, opposing a New Jersey Supreme Court ruling that would prevent the National Boy Scout organization from excluding gays from Boy Scout groups. (St. George Spectrum, April 27, 2000)

“Ronald Reagan truly admired the Latter-day Saints. His administration included more members of the Church than any other American president, ever. Three of us, David Fischer, Gregory Newell and I, served on his personal White House staff. Richard Wirthlin was his chief strategist. Ted Bell served as Secretary of Education, Angela Buchanan was Treasurer, Rex Lee was Solicitor General. His White House included Roger Porter, Brent Scowcroft, Richard Beal, Blake Parish, Jon Huntsman Jr., Dodie Borup and Rocky Kuonen, and there were many other Latter-day Saints throughout his Administration. President Thomas S. Monson served on a Presidential Commission on Volunteerism. Others were ambassadors. LDS senators and representatives were held in special regard, and the Tabernacle Choir was his special inaugural guest.” -Stephen M. Studdert, Special Assistant to President Reagan
Source: “President Reagan respected Church,” Church News

Mormon theocracy regards the President (or Prophet) of the church to be infallible, and they believe that he has direct communication with God, therefore can do no wrong or make a mistake. Members believe that Church Authorities (fourteen apostles in addition to the president of the church) are also infallible. There is no democracy in the decision making of the church, since all appointments from the highest to the lowest offices in the church are made under the umbrella of the church president. If the Mormon Church were to gain control of the United States, there would be no secret ballot election of congressional representatives, no secret ballot election of state legislators, nor for local governmental officials. All of these officials would be appointed by the President of the Mormon Church, with assistance from other church officials.

The organizational and functional aspects of the plan to control the United States are already in place in many Mormon communities. Doctors, dentists and lawyers in these communities are overwhelmingly members of the Mormon Church. They have been indoctrinated from birth in the tenants and beliefs of the Mormon Church, and many attended Brigham Young University where further indoctrination occurred. Many of these professionals are assuming leadership positions in the church and are ready to take on additional responsibilities if “called” by the church hierarchy.

It’s my belief that any person that feels it necessary for the church to stand between you and your “Creator” is misguided and a weak link in any chain.

Where you received your enlightenment does not in it’s self validate your enlightenment but only offers a point of reference.

      • Jagans

Gee, sounds a lot like Catholicism. The Pope is infallable, take everything on faith. Jesus was divinely conceived. Hey, what about his brothers and sisters that history and archeology tells us he had????

I hate to say this, because I beleive in the existence of a devine entity, but mankind has bastardized the teachings of every prophet since the beginning of time for their own financial gain, or in some cases for their own perverted desires. I mean really, look at the Spanish inquisition, or the burning and drowning of witches.

Great choice, if you drown, well you werent a witch, but you are dead anyway. If you live, you are a witch, so you get burned at the stake. Talk about a catch 22.

I am amazed that God continues to put up with humans at all. From the posts I read here and elsewhere, Humans as a whole are becoming more graceless, less tolerant, and more ignorant by the hour, and technology is making it worse not better. How many times have you seen the words to, too, and two misused lately??? Grammer 101 right? but as long as you spell it right the spell checker dosent pick it up so it must be correct, right?

I’d rather have a Muslum president than a Mormon. Few Americans know about this “CULT”. No mormon would ever fight for America unless FORCED to by draft. In Vietnam no soldier would ever fight alongside a mormon. If wounded, no mormon would come to your aid. I saw this personally. Mitt was a draft dodger, who spent the war years in a French castle.

You must be a masochist, you always stick around for the abuse.-CC.

      • John

        Flashy,
        Yes and no.
Fox is a very interesting phenomena in news broadcasting.
On one hand, Murdoch is conservative and FOX news is tailoring the interests of this news outlet toward the conservative/ republican viewers with quite a slant and by twisting the news just enough to fall within its agenda. Do they lie? Of course they do, just as all other news outlets lie and twist facts just enough to appease its viewers and to get the highest ratings. Ratings are money..and FOX News is not in the business to be patriotic or tell the truth but to make money pure and simple.
News is and always was dependent on the view point. Anything that happens in this world can be presented from several different viewpoints and all of them can be actually right although they say something totally different. If you look at different news stations, you will see that the basic of all news is always the same but the ideology to present them is different. As an example take a Muslim suicide bombing. Station A will say: there was a terrorist suicide bombing that claimed X casualties. Station B will say: There was a Muslim suicide bombing that claimed X casualties, and station C will say: today one of our martyrs made a statement that destroyed X unbelievers….. All 3 stations are 100% right within their own ideology and perspective.

Now, here is the twist to this though.

Fox News is also owned by the Saudi Wahhabi Muslims. A sect of Islam that is enemies not only with the Shia Muslims (Iran and others) but also has enemies within the Sunni Muslims (such as Pakistan ,Saddam’s Iraq and others. They use FOX news as a propaganda tool to vilify the rest of the Muslim world. And thus FOX gets a double win in its rating. They get the conservatives / republicans that they pander to, and they get the independent and part of the left that is afraid of Muslims.
It is a very interesting Business model (

      • Jay

John, you stated: Fox News is also owned by the Saudi Wahhabi Muslims.

John, this is news to me. I’ve searched to confirm your statement, but was unsuccessful. Can you post a source for us that will confirm your above statement? TY

      • Flashy

Very intersting about FOX. FOX has consistently been rated as having the most uninformed and misinformed viewership of any network…

Yes, I’d want the source for that ownership interest as well.

      • John

Prince Alwaleed bin Talal al-Saud of Saudi Arabia, through his Kingdom Holding Company, owns 7% of News Corp.’s shares, making Kingdom Holdings the second largest shareholder.[34][35][36]

Simple search on the internet.. search for Saudi ownership of Fox news.

      • Flashy

(guffaw) Hear that mass groan in the background? That’s from the extremist right posters as they realize you just provided me future reference. LOL …

Hokayyy…now what was that you guys were saying about muslims brainwashing by flooding the viewing public with misinformation to divide this nation and bring it down?

      • John

        Flashy,
If anyone would do a detailed research on the Saudi investments in the US they would find that they have very large shares sometimes controlling shares in many companies we would considering US companies. Shave in the morning using a Gillette razor or other Proctor & Gamble product? You just made the Prince richer, Buy your kids a snack at McDonald’s? Saudi Arabia thanks you, buy a Ford vehicle? Saudi Arabia just made money, Drink a coke or consume a coke product? The price said thank you, watch Fox news via Time Warner Cable…His majesty is thankful to you…and the list goes on. Many economists openly call the prince the front man for other Saudi factions. He is an interesting person to study.

Flashy says “Very intersting about FOX. FOX has consistently been rated as having the most uninformed and misinformed viewership of any network”.

If every commuter got only one other person to ride with them to work, it would cut traffic in half. The problem, as I see it is that we Americans are spoiled beyond beleif. We are so spoiled that we cannot see that we are destroying the very air we breathe and water we drink with this damn petroleum addiction. There are several simple things that could be done, but until it hurts enough in the wallet no one will do them. What about staggered start and quitting times? What about working from home??? Since we are probably the best connected country in the world, why do we have to travel an hour or so to work just to be connected to the same web we connect to at work???? Really stupid if you think about it.

    • dave

The only person sabbatoging anything related to energy independence in this country is ovomit and his mignions who have blockaded every effort to to be energy independent and he continues to scam the american people with his solyndra style money laundering operations under the guise of green energy companies!!

      • Brian Schultz

        oh dave,

please refer to my other replys-… Obama and or any President CAN NOT get anything done when the congress spends more time, no ALL of its time playing Republican vs. Democrat…THE POINT IS THEY ARE ELECTED INTO OFFICE TO WORK FOR US THE CITIZENRY OF THE UNITED STATES….. NOT SPECIAL INTERESTS AND OR BIG MONEY…. UNTIL THAT IS RESOLVED THERE WILL BE NO FIXING AMERICA AND IT IS REDUNDANT (AND STUPID I MIGHT ADD) TO BLAME THE PRESIDENT FOR ALL OF OUR WOES!!!

      • Honestly

This president does his best to bypass Congress as often as he can.

      • Brian Schultz

Technically, the last 22 presidents have bypassed congress as much as possible…. It would seem to me that the only time anything (good or bad) happens politically in this country is when a president bypasses congress.

It seems an oxymoron but it would appear that that is the only way to get things done. does anyone else see the fact that congress can’t do anything for THE PEOPLE when they spend the whole time in office fighting bipartisan games…

My open letter to congress and/ or the president would be quite simple:
GET OFF YOUR ARSSES AND GET SOMETHING DONE FOR THE PEOPLE YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO WORK FOR US….

        DIsgustedly signed,

One of YOUR EMPLOYERS; A CITIZEN of These UNITED STATES

      • DaveH

That’s what we elected them to do, Brian. We want them to stop the lawless thieving Liberals from helping themselves to our money, taking our Freedom, and ruining our country.
If you want to see stoppage just watch what happens when the Conservatives try to roll back the size of our Leviathan Government. Oh, but that’s okay because it’s what you Liberals want.

      • DaveH

How can Obama get anything done, Brian? This didn’t seem to stop him:
        http://www.cato-at-liberty.org/obamas-gulf-moratorium-blocked/

      • Brian Schultz

        DAve,
please define “lawless, thieving, liberals…. stealing our money” I guess I am lost with these definitions as they don’t appear to me to be the ones I learned…. I guess I didn’t know that Ronnie Rayguns and the Bush’s Squared were ‘liberals’ actually I thought they were conservative.

Is it Lawless thieving liberals that are Spending Billions of dollars on the military Machine?

Who exactley are the thieving liberals that are trying to take away the Social Security Funds that I have been donating to for upwards of 40 years in hopes of having a small stipend to help me survive in retirement….. It seems to me that definitions are off kilter here because from what i see it is the “conservative” Republicans that are doing the damage.

Please find me examples from our countries history where the Democrats social projects have bankrupted us (If you can…. I however can show that the republican “war Mongers” waste our money without even thinking about it.)

Perhaps everyone should take note as I have that it is funny how many people want to blame the current administration for our woes. The ‘FACT” of the matter is that we were headed down this dark corridor of being Broke WAY BEFORE Obama came into office….. that people, is how politics work……lets make Obama the scapegoat for Bush Jr.s and cheneys rambunxious troublemaking……. then we won’t get anything done this term….. then the next president can take the Blame for Obama getting nothing done- the next president taking his share of the blame for the previous and so on, and so on, and so on……

I apologize for stating a starkly simple truth here but if one takes an UNBIASED (meaning not republican or Democratic bullcrap) look at the recent US history it is easy to see that:

Republicans take control of the government- The people are forgotten about, Millioneirs get richer, Big Business gets Bigger, the working class goes broke trying to keep food on the table, Domestic programs get cut due to ‘budget constraints’ But the military machine looms ever larger and spends 850 dollars on a 12 dollar toilet seat, Buys 10thousand 16dollar clawhammers for 86dollars each, and the US deficit (or Debt in common terms) grows larger.

Then Democrats take over: spend 3/4 of their time trying to fix the republican caused deficit, Repairing social programs (because after all, the government is supposed to work for us people aren’t they?) setting up programs (like FDR’s Job Program for instance, conservation corps, Americorps etc…) to try to get America working again…. Yes they spend money too but the difference is that they are spending money trying to make America a better place where EVERYONE can live… NOT on a war Machine used to police the world and try to ‘convince all that our way is the right way… then the republicans do some mudslinging…

And then the whole circle starts over again……..

and the only ones that really suffer are the lower and middle class WORKERS who built this country in the first place.

but Iguess this is enough as none of you people really listen or will do anything to make a difference anyway…. you will just keep making nonsensical arguments to spout ‘YOUR truth’ and Badmouth people that don’t think the way you do…

I for one am looking for someplace safe to take my family to get away from all of this and ride out the APOCOlYPSE that is looming….. I am thinking tropical, Equitorial, and surrounded by trees to filter out poisons…. and I know that salvation isn’t in the US… that is for sure, not with all of you as neighbors (which in itself is another oxymoron because I lived in the midwest when the idea of neighbor and neighborhood died and fences were put up to keep the neighbors out- oh yes… by the way Ronnie Rayguns was president at that time.

      • Brian Schultz

        wow DAve,
First, I don’t consider myself Liberal or Conservative, Anti christian or anything like that…I myself choose to disregard all that rhetorical crap.

I consider myself a Hardworking, Born and Bred American (who can trace my roots back to Not only one of the Men who originally bought MAnhatten Islend from thenatives but also to the chippewa Indian Nation of the midwest).

My bad for incorrectly (apparently) assuming that I/ we elect our congress to be OF THE PEOPLE/FOR THE PEOPLE and work for us. I will even say work for me. However, anyone that is not blind can see that “our” government does not work for us, They work for Big money, Special interests, and themselves.

All of the Road taxes and a good percentage of all booze taxes were earmarked for sustaining our infrastructure- yet our roads and highways are crumbling…. how did that happen?

People pay city taxes and property taxes to maintain our schools- yet our education system has crumbled- how did that happen.

All of the industrial Machine of the US (except the military industrial complex) has been given away to foreign countries- even telemarketing- putting all of our middle/ lower class workers on the street and making them struggle to make sure they have milk for their kids. How did that happen?

      • Flashy

        Yo Mr. Lee;

Timothy McVeigh was a christian, Eric Rudolph was a christian, Ted Kaczynski, the Unabomber was a christian. Charles Manson is chrsitian. And on and on.

I believe it was Reagan, as he tried to legitmize US funding of the Contra butchers, who stated…”‘One man’s terrorist is another man’s freedom fighter.”

When Waco, Ruby Ridge, the Weathermen, the Red Brigade, the IRA, Baader Meinhoff, etc were in vogue…were you in the front lines crying out for justice against “radical fundementalist christians” ?

Fact of the matter is…it’s not religion except as christian fear mongerers want it to be. It’s the region. We work to eliminate once and for all the influence of oil in our economy…we diminish the region and walk away…and voila! no more ME terrorist issues for us to worry about except to protect Israel.

      • cawmun cents

The name Barack Obama probably doesnt sound Islamic, but you may need an interpreter.
The difference is that there is no evidence that you can bring that any of these other folks that you speak of was a Christian.
There is however evidence that Barry Soetoro went to a Madras in Indonesia as a youth.
That satify your question there Flashy?
There is a reason that the Democrats picked a Jackass for their symbol, and you seem to be a prime example of that reason.

I see…though they say they are of the christian faith, because you say they aren’t, they aren’t.

BTW CC, that Madras lie is just that. a lie. That has been so disproven to state it as anything but a lie is lying.

      • Dntmkmecmoverther

to Flashy: You are full of pure BS. Neither McVeigh, Rudolph nor Ted Kaczynski were Christian. They had anarchist minds at best. Kaczynski was a follower or admirer of Freud; hardly Christian. You must be a complete dunce or just a big liar.

Errr….have you read the Unabomber’s Manifesto? And BTW…Eric Rudolph not only set off bombs at the Olympics, he also bombed abortion clinics and made constant reference to his “christian beliefs”.

Flashy, I haven’t gone back to check this out but I seem to remember when bush refused to brand Arafat as a terrorist! I think he said something to the effect that he considered Arafat a man trying to the best he could for his people.Obviously that didn’t play well in Israel but bush must have been trying to win himself one of those Peace thingies like Jimmy! Didn’t happen so he went back to being incompetent!

    • Karolyn

Are you kidding? Blacks are overwhelmingly Christian in this country!

      • cawmun cents

According to Flashman,R.Smith, and many of the other detractors of Christianity on this blog,That would be like saying the Balck people are delusional.
Do I need to throw the race card,or will you tell them Karolyn?
        -CC.

      • Flashy

CC…to be precise, I am a detractor of organized religious cults. They serve no purpose other than divide, create conflict, and are a means invented to rule the masses.

      • Dntmkmecmoverther

You are simply ignorant beyond a definition.

      • DaveH

You belong to one of those cults, Flashman, the cult of Liberalism. It is actually worse than most Religious belief systems because it has proven to be a failure in Countries who have tried it, time after time. Yet the Liberals keep the faith, Hoping and Dreaming that doing the same thing over and over again will somehow result in a different outcome next time.

      • DaveH

And talk about conflict, imagine how much more peaceful this country would be if Big Government wasn’t trying to legislate putting square pegs in round holes? One size does not fit all, and never will, but the Liberal Religion will keep on trying.
Some day the blindered Liberal followers will awaken and realize that the Leaders are just using them for their votes. Once they achieve absolute power there will be no further need for the “useful idiots”. Those who have no skills after years of being on the dole will be the first to go.

      • John

Dave, you need to learn the difference between a religion and a political ideology, a dictionary or a search on the internet will help you with that. This is the second time today that I see you making this type of declaration, first people that consider them self Christians are suddenly not Christian anymore because YOU say so.
And now a political ideology is suddenly a religion because YOU say so… next you will declare black is really white and white is really black and we all better believe it because YOU say so….. right?

      • DaveH

John says “first people that consider them self Christians are suddenly not Christian anymore because YOU say so”.
Where did I say that, John?
And Liberalism sure is a religion. It’s a belief system based on faith not facts, just like any religion. I don’t know why that’s so hard for you to understand.

      • John

DaveH too many Dave’s, sorry,,, but still go do some research on political doctrine and the difference between a religion and a political ideology… the notion that liberalism depends on faith is nonsense ..its a cop-out just as any liberal could say conservatism is based on faith what of course is pure nonsense to. There is no established school of thought that is considering either liberalism or conservatism or even atheism a religion…besides some loon websites on the internet or the drug addicted shock jock on AM radio both who are totally inconsequential in the long run.

      • dave

        That is simply blatantly false!!!!!!!

      • Blue Devil

Karolyn — You left out a word! Blacks in this country are overwhelmingly PROFESSING Christians. Are you old enough to remember the Watts riots? I was there!

      • Karolyn

Semantics. Being Christian is in the eyes of the person professing to be one. Many would argue that many are not “true” Christians because of “blah-blah-blah,” however, what matters is what is in one’s own mind. I have seen people argue that Catholics are not Christians. I know that if you talked to any Catholics, they would get pretty po’d if anyone said that to them. The same goes for Muslims.

      • Blue Devil

Karolyn — For the record, Karolyn, I AM Catholic!

      • DaveH

Muslims are not Christians, Karolyn. They believe that Christ was a messenger of God, not his son.

      • Karolyn

        I know that, Dave!

      • Karolyn

Blue – And? I WAS Catholic!

    • John

The latest statistics (an easy search away) show clearly that Blacks were an estimated 9,7% of the US population in 2010. In 2010 all the Muslims in the US accounted for ~.98% of the population. This includes whites, Muslims of Asian decent, Muslims of mid east decent, and blacks.
So, how you can claim that the majority of blacks is Muslim is not quite clear to me, unless you are speaking from blind fear and are making up stuff like so many others. One thing that is missing on this forum are facts…too many people repeat hearsay or what they read on some whack website that has an agenda.

Want American oil? Nationalize; otherwise let oil companies get their own oil to sell, not my problem and certainly not my children’s problem.

If you want us to fight for oil, quit gouging us with high prices.

    • http://mozilla Robert E. Lee

Wallace;; how about getting your Kenyan potus to allow drilling and slacking instead of spending your tax dollars on subsidizing an energy policy agenda that is killing the jobs/economy;; it is your problem and it will be your children’s and grand-children’s unless your a riding a CAMEL.

      • Flashy

Mr. Lee….you do realize domestic oil production has risen don’t you? And the number one export is fuel?

Now if you want to discuss getting what we have left, the hard to get oil from the ground, we can. Let’s discuss fracking and water pollution and earthquakes. Let’s discuss ripping communities to shreds by unsightly dangerous wells and land use violations. Let’s discuss oil shale and the slag left behind for the community to clean up afterwards.

Above all…let’s discuss oil addiction and where, even if we somehow someway ever become delf sufficient on this outmoded, growth limiting, money draining energy source … what of the rest of the world and our reliance on the global economy being sound and working well?

you want to stay on hydrocarbons? Fine…then gripe about the oil compaies patenting the technology for hydrocarbonjs from wood cellulose and instead of building technology and conducting research into more effiency, they are willing to pay the legilsative mandated fines for not using fuels from this source. And you can also gripe about Big Oil buying and holding the patents for a high temperature ceramic engine which would burn grain alcohol at an efficient mpg.

And you can wonder why a) none of this is publicized nor spoken about in Congress and b) if big Oil is keeping these patents safely undeveloped because wood fiber and means of making grain alcohol are not under their control being as available everywhere as they are.

Fact is fact, no matter how much you want to ignore it. Staying addicted to coal and oil as our main energy source is not in our natrional security interests nor in our economic interests.

You want to be delusional and feel all warm and fuzzy when told by a politican paid by Big Oil or by a Big Oil front that continued reliance on oil and coal is? Be my guest. I can’t stop you from being a fool.

Think on this. Right now, the PacNW has too much electricity being generated. to the point that the BPA has mandated the windfarms to at times stop generation because there isn’t enough demand to clear room on the grid for it. We could be shipping this electricy to California and alleviate the shortages there, drop their prices etc etc. But because of decades of neglect, the grid to send it down there isn’t modernized and unable to take any more load. We could be building huge farm in the Central plains…but there is no grid available.

Currently, our major cities are losing 10 billion (that’s with a “b”) of driking water due to aged infrastrucre and leakages. Atlanta is losing up to 13% each day because of neglected infrastructure.

Our highways, freeways and bridges are a travesty. Check out your local area…bet you have dilapidated dangerous bridges and roads which aren’t being repaired.

You want to really start fixing America? Then start fixing it. mor grid capacity, more permanent sources of production, bettr roads and infrastructure…THAT is the means of getting away from foreign oil. Don’t continue to be unpatriotic, unAmerican, and working for foreign interests by ranting and raving about turning it backwards.

Sorry not true. Our oil production in this country was at its highest in 1971 at around 9mmm barrels. That is now down to just above 5mmm. That’s NOT and increase but a huge decrease. And it has gone down farther since obummer came to his reign.

      • Flashy

Didn’t say highest…said increased. Check the CIA World factbook. Under this administration, production of oil has increased.

      • DaveH

Flashy, as I said you need to cite references because your credibility is Nada on this site.

You can rant all you want about big oil, you can lick all you want the green group’s asses, but the fact remains that if we as a country don’t stop eating so much manure, we are to lose our ability to defend ourselves and administer our own country. Solutions have nothing to do with the stupid partisanship that permeates the American mind nowadays. It is time to grow up.

      • Brian Schultz

Holy crap…. Defend our country???? with the exception of 9-11 we havn’t defended our country since forever ago…. how is imposing our military might around the world defending our country??? are you really that blind? if we were defending our country we wouldn’t have let the republicans give away our Manufacturing infrastucture for the sake of money (by the way, this backfired because now the American middle class is out of work…. Note to the rich and powerful: maybe it is time to remember that the reason you are so rich in the first place is the AMERICAN WORKERS that built your empires.

If we were DEFENDING our country Our Infrastructure would not be suffering- sorry not suffering- DESTROYED… look out your window and see the crumbling streets, bridges, highways, and public facilities…. Here is an old thought- instead of spending Billions and Billions of our TAx dollars Policing the world and Imposing our “way of Life” on others (which is another joke because as mentioned before we AMERICANS no longer can afford a way of life- peaceful and happy anyway- I don’t count going to work our bodies to the bone just to buy milk and eggs and maybe heat our homes as living), may be a little should be earmarked for the Infrastructure (but lets waste time blaming that on the President too) An M1 Abrams Tank ( the most powerful and advanced Tank in the world) costs 10′s of Millions of dollars per- the rest of the world will take 20 years to catch up to that level of technology ( oh yes, they don’t spend money on R&D we just sell them our old out of date crap) but yet we are spending Millions of dollars researching more powerful tanks… that makes tons of sense when I can look out and see homeless kids without shoes and food.

If we were DEFENDING our country we would be making sure our Kids are getting a good education… I wonder if all the blowhards can figure out that you can’t give kids a good education when you cut funding to schools, fire all the teachers (hey do you people realize that the professional qualifications for teachers are far more complex than even doctors…. do you realize that the teaching profession is by far the MOST UNDERPAID, benefit imbalanced profession with the highest standards and STRESS of all professions….. It used to be that parents were responsible for their children and would be punished for disobedience or insubordination… Now our underpaid teachers cannot even tell a parent that their child is causing trouble- the teacher will be punished and/ or censored)… Brilliant way to keep our childrens’ educations up to par with the rest of the world.

If we were DEFENDING our Country we would make sure that the Hard Working Americans are being taken care of…. why has the cost of goods and services continued to rise-scratch that, and replace with “gone through the roof’ since the 70′s but the wages have stayed the same (and I’m not talking about the ‘False hope’ of Minimum Wage because most Hard Working Americans Haven’t had anything to do with Minimum Wage since they were teenagers with their first jobs ( oh yeah, and those Hard Working Americans that worked their whole lives to build a comfortable retirement that were destroyed by the economic downfall of America and had to rejoin the workforce AT MINIMUM WAGE!!!!)

I could go on but what is the point really, No one in government really wants to fix the problems of the masses… they would rather spend four years at a time with Bipartisan rhetoric and keep getting their checks…. (funny when the economy tanked I didn’t see any uber-rich Congressman/women offer to give back the money they have put in their bank accounts (I specifically don’t say earned because last I checked they were supposed to be working for US, THE CITIZENRY)….

Oh yes, one more query that I would like answered- WHEN MY TAX DOLLARS WERE SPENT IN THE ‘GREAT BAILOUT’ OF THE BANKS/ AUTO MAKERS, WHY WERE THE BIGWIGS ALLOWED TO WRITE THEMSELVES 10 MILLION DOLLAR BONUS CHECKS???? I myself have worked for companies that had Bonus/ incentives but usually one had to Earn the Bonus- usually through positive productive performance. If you allowed your bank to go under how do you justify a bonus check for yourself???

We didn’t defend our country on 9-11. That was the issue…Bush/Cheney were either negligent, incompetent, or ….

      • Flashy

Brian..I did. I as just commenting on your one statement i disagreed with. “with the exception of 9-11 we havn’t defended our country since forever ago…” i was correcting just that one comment. Our country was not defended on 9-11…that was the issue of how a bunch of thugs and criminals took down the WTC … Bush/Cheney admin ignored warnings, missed connecting dots, trusted the taliban in Afghanistan (true…Bush renewed aid to Afghanistan in July of ’01. Aid which Clinton had cut off)…

The rest of your post I had no major disagreement with …

        Sorry for the confusion…

      • DaveH

Why do you bother to go on at great lengths with your unsupported statements, Flashman, when you know you have no credibility at this site?
It would behoove you to make far fewer claims and actually support those with references since you have been proven to be a liar so many times.

Here’s one I think is an outright lie from Flashman:
“And you can also gripe about Big Oil buying and holding the patents for a high temperature ceramic engine which would burn grain alcohol at an efficient mpg”.
If you’re going to make such outlandish claims, Flashman, back them up with references (if you can).

      • Flashy

About ceramic engines or the patent holders of the more feasible designs? Ceramic engines can easily be found throughout many sites…I suggest beginning with Wikipedia and going from there. I’ll have to search around to locate the article(s) I have saved on patents. I guaranty you Dave..it won’t be Mises, and i’ll have read it. More than you can say …

      • DaveH

Who are you kidding, Flashman? It certainly isn’t me. And I doubt that it is most of the other readers. They’ve seen your fabricated facts, lies, and personal attacks enough to know you have no credibility.
The idiotic idea that a company would forgo billions of dollars of sales, when in fact it would take a decade or more to fully saturate just the wealthy US market with the wonder engines, just to sell more oil, is ludicrous to say the least.
Also they’d be passing up half a billion of Free Taxpayer subsidies awarded to uneconomical “Green” companies.
Only an ignorant Liberal can buy into such nonsense.

      • DaveH

Flashy says “Our highways, freeways and bridges are a travesty. Check out your local area…bet you have dilapidated dangerous bridges and roads which aren’t being repaired”.
So, what’s your solution, Flashman? More Government? We already have more than at any other time in our History except World War II.

      • Flashy

I dunno Dave, I tend to be of the mind to replace and repair. If it were you, I figure you’d say “let ‘em fall down” …

      • Kinetic1

American workers need jobs. Our infrastructure needs to be addressed. Is it so hard to accept the idea of our government hiring American workers to to do what needs to be done? Many of these people are collecting welfare, food stamps and medicare. Why not pay them a decent wage and give them the ability to support themselves? Not only will we have an improved and modernized nation, but the wages of the workers will translate into increased public spending and help turn the economy around.

      • Brian Schultz

I didn’t really want to jump on the bash Flashy bandwagon BUT>>>>

If you are going to quote references please use one that is reliable…. It is common knowledge that Wikipedia is NOT a RELIABLE source for information…. any ‘pedia’ that allows you to go in and change or edit an definition to suit your needs cannot be used as a reference…… For gosh sakes I went to wiki to see why the sky is blue and it said “because I said so”…lol

      • Flashy

Brian…I believe I suggested starting with Wiki “and going from there”.

Wiki is not always reliable, for the most part it is…and it is almost always a good starting point for reference material …

      • DaveH

Kinetic says “Why not pay them a decent wage and give them the ability to support themselves?”. Because, Kinetic, that money comes from somebody else (the Private Sector) who would have made more efficient use of the money than Government does (by far).

      • DaveH

        Kinetic,
You seem a cut above the average ignorant Liberal, so why don’t you educate yourself by reading this book:
        http://www.amazon.com/How-Capitalism-Saved-America-Pilgrims/dp/1400083311/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1326313989&sr=8-1

That is assuming of course that you aren’t in the Political Class and feathering your own nest at the rest of our expense.

      • DaveH

        Brian,
Feel free to dispute Wikipedia’s facts. I welcome that.

      • Kinetic1

        DaveH,
Part of our pact with the government, State or Fed, you choose is that they maintain the nation’s infrastructure. The taxes added to our gas are supposed to be there for highway maintenance. Our property taxes pay for public schools. Are you suggesting that we should privatize our infrastructure?

      • DaveH

Flashman says “Fact is fact, no matter how much you want to ignore it. Staying addicted to coal and oil as our main energy source is not in our natrional security interests nor in our economic interests”.
Get it straight, Flashman, it’s not in “your interests”. Leave the rest of us out of your illogical pronouncements.

      • Barbara

Digesting all these pathetic communist comments makes me think that if I were you I wouldn’t insult my intelligence engaging these nit wits.

      • Flashy

I was going to respond in depth…but if y’all think that staying reliant on oil and coal is a good thing for our economy and our national security…there’s not much anyone can do for you. May I suggest you consider a white coat with arms that buckle tight, a sound proof room with gentle music, and deep therapy …

      • DaveH

Sure you were, Flashman. How can you go in-depth with such a shallow mind? If you had any in-depth knowledge you wouldn’t need to resort to the personal attacks.

      • Mike in MI

        My-oh-mee, fleshman -
Your “in-depth” hasn’t never ever altered any surface tension yet. So, why tease us with greasy-kid-stuff that can break wind, but never do anything except skip across the reflection of a true discussion.

      • Kdee

The PNW does not have an excess in electricity, the new wind farms were poorly planned. They built them with out building the power grid to support them. They assumed they could use the existing grid used by the dams. They didn’t do their homework so they failed to realize that when the dams are producing power the grid it’s filled to capacity. This means the wind farms me must be shut down since the grid belongs to the dams in the first place. Also, the hydroelectric power is way less expensive!

      • Flashy

Ummm..the hydropower fills up the grid and the BPA cannot take any more current. They tell the producing wind generators to shut down because the grid can’t handle the additional electrical output.

There are no blackouts in the NW from lack of power. PGE can shut down Boardman and not affect the supply.

And wasn’t it last week the BPA was saying if it had the grid to California, it could send significantly more power down there and thus no need toshut down the wind farms?

Hmmm..seems the lack of a modern expanded grid is the issue. And there wouldn’t be any excess to send south if the PacNW wasn’t awash in power now would there …

      • Mike in MI

Oh-h-h-hoh, fleshman – check it out, for your own enlightenment:
Under oblama-lama-ding-dong, is there any chance someone took up where ENRON left off…in libertine prograssive-illiterate, ignorant, unteachablely dull-witted Kalee-porn-itch-ya? Endrun sucked ‘em dry. Surely, any other halfwit could pre-pay fur a floop-pole.

Who gave you permission to talk? The only difference between you and Obama is that he gets to sleep with Joe Biden

      • CP

Don’t believe anyone NEEDS permission to talk, at least not yet. Sounds like you would love old Uncle Joe and his gang, as you had to have permission to fart, let alone talk. under his rule.

  • Beel

Both Bush 41 and Bush 43 were pretty cozy with the Saudis too. Let’s not forget that. Bush 41 was also a big believer in “The New World Order”. Something else that everyone wants to forget.

    • http://comcast JimBob

You’re correct that both Bush’s were (as you put it, cozy) with the Saudis. But remember, the whole amorous affair began with demorat Truman and continued on to the present (in case you missed it, there was a huge weapons sale to the Saudi’s just this month, hardly attributable to Bush II). Carter and Clinton certainly did nothing to distance America from the Saudis. To get a better picture of what Mr. Myers has offered here, read Cal Thomas’ column yesterday titled: America Retreats On Islam and you will have a good understanding of why we need to become energy independant. I don’t mean switch grass fueled cars. I mean coal, oil and gas that we have in abundance and this crack-crazed administration won’t let us access.

      • Western Beef Producer

Very strong good statement re no access to resources needed by this country due to Obama administration agenda to force green energy. All administrations have worked with UN programs to the detriment of this country. Our western states with the most federal lands and minerals are under assault. Former Sec. of Interior James Watt said words to the effect of “You don’t have to go to Russia to see the failure of communism, just visit any Indian reservation in US.”

      • NC

JimBob, somebody is accessing it! We are currently EXPORTING 117 million gallons of fuel a day!Our number one export. How much more do WE NEED when we are subsidizing the shipment to foreign lands!

Something tells me getting the subsidies cut or pressure put on the oil companies to lower pump prices will be a hard sell with the Republican controlled house since “a$$ kissing of oil companies” has been a part of the Republican platform ever since Henry Ford drove his firt car off the line.

      • Flashy

And producing more oil than anytime this century, at least (the chart I quickly viewed was only back to 2000).

Wait … I thought in reading here on this site day after day that over regulation, curtailment of oil permits, ban on off-shore drilling, etc etc has killed our oil production?

    • Flashy

Bush II held hands with the Shiek ( a major sign of obeyance), obeyed the orders to let the Saudi family be the only planes to fly out of the US 9/11-12, and went to war to protect Oil and the sheikdoms.

Did i hear any of the wacked right yell and scream then?

The only time the wacked will care about a policy is when it’s not their own warped “going backwards’ ideal. They obey when told to obey, they belive what they are told to believe…no matter how outlandish and weird. And they are led via fear and hate.

      • cawmun cents

        Tell the truth Flashy.
Holding hands is a cultural thing to do in Islam.
Not only is it okay to do in Islamic culture, you will often see men strolling down the streets holding hands with each other.
        I

      • cawmun cents

It is not a sign of obeyance, rather of friendship.
Of course you may have known that as fact, but if you did not then I suspect that you will get fifty lashes from your brutal cultural dominatrix, when you arrive home.Or prehaps you will go strolling down the street holding his hand.Either way its a loss for you in this debate.

  • wallace torbert, Phenix City, Al

Not my problem about energy. The American iterests is a misnomer, rather international corporate interests. My job is to buy gas and hopefully we will have some competition on fuels one day.

The oil companies problem is to get their product to sell, gouge, me with, not my problem.

You want us to fight for oil so we can be gouged by oil companies and told if we don’t like high prices we can walk? No way.

    • Old Henry

We have plenty of our own oil and should be using it. I do not understand why the governors of the several states simply do not ignor the Feds and allow drilling to begin in their own states.

If the Feds protest, simply put them in jail.

  • s c

How about offering the current prez another Nobel Peace Prize and $25 million dollars to defect to the country of his choice? I think he’s smart enough to understand what he’s doing, but he has a blind side when it comes to expecting Americans to stand by and watch an alien faith take over (bend over and smile?).
Can you readers fathom the depth of the irony of Islamic countries looking at America as the servant of the prince of darkness when the current prez 1) acts like a Muslim and 2) probably has no reason to care if he does the bidding of Islamic nations or the prince of darkness?
This is also a most unusually-warped example of ‘the enemy of my enemy is my friend.’ It gets stranger every day, doesn’t it?

      • HarryButtle

Even the people here must know this article is a delusional crock. Obama not only has been able to gain the death of Osama Bin Laden, but also 22 other top operatives in Al Qaeda. He contributed to the overthrow of Libyan dictator Moammar Gaddafi without one American troop on the ground and no combat losses, while at the same time preventing genocide. If anything, as Ron Paul has pointed out, Obama has been too aggressive in using our military. Ron Paul’s philosophy leaves him much more vulnerable to the appeasement charge.

      • Old Henry

Little Barry Soetoro, the communst Muslim foreign national, illegally bombed the most prosperous country in Africa into the Stone Age and in the process murdered thousands of inocnet men women and children. He is now personally responsible for the continued murder of thousands of men, women and children in that country by the fascist terrorists he was instrumental in putting in charge.

That alone should bring about his removal, trial and execution.

New Flash: Just about every religion in the world outside of Christianity denies the divinity of Christ, including Judaism. These faiths, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, Taoism, Confucianism, animism, etc constitute the faith systems of about three-quarters of the world’s people. None of them believe in the divinity of Christ. But Islam recognized Jesus as an important prophet, something Judaism does not.

      • John

You do understand that for the majority of people on this planet Jesus is a fraud and he means nothing to them right? Just because Christianity believes in him does not mean all others have to believe in him to. YOU don’t believe in the Hindu, Buddhist, Wicca, or Islamic God(s)(who by the way say their God(s) are the only true God(s) just as we say ourr God is the only true god) so why are you so appalled they don’t believe in yours? A little religious tolerance goes a long way. That does not mean we have to put up with the extremists and terrorists of other religions just as they don’t have to put up with our extremists.

      • Bert Cundle Sr.

For Good Cause… Jesus Christ ~ as Prazed in Religious Cults! Catholic, Or, Borne Again… Are FATH BASED!!! FACTS OPPOSE!

      • Richard Pawley

Well, Bert, it is true you must have the faith to believe before you can ever receive, but those who have come to experience Jesus in their lives, have gone beyond “faith” to knowledge. My mom past away a while back, just before she was 92, and within hours she spoke to my sister (after she had died) and said to one of my sisters, “You took care of me while I was alive, now be sure to take care of your father” who was 97 at the time. My wife’s grandmother became a Christian at a tent revival in the 1920′s and my wife was very close to her. When she died my wife was almost inconsolable until between weeping and crying, she suddenly heard her grandmother speak to her and say, “Why are you crying? You know where I’m at. Jesus himself, brought me up here, and it’s more beautiful than they ever tried to tell us, so stop crying and clean up this place” (a room full of books and paper – of mine – that needed much help sorting).

Read about what young Billy Graham saw and experienced at age ten that made him into the person he became or the best seller, PRISON TO PRAISE by Merlin Carothers.

Does any of this mean that my mom and my wife’s grandmother or Billy Graham’s grandmother are saints? No. We are all beings created by a loving father. There is so much to tell, that I couldn’t begin to do so here. All I can say is that if you have never found God you are either looking in the wrong places or you gave up way to early. A time is coming before this decade is out when everyone is going to need to have a relationship with God (the one and only) or they may not survive. You can’t earn His love but you can accept it and He can do more for you than you can do for Him. God bless you and all who read this.

      • Michael Hardesty

If you ever see it overridden you can expect from that time it will just be a matter of time until a raghead with a knife shows up at your door. He will ask you if you believe Mohammed and demand you convert. If you answer wrong the last thing you will see will be the flash of his dull, rusty blade as he commences sawing the side of your neck – so he can hear your squeals of horror and anguish.
If you convert your agnosticism/atheism will be rooted out…or else you will be buried up to your shoulders in sand in the city square and they will commence throwing stones at your face.

      • http://WeThePeople Jean

Oh I do agree with you on this one. Satan took our Christian Words about the Christ and made his prophet take profit for everything. Where our Christ preached love – his preached Death. He even said that he saw Christ on his little mind game trip. He mimed everything into a mirror image – the opposit of everything that we hold Sacred.

But, isn’t that what all the perverted people do?

Even the Homos took the Rainbow symbol that God said was his covenant with his people and used it for their registration club. So glad that you are all so conveniently listed. You have numbered yourselves – and God always warned his people not to do that

They try to soil and tarnish everything Christian, but not to worry, we should bless everyone of them. For their faith will more than keep them toasty in the coming tribulations

      • Aurelio

Sorry Ike, you fell too short, Islam is worse than a course, Islam is a mental disease, a corrosive acid that destroys the mind that harbors it. Islam, which is not a religion, is the most dangerous ideology in the whole ideological history of mankind. Muslims don’t develop psychologically as normal people do, due to the intense brainwashing that they suffer from the moment they come to the world. Muslims are repressed individuals projecting the hatred they harbor against themselves, against Islam and against their peers toward the “infidels”, this is why muslim societies are so violent, they rejoice in killing; but deep in their minds, they are killing Islam and the crap they have gone through.

      • mark

Oh so you’re a psychiatrist now? Please present you credentials.

      • Karolyn

Are you credentialed in Islamic Studies?

      • F-150

I appears that a great many disagree with your diagnosis with the mental illness of muslims, but I agree 100%. From what I have read, it is caused in part because of their centuries of in-breeding. Marriage to cousins is very commonplace and their gene pool is so contaminated that it is almost impossible to fine a clear-headed, right-thinking muslim. Their Koran does their thinking for them, and it was written by a illiterate idiot!

      • Flashy

F-150…you mean Muslims are native to W. Virginia ?

      • mark

No Karolyn, I’m NOT credentialed in Islamic Studies though I have taken university courses on the Islamic faith and on Islamic history. I have a read a good English translation of the Quran. What I do know is that the religion of Islam is not “a mental disease” as Aurelio claims, anymore than Protestantism, Catholicism, Judaism, Buddhism or Hinduism are mental diseases. I do know that and don’t require a degree in any of those faiths to make that statement. We should all respect other people’s faith traditions and not insult them by saying anyone who doesn’t worship exactly the way we do is mentally diseased. Don’t you see how wrong that is?

      • mark

F-150, oh and the Bible and the Scriptures don’t do the thinking for many Jews and Christians?

Religions that I respect honor First Principle. Islam does not. Christianity does. Individuals in each of those religions may or may not follow their religion. Thus you see that some that claim to be muslim do not plan on killing the infidel. Some that claim to be Christian do plan on killing the non-believer.

That some Muslims do not murder does not equal Islam being peaceful. That some Christians do murder does not equal Christianity being warlike.

In either case condemn the sin but love the sinner. That is the Christian way.

        ————————
        First Principle:
Your Creator gave you 2 gifts. Life and Free Will. How you use those gifts and how you honor those gifts in others is how you shall be judged.

“Individuals in each of those religions may or may not follow their religion. Thus you see that some that claim to be muslim do not plan on killing the infidel. Some that claim to be Christian do plan on killing the non-believer.”

THIS, is reasonable. THIS, is the truth…

        But then…….

“That some Muslims do not murder does not equal Islam being peaceful. That some Christians do murder does not equal Christianity being warlike.”

….You show your prejudice against that reasonable truth; that some Christian’s do not murder, does not equal Christianity being peaceful. That some Muslims do murder, does not equal Islam being warlike.

      • vicki

        TML writes:
“….You show your prejudice against that reasonable truth; that some Christian’s do not murder, does not equal Christianity being peaceful. That some Muslims do murder, does not equal Islam being warlike.”

The reasonable truth is found in the teachings. Specifically how to treat non-believers.

Christian – pray for ther souls (Matthew 5:43, 45)

Islam – Off with their heads. (Koran 47:4)

        http://www.dianedew.com/islam.htm

Kinda obvious which one is warlike. Thus my “reasonable” truths stand without prejudice.

Ike…it is refreshing to see someone tell the truth for a change…except I call islam an ideology, just like communism only a million times worse…

      • Michael Hardesty

Ike, Christianity is the biggest, most violent cult in world history.
They killed 30 million of each other in the Thirty Years War just in Germany and Holland. Up till 1945 Christians were slaughtering Christians on a mass scale in Europe and in the 90s Christians started slaughtering Muslims in Bosnia as well as each, Croats v. Serbs.
        Stop your neoconman agit-prop.

      • Kate8

M H – Holy cow. It seems that your history books have neglected to point out that Islam was slaughtering its way through Europe, bent on ridding the Earth of the Infidel and conquering in the name of Allah.

The Christians finally fought back. Yet, no one has a problem with Muslims determination to claim the world for Sharia.

        Selective outrage.

      • Deborah Donnison

To Old Henry…funny you should mention “fascist terrorists” because that is who is trying to take over this country. I call them ‘Fascist Tea Party Terrorists’. They are trying their best to install fascism here in the US and they must be stopped. A late President once said that Fascism will slowly creep into this country when no one is looking. We must be diligent, keep one eye peeled and stop it before it can take a foot hold. But oopps, too late. It’s already here.

      • vicki

Deborah Donnison. You can make up definitions all you like. However the painfully obvious truth is that the Tea Party can not possibly be facist because they want SMALLER government. Facism is a philosipy of totatilarians where the governemnt controls ALL aspects of national life. This would necessarilly require a much BIGGER government thus your made up definition is shown to be wholy your illogical opinion.

You are welcome to it but please stop trying to demonize people using it.

“fascism (făsh`ĭzəm), totalitarian philosophy of government that glorifies the state and nation and assigns to the state control over every aspect of national life.”

    • JCfromDC

He says in his own writings that if the “political winds” shift toward Islam, then that’s where he’ll go. Isn’t that something like TREASON? What about upholding and defending the Constitution, and swearing an oath to do the same as president?

      • John

Where does it say in the constitution that a Muslim can not be president?

      • Kate8

John – I’ll bet you are one of those strict “separation of church and state” people, too.

Well, being that Islam isn’t just a religion, but a political ideology, which doesn’t recognize separation of religion and government (check out Sharia), I can’t imagine that any sane person could accept a Muslim as president of the US. (Yet, you do.)

Islam demands that Islam come before all else. It is absolutely diameterically opposed to our Constitution and values of freedom and governance by the people (as are most of those in DC, apparently). I mean, just look at what Obama is doing! He’s instituting Islam by stealth in America.

What’s more, it’s just been reported that there are 35 KNOWN Islamic terrorist training camps operating in the United States alone. It is also known that their only reason for existance is invasion of America, and the murder of Americans. They kidnap, hold hostage, and commit all manner of mayhem without fear of interference from our guv, and they are just getting started…

Doesn’t anyone think it a bit ironic that these terrorists are allowed to function freely on American soil, and yet American citizens who speak out about upholding the Constitution are being labeled as terrorists…ememies of the state?

WHAT THE H*LL IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE!!!!

      • NC

Kate8, it’s people like you that is “what the h*ll is wrong” with people like us. The citizens of this country who really believe that the founding fathers, with pen in hand, could have included or excluded any religion they chose from the government. You would think if they wanted Christians to have an upper hand they would have at least excluded the deniers of Christ, the Jews. Not only did they not do that they went on to say that any future congress could not exclude them or any other group.
Don’t you just hate it when you don’t get to say how we are going to do things? It’s enough to pi$$ off the Pope!! Right???

      • John

        Kate8,
And what has your rant to do with my question? On the one site, people here cry constantly about upholding the constitution but when there is something that does not chive with their vision and agenda then the constitution becomes meaningless. Fact is, there is NO absolute NO prohibition in our constitution against a Muslim president period. And I do NOT care about any of the excuses and stories you tell that would make a Muslim in YOUR EYES not eligible to be president. According to the constitution, a person of ANY faith or political ideology can be the president as long as he upholds the constitution and the constitution is the law period. To the constitution it does NOT mater if you have a dislike for Muslims or not, in fact, if you read what our founding fathers had to say about them you will find that they did NOT care either. I am not a Muslim lover or a promoter of any religion over the other…it is everyone own decision as to what he / she wants to believe… but simply said, saying Obama is a Muslim and thus not qualified to be the president is simply unconstitutional period.

      • Kate8

NC and John – As long as we continue this suicidal addiction to political correctness, refusing to face reality, we will continue to descend into oblivion.

Thank God not everyone is as gullible as you two.

I mean…yikes…we DO have a Muslim (usurper)president. And just look at where we’re going.

How can you defend the indefensible? How can you, on one hand, say it’s okay to have a Muslim president, but recoil in horror at the idea of a Christian one?

We don’t have the country we want, but the country we deserve.

Our founders also required that anyone coming to America become American. That means accept our language and culture. America was not built on Islamic culture! It was you Progs who decided to drop that requirement, and encourage people to retain their original languages and cultures, allowing them to feed at the American trough while detesting our values and way of life.

        Way to go, guys.

      • John

        Kate8,
As I said, you don’t like it change the constitution, but until you do live with it. The constitution is written to be the word of law for all even if you don’t like what it said. If you hate the constitution of this country and thus this country much that you openly declare that it should not follow the constitution because YOU don’t like it giving the same freedoms to Muslims as to all others then you have only 3 real choices, 1st, change it…get enough like minded people and try to change this country into a christian theocracy..something totally different from what our forefathers envisioned..and lets face it, that is what you essentially propose right? turn this country into a Christian version of Iran where only what you and your followers say is the law and the hell with everyone else. 2nd, you can just live with it like everyone else end enjoy the freedom that the constitution guaranties EVERYONE that is lawfully in this country, or 3rd take the consequences and move to a conservative country…Iran, N-Korea (one a conservative Muslim, the other a conservative communist country) come to mind all you have to do once you there is to forget about the personal freedom the constitution guaranties us in this country..

      • Mary Mohanan

end times. What is right is wrong, and what’s wrong is right.

      • Kate8

I suggest that you actually READ the Constitution. Nowhere does it say that we must accept people who hate our way of life and will seek to overthrow it.

      • JTB

Kate8 I agree with you. These other so called americans can go back to where they came from. The United States of America is not the same country it was when i was growing up and it’s idiots like NC & John who say it’s ok for us to become Islamic. If they want to live under Islamic rule then go live in that country.

      • Smilee

Obama has stated emphatically that he is a Christian, him being a Muslim is only conservative spin because his dad was a non practicing Muslim whom he hardly knew they define him as one, you think you know his heart better than him, he was also raised as a Christian. The spin here is guilt by association. Shameful in a country that professes freedom, people’s actions here speak a lot louder that their words

Actual Obama quote from “The Audacity of Hope” [pg. 261]:
“Of course, not all my conversations in immigrant communities follow this easy pattern. In the wake of 9/11, my meetings with Arab and Pakistani Americans, for example, have a more urgent quality, for the stories of detentions and FBI questioning and hard stares from neighbors have shaken their sense of security and belonging. They have been reminded that the history of immigration in this country has a dark underbelly; they need specific assurances that their citizenship really means something, that America has learned the right lessons from the Japanese internments during World War II, and that I will stand with them should the political winds shift in an ugly direction”.
        From http://www.factcheck.org/2008/06/obamas-dreams-of-my-father/

      • Flashy

Ahhh..I see. So by standing for the Constitutional Rights of people to freely practice thier own beliefs should there be a wave of fear led hysterical goons making up a lynch mob…he’s Muslim.

Seems to everyone with common sense and a brain views it as what he is saying is he will not let the American Taliban take control and run rampant over the Rights of others in the name of a religous pogrom.

      • Kinetic1

In other word, if, as with the Japanese the people of America begin calling for the incarceration or deportation of all Muslims he will defend their right to remain free. That’s not treason, but the exact opposite. That’s defending our Constitution’s call for freedom of religion. Interpreting his statement to mean that, should the ” “political winds” shift toward Islam, then that’s where he’ll go.” is about as big a distortion as proclaiming all Muslims to be violent terrorists.

      • DaveH

I simply posted the truth, Flashman, something you’re unfamiliar with. I took no stand.

      • Kate8

Obama is not simply acknowledging Muslims the right to practce their faith unhindered in America. He is outright promoting Islam, while moving toward criminalizing Christianity.

Just take, for example, his canceling of the long practiced Day of Prayer…which Obama decided to declare now CANCELLED, no matter how many of us wished to observe it. While he PROMOTED an ISLAMIC Day of Prayer. WTH?

Are you really so blind as to not question anything this creep does? Are you really that simple?

      • Karolyn

And what exactly is wrong with what he said?

      • Kate8

karolyn – You think it is okay for O to give preference to Islam?

      • Karolyn

Kate – That’s mpt what I got from what he said.

      • Kinetic1

        Kate8,
What are you talking about? The National day of prayer is the first Thursday in May and has been since Reagan set the date. President Obama released proclamations recognizing the day in each of the last 3 years. No, he did not appear at a national prayer event, but instead chose to recognize the day in private. Since there is no prescribed ceremony of recognition, that was his call. Nothing was “cancelled” as you claim. This is just another distortion being spread by those of you who will do anything to find fault with this man.

      • Smilee

        DaveH says:
        January 11, 2012 at 9:10 am

He was talking about American citizens, you quoted it correctly but I fail to see how anyone could spin that to mean he is a Muslim or promoting that religion he is simply saying he will stick up for their constitutional rights which all presidents have an obligation to do

      • Think about it

“I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.
This is a quote from Obama’s book The Audacity of Hope. It is from a section that talks about the concerns of immigrants who are American citizens.

It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names.
This one is from Dreams from My Father.

      • Old Henry

Uphold the Constitution JC? Hell, his being there shreds our Constitution.

      • John

        Understood Old Henry,
BUT, I am getting quite tired of needless rhetoric that is resulting that people think we are nuts and thus they don’t even want to listen to the real points made.. I see this “he is a Muslim president and thus a traitor” nonsense all the time. There is NO place in the constitution that said a Muslim can not be the president of this country. The founders knew about Muslims, they knew there where 100s of different faiths and groups out there and still, they did NOT specify that a christian only could be president of this country. They relied on the people to elect what they think was best for the country independent of the faith of the person. A Wicca could be a rightful president of this country. If people don’t like this, they can work on changing the constitution, but until that is done, nothing will change this simple fact. There are handles within the constitution and the amendments to deal with presidents that try to destroy this country. Impeachment, arrest for treason, elections, common sense, that are the tools that are available and should be used. Making statements such as the above poster and many others I see on here that let their hate dictate their words will NOT be productive, all it will do is to cloud ones perspective and turn of fence sitters that would see them. Having hate blinders on and spewing out nonsense does not help. If one hates the president this much, hate at home, hate in your town but keep it away from a place the whole world can see because it is simply counter productive. And if one still want to voice ones hate, stick to the facts don’t let rhetoric destroy your reason.

      • Rational

I like your style JOHN. I only wish it has some impact on these cretins.

Today’s right has been hijacked by those who believe they can only win an argument by slander, name-calling and if all else fails throw in the name of Jesus.

These are simple hate mongers who dance to the tune of anyone who will go to any extreme to see POTUS fail. When they harm the country, that’s simply fratricide, friendly fire to them. Their level of hate sees no limit.

      • Kate8

John – What you said is so not true.

Up until LBJ opened America’s gates to the Third World, immigration was only allowed from those cultures which were compatible with our American values. This was to insure our strength in unity and faith. Our founders recognized that such “diversity” was not a strengh, but would lead to division, weakness and our ultimate destruction.

The whole reason for flooding America with diverse cultures was to neutralize our American culture, dividing us along lines of language and values. When you have groups of people all playing by different rules, no one can understand nor trust anyone else. It’s the old “divide and conquer”.

Americans bought ths “strenght through diversity” line by the use of political correctness to keep us all in line…to keep us from seeing the truth. Everyone was so afraid of being labelled some kind of “phobe” that we’ve allowed ourselves to become…NOTHING. We are now nothing…but a pathetic lot of totally neutered sheep who stand for…nothing.

      • Flashy

“Up until LBJ opened America’s gates to the Third World, immigration was only allowed from those cultures which were compatible with our American values.”

Could not agree more! that’s why throughout our history we let in the Irish, the Cathlics, the Jews, the E Europeans, the Chinese, the Indian (sub Asian continent), the many from nations across Africa, the S. Americans, the Caribs, the Central Americans, heck…there is rumor we even let some French Canadiens in…because those cultures were compatible with our American values…

And then came LBJ who screwed it up and let everyone else in.

      • http://WND Redfray

        Would you define treason?

      • John

        Kate8,
You don’t know much of the history in this country do you?

The history of Islam in the United States can be divided into two significant periods: the post World War I period, and the last few decades, Although some individual members of the Islamic faith are known to have visited or lived in the United States during the colonial era.[11]

Estevanico of Azamor may have been the first Muslim to enter the historical record in North America. Estevanico was a Berber originally from North Africa who explored the future states of Arizona and New Mexico for the Spanish Empire.[12][13] He was raised as a Muslim, but was converted to Roman Catholicism upon enslavement.[14]

American views of Islam affected debates regarding freedom of religion during the drafting of the state constitution of Pennsylvania in 1776. Constitutionalists promoted religious toleration while Anticonstitutionalists called for reliance on Protestant values in the formation of the state’s republican government. The former group won out, and inserted a clause for religious liberty in the new state constitution. American views of Islam were influenced by favorable Enlightenment writings from Europe, as well as Europeans who had long warned that Islam was a threat to Christianity and republicanism.[15]

When Benjamin Franklin helped establish a non-denominational religious meeting house in Philadelphia, he emphasized its non-sectarian nature by stating that “even if the Mufti of Constantinople were to send a missionary to preach Mohammedanism to us, he would find a pulpit at his service”.[16]

There was Muslim migration into the US as there was migration from other faiths besides Christians. The US from its earliest days as a country was open to ALL different faiths and groups long, long before LBJ.

      • Brian Schultz

OM FFIN G… Kate8… reread your post… what total crap “Until LBJ opened up this country to the third world….”

What are you spewing…. if I remember correctly…. the reason this ‘country’ came into existence (it WAS already here after all, and inhabited by a native citizenry- that was subsiquently nearly eradicated from existence) because some people wanted to Escape “RELIGIOUS PERSECUTION” AND OH BY THE WAY…. EVERYONE THAT POPULATED THIS COUNTRY SINCE THAT TIME WERE “IMMIGRANTS (OH AND THE SLAVES THAT THE RICH BROUGHT HERE TO DO THE WORK)….

HOW DOES THAT ONE SCRAP OF PAPER READ???…. ‘WE THE PEOPLE, IN ORDER TO FORM A MORE PERFECT UNION….. CERTAIN INALIENABLE RIGHTS…….THAT ALL MEN ARE CREATED EQUAL (MEN BEING GENERIC FOR PEOPLE) [ALL ARE CREATED EQUAL BUT THATS IT....UNLESS YOU HAVE MONEY.....SO RE READ AS ALL MEN WITH MONEY ARE CREATED EQUAL] {THIS IS MORE SARCASM OF COURSE…

SO I’LL USE YOUR OWN WORDS FROM A PREVIOUS POST “WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE” YOURSELF…..IT IS SICKENING TO LISTEN TO PEOPLE WHO SPOUT OFF ABOUT RELIGION (FOR EXAMPLE…. I AM CHRISTIAN BLAH BLAH BLAH) AND THEN BE HYPOCRITICAL AND JUDGEMENTAL. FOR PEOPLE TO CLAIM TO BE AMERICAN BUT THEN BE RACIST (I DARE YOU TO LOOK DEEP INTO YOUR LINEAGE AND SEE WHAT YOU FIND). FOR ANY AMERICAN TO BITCH AND MOAN ABOUT IMMIGRATION (AS 99% OF US ARE IMMIGRANTS OR DESCENDED FROM IMMIGRANTS- TECHNICALLY EVEN SLAVES ARE INNIGRANTS, ALBEIT INVOLUNTARY IMMIGRANTS)…. I THINK IF YOU WANT TO POST ON A SITE LIKE THIS AND TALK POLITICS AMERICANUS YOU SHOULD CUT ALL THE RACIST, BIGOTTED, RELIGIOUS, CRAP AND DISCUSS THINGS RATIONALLY…

NO IMMIGRANT CITIZEN OF THE US SHOULD COMPLAIN ABOUT IMMIGRATION… IT IS DOWNRIGHT HYPOCRYTICAL…

      • Kate8

John and Brian – You are both idiots.

Brian, your shouting rant had no relevance to the point I was making.

You both are so trapped in your ideologies and dreams of utopia that your are completely detached from reality. You have also succombed to revisionist history.

There’s just no cure for stupid. That’s why we’re in collapse.

The proof is in the puddng, guys.

Gee, it’s all worked out so well, hasn’t it?

      • Brian Schultz

        KAte8,
how can you possibly call me an idiot….

First quoting exactly the most important document in history is not revisionist.

second… if the pilgrims coming here to get away from religious persecution is not how all of this modern era crap started then the whole history of the US is wrong.

third… if you even try to dispute the fact that all of us except the amaerican natives (that we did almost wipe off the planet) are in fact immigrants and/or decended there of , I am sorry to the site hosts but it is you that is an idiot

      • Brian Schultz

as to your comment; immigrants with comparable values crap……thats how we were set up eh?

hmmm lets start… we brought the chinese immigrants here to build the railroads not because their values imitated ours but because they were cheap labor and did things we were too good for…. ditto the irish (new yorkers needed someone to pick on) hmmm, catholics came later too….. they were the ones persecuting the puritans….

I could go on because it is now necessary to take race and ethics courses in a college curriculum but i can sum up that your values and meaning must be that…” we Americans only accept immigrants that we can use and abuse… it has nothing to do with values… because that thought process contains only negative values…. you appaerently do not agree that all humans are equal (skin color is only associated with the geographic and climatic region where the ancestors came from….

      • John

        Kate8,
Revisionist history? Thank you, you have just shown that you have no clue about the history of this country, the principles it was founded on and the constitution of the US.

      • Kate8

Sorry, John, but it is YOU who are clueless.

You have bought the (mis)interpretations of those who have long sought to turn American values upside down and to reinterpret our Constitution…or should I say, replace our Constitution, to suit their own purposes.

There is no point in debating you because you’ve bought into it hook, line and sinker. Most Americans today have no clue as to what America ever was. It is forever lost, I’m afraid.

Our founders never intended that we should give away the farm to those who seek to conquer us. Other cultures come here and set up virtual satellites in our cities, with their own rules, customs and even laws. Many now openly practice Sharia, and have their own courts. The are no longer America.

If you are okay with this, then I guess the ruling elite have succeeded with their programs beyond their wildest dreams.

        Hello Amerika.

      • Kinetic1

        Kate8,
You’ve been reading David Barton’s works, haven’t you? I just can’t get enough of the way the new “Christian” historians tilt the “facts” to fit their own ideology and then claim everyone else is revisionist.

      • mark

He already did that on Jan. 20, 2009. He will do it again on Jan. 20 2017.

      • Kate8

mark – You are truly pathetic.

      • NC

Kate, John just paid you a great compliment! He limited your lack of knowlege to just “history of our country”!! I think you ignorance is much more vast than that. Say “thank you ” to John!

      • Brian Schultz

        Kate8,

I am sorry but after reading through these posts, I believe it is you (and a few others). that is/are trying to live life through the eyes of revisionist history. It is also you that is so stuck in your ideology that makes you virtually impotent in knowledge and fact… so to make life easier for you and those that think like you do:

I have read the bible numerous times (as well as many other pieces of “religious literature- studied philosophy in college as a matter of fact) so let me make a few points that a religious zealot like you must have missed.

Ten Commandments- Heres a big one…. Thou shalt not kill. That is a period at the end of the sentence- it does not say thou shall not Kill unless the person you kill doesn’t believe in what you believe… (christians, no Catholics- the most organized of christians, have killed more people in the name of christ than any other organization in the known world- Christ taught peace, love, and understanding.

Thou shalt not judge. here is another period at the end of the sentence, (however some revised versions of said bible state… thou shalt not judge… that is gods job)… Yet throughout my life I have noticed that Catholics are the most JUDGEMENTAL, and hypocrytical persons on this planet… (and my wife is a Catholic)

The Bible also specifically states that we are not to harass people for not believing as we do as long as they believe in something…. so to give you a little help…. that means if you are catholic don’t get down on a lutheran because in the end you both believe (though science continually disproves it) that god created heaven and earth…blah blah blah… in six days and then took a day off and had a couple drinks to enjoy his work.

In simplest terms let me enlighten you on “THE WORD OF GOD”…

The Bible is a book written by a collection of men over a long period of time (Interestingly enough so is the Quran)…What this book is comprised of is a collection of stories that tell MAN, and MANKIND for that matter, how to be good people and CARETAKERS of the Garden that is Earth… it also extropolates on stories of the bad things that happen when we ARE NOT good people and CAretakers of the earth (interestingly enough so does the Quran)… it is a true shame that “The WORD OF GOD” has been basterdized and used for evil…. and unfortunately if you cast stones the way you do (judgement) then by definition Kate8 and you others that I refer to… You are EVIL and UNGODLIKE…

As for myself I kinda get the jist of what the book says because long ago I decided to take the book for what it is and not let ORGANIZED RELIGION steer me to the dark and evil places (such as Catholicism and the evils thereof)…. I am Kind to my neighbors (no matter what color they are or what they believe. I do not cast judgement on others based on their beliefs. I try to help my fellow man. and I don’t cast stones for yes I have sinned…. But at least I admit it!!!!

      • Kate8

My lack of knowledge? In your dreams. I’ve forgotten more than either of you have ever learned.

        You make me laugh.

      • Brian Schultz

        Wow kate,

what a great, intelligent, informative- counterpoint…..you have forgotten more than I know…..hmmm thats a great way to prove it. how about actually enlightening all of us idiots with the true history of the US.
        would love to see that.
Hows about giving us the ‘real definition’ of the commandments. oh great and wise one.

Hows about explaining how being a backwater racist who likes to spew crap about the tunnel visioned view of we americans are the best in the world and screw everyone else doesn’t think so fits into the realm of modern thinking when we ahould all be working toward SAVING THIS PLANET INSTEAD OF CALLOUSLY DESTROYING IT.

If you could even give one reasonable response to any of these questions I would consider giving you a break but heres “a” truth…

Persons like you love to spew forth garbage and argue against rational thought but when called to explain your “inconsistent rational”…. all you can do is come up with a statement like- You are an idiot, I have forgotten more than you have ever known……. You love to call out that all of Islam is terrorist…..you should take a look at the total world population of the members of islam and then the number of islamic terrorists… then do a little math and you will find the percentage of ‘terrorists is very small compared to the number of people who follow the tenets of islam…….

Then you should look at the ‘BIG BUSINESS’ of Catholisism and there history and take a REALISTIC look at how many people they have killed in the name of ‘The god that preaches peace love and understanding’

You see I have a right to discuss these things because I am Rational and am open minded and willing enough to hear alternative arguments and as a matter of fact I was brought up Lutheran….and to touch on a previous work (and just because you appear very in need of formal education) the modern institution of this country was founded and formed by PROTESTANTS that wer trying to get away from over zealous, supposedly good Christians, that did nothing but persecute those that had differing beliefs (like Catholics)

Sister- the only thing you have forgotten is how to be a good human being.

    • Brian Schultz

This is all well and good to say all this but even here I wonder why all of you good US citizens (I am also one, I work, I vote, I pay my taxes…)cant accept the big picture….. It is easy to blame the president no matter what party he represents but the true problem is that the rest of the govt is so screwed up…. how can any President get anything done when the republicans and democrats in congress don’t do anything but politic!!!!! AS SOON AS THE ELECTIONS ARE OVER THEY NEED TO QUIT THE BIPARTISAN CRAP AND REMEMBER THAT THEY WORK FOR US THE CITIZENRY OF THE UNITED STATES. That goes for Democrats and both Republican parties!!! They need to work in the best interest of the PEOPLE not big money…. that is what put our country in jeopardy in the first place… I know it is old thinking but come on people the truth is our government walks all over us in the interest of big money….. I love turning on the Boob tube and seeing that the country is doing so well!!??? but then I look at my HARD WORKING Fellow AMERICANS and see that they can’t afford to buy heating fuel much less a gallon of Milk for their kids- BUT OUR ECONOMY IS GETTING BETTER RIGHT??? Why don’t all the Blowhards spouting progress go take a tour of “Anytown America” and see that the people are drowning and the gov’t doesn’t care…. I love that the Occupy Movement started, too bad it didn’t get anywhere because the conservatives sent out the storm troops to disband the ‘Mostly Peaceful Rallies’ That technically are supposed to be allowed by our Constitution. Oh well I better stop, otherwise I will be just another blowhard… I guess I’ll go to work, earn my pittance, try to pay my bills (mostly unsuccessfully), let my tax dollars go to paying for all the Lazy asses that dont want to work (and the unfortunates that can’t), and pay for a military machine that costs far more than it is worth… Don’t get me wrong- I appreciate what our troops do as a matter of fact I am the proud son of One of those military men “that was doing his job’ but was forgotten by his government and scorned by the people he was protecting and I grew up with that…. But I am tired of Our military members sacrificing thier lives for big money and oil as opposed to freedom…

WHERE ARE THE GIRLFRIENDS of OBAMA?
This question has popped up before but it seems this is a nonissue to our media and pundits. Thanks to Hunter at WOY for posting it.
WHERE ARE THE GIRLFRIENDS of OBAMA?
I hadn’t thought about this – but where are O’s past girlfriends – surely he had at least one? No past girl friends popping up anywhere? Strange – strange to the point of being downright weird! OK, this is just plain old common sense, no political agendas for either side. Just common knowledge for citizens of a country, especially American citizens, who know every little tidbit about every other president (and their wives) that even know that Andrew Jackson’s wife smoked a corn cob pipe and was accused of adultery, or that Lincoln never went to school or Kennedy wore a back brace or Truman played the piano.
We are Americans! Our Media vets these things out! We are known for our humanitarian interests and caring for our ‘fellow man.’ We care, but none of us know one single humanizing fact about the history of our own president. Honestly, and this is a personal thing … but it’s bugged me for years that no one who ever dated him ever showed up. Taken his charisma, which caused the women to be drawn to him so obviously during his campaign, looks like some lady would not have missed the opportunity…. We all know about JFK’s magnetism, McCain was no monk; Palin’s courtship and even her athletic prowess were probed. Biden’s aneurisms are no secret. Look at Cheney and Clinton-we all know about their heart problems. How could I have left out Wild Bill before or during the White House? Nope… not one lady has stepped up and said, “He was soooo shy,” or “What a great dancer!” Now look at the rest of what we know… no classmates, not even the recorder for the Columbia class notes ever heard of him. Who was the best man at his wedding? Start there… Check for groomsmen. Then get the footage of the graduation ceremony. Has anyone talked to the professors? Isn’t it odd that no one is bragging that they knew him or taught him or lived with him? When did he meet Michele and how? Are there photos? Every president provides the public with all their photos, etc. for their library. What has he released? Nada – other than what was in this so-called biography! And experts who study writing styles, etc. claim it was not O’s own words or typical of his speech patterns, etc.
Does this make any of you wonder? Ever wonder why no one ever came forward from Obama’s past, saying they knew him, attended school with him, was his friend, etc.? Not one person has ever come forward from his past. This should really be a cause for great concern. Did you see the movie titled, The Manchurian Candidate? Let’s face it. As insignificant as we all are… someone whom we went to school with remembers our name or face…someone remembers we were the clown or the dork or the brain or the quiet one or the bully or something about us. George Stephanopoulos, ABC News said the same thing during the 2008 campaign. Even George questions why no one has acknowledged that the president was in their classroom or ate in the same cafeteria or made impromptu speeches on campus. Stephanopoulos was a classmate of Obama at Columbia-class of 1984. He says he never had a single class with him. Since he is such a great orator, why doesn’t anyone in Obama’s college class remember him? And, why won’t he allow Columbia to release his records? Do you like millions of others; simply assume all this is explainable – even though no one can? NOBODY REMEMBERS OBAMA AT COLUMBIA
Looking for evidence of Obama’s past, Fox News contacted 400 Columbia University students from the period when Obama claims to have been there, but not one remembers him. For example, Wayne Allyn Root was (like Obama) a political science major at Columbia , who graduated in 1983. In 2008, Root says of Obama, “I don’t know a single person at Columbia that knew him, and they all know me. I don’t have a single classmate who ever knew Barack Obama at Columbia … EVER! Nobody recalls him. Root adds that he was, “Class of ’83 political science, pre-law” and says, “You don’t get more exact or closer than that. Never met him in my life, don’t know anyone who ever met him.” At our 20th class reunion five years ago, who was asked to be the speaker of the class? Me. No one ever heard of Barack! And five years ago, nobody even knew who he was. The guy who writes the class notes, who’s kind of the, as we say in New York, ‘the macha’ who knows everybody, has yet to find a person, a human who ever met him.” Obama’s photograph does not appear in the school’s yearbook, and Obama consistently declines requests to talk about his years at Columbia, provide school records, or provide the name of any former classmates or friends while at Columbia. How can this be?
NOTE: Wayne Allyn Root can easily be verified. He graduated valedictorian from his high school, Thornton-Donovan School , then graduated from Columbia University in 1983 as a Political Science major in the same ’83 class in which Barack Hussein Obama states he was. Some other interesting questions. Why was Obama’s law license inactivated in 2002? Why was Michelle’s law license inactivated by court order? According to the U.S. Census, there is only one Barack Obama – but 27 Social Security numbers and over 80 aliases. WHAT!? The Social Security number he uses now originated in Connecticut where he is never reported to have lived. No wonder all his records are sealed!
Please continue sending this out to everyone. Somewhere, someone had to know him in school…before he “reorganized” Chicago and burst upon the scene at the 2004 Democratic Convention and made us swoon with his charm, poise, and speaking pizzazz. One of the biggest CONS this country has ever seen, and getting away with it. Go watch the movie The Manchurian Candidate, with Lawrence Harvey ! Good movie! Ask George Soros, HE created Barack Hussein Obama! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bj3AECSKmhU THANK YOU FreedomFighter!!!

Regarding Tom W.’s questions of who ever knew Barrack Obama years ago, I recall meeting a guy in Hawaii who said that he (the guy ) graduated from the same high school in Hawaii, at the same time as Obama did. He said that he knew most of the people in graduating class, but he and some classmates all draw a “blank” on Obama. It will be of interest to find out who he really is. Maybe we’ll never know.
