Four Family Members Share Birthday

TOLEDO, Ohio, Jan. 4 (UPI) — An Ohio man said his granddaughter will celebrate her first birthday Wednesday, the same day as his own, his father’s and his daughter’s.
Richard Stiff of Toledo, who was born Jan. 4, 1947, said his late father, Marshall, was born Jan. 4, 1924, his daughter, Julia Gonyer, was born Jan. 4, 1978, and Julia’s daughter, Kourtney, was born Jan. 4, 2011, the Toledo Blade reported Wednesday.
Stiff said he, Julia and Kourtney are all the first-born children of their families.
“Three out of four. That’s pretty high odds,” he said.
Gonyer said Wednesday’s festivities will be focused on the youngest birthday girl.
“She gets her own day. It’s a big deal to share all of our birthdays, but Dad and I have had so many birthdays already. It’s her turn now,” Gonyer said.
