17 Pols Make Judicial Watch's Top 10 'Most Corrupt' List

Judicial Watch has released its annual list of Washington’s 10 Most Corrupt Politicians. Unfortunately for us, and the United States, the scandals were so prevalent in 2011 that Judicial Watch couldn’t narrow the list to just 10. Here, in alphabetical order, are the 17. It starts with the Top 10, then the seven Dishonorable Mentions:

  • Representative Spencer Bachus (R-Ala): He’s the face of the Congressional “insider trading” scandal that rocked the Washington establishment in late 2011. A 60 Minutes report based on the book, Throw Them All Out, outed a number of sleazy members of Congress who managed to benefit financially based on information they alone were privy to. The report also named Speaker John Boehner and Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, but as chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, Bachus “stood out for his remarkable ‘good fortune’ in shorting the stock market in 2008.”
  • Former Senator John Ensign (R-Nev.): He was forced to resign from office in May 2011 over an ethics investigation that resulted from a sex scandal. In trying to cover up an affair with the wife of a staffer, Ensign allegedly offered the couple a bribe of lucrative gifts and political favors.
  • Attorney General Eric Holder: For his involvement in and attempted cover-up of Operation Fast and Furious, refusing to defend the Constitutionality of Section 3 of the Defense of Marriage Act, stonewalling the release of information about Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan’s participation in Obamacare discussions while she was solicitor general, the Black Panther voter intimidation scandal, conspiring with scandal-ridden Project Vote in voter fraud and other malfeasance.
  • Congressman Alcee Hastings (D-Fla.): Impeached as a Federal judge in 1981 for taking a $150,000 bribe, Hastings is now caught up in a sex scandal. A female government employee claims Hastings sexually harassed her then engaged in a cruel campaign of retaliation when she rebuffed his advances. (Judicial Watch has filed a lawsuit against Hastings on the woman’s behalf.)  He is also under investigation for abusing his office by using government travel as a cover for sightseeing and by soliciting gifts and campaign contributions from Congressional staff.
  • Congressman Jesse Jackson Jr. (D-Ill.) and the Blagojevich co-conspirators: The House Ethics Committee (oxymoron) is investigating allegations that Jackson or someone acting on his behalf offered to raise campaign cash for then-Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich in exchange for a Senate appointment in 2008.
  • President Barack Obama: It’s the President’s fifth appearance on this list. This time it’s over the Solyndra scandal and his efforts — and those of his staff — to ignore the Constitution and the rule of law.
  • Congresswoman Laura Richardson (D-Calif.): Accused of misusing her Congressional staff for personal and political gain.
  • Congressman David Rivera (R-Fla.): He’s mired in numerous scandals stemming from charges of money laundering and tax evasion schemes initiated when he served in the Florida House of Representatives. He’s being investigated by the FBI, the IRS, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, the Miami-Dade Police public corruption unit and the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s office.
  • Congresswoman Maxine Waters (D-Calif.): Her alleged transgressions are too many to list, but they include House Ethics Committee (oxymoron) investigations over abuse of power and supporting legislation that financially benefited her husband and a company in which her family holds part ownership.
  • Congressman Don Young (R-Alaska): The House Ethic Committee (oxymoron) cleared Young on charges of exceeding the limit on campaign donations to his legal defense fund — which was set up to defend him against an entirely different set of corruption charges. But Young nevertheless violated the rules, according to press reports. He is under investigation for taking bribes, illegal gratuities and unreported gifts from an Alaska company whose CEO pleaded guilty to bribing members of Alaska’s Legislature. He’s also linked to lobbyist Jack Abramoff’s scandal and others.

Dishonorable mentions went to:

  • Former Senator John Edwards (D-N.C.): Indicted by a North Carolina grand jury on six felony charges related to the cover-up of an affair with a staffer.
  • Congressman Barney Frank: Fanny Mae and Freddie Mac scandals and abuse of office.
  • Former House Speaker and Current GOP Presidential Candidate Newt Gingrich: Lying about his lobbying activities and his work for Fannie and Freddie, etc.
  • Department of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano: Ignoring immigration laws and the U.S. Constitution.
  • Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.): Abusing her office and insider trading.
  • Congressman Charles Rangel (D-N.Y.): Convicted by the House Ethics Committee (oxymoron) of failing to pay taxes, failing to report income and errors and omissions.
  • Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius: Obamacare waivers to benefit favorable (to Obama) constituencies.

The best part of all is that Michele Bachmann is suspending her campaign!

    • MNIce

Why do you celebrate the loss of one of the three best candidates? How is this better than Romney or one of the other “moderates” dropping out? Bachmann, Paul and Santorum were the only candidates seriously talking about eliminating the deficit through a return to Constitutional laws.

      • Scott in SC

        MNIce,
because many of the posters here aren’t Conservatives or Americans, they are Republicans.

  • CHUCK U oBAMA

List after list, oBAMA allways makes the list! And it’s allways a bad list! And yet he still wreaks havoc all over are country and he is still in office! And all I can say is why in the hell is he still in office?! IMPEACH OBAMA NOW!!!!!

    • 45caliber

You haven’t heard what HE had to say about that! After all, according to him, he is the fourth best President we’ve ever had – after Lincoln (who threw out the Bill of Rights to get federal power), Johnson (who forced us into Vietnam), and FDR (who fed us socialism). That makes him even better than Washington or any others of our Founding Fathers!

    • MNIce

If you want that to happen, then pay close attention to your state’s US Senate race. Harry Ried’s Senate is Obama’s protection from the people.

  • Carol J

And the biggest problem is there is no one running for president for whom I want to vote. How about everyone writing in their own name come election day?

    • Scott in SC

I feel the same way, but I will vote come election day. Probably for the Liberatrian ticket. I haven’t voted for an incumbent in over 20 years and as you might guess my candidates never win. I refuse to support the criminals currently in office and hope that someday others will do likewise.

    • Marlene

Brilliant! – NOT. I hope you jest because that’s a positive way to hand the election to Obama, who is the most corrupt, evil, anti-American president this country has ever had the misfortune to have at its helm.

      • Scott in SC

        Marlene,
You are 100% wrong. You are the problem. One of those who wants to feel good about their team winning even though their candidate is the same as the current POTUS, a liberty stealing, wealth re-distributing, America destroying criminal. But hey, he’s our crook.
Don’t blame me that the GOP has sold out this country, just like the Democrats. Blame yourself for supporting and cheering them on while they did it.

      • skippy

well, Scott SC….what the hell is your SOLUTION???!!!
You seems pretty good at dissing Marlene…………..

    • Carolyn

That is the best and surest way to re-elect Obama.
      Learn to think.

    • 45caliber

      Carol:

I always said that if I ever decided to run for any office, I would change my legal name to “None of the Above”. I’d win with about 90% of the votes!

    • Gman

Hey Carol: wouldn’t Obama remain in office ?

  • James

The U.S. Military trains our soldiers in such a manner that to the casual observer or more correctly the ignorant describes as instilling within them a high degree of attention to detail. When people focus on the outside they fail to see what is really going on. Something else has to be in place first before they can become successful soldiers and that is RESPECT disrespectful people can neither lead nor be led. It has been obvious for over 3 decades that the ruling class has very little concern for the ruled and it stems from arrogance, unchecked arrogance leads to ignorance, and a self centered person is an ignorant person. The scary and sad fact the ignorant amongst us is that elected officials will not be dissuaded from the simple threat of being voted out, so many connections are made that future success whether as a lobiest or otherwise is nearly guaranteed. The only way people like this can be dealt with is through taking from them what is most valuable to them and that is themselves either through imprisonment or one other way( I will let you figure that one). Glenn beck and his followers think we can educate the masses but that requires two things, time and an honorable people honor stems from truth does our society embrace truth not really the media demands we continue subsidizing lies by allowing any business to purchase media outlets if truth is to be returned we must stop mfg companies like ge from ownership of media outlets because they willuse it for propaganda purposes to bolster sales and increase revenues if we value our rights we must start with truth and place regulations back on media like we used to if their word is so valuable make them stand on it. The issue of time is another thing when the government controls the education our kids are receiving and the media is compliant to feed us what the government approves of time is not on our side. That brings us to another aspect of truth in media they cannot be publicly traded nor can they have any participation in the markets just like those elected officials no investment activity of any kind they go to Washington out of deep concern for the country not for personal enrichment, make them stand on their word as well. The man at the top has to be willing to do WHATEVER it takes to put the shackles back on our government by force if necessary and as we all know sometimes the sins committed require correction before one can proceed forward and you can bet your sweet ass that the first requirement is the acknowledgement of God you cannot acknowledge God without first identifying God He has many names and one of them is NOT allah the next thing is life. The arrogance of the politicians and supreme court justices is what keeps them from seeing truth in the abortion issue so in dealing with removing those who embrace the killing of the innocent ,Jesus definition of murder, one would be able to convey the level of force one is willing to apply to turn things around. We have an inside man Bernard madoff who would be willing to reveal a great number of not only politicians but corrupt wallstreeters. This could be done but it will take a David to do it not some ivy league circus clown or an ex Washingtonian. The marine corps training manual has an unnamed quote when a nation makes to great the distinction between it’s scholars and it’s warriors it ends up with scholars (our leaders) that are cowards and warriors that are fools. Fortunately our warriors value with great zeal intelligence sadly the elites amongst us look at our soldiers as beneath them we are halfway down my friends (flat on our ass) , in case I wasn’t clear the David I am referencing is king David of the Jews jesus’ ancestor, he was willing to do the killing necessary

  • skippy

THE ONLY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN KING GEORGE AND THE CURRENT HEADS IN CHARGE (HEADS IN CHEAT THAT IS)…IS THAT THE KING WAS IN ENGLAND…AND THESE JERKS ARE HERE~~~~AND GET ELECTED TO SCREW ALL AMERICANS AND MAKE THEMSELVES UNTOUCHABLE AND IMMUNE TO THEIR LAWS.

    • Don

Skippy, they are not immune to the musket !!

    • Carolyn

Skippy you are so right. But let’s put one more question in the pot that we are all stirring. It was said on a popular TV show that Marco Rubio was being considered as a vice presidential hopeful. Did anyone stop to think that he is not eligible as his parents are not American born? AS Vice-President he is just one step away from becoming President. All the R’s and D’s in the U.S., are in up to there eyeballs in self-serving, selfish and self-rightous behavior that has deluded them to the facts of life. The politicians were supposed to be servants of the people, we have allowed them to become our rulers for far too long and they feel entitled to whatever their selfish mentality conjures up and most of the people are just too caught up in their own little world to think about actually doing something about it, like get out and vote. The politicians could not buy one vote if we used our God given right to think for ourselves. Yet we wallow in self-pity expecting the other fellow to make it right. Most people don’t even bother to know the issues and the person. They accept what the corrupt media with an agenda tells them to believe and do. This time around we are the “other fellow” and we had better make it count or there just may not be enough time to undo the damage the current politicans have done, both Democrats and Republicans.

It is beginning to look like another civil war coming to a country near you. We have a cancer, it’s called Congress and as they give away our land and farms to foreign interest, our food source, and our soveriengty to the UN, re; 2nd amendment, agenda 21 etc we will then be disarmed and starving. Question is this, will our military shoot down or incarcerate family and neighbors to protect this administration and congress? Just asking!

  • dan

if we allow the District of Criminals to do this….
then maybe Jerimiah Wright DID have a point.

    • s c

dan, if you mean elected, career criminal politicians, your point is close to the mark. Wright doesn’t deserve to be behind any pulpit, though, as his master is not God.

  • Scott in SC

And yet in the 2010 mid-term elections incumbents won 85% of the races. And looking at the crop of new comers I see more of the same as those they replaced. I believe that 90+% of all elected officials are involved in corruption of some type.

    • 45caliber

      Scott:

I saw a comment one time some years ago about this.

Congressmen has the most secure jobs in the US. They have a less than 3% turnover while the rest of the job markets have much more.

  • Steven Jokinen

Oops you have to forgive me I live in massachusetts it is hard to tell the liberal Democrats apart like John Kerry(d) and Mitt Romney (r). Both have said anything to get elected and have the money to buy any vote. Look at the super pac that Mitt just put on in Iowa against Newt Gingrich and denied that he was behind it.

    • http://personallibertydigest Joel

I used to live in Mass. and then moved back to MI, I just can’t seem to get it right. Of course, does it matter where you move to?

    • joe H.

      Steven,
NEITHER of them have enough money to buy MY vote!!! It ain’t for sale!
      RON PAUL/ANDREW NAPOLITANO 2012!!!

  • Lastmanstanding

and yet they all laugh at us…now that have passed a law that eliminates scathing letters, email, and correspondence that lets them know that they are voting, acting unconstitutionally, etc.

next it will be their discretion of what is to radical on the internet…for them that is…

think about that for a while…2nd amendment is next regardless of the next pres…unless we ALL vote Ron Paul 2012

    • http://personallibertydigest Joel

That’s like asking, do you want to get shot in the head or stabbed in the heart!

  • jopa

sc;Judicial Watch is a Conservative publication,Do you really think they would list more Republicans and be honest about the real corruption in DC.This is just another attempt to smear our current administration. When there are no listings of the pirates in the last administration that cost us trillions dig a little deeper.

    • Jeep

Why do you feel the need to “dig a little deeper”? All one has to do is scrape the surface in DC to watch the current crop of criminals scatter like cockroaches. I must conclude that in your lefty lunatic dream world that the admission of corruption by your messiah assaults your scewed sensibilities and would upset your mental balance.

    • s c

j, some people want to go through life without having to grow up. YOU are one of those ‘people.’ Some people expect to live off others. Those are the people you helped to put into office.
Between you and the ‘people’ you help put into office, I’d rather find friends via a phone book. Predictability makes you what you are, and that’s also why trying to communicate with a utopian is a pure waste of time. Anyone who can confuse being a winner with being a LOSER is someone who isn’t worth my time. In the process, America gets raped by having to endure the mentality that makes utopianism what it is.
You should have lived when FDR was raping and saddling America with mountains of debt and a world war. Thanks to your ‘efforts,’ we’re being hosed via FDR II. Thanks for NOTHING. That’s exactly what
      your ‘efforts’ are worth.
Keep your eyes on your kids and your grandkids when they understand what you did to America, comrade.

      • eddie47d

SC would have to robo call everyone in the phone book to even come up with one friend. Stop trying to be so desperate and cheap SC.

      • APN

Eddie47d….No need for SC to use the phone book, he/she can add me to the friend list….no problem!

      • joe H.

Same here eddie!!!! I’ll take her as a friend!!! A whole lot faster than YOU, that’s for sure!!

  • Steven Jokinen

Sorry I take that back there is one running for president.

  • Steven Jokinen

Here is the prize for corruption in government.
    Top 10 Wealthiest Congress Members

    Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) — $448 million.
    Rep. Mike McCaul (R-TX) — $380 million.
    Senator John Kerry (D-MA) — $232 million.
    Senator Mark Warner (D-VA) — $193 million.
    Senator Herb Kohl (D-WI) — $174 million.
    Rep. Jared Polis (D-CO) — $143 million.
    Rep. Vern Buchanan (R-FL) — $136 million.
    Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) — $101 million.
    Senator Jay Rockefeller (D-WV) — $99 million.
    Senator Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ) — $85 million.

These are just the people in office now. Not the ones running for President.

Note you don’t even make the list under 85 million.

    • JCfromDC

… and they say the Republicans are the “party of the rich”? Looks like a 30% minority to me.

    • JUKEBOX

Darrell Issa is the only one on the list that made his money by starting a business, and then selling it at a profit. The rest have either inherited their wealth, or made it AFTER they went into politics.

    • 45caliber

Hey! John Kerry has had to work hard for his money! He married his wife!

      • Lastmanstanding

and her dead husband who made all that money has been rolling in his grave at what it is being used for…

    • APN

…and if you took the sum of the whole LOT of them, you would still have a big ZERO!

  • Ted

Everyone talks impeachment. Impeach Obama, impeach Holder, impeach, Kagan. OK? Anyone listening? Anyone doing any impeaching? Nope! I don’t see anything affecting these people. It’s business as usual. I would love to go to the polls and vote for at least three people who I believe, are not liars and truly have this country’s best interest at heart but, it ain’t gonna happen. With the public outrage that has existed for the past three years, no impeachments have been initiated, no sanctions have been levied. I’d love to be optimistic. I can’t right now.

  • tim

Another vote for the low life scum harry ried here!!! He did everything he could to buy votes in nevada….. But you can bet he’s always up to no good to make his wallet thicker!!!

    • eddie47d

Assumptions not facts rule your thought process Tim. The same with Ted below who wants to take on (impeach) Democrats but ignores the Republicans. Now if Liberty gets attacked from the right shouldn’t you be taking them on too?

      • APN

WOW! Eddie47D! I agree with you. Given that, life is full of WONDERS.

  • Trashman

    We still get to vote:

TAKE OUT THE TRASH IN 2012

  • nanc

Sharon you and I think alike.

  • Spencer

When there are no meaningful standards of behavior, corruption is like a cancer that starts locally then spreads to other vital organs. It may be controlled in the beginning, but eventually it overwhelms the systems that are designed to control it and it overtakes its victim. That has happened to America. The Founding Fathers knew it would come and tried to build in checks and balances. But, the forces of evil are strong and they keep pushing to find the weak spots. Unfortunately the weak spot is man himself, whether he or she has an “R” or a “D” behind his or her name makes no difference. “The heart of man is exceedingly wicked; who can understand it?” God does! Maybe that’s why no one in Congress is standing up for the Ten Commandments; because it would be too self convicting!

    • Gman

Spencer: As i said to Dan, most of us Americans don’t know or adhere to the Bible. That’s why we are in the shape we are in. Since Satan has us all deceived, how do we change that ? I fear that not until the TRIBULATION will we see a change come over the people. Until then, this EVIL world will just keep spinning to it’s inevitable doomsday scenario.

      • APN

        Gman,

I agree with you completely. It will take a tribulation to get this nation turned back to GOD, no doubt.

  • Sharon Goodwin

I’ve said it before. None of them can be trusted. I think they are all crooks and are not out to help the American People period. Everyone of them should be on this list. No doubt about it. Self centerness and money hungry they are and shove anyone to the side if they get the least bit in the way. What constitution are they talking about because they sure don’t abide by it. It went bye bye long time ago. Our Country has gone to Hell in a bag and they think they are all in heaven. They will soon turn there head and be shocked to find out they had been in Hell all along. This may not be sticking to the subject but how can you keep it seperate lol.

    • dan

I don’t want to go all Biblical on you,Sharon, but America IS Babylon.

      • prepared

Lets all join together and pray for them. The prayer is written

        PSALM 109:8

      • Gman

Dan: I just wan to ask you; If most Americans don’t read or understand if they do read the Bible, How can we get people to see that our blessings come from God and He is king them back because of the way we DON’T interact with Him ?

  • DavidH

Remove them all, forcibly if necessary!

    • Gerry

IF NECESSARY???!!! You mean to say it is not necessary yet? Man are we screwed if this is the way we are currently thinking. Our country is in trouble and we have to ask “If Necessary”.

      • JCfromDC

Yeah? But who will vote that in? The same elected “representatives”? Fat chance. The same “representatives” whom we would expect to vote in term limits, salary cut-off when they leave office, Social Security the same as the rest of us… on and on… Republican Democracy is over. Franklin remarked in 1787, “we have given you a Republic… if you can keep it.” Well folks, we slept, the “Rievers” took over, and now WE lost. We have no one to blame but ourselves. The wolves have been guarding the sheep since Woodrow Wilson. WE put THEM in there. So where now does the blame now ultimately lay? At our OWN feet!

      • APN

Yep! Hard to argue with COLD hard FACTS.

    • Thinking about

it is time to get rid of those who request earmarks when we need to cut spending.

  • http://www.rogueriver.tzo.com/blogginondown.htm James Foley

Since “Top 10″ appears to be popular only because of Letterman, drop it and go for a Top 100 list. Less limiting but some will still fall off the the bottom and it would give a clearer picture of the cesspool in DC. What would be really interesting is a list of the bureaucrats that support this activity no matter who is shuffled into a seat. Congressmen and senators come and go… bureaucrats are forever.

  • Stephen

Do we need a new rule or even a Constitutional Amendment that states if an elected official is under investigation for any form of violation, that they would be required to step aside temporarily while their case is ruled? Apparently there needs to be some sort of legal deterrent to encourage only good behavior and working within the laws of this country. Too many politicians; not enough leaders.

    • Joe H.

      stephen,
If we did that, at any given time, over half of the elected officials of this country would have to step aside!!! Might be safer, at that!!

      • WickedPickle

Hell, their doing that already with their breaks, vacations and holiday times.. And worse! You temporarily sit them to the side, I guarantee it will be WITH pay (giving them even more paid free time) and what if their found guilty?? Before you can kick them hard and prosecute, they will resign with full pension benefits.. So you see? It’s all a ‘win-win’ situation with slugs like that and the ONLY way it can back up on them is if their kind (political family) turns their backs on them which will not happen because then no one (in this family of thieves) will be able to trust each other again thus, as they will be the final say, it won’t account to spit in a bucket as justice goes.

    • MNIce

Bad idea – the Democrats would file hundreds of false ethics complaints against every Republican except for the minimum number of RINOs needed to get a quorum.

The answer is for voters to follow George Washington’s advice to “diligently inquire into the character” of the candidates before voting. John Adams noted that our system is “wholly unfit for any other than a religious people,” and Thomas Jefferson also emphasized the importance of Christian character in elected officials.

I’m not advocating a religious test. I am saying we should look for evidence of Christian sanctification in the lives of our politicians. Those of you who do not understand what this is, or the importance or desirability of having such, see me after class for a lesson in basic theology – you do not know Christianity nor its motivations (and will be unqualified to criticize it until you do).

      • professor

Only a “moral people” can live free!

Corrupt countries with criminal populations can never be given freedom! Freedom requires that people willingly respect and obey the laws. There is no way to legislate “freedom.”

Our founders wrote the Constitution thinking that Americans would always embrace their Christian heritage and their patriotism!
When our country accepted immorality, crime and corruption, we lost our rights to be a free people. We can thank, “diversity, political correctness, and multicultralism.”

      • APN

Well said Professor! You simply cannot legislate morality. Our system of Government was established predominantly by CHRISTIAN men of moral principle and character. A system designed specifically for a peoples of deep faith in GOD who understood that FREEDOM comes from GOD, not men.

I do not trust ANYONE who does not believe in GOD and his WORD given to us through the Holy Scripture. Anyone who denies the fact that our Founders were guided by a Higher Power are just FOOLISH or ignorant. Anyone who would place their future or Family’s future in the hands of another man is even MORE foolish. How anyone could trust a person who does not believe in GOD, eludes me.

A person who does not understand the consequences of BAD behavior in this lifetime, simply cannot be trusted. In fact, they will do or say anything to achieve all their EARTHLY desires because there is no afterlife, in their little minds. Kinda sounds like Washington, doesn’t it? Barney Frank is a prime example of those in Washington who “represent” WE THE PEOPLE or the moral decline of WE THE PEOPLE.

Given the current moral decline in America, I truly pity the man or woman who becomes our next President. Unless of course it is Barack Obama, which fits this culture of moral decay perfectly, not to mention all his C&P friends.

      • Thinking about

How about spending $100 million proving what?

    • Rufus

What happen to innocence until proven guilty? If you want to get the corruption out of our government, you need to get the money out of the elections. The system is set up that those with the money get the access. The rest of us just babble about on sites like this. This is not a left right fight. Those who have the money support both sides. The only way to get back to a government that deals with the issues that affect all of us is to get the money out. Good luck with that after what the supreme court ruled.

      • professor

Rufus, there are two sides, but the “sides” are “government vs people!” The politicians are on one side and real Americans are on the other.

There will be corruption in Washington until all “our money” is taken away from the Federal Government! They control this country with their power to “tax and spend, i.e.,steal, waste, and buy favor with our money.”

Give the power to “tax and spend” to the States! Divide the power among the fifty States so that Americans can better benefit from the tax dollars collected. Right now, the only beneficiaries of taxes collected are the criminal Marxists in Washington and their friends (in and out of country.)

  • jim s.

It must be obvious to anybody who reads with any variety that the United States Senate is a country club. Its members have for a long time been completely out of touch with any Americans who are financially and powerfully well off.
The Senators also seem to have serious reservations with that pesky Bill of Rights. Those wealthy communists from the enlightenment period had their nerve writing such drivel.
The Senators are well aware of who makes the rules — and they want to keep it that way.

Jim..how right you are! I have never in all my 64 yr’s been so embarrassed and ashamed of my government and the american ppl. who have elected and turned their eye away from the immoral conduct of congress and obama. We american’s have entrusted these twice dead bag of bones and putred mind’s far to long with our lives and our children’s lives. America we need to throw them ALL out.

Since approx. 40 % of the yea votes were cast by senators whose names are followed by an “R” in this blatant NWO inspired bill that opens the door to “Agenda 21″ and “Martial Law”, and therefore spotlights forevermore the blurring of the “R’s” and the “D’s”, should not the “R’s” and “D’s” be replaced with a “B” which would stand for the Bilderberg Party?

P.S. For a real gut-burner, notice Tea Party candidate Marco Rubio who voted yea for the indefinite detention of American citizens without the possibility of a trial.

    • Sirian

We Okies have been seeking a return to what we consider a common sense path in the way things are handled – returning to our Constitution – more than most believe – but when we saw, with total shock no less, that our Senator Inhofe and everyone of our Representatives had voted for the NDAA, well, needless to say, they may as well consider their political careers over. We may be thought of and classified as backward, hillbilly, gun toten’, bible reading idiots by the know all, see all wonders in Washington (and elsewhere) but what they don’t understand is that we stand by our Constitution and they’re Socialist/Communist ego driven lust for power will inevitably pay the price!!
      Lock & Load, YOU BET!!!

    • JUKEBOX

Anybody who spends $12 to $15 million to get a job that pays around $1million for the tenure of the job never needs to be able to spend one penny of taxpayer money. A prime example is Obama, who is prepared to spend $1 billion or more for a job that only pays $1.6 million for the 4 year term. That is obscenely wrong, not counting the millions of taxpayer money he is spending to campaign for his re-election.

    • professor

Michael, thanks for the info. I think we all know that our two-party system is just an “illusion.” The Republicans made no effort to vet the Democratic candidate, obama, even though they all knew he was an illegal alien and not qualified. All the politicians in Congress swept obama into the presidency without a whimper of protest from the Republicans… There is no doubt about it, the people have no representation in government. It has become a “dictatorship” and Congress might as well “go home” for good… when there is no more money for them to steal, they will.

      • Jag

Problem is, people are so afraid of being branded a racist. Racism is what happened in Missouri, in 1874, a few years after the Civil War, when a Democrat controlled state government, passed legislation to prohibit concealed carry, so blacks couldn’t defend themselves. It took 13 years to get part of our rights back, but not our preexisting God given right of self defense, enshrined in the 2nd amendment to the US Constitution. Rights do not come from the benevolence of government; either you are born with them, are they don’t exist; privileges can be taken away at the whim of government.

      • Ed Mack

One would have to be a fool to think only one party is corrupt. When one party like the Democrats are now and the Republicans don’t have the guts to stop them or the other way around; which is the crooked party? The really sad part is there are STILL people who are going to run for office this fall who have NO BUSINESS being there such as Obama and in this case the world knows it. NOW WHAT?

    • only a vapor

      Michael,
Where did you source your info?
I see some conflicting opposition info in the following list from” http://www.reddit.com/r/politics/comments/nt77r/the_14_senators_who_voted_against_ndaa_all_the/
      NAYs —13
      Cardin (D-MD)
      Coburn (R-OK)
      Crapo (R-ID)
      DeMint (R-SC)
      Durbin (D-IL)
      Franken (D-MN)
      Harkin (D-IA)
      Lee (R-UT)
      Merkley (D-OR)
      Paul (R-KY)
      Risch (R-ID)
      Sanders (I-VT)
      Wyden (D-OR)
perhaps several Senators under constituent pressure, conscience or error realization-changed their vote later? Or was this a previous vote?
      peace.

    • APN

DeMint voted NO…Get your facts right.

      • Thinking about

I thought nay was a no vote, get your facts together.

  • s c

For those who don’t stay current with who’s on the current “cream” list, this group of names amounts to the tip of the proverbial iceberg. Note that no one party has cornered the sleaze market.
So what’s the solution? I suspect it will take a throw-back to an old-fashioned vigilante method. If there is no accountability, then there’s no reason to think this insanity will stop. Regardless of race, creed, color or party affiliation, anybody who wants to join this country club can do so and has good odds at getting away with it.
It seems the Founding Fathers assumed too much when it came to getting worthy people into politics. They felt that no one who had common sense or character would dare stoop to being a lifelong, professional and career criminal. They should have lived longer. Get the ropes. Lock and load. It’s getting very, very close to “them or us,” people.

    • CJ

What, no comment about the absence of Harry Reid from the list? Like they said, it was a tough choice limiting it to JUST 10.

      • eddie47d

He (Reid) wasn’t on the list because most allegations against him were drummed up swill to score points for the Republican Party and those on this site of coarse. Justice through Tar and Feathers anyone! Now everyone look back on this site and see how many times the top two contenders (Brachus and Ensign)were brought up on this list. Probably could count them on one big toe! Now count the times Holder and Waters were mentioned. Probably several dozen times or more. Not that anyone here would be biased would you? So many of you are still covering for Republicans while slashing and burning Democrats. When it comes to dishonesty at least we know who you will and won’t burn at the stake for political points.

      • Pat

The top two on the list are Republicans!

Ron Paul is the only one I absolutely trust to keep his word.

      • Steve

You must know Ron Paul personally for that kind of endorsement. Good luck with that….

      • Caroline

Steve, you don’t need to know Ron Paul personally to trust him absolutely. Just look at his record over the past 30+ years and his efforts to enforce the Constitution and prevent the economic situation we have ourselves in now.

      • Jag

I would have to agree, as Ron Paul is the only one I would trust, and the only one I know personally. There is no perfect person and all have their faults. If we could take the attributes of 3 candidates for President and combine them into just 1, we would have the perfect candidate.

      • Marlene

Two out of ten on the top 10? Wow – sleeze at it’s worst but we’ll just give a slide to your party. As far as Reid and Pelosi are concerned, they’re two of the three worst horses in the race for first on the top ten, with Obama being first. Try6 as you may, Eddie, you can’t avoid facts.

      • eddie47d

I think Marlene is the one having trouble with the facts. Now if you can’t comprehend then take up your problem with Bob or Judicial Watch.

      • http://google Leonard W. Giddens

Eddie, ever heard of insider treading? Pelosi should be on the list.

      • Steve

It very much looks like you are asleep when it comes to the group running for President on the TPGOP ticket… The current leader of that pack wants to limit liberties in the Constitution and that should be a treasonable offense… But all of them want to limit all of us who are not very wealthy or a big corporation…

      • JUKEBOX

Eddie, there is no Congressman named Brachus. If you are going to speak ill of someone, get your name right. If you don’t think “DIRTY HARRY” is corrupt, you must have been smoking some of Obama’s dope.

      • eddie47d

I didn’t know the spelling police were out today Jukebox but thanks for the heads up. Apparently you were too busy over looking the real issue.

      • Edeard

Eddie and all others, the list is in alphabetical order! Read more closely. Just a suggestion!

      • CJM

Where have you been eddie47? Reid is one of the sleeziest, corrupt, slime of the group and should have been on the top 10. Drummed up charges? Really? That paracitic tapeworm is nothing more than a conteptible piece of slag…Nevadans ought to be ashamed that he is still in office.

    • wandamurline

This is the reason that every person who has been in office longer than 10 years needs their can kick down the road in 2012. Go green and recycle congress….we will just have to replace them every stinking time they come up for re-election until we get honest people who want to do their job within the limitations of the Constitution. Rick Perry had a good idea…make them part-time…that is what our forefathers had in mind.

      • Pat

“Go green and recycle congress…” and “make them part-time”. These are two good ideas. Also, have them do meetings via computer (can’t remember what this is called) instead of traveling in and out of D.C. at our expense.

      • Marlene

Having meetings via computer sounds like a nice cost cutter and interesting, but – can they spell well enough for the recipient to get the gist of what they’re saying? Some are true morons and I think Patty Murray of Washington State holds the title to be the very top moron in the brains department.

      • JUKEBOX

We need to send Patty some new tennis shoes.

      • professor

They can use Skype and have real conversations that can be recorded and a video made of the meeting!

        Easy…

      • WickedPickle

“can they spell well enough for the recipient to get the gist of what they’re saying?”

I don’t think it’s as much the spelling as the total comprehension of the garble itself, however.. As a tax paying citizen, I would gladly contribute my fair share toward spell checks for certain political dumb azzez (with instructions for use of course).

      • L.P.

Ah yes…..Patty Murray…just another government whore…and with *0* brain capacity.

      • Ed Mack

They only work part time now for full time pay cause the rest of their time they’re on vacation or getting in somebodies pants. Apparently sex doesn’t matter; or should I say gender?

    • JCfromDC

As Mark Twain once remarked, “the only NATIVE criminal class to the United States is the Congress.” But he was talking about street crime (pickpockets) at the time to a European visitor. Was he?

      • Bob Marshall

Thank for reminding me about Mark twain. ” Suppose you were and idiot and suppose you were a member of congress,But i repeat myself.” Mark Twain

      • Joe H.

        JCfromDC,
Mark Twain also said ” respect your country always. respect your government when they EARN it!” Very smart man, that!!!

      • s c

JoeH, it’s no coincidence that America attracts LOSERS for politicians. H L Mencken, Mark Twain and many other brilliant people knew how to spot and accurately define elected filth. Over the years, politics has become a magnet for sociopaths and easily-trained pigs and lemmings.
For what it’s worth, JoeH, I just finished Twain’s Autobiography (vol. 1).
Twain or Mencken would have been vast improvements over 99% of the semi-human filth who have infested Washington since the late 19th century. As a rule,
people who last long enough to retire in Washington earned damn little of what they take with them. And that includes perks that ‘go with the job,’ retirement and the UNDESERVED respect that ‘some’ people love to throw their way.

      • Joe H

        SC,
Very true!! There is one exception in Ron Paul, I believe!! I think he has kept his morality during his tenure!!

      • MRMO

GOOD SAYING WAY TO GO JOE.

      • skip

Ron would have been quite alright for 1840, but he isn’t in the real world now. Try to pay for leukemia treatment with chickens, eggs, and the like for the hospitals, doctors, and nurses. Eliminate the EPA and let people decide where they want to live? Your living room will be fracked, your streams and waterways converted to toxic waste – those are decisions to made by individuals??!!?? Get real – we wouldn’t have any places remaining to live safely. Now elminating all wars would be great and save on hell of a lot of money and ruined lives and families- he is right on the mark there. The Busch catastrophes in Iraq and Afghanistan speak to that – there went 2 trillion down the rat hole for no gain, massive loss of blood and treasure, a destroyed middle east balance of power, and the resurgence of Iran. Neither of these countries were our enemies. Al Quaeda was and is, but a member of al Quaeda had a less than one minute life expectancy in Iraq before our bungled intervention.

    • Lee Hazel

Good Reply: For these readers/writers, don’t miss Machelle Malkins’s book, “Cultere of Corruption”. It layes this out very well.

      • Lee Hazel

        oops. “Michelle”

      • Alex

Michelle Malkin is a disturbed whore.

      • Stan Smith

And your are a disturbed Libtard! Sorry Libturd there are more Libtard whores in your democrap party! She really must got into you Libards nerves! Truth is a bitch! And Libtards can’t handle it! Alex go change your diapers! You reek this site with your Libtard crap!

      • professor

Alex, you need to be thrown off this blog.

      • libertytrain

Alex, I’m guessing there are many including Ms. Malkin that would more than likely think the same of you.

      • Honestly

        Can’t we just be nice?????

    • Andre

34 states could call for a Constitutional Convention. That would be an attempt at solving the corruption with a nonviolent solution.

      • Matt Newell

You can be assured that the cons in congress would make sure they rewrote the Constitution to make themselves leaders for life and the rest of us criminals for life. Remember the group who wrote the Constitution were supposed to fix the Articles of Confederation not make something new. What makes you think a Constitutional Convention wouldn’t turn out the same way (only this time they would make most of us serfs rather than free)?

      • Jag

We aren’t living in 1789, when a con con was called to make changes in the Articles of Confederation. We were moving toward that 34 number, and good sense kicked in; that’s when we put the brakes on and tried to get states to rescind their call. Can you imagine what kind of Constitution we would have, with the people we have in government, if a con con were called? It would probably be more suited to a totalitarian regime, than a sovereign Republic.

    • Phil

Hey…what about Pelosi’s “you have to pass the bill before we let you see what’s in it” speech?? What about Maxine Waters’ gaff to the oil companies about “when we socialize…..err…take over your businesses”,etc??? These people need to be exposed for the communists they are!! At least Van Jones resigned when he openly admitted his communist beliefs. Anita Dunn lumping the murderer Mao Tse Tung with Mother Theresa??

      • joe H.

        Phil,
It was even worse than THAT! she said “I guess we have to pass it to see what is in it”. SHE didn’t even know what was in it!!!

      • Ed Mack

and they did; BUT they still WON’T read it. I would guess of all the books we read comic books are the most honest.
