Debunking The Anti-Paul Messages

Debunking The Anti-Paul Messages

The Republican establishment has become apoplectic over Congressman Ron Paul’s growing strength in Iowa.

Last week, Iowa Governor Terry Branstad attempted to delegitimize his own State’s vote when he said that if Paul wins the Iowa Caucus, it won’t matter. Of course, if Newt Gingrich or Mitt Romney wins, he won’t say that. In fact, according to Branstad, a second- or third-place finish by Gingrich or Romney will be more important than a Paul win.

“People are going to look at who comes in second and who comes in third. If Romney comes in a strong second, it definitely helps him going into New Hampshire and other states,” Branstad reportedly said. What Branstad did not say was that he’s been offered a potential Vice President spot on a Romney ticket.

Branstad and his elite bedfellows are trying to draw you into an alternate universe. Never mind that two out of the past three winners of the Iowa Caucus have gone on to win the Republican nomination, a Paul win will mean the Iowa vote is irrelevant.

According to a new Iowa State University/Gazette/KCRG poll of likely Republican caucus-goers, Paul has moved into first place – the fifth candidate to hold that spot since the mid-August Iowa GOP Straw Poll. This is the second recent poll showing a Paul lead.

In the ISU poll, Paul is the first choice for 27.5 percent of the registered Republicans and registered independents contacted. That’s up from 20.4 percent in November. Gingrich is the second choice with 25.3 percent, and Romney was third at 17.5 percent.

For months, the Republican elites and corporate media have treated Paul like that cranky old uncle that continues to show up at family gatherings. They’ve tried ignoring him and they’ve tried dismissing him. They’ve been running a continuous communication loop that says, “Ron Paul can’t win.” Yet, here he is, on the cusp of an Iowa victory and showing remarkable strength in New Hampshire.

A common refrain from Republicans is: “I like most of what Ron Paul says, but I can’t vote for him because of his ‘isolationist’ foreign policy.” When they say that, what are they saying?

After all, many Republicans say they can easily vote for Gingrich even though they don’t agree on some of his positions: i.e. infidelity, national database of gun owners, support for the recently passed National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) that permits the indefinite detention of Americans upon the President’s order, support of cap-and-trade, support of individual mandates to purchase healthcare, support of TARP and bailouts, etc. And many Republicans say they can vote for Romney, the author – essentially — of Obamacare (through his Romneycare), who has flipped and flopped on core Republican issues like a fish in the bottom of a boat. And they say they can vote for Michele Bachmann, who voted for the USA Patriot Act and the NDAA.

They are saying, simply, that they have been so terrorized by their government and the mainstream media they are willing to surrender all their freedom and wealth to the military industrial complex and big government so people in a foreign land can be bombed into submission and subjugation. Years of government propaganda and years of war have cemented in their minds the need for perpetual war.

For my conservative friends who don’t like Paul because of his noninterventionist — because that’s what his policy is, and he describes what that means here — foreign policy, consider how long we have been at war in the Mideast.

America and the CIA have been meddling in the affairs of Middle Eastern countries for decades. Read The Secret History of The American Empire, by John Perkins. In 1990, after an American ambassador hinted to Saddam Hussein that the United States would not stand in his way were he to take over territory that was in dispute between Iraq and Kuwait, President George H.W. Bush and the United Nations formed a coalition to bloody his nose. We have been in a shooting war in the region ever since.

After 21 years of war in the region, are things any better? Apparently not, because the war has expanded from Iraq into Afghanistan, Pakistan and Libya, and it is about to expand into Syria and Iran. And American troops are in Central Africa in an “advisory” role. Yet Americans thirst for more war and the top Republican candidates, according to the elites, are advocating more.

“But,” Republicans say, “Iran is about to get The Bomb. We can’t let Iran get The Bomb!” And how do we know that Iran is about to get The Bomb? From those same people who told us — inaccurately, it turns out — that Iraq was about to acquire nuclear weapons.

Iran, which is OPEC’s second largest oil producer, can’t even refine enough gasoline for its own people. It has no reliable missile system. And we are to believe it’s technologically capable of producing a nuclear weapon?

“But what about Israel?” Republicans then ask. Israel has a couple hundred, at least, nuclear weapons sitting at the ready and is perfectly capable of defending herself.

Consider that there is much more at work here than meets the eye. To understand what is really going on, you must peel back the layers of conventional wisdom, like peeling an onion. There are nefarious maneuverings of nongovernment organizations (NGOs) at work. Few are able to escape their normalcy bias to see this.

The plan for the takeover of the vast oil reserves and riches of the region have been in the works for a long time. NGOs have worked behind the scenes and in secret to shape the policy. But the Brookings Institute became so confident the policy had reached the point of no return that it released its blueprint in 2009.

This is why Presidential candidates are vetted by the Council on Foreign Relations and the Bilderberg group before receiving approval to run. They must sign on to the New World Order to receive the proper backing and financial support. And it’s why the knives will be out in full force in the coming weeks to destroy Paul and his candidacy. (Previously debunked claims of racism surfaced again last week.)

Another question to ask yourself: If a potentially nuclear-armed Iran is such a danger to us, what about an actually nuclear-armed North Korea? Why are we the elites not cowering in fear that North Korea could launch a missile at any second? After all, North Korea actually has a missile that can reach our friends and fellow democracies in South Korea and Japan — and can probably reach portions of the U.S. West Coast.

What about a nuclear-armed Pakistan, which likes us less and less with each drone strike and violation of their territorial integrity?

What about Russia and China, who will be very offended if the United States leads an assault on Iran and Syria? Russia has already stationed warships near Syria, and China is unhappy with President Barack Obama’s military buildup in Australia and is responding by beefing up its military in the Indian Ocean. And you think this militarism is making the United States safer?

Finally, my conservative friends, one last question for you to consider: If Paul’s foreign policy is “crazy,” as many of you say, why have members of the military given more to his campaign than to anyone else’s? Could it be they have seen the dark core that lies beneath?

And before the “Ron Paul can’t beat Obama. We must elect someone who can defeat Obama,” chorus chimes in, a new CNN/ORC International Poll shows Paul faring the same against Obama in a head-to-head matchup as the “more electable” Romney. Gingrich fares far worse.

Let’s see, WE followed the Change Vote and have none left. We voted for BUSH and were left with an empty US Treasury given to Paulson and friends to distribute as they chose to HEDGE FUNDS who focused upon stealing retirement accounts and 401k plans rather than investing in American manufacturing and productivity. They saddled investments pretending to support the financial infrastructure when they were, in actuality, shorting it.

Now, CONGRESS has proven it doesn’t work, actually and functionally, as is, unless you understand their focus to give money away to receive kick-backs and commissions from recipients. The Judiciary, is owned by HEDGE FUNDS and cleans up after Congress using the Bankruptcy Courts to steal from Veterans and retirees: Aventine Renewable Energy, Anthracite Capital, etoys and WAMU, a track record of Judges, lawyers and US Trustees could fill an encyclopedia. It is corrupt, to sa the least.

FINALLY, our President has a supportive following who watch and contribute to his $Billion Treasure Chest while listing all he has done to rise above the thieves and liars in Congress and the Judiciary.

RON PAUL…willing to eliminate the salaries for life, STOP all Aid, GRANTS and Entiitlements and bring our soldiers, Ambassadors and Foreign diplomats to rebuild OUR Country while making the citizenry responsible for themselves…

I see why THE INSIDERS are afraid !

  • http://verizon.net budman

Well Bob, your love of Ron Paul is showing and your rah rah piece for him and trashing of the conservative did not impress me at all.

You imply that everyone of the candidates except Ron Paul have to receive their instruction from the Bilderbergs is quite a stretch.

I do agree with you on our involvement in the middle east but with a caveat. I have said many times that history should have been a warning about military involvement in the middle east. That said brings me to the one glaring problem about Ron Paul as President.
I believe any good intelligence analyst would tell you that Iran, with an unstable President and militant cleric are dead set on obtaining nuclear weapons and then to control the entire middle east. It is more than obvious because they have stated this desire.
We can’t be so blind not to understand this would create a critical situation if Iran controlled the flow of oil in that area and I assure you China, Russia and the United States will become involved. The New World Order group will not be a player other than financial manipulation. They haven’t been doing that well lately with their experiment in Europe falling like dominos and their hand will grow even weaker when these countries intervene to protect their economic interests.
The truth is talking to Iran is a waste of time as dialogue will fall on their deaf ears. You then have a choice; sit back and let it happen which will result in a major conflict in that area or take the necessary steps to avoid it. My approach would be to cause internal problems within Iran to dismantle their plan to dominate the middle east. This is in conflict with Ron Paul’s theory of non involvement in other countries affairs. The wait and see attitude leading up to World War II seems to be happening again yet you want to see a man with narrow minded views to hold the highest office. Well sir, I disagree and believe you will see scenario unfold as mentioned unless action is taken very soon to prevent it.

Watch “Thrive the Movie” at http://www.thrivemovement.com or any of the YouTube videos that can give you info about what’s really going on here.

    • DGKNJ

I am a huge Ron Paul fan. I must also show concern about the situation regarding Iran. Ron Paul states they have never attacked anyone, as far as I know they haven’t. The US made so many enemies that the threat of a nuke in Iran is real. We have lost the chance to have a friendly relationship there(like Iran does with USSR and China). The only chance would be for the people of Iran to change course/leaders, but again, many hate the US.

      • Karolyn

So who cares if they hate us? There is nothing we could do for them to like us. Use us, maybe, but not like us.

    • Lost in Paradise

Budman I think you want to advance a couple of plays and get straight to WW3.

      • http://verizon.net budman

Just the opposite friend. If you have read any of my previous statements, you will see I was firmly against our involvement in the middle east and in fact pi–ed that our government could be so stupid as to not recognize the futility of attempting change in an area that has been feuding for centuries. Being a veteran and having fought in Viet Nam, I have no taste for another war.
What I was projecting is an opinion of what likely will happen if Iran is left to do as they please. This is as much about protection of needed resources as much as what happens if Iran attempts to control the middle east. This is their stated desire, I didn’t make this up. No, It would be great if there were no more wars but this is just wishful thinking.

    • mickey

budman, you do realize we knew what was going on in Europe and stood down. The very thought of Hitler getting to the NWO before us (clear back to the turn of the century) and the realization that Roosevelt’s New Deal was failing was a huge impetus for us going into WWII.

There wasn’t any “wait and see”. We knew it.

      • http://verizon.net budman

I beg to disagree. How far had the Nazi’s advanced before we got into the fray but the United States did get involved. Other countries in Europe just didn’t want to believe they would be attacked and failed to recognize the threat.
We were just as guilty about Pearl Harbor where many died because they ignored an alert from Australian outpost that would have given them hours to go into defensive mode.
I had two uncles who were drafted and sent into World War II, one severely wounded and a cousin who was a prisoner of war in Korea who was about 225 pounds of solid muscle and all American athlete. He came home weighing around 80 pounds, bald or had poor eyesight. It made me angry when it was suggested I wanted to see a third world war when I know in my heart I have the opposite view. The Tet offensive in Viet Nam took a toll on me I still have horrible memories of my time there. Nobody in their right mind would wish for war. I am only expressing an opinion and I do have a background in study and analysis of other countries of the world to include the middle east. One can agree or disagree with my opinion and that is fine and I will only say time will either prove or disprove what I said.

    • DaveH

Why does Iran hate the US? I can’t imagine:
      http://www.iranchamber.com/history/coup53/coup53p1.php

Do you really think, Budman, that Iran would dare to launch a missile against the US, or even one of our allies? They’re religious fanatics, but they aren’t stupid.
Big Government’s greatest Propaganda weapon to gain blindered followers? Fear.

  • Alex

    “Previously debunked claims of racism…”?

Debunked by who? Ron Paul? Rand Paul? David Duke?

Look, let’s play the rube for a moment and accept that Mr Paul did not write the particular newsletter entries now causing him so much well-deserved trouble.

It is HIS newsletter and it is HIS name on the masthead as editor. So he goes for a weekend with Dick Cheney to shoot pheasants and peasants and while away some dumb intern slips in a story that causes Paul to cringe upon his return. Where was his outrage, his embarrassment at having his good clean name linked with dirt? Not once, not twice or thrice, but over and over again.

Bob Livingston is not accountable for the things I post on his website—he has removed some of my less-polite entries and I applaud that—but I am NOT a writer on his staff. My PLD posts, like all the others, are but letters-to-the-editor. The newsletter articles that have Mr Paul in the hot seat were just that—articles printed under a masthead that showed the Editor to be Ron Paul.

Again, these were not isolated instabces, nor were they submissions from the public at large. These were articles for which the Editor and Publisher are responsible.

If Mr Paul cannot exhibit good judgement with something as simple as a two-bit newsletter, how on Earth do think he can lead a country?

The one area where Mr Paul makes sense is with regard to our bloated and nasty mercenary military. In his second term, the ineffective President Barack Hussein Obama would do well to include Mr Paul in the planning for the dismantling of the current standing armed farces.

    • mickey

Alex, look at the YT vids made by blacks. The race card died with obama. It is time to move on.

      • Alex

        I’m not running for president.

      • Alex

PS–I’m not playing the Race Card, m’am, I am playing the Truth and Integrity Card…..ooooh—SMACK!

      • mickey

doesn’t matter black or not, the race card was played. Makes one crawl back into the box and not look any place else. Worked for nearly 60 yrs but blacks are wising up. Whites too.

So which version of the interview did you watch? The altered one or the whole interview.

Want integrity? Where is he in a white sheet throughout these years? Individual is where he is, not group think.

      • DaveH

        Alex,
Truth is not what you spread on this board.
What are the racist statements allegedly made by Ron Paul?
And please, break the mold and post some references, instead of just expecting us to take the unreliable words of a Liberal.

      • DaveH

And Alex, I’m curious to know how a Liberal thinks.
Liberals say they don’t like war.
Liberals say they want to be free to put whatever poisons they want in their own bodies.
Liberals say they want to be free to have sex with whomever willing they please.
Liberals say they want to be free to gamble away their own money.
Ron Paul would let you do all those often foolish things. So what’s left? What is it that Ron Paul wouldn’t allow you to do that upsets you? I mean besides the fact that he wouldn’t allow you to ride on other peoples’ backs?

      • Charles

Well at least you’re not playing the race card.

So let’s discuss Truth and Integrity. Which one of the other candidates has them? Flip (Pick of GHWBush/CFR/RomneyObamaCare) Romney? Newt “Infidelity”/CFR Gingrinch? Hermann “Federal Reserve”/”Can’t stand the heat” Cain? Michelle “IRS lawyer”/”destroy civil liberties” Bachmann? Rick “Bomb the $#i+ out of the brown people/ world empire at any cost/destroy civil liberties” Santorum?

How will they “lead the country”? News Flash!! It’s not the job of the president to “lead the country”, the job of the President is to uphold, defend and obey the Constitution. None these guys even know what the Constitution says. Every single one of the candidates except Ron Paul supports the destruction of civil liberties, the essence of achieving truth and integrity in the legal system. How’s that for “integrity”?

Yet Ron Paul did not micromanage something, therefore you excoriate him. I don’t like micromanagers. Truth? Integrity? Ron Paul has these. He also has perspective. You have none of these things, nor do any of the your potential candidates.

Or maybe you see Obama as being the bastion of truth and integrity?

It’s obvious that you would rather live in a tyranny than not, and you are so detached you don’t even see it.

    • Lost in Paradise

Alex,I happen to think a little racism would get us out of this mess we are now in.

      • mickey

I think the “divide” and conquer’ is losing its appeal. Racism, religious, whatever, is not going to save us. The first thing that happened with 911 was we all united. Since then, it is divide, divide, divide.

The fear of both sides is that we will unite under the flag, the Constitution and the BR.

  • johnd

I changed from the Constitution Party to the Republican in the last election so that I could vote Paul in the primaries.
The reason Paul won’t win is that there are too many votes making their living from the gov’t. trough. Big business and labor unions need big gov’t. to help them control the markets so they will fight him tooth and nail.Foreign interests would lose their American welfare and like it or not they have a lot of say in our policies.
The Republicans should quit wasting money on trying to beat Obama and concentrate the resources on taking the senate and keeping the house. Obama could do nothing and if an impeachement was called for (and I think it should already have happened) there would be a chance of it happening.

    • sorighton

I think Paul won’t win because people remember his out of this world debates from the past several times he has run for president. He has calmed down a little bit this time around. If the gubber rich liberals are funding his campaign just to get Obama re-elected I hope it doesn’t work for them. I’m still searching for a candidate with Paul’s Constitutional values yet willing to have the military to keep our country from being taken over by a new world order. I’m thinking it could be Perry if he could get some traction.

      • mickey

lol, go to the dailypaul and I think you will see that Paul’s supporters are the nickel and dime peasant citizens. Check Romney and you will find big banks.

If you change your mind, please add $5 to his campaign. It isn’t much, but it means a lot. You can even slay a dragon (I think this is still free) and a $5 donation will be made.

Lest we forget billion dollar obama.

      • SpecialKinNJ

barackobama.com will settle for $3 donations that entitle donors to a chance to dine with “Barack and Michelle”! Against the obvious appeal of that invitation, an appeal for $5 with no corresponding lottery won’t encourage equally massive par.ti.ci.pa.tion. Sorry.

      • mickey

And the chances of winning the lottery is?

No, thanks, if I am to give money for anything, it will be those old worn-out documents.

      • sorighton

I don’t think so but thanks for the offer. It’s easy to run big bucks through small donations. Look at Geo Soros and his small sidelines. I have not decided who to support but this blog is scaring me. I don’t want another four years of what we have; in fact, it will not take that long for our country to go under. Don’t mistake – I like some of Paul’s ideals but I also think there are other candidates with those same thoughts only younger and more level-headed. My concern is that the liberal educational system in our country has brain washed our young people into thinking there is only one candidate that is so conservative/liberatarian that he is almost liberal in some ways. I’m all for old people (I am one) but maybe not as old as Paul or as young as Obama was. Sometimes Knowledge and Wisdom are world’s apart.

      • SpecialKinNJ

Knowledge, wisdom and age, as well, may be too far apart.
Didn’t someone once say, “Too soon old, too late smart”?

      • mickey

Oh they spout the words ok but other than Paul, none stated the Congress has war powers, not the prez. But, at least, they are beginning to read the Constitution and the Bill of Rights now.

I guess that is what I call a leader, one whom is followed (at least in the right way this time).

      • mickey

Paul is still not as old as the Constitution and Bill of Rights. So what is the problem? He is only the messenger.

      • kkflash

Ron Paul’s age is one of his greatest strengths as a candidate. You see he’s too old to care about the power to be gained by the constant pandering to special interests that characterizes all the other candidates. While they’re glad-handing to gather political favors that they can later cash in on, Ron Paul will actually be working to solve our nation’s dire problems.

      • Charles

” I’m still searching for a candidate with Paul’s Constitutional values yet willing to have the military to keep our country from being taken over by a new world order.”

Excuse me? The NWO is taking over by destroying our Liberty (USA Patriot Act, Indefinite Detention, etc, etc, etc). We are losing because of INTERNAL DECAY (loss of the Constitution). The NWO is succeeding by doing this and they are getting away with it by fooling people into believing that the threat is external. The external threat is no miniscule to a free country. The internal rot is what is killing us. The NWO is INTERNAL.

Please educate yourself. Rick Perry is ONE OF THE NWO, as is every war hawk, even as they pretent they fight the NWO by falling for the external threat mythology.

Ben Franklin said, approximately: He who gives up a little Liberty for security, deserves neither and will get neither.

      • SpecialKinNJ

He wasn’t exactly a latter-day Benjamin Franklin, but didn’t Barry (Goldwater, that is) say “extremism in the cause of liberty is no vice”? Or something similar in meaning?

      • sorighton

Oh Perry is a “war hawk”???? Thanks for educating me. Peace comes through strength. I would think Benjamin might have been referring to our internally libery which we certain have lost in the last three years. I’m all for LIBERTY and FREEDOM. The Iowa motto is “Our Liberties We Prize – Our Rights We Will Maintain”………..Lesson for the day.

      • mickey

Are you confusing “liberal” with “libertarian”? A liberal wants your money to give to others. A libertarian wants you to keep your money.

      • DaveH

Then you’re looking for the wrong candidate, sorighton. Spreading our military throughout the world, in the process impoverishing our nation, is the sure recipe for building our enemies ranks and enabling them to overrun our country someday, maybe sooner than we think.

      • sorighton

You are SO RIGHT ON. I am still looking for a president who can walk and chew gum at the same time. I am looking for a candidate who does not have tunnel vision. I am still looking for a candidate who will keep America safe and build our economy with private sector jobs. It can be done with the right president and the right congress. Many of Paul’s ideas are fine – I just wish he had more of them extending past the borders of our country. But I digress

  • Ruth

Ron Paul is a humble man who gently but firmly projects Courage, Conviction and Constitutional Character…show me a better candidate from any political persuasion and this Iowa Republican will vote for them! See you at the caucus! GO RON GO!!

  • John Acord

The Republican Old Guard Establishment is deathly afraid of Ron Paul and his supporters. They know that from the ranks of tens of thousands of Paul activists will come forth the leaders of the next generation. They may be able to derail Paul but not the movement. The movement will grow and dominate the Republican Party within the next two elections. These old canards of slow growth socialism will soon be cast on the ash heaps of history.

  • SpecialKinNJ

In what appears to be a minority opinion, this reader perceives Rep. Paul’s views as “eccentric”, especially those having to do with identifying those who are “out to get us” and taking steps accordingly. As Tony Blair put it back in 2001 regarding the aims of the late Osama and his minions: “If they (the 9/11 murderers) could have killed 500,000, they most surely would have done it” (exact number is not so important as the implications regarding the nature of civilization’s common enemy).

The best service Mr. Paul could perform today, would be to run “away” and not again campaign to be president of the U.S.A.

Of course, we cannot account for the constituency in Texas that elevated him to the House and has continued to sustain him there in residence (and also refuse to characterize him or them in terms at whose use either might, with cause, take offense–except for “eccentric”, a non-pejorative for present purposes and intents).

    • Karolyn

You need to think outside the box.

      • Sirian

Very few know how to “step out of the box” Karolyn, very few.

      • Charles

SpecialKinNJ needs to get off the Kool Aid. There is not much thinking in quoting elitist Tony Blair.

If we had not been screwing around in the Middle East for the last 60 years or more, perhaps we might not be attracting such problems. Only Ron Paul would stop screwing with those people. Speaking of Tony Blair, the British government have been colonializing far longer, screwing around in the Middle East for decades before we got there to help out poor floundering little monarchic England, as the sun set on its Empire, owing to the fact that 1) they were an imperial power and 2) they became more and more statist thus destroying the productivity of the English people.

      • SpecialKinNJ

Further eccentricity in the utterances of a supporter of Mr. Paul is hardly unexpected–indeed is par for the course and recognized as such whenever detected.

      • Alex Frazier

If you think eccentricity is a character attribute to be shunned, then you clearly think that our nation’s leadership should continue on its present course. And if the extent of your wisdom has determined that we should continue doing what we’ve been doing, then I don’t think your opinion counts for much. Even the politically illiterate are able to comprehend that what we’ve been doing for the last decade isn’t working. If it’s not working, then we need to try something different, which is what eccentricity is, to stray from the present course or established path. By definition, which I’m sure many people are aware of, insanity is doing the same thing over and over with the expectation of different results.

If you are against eccentricity, then by default you advocate insanity.

Give me Ron Paul over insanity any day.

      • http://lamebrained-ideas.blogspot.com C.Davis

Looks like Capt rich g had to call in his supervisor after we “made” him. As usual, he had to switch to a different handle, too.
I’m sure their bosses supply them with at cost opiates so they can sleep at night.

    • mickey

Umm can’t remember the exact details but I think the US blackmailed Blair–take away support for debt restructuring or something along those lines.

      • SpecialKinNJ

A somewhat eccentric view of Tony Blair’s motivation
in identifying civilization’s common enemy–without reservation.

      • JC

        Blair is just another Globalist.
Quoting him does not strengthen your view in any way.

    • DaveH

      SpecialKinNJ,
as Hitler said “How fortunate for leaders that men do not think”.

Do you think the Leaders (with the exception of Ron and a few others) are going to openly undermine their own power and perks by exposing to the people that they are working hand in hand with their Crony Capitalists so that a very small percentage of the population (themselves) can thrive and prosper at the citizens’ expense?

i don’t think a bit of isolationism would hurt this country a bit. seems since clintons and the firrst bushes globalism kicked in everything has gone to crap and we’re on the worst end of it. look at the price we live under. i think if we pulled back away from everthing for a while and took care of ourselves first things might get better.

    • mickey

Please look up the definition of “isolation” and “non-intervention”. The terms are not interchangeable.

  • 57girl

If I lived in Iowa and Ron Paul won, then was dismissed, I would be moving to have my Governor impeached. What the Governor is saying is that the people’s will does not matter if it is not in line with the ‘establishments’ agenda. The global elite are terrified of a Ron Paul win. He would turn our Nation back on course to our Constitution, begin restoring our rights, and ease us out from under the thumb of the bankers that own the majority of the Politicians. Ron Paul is the only Candidate in the race that is running for the love of his County. The rest are puppets, that will sell this Nation out for power and personal gain. Pay attention people. This may be our last shot to salvage our Sovereign identity. As far as Dr. Paul’s ideas on Foreign Policy go, study our recent (1953 forward) Military History. Is is America that is the aggressor and has been for almost 60 years. The facts are out there. Please, for the sake of peace and our financial security seek the truth. Ron Paul is absolutely correct in his views on Foreign Policy and our role in policing the world. Aside from the fact, we cannot financially afford to rule the world, what other Sovereign Nations do is none of our concern unless they impose a DIRECT threat to OUR National Security. Who would actually attack be so stupid as to invade America? That’s right . . . Nobody.

    • sorighton

Does that mean the aggressive United States bombed our twin towers?

      • mickey

Remember that song “Coward of the County”. The links are back to Saudi Arabia, have to look for them, but we have been their hired guns for quite some time.

Then take a serious look at the vids on YT, the Towers and Bldg 7. The Pentagon has a hole the size of my house. There is no way, have to be familiar with the layout of the Pentagon, any jet plane could make so small a hole and leave no debris.

Don’t feel bad, it took me several years to really look up this stuff and to change my mind about the whole thing.

      • sorighton

        OMG. What can I say?

@ tom justin: are you looking to enlist? do you want your kids to enlist? then shut up about whats going to happen over there! lets worry about whats going to happen here. we are bankrupt and cannot afford another endless, meaningless, unjust and undeclared war. brainwashed people like are the problem. you’ve been so accustomed to our country being in perpetual war that you think thats normal. its not. lets secure our own borders and let other nations secure their own.
china, india, pakistan, n. korea, and russia have nukes, should we attack them? let iran get a nuke which they havent done yet anyway. israel has 300 nukes of their own, the best military in the mid east that american money can buy and the best economy in the region. they dont need our presence or our troops. by the way, israel was just caught selling missiles, built and paid for by the US, to china. so much for our ally, huh?

“The 20th century has been characterized by three developments of great political importance: the growth of democracy; the growth of corporate power; and the growth of corporate propaganda as a means of protecting corporate power against democracy.” -Alex Carey, Australian social scientist who pioneered the investigation of corporate propaganda

Following reports of serious financial abuses in the 1972 Presidential campaign, Congress amended the FECA in 1974 to set limits on contributions by individuals, political parties and PACs. But politicians exempted the commercial press, because the 1st Amendment prohibits abridging their freedom of speech and the press.

    2 USC 431 (9) (B) (i) The term “expenditure” does not include any news story, commentary, or editorial distributed through the facilities of any broadcasting station, newspaper, magazine, or other periodical publication, unless such facilities are owned or controlled by any political party, political committee, or candidate;

It is normal for all large businesses to make serious efforts to influence the news, to avoid embarrassing publicity, and to maximize sympathetic public opinion and government policies. Now they own most of the news media that they wish to influence. – Excerpt from The Media Monopoly by Ben H. Bagdikian

Communications for mass distribution are the only thing campaigns produce. If the commercial media were to carry political ads for free, as a public service, it would greatly reduce the need for money in politics. But corporate media make billions carrying political ads.

Super pacs do not restore equal rights for flesh and blood citizens but they can help ‘we the people’ compete with the voice of the corporations; commercial media!

The NRA bought a radio station. Should like minded citizens have to buy a radio station to exercise freedom of speech or a newspaper to exercise freedom of the press? How do campaign laws that give megaphones to corporate media and muzzle the voices of grass roots get corporate influence out of elections?

The press exemption divides participation in America’s political process into two categories: The regulated majority, every living U.S. Citizen, candidate for office, political party and political organization and the unregulated commercial media.

To restore equal protection under law, the “press exemption”, 2 USC 431 (9) (B) (i), should be modified to read: “The term expenditure does not include any news story, commentary, or editorial distributed by any candidate, political party, citizen, citizens group, non-profit corporation, broadcasting station, newspaper, magazine, or other periodical publication.”

    • kkflash

Though I abhor government regulation of just about anything, your post gave me an idea that I think would help get some of the money out of politics. The FCC licenses radio and television stations, right? So, what if we made it a condition of having that license, that you must provide, without cost, a certain amount of political airtime, to be doled out to registered candidates for public office on an “equal time” basis? It wouldn’t stop the parties from buying time, but it would give a media voice to the underfunded.

  • http://www.wethepeoplenation.com/content.php Jasonsdad

Ron Paul is either crazy or lying plain and simple in the last debate he stated and I Quote (Kennedy called Khrushchev and talked him out of a nuclear exchange.)

This statement is so far from the truth I don’t no where to begin. First Kennedy never spoke directly to Khrushchev. Paul would have younger generations believe that Jack and his buddy Nikita had a nice phone conversation, then while smoking Cuban cigars and sipping brandy came to a mutual agreement. All negotiations were done through secret emissaries by letters. The Moscow to Washington hot line came about after this crisis or because of it.

Next Paul fails to mention that our whole military was on alert we went to DEFCON 2 which is one step from all out nuclear war. We blockaded Cuba dropped depth charges on a Soviet sub. The diplomacy worked because of the BIG STICK our military was waving.

I was a child when this happened we had regular air raid drills in case of a nuclear attack. I don’t know what planet he was on when this occurred. Maybe RP was trying out the drugs he wants to legalize now, but his statement is just a flat out misrepresentation of history.

Cuban Missile Crisis can be found at WIKI

This is just one easily verifiable lie he tells more recent lies are when he says Michele Bachmann is not telling the truth about the IAEA report. Her is the report read it and decide who’s lying http://isis-online.org/uploads/isis-…n_8Nov2011.pdf

    • Lost in Paradise

I was about 15 when all this went down, and I do believe that Kennedy did have some communication with Nekita. All that really happened, as I remember it, was the kremlin tryed to bluff us, but it did not work, and the act of calling his bluff scared his communist ass.

    • Alex Frazier

Jasonsdad, “talking” to Khrushchev may simply be a figure of speech. Whether Kennedy did the talking or one of his secretaries talked to him, the point is that the issue was resolved through dialog rather than an exchange of fire.

We may have been at DEFCON 2, blockading Cuba, etc., but we were able to do that because our forces were at home. Right now our forces are in the middle east.

I’ll get back to you on the IAEA report.

      • Mike W.

Virtually all the communiques were done via telegram or radio teletype back then. When Kruschev sent a letter via telegram, it required the services of a translator. Also keep in mind Russian is written in the Cyrillic alphabet. Transliteration into the Latin alphabet required the utmost scrutiny. Get something wrong and the perception could have been disatrous!
I remember, too October, 1962 like it happened yesterday. My family prepared for the worst case scenario.
In retrospect, there still is some secrecy cloaked in the Cuban Missile Crisis. It’s highly unlikely that we who lived through that tumultous period will really know exactly what transpired. No doubt JFK took a lot with him 13 months later. Even Hollywood amused & terrorized us in 1964 with “Fail Safe” and “Dr. Srangelove.”
However, almost 50 years later, we still find the world dangerous and on the verge of both social and economic collapse.

    • Alex Frazier

You might have to find that report again and post a proper link.

      —–

      Sorry!

The page you’re looking for can’t be found at this address.

      —–

    • mickey

Umm, I too was young, when this happened. While I won’t go into a bunch of other things, I understand Russian subs were along the East Coast. JFK narrowly avoided this crisis. Russia did not think a young, new president would be able to do anything. He did.

Also, Castro came to the US for help in Cuba and the US blew him off. We have had a standstill for 60 yrs and what did it get us?

    • mickey

ummm you think hemp is only MJ? Look again. The big oil companies got hemp outlawed because Ford designed his car to run off hemp. We can make clothes, bags, etc, out of hemp. We don’t need oil we can develop (our refineries were shut down because it was cheaper to import).

    • Charles

Well, fantasy is what it takes to oppose Ron Paul, and fantasy is what you have given us.

You ought to find some fact first, your misrepresentation of what Ron Paul shows how lame one must be to oppose Ron Paul.

    • Angela

I remember this time in history also. You are right. Our Navy on the sea, our boots on the ground is what stopped the missle crisis. Ron Paul is wrong on a lot of things and he is wrong for a leader! He is too liberal and he is racist!

    • Jason

He said he “talked” to him. Why do you make the implication that they talked on the phone and smoked cigars and had a pleasant chit chat? You are inventing the lie and then trying to pin it on Dr. Paul. The point is, they talked in some fashion and worked the problem out via diplomacy rather than by us going to Russia and bombing them. I too agree having a BIG STICK is important. It’s only legitimate purpose (for a peaceful non-empire nation like ours) is to to deter invasion so that we can enjoy peace and liberty in our own land. People like you that want us going out and thumping everyone who peeps or mutters while be become an empire need to consider we are building up massive debts, both in economic terms and in friendship terms, with the world. It is unsustainable and therefore someone who is rational and capable of thinking in long-term, like Dr. Paul, is who we need as our leader.

      • DaveH

And every great empire has gone the same route. First they spread themselves to far and create too many enemies; then they overspend and impoverish their countries to the point that they can no longer hold back the hordes of enemies they have created.
Our Military State is the worst enemy of our Freedom.

      • DaveH

Can we learn from History? Or, are we doomed to repeat it?
        http://mises.org/daily/3663

    • kkflash

Jasonsdad, you miss the point of Mr. Paul’s statement, which is that the Cuban missile crisis was solved by diplomacy, backed by military strength. Our military strength is not improved by spreading it thinly throughout the globe, but by concentrating our forces here in the US.

  • Donahue

IMHO Ron is the way to go for the health of America, however, he can’t make it… The “sheeple” like the “freebies” and will vote for them. They are of the mindset of: “Ask what your country can do for you- Not, what you can do for your country” (Kennedy) Hence since Ron will say get off your butts and we can’t “afford” more “freebies” as we’re “bankrupt”, he’ll never make it…

It seems strange to me that the so called “conservatives” and Republican elite dislike Ron Paul as much as they do. Conservatives like to say that the constitution is the be all and end all yet Ron Paul is the only candidate that actually believes that the constitution is important and should be followed.

    • Sirian

Gary you need to keep one thing in mind – the Progressives have infiltrated the Republican Party too. They are working both sides of the aisle on a much grander scale now. RP is without question Constitutional. The only other two that fit into that category are either Santorum or Bachman. The main top leaders of this race are far from what our country truly needs. Romney, Gingrich & Perry are in essence RINO’s, simply as that.

      • Alex Frazier

I’ll have to disagree with you on that one. Bachman and Santorum both voted for the Patriot Act, which effectively stripped us of our fourth amendment rights. They are both betrayers of the public trust.

Its easy for someone like you to get on this discussion and simply write what you think. But show us the proof. People can see right through your statements and what you are about. It would help if you simply backed up your words with the truth.

      • Alex Frazier

Angela, you are obviously a troll trying to stir up trouble. Blue Republicans — Democrats who are registering Republican to vote for Ron Paul.

    • Alex Frazier

I don’t think you’re right at all. Ron Paul has one thing most Republican candidates rarely possess; Democrat voters. His message is a true American message, and it has attracted voters in a bipartisan fashion. If he wins the nomination, Obama won’t have much of a chance. When it comes time to debate, there won’t be any mud Obama can throw. He can criticize Paul for his foreign policy, but Obama has almost the same foreign policy. He can call him a racist, but that’s an empty claim. It didn’t work years ago, and it’s not going to work now. He can criticize Paul for wanting to do away with the EPA by claiming that Paul wants to “dump mercury into the water supply,” but nonsense like that is taking an argument to an unrealistic extreme.

Paul, on the other hand, can bring up issue after issue to discredit Obama.

Obama may be articulate and charismatic, but Paul is sincere, constitutional, and unsullied. When the character of the two men is shown side by side, Obama is barely half the man Paul is.

      • sorighton

I am concerned that Paul could not stand up to Obama in a debate – he can’t stand up to Bachmann. It makes me wonder where all of the donations are coming from since he seems to have lots of money to spend on campaigning. Is it from the rich liberals? Are they trying to get him to be the nominee. Same with Gingrich – everyone wants him to be the nominee since he can’t BEAT Obama up in debates. HEY, who says Obama will even debate? He doesn’t have to do anything he doesn’t want to do you know. I doubt he will participate against Gingrich – but he probably would against Paul.
I am looking at Gov. Perry very closely right now since I think he may be a combination of Paul’ conservative message yet have some military background to keep our country safe. It may be time for that. We can’t continue to let the world take us over and I’m concerned that a isolationist president would continue down that path we are currently on.

      • M Yass

Well its a good thing Ron Paul wins every debate, according to CNN, MSNBC and ABC internet polls.

      • sorighton

HE DOES???? I really pay close attention to those media outlets….NOT

      • Lost in Paradise

Now how do you think an isolationist would continue down the path we are on now? THat is really a dumb statement. The path Obama has us on, it not about isolationism, it is about communism, and islamification. In addition to that Obama wants to open America to the world.

Paul is in no way an isolationist, and has never indicated he was. He is talking about being friends with other nations, and trading with them. Is that Isolationism??????? Now Way!

      • Don the Canuck

        Sorighton,

Perhaps you should do a little more research if you are wondering where Ron Paul gets his funding from. Do a little exercise with me, would you? Check out where his funding comes from, and then go over the results to find why the funding comes from that source. Let me help you out a little. Do not look for corporations because Ron Paul cannot be bought. Another hint………check out where your military boys and girls send their money to when they choose a candidate. I”ll help you out a little more. He receives more money from individual soldiers and military personnel than all other candidates combined. Must be his “flawed” foreign policy, indeed. Once you have figured out that his funding comes from individuals, and a whole lot of them, you might come to the conclusion that this guys may well be genuinely working in the best interests of the populace, even though so many of them continue to wonder about his commitment to the American People.

Find out where the majority of the funding comes from, and you will have the answer to the question. “Which candidate has the interests of the American People at heart?”

        I hope this helps.

      • jimmy the greek

Spot On Don thank you !

      • sorighton

Just the facts – just the facts. Just because a “person” says so doesn’t make it fact. Guess what…..I am a TEA Party member and I still can’t force myself to vote for Paul. I think true thinking TEA Party members will look deeper.

      • JeffH

sorighton, you wouldn’t vote for the grandfather of the Tea Party?
Me thinks you are a Tea Party RINO!

      • Alex Frazier

sorighton, It was the Ron Paul followers who started the Tea Party movement, based upon Ron Paul’s political campaign platform of reduced government spending, a balanced budget, smaller government, reduced regulations, and constitutionality.

Let me give you some small measure of advice. Don’t waste your time trying to discredit Paul. Those who discover him will be loyal, because you can’t be a Ron Paul advocate unless you first understand the issues. Once you understand the issues, you realize that he is the only candidate who even has the frame of mind to correct them. Once you realize that he’s the only viable candidate, no one else will do.

So you’ll never convince a Paul supporter to turn their back on him.

If, on the other hand, you are open to being convinced of Paul’s merit, I would be happy to tell you anything you want to know. I can tell you his policies, the reasons for his policies, and a number of other things. I can demonstrate the accuracy and validity of his positions as well. He’s the right man for this country, and I’m willing to prove it.

But you needn’t waste your time trying to convince us that he’s the wrong candidate. It will be in vain.

Isolationist would not have bombed Yugoslavia , and installed two former nazi’s for presidents and prime ministers . Yugoslavia was clearly none of our buisness . If Orthadox Christians would rather fight than live under Shariah law that again is none of our buisness . If Germany wanted to try take Yugoslavia for the third time in the last century , we should have let them do it by themselves . Isolationists would have not bombed Libya and installed the Al Qaida as the rulers of Libya , It was none of our Buisness ,but even worse than that we supported the wrong side in evreyone of these little Wars. I’am sick of paying for these stupid wars and creating debts for my kids .I really have no preference for Shariah law over the chinese communists . I agree with Paul why not just stay out of these wars and pay our debts down .

      • DaveH

Surely you jest, Sorighton? Ron can’t beat Obama in a debate? Please. He would win hands down. Sure, those who feed at the trough won’t admit that. But Obama, who is good at reading from a teleprompter is terribly weak when it comes to impromptu speeches or debates:
        http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=of61E1FesPU

Anybody, who spends some time reading about economic matters outside the MSM Propaganda networks, knows that the Liberal agenda is bankrupt and illogical. Obama would be stammering like a baby if he was without his teleprompter, but beyond that his ideology would be easily refuted by the wise Ron Paul.

For those who would like to gain some Economic knowledge, go to mises.org.

      • sorighton

I hope you are right but I can’t see it. Maybe if the debate sticks to the Federal Reserve but if it gets outside of that box I think Obama would eat him up. PLUS, who declares that Obama will debate anyone…………he may not. Just take his billion bucks along with his bully pulpit and have fun knocking down the opposition.

      • Paradigmshift

Have you not been paying attention at all? You should read the article before commenting on it. Dr. Paul does not have an “isolationist” foreign policy, he is a non-interventionist. There is a HUGE difference. I really am more concerned about people like you than the trolls and shills like capt g. You are still looking for a candidate that will have conservative values “but willing to have the military to keep our country safe from the new world order.” Where do you think the NWO is? Every neocon and Zionist is New World Order! Do you know where the neocons and the Zionists are? They are the appointees of Obama’s administration and Bush the 2 before him, and Clinton before him and Bush the 1 before him. Also, the Tea Party has been usurped by them, that’s why all of us conservatives will no longer support the tea party. Zionism = New World Order. Wake Up! Who do you think is the only candidate that is standing up for Constitutional government, which is diametrically opposed to the NWO? Why do you think they hate him so much?

      • kkflash

Sorighton, you’re mistaken. Ron Paul can easily handle Obama in any debate, because he has nothing to hide, the truth on his side, and American pride. Obama, on the other hand has to defend out of control spending, socialist tending and leadership pretending.

        Capt Rich,
I’ve been listening to “morons” like yourself say the same old trash for the last 40 years of my adult life. The results are always the same — More Big Government Growth.
Ron Paul wants a Government staffed by people who obey the same rules of morality and obey the same laws as the rest of us are expected to obey.
He knows that when the Welfare Statists want to “help” people, that they do that by Stealing the money of others (and keeping most of it for themselves).
He knows that when the Military Statists want to promote “democracy”, they do that by Killing others who were no direct threat to our Country. And without any semblance of Due Process. But, that’s okay because it’s a “war” or a “military action”. Somehow calling it a war or military action suspends all morality. How convenient. Hitler would have been proud.

Well, you certainly are misinformed an utterly illogical.

Apparently your way of getting rid of Obama, whom you dislike so much (but not as much as I dislike him, because you are OK with his polcies because your candidates offer the same, while I support Obama’s OPPOSITE: Ron Paul.), is to offer an “R” candidate who is most like him. Then, according to you, we win. By replacing Obama with his twin.

Ron Paul, a 60′s hippie? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can you tell up from down?

      • Lost in Paradise

Apparently whoever came up with that hippie crap is too young to remember the hippies, or never have been around them. What a Crock! Ron Paul does not even come close to that mold. AT this very moment, “young and dumb”comes to mind. No experience what so ever, so do not make statements.

One would wish that our military would be staffed with better people than that, but hey..
I have to say, though that I would have expected this class of smudge to have refined the methods behind their blatherings from the 2008 campaign but no, still the same hokum. I think they may have “misunderestimated” their target this time.

    • kkflash

Au contraire, Knowthetruth. The truth is Ron Paul stands for many ideas that independents and even many liberals hold dear. Who has historically been the most vocally anti-war, liberals or conservatives? Ron’s non-militarist views will ring loudly with liberal peace-mongers. Who has his historically been for the legalization of marijuana, liberals or conservatives? Ron Paul supports legalization on economic grounds, not because he’s pro-drug use. He recognizes that you can’t legislate morality, and his views on this subject will win the support of many liberals and independents. His views on many subjects cross the political party boundaries. The only folks he can’t win over are those looking for a handout, and those like you, who think we have to settle for compromising our principles to win the election.

  • sorighton

This dude needs to have his facts correct regarding Brandstad’s statements. I am neither “ya” or “na” regarding Paul but I do like to read true facts. Brandstad did NOT have an offer to be VP for Romney but only a suggestion from a friend – he laughed it off. PLEASE don’t print something that is not true – it only hurts the Paul campaign. Iowa still matters – like it or not.

    • DaveH

Who was that friend? Bob Dole, the same Establishment Republican who hung over Ronald Reagan like a wet rag, eventually convincing him to “compromise” his small-government Principles:
      http://www.desmoinesregister.com/article/20111220/OPINION01/312200042/Obradovich-Branstad-vice-president-talk-now-what-s-all-about-

      • sorighton

I can’t believe anyone who conspires to being a conservative would read the DM liberal Register let alone believe it; however, you answered your own question. The article does NOT say Brandstad is a VP possibility. Even though he would probably make a good one he is not interested – don’t care what the bloggers make of the suggestion.

      • DaveH

I don’t just “conspire” to be a Conservative, I am a True Conservative. Our founders disdained Foreign Entanglements (treaties, foreign wars):

  • Tom Justin

Even if Ron Paul wins Iowa, like Huckabee did, it would have little or no meaning.

The whole method of voting in this primary is so unlike the rest of the country that it has no meaning. Lots of money and great organizational skills may win the state but not the country.

Mr. Paul is not well accepted by the mainstream of this country, not just the GOP. He had enough great ideas about small government, which is attractive, but to allow Iran to have the bomb? To vacate our friends in Israel? To allow the Middle East be completely taken over and even parts of it destroyed by mullahs and extremists is unfathomable. Because the stronger they get the more they will come after the West.

He also has given unsatisfactory answers about his newsletters, even though they appeared years ago.

This country and the GOP cant take a chance on seeing the reelection of Obama. The GOP needs a strong candidate and one who can beat Obama.

Maybe one of those in the running can still step up to the plate and grow into that role.

There may be plenty of room in the Neville Chamberlon Fan Club, but no room for such a politician to come to be the leader of a free world country in today’s climate.

    • Lost in Paradise

Another turn the other cheek & it will be alright Paul whacker – Paul is nuts get over it – move on – he stands NO chance of ever being elected – if he keeps it up he will do this election what Huckabee did to Romney in the last – thats why we have the smoke in the WH now – we don’t need him for another 4 yrs because of this whack job – get over it and vote for someone who will win against obama

      • Karolyn

As I already posted, I am a registered Dem who will vote for Ron Paul in the SC Repub primary and vote for him for Pres. if he is nominated. However, should Obama run against Rommney or Gigrich, I will have to vote for Obama. And you better believe there are many people like me.

      • Angela

So, what you are saying is that you want a President that HATES America, is muslim, is UNAMERICAN, has disastrous policies that have destroyed AMerica and HATES the COnstitution and leaves GOD out of everything. You need to be educated in Patriotism. You might as well go live where CHavez is because obummer is another socialists cahvez.I know you have got to be smarter than to vote this inept-so-called leader back for 4 years!

      • http://verizon.net budman

Karolyn: What then have you accomplished then if you vote for Obama if Paul doesn’t win the nomination?

I fear for this country because there are people like you who would insure the reelection of the worst president this country ever had just because your choice didn’t win the nomination. but, don’t worry, Paul will abandon the Republican Party and run as an Independent soon and insure Obama’s reelection. Stay turned for the turncoats announcement. Happy now?

      • FreeHumanity

Karolyn, Hello there. Guess we are in the same boat. Trying to let the RINOs know that Paul has a ton of people like us that we will vote (again) for Obama unless RON PAUL is the GOP candidate.

      • Karolyn

Angela & Budman – I cannot in good conscience vote for Rommney, Gingrich or Bachmann. At least I know who Obama is. Although I do not support everything he does, I CANNOT support those other Bilderbergers. It doesn’t matter anyway. They are ALL bought and paid for, other than Dr. Paul; so it really makes no difference.

      • eve4drpaul

I am a member of my county GOP and a precinct chair. Though I would never vote for Obama, should Mitt or Gingrich be the nominee- there’s no way in Hades I would vote for them.
I’ll have to write in Ron Paul.

Bottom line, if the GOP does NOT nominate Paul, they lose and we have another 4 years of this administration. THAT is reality. And it won’t be Ron Paul or his supporters fault, it will be the ignorant people’s of the GOP itself- a repeat of giving us McCain.

      • Mike

Then I can rest assured that my vote will at least cancel yours out. I registered republican simply so I could vote for Ron Paul in the primaries. If he does not make the ticket to challenge Obama, I will vote for whomever is running against Obama. Obama has proven, time and again, that he is a liar. He has broken EVERY campaign promise that he made, while his wife spends billions of tax dollars for her little vacations. Obama is the worst mistake this country has EVER made. Paul would be the ideal candidate. Let the mullahs gain their power in the Middle East. We can already see revolutions have taken place against theocratic control. They are happening now. We have NO BUSINESS being occupiers in foreign lands. Let Iran get the bomb. If they dare set one of in America, we will have the world’s biggest sheet of glass where Iran used to stand. Stop letting your cowardice and fear of islam lead you, and vote for the only man that believes we should protect ourselves. Israel has proven, dozens of times, that with American weapons and maoney, she can take on the whole Middle East and win. They do not need us to babysit them.
        Ron Paul 2012.

Did you not read Bob’s blog? Doesn’t it make sense? There are countries worse than Iran that have “the bomb” and have had it for a long time. What difference does it make if Iran has one? I don’t think any country is stupid enough to use it, because it would mean the end for everyone. You would prefer losing more American lives? Haven’t we lost enough – for NOTHING? As far as Israel goes, they are fine taking care of themselves. What have they ever done for us? They’re just another drag on our budget, along with all the other countries, friend and foe, that we support.

      • http://personallibertydigest Capt Rich G

Hey NITWIT – does the word Martyr mean anything to you stupid – they think nothing of lighting up themselves or their kids moron. They see 72 virgins if they blow up the world – by the way there is NO country worse than Iran but being uninformed like yourself you would not realize that.

      • Karolyn

Wow! First attack of the day by a conservative. We are all adults here and don’t need to call people schoolyard names. It just goes to show your mentality – can’t get a point across without getting personal. In the first place, those who would have the power to set off a nuke are not those they send out to blow themselves up. Most people really don’t want to die, although there’s nothing wrong with it – just another part of life. Contrary to what you might think, they are not all stupid. Having nuclear capabilities is more of a macho-man thing. “Hey, look at me! I’m in with the big guys now!” Why hasn’t North Korea nuked South Korea? They would be killing themselves. Obviously, you are one of those people who believes in perpetual war and wasting human lives for NOTHING!

      • http://personallibertydigest Capt Rich G

I just used to think you were stupid – now I know it to be a fact – you are a true liberal nitwit – North Korea & South Korea are not Muslim countries moron – by dying they don’t see 72 virgins at the end. therefore they are not of the martyr mindset – If you can’t see what Soros/Obama policies are doing to this country then you should try strapping on a bomb & lighting it off – that way there would be one less vote for Obama/Paul or Paul/Obama – whatever just go away (schoolyard name)

      • libertytrain

Karolyn did not say North and South Korea were Muslim – and all martyrs are not Muslim as you appear to be deducing.

If you kids do not stop fighting and begin to play nice… like grownups are sposed ta… America is finished. So much hate because someone DARES to not agree with your point of view.
YOU are what is wrong with America!!!! Can you not see that?
Of all of the candidates in all parties running this cycle… PAUL is the only one with a snow balls chance in Tampa of actually making things better for average Americans. What is wrong with every one of the “other” candidates is that they are identical to each other. EVERY ONE of them represents business as usual. BTW Kidz, Business as usual is how America came to the dangerous and sorry condition we now find ourselves in. It was Dwight D Eisenhower that warned America to beware of the Military-industrial complex. The voters of the late 50′s early 60′s didn’t listen. Look what has happened to America. We have had a sad history of shooting ourselves in our Uncle Sam feet!

I just don’t care if you like me or agree with me… BUT… America turned from God and our Christian roots and we have been going downhill ever since.
Many are going to shoot at me. Many are going to gag. A lot will not agree. That is not going to change anything! Unless/until AMERICA returns to our Christian roots America is going to continue slipping into the dumpster of history.SO…. show me up as a fool, idiot whatever you will… but to do that all of us will have to return to a christian mind set. I have set before you a challenge… keep on insulting each other. Keep on electing wicked, immoral men or…. return to your roots and watch America come back to greatness. Its your choice. Continuing as you are will only lead to the demise of America. ALL OF YOU!!!!

Karolyn, how on earth do you know the Capt to be a conservative? Because he said so? C’mon, even you’re smarter than that.

While I certainly do not support terrorism of any kind, and find the idea of using one’s children for same to epitomize Evil, the suicide bomber is marginally less Evil than Paul Tibbetts or any of the rest of the Enola Gay mass-murderers. The reason is simple:
For whatever sick purpose the suicide bomber obliterates himself and whatever non-combatants are unfortunate enough to be too close to him, he knows that it will be the very last thing he ever does. Tibbetts, however, was able to incinerate scores of thousands of non-combatants in an instant and still make it home for dinner. Now THAT’S Evil!!

How come he left our door wide open for them for 7 years after we were attacked? DUH! All this money on fighting terrorists and both the R’s and the D’s just want to let them waltz right in through the back door? Something doesn’t add up for those of us who can think.

      • Mike

CAPT RICH G: The only way you can be honest is to admit that Obama’s campaign is paying you to spout this drivel. It’s either that, or you are truly one of the most intellecually challenged individuals I have ever had the misfortune to read. If we had more like you during the 1700′s, we would all be proper British subjects to this day. It is sad to see someone with your passion so willingly stretch out his neck for your masters to put a boot on it. Do some serious, independent research on your own, including voting records, of the candidates. There is only one who has consistently voted the way he said he would . Ron Paul. He has never told his constituents one thing, and did another. Some people like to compare Paul with Ross Perot. Think about this: Every prediction that Ross Perot made has come true. The same critics that trashed him and called him nuts are the same ones that are after Ron Paul. Perot was right, and now Paul is right. If only for your own self-respect, start thinking for yourself, instead of spouuting the latest MSM quotes.

      • jimmy the greek

Not really mike ! I made fun of Ross Perot ( i did no know what i know now ) and i was wrong . However Ron Paul is the one we need !

Please re-read the Constitution and especially the Bill of Rights. These are free, downloadable, and not hidden under the cloak of “secret”.

Would you prefer to give up your right to free speech? How about search and seizure? (NDAA). How about gun rights?

Also please look up a map of Iran and see how we have entirely isolated Iran with bombing every country.

Bush, Clinton, Bush, obama think the Constitution is getting in the way and needs to go. What do you think the NWO document will look like. Yeah, I blew off the NWO thing since Bush I but all the activity going to the UN, including AZ’s position, the suing of states by the Fed, the open border, the DHS and now NDAA, I am a believer.

The role of the Fed is to protect us from domestic (haven’t seen that lately) and foreign threats (who is threatening us), not to take over countries around the world.

Many of the troops abroad were to keep Japan and Germany from re-building. Does either country threaten us after 60 yrs?

A lot of these wars, besides making money for the military complex, are about oil. Canada, Mexico, and the US have oil. We will not suffer like Russia and China will if Iran shuts off the flow.

Ever hear of hemp? Think it is only MJ? Wrong, the US drug cartels got it outlawed in preference to oil. Ford’s car was designed to run off hemp. Almost everything oil does can be done by hemp.

So many are soooo ready to trash the Constitution/BR just “because” of the messenger. Some divide themselves into one group or another, religious, neo-con, color. The only documents that include all of us, people want to get rid of????

Japan didn’t bomb us on the mainland, not because it was afraid of the military but because the citizens were armed.

Please revisit these precious documents before determing how you vote. Listen to those that keep hammering “isolationalist” when that is not the case and those throwing “mullah” (a religious MALE holy man). These terms are MEANT to mislead.

Please do not kill the messenger because one doesn’t like what it looks like.

      • Angela

I think HATE is a very strong emotion. I do not hate anyone, but when Ron PAul wants to legalize marijuana, agrees with same-sex marriage that alone tells me he has morals or ethics. All the other stuff he is for is terrifying to the U.S. This man is so far left it is not funny. Hate him? Absolutely not! But is disagree with him 100%! He would take our country down even further than obummer has!

      • Lost in Paradise

No Way, and never. You totally misunderstand what he is about. He is about the U.S. constitution, and letting it be our guide. You need to do more research, and learn before you speak. You know nothing about what you speak.

      • Karolyn

AMEN! This is the only reason Paul does not have even more support. Too many people don’t really know what they are talking about and are just mimicking what they hear. It’s easier to just go along with the herd. OMG! Legalize marijuana! If people would put a little more thought into the drug situation and do some research, they would see that the War on Drugs is a lost cause, and drug addiction needs to be approached differently.

        Dear Angela,

You are suffering from a combination of normalcy bias and cognitive dissonance. I encourage you to go here: http://www.ronpaul2012.com/the-issues/ and see how wrong you are.

You say that like the rest of the crowd has morals! I like the fact that RP lives morally but doesn’t force that morality on any one. As Rome burns down around you, are you going to refuse water because the guy carrying the bucket to put out the fire might not be up to your moral standards? Meanwhile the others are busy starting more fires? I fail to see your logic. Maybe we can have JC run, after all he did walk on water.

      • Don the Canuck

        Angela,

I would strongly suggest you do a little more reading. I do not know where you get your information, but you display a common ailment that affects most people who only listen to MSNBC or other msm channels to get their only source of information.

You need to read further into the definitions and the correct meanings of the candidates positions.

Stating things like RP wants to legalize marijuana is fine, but then you also need to expand on why and how this came to pass.

Saying Michelle Bachmann is a bad choice be upset at because she worked for the IRS, thus she must love taxing people , would give the wrong message.

Do not reduce your level of interaction with statements that you cannot possibly back up, unless you wish to be thrown into the same abyss of ignorance as a great many of the populace who refuse to read the information properly before they make a choice of candidate. This is exactly what has gotten you all to this point in the first place.

Choose your sources for information and dig deep to better understand what the candidates really are and what they truly represent. Anyone who still believes that RP is a threat to the U.S. is simply in denial and has not understood his positions in any way. this guy is the only true patriot that you have standing on the stage right now.

Why else would your military bestow upon him the funding that they have, and why else would he be the only popular candidate outside of the U.S.? Why else would this old fellow who has little ability to speak publicly have garnered so much support? Well, the truth is a strong glue that can hold together a people and in the end, it always prevails. think about that for a moment. Why else would his supporters be so adamantly sure about his position? find out and you shall be cured of your inability to comprehend that this is the only candidate who truly loves America and it PEOPLE, as individuals, without any need to cater to lobbyists or special interests, or corporations. I could go on and on about his virtues, but unless you read his books and study his actions over the last 30 years, you will never understand. Start by reading your constitution and you may find that your eyes will open. Only one guy on stage that is willing to put it all on the line for the people, and selflessly has done so for the last 30 years. you figure out who that person is. Pretty clear to many now.

Lots poisons available very freely without running risk of being charged by police for daring to have weed killer in your garden shed.Imagine how many police hours will be saved or used to track the dealers or how much your lawyers will lose in lost revenue or how much extra time your courts will have to procees murders cases faster? Imagine how many of your children who make the silly mistake of trying the Brain Poison anf get caught by police, but then wont have a police record allowing them another few chances at getting a good education because they know they can get a better job without a drug possession conviction? Imagine how many of your youth will have a better chance at life after their silly teen years are over? Imagine that?

    • Jason

In today’s world? Ron Paul’s point is we need to behave ourselves by setting a good example so that we don’t get to the point where a nuclear exchange becomes more likely. He wants to advocate those policies which will actually build friendship in the world. Genuine friendship deters war far more than being an aggressive, hair triggered control freak. America got a bloody nose on 9/11 due in large part to blowback from our interventions in the world that are not common knowledge of the people. Before you keep going on about how Ron Paul would make us less safe, take some time to dig up the facts. Also, just as he is a man of steel in regards to honoring and obeying the Constitution, I am certain if the American people hand him a war properly declared by Congress, he will have the same steely resolve to quickly and efficiently decimate any legitimate threat to us. His capacity to demonstrate cool resolve under difficult circumstances indicates to me that he is the most mentally qualified to be our commander-in-chief. The military knows this and this is why he gets more than double the donations all of the other GOP candidates combined and more than Obama from our active duty members of the military.

I must strongly protest the action of taking posts off the discussion table. There are thousands of people who do not post, reading this blog.

While I completely understand the need for keeping some from being harrassed and bullied,my strong inclination is to say that these people will be seen in the proper light by those who read this blog.
Banning someone from posting only serves to show others that there is a spirit of intolerance here.
Normally I would say throw the moron to the lions, but regarding Constitutional rights,it may be more consistent if you were to let the morons have their part and parcel, regardless of their need to be irritants.

Tom Justin & Capt Rich, I take your comments that Ron Paul is out of the mainstream as a compliment to him. YOU, however, are right in the mainstream of the river of economic and political destruction, and swimming with the current. As they say, “If you keep doing what you’ve been doing, you’ll keep getting what you’ve gotten.” The name of the political party doesn’t matter. Both Republicans and Democrats have fed the redistributionist system to buy votes. All the current candidates but Ron Paul stand for the status quo. Obama, Gingrich, Romney and all the rest just say whatever they think you want to hear, in order to buy your vote. Then they change nothing while in office. And you’re buying every lie they’re selling. Show some courage. Spend your time convincing people to vote for REAL conservative principles, liberty and personal responsibility instead of giving in to the “Newt Romney” propaganda. Vote for Ron Paul.

  • cawmun cents

The actual reason to vote for Dr.Paul,is that mainstreamers hate him.
Just goes to show you that he is the better candidate.
If Rush Limbaugh endorses the guy(and obviously, thank God he will not),you will get what you play for.
Republicans hate Dr.Paul because he doesnt goose step into their idealism,or fit in their box of conceptual reality.
This is a good thing for Dr.Paul.
Even if he is not elected to office,at least there was an alternative to the same old trash that DC has been spreading on our bread.
Conventionally Ron just doesnt fit in their mold.Hurray for him!
Just when you think there is no hope,a guy comes along that is different.Different being a good thing.Trouble is that folks are used to getting their politics luke warm.New and improved is a label that is pasted all over the current batch of contenders.
But it is all lip service.
There is only one new offering there, and they dont understand why he just doesnt fit in their mold.
They even refuse to ask him about aditing the Federal Reserve,on Fox News. That should show you right there, that the establishment lackeys disapprove of Dr. Paul’s ideology.Instead they went with the same old tired questions.I patently disagree with Dr. Pauls foreign policy regarding Iran. But hey, almost any candidate has a particular thing which I disagree with. Some more than often enough, with nearly everything they bring to the table.
When the republicans wrote Omamba his last(was it the last?hard tellin’not knowin’)trillion dollar check, for which the funds were not yet appropriated,I loudly stated that I would never vote for one of their ilk again.
Dr.Paul is not of their ilk.I will vote for him, based on that principle alone.America needs to show that we wont fall for the status quo, every time.New plans and ideas are not really arguable at this juncture in time.Just plain old necessary.
    -CC.

Gillysrooms, thanks for making that point. That is, there are ‘Republicans,’ and there are conservatives. Some readers on this website refuse to make that distinction.

DaveH, I had almost forgotten about Ludwik Von Mises, for his teachings and those of Frederik Von Hayek, and Milton Freidman where some of the ones we promted in the 1970′s as part of our political movement in Australia. All their teachings were logical yet in Australia we had a very strong Tramways & Omnibus Union and very much part of out current Labor Party who members where all hardline unionist who saw that a real threat to their power of controlling the workers through compulsory unionism. They orchistrated the murder of a young fit committed political free enterprise activist by the name of PAUL KRUTULIS IN 1977 [Read page 207 TRADE UNION SECURITY LAW- A Study of Preference and Compulsory Unionism by Phillipa Weeks.] Australia’s first political murder still goes unnoticed and unclaimed by the union movement to this day. We were a small group then called crackpots and some of our members formed the original Centre for Independent Studies in Australia…now very popular with the political elite..but then considered a bit out with the fairies in those days.

What do you folks down there think about Little Barry plunking down our military on your soil and your “guvment” allwing it?

      • http://gillysrooms.blogspot.com GILLYSROOMS in Australia

We dont mind OLD HENRY, the more the merrier because all your servicemen and women are going to contribute some of their salaries on our soil…so send us another million ….now lets say 200,000 troops might spend a very min $40 pw pocket money on food, hot dogs, nuts, entertainment x 52 weeks = $2080 x 200,000 troops = $416,000,000. But lets say they decide to spend ten times that in clubs and pubs and women of the night…we heading towards the $billions in expenditure to be circulating in our economy. Now dont forget that the Navy will need to buy Aussie foods and supplies from Australia most likely and that will add up to $billions of too. Then lets not forget that some of those tropops are going to meet our women and might marry and eventually settle in our loverly country and some will want to come down south to Melbourne and Sydney where we have a better life …so all in all we might encourage more whites to immigrate to Australia from America? So whose really benefitting ….we are, instead of places like Irak, Iran, etc and your troops wont have to worry about getting shot at while on their tour of duty…and who will be wondering where all the good times have gone because the wealthy oil Shieks dont seem to spend any of their money in their own countries do they? Unfortunately, OLD HENRY does not know much about economics …….

      • DaveH

Old Henry simply asked an innocent question, Gilly, and like a typical Liberal you used it as an opportunity for a personal attack.
By the way, Gilly, if indeed you knew anything at all about economics, you wouldn’t be a Liberal.

      • kkflash

Gillys reply to Old Henry helps to make Ron Paul’s point about non-interventionist foreign policy. Stationing American troops at 900 military bases outside the US simply costs us money, and puts that money into foreign economies, rather than into our own. Why do we need to be the world police at our own expense?

      • JC

GILLYSROOMS, all the Governments of the western nations are using the same formula to bring us into Globalism. It won’t. We’re being played like cheap fiddles.

So when any govt Australia or the USA stimulate our economies or your housing market to realise who gets the greater benefit …you need only look up ALIBABA to see how many Styles of American Timber Homes are manufactured in CHINA ready for export to your USA.

Now as far as permitting Chinese investments in Australia…we do permit and in fact they have invested $billions in our coal, iron ore and other precious metals but I’m not sure why RIO TINTO was not permitted to be sold to the Chinese but it might have had something to do with strategic security matters perhaps…RIO TINTO has mining operation in the USA too. I’m not against the Chinese Government investing in Australia, but sometimes government have other reasons why they wont let other governments take over corporations.

Maybe the government could see its ability to tax profits from mining dwindle as many foreign governments will make sure they wont need to pay any taxes because they lower the prices they purchase the minerals to cover costs and transfer the profits into their own countries. This has led our government to look at creating a SUPER MINING PROFIT RENT TAX or a TONNAGE TAX which affects the states who already have a mining tax levy and also affects the smaller miners too who are struggling to get started. Politics is complicated.

Andy’s signature is still inside at the bottom of Lookout Mountain.
Dr. Ron Paul is leading and gaining momentum because he is our people’s choice. He wants us to follow our Constitution.

      • Bernadine

Yes ron paul con win. But he is a libitarion not a republican.we do not have any one runing that would change us back to the constitution and put GOD BACK AHEAD OF THIS COUNTRY AS OUR FOREFATHERS INTENDED.RON
PAUL IS GETTING SENILE AND IT SHOWS IS THAT WHAT THIS COUNTRY REALLY NEEDS? WE ALREADY HAD A PRESIDENT WITH EARLY STAGE OF ALSIMERS.DO WE NEED ONE NOW????? ROMNEY, PERRY,ARE FOR THE HIGHWAY FROM TEXAS TO CANADA. THEY SAY NO EXITS JUST SERVICE PLAZAS. BUT ROADS COME INTO THE SERVICE PLAZAS SO WORKERS WHO WORK THERE.AND ANYONE CAN USE THEM.
SO WHAT ELSE IS NEW??? THIS IS ANOTHER ELECTION FRAUD.NO ONE ALOWED TO RUN AGAINT A PRESIDENT THAT IS NOT FROM THIS COUNTRY.AND PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO TELL ME HE IS GOD THAT HE THINKS HE IS. BUT BECAUSE OF HIS RACE EVERY ONE IS AFRAID TO ADMIT IT. THOSE THAT SCREAM RACISM ARE THE PEOPLE THAT WANT SOMETHING FOR NOTHING AND NOT HAVE TO WORK TO GAIN IT. THAT IS WHAT HAS BEEN GOING ON IN OUR SCHOOLS FOR THE LAST FOURTY YEARS. GOD BLESS

      • Sirian

        Bernadine,
You are the first in a very long time that I have read that brings up the subject of the “Super Highway”. Isn’t it unfortunate that so many either scoff at what it truly is and don’t understand the evidence that stands boldly in the public forum or do they simply refuse to research this area since scoffing is extremely easier to do? One of these days they will see what their shear foolishness has allowed.

      • Susie4Liberty

Our Texas Border is wide-open to Mexican truckers…and the “don’t believe your lyin’ eyes Superhighways” which We Texans fought so hard with guv perr are not being finished fast enough. (So they complain to their Mexican Prez…)

NAFTA – introduced by george the one, pushed thru by Clinton AND NEWTON, Treaty signed by geo the two-th in Waco – 2007, as I recall. So now, we’re like the EU…the North American Union…our once Sovereign Country and Canada and Mexico.

The New World Order isn’t COMING…it’s HERE.
And you think NEWTON OR ROMNEY OR PERRY are committed to getting us OUT of it?!

My Conscience demands that I cast my vote for Ron Paul. Won’t be ‘easy’ to extricate us from this nightmare of GOVT OWNERSHIP – but he’s the only Candidate who is committed to THE PEOPLE, rather than the Global Elite.

      • DaveH

Funny you should say that, Bernadine. Because that senile old man runs intellectual circles around his competition. If you’d do some studying outside the MSM Propaganda circle, you would know that is true. In fact, all you need do is listen to the debates, those where Paul actually got more than 2 minutes of face time, and do a little thinking to see that Paul has a much better grasp of reality than any of his opponents. Oh, for sure, the other candidates probably do know better, but they aren’t about to admit to the American people that their agenda is one of promoting the prosperity of their Big Government Gang over what’s really best for the Rest of US.
After all, the natural inclination of Leaders is to grow their power at the detriment of our Freedom. Jefferson warned us of that reality 200 years ago. We didn’t listen.

in mexico and central america the freeways are called corridors. in california all the freeways after leaving the cities have signs saying this is a safety corridor. i started noticing these signs being put up a couple of years ago. if there isn’t going to be a freeway system from mexico across the usa then why the name change

Bernadine: You are just another contemporary naysayer that kicks the can sown the street. If not for those in power constantly looking to make money off the backs of the working class in our great nation, and then abandoning us when it served them well to do so, we would not be in this mess. Everyone always blames the one who has the dung heaped upon him, but not the heapers. To think that you can’ see the forest from the trees is sad. Nobody can undo years of political treachery and governmental malfeasance in such a short time-frame. And it s=must be very easy to overlook the ineptitude of past leaders of our country while dumping on our current President. After all, this is the american way; kick the can sown the road. Poor Barry; if only he was from or had family origins in South Africa, or Germany, or Italy, or Poland. I guess his climb to the Presidential palace would be OK.

      • http://ObserverfromPhoenix Tom the Observer

Maybe Ron Paul is a little better in taking care of himself!? I don’t think you implied Ronald Reagan was a sufferer of Alzheimer’s disease while in office!? He did make one mistake, in my humble opinion, towards the end of his office, granting Amnesty to 3(?) million illegals. Look what that got us to today! But I also learned that his plan was not faithfully executed.
Personally, age should not be a determining factor at such an important
juncture of time. Principle, wisdom, honesty and total dedication to the duties to save the Country is! Flank him with an energetic, similarly principled and “executorial” VP and that will do the job and free you from worries about AGE!

In the south in the mid sixties it was the Republicans that were the bleeding hart liberals so you can’t go by party . The new world order as its called is run by zionist and they have the fundamentalist christians ( the ones i call the crazy christians ) as lap dogs for israel . The reason they don’t want Ron Paul is he is not in the pocket of the zionist and the useful idiots that call them self’s conservatives . israel would nuke America in a New York Minute when we are no longer useful to them and there plans for there leading the world .

Yea uh the Jews are the tribe of (Judah) which is only one of twelve tribes of Israel. There are only two tribes currently in the country of Israel the other ten escaped 400 years BC from the Syrians north over the caucasius mountains (its why we are called caucasions) and settled in Europe and eventually here in America so we have a vested interest in the country of Israel it is our land and they are our brothers. If you are full blood Greek I understand this would not have any meaning to you.

      • jimmy the greek

Europe is of Aryan blood As are the Persians or Iranian’s as they are called today . So i have no blood with the devil’s that came from the East tru Poland .

      • Gman

It is so refreshing to have someone that knows history to speak on it. As I have said before, The reason why we as a nation are going through the trials and tribs’ is our lack of respect for the Father’s covenant with the tribes. I am a Gentile, but still covered by the Blood. But the shame is that those first blessed have allowed the Adversary to infect them with a lack of understanding of the Covenant and it’s provisions for continuation of the blessings bestowed upon our people and the land. You have in my humble estimation, hit the nail on the head. At least to some degree.

      • ohoh

Actually, great portions of the tribes of Judah, Benjamin and Levi living in the cities of the southern Kingdom of Israel surrounding Jerusalem were taken captive by the Assyrians and scattered along with the Ten Tribes from the Northern Kingdom. The remnants of Judah, Benjamin and Levi in Jerusalem were later taken captive by Babylon. Of the Israelites who returned to Judea from Babylon, some settled in the south with a new religion based on the Babylonian Talmud and, mingling with the non-Israelite population in the area, became known as “Jews.” Others Israelites settled in the north (Galilee), the home of Jesus, an Israelite from the tribe of Judah, and all of His disciples, except Judas, who was a Jew from the south. These Israelites in the north took a different course, which ultimately led to Christ’s ministry and His condemnation of the Jewish establishment in the south, including the Traditions of the Elders (the Talmudic detour from the true teachings of the Hebrew prophets). Most of the Jewish immigrants from Poland, Germany and other European ghettos (90% of the people we call Jews in the West today) were not from any of the twelve tribes. They were from the asiatic Khazarian Kingdom (modern Russian Jews) and didn’t convert to Jewish Talmudism for more than a thousand years after the Babylonian captivity. These converted Jews were not the children of Abraham, they adopted the traditions condemned by Christ and they were never our cousins. The philosophical mischief that has come from this group, including the likes of Lenin and Marx, is legend. The modern political state of Israel is generally, mistakenly portrayed as the Biblical Nation of Israel. As Americans, we have paid dearly for this errant belief. The Christian ministers who perpetuate this fantasy have truly led their sheep astray.

All of you are forgetting the Real Truth – that is Ron Paul will neverbe nominated or Elected President of the USA. He is a whack job & the American voters understand that no matter what the people of Iowa feel. I understand that all Paul followers are pumped up but like myself ( Conservative Republican) I am a realist Paul will never be POTUS. His son is a nitwit also.

      • maury

I would invite you to log on to “Abolish the Federal Reserve system of 1913″. Read what Ron Paul really stands for. Read how the American people have been ripped off, and what he proposes to do about it. He, unlike all of the rest of the candidates, has made an intensive study of why we are in such economic troubles. Read the real truth about why we went to war in Iraq, and the folly of attacking Iran. If anyone else is elected as President, I predict that we will be involved in another Useless, un-winable war within a year after November 8. We’re in debt over $15 trillion, and growing, right now. Where do you propose we get the money to fight another World War III? Already everything you could buy for a dollar ten years ago, it takes $40 to buy now.

      • Don the Canuck

It is amazing how illiterate people can continue to post comments that have little or no value other than to reflect their inability to actually read and research the candidates. Capt Rich here is a prime example of great many American voters who refuse to spend the necessary time to actually read books that the candidates write, or read their plans, if avaiable, that are usually quite detailed. Anyone who states that RP is a kook or a whack job is simply in denial or has chosen to remain ignorant. It is these people who are the most dangerous to your country, not the politicians. Politicians can be voted out….ignorance and stupidity can only be cast aside if someone at some point encourages these people to educate themselves. Lucky for the U.S., the younger generation is now getting involved and can begin to see the light, much in contrast to intellectually deficient neanderthals like Capt. Rich.

From Canada, all the best to our U.S. friends. May you choose your next leader with care and with the information necessary to make that informed decision.

You profess to be a conservative Republican, but you’re too chicken to walk the walk.

      • Mark Are

Ron Paul represents the 99% (though many don’t realize it). He represents an IDEA. He represents FREEDOM, LIBERTY, SELF RELIANCE, RESPONSIBILITY. The other candidates, including the current usurper in Chief, represent the 1%. Since there are many more of us, WE can rally around Ron Paul, and change the face of the world. Ron Paul said, “I am not interested in winning to be President. I am interested in winning to change history.” When he wins, history will show that the 1% are not the rulers but rather WE THE PEOPLE who the Constitution was written to be the guide of government for, are the rulers. The question…do we continue down the road to slavery? Or do we allow a true abolitionist to free us all from the chains of bondage that the Federal Reserve and world banksters have placed around the necks of every man, woman and child on this PLANET? THAT, my friends is the real crux of the matter. ARE WE GOING TO BE SLAVES for the 1% or are we going to have a planet of FREEDOM for the 99%. YOU CAN DECIDE, and say screw what “they” want! . RON PAUL 2012, 2016 RAND PAUL 2020, 2024!

You are NOT a Conservative, Capt Rich. You are a Neo-Conservative. True Conservatives know that the message Ron Paul delivers is closer to that of this country’s Founders than any of the other Socialist, Militarist Candidates that the Republican Party has put up. Of course, I’m excepting Gary Johnson, who the Propaganda Media has been effective at silencing.
The Republican Party has been Mercantile (think Crony Capitalism) since its inception. We fought a revolution to rid us of the Mercantilist tendancies of Great Britain. And the Republican Party brought it back.

Mr. Livingston article against Ron Paul is 100% accurate! If you have listened to the debates; everything Livingston wrote about is exactly Paul’s views. He is terrifying! Bob, when someone is called an isolationist, it means the septic tank ‘cream’ is flexing its muscle
via a pc technique. In truth, someone who is protected by ‘insiders’ [Joe Blow is not an isolationist] is someone who likes sending our military around the world to spread “democracy.”
Iowa’s governor is doing the work of utopian scum.
Branstad may be a loyal neocon or RINO, but he’s surrendered his reputation in the process. To claim that a 1st place showing by Paul ‘doesn’t matter’

    It’s also possible that Branstad’s “doesn’t matter”
comment implies that Iowa’s caucus is owned by pre-programmed, ‘Republican’/GOP robots.
    We’ll see.

    • Robert Smith

From the article: “(Previously debunked claims of racism surfaced again last week.)”

How do you “debunk” statements that were made in his newsletter? Ohhhhhh, I get it! He was a “leader” in name only and he got hisself some of that there “plausable deniability”

If he can’t control his own organization how will he manage America?

      Rob

      • Alex

Ooops…..I wish I had read your post first! I could have gone to bed already! You wrote most succinctly that which I blathered on about….

      • Armed Drunkle Scotty

You got the “blathered” part right, I imagine. I’ve never heard reason for it in anything Paul is saying. Gingrich changes lanes with every new speechification, Romney and Perry do the same, apparently following Newt’s lead. Dr. Paul, however, stays in his lane. You may disagree with him, but there’s no fender bender in your future. (Well, actually, he’ll turn the damn apple cart upside down…but other than that…)

Obama, of course, stays the course verbally, but is clearly going in a different direction altogether. (The same direction opposite what he promises–he’s going in exactly the same direction Clinton and Bush were, contrary to expectations.)

Who would you rather drive to work next to? Obama, Bush, Newt, Mitt (don’t these guys have real first names?) or twelve-times elected never-changed-his-position Constitution-defending (not like the current “scholar” in our White House) Dr. Ronald Paul. An obstetrician, author, economist, and state congressman who hasn’t altered his political position in 30 years, because it’s based on our Founders’ principles, which are in part based on the Magna Carta?

Oh, but he’s a racist anti-Semite. Yeah, well…that’s all true.

He’s against the federal government paying any attention to people’s skin color if they’re bonifide Americans, and he wants to stop American taxpayers’ money being dumped gratis overseas, and that includes our dollars to Israel (the biggest life-blood sponge in our budget).

What a freaking un-American monster, this so-called anti-life Doctor with 4,000 newborns’ blood on his hands (they couldn’t all have been white or Christian). Our usually elected Commander-In-Chief’s job is to direct kids to kill kids, not give them birth goddamnit! The man’s unqualified!

Sorry, I vent. I’m sure the editors will make the appropriate cuts.

      • Floyd Slocum

Paw Kettel Can’t win, The gorup should back the best for the GOP
and go after Obama, instead of cutting each other down. They act like school kids running for office.

      • Karolyn

Personally, I do not hold 20 year old comments against people. As far as debunking, he has said that he did not read everything before it was published. I really don’t care. Even if he did back it up at the time, most people are not the same people they were 20 years ago if they are thinking people.

      • libertytrain

I have to agree with you Karolyn -

      • Alex

So then you are one of the few Fright Wingers to say “Jeremiah Wright, William Ayers….hey, that was years ago!” I applaud you!

      • libertytrain

        Alex you make no sense.

      • eddie47d

Actually he did make sense for that was a long time ago also and people move on in their lives yet the right constantly brings up old dirt. That means Paul (whom I like) is fair game in bringing up the past.

      • walt

Alex says that william ayers actions were years ago. The difference is, his physical actions might have been years ago, but he still says today that he didn’t do enough and believes in what he did. Wright’s actions weren’t years ago. They’re now and continue everyday. Most of the time people do take Ron Paul’s statements out of context on purpose. His statements on the civil war had nothing to do with race. It was a discussion about taxation without representation. Most people need to study US government during the 1850′s-1870′s. Especially Lincoln.

      • libertytrain

actually eddie they didn’t make sense because my thoughts were similar to Walts – you’re comparing apples to oranges and the only thing similar is they are the same type of food – yesterday’s comments change as men change or don’t change as men stay caught in some constant of yesterday…or are spouting words today exactly as they spouted or lived 20 years ago…no progress seems to have occured in those particular brains.

      • Namnang Dorje

It’s delusional to say that a person is not who they were 20 years ago. We may revise (or disguise) some traits, attitudes, behaviors, etc., but some of the same persist in everyone. At the level of Public Servant #1 these things should bear the greatest scrutiny. Prove or disprove, don’t believe or support without questioning. The true believer gets what someone else wants for him/her. If Paul’s followers were responsible for his troublesome publications we’d better watch out for Paul lackeys in the inner circles of FedGov power if he becomes El Presidente. Most of what goes on to move big things in this country escape the consciousness of “everyday people.” The newsletter association is too damning … he shouldn’t be in the race. Looks like a stealth candidate to me.

      • DaveH

        Good job, Karolyn.

      • Mark Are

All a person needs to do is listen to the interview with the NAACP leader that is available on Youtube. End of conversation for those who want to believe that Ron Paul even has one racist bone in his body. Which is just an excuse that they have to vote for psychopaths.

      • http://Steve Steve

gee…if that’a all the dirt they can find on Paul then what will the media to do??

      • Palin16

        Karolyn
For once I agree with you.

      • bob wire

And then too , what was seen as “acceptable” 20 years ago might not be acceptable today.

To know where Ron Paul came from and what that region of the nation “accepted” as common place in regard to race relations. It would not be taken well or accepted in other parts of the nation, then or today.

Lake Jackson Texas is a place suspended in time. In the last 20 years, Ron Paul has figured that out and made some adjustments.

Up until 1978 my family still had surviving members of early slave families living on property. I knew of three such families. Freed long along, many elected to stay and were never asked or demanded to leave. They stayed on their own accord and was considered a part of the extended family, and had been for generations. They did what they knew and were comfortable with. Uncle Jeff Davis used them, paid them and fed them until he died at 99.

As I said, Ron Paul comes from a time capsule of the old south and harbors no “Hatred” of people of color. If these 20 year old document reek of “hated” or “contempt” they would not be views of Ron Paul.

However, If these documents seem to only display a “condescending tone” towards “blacks” by people of today, I would not be a bit surprised. For that’s just the way it was, ~ for the right or wrong of it.

here is my spin, even if he were a card carrying member of the KKK,

In my humble opinion, this is the most important issue in America.

Freedom from debt. End the FRB

        Ron Paul 2012

      • http://personallibertydigest Capt Rich G

You sustained brain damage some time in the past – Paul will never get the nomination (nor should he) – he is a nitwit – & a vote for him is a vote to reelect obama – get over it & move on

      • http://yahoo scout

Capt. Rich You’re part of the problem. Romney won’t disclose his tax returns and vows to have them locked. Does this remind you of anyone? Go Ron Paul for taking this country back . smaller government, gold standard, eliminate foreign aide , tax overhaul, etc.

      • Phil

I think Ron Paul is a good man who the people will not elect because of his age. He is either 76 or 78 I’m not sure but either way he’ll be past 80 before his first term would be over. At his age his physical and mental health or year by year. How long will he be up to the job? He look and acts to old to go up against a young Obama. It’s really to bad but the American Voter who doesn’t have a clue about what’s going on in Washington will vote on looks and personality. This is one of the things that took McCain down. He looked like a white haired old man next to Obama.

      • Devil Dog, USMC,DAV

RIGHT ON CAPT. THE PROBLEM IS, THESE NITWIT RP SUPPORTERS HAVE THEIR HEADS SO FAR UP HIS BUTT, THAT THEY CAN’T HANDLE THE TRUTH. IT’S SAD!! OF COUSE THE LIEBERALS WILL DO ANYTHING TO ELECT THEIR “MESSIAH” SO I BELIEVE GEORGE SOROS AND OBAMA’S MINIONS ARE INVADING THIS BLOG.

      • eddie47d

Those “dashing” Hollywood good looks of Romney could persuade a few to vote for him. I think he comes across like an elite charmer as Edwards did.

Reagan was pure trained monkey imbecile and he got the nominstion in 1980.

      • Old Henry

I read some of the “reports” from the LSM of what was perportedly stated in the newsleters and coulf find nothing racist nor anything I could seriously disagree with. As Clara used to declare: “Where’s the beef?”

      • JC

        Good catch Henry,
All these anti American, anti Paul people are referring to things that were written in RP newsletters years ago that were supposedly racist.
I have yet to see anything other than vague references and absolutely no literal examples.
What “exactly” are they referring to?

      • JeffH

Agreed JC and Old Henry…I keep hearing the same vague references.

      • Paradigmshift

They’re paid shills, just like Capt Rich G, haven’t you heard about them?

      • Dan Dalen

You know the Republican Party is in deep trouble when they start playing the RACE card!

      • Syl

Dan, PERFECT! I was thinking the same thing. Where are all these racist newsletters they are talking about? I have not even seen an actual quote yet. If racism exists you can be sure it would be plastered everywhere. It is probably taken out of context so they can’t show us the context.

      • Old Henry

Yes JC. Vauge is an excellant word to use in this case. Thank you.

      • Old Henry

Say folks, speaking of taking out of context as Syl stated and another word comes to mind – trumped up – has ANYONE heard from any of those trash-for-cash bimbos since Mr. Cain dropped out? Hmmmm??

      • Average Joe Patriot

I saw a scrunchy woman with bad body language in a sweater trying to stuff a mic into Ron’s face repeating the same question he already answered a second or third time, she was claiming that Ron Paul had to admit, she was in his face insisting the statements he’d just said he hadn’t made were “incendiary.” The interview had gone on for over eight minutes, a near record for CNN. “Well, but you hafta admit, the accusations are incendiary,” or some such. He took off his jacket mic and left, a rather long interview on current tax and other, substantive issues now apparently over, actual interview over.

CNN immediately turned this minor media event (the clutzy END of a minor media event) into a MAJOR MEDIA EVENT: Ron Paul runs out on questons about denial of his racism. Ron Paul “Apparently doesn’t want to talk about this issue.” Really? Probably doesn’t want to answer questions about his slaughtering extraterrestrials in his garage, either. Stalks out on the already lengthy impromptu interview whenever the subject of freaky green aliens is brought up. What IS Dr. Ron Paul hiding in his garage? “Is he still tying up and beating his wife and kids in there? Ron Paul refuses to give CNN a simple Yes or No. Instead, this is what he had to say…”

Ask anyone the same dumbass question he just answered twice (in this interview alone) and which he has answered many times in the past few years, then toss in some headline-grabbing spin about his thoughts about the 1993 WTC bombing (2011 minus 1993, do the math, was about 19 years ago, and there is nothing substantive he’s publicly said about it) while he is removing his mic and handing to the CNN techie guy…seriously, folks. It would appear that sooner or later everyone “runs out” on EVERY interview.

Who wouldn’t look uncomfortable trying to end an interrogation by this shrew? I’m sure Wolf Blitzer would’ve handled it better. “Look, I have to pee, lady. I’m sure whatever you ask beyond this point will be ‘incendiary,’ I’ve been around this block with you people a hundred times, and with you about three in the last two minutes. I’ll have my people send your people a pack of Bics and a case of charcoal lighter fluid. I have stuff to do, you apparently do not. Your time with me’s up, dear.”

RON PAUL’S EGALITARIAN PRINCIPAL OF PERFECT LIBERTY FOR ALL– WILL ASSURE THAT IN OUR REPUBLIC, IN TERMS OF POT AVAILABILITY— ***NO CHILD WILL BE LEFT BEHIND***.

WHEN CANNABIS IS LEGALIZED, AND IS WITHIN THE GRASP OF CHILDREN, AND IS AS READILY AVAILABLE AS POP CYCLES AND PEPSI, WHAT WILL RESULT?? INTELLIGENT KIDS ARE NEAR UNIVERSALLY CURIOUS, ESPECIALLY REGARDING OLDER KID’S “ ADULT INTERESTS.”

BARRACK OBAMA IS, DAILY, BURYING OUR GRANDCHILDREN AND THEIR GRANDCHILDREN WITH CRIMINAL DEBT. PAUL WOULD, ALSO, IF HE LISTENS TO MANY OF HIS SUPPORTERS, LEGALIZE ***ALL DRUGS***. ASK HIS YOUTH WHO LEFT OBAMA FOR PAUL.

THE IDEA IS THAT POLICE ARE KEPT TOO BUSY HANDLING DRUG VIOLATIONS, AND THIS RENDERS THEM UNABLE TO HANDLE OTHER LAW BREAKERS. PAUL’S RADICAL THOUGHTS WOULD BURY OUR ALREADY DERELICT AND STRUGGLING PUBLIC SCHOOLS WITH POT, OUR HIGHWAYS WITH DEATH, RIVALING ALCOHOL, OR WORSE.

PAUL’S “ECONOMIC SOLUTION” TO THE COSTS OF DRUG-CRIME PREVENTION– IN PRINCIPLE– APPLIES TO ALL CRIME: LEGALIZE ROBBERY, RAPE, MURDER, TERRORISM, ETC., ALL CURRENT, STATUTORY CRIME – - SINCE, OBVIOUSLY, SOME PERSONS “RIGHTS” WILL BE VIOLATED IF PURSUED FOR PUNISHMENT– SO IF THESE AND OTHER CRIMES WERE LEGALIZED, 9 0F 10 POLICEMEN WOULD NO LONGER BE NEEDED.

***THINK OF THE MONEY WE COULD SAVE!!!!***

WITHOUT HESITATION, I LINK SUCH IMBECILIC NOTIONS WITH THOSE UNSPEAKABLE PERVERTS WHO ARE NOW PUSHING FOR THE LEGALIZATION OF ***CHILD MOLESTATION***.

MAKING DRUGS LEGAL AND CONVENIENTLY AVAILABLE TO OUR CHILDREN IS THE MORAL EQUIVALENT OF CHILD MOLESTATION- – ONLY, THE BRAIN IS ASSAULTED BEFORE THE BODY.

IS PAUL TRUTHFUL ABOUT HIS PLAN TO TAKE 1. 2 TRILLION BUCKS FROM THE DEBT?

ABSOLUTELY — BUT WE WOULD BE LEFT WITH A SCRAWNY AND INEPT DEFENSE–HE THINKS ALL NATIONS OF THE WORLD (EXCEPT ISRAEL) LOVE US. HE DOES NOT CONNECT TO THE PATENT FACT KNOWN BY THE ENTIRE LITERATE WORLD: IF IRAN IS OUR FRIEND–THEN, WE HAVE NO ENEMIES AT ALL

BETWEEN PAUL’S OBSCENE POSITIONS, AND THE NOW OBVIOUS EVIDENCE THAT THE WEALTHY– BOTH AMERICAN CITIZENS AND ILLEGAL, COVERT, FOREIGN INFLUENCES, NOW CONTROL THE FUNDS, AND THEREFORE THE RESULT OF OUR PRESIDENTIAL SELECTION – - I AM PERSONALLY NEAR DESPONDENT OF OUR FUTURE.

A MAN WHOSE CAPACITY TO RAISE ONE BILLION DOLLARS IN THE USA ***ALONE*** FOR A PRESIDENTIAL RACE –***DOES NOT EXIST*** – - ESPECIALLY A CANDIDATE WHOSE ONLY GOVERNMENTAL ACHIEVEMENTS HAVE BEEN MONUMENTAL INCOMPETENCE AND PRETERNATURAL DECEIT.

It seems to me that there’s a lot of age-ism in these ideas that the single best voice in the Republican list is denigrated with thoroughly media-brained demands for a department-store dummie for their candidate.

The dumb remarks about Dr Paul not fitting the department-store dummie image like all the rest just shows how the media has trained you to think the election is a beauty contest and horse race.

Dr Paul is a grandfather and great grandfather to admire and trust. All this fear-Obama scaring by the RINOs is to make true conservatives loose their nerve. It is cowardly to vote for the lesser of evils when there is a true Constitutional Conservative with a 30 year history of being straight to those principles.

And we’re looking forward to searching out and displaying the falsity of the ‘racism’ lying by the cowardly RINOs attempting to maintain their allegiance to the unConstitutional plans they have a history of pandering to, for their own share of the greed that is dragging this country down. We want Grandfather Paul.

      • Average Joe Patriot

Well, Capt, I thought of so many things to reply. A bunch of other people already said them.

I will just say this: NOBODY CAN GET ELECTED IF YOU DON’T VOTE FOR THEM BECAUSE THEY CAN’T GET ELECTED BECAUSE YOU WON’T VOTE THEM BECAUSE THEY CAN’T GET ELECTED BECAUSE YOU WON’T VOTE THEM BECAUSE THEY CAN’T GET ELECTED BECAUSE YOU WON’T VOTE THEM BECAUSE THEY CAN’T GET ELECTED BECAUSE YOU WON’T VOTE THEM BECAUSE THEY CAN’T GET ELECTED BECAUSE YOU WON’T VOTE THEM BECAUSE you won’t vote for them because they can’t…

…nah, I’m guessing you’re not getting it. Not that rigged voting machines won’t defeat us anyway. Personally, I’d just like to see what happens when that many concerned patriots get ripped off, have their sense of rationality and logic assaulted.

That boils down to, how many of us are actually left?

      • Larry

The press is so biased and inaccurate they are becoming irrelevant and everything they say is suspect. Neo-con conservatives have had a negative affect on our society and the world for far too long Ron Paul is the only candidate that gets it. Gengritch is a slime bag, Romney will be beholden to the Mormon church and the rest of the candidates just have the clear consistent message of Ron Paul. I love how Ron Paul’s message never changes regardless of the votes he could muster if he flip flopped. He just sticks to the facts.

      • Susanna

Yes, I’d like to also recommend that people go to Dr. Ron Paul’s Website for his Presidential Race and also read his “Statement of Faith”. He comes from a family of very devout people, and he’s not the idiot the media portray him to be. You’re safer with Ron Paul than all of the other Candidates put together. Has anyone watched it’s a Wonderful Life? Get the movie and see it, it explains exactly what the Federal Reserve has been doing to our currency and how they’ve done it. “It’s a Wonderful Life”???? you’ll say. Yes, remember, George Bailey was running Bailey Savings and Loan, the only computer not owned by the Rich Miser who wanted to control the entire town with his money manipulation. Ron Paul is George Bailey…the Federal Reserve is the Rich Miser. Look at the movie and learn a lesson in how people manipulate money to give themselves more power.

      • Susanna

Oops, I put the word “Computer” in instead of “Company”, just goes to show how Computer oriented we are these days. See my remark above.

      • http://ObserverfromPhoenix Tom the Observer

Susanna, your comments are so cute! I never knew this “movie”. But now I will go on his web and see it.
I have heard Paul is a very principled personality. I hope I have found
the one I can cast my vote for, namely the ONE that says “Vote for me for I want to serve this Country and the People, my compatriots!”
I’m tired of hearing “Vote for me for I am a Democrat!” or “Vote for me.
        I am a Republican!”
People in this Country may not know how the Communists in China had won over the People. Their slogan was “We serve the People wholeheartedly!”. That was true when they were not in power.

      • Namnang Dorje

I’ve read it and it talks about race war, shooting young blacks, young black females targeting white females for AIDS injections, war with the government. Kinda “incendiary” sure, and apparently signed by Ron Paul. If he can’t control where his signature goes how will he manage the geopolitical big time? If he didn’t sign or support what was being published/distributed, why did he allow his name to be associated? why did he claim that his education as a physician provided him the wit to figure out what was really going on in the FedGov as the newsletter states? If they were talking about Paul w’out his knowledge/consent perhaps there was/is a bigger problem. Mr. Obama is no better … and Ayers buddy hasn’t changed in 20 years … still subversive, still wants to make the USA a commie state. How many commies from 20 years ago do you think still want a commie revolution, uh, socialist revision, right here in the USA? Don’t be fooled by the passage of time. I know race haters from 20+ years ago who are still race haters. Reality is not conditioned by ideas, but sometimes ideas are conditioned by ideas (propaganda, popular -beliefs- [e.g., the 20 yrs thing]) instead of by fact.

      • Sean

Regarding the debunking of the comments, it has been shown that the comments released by the MSM are only half-quotes to make it seem like Ron Paul (or his ghostwriter) was racist.

For instance: The MSM released Paul’s comment “Our country is being destroyed by a group of actual and potential terrorists—and they can be identified by the color of their skin.”

When in reality, this was the 2ND HALF of a longer sentence that stated:

“Regardless of what the media tell us, most white Americans are not going to believe that they are at fault for what blacks have done to cities across America. The professional blacks may have cowed the elites, but good sense survives at the grass roots. Many more are going to have difficulty avoiding the belief that our country is being destroyed by a group of actual and potential terrorists—and they can be identified by the color of their skin. This conclusion may not be entirely fair, but it is, for many, entirely unavoidable.”

This is the most anti-racist statement one can find. But the MSM cuts out the previous sentences, AND THE ANTECEDENT PHRASE of the very sentence in question.

This shows you just how low they will sink to say he’s racist.

      • JeffH

        Thank you Sean.

      • http://ObserverfromPhoenix Tom the Observer

        Same feelings here.

      • Average Joe Patriot

Not to worry. Not only do “people of color” (as though any of us were transparent or even translucent) … they already get it (heck, they’ve been lied to at least as long if not a lot longer than “white” people have, dating back to the Indian, Jewish, and Arab slave traders who dominated the business of modern human subjugation at the time of our nation’s founding and long before. Many American blacks are Paul’s strongest supporters. They’ve had a lot of practice in seeing through the evil nonsense of color-coordinated human servitude. By the clever word, by the strong whip.

They perceive Obama as one of their worst enemies (with the Reverends Sharpton and Jackson not far behind). They are as sick of useless political rhetoric as are many of their fellow Americans of vari-colored hues, and recognize dangerous language when they hear it. What all of us are hearing from our “leaders” is dangerous language these days, and much of it boils down to treason against the principles of human freedom.

Paul is the only one who espouses maximum personal freedom. The rest advocate slavery. ALL of the rest promise us slavery with themselves as US plantation overseers. Promising us better rags, stolen from other slaves. Bad slaves. Encouraging us to be “good” slaves, so we will get the best table scraps.

Most of you reading these words could easily pay down your mortgage or several month’s worth of rent with the cost of the clothes on the backs of nearly every politician you see on CSPAN. They go to dinners which would feed your kids for a year.

We all know it. Our lives are run by multi-millionaires who couldn’t find their way out of Walmart. Because they’ve never been in one.

Why argue about which political party is the enemy? (This may not be directed at you, Sean, this ridiculous format doesn’t permit us to easily see what we’re responding to when we hold forth.) The purpose of voting is to have a say in our lives.

How is that we have no actual say, people? Jefferson, Paine, Adams, several others, said we do have a say…pick up a gun. Sounds extreme but…find one. Find a gun in Boston, or New York, or most of the places where freedom was first won.

      • Average Joe Patriot

Okay, and I just re-read you post, Sean. I did not go too far astray. You’re one of most eloquent and observant people in here. You get it.

      • Armed Drunkle Scotty

And another thing…I’ll have to change my handle. I’ve been in here for a couple of years, and have now seen so many names similar to mine (some of them obvious trolls attempting to dilute my messages) that I’ll have to distinquish myself as NOT them.

I’m not Average Joe. I’m not American Patriot or Joe American Patriot, etc. I’m now Armed Drunkle Scotty. Anyone out there want to play with that, have at it.

      • Mike

Because “managing America” does not involve controlling what everyone thinks, says, or writes. Americans have freedom to think rubbish, say rubbish, and write rubbish. (for examples, see Mitt and Newt)

To Robert Smith and other Paul detractors, who claim to be conservatives, following your own thought process about 1)you state “Paul can’t control his own organization”, you must agree then that Obama can’t control his own organization and must be held accountable for the actions of his people, like Eric Holder and his blunder then deniablity of his involvement in the “Fast and Furious” attempt at undermining the 2nd Amendment of the Constitution, Or, if you really are not a democrat, how about the Flip-Flopping acrobatics of Mitt Romney or the Lobbyiest (I’ll support anything for money)Newt Gingrich. All 4 of the people mentioned here have track records. Everyone needs to do their homework and not rely on any one source for information to make the best decision you can on who you want moving the US forward from 2013. I truly believe that this next election will probably be the most important election in the histroy of the US. It may very well be the election that shapes what kind of country the US will be for decades to come. The decision to vote for this candidate or that candidate is lest important to me, than getting rid of the “Creature that lives in the White House” (might make a good horror movie title!) No one candidate will please everyone’s agenda. But we MUST remove Obama, if we want America to Survive!

      • http://ObserverfromPhoenix Tom the Observer

I love your clear demarcation line! But that is only the first line.
To put the Country back on the original course we must find the ONE committed to turn the clock back! Who is to be this ONE American Hero?
American Superman? Unafraid of challenges, of controversies? Ready to serve and sacrifice himself?

      • fred

So what if he is a racist. So are 12 million blacks and 14 million mexicans. What’s wrong with knowing the truth and telling it. You chicken.

      • Gman

Fred: are you a pollster ? It’s funny, because I’m not white and I have NEVER BEEN POLLED on or for anything. Is that racist ? After all, I live in this country, too. From the way you talk, you must have polled many, many people. Were they racists ? Or did you ask those good ole’ boys who only speak the truth ? Just curious where yuo got your info from.

      • FreeMan

I cannot find a difference if one votes for someone because of his or her gender, color, religion, ethnicity or other reason and someone that votes against one for the same reason. Isn’t each equally racial or gender biased? And explain why it is OK in Congress to have a black or a Hispanic Caucus when their job is to represent all.

      • Tom

What was the result when they dug this up in 2008 to discredit him? It went away as irrevelant….in fact, back in those days, when he was informed certain writers were publishing comments contrary to his philosophy and stand on issues, he ceremoniously FIRED THEM! Again, put aside the rediculousness of trying to say he’s a racist, PLEASE…just look at his RECORD and VALUES he’s DEMONSTRATED over the past until now…it’s a person’s ACTIONS that show WHO he is…these immature attacks are just that, immature and MORONIC! Compare his record and values to those he’s running against….NO COMPARISON!! He’s head and shoulders ABOVE the other candidates AND Obama too….Obama’s establishment fears him, that’s why these things have surfaced again…but it’s not enough to discredit a man whose record is more consistent than the other candidates trips to the bathroom! GET REAL and GROW UP!

      • Gman

I agree Rob. How, in this day and age of “mis” and “dis” information can we expect to truly learn anything about anyone running for office when the stakes are sooo high ? What and where is the proof that Mr. Paul did not have anything to do with the disparagement of minorities in his newsletters, etc. ? Why should we believe one source of information over another ? It really seems to point to whoever you side with as to who you will believe. After all, everyone who writes an article or publishes a newsletter has a perspective from which they write. So, I tend to take everything said about anyone of “importance” (elected officials, etc.) with a grain or two of salt. After all, if the layperson could ferret out the truth in these matters, we wouldn’t need the pundits, et al to tell us what is truth and what to think, would we ?

      • David Robertson Perth Scotland

        @Gman:

There are ways to determine who wrote the articles. The first is the statement from Dr. Paul himself which is reliable based upon his character and track record that is in the public domain.

The second is testimony from Lew Rockwell the present chairman of the Ludwig von Mises Institute who worked with Murray Rothbard (now deceased) at the newsletter publishing company and who was in a position to know that Dr. Paul did not write the words in question.

Dr. Paul had only a minority interest in the company and contributed articles on hard money investing. His primary focus was on his work as an ob/gyn physician surgeon.

Finally there is the internal evidence of “voice”. Anyone who knows Dr. Paul, has heard him speak and has read his writings knows without a shadow of a doubt that he did not write these words.

It is true that one is faced constantly with lies, distortions and evasions in political media but this is one of the main reasons that people flock to Dr. Paul. They can sense an honest decent man who is without guile and has lived his life according to the principles of liberty and personal responsibility that he has espoused. Everyone who knows him, and there are many thousands now, will give this testimony. One should ask for nothing more than that.

      • David Robertson Perth Scotland

The quick answer is that he doesn’t want to run the world or run your lives or manage the economy like the present lot and all the other candidates. He wants to leave that to the People. It’s called Liberty.

        Here is the longer answer:

The enemies of the American people are attacking Dr. Paul with these accusations because he threatens their corrupt control of the US government.    They believe that if they repeat their lies often enough the people will come to believe them.    In your case they appear to have succeeded.

He did not write the offending words in the newsletters which in any case have been taken out of literary and historical context. Properly understood they are simply politically incorrect and uncontroversial for the time they were written.

For the record, he was merely a minority shareholder in the newsletter operation during the period in question. His full time work was as an ob/gyn physician and he contributed occasional articles to the newsletter on hard money (gold and silver) investment strategies.  Those subscribers who took his advice are now sitting pretty and are well able to ride out the coming storms in the financial markets.  If the US Congress had heeded his warnings then we would not be in the present mess.

Given the feigned horror of the parasitical punditry Dr. Paul has taken the moral high road.  He has forthrightly disavowed the spirit of those words he did not write and has pointed to the evidence of his entire life, words and actions which speak loudly in his defence.   In spite of being pressed to do so he has refused to name anyone else apart from himself, taking all the moral responsibility for what was done in his name by taking action to ensure it did not happen again. He has endured constant attacks ever since without retaliation against any of his attackers. Anyone who is familiar with Dr. Paul’s writing and speaking style knows that he did not write the words that have been attacked.

He has the support of more minorities than any other candidate because of his firm, consistent positions against the unjust Federal War on Drugs and the unjust Federal death sentence both of which fall disproportionately on the black community.  As a physician he never accepted any government funding under Medicaid or Medicare and treated poor minority patients either free or at greatly reduced cost.

Rather than simply regurgitate the dung you are being fed by the controlled media you should read and listen to what Dr. Paul has been actually writing, saying and doing for the past 35 years rather than ascribing to him words he did not write and accusing him of attitudes he has NEVER manifested.

      • http://ObserverfromPhoenix Tom the Observer

I am so glad to hear you come forth to defend a man of principles. I will spend time to learn about him in depth. I do have a few points to ask for his own clarifications. Because Paul’s vision is so different from the other candidates. I am especially keen on knowing his world visions! I am impressed with his professional background, entirely different from the carriers embarked by others. In my native culture a doctor is considered the most altruistic personality of them all!
Thank you for your eloquent elucidation!

      • JeffH

David Robertson Perth Scotland, isn’t it unfortunate that so many of the American voters cannot see as clearly as a Scottsman(I’m assuming)from a foreign land. Thank’s for your comment.

Give me a brake! How many statements, both inflammatory as well as racist, not to mention the vast number of decisions made by Obama’s minions have gone unanswered and unaccounted for? Ever hear of “Fast & Furious?” Every organization, from the Girl Scouts local organization in Walla Walla, Washington to the NSA have zealots or out and out loose cannons in their midst. Nothing which took place decades ago with his newsletter fits the precept of “Plausible Deniability” today. Ask this question to find its relevancy in today’s discussion, are any of those people, newsletter staffers, part of his current entourage? Can the same be said about Obama? Do Bill Ayers, Rev.Jeremiah Wright, Eric Holder, and the list goes on and on seem to be the kind of people you would want as the foundational and current support peoples in our president’s life? An old Japanese proverb concerning personal character goes like this, “If you cannot discern the character of a man, look at the friends he keeps,” or, the Anglo-Saxon version, “Birds of a feather flock together.” I don’t see Ron Paul going anywhere with racist zealots decrying the viewpoint of white supremacy in any form or fashion. Ever hear of a Southern Governor named George Wallace? Alabama and George Wallace, stood as one of the last defiant bastions of racial segregation, yet the man reformed his position, both personally as well as politically and became a genuine contender for the nomination of his party for the office of president. In his state, both whites and Blacks adored, loved, and respected that man because right or wrong, he took a position and defended his state from what he perceived as an intrusion by the Federal Government in the affairs of the State of Georgia. Sadly, an attempted assignation cut his run short and left him paralyzed. So, before you hop on the bandwagon to trash Ron Paul for the obvious transgressions of past newsletter staffers, look at the man himself and you will find that there is absolutely no evidence that Dr. Paul holds these beliefs as core values in his life.

      • Howlingmad

The “COMMENTS” your talking about, were NOT in “HIS”, newsletter . . . they were published by someone who TRIED SAYING that it was “SAID” by him, when IN FACT, it had “NOT BEEN”. These so called COMMENTS, are both a “LIE”, an “WORTHLESS” . . . if you “KNEW” the man, you would KNOW, how “STUPID” those comments were . . .which you clearly “DON’T”.

      • TonyA

The racism garbage is just that – garbage. Racism is now fully integrated in to the public school curriculum and television, and so, our society. It is taught, it is unavoidable – it is a tool of the “left”. Tolerance, diversity, sensitivity, etc. … just more “do as I say, not as I do” leftist rhetoric. Now, before you get stinky – put your thinking cap on and you’ll realize that all but a few of the Washington elite are “leftists”. Everything other than liberty is a leftist ideology. Welfare is welfare! It matters not whether the recipient is a corporation or a down-trodden immigrant, the “welfare” is welfare. Who cares whether it is Marxism or fascism? Neither follows our founding. The liberty of the individual man (genderless… for you PC pukes) is all that the gov’t is chartered to protect. All of us have been taught racism. It’s the only way to get it! If you have children, you know this to be true, as they will embrace and play with anyone. So, if you’re troubled by racism, pray that one of our enemies drops a nuke on Washington and wipes the whole lot out. Starting over is the only way – replacing them one at a time will change nothing. Democrat=Republican=leftist… get it right.

      • Jason

Robert Smith. Have you read the letters in their entirety?? Or did you take the time to evaluate the content based on the snippets the media has provided. I can certainly sit down and have a conversation with just about anyone and later on find a way to spin particular comments within that rhetoric to my advantage.
If you dig deeper, what about the riots in LA over Mr. King. What one of those letter states is nearly true, if you look back at the chronology of events, the riots themselves did dissipate around the first of the month. This is not opinion. My only wish is that Mr. Paul would clarify his involvement with the publication. In reality even if he states they were authored by him, it would have no bearing on my choosing him as the right candidate. I pity the man if he does get elected as he’ll surely suffer the same fate as all others who have opposed the FED. Our Great Country is much further gone than meets the eye.

DaveH/libertrain…As Alinsky suggested…Camouflage is key to Alinsky-style…True revolutionaries do not flaunt their radicalism, Alinsky taught. They cut their hair, put on suits and infiltrate the system from within. Alinsky viewed revolution as a slow, patient process. The trick was to penetrate existing institutions such as churches, unions and political parties…I hink we see these tactics almost daily.

Dave, as an Independent, I have to caution everyone here about the Liberal left, unions and Communists supporting Ron Paul and possibly why you see his numbers up. Those supporters will disappear should he win the nomination. The information on their support came from what I consider a Liberal Newspaper and therefore question why they would report something like this as i would seem counter productive.
I am going to vote for whoever the Republican nominee is because we are serious trouble if Obama is reelected.

So you think all Democrats are thieving redistributionists, budman?

As the wolves gobble up the sheep, I will fight for personal responsibility risk and reward as established by our founding fathers in our Constitution and Bill of Rights. The only one I see who has consistently fought for our freedom is Paul. Paul is supported by innumerable members of all parties despite what the media wants us to hear. I’ve read several comments by you and I think you are bordering on breaking the comment policy of this discussion, get a grip!
Just curious, who is your pick for 2012? My guess is Newt! But what will we get with a Newt presidency? Could it possibly get worse than Obama? With that question seeping into your frontal cortex let me quote from a book called “Creating a New Civilization” by Alvin and Heidi Toffler, Forwarded by that lusty former Speaker of the House:” The time has come for the next great step forward in American politics, it is not a matter of Democrats verses Republicans,or right verses left, but something more sugnificant… a clear distinction between rear guard politicians who wish to preserve or restore an unworkable past and those who are ready to transition to what we call a “Third Wave” information age society…”
:…a new civilization is emerging in our lives, and blind men everywhere are trying to suppress it. This new civilization is bringing with it new family styles, changed ways…a new economy, new political conflicts, and altered consciousness… humanity faces a quantum leap forward. This is the meaning of the “Third Wave.”
“…our argument is based on what we call the “revolutionary premise”…the revolutionary premise liberates our intellect and will”
“Nationalism is… first wave. The globalization of business and finance required by advancing Third Wave economies routinely punctures the “sovereignty” the nationalists hold so dear.”
“As economies are transformed by the Third Wave, they are compelled to surrender part of their sovereignty… poets and intellectuals of Third Wave states sing the virtues of a borderless world and planetary consciousness.”
“The Third Wave demassifies culture, values and morality…there are more diverse belief systems.”
“The Constitution of the United States needs to be reconsidered and altered… to create a whole new structure of government…building a Third Wave civilization on the wreckage of Second Wave institutions involves the design of new, more appropriate political structures…the system that served us so well must, in it’s turn, die and be replaced.”
So, Gingrich’s goals, (in a nutshell) are to destroy American Sovereignty. Or am I reading more into
“Creating a New Civilization” than is intended by the authors and their cohort, Newt Gingrich???

Wolf, I painfully agree with you. Bankers, Drug dealers so many scums will be out of busines with Ron Paul. For someone who goes by the name “Capt”, you sure appear to be gutless. Be a man and vote your conscience. ANY candidate can beat Obama now that his ineptitude has been revealed by a couple years in office. Ron Paul can and should be given the Republican nomination because of his good character, integrity, and common sense. If that doesn’t happen, it will be because of cowardly voters, who think that we have to accept a candidate without those qualities in order to beat the liberal Obama. We must never cower to the pundits and liberal media, but stand up and vote for what’s right and let the chips fall where they may.

      • Mary

You are just one of the many waste of oxygen in this country.

      • SKP

Little Wolfie, for you to call anyone “pseudo-intelectual” (sic) … what IS that? … jealousy? To imply that Ron Paul supporters are all pot smokers is … perhaps wishful thinking on your part, because that would seem to your ilk to bring them down to your level. But it’s quite incorrect and foolish. And it shows you as a mere crank.

Then you go on to quote the dumb-dumb-jerkoff media and say that Ron Paul can’t win. What WILL you get right, Wolfie?!

Ron Paul is only dangerous to the utterly contemptible status quo and its purveyors. THIS IS A GOOD THING.

Heh, I had to laugh when you pointed up that America did, in fact, elect Barhack Doh-bombya. Got a point there. But this: “And you are so diluded (sic) to believe that NOW, oh yes NOW, they will elect Paul?” statement by you ignores the fact that the Doh-bombya presidency has PEAKED animosity to horse manure. Thus, it may be that on pure anger alone, Paul will win.

Voting for the lesser of evils is what so many in California did, having ousted Dippie Davis: they went on to elect Davis, just with dark hair, muscles, and an accent. They were SO AFRAID that the good candidate (McClintock) didn’t have the name recognition that they shot themselves (and pretty well the country) in the foot to go for the … dingbat who had name recognition. IDIOTS! McClintock would have won, otherwise, and things would have been better.

Lesser of two evils, my arse. No, Wolfie! BAD DOG! That argument is dead. DEAD!

If Ron Paul doesn’t win, I fear that whoever is elected will be Obama’s extension, just as Obama is Bush’s extension. YYYEEEEKS

      • Mike

That’s right. Either the Republicans can get behind Ron Paul, or they can enjoy another 4 years of Barack in the white-house.

      • http://verizon.net budman

Mike: I am afraid that is exactly what will happen if Paul is the nominee. When the numbers start ringing up across the states, we will see who prevails and I think you will find Paul is not as popular as you think he is. I love the man for his honesty and truth to the Constitution but he scares me on foreign policy and he would unwittingly get us involved in a major conflict in the middle east by ignoring Iran.

Do you mean to suggest that we are not already involved in a major conflict in the Middle East? Ron Paul is our hope to get out of such conficts.

      • JC

Do you mean a foreign policy of not screwing around in the internal affairs of sovereign nations? How is that “scary”?

      • mickey

ACORN won the election. More and more evidence from several states are seeing obama did not have the signatures to be on the ballot (legal ones). Just like Newt. Should Newt be able to bully states into accepting this? NOT this time around.

I won’t even go into the fraudulent votes. Pelosi pulled a fast one. I hope the repubs/dems keep BOTH parties our of the fraud.

      • http://verizon.net budman

Mickey: The Democratic Party has used voter fraud for decades and they will be doing the same this election. Consider that in the last election in California alone, there were over 2 million illegal votes for Democrats. Harry Reid won recently in Nevada by rigging the voting machines with help from the union and using the illegal vote and had the gall to brag about the fact he would use the illegal vote to win. Eric Holder is fighting in three states against the requirement of having a valid ID for our citizens to vote yet gives the illegal immigrant a free phone to call in for welfare benefits which ties with their right to obtain a drivers license; an ID to vote illegally. I imagine it will be an uphill fight to overcome millions of illegal voters and at this point not much can be done about it except overwhelming them with numbers of our own.

      • http://ObserverfromPhoenix Tom the Observer

And how do you suggest to get this accomplished? By creating divisiveness amongst the goodwill voters?

      • jimmy the greek

They elected obongo ! Now That came as a major shock ,

      • vicki

Lessor of 2 evils? bitter pill? Boil the frog more slowly? I think not. The lessor argument has been used since I was old enough to vote. All it has gotten me is evil. There are now only 2 choices left to me. Vote principle or vote for the greater evil so that maybe the frog will wake-up in time.

I choose, as I have since the turn of the century (or longer :) ) Principle. Ron Paul FTW. Join us and save the Republic or not and reap the fruit of the lessor of 2 evils. Which is still evil.

Mr Paul can’t do it alone so we also must vote principle for all the house and senate seats too. And many others have pointed out and New Mexico (amongst others shows) that State and local votes must also be on principle.

      • Marty

The “lesser of two evils” is STILL evil—and no GOOD can ever come of it. I say vote your conscience; vote for the candidate who best represents your political and moral philosophy. And I say “best represents” because no candidate (other than yourself) can represent your philosophy 100%.

      • Average Joe

“You pseudo-intelectual pot smoking Ron Paul supporters might just be the death of this great country.”

Care to ellaborate? Evidence to prove any of your theory?

“Who is the most dangerous man for president in 2012? Is ti Osama? I mean Obama?”

Considering your post, I would have to say without hesitation, You would be.

” He cannot win. He will never win. ”

Not according to 95% of the polls….Seems to me to have plenty of support….how’s your candidate of choice doing in the polls?

“You so foolishly ignore the fact that America elected Barack Hussein Osama. And you are so diluded to believe that NOW, oh yes NOW, they will elect Paul?”

Are you insinuating that because people voted one way before, that they are incapable of waking up to reality and making an “informed” decision concerning who they want to lead thier nation?

“Wake up, GROW up, and swallow the bitter pill that is the lesser of two evils,”

I am fully awake, you on the other hand, I have my doubts about.

You are free to swallow whatever you choose to swallow….however, don’t try to feed me the load of garbage you’ve been swallowing….I tend to feed my mind better than that.

I don’t particularly who you intend to vote for, as I will be casting my vote for Dr. Ron Paul.

        Why is that?
It is obvious to me ( as it should be to everyone else) that what we have been doing….ISN”T WORKING…..and maybe…just maybe, it’s time to take a new approach to the way this nation is beng run.
Maybe, just maybe it’s time to stop electing “business as usual” “mainstream” candidates….who continue to run our nation into the ground while ignoring the will of the people and the rule of law.
If we were to elect Dr. Ron Paul, could he really be any worse than what we’ve had over the last 40+ years (both sides)? If we were to elect him and he doesn’t make changes that positively affect our nation….can we not vote him out in another 4 years?
Albert Einstein once said that the definition of insanity was doing the same thing over and over…and expecting to get a different result. Isn’t it time that we stopped the insanity?
While I am not asking anyone to vote for any particular candidate, I will ask that you spend more time actually looking into all of the candidates’ backgrounds ( voting records, campaign finances…who they’ve made deals with etc.). learn everything you can about the candidates (not the MSM talking heads versions…do the research yourselves), so that on election day….you can make an informed decision about who you want to represent you in government….
Remember, what they do is a direct reflection on us…..if they do foolish things….it makes us look like we elected foolish people….which means we look like fools for electing them in the first place.
I don’t know about anyone else, but I am tired of the insanity and will be casting my vote for Ron Paul.
You can say that I am wasting my vote….well , I guess that’s OK….it is after all…MY….vote……it doesn’t belong to any party or candidate….it belongs to me …to cast as my conscience dictates.
I hope eveyone makes informed decisions concerning our future as a nation.

The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie, deliberate, contrived and dishonest, but the myth, persistent, persuasive and unrealistic.
        John F. Kennedy

      • http://ObserverfromPhoenix Tom the Observer

I am going to say you are not an Average Joe! You have made your points, based on sage’s doctrines. And I can also sense your intense eagerness to deal with the Country’s dire situations. I share your concerns and I will give all the time necessary to study Ron Paul.
I haven’t hear enough of him. I just hope he will come off his scholarly attitude and more forcefully and “grandfatherly” expounds his convictions.

      • WickedPickle

” He cannot win. He will never win. Not according to 95% of the polls”…

AJ.. Have you forgotten that ‘Loser’ in 1948? Even the media blurted out Dewey as their leader in black and white but Truman fooled them.. HE FOOLED THEM ALL!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tNpVbfmF6vg&feature=related (ha!ha!ha!).. Now you’re crowing that 95% of the polls say Ron Paul doesn’t have a chance.. Well, I guess then that only those 5% will get out and vote then show you up as the political lap dog that you are.

      • APN

…. and what makes RP any different from the aforesaid? I’ve looked at his record….unimpressive at best. I see no real difference in him and the rest of these clowns we have in Washington. How long has RP been in Washington anyway? 100+ years or so?

We need a candidate that HAS NEVER BEEN IN WASHINGTON…period! So, given the fact that this is not an option, now, anyway, then I will vote for the best candidate to defeat this communist we have in the WH.

RP is not that man and cannot win. Elect him as our nominee and find it out the hard way.

      • heartlandhelen

~~Sorry Wolf, but you are one sorry Dude!! It’s a foregone conclusion that the ‘pot smoking’ crowd is busy on Wall Street at the moment..(the unwashed ones) and, as I recollect, they are solidly behind the Big Zero.. He who promises true Utopia… Work is for saps too stupid to ‘work the system’…
I’m impressed that there are no spelling mistakes in Gman’s reply to your rant; not to mention that it’s the best sentence structure he has demonstrated to this point..

      • Jason

Wolf. Yours is a narrow minded view. For the same reason Obama was elected is exactly why a candidate like Paul can win. The people long for a difference maker. Youre right about one thing, if Paul doesn’t get the GOP nomination (Im actually thinking even if he wins the majority of primary’s he wont)His allegiance of followers are so loyal that the sheer amount of write ins for him is certain to doom the repub nominee. In my eyes, it really doesn’t matter. The elite have cast a spell of partisanship to confuse the sheeple of America. Democrat, Republican….who cares. Whats in a name anyway? The truth is they all run on platform and do, for the most part, exactly the same thing once they get to Washington! Which is find a way to better themselves and their constituents, while keeping themselves in favor for re-election. Damn the people and the betterment of society! So to me the difference between Obama and Newt is nil. They’re both puppets. At least with Newt or Mitt you can trace back their American heritage, for what its worth. Also even if Paul loses, Libertarians win. I say this because based on the huge amount of support he’s received running on constitutional platform, theres bound to be another Ron Paul in 2016. One a little younger, with a little less baggage, ready to appeal to the pissed off masses after 4 more years of Socialistic non sense from the Obama camp. I for one only hope we can make it that long without succumbing to a one world economy or WW3. Maybe the Mayans were onto something.

      • Average Joe

        WickedPickle,
I I realize it has been a long time answering you, but, I believe you need to go back and re-read my post.
Anything in ” ” is what The Wolf posted…followed by my response w/o” “.I am and have been a Ron Paul for many years…and that isn’t like to change anytime soon.
        Thnx, AJ

    • Old Henry

It will be fun to watch if Ron Paul should come in SECOND and Newtie comes s in first That will make Newtie irrevelant and Ron Paul the man – for they have cast the mold for first v second. Congressman Paul could then campaign on the note that Newtie was first which by declaration of the elites makes him irrevelant.

    • Paul

I don’t care what some of you say or not, I am NOT voting for Ron Paul even if he wins the nomination. Just think about it, He talks about honesty and the constitution, but he doesn’t mind giving false statements on national TV and discredit his peers just to win a few votes. where is his integrity? We all know that neither Bachman nor Santorum are racist nor fanatics as he puts it. they just don’t agree with him like 90% of the country in both parties. He says he defends the constitution, well I got news for you, the constitution was not base of false statements by the founders or made for somebody to try to manipulate it in his favor.
I am stoping my subscription to this news letter and similar ones

        Paul —— ¡Adiós!

      • Paradigmshift

        Bravo!!

      • Eddie G.

OK Paul,be a self defeatist. You can start by learning how to spell “stopping” correctly Mr. Stoping. Now your absence at the polls will be a vote for Oboy. Are you that worried about Paul? I don’t like Romney neither but better to have a no good RINO than a smell to high heaven Dummycrat who’s busy destroying the country with lefty ideology. I’m for Paul because he’s a solid conservative who needs to pull Joe the Plumber in for his Veep. But if it comes down to Romney then I’ll hold my nose while voting for him because the porch monkey has to go at any cost.

I see “downer” has spoken his words of “wisdom”. Now if I had realized I was so popular with you duaner I would have jumped on this article sooner but thanks for the publicity. Either I must really have your attention or you are running scared if you feel the need to bring my name up.

      • heartlandhelen

OH BROTHER!! Paul, JLC and the one starting with P—
You want to talk about “Truth”? Let’s start with– well, I’m feeling charitable– YOU pick the democrat you hold to be the paragon of TRUTH and I’ll ‘cut him a new one’… as they say in the heartland …
And, don’t worry… I can guarantee that Ron Paul won’t miss your vote… His appeal is with the educated. He understands…

      • http://ObserverfromPhoenix Tom the Observer

I declare I haven’t heard too many times Bachmann or Santorum speeches. But a few times, when they were given microphone on radio talk shows they did sound kind hysteric and staunchly stubborn about their views or their declared actions on certain international issues. Are they fanatic enough? Well, that depends on how far they want to push their views or their suggested actions. I, for one, believe they ought to be first of all representatives of American people, not a foreign country’s interests. Do you think America needs to be continuously dragged into bottomless international conflicts when neither side wants to achieve mutually acceptable terms of peace or coexistence? And I don’t buy the high sounding “historic” validity or certification held by a certain former House Speaker. If Palestinian people were “invented” race, where have they ever lived?
History is a science just like any other and cannot be adjusted to suit certain candidate’s need to corral certain social segments’ votes or sympathy.

      • kkflash

        Adios, moron.

      • WAELORDX

THANKS FOR TAKING YOUR IGNORANCE ELSEWHERE. No other idiots need apply.

    • John

We have a choice this comming election. Its either for Congressman Ron Paul or for David’s Rockefellers boys Barack Obama, Rick Perry, Mitt Romney, and Newit Gingrich. Ron Paul is my number one choice. He has the best deal in the country. The others belong to the “New World Order” crowd, big government, more regulations. and new and better wars!

      • Brady

What proof is their that Paul is racist ? Their is none. You people out their against Paul are uneducated.Do not believe the manipulated news media.Do some research,go on the internet.Read the American Free Press and you’ll really find out what is happening, not only in the US,but throughout the world. The banksters, like the Rockefellers,Rothchilds,Warburgs,Schiff,Loeb etc.run and own the Federal Reserve and most of Washington, the news media,Hollywood. They are the movers and shakers of the world. If you don’t understand this and do some investigating, you will never vote correctly.

Ron Paul is the only candidate that wants individual Liberty and to downsize our government.Everyone else wants to increase the size of gov’t.Most of what he says makes sense and when you listen to him,he teaches.Whether he is 76 or 96,he seems to have all cylinders working, further,he rides his bike 20 miles a day.Do you think ol’ Newt could do that ? He looks like he could drop dead just by tying his own shoelaces.

      • Average Joe

        Brady,
Did you oops on this post? Seems to me that John’s post was Pro- Ron Paul…..not Anti- Ron Paul. There was no comment in the post about Ron Paul being a rasist that I was able to find…..

      • http://ObserverfromPhoenix Tom the Observer

May I add, more disastrous wars!

    • Motley

I don’t know exactly what was in Dr.Paul’s newsletter of 20 years ago that is being touted as racist now but if it involved the “N” or “Spic” words that’s not any different than Jesse Jackson’s reference to the Jewish community as “Himietown” of some years ago. The words are unfair to any large group of people of any race, creed or culture. To call one individual a slur doesn’t make an entire group but is always perceived as such. The slurs are based on behaviours, actions and words associated with the slur and unfortunately there are individuals who meet the definitions. As far as I have read, Dr.Paul is a humanitarian, has come up with rational solutions for us all to get along in an often uncivilized world and is even being promoted overseas. He has my vote and I hope to God he wins. No one even comes close in my book.

    • heartlandhelen

      sc:
You are indeed remarkable, sort of. your obsession with street-walkers and septic tanks makes your post difficult to read.. but further along, the problem is solved.. You don’t appear to know diddly-crap about what is going on in the world..
Sweetie, Socialism/Communism/Totalitarian just plain doesn’t work..
Why else are we having to bail out all those failed countries whose uneducated, give me something for nothing citizens have chosen?
The right to vote doesn’t guarantee intelligence.
I say give Ron Paul a chance to save America from the free-loaders… including street-walkers, whom I’d bet the farm are/were Obama supporters…

    • Jude

One insignificant”critique” of Paul that amounts to a hill of beans is that using the term ‘black’ is condescending.
Clearly, white or black journalists and Paul spoke of ‘whites’ in the same breath as ‘blacks.’ It was choosing a term of succinctness that mattered, not typing ‘Afro-American’ continually. God forbid that we have to type all of the places where whites possibly came from or that whites were androgynous to appeal to both sexes!].
