Educating The 95 Percent

Educating The 95 Percent

“If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their Fathers conquered.” — Thomas Jefferson

According to my very unscientific analysis, only about 5 percent of the conscious American adult population (those who bother to follow issues at a minimum level and vote in national elections) truly understand inflation and how the Federal Reserve’s policies are stealing your wealth every day. Sadly, that percentage becomes frighteningly lower when combined with the rest of the American sheeple.

Remember that out of a voting age population of about 218 million people, only about 129.4 million cast votes in the 2008 Presidential election. The rest couldn’t trouble themselves enough to lay aside their bag of chips and can of Coke, turn off the idiot box, get off the couch and trudge down to the polling place to push a button on a machine or fill in a blank on a voting card.

I and many others write often of inflation’s devastating effects. Yet the hue and cry for the elimination of the Federal Reserve, the tarring and feathering of Ben Bernanke (and Alan Greenspan), the return to sound money and the elimination of fiat currency are seldom seen outside of Austrian economic blogs or heard outside of Ron Paul rallies.

Oh, yes, Rick Perry once called Bernanke “treasonous.” But he backed off because he couldn’t really explain what he was talking about. And Newt Gingrich has called for an audit of the Fed, but that didn’t resonate with his followers so it’s gone the way of his criticism of “conservative social engineering” and belief in man-caused global warming in Newt’s lexicon. Now Newt’s simply angling to be Herman Cain’s running mate.

Of the politicians on the national stage, only Congressman Ron Paul has consistently preached about the evils of the Federal Reserve’s monetary policies, the dangers of inflation and the need to truly rein in government spending. Yet, if you believe the national polls, Paul is garnering only about 10 percent support from so-called conservatives.

Americans sought “Hope and Change” in 2008. Fed up with eight years of President George W. Bush’s ill-advised wars and profligate spending, they elected a Marxist who offered the vague promise that he would “fundamentally transform America.” His statement to Joe the Plumber that “we need to spread the wealth around” was either ignored, dismissed or embraced by about 60 percent of the voters.

Americans wanted change, but they didn’t get a change in direction. They got acceleration. All President Barack Obama has done is double down on George W. Bush’s policies and push us closer to European-style socialism — which is failing rapidly in Europe — and move us ever closer toward complete totalitarianism. The only difference is the rhetoric over where the wealth should come from and which special interest should get the most of it.

But this is not just about Bush and Obama. Federal spending increases year after year and Federal power grows year after year regardless of whether the President has a “D” or an “R” after his name and regardless of which party controls Congress.

America is a police state, a military state, a welfare state. It’s all made possible by the Federal Reserve and increased Federalism.

The Federal Reserve was conceived in a secret meeting at a wealthy retreat on a barrier island called Jekyll Island, Ga., in 1910. The principals involved were: Senator Nelson Aldrich, the father-in-law of John D. Rockefeller Jr., representing Rockefeller interests and the Standard Oil crowd; Paul Warburg, a German banker representing MM Warburg of Hamburg, European banking interests (including the Rothschilds) and Kuhn Loeb in the U.S.; Henry P. Davison, partner in J.P. Morgan and chairman of Bankers Trust Company (a consortium of New York’s biggest banks); Benjamin Strong, vice president of Bankers Trust; Frank Vanderlip, chairman of National City Bank; and Charles D. Norton, president of the First National Bank.[i] Assistant U.S. Secretary of the Treasury Abraham Piatt Andrew is also reported to have attended. [ii]

Their work later evolved into the bill — the Federal Reserve Act — that formed the Federal Reserve and that was rammed through the House and Senate in 1913. The House version passed by a 287-85 margin, and most Congressmen didn’t even know what the bill was about. No amendments were allowed, and members were only given the opportunity to vote for or against. The bill was named for Representative Carter Glass of Virginia (a director of the United Loan and Trust and the Virginia Trust Company).[iii]

After passing the House, the bill went to the Senate where it took exactly four and half hours to debate and pass in the Senate by a 43-25 margin. Named the Owen Bill after Senator Robert Latham Owen of Oklahoma — a major stockholder of the First National Bank of Muskogee — the Republicans did not even see the conference report, which is normally read to the floor, and some Senators said they had no knowledge of the contents of the bill. President Woodrow Wilson signed the bill the same day it was passed.[iv]

And guess who was appointed to head the New York Federal Reserve? None other than Benjamin Strong, J.P. Morgan minion, former vice president of Bankers Trust and one of the original conspirators that met on Jekyll Island to draft the bill that would create the Federal Reserve.[v] Likewise, the Washington Federal Reserve was headed by two Morgan men, two Rockefeller minions, two men of undetermined affiliations: a prominent Alabama banker and an economist with vague family connections to Morgan family interests.[vi]

What did this law do? It established a private bank that controlled U.S. monetary policy. Although named Federal Reserve, the bank is not a part of the Federal government. It is a private for-profit entity. It holds no reserves, but lends “money” to other banks — both in the United States and abroad — and the Federal government. The loans must be paid back with interest. But the money the Fed lends is not real money. It’s simply a kited check.

It has the authority to arbitrarily set interest rates and lend money to whomever it wishes, and it has no real accountability to Congress or the President.

The Fed has a monopoly of the issue of all bank notes. National and State banks can issue only deposits, and the deposits are redeemable only in Federal Reserve Notes. All banks are forced to become members of the Federal Reserve System. The Fed is the lender of last resort, and that power allows it to inflate in order to bail out banks.[vii]

How does inflating steal your wealth? I have written before that even if you stored your dollars 40 miles deep, the money creators can steal the purchasing power of your paper money.

It is as simple a concept as supply and demand. With more money chasing fewer goods, more and more money is required to make a purchase. If you put your money in a certificate of deposit in the bank paying 1 percent interest, but inflation is running at 3.9 percent (the official tally from Washington), then your bank savings are losing money. It is like pouring water into milk. The more water you pour, the less milk is left.

Everyone is hurt, particularly those on a fixed income. The more money that is spewed out, the more worthless each one of those paper dollars is. In the past 100 years, the dollar has lost 95 percent of its value. Put another way; it now costs $1 to buy what once cost 5 cents.

This is no secret to the elites, although it is rare they will tell the truth. In 1967, long before he became Fed chairman and began dissembling, in a moment of candor Alan Greenspan wrote:

As the supply of money increases relative to the supply of tangible assets in the economy, prices must eventually rise. In the absence of the gold standard, there is no way to protect savings from confiscation through inflation. There is no safe store of value.

Now spread this message to your friends and family.

And consider this: The next election will be a referendum on the economy. Only one Presidential candidate has demonstrated an understanding of what has brought the U.S. economy to this point. Only one candidate predicted the bursting of the housing bubble long before it came. Only one candidate has been consistent for 30 years. It’s Ron Paul, and a vote for anyone else is a vote against your own pocketbook.

Why would I bother voting anymore? Presidents are run by the same handlers regardless of the party. Take a look at elite insider Carol QuIgley’s book, “Tragedy and Hope,” to get a bit of a clue. You’re spinning your wheels if you even think about voting. Look at my point so far. What good has it done anyone to vote? Isn’t insanity defined as doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result? Let’s do like the Amish and shun. Let’s have tumble weeds and crickets on election day. That ought to make the black limousine crowd on the Potomac nervous enough. Stop giving away your energy for nonsense. THE SYSTEM IS CORRUPT. WHAT MAKES YOU THINK THAT VOTING IN A CORRUPT SYSTEM WILL FIX ITSELF OR ANYTHING ELSE?

Quote: “The argument that the two parties should represent opposed ideals and policies, one, perhaps of the Right, and the other of the Left, is a foolish idea acceptable only to doctrinaire and academic thinkers. Instead, the two parties should be almost identical so that the American people can ‘throw the rascals out’ at any election without leading to any profound or extensive shifts in policy.”

Quote: “Since I entered politics, I have chiefly had men’s views confided to me privately. Some of the biggest men in the United States —in the fields of commerce and manufacturing—are afraid of somebody. They know that there is a power somewhere so organized, so subtle, so watchful, so interlocked, so complete, so pervasive, that they had better not speak above their breath when they speak in condemnation of it.” – President Woodrow Wilson

    • Joe H.

      Lem,
to my way of thought, that would be the most sure way to lose the RIGHT to vote, completely!! rights are like muscles in that they MUST be exercised or they atrophy!!!

  • JeffH

Bob Livingston, thank you and your’s is a message that must be repeated time and time again. I’d like to add that it is great to see the current POTUS openly and clearly identified for what he is, a true Marxist.

  • Monte

You won’t get this information on TV or in public schools. Thanks Bob for bringing it to people’s attention. Woodrow Wilson is on my list of the top five most destructive people in our history. Obviously, the example of Nicholas Biddle taught him nothing. And we have been paying for it ever since. Go Ron Paul!

Some quotes about the Federal Reserve that I have collected.

“I am a most unhappy man. I have unwittingly ruined my country [by signing the Federal Reserve Act of 1913]. A great industrial nation is controlled by its system of credit. Our system of credit is concentrated. The growth of the nation, therefore, and all our activities are in the hands of a few men. We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated governments in the civilized world. No longer a government by free opinion, no longer a government by conviction and the vote of the majority, but a government by the opinion and duress of a small group of dominant men.”
      - Woodrow Wilson

  • Mike Lowenstein

I agree with Ron Paul on everything he says about the economy. However, he is totally wrong on foreign affairs. While it is nice to say that there is no reason why Iran should not have nuclear weapons, the fact is that Iran is the only country that has made it policy to destroy another State. They are not restrained by any moral feelings of right or wrong. Only by hate for another people. It will do no good for the US to solve our economic problems if the world is being destroyed in a nuclear war. So while Ron Paul is intelligent and sees the solution to our economic problems, he would be a terrible president when it comes to foreign policy. How bout a candidate who understands the world and Ron Paul as Secretary of the Treasury. There’s something I could vote for.

    • http://www.boblivingstonletter.com/ Bob Livingston

      Dear Mike Lowenstein,

You are correct. Iran is the only country that has made it a policy to destroy another State. Like when they attacked Iraq… oh wait, that was the U.S. And when they attacked Libya… oh wait, that was the U.S. too. What about when they attacked Yemen? Oh wait, that was the U.S. What about Pakistan? Oh wait, that was the U.S. too. What about that attack in Congo, Sudan, CAR and Uganda? Oh wait. Darn. There goes that theory.

      Best wishes,
      Bob

P.S. All made possible by the Federal Reserve.

        Well said! :)

And soon, Iran will be added to the list, courtesy of the banksters!

      • 45caliber

        Bob:

THere is a slight difference between what he said and what you said. We didn’t set out to destroy another country – just change the government. Iran wants to destroy Israel in that it wants to kill every person there. You should consider the difference.

      • Jay

Israel is more then capable of defending itself 45!

      • http://www.boblivingstonletter.com/ Bob Livingston

        Dear 45caliber,

You write: “We didn’t set out to destroy another country – just change the government.” Yet in changing government the country was destroyed and many people (including innocents) perished as a result.

But you are correct, there is a big difference. Iran has only threatened its neighbors whereas the U.S. chooses to first threaten, then sanction (which hurts the citizenry), then attack and destroy the country in order to take out a government that “we” don’t like (the wishes of the people of those countries notwithstanding) and install a regime that we think will bow to our wishes. Iran has neither invaded nor attacked anyone since the late 1800s. How many countries has the U.S. invaded or attacked in that time?

You continue to suffer from Cognitive Dissonance: http://www.personalliberty.com/conservative-politics/cognitive-dissonance/

        Best wishes,
        Bob

    • JeffH

Mike, “How bout a candidate who understands the world”?

Think long and hard about that…as in “One World”? Utopian thoughts at best. Pay a little more attention to Mr. Livingston and less attention to the MSM.

What is the last thing used to fix central banking system failure:

    WAR

The New World Order factions want to reduce world populations by some 90 percent, they own the central banks, and WAR accomplishes both.

Keep your eyes on the middle east, esp IRAN, all the prophets say so.

Although Ron Paul is correct in his assessment of the Federal Reserve, he is not electable, end of story. His mistake is his off the charts statements regarding foreign policy. While I agree with some of his thoughts regarding our foreign entanglements, I think it is somewhat idiotic to think that we can ever tolerate a nuclear Iran. Newt Gingrich is the most intelligent of all of the candidates for the Republican nomination for President. None of the other candidates can hold a candle to his intellect and his ability to articulate those ideas into spoken words. When Paul fails to get the Republican nomination, what will you do?

    • JC

Gee, I guess we should just vote for the lesser of two evils…again!
That seems to be working pretty well, right?

    • don

you state: “While I agree with some of his thoughts regarding our foreign entanglements, I think it is somewhat idiotic to think that we can ever tolerate a nuclear Iran.”

Please explain why not? Keep in mind that we have a nuclear Russia, India, China, etcccc……….and most of the countries surrounding IRAN have nuclear arms, so please tell us why IRAN would be so detrimental to the U.S. if it had one. Who is the U.S. to decide who can and who cannot have nuclear capabilities, anyway? We may not like the idea of Iran having a nuke, but RP is correct in stating that the U.S. should stop getting involved. Israel can take care of IRAN without a problem, and they may do so. It is time the U.S. took care of business at home, while it still can. It may be too late very soon.

So, explain to me why it is the U.S. business to “take care of Iran”. You think they will send a nuke to the U.S.? Really? You think IRAN is suicidal? If so, then perhaps the “idiotic” statement is yours, and not Ron Pauls.

      • Capitalist at Birth

Think Israel. Were you aware that Iran is selling the technology for medium range missiles to Chavez that could reach the U.S.? They are also setting up Hezbollah type training camps with him as well. If you think that it is okay for every nation state in the world to have nuclear weapons, Cuba for example, your thoughts and ideas are as idiotic as Ron Paul’s.

      • Capitalist at Birth

You did not answer my question, as to what you would do when Paul does not receive the Republican nomination. Where is your answer.

    • Angel Wannabe

Capitalist at Birth, I agree about some of Paul’s Foreign Policies. I friggin’ hate the fact that the US is the policemen for the world. I hate perpetual war, but should we or can we sit here, and stare Iran in the face, knowing that Ahmadinejad is close to having a nuke or more realistically already has one?

      • Capitalist at Birth

Unfortunately, it is the nature of the beast. I don’t think we need our forces spread out all over the world, as they currently are. I would reduce the number and places except for air bases. We can use the drones. They are expensive, but probably more economical than ground forces, to kill and destroy our enemies and the enemies of free markets. If we do not insure the free travel on the high seas or the air the whole world could slide into a world wide depression. That is the only reason to exert our strength around the globe.

    • JeffH

Capitalist, I guess you feel that if you keep repeating your anti-Paul message it will become fact. You may not like him nor his policies but I’ll take a great constitutionalist like Ron Paul over he BIG GOVERNMENT intellect any day of the week. I’ll not become a fool or be fooled by Gingrich or his political intellect. In the end, he’s still a BIG GOVERNMENT politician.

In Jusne of 2011 Newt began calling for an audit of the Fedral Reserve. During an August 2011 debate, Speaker Gingrich stated that while the Fed should be controlled, he did not support ending the Fed. He stated that having some kind of central bank is an important part of how you deal with monetary policy in the modern world, but having Chairman Bernanke deal with hundreds of billions of dollars, some estimates as much as $16 trillion in secret is profoundly against a free society.

You see, Newt Gingrich isn’t about changing the status quo despite what you may believe. He wants to audit the Fed but he completely believes in the central banking system and the Federal Reserve.

He isn’t about a free society, he’s more interested in controlling a free society through a central banking system.

Wake up and smell the coffe.

      • Capitalist at Birth

You did not answer my question as to what you would do when Paul does not receive the nomination, nor run as third party candidate, which he said yesterday he would not do. Where is your answer?

      • JeffH

I will write Paul’s name in and cast my vote for him. It’s really that simple! Why should I waste my vote on a Big Governement candidate that has no intention of following the constitution, will continue to prop up the crony-capitalists, the Fed and the central banks, continue to keep us at war not only abroad but against the people and the very principles this country was founded upon.

I have no desire to become a submissive to socialism, communism, progressivism or Marxism. My loyalties lie with the Constitution of the United States of America, one nation under God, indivisable with liberty and justice for all.

      • JeffH

Capatalist, my question to you is…will you submit yourself to serfdom or will you support the Constitution and the only candidate that has a long history of the same? No doubletalk just a straight yes or no!

    • http://none RPaul or same ol’

If Ron does not get the Repub nomination, I’ll vote for him on the Libertarian ticket. Jesse Ventura says if Ron would have him as running mate that he would be Ron’s best life insurance policy because they damn sure don’t want him as President. Bob, GREAT ARTICLE!!! How can we get more eyeballs to friggin’ read it?

So? She just did what Dave H and a few others of us have been saying when we speak of letting capitalism work. SHE CHANGED BANKS!! The bank in question when faced with losing customers, dropped the fees!! See, it works!!!

  • Sharon

We need candidate to challenge BO’s elgibility to run in 2012…Paul should be Sec. of Treasury or Fed.Reserve Chairman,..But not Romney b-cuz of Romneycare, not P erry b-cuz of illegal immigration, not Bachmann b-cuz she needs to be Speaker of House, check out Laurie Roth. for President. We need to get frauds & crooks out of our Government!!

  • CP

I only have one comment for Iris and her like. If you are so sure these “Occupiers” ARE rapists and thieves and murderers, call the local police department and tell them what you know. Please take a good look at your neighbor before you accuse him of being what you so apparently hate. For others in here, no, I am NOT a right whing nut, as some would have me, nor am I a liberal lay down in the street to stop the tanks type either. I hear some good ideas on here, then they are over ridden by those who want only what fits for the extremes of their preferences.

    • Joe H.

      CP,
What do you call a person that defecates in open public? what do you call a couple that deal drugs from a temt while their two year old is IN said tent? what do YOU call a person that exposes themself to the public including children? What do YOU call people that accost passers-by that do nothing except to try and ignore them? Urinating in the streets, defecating on a police car, making a public park unuseable by the taxpayers. Just WHAT THE HELL DO YOUCALL IT??? All this has been documented on film or by arrests for said CRIMES!

And for those PLD readers unfamiliar with “V for Vendetta”, here is the opening monologue:

V: Good evening, London. Allow me first to apologize for this interruption. I do, like many of you, appreciate the comforts of every day routine- the security of the familiar, the tranquility of repetition. I enjoy them as much as any bloke. But in the spirit of commemoration, thereby those important events of the past usually associated with someone’s death or the end of some awful bloody struggle, a celebration of a nice holiday, I thought we could mark this November the 5th, a day that is sadly no longer remembered, by taking some time out of our daily lives to sit down and have a little chat. There are of course those who do not want us to speak. I suspect even now, orders are being shouted into telephones, and men with guns will soon be on their way. Why? Because while the truncheon may be used in lieu of conversation, words will always retain their power. Words offer the means to meaning, and for those who will listen, the enunciation of truth. And the truth is, there is something terribly wrong with this country, isn’t there? Cruelty and injustice, intolerance and oppression. And where once you had the freedom to object, to think and speak as you saw fit, you now have censors and systems of surveillance coercing your conformity and soliciting your submission. How did this happen? Who’s to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you’re looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror. I know why you did it. I know you were afraid. Who wouldn’t be? War, terror, disease. There were a myriad of problems which conspired to corrupt your reason and rob you of your common sense. Fear got the best of you, and in your panic you turned to the now high chancellor, Adam Sutler. He promised you order, he promised you peace, and all he demanded in return was your silent, obedient consent. Last night I sought to end that silence. Last night I destroyed the Old Bailey, to remind this country of what it has forgotten. More than four hundred years ago a great citizen wished to embed the fifth of November forever in our memory. His hope was to remind the world that fairness, justice, and freedom are more than words, they are perspectives. So if you’ve seen nothing, if the crimes of this government remain unknown to you then I would suggest you allow the fifth of November to pass unmarked. But if you see what I see, if you feel as I feel, and if you would seek as I seek, then I ask you to stand beside me one year from tonight, outside the gates of Parliament, and together we shall give them a fifth of November that shall never, ever be forgot.

Ron Paul understands the destruction of our American society by the Federal Reserve. Paul is fully aware of the existence of the Bilderberg Group, their control of the world, and the disappearance of all the gold from Ft. Knox. The elites fear him, including both Dems and Repubs. They will not select him, continuing to have the media call him “crazy”, though he has been winning in the straw polls.

The younger generation, through the internet, are learning of how the elites like Soros, Kissinger, Bernanke etc. are weaving their control over our finance, war, unions, anything to create crisis throughout this world. Their next plan is war against Iran so they can continue to increase their wealth by selling their war arms and get control of Iran’s oil, just like they got Iraq’s oil. Afghanistan for the drugs and rich mineral sources.

  • Joan

This is one of the best explanations of why the Federal Reserve needs to go! Only Ron Paul gets it! The rest of the group are more of the same and will lead us down the road to total destruction! RON PAUL 2012!!

  • Dagger

Ron Paul will never be elected president, the powers that be will make sure that he is not elected!

A divine act is not impossible but why should He? Ultimately it is The Lord that raises up Kings and can remove them any time He pleases. If we were a righteous nation He would raise up a righteous President

    • Jeryl

True, Henry. This is no longer a righteous nation. Our nation has officially asked God to “take a hike.” I can’t help but believe that the end is nearer than thought.

      • JUKEBOX

With the latest revelations from Penn State, it is clear that our country is going in the direction of Sodom & Gomorrah.

Jukebox__ yeah that just makes me sick to my stomach!_ I look at our Grandson and wonder, why in the name of God would anyone find a child sexually attractive.__ No trial for these b*stards, if found guilty, stringem’ up!

      • Joe H.

        Angel Wannabe,
I would consider it an honor to slap the horse on the rump!!! Let ‘im swing! I can say without ANY hesitation tha if it was my kid they wouldn’t need a trial!!

When ‘words’ do not get through to demonstrate the issue, only reality will get through. In other words, nothing will change for the better until it changes dramatically for the worse. I do not see any chance of Ron Paul becoming president. I do not see any dramatic shift that will change the course we are on. The Occupiers are an example of what the world is in for…tents in the street and chaos, drugs, rapes, murders…all the ‘fun’ things these young people have watched on TV. Nothing will get through until the food runs out…IT WILL.

    • http://google Marvin McCardle

So Iris, all the occupiers are now rapists, druggies and other ill witted people. When I first started reading this article and the responses, I was impressed with the knowledge of what people had to say. Then as usual, the right wing crap is brought in. I am sick of reading nothing about the articles and only what the tea partiers think of the dems or Obama. This article made it clear, it does not matter who is in office. The real people are those associated with the federal reserve. We were sold out many years ago and it is time for the good people of the world to get rid of the scum who are the real threat to society. The federal reserve has to go and the scum who want to control our every move, the greedy bankers and the filthy rich of this world who through inflation have stolen all of what our forefathers left us.

      • Angel Wannabe

Well Marvin, quite frankly_ if your tired of all the right wing crap, your more than welcome to take a flying leap over to left wing huff-po, as you happen to be on a Conservative Site and it is what BobL and the rest of us serve__DOH_lol!

      • JeffH

Marvin McCardle, you’re not to bright are you. On one hand your little scolding of Iris over her perception of the OWS crowd is no different than your identifying the posters that critisize the Dems and Obama as the “tea party”.

        H-Y-P-O-C-R-I-T ‘Nuff said!

      • Joe H.

        marvin,
no, not 100% of ANY croud is what the majority of it is. There is a great many in OWS( which BTW stands for Our Weak Senses) that are scuzz buckets!! I’m sure there are a few there that don’t even realize WHAT it wants to accomplish. Hell, That would almost take in the ENTIRETY of them as they really don’t stand for ANYTHING worth while!!

  • Terry

It will have to get worse befor it gets better, most of the finist American patriots are gone or about gone those that lived befor us and believed in American Principals.Im not sure where this Democracy thing started, which is nothing but majoriy rule, Disreguarding you fundimental rights. We are suposed to be a republic under the constitution. Communism should be Outlawed in America As it is so destructive and alian to our way of life.

    • DaveH

Communism wouldn’t be a threat, Terry, if we stuck to the form of Republic that our wise founders designed for us. Sure, some states might have adopted it, but then their economies would have quickly declined and the surrounding states would have learned from the Communist States’ experience. We can jawbone all day long, but in the end Experience is the Best Teacher.
The problem came when the people first allowed the Federal Government to usurp its Constitutional constraints in the mid-1800s, and then was greatly accelerated under the Wilson Administration 100 years ago.
We need to get our Constitutional State Sovereignty back and shrink the Federal Government dramatically. Of the Republican Candidates, there are only two who want that and one of them has been effectively silenced (Gary Johnson).

I’ve been in this fight for years. I won’t quit, but I am tired. So much is at stake, that I have to push these thoughts to the back of my mind several times a day.

When all is said and done, we’re just passing through. If I didn’t believe that, I couldn’t go on living. If you fight long enough, and hard enough, with little to show for it “at the end of the day,” your thoughts shift towards eschatology. At least, that’s my experience.

I recall something I heard as a young man from a girlfriend – “people get the kind of government they deserve.” If they won’t listen, won’t educate themselves, or even care, let them suffer the consequences. I hate to be a cynic, but what other choice is there? If I didn’t allow some of it, I’d go nuts. R.U.

    • Jeryl

Rod, you’re right. These things must come to pass, and pass they will. But there’s going to be a lot of pain before it comes to an end. Too few people have awakened to make a difference. The “ten righteous” cannot be found. But, we have to continue to fight against the darkness until we step into the light.

  • AJ

“They could pull a JFK on him?” WTF they certainly would without hesitation.

  • mickey

I agree. Things are to a point that obama is more visible. OTOH, too many are on drugs of one kind or another (legal and illegal) to want to give them up. I hardly know anyone that isn’t on something, sad, but try to tell an older person they may have to go without their “life saving” drug.

We all worked when younger, now we have these California kids that do nothing “all rights and no responsibilities”.

The zero tolerance in school is about to send a kid to jail for hugging a fellow student. Real threat there. Another faces 8 yrs for a prank.

I listened to a commentary from the author of “Confessions of an Economic Hitman”. The interference the US had in other country’s borrowing to fix infrastructure projects where our corps received the money and the country incurred the bills they could not repay. Sound familiar? “Shovel ready jobs”?

If economics didn’t work then we used assassination. Ghadaffi wanted to change his monetary system away from the IMF, create his own, and not exchange oil in terms of the US $1.

Good article. Too bad that only a few us even attempt to understand.
All to many will never read it. Their attention span is too short.

  • http://www.gillysrooms.blogspot.com Gilly

Good article, but the those who truly understand the effects of inflation should know of the number of ways to not only protect themselves from inflation, but also benefit from it before we start to get deflation. Deflation might be hitting the European countries sooner than they think as the banks start to de-leverage their rations of loans to reserves. Who is going to be mad enough to lend any real money to the Greeks as they winge and try to squirm out of their liabilities by changing Prime Minister…reshuffling the chairs on the titanic all it is. Nations like the Greeks cannot, MUST NOT get away with a default without any serious financial pain, otherwise every borrower in Europe and the USA will decide to live it up now because they also will be able to get away with it in the future. BAD MOVE BOYS. The Greeks must pay and the world should not let the politicians get away by stalling while the voters are made to think there will be a magical solution to their financial lazyiness.

    • DaveH

Oh sure, and bailing out the Greeks with other peoples’ money is going to work better? Throwing good money after bad is never the solution.
The smartest thing anybody could do is to let the Greeks default and pay the price for their profligate ways.

      • Joe H.

        DaveH,
It’s kinda like having a brother with a bad gambling habit. Instead of getting him help(changing the spending habits of your government) you just keep bailing him out. sooner or later you BOTH go under!!!

  • Free Mind

So why don’t we pull a JFK on them? It really is past time for talk, comments and rigged elections.
You know the Founding Fathers would be acting by now.

  • Angel Wannabe

Bob, Good Article!__Those of us who believe we’ve been railroaded by the Fed have spread the news far and wide to those who would listen. But it’s “still” like leading a horse to water, you just can’t make them drink! You can’t teach people experience either. Each generation has tried to educate the other through families, but if they’re not listening, or taking heed, its futile.
The internet has reached a few more than mere gossip can do, but its still in the hands of the reader, as to whether or not they beleive, that the elites have made slaves out of us and continue to do so.
As to Ron Paul, I have to agree that Ron Pauls record stands alone on Constitutionality. But the Lame Stream Media are not going to give him a pass. Quite frankly its going to take a Divine intervention to get him in the office of President. He is not the elite pick and they fear him. My concern is if Paul does happen to win the nomination, that TPTB would pull a JFK on him. Anyone that’s challenged them we’re done away with in one way or another.

    • Al Sieber

I agree on that, they could pull a JFK on him.

      • Joe H.

        Al & Angel,
that is my biggest concern with Paul as he has said all along he wants to first audit, then do away with the FED!! to this day, I believe that is what killed JFK!

      • Jeryl

It was a good article, Angel, but the freedom of the internet may soon be a thing of the past. Obama has plans to turn over control of the internet to the United Nations. Right now, it is basically housed in the USA, but if the UN gains control, they could then start ferreting out opposition to the one world government. Sound far-fetched, it isn’t.

      • Angel Wannabe

Jeryl, all of which I’m well aware.

    • DaveH

In the case of Ron Paul, they would make a martyr out of him if they did kill him because everybody knows that Ron Paul stands against the Establishment Elite and for Constitutional Freedom, unlike “Ask not what your country can do for you – ask what you can do for your country” JFK.
I saw through that line of bull when I was 13 years old. Even then I knew that Freedom meant LESS GOVERNMENT, NOT MORE.

  • s c

Don’t take it personally, Bob. Central bankers do what they do to a) get and keep power b) ‘spread the wealth’ to their American and foreign friends c) buy politicians and d) dumb-down average Americans via an inferior education system. Most Americans won’t admit that we have serious problems until there’s blood and destruction in the streets.
Your article gives people the basics of what they need to know. I think we should concentrate on telling Americans what has been done to their kids and future generations. Without trying to be an utter pessimist, I see another civil war in our future.
Other readers may see other possibilities. I hope
I’m wrong, but central bankers and other subhuman vermin have had too many advantages for too long to see that leverage disappear in a few months or years. The #1 problem remains how to get Americans to understand and admit the truth before it’s too late.

    • Al Sieber

      That’s putting it mildly.

    • JC

“The powers of financial capitalism had (a) far-reaching aim, nothing less than to create a world system of financial control in private hands able to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world as a whole. This system was to be controlled in a feudalist fashion by the central banks of the world acting in concert, by secret agreements arrived at in frequent meetings and conferences. The apex of the systems was to be the Bank for International Settlements in Basel, Switzerland; a private bank owned and controlled by the world’s central banks which were themselves private corporations. Each central bank… sought to dominate its government by its ability to control Treasury loans, to manipulate foreign exchanges, to influence the level of economic activity in the country, and to influence cooperative politicians by subsequent economic rewards in the business world.” ~ Professor Carrol Quigley, CFR Member

      • Jeryl

So true, JC. However, I believe that the majority of the people will not ever be willing to acknowledge the truth of what you say. A revolution is coming, but it will eventually only take us deeper into a world federalist government. We should stand up and be counted, but in the end the one-world government will come.

      • JC

Of course they’ll come. They have every intention of enslaving and culling our numbers. What will your (our) reaction be to that?

      • Jeryl

Oh, I certainly plan to take a stand for the Republic, but I just don’t believe the majority of Americans will do so. Most of them have their heads so far into the sand that they have no idea what’s going on and don’t want to know.

      • JC

There’s a lot more of us than you think Jeryl…
Educate people every chance you get though.

      • James

I agree with Jeryl. When the Founders reacted to British imperialism and declared our independence, most colonists thought they were crazy. Most commenters on this website don’t like what is happening to our country, and advocate doing something about it, but we are a small minority. Most Americans agree with what the federal government is doing, or is attempting to do, and if our group revolts, they will be against us. They will think and do as the major media guides them.

      • JC

Well James, I guess your beat before you start.
Everybody will react when UN troops start dragging them out of their homes. So try and keep your eye on the ball and educate people.
Either your in for the long run or you aren’t…

      • Angel Wannabe

Jc, James and Jeryl, Frankly when the Founders Declared our Independemce, They didn’t have drones to deal with, Satellite Intelligence & Imagery, and every kind of weapondry they’re is protecting the TPTB. What is it exactly are we supposed to do to stop this?

      • JC

Angel, first of all, we need to count on the idea that fellow Americans would not unleash that on us. Secondly, do you want to live in a world under a New World Order of slavery? They seem intent on killing many of us off anyway…so we’re back to square one…
        Liberty or Death.

      • Angel Wannabe

Jc, Well honestly I’m on your side, but I didn’t hear an answer to my question?__Sadly JC, we’re not the America we used to be, there is some folks with true american spirit among the boomer era, but it was more our parents and grandparents generation, that had kahunas.
The America we remember, is still in the hearts of those who’ve lived it, and know what it’s to really be free and prosper, but, short of divined intervention and/or someone HONESTLY taking over the voting process, we’re f-ed!__I’m not a defeatist, quite the contrary, that’s just facts for me!

      • metalflyer11

I am with you 100% JC. We have to educate the masses. Even though I understand the sentiment of some here but I believe that We The People have the power in numbers. The elite know this and they are terrified of the awakening. This is why they seem to be rushing things now.

The only thing that bothers me is what will they do if we ever have them cornered & exposed with no way out. Most of these elite are so greedy & irrational that they will be capable to create a caos with nukes, HAARP, weaponozed viruses, GMO contamination, etc.. in the US or around the world to make sure that if they can not win then nobody does. This is why reaching out to the Police & Military is so important and I know many are awake.

        NO FEAR… LIBERTY or DEATH….

      • James Andrews

We can NEVER allow a one-world governmnent to exist, ever! We must fight them at al costs, including blood if necessary. This would without a doubt be the downfall of mankind.

      • bob wire

Hmm? well one world government is going to happen at some point in human history.

You speak of “downfalls” ~ well? sure! there will be many!

There will be things that fall and things that rise up. You surly don’t expect the world to stay the same for your convenience do you? Considering you would be twice dead a 100 years, I falling to see your overriding concerns as being relevant.

Where is the faith in your god, your children, your principles that you pass forward? Where a little Christian Faith when you need it?

And Mr. Livingston, it would perhaps be a grand thing if everyone understood such matter as banking and money matters for the purpose of voting. But allow us to be realistic, that’s not going to happen.

Many for us place trust in others about things that we simply don’t know and understand.

So here again, we are getting back to faith and trust issues.

I don’t understand banking and finical matters well but I can build you a nice house. You can trust me for that as I must trust my attorney, bookkeeper or doctor.

When we need a rabbit pulled out of a hat, let us look for a musician as a carpenter will poorly serve.

You would want me to fret over matters I have little or no control. A human life time is brief, I will not fret over such matters. I’ll let you do it for me as you seem to enjoy the job. If I can help with something other then just fretting and wringing my hands , let me know.

      • Joe H.

        bob wire,
you demonstrate why your type of thinking is whackked! you look to pull a rabbitt out of a hat by calling a musician while you SHOULD be calling a MAGICIAN!! A MUSICIAN won’t help you much, and as such is your way of thinking, I wouldn’t call you to build me a house, either!!

If people realized how many billions of dollars of our taxpayer money are pumped into the International Monetary Fund with virtually no repayment, their eyes should be opened, but there are too many people who don’t care, as long as they can use their plastic card. People like George Soros and George Kaiser are the ones who are stealing the American Treasury blind with the help of Obama, Geithner, Corzine and their minions.

      • JC

“It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning.” ~ Henry Ford

      • skip

I hope the country wakes up in time – we are absolutely enslaved by big banking, Wall Street, the selfish portion of the hyperwealthy (not the Bloombergs, Gates, Buffetts, etc. who are philanthropy oriented), big oil, and those who purposefully and greedily move our manufacturing base off shore e.g. Whirlpool, big electronics, etc. But the country is unaware, undereducated, has no idea that we are in 2011, not 1946, and we are firing teachers right and left, and it might well take two generations to catch up with the rest of the world that has eclipsed us. The lessons of history, of political systems, of geography simply are not taught to the overwhelming majority of Americans. The so -called “best and brightest’” go onto Wall Street to work over the rest of us in spades, creating these weird financial products which provide nothing for the rest of us, empower and make wealthy those who create them, which not even they understand, and which ruined our country, eliminated any semblance of morality, and which will destroy the future for our children and grandchildren. This is neither capitalism, nor free markets, nor democracy – it is pure and simple thievery and and economic and political thuggery. Elections are a farce – they are purchased one way or another, and even the Supreme Court has been purchased lock, stock, and barrel. The first priority of our elected officials, with rare exception, is to get re-elected, and with a 2 year cycle for the House of Representatives, there is no hope for anything resembling a long term vision or plan. We 99%ers are goners unless we really lean into the wind and demand accountability to us voters, not to the wealthy entrenched interests.

      • s c

skip, WHERE did you get the idea that teachers are being fired right and left? That sounds like something The Anointed One would say. The ONLY way a lot of teachers would be fired for any reason would be a move by The Anointed Reject to try and replace them with UNION teachers.
Taking kids OUT of public schools is the #1 best way to make it obvious that union teachers are worthless. Homeschool, church school or private school. Everything else is CRAP.

      • alex

since the main thing being taught in public schools is comunisum we would be better off if all public school teachers were fired

    • Jeryl

You have some very good thoughts, S C, but I don’t believe the majority of Americans will wake up at all, until it’s too late. Most people just can’t believe that anyone, especially the leaders which they elected, could be so insidious – so evil. They will continue to hide their heads in the sand until it’s too late. Then, they’ll make up another excuse why they couldn’t/shouldn’t act. The progressives have turned the last two generations of public school students into sheep.

      • http://radiodynamo.com/ Haggard

It happened long before the last two decades or generations. It has been going on for a hundred years.

The reality of it is, we cannot vote them out and if we do the new crew is just bought and paid for again.

I doubt there is a view of this blog that is not a Social Security customer and has been all of their lives. Each and everyone is a follower of the public foo system in that we all do just what we are told without question as if someone had some kind of authority over us. I would ask where did they get and when, if it is so. I contend it does not and never has existed. IF this is so, then why does everyone continue to act as if there is? Because we are all sheeple. Where is the black sheep moving away from the cliff the rest are rushing to fall over?

I don’t have the answer, but I am sure it will show up when it is need the mostest.

    • Tazio2013

It is indeed too late and I offer the following for your consideration:

In my considered opinion, the only socio-politico-econo-financial message worth paying attention to is the libertarian message with Ron Paul being the current spokesperson and poster boy. Both poles of the Republikrat Hegelian Dialectic; i.e., left leaning loonies vs white wing wackos, are nothing more than Republikrat Kabuki Theater infotainments for the sheeple/masses/hoi poloi, call them what you may. IMCO, once the silliness/foolishness of Cain and Parry is removed from the SPEF scene, the election will be between BHO and Willard “Mittens” Romney and, once again, a Republikrat will win and the US SPEF system will continue to circle the drain because that’s the way The Powers That Be want it to be. The white wing wackos and blow-dried white guys spinning the standard neocon Republican line denies the simple fact that it is a very small group – estimated to be fewer than 1/10,000 of 1% – that has controlled and manipulated the US SPEF system since 1913. If you haven’t yet seen “V for Vendetta”, I suggest you do so.

      Sapere Aude!

      Semper fi!

      • Bob M

        And that is a major reason why people don’t vote. The candidates have already been picked, it’s a choice between two sides of the same coin. Every election cycle I look at my choices and ask;
IS THIS THE BEST WE CAN DO?
Rather than passivly debating the poor choices we are presented with; Obama vs Romney, who will do the least damage, we need to find a way to advance a candidate who will represent the people.

      • Iva Raggon

        Ron Paul – real integrity

I was noticing that last night. ~ Some of the better minds in international politics are offing him support while simpler minds scoff.

I hope that he manage to get the message out soon enough that it might serve him well.

      • Steve T.

AGREED Ron Paul is the man.

But whether or not he is elected is not the issue, the point is “remember his message, act on it, remind who ever gets in that ‘we the people’ want what he RON wants” It amuses me how many people vote for a man(woman) with an idea, that person happens to NOT get voted in and the idea is lost.

How about a little disconnect. The election is coming to serve one purpose, that is,
it’s to point out ALL that’s wrong and come up with solutions to ALL the problems.
Its up to us to listen, and remember.

HOW do you do that? Well, listen to all sides, not to criticize, but to learn.

Learn the problems, learn the solutions, learn the consequences, then “REMEMBER ”

Remember what you have learned and who ever wins, make sure they know what you know.

Two things from Angel wannabe’s suggested link

“The Key..Wake Yourself Up Fully And Everyone Around You!”

and “Conscious Truth Cannot Be Stopped!”

And contrary to your post citing the “V” manifest, the day should read NOV 6 2012. Yes “together, voting each their own conscience ” but with the collective will for change……

Also re…. “very small group – estimated to be fewer than 1/10,000 of 1%”
If its SO small, and they don’t seem to be a help, maybe its time to ask them to leave,
along with corporations that would rather exploit third world labor, (bring the jobs home, not
just some of them, all of them, and if a corporation wants to make huge profits overseas, tax them
110% when they come home….. silly i know but it was worth a shot.)

And oh yea, contrary to some ways of thinking that our problems are not about CLASS, in fact
this may in fact be the only issue…. the widening gap.

NOTICE USA in all of his examples is “batting 100″ in the “worst” area, and if you follow his line of reasoning, not because “WE’RE THE RICHEST NATION IN THE WORLD” but because we have allowed the gap between the wealthiest and the poorest in this country to become way the hell too big….

You may be interested in the following:

The Backfire Effect from “You Are Not So Smart: A Celebration of Self-Delusion” by David McRaney

The Misconception: When your beliefs are challenged with facts, you alter your opinions and incorporate the new information into your thinking.

The Truth: When your deepest convictions are challenged by contradictory evidence, your beliefs get stronger.

In 2006, Brendan Nyhan and Jason Reifler at The University of Michigan and Georgia State University created fake newspaper articles about polarizing political issues. The articles were written in a way which would confirm a widespread misconception about certain ideas in American politics. As soon as a person read a fake article, researchers then handed over a true article which corrected the first. For instance, one article suggested the United States found weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. The next said the U.S. never found them, which was the truth. Those opposed to the war or who had strong liberal leanings tended to disagree with the original article and accept the second. Those who supported the war and leaned more toward the conservative camp tended to agree with the first article and strongly disagree with the second. These reactions shouldn’t surprise you. What should give you pause though is how conservatives felt about the correction. After reading that there were no WMDs, they reported being even more certain than before there actually were WMDs and their original beliefs were correct.

The Gap is widening, Steve, because Big Government is sucking up our financial and natural resources. The Rich can deal with it by greasing the palms of their favorite Politicians. It’s not so easy for the middle class to deal with Government theft. We are going the way that countries always go as Government Grows — down the tubes. No egalitarian scheme is going to change that. It would only make it worse. Socialism always fails whether it stems from a military state or a welfare state.
The best that we can do is get Government out of our Marketplaces, so that people can trade with who they want, work for who they want, start the businesses they want or whatever other things that people do voluntarily. Government should only be involved to protect people from force or fraud.
One of the most prosperous times in recent history came in the 1950s when Government spent only 23% of our GDP, compared to the 40% they now spend. Big Government is the Problem, Not the Solution.

Hey Tazio, why don’t you describe the profile of a “white wing wacko” for those of us not in the know? I understand what left leaning loonies are, and for that matter I even recognize paranoid isolationist Neanderthals. But I am not real sure about WWWs. Help me out here.

It’s my attempt to inject a bit of levity into the current Republikrat Hegelian Dialectic so, substitute “right” for “white” and, with the vast majority on the “right” being “white”, it made LLL vs WWW catchy, fair and balanced.

        Taz,
I suggest you do some research into the ratio of blacks vs whites in the right wing. There are a lot more than you think!

“Ron Paul will never be elected president, the powers that be will make sure that he is not elected!” – Dagger

You might be right. If so, we will go into irreversible decline, perhaps under Obama, or Romney – there’s very little difference between the two, other than style and packaging.

Yeah, the majority will sleepwalk, unaware that they’ve been repeatedly warned. People hear what they want to hear, and believe what they want to believe. That is why Oprah Winfrey and Jerry Springer “made it.” The worst human vice is the desire to get something for nothing, and our particular American shortcoming is wanting to have things both ways. A commentary I recently read called that the “normalcy bias.” People had rather believe the feel good explanations than peel back the surface and expose the evil beneath.

I read the ‘normalcy bias’ thing too – GOOD article.

Talked about how the Jews in Germany had ben prospering there for years, and they NEVER thought anything would change. As warning signs began to surface, they ignored them – ‘We will be as we always have been…’

So it is in this nation; as one other poster here said — ‘Sheeple’ just cannot BELIEVE that those in the power seats could be so insidious, and unconcerned about the individual.
With the power elite, it’s ALL about GAINING WEALTH AT ANY COST.
Lives mean nothing. Some just cannot accept that there are people like that in this world, much less that THEY are IN CONTROL.

Thats why they have “dumbed down” Americans in our schools & Colleges, they got to us through our children,However I believe America is waking up,but it may be to late.It is true a lot of Americans don’t vote..what they don’t realize is that is thier voice.I am 79 and never missed a vote.I have watched the change taking place and I hope & pray that on 11/11/11 when they march to the capitol.there will be people with them as many as possible should go,I believe through our youth we MUST re-educate them to see what they have been taught is WRONG. American HIstory is a very precious part of America, when you think of the bravery of Americans to be FREE and how this country began UNDER GOD. I believe if we came up with the history of America and put it in “comic book form” they would read it and I would pass it out to all the youths and the very end I would tell them “THIS IS THE TRUTH OF AMERICA’S BEGINNING,HELD FROM YOU & LIED TO YOU BY THE ‘EVIL EMPIRE BANKER’S’ It may sound like a joke,However it may just work! But you got to get the Union Thugs in there also…as the “blood sucking” Army…Never know it might work to awake the “sleeperss” up.

The UNION PERVERT teachers involved fourth graders in their demonstration at the State Capitol in Wisconsin the other day, and I consider that as the most outrageous form of “BRAINWASHING” our easily misled young people. This is the same type of orientation that the Muslims use in many countries to insure their POWER BASE. This is where the “TERRORISTS” come from, and unfortunately our country is fast approaching the same situation, with the help of Soros, Obama, and the “PROGRESSIVE” power structure.
