Paul Will Eliminate $1 Trillion, Cut Presidential Salary By $360,664

GOP Presidential candidate Ron Paul in a recent email to supporters said that he has been given only 18 minutes, 47 seconds to speak during the past three debates; mainstream ignorance of the candidate may end with his Monday release of a budget plan announcing about $1 trillion in specific Federal budget cuts.

According to The Wall Street Journal, Paul’s plan calls for the massive cuts to be made during his first year in office along with the elimination of five cabinet-level  agencies and the lowering of corporate tax rates from 35 to 15 percent.

The candidate’s “Restore America” plan is focused on drastically reducing government reach to spur American business growth. This will be accomplished in part by repealing Obamacare, last year’s Wall Street regulations law and the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.

Paul also calls for a 10 percent reduction in the Federal workforce which may be achieved by eliminating the Departments of Education, Commerce, Energy, Interior and Housing and Urban Development.  He also calls for a 30 percent budget cut to the Environmental Protection Agency, a 40 percent cut to the Food and Drug Administration, slashed Pentagon funding for foreign wars and completely eliminating spending on foreign aid, according to POLITICO.

The Congressman from Texas also wants to see programs like Medicaid, the Children’s Health Insurance Program, food stamps, family support programs and the children’s nutrition program block-granted to the States and removed from mandatory Federal expenditures. In regard to Social Security, his campaign says that the plan “honors our promise to our seniors and veterans, while allowing young workers to opt out.”

In his plan, Paul also ensures voters that he is not going to make massive Federal budget cuts while living like a fat cat politician. He plans to reduce the Presidential salary from $400,000 yearly to $39,336 a year, which the plan says is “approximately equal to the median personal income of the American worker.”

      The electoral college has rarely voted against the will of the voters in their respective states. Faithless electors (those who vote against the will of the voters in a state) have not changed the outcome of any presidential election to date.
      If we did away with the electoral college and instead elected Presidents based on popular votes, then the states with the largest populations would run over the smaller states.

    The more I read about Ron Paul and his plans for our future, the more I like him. He has real common sense that most politians don’t have. He is too smart to pull a Ross Perot on us..not when our country is in the shape it is in now… The real question is will we still have a country that allows us to vote by then?

      Are you talking about the so-called “vote splitting”, Becky? I think Ron might very well attract more Democrats and Independents than he attracts mainstream Republicans, in which case the splitting problem would be more in favor of True Conservatives than the other way around.

    Ron Paul has not changed his platform for 35 years, less government lower taxes and no foreign aid to those that hate us. Bring the troupes home from countries that do not need our presence and kick the UN out of the USA. He is feared by most politicians because they know he will do the right thing regardless of the impact on the vote buying politico’s and they will then need to make their own way in this world and not be able to become career suck ups living on the backs of the tax paying public. I fear for his life because out political machine has become an evil entity that has no regard for the lives of anyone that gets in it’s way.

    how would you exspect ron paul to become president? this man has just stated so much common sense the average american person after so many years of not being able to find their behind with both hands will not be able to comprehend. a lot of america thinks the federal government is a person with pockets of money. the government has become a snake in tall grass and it’s our money. cut those hand out programs and massive government jobs and bring us back to sanity.

    IF we follow Mr. Paul’s ideas to their logical conclusion, Wall Street will own what of the country China doesn’t, and no working man will be able to afford to own anything but maybe the clothes on his back. Take a look at history before jumping on his bandwagon and riding it right into the middle ages, European style, not American. Then the King owned everything, and you had the use of it as long as he didn’t want it for something else, including your wife or daughter.

        Hmm? Personally, I did well in the 70′s and been going downhill since the mid 80′s with a small up spike in 95 at 1999.

        I’m slow to blame this on socialism but tend to see poor sending policy on the part of the Fed with gunboat diplomacy and along with Bank predatory lending practices and predatory local governments. It seems local government are inclined to think that it requires the best of everything from self flushing toilets to 500.00 dollar office chairs while citizens have to organize and solicit local government in masses to get a creek bed cleared.

      You are totally confused. With Free Markets anybody can succeed, depending entirely on how much effort you wish to expend. Free Market Capitalism is what enabled our country to become the economic powerhouse that it became. Crony Capitalism (the opposite of Free Markets) is what is destroying our economy.
      Thanks to Free Market Capitalism, ordinary folks have access to goods and services that the Kings and Queens of centuries ago could only dream about.
      Pick up a copy of Thomas DiLorenzo’s “How Capitalism Saved America” and get yourself some education.

      ADC, whether you’re a vet or not, you have not put any effort into learning what you want to know. Why put this on Paul’s shoulders? In the first place, he’s not in the W H. The current resident obviously doesn’t care about vets. They are to be used and abused.
      As for the VA, ask some questions. Read. Monitor the internet. I could tell you where some of the better VAs are, but I won’t do it (because you want easy, quick answers without digging). Taking the easy way out is how we got screwed with Chicago subhumans.
      There are good VAs, and there are not-so-good VAs. One of the best is in the heart of America. Check with some vets. VAs that should be avoided will come up in the conversation. By the way, ADC, what have YOU done to light a fire under the White House Nero who looks at vets the same way Bubba Clinton’s daughter looked at vets, active duty military and the Secret Service? Get going, ADC. Are you a conservative or a utopian?

    IF he can’t get his message out due to bias in the media he doesn’t stand a chance. I believe Dr Paul has some good ideas. However IF the powers that be say NO,then that’s it ! He is going to have to go beyond the CFR and kiss some serious Bilderberger ass to get approval. All politics is anymore is Billionare meat puppets vs Billionare meat Puppets. The electoral process has become nothing more then an illusion. This planet is going to be governed by the NWO no matter what we do. Prolong what we have for a while, but in the end it looks like evil will win.

    I will vote for Ron Paul. But, let it be known that I have not voted for the winner since Nixon. We absolutely need a smaller federal government. The worker needs to be able to keep most of his earnings in his pocket to be spent exactly the way he desires. We don’t need to be in countries that are haters of us. Ron will set the federal government on the path of fortune for the working class.

      Not only did I vote for him, I campaigned for him and the father-in-law an(Air Force major) received a presidential appointment for our families large efforts.

      But I was disappointed by his final results at his term end. Reagan’s administration, displaced and disenfranchised just too many working class American families. That he down sized the Fed and still spent more money then the Fed took in, was disappointing. That State, County and City, was left to raise their taxes, licensing and user fees and the “Average Working Private sector American” lost ground. Ground to this day we have failed to reclaim.

      The great American dream has became a reality of fewer and fewer American since the beloved President Ronald Reagan. The top 5 % would argue that claim no doubt, which is most understandable.

        Corporate tax cuts are “for the people”. Corporations don’t pay taxes, people do. Taxing Corporations is just an example of using Class Warfare so Politicians can extract more money from the people.
        Think about it. When a Corporation’s taxes go up, what do they do? They raise their product prices (we pay), or they lower their workers’ salaries (we pay), or they make their workers’ more productive by innovating with more capital machinery (less workers needed), or they lose money and go out of business (not good for anybody), or they move overseas to a more hospitable environment.
        One way or another, the whole of Society suffers except those in Power and their Politically Connected Cronies.

      I want to think that, I really do but I’ve been fooled before.

      It’s timely for Dr. Paul to offer this and not allow Cain to still the sunshine with 999 plan and all the attention it has created.

      Attempting to shut down government agencies will be met with great opposition by the people that’s income depend on them. Then too, there will these voids to fill. Who’s is going to rush in and fill them? Will they offer the American people a saving or the same thing at a higher rate? How many people will this displace and can we do well without them? Will the private sector rise to the occasion or sit on their hands like they have been?

      To date, RP is the only shinning star in the line up as far as I’m concerned and would enjoy seeing him go head to head with the incumbent and may the best man win.

        Bob-wire, your comment has hit the nail on the head. No matter how good any potential President’s plan is, nothing will be done unless Congress (House and Senate)is on board with the plan. Our corrupt career politicians (from BOTH parties)will resist Ron Paul’s limited government programs with everything they have.

        That is why it is critically important that we REPLACE every career politician who has served 2 or more terms of office. The replacements MUST believe in the Constitution as written and intended.

        As for government spending, the House of Representatives has 100% constitutional authority to decide what the federal government will fund. They do not need Senate approval or Presidential approval. They need only go through the budget and eliminate anything that doesn’t meet constitutional authority or responsibility. Of course, that won’t happen with all the career politicians under John Boehner’s leadership. Before changing the tax laws and even before altering social security, medicare and military/veteran’s payments, Congress must elimiate all of these extra-constitutional payments.

        I haven’t yet decided if I can support any of the Presidential candidates, although I am leaning towards Ron Paul. I know many of PLD readers are his supporters. So can any of you tell me why, if he is such a constitutionalist, he hasn’t done anything about Obama’s constitutional INeligibility to serve as President?

    What’s a Secure Retirement Program? Stock Market? Mutual Funds? 401K? Who backs that money to be secure? There is no secure program outside of Social Security. If they run the program right, don’t steal from it, it will be there. There truly can be No Guarantee on how much it will gain, but you should be able to get back what you put in; if they run the program effectively and logically. Okay, those are big IF’s, but it’s still the best program there is. Have you checked the stock market or savings interest rate lately? Don’t be fooled by all these political con-men.

You are not paying attention to it, you are just blindly ranting because I suspect you are close to retirement and you don’t want to see the reality that your government screwed you and if you let them, they will continue to screw you.         There is NO arbitrary termination under the Fleming v. Nestor decision. Nestor was deported as a Communist agent, and termination of his SS benefits was a specific part of the law.
        That same law defines a relation between monies paid into SS and benefits paid out. It’s not a contract, but it is black letter law, which is at least as good. How would you go about enforcing a contract against the Fed Government, who has legions of lawyers? The same way you go about pursuing any legal issue against a government agency. The contractual issue is a canard.

        SS benefits are paid out of SS receipts from FICA contributions. If they opt out, the system will be bankrupt. The only way to change the SS system is to phase it out gradually in favor of a government backed private investment scheme, over a decade or more.

        Actually, the SS Trust probably holds more than enough “IOU’s” to cover those who have paid into the system all their life.         KB, Soc Sec is not a contract. That’s true. However, the first mistake was for Americans to BELIEVE that Uncle Scam had any legal or moral right to FORCE them to accept Soc Sec. The ‘kicker’ is this, K. Congress, in its warped, unconstitutional approach to redistributing wealth to ‘aid’ the poor at the expense of everyone else, “rigged” Soc Sec. Congress reserved the “right” to alter, amend or repeal any provision of the Soc Sec Act.       Clint, don’t be fooled by all those political con-men who tell you Social Security is indispensable and will always be there for you. Don’t be fooled by all those political con-men who tell you that it is safe, but you will almost certainly lose your retirement money if you invest it yourself. The fact is, while my personal investment has declined 30% from what it was before Mr. Obama moved into the White House, the value of my Social Security tax contributions has completely disappeared. (100% loss).

      Where did it go? The government spent every single penny and replaced it with unfunded IOUs. Right now, the government is borrowing money to cover presently due IOUs in the Social Security and Medicare programs. This is unsustainable – we are past the bottom of the Ponzi pyramid and are now digging a deep hole under it. The unfunded liabilities of Social Security and Medicare exceed $116 trillion – about eight times the US GDP, or nearly 1 1/2 times the total national assets.

      Like it or not, Clint, Social Security cannot keep its present form. The only question is whether we will have an orderly change to another system or whether we will let Mr. Obama, Senator Ried and their friends drive the system over the cliff into total economic ruin. I might note that if we had not let those clowns scare us away from fixing the problem when Newt Gingrich et al. proposed making the change fifteen years ago, the solution would have been much less painful.

      Do a small experiment. Take a listing of all your SS “contributions” for each year and pretend that you invested them in a DJ index fund that year. Return all earnings to that fund. Sum up all the years you have “contributed” with that compounded interest. I am “retired”, and draw SS, but my return on such an investment would be 2 1/2 times my present SS income, PLUS I would have a portfolio of nearly a million $ to pass on to my kids. Almost all people living on SS would be millionaires. This is what is meant by private investment.

      Ron Paul scares the MSM because they fear Free Markets. With Free Markets nobody is assured to keep their position in the hierarchy. Media Moguls fear the competition for at least two reasons. One, being owners of Big Companies themselves, they don’t personally want the competition. The other is that they hang out with other moguls, and they don’t want their buddies to be subject to the vagaries of competition either.
      With Free Markets you must constantly innovate to be secure. With Free Markets you could be Top Dog one year, and the next year be a Has Been.
      It’s much easier for moguls to buy off their favorite Politicians and get regulatory rules passed to stifle their competition.

      Buckeye, you OBVIOUSLY know little about the Great Depression. Yes, many were unemployed and a large part of it was caused by another “bubble” created by the stock market.

      What you fail to realize, we are already in a “depression”…the problem is the politicians use their “creative” reporting method and no longer report the unemployment numbers as they once did.. If they did, people like YOU, would realize, very quickly, we are in some serious trouble just as we were, back then.

      Keep in mind, it wasn’t the everyday person that was jumping out of skyscrapers…it was the rich who didn’t know how to function in the “real” world.

    Go Paul! I’d for one prefer to put my SS income tax into a secure retirement fund instead of this bull the government pulls. I’m sick of paying money for a retirement program I know I’ll never get to use. He should cut those for life pension and healthcare benefits that the fat cat politicians enjoy too, and start stripping their salaries down to be commensurate with their actual job performance.

        Ron also wants to abolish the Federal Reserve.
        Between 1760 and 1913, the value of the dollar actually increased (as it should be). Since the Federal Reserve was created, the value of the dollar has decreased 95%. That means that what cost a nickel in 1913 would now cost $1.00. Or in other words, you would have been able to buy 20 times the goods and services with $1.00 in 1913 as you can now.
        Pity the people who have scrimped and saved all their lives only to see the value of their nest-egg inflated away.

    His thoughts are certainly good to hear, sadly he will not be able to enforce or enact all the proposed actions. Social Security is a good program and if they quit stealing money from it, it will be there for those who need it for countless decades down the road. As for the Presidential salary pay cut, let’s be realistic. Does the President pay for the Utility bills at the White House? How about the Grocery bill? What do we as citizens really know about the perks that come with the position? When all the extras are thrown in, what is the tab to the USA per year for the position of President?

    As for Ross Perot; if all the people that said they were going to vote for him actually did, he most likely would have won the bid by popular vote.

      Salary is just the tip of the iceberg; how much does just one “date night” in NYC cost? Then you have all the vacations that cost millions.
      Ron would put a lot of people out of work, and they would have to get an honest job, where they would be required to do something useful.

      I would fear for Ron’s life if he were elected President; since he isn’t beholding to the internationalists, like all the subversives that want one world government. Funny how things change, just a short time ago, we were called black helicopter, for exposing these people’s agendas, where now they tell all that will listen, exactly what there agendas are.

      I really don’t think these perks are recorded (except in one of those ‘hidden’ books) which brings up my position. We have to pay for the welfare (yes! I said ‘welfare’) of all politicians.. Do you think they buy their own gas to get to work? Or pay out of pocket for trips to Cancun in order to “mull over” the directions the g’ment has put upon zambuzi (or where ever) now that it’s in America’s interest? These politicians (on the whole) are the rich everyone is nagging about.. Their focus should be on power, not power and more wealth. So, these people should not be paid a yearly paycheck for more than $1.00.. After all, it’s the power and prestige their seeking.. the money is that cherry on top. Eliminate the political payroll and you’ll find people running because they want to make a difference.. Then of course, instead of a bloated retirement program that they didn’t put a dime into, they should receive the maximum social security that all Americans are limited to (beyond their own personally invested retirement efforts).. End the perks of after-serve and don’t allow s.s. until the actual retirement age and not merely when they get out.
      Can no one see that not only are we allowing these political crooks to screw us over, but we’re paying them big money for their efforts.

        If I President, I would just work to end any welfare benefits whatsoever to anyone who is not a US citicen, period. Churches, soup kitchens, etc., would be free to provide meals to them as is their right to engage in charity. The only exception would be hospital emergency room service for an illegal who has life threatening injuries, but then they would be handed the bill, and taken out and deported by force if they can’t pay it.

Just end all welfare benefits, anchor baby benefits, colledge benfits, etc. and punish workers with extreme fees if they are found to be hiring illegal labor.

Except for cave-dwellers who have been otherwise occupied, it is a well-known fact that Social Security’s reputation is exactly equal to the efforts of Congress and multiple administrations to gut, cripple and almost destroy it.
    According to the Supreme Court’s affirmation in Flemming v Nestor, 363 US 603 (1960), ‘a taxpayer doesn’t have a contractual right to collect specific Social Security benefits.’ In other words, and contrary to what generations of worthless SOBs in Washington have been telling us for years, just because you expect to be “covered” by Soc Sec when you need it, it is NOT owed to you, and the odds are that it WON’T be there when you’re old and ready for retirement.
    Get ‘em, Ron Paul. The cat is out of the bag, and we’re stuck with a prez who thinks spending money we don’t have is an act of genius. It’s time to make obvious and clear some deadly comparisons so our ‘young’ people can see that Uncle Scam has much in common with corporations that Uncle Scam pretends to hate.
    In fact, Uncle Scam has all but morphed into the same monstrosity as Mussolini’s Italian Fascism. Take no prisoners, Ron Paul. You’ll get one chance. Please don’t pull a ‘Ross Perot’ on us.

      While I personally have not used this system in any form yet contributed some $130,000 dollars over a 63 year period, I know many that have and still do. Without it , life would be most difficult for many. It’s not government money but the peoples money and funded by your & my contributions.

      I seen no reason to insist people be a part of this program as long as these people recognize the fact that in their aging years they must be self sustaining and it will not be the responsibility of government or the collective to supply their needs and deal with their final remain. They must realized regardless how old and tied they become they shall comply with guide lines of human disposal and burial.

      For a $130,000.00 you can call me a caveman all day long. I’m left to be “required” to place my faith “somewhere” and in something. I’ll hold pat but I realized I must guard it or the wolf will get in. And you will too, regardless in what you decide to do.

      I’ve heard many things about Social Security , both good and bad.

      But one thing is for certain, it is a very huge block of money collected to address the social needs of an aging population and the private sector is trying to capture as much of it as could be made possible,~ and that includes leveraging it.

        Soc Sec is a prime example of why people can’t afford to have faith in career politicians. For many years, Washington’s main philosophy is to worship and practice power, and it is used against the American people – even naive, childish followers of FDR and all who followed in his corrupt, freedom-hating footsteps.
        If you have a problem with how Soc Sec is administered (or protected or ‘insured’), take it up with the #^&*$ in Washington who think FDR was a demigod.

        for once, and believe me it does NOT happen often, I have to agree with BW. I have deposited into social security all my working life. Had the crooked politicians kept their hands out of the proverbial cookie jar, the plan would be solvent for another 25 to 35 years. I am 61 years old and will soon be able to take some of my money BACK so if you want to let the youngers opt out fine, just replace the IOUs with some green and let the people 55 and up have it BACK!!!

        Exactly right. I did not “contribute,” as some here euphemistically like to phrase it. It was taken from me since long before I could vote or even understand the relevant statutes (seven years, in fact). One argument I hear is that useless old people are living longer these days thanks to modern miracles of medicine, so I’m somehow partly to blame for the collapse of the system. A political ruse to justify theft of my “investment at gunpoint.”

        I’ve yet to receive check or Benefit One from the system, into which I paid $250,000 over the last 50 years. Not one dime have I seen. And this amount does not include cost-of-living increases, that’s what their records (and mine) indicate was taken from me year-over-year, and promised back to me. Till now. Now they are threatening to keep it.

        Since Bernanke and Friends are burning the midnight oil printing greenbacks to “stimulate” the economy, perhaps they might crank out the quarter mil they admit they owe me. I’ll happily drive over and get it and deduct the mileage on next year’s income tax. I’ll take it all now, and never darken their door again. No worries that I may live to be 107 on life support and “cost the taxpayer.”

        Just give me all my money back, today, and shut the ef up and I will happily do the same. No adjustments for inflation, no cost of living increases, just give my money back. I’ll take it from there, and happily sign a Quit Claim to that effect.

        Social Security is Immoral and it is Unconstitutional. Nobody, not even those in the Government, has a right to take our money “for our own good”. To do so is theft, plain and simple. And the Federal Government does not have the Constitutional Power to take care of us in our old age.
        But the fact is that the Government has spent the money they were supposed to use to “protect” us. So, even disregarding the Unconstitutionality and Immorality of Social Security, it has been an outright scam as administered by Government.
        If you want to be protected in your old age, Bob, buy an annuity, accumulate real-estate, or build some other assets to tide you over. But don’t force other people to do things your way.

I’m sorry, but this is one area you and I part company on. That money was STOLEN from people all of their adult life without option and it should stay there for at least all over the age of 55!!

      A number of countries have been using government regulated private investment accounts with great success instead of Social Security’s “pay as you go system”. In these countries, people get more back in retirement for the amount invested than with a “pay as you go” system like Social Security. I’m sure Ron Paul would be strongly supportive of switching the US from our present Social Security system to one where regulated investment accounts would provide Americans with better retirements. Ron Paul is also opposed to prescription laws that make health care costs higher than necessary. People can take care of many of their own health care needs if they have the freedom to take care of themselves without having to pay for unnecessary office visits to doctors. My own experience has been that for people with chronic conditions, seeing a doctor every six months is a simple waste of money. Without prescription laws, people would see doctors when they wanted to, not when the doctor wants. We must not forget that the more a doctor “doctors”, the more money he or she makes…

        SMS, what you left out is the idea that a taxpayer can’t whiz and moan or expect to have any contractual rights to collect ANY specific Soc Sec benefits. Ergo, just because you may have paid into it for decades does NOT mean that you’ll get what you were told you’d get. And for that, Congress – and a lot of prezzes – should have been hung or shot.

      The problem is: Social Security is already a voluntary program. So what explains his ignorance here…..since all he really has to DO is provide people with the TRUTH. 26 CFR 31.3402(p)

      PART 31—EMPLOYMENT TAXES AND COLLECTION OF INCOME TAX AT SOURCE
      Subpart E—Collection of Income Tax at Source

      § 31.3402(p)-1 Voluntary withholding agreements.
      (a) In general. An employee and his employer may enter into an agreement under section 3402(b) to provide for the withholding of income tax upon payments of amounts described in paragraph (b)(1) of §31.3401(a)–3, made after December 31, 1970. An agreement may be entered into under this section only with respect to amounts which are includible in the gross income of the employee under section 61, and must be applicable to all such amounts paid by the employer to the employee. The amount to be withheld pursuant to an agreement under section 3402(p) shall be determined under the rules contained in section 3402 and the regulations thereunder. See §31.3405(c)–1, Q&A–3 concerning agreements to have more than 20-percent Federal income tax withheld from eligible rollover distributions within the meaning of section 402.

      (b) Form and duration of agreement. (1)(i) Except as provided in subdivision (ii) of this subparagraph, an employee who desires to enter into an agreement under section 3402(p) shall furnish his employer with Form W–4 (withholding exemption certificate) executed in accordance with the provisions of section 3402(f) and the regulations thereunder. The furnishing of such Form W–4 shall constitute a request for withholding.

      (ii) In the case of an employee who desires to enter into an agreement under section 3402(p) with his employer, if the employee performs services (in addition to those to be the subject of the agreement) the remuneration for which is subject to mandatory income tax withholding by such employer, or if the employee wishes to specify that the agreement terminate on a specific date, the employee shall furnish the employer with a request for withholding which shall be signed by the employee, and shall contain—

      ( a ) The name, address, and social security number of the employee making the request,

      ( b ) The name and address of the employer,

      ( c ) A statement that the employee desires withholding of Federal income tax, and applicable, of qualified State individual income tax (see paragraph (d)(3)(i) of §301.6361–1 of this chapter (Regulations on Procedures and Administration)), and

      ( d ) If the employee desires that the agreement terminate on a specific date, the date of termination of the agreement.

      If accepted by the employer as provided in subdivision (iii) of this subparagraph, the request shall be attached to, and constitute part of, the employee’s Form W–4. An employee who furnishes his employer a request for withholding under this subdivision shall also furnish such employer with Form W–4 if such employee does not already have a Form W–4 in effect with such employer.

      (iii) No request for withholding under section 3402(p) shall be effective as an agreement between an employer and an employee until the employer accepts the request by commencing to withhold from the amounts with respect to which the request was made.

      (2) An agreement under section 3402 (p) shall be effective for such period as the employer and employee mutually agree upon. However, either the employer or the employee may terminate the agreement prior to the end of such period by furnishing a signed written notice to the other. Unless the employer and employee agree to an earlier termination date, the notice shall be effective with respect to the first payment of an amount in respect of which the agreement is in effect which is made on or after the first “status determination date” (January 1, May 1, July 1, and October 1 of each year) that occurs at least 30 days after the date on which the notice is furnished. If the employee executes a new Form W–4, the request upon which an agreement under section 3402 (p) is based shall be attached to, and constitute a part of, such new Form W–4.

        Oh but I have, dear……I have also used promissary notes to pay fines…..good ole Article One, section ten. Haven’t filed a tax return since 82 maybe, not sure when I stopped…..and haven’t spent a day in jail because of it.

        No case have ever been heard on Article One , section ten and there never will be one…….

        As for the reg above and the precedent that exists….imagine how that judge feels……..and that’s the POWER….YOU HAVE.

        Well that clears that up. Nice to know that every child starting his first paper route has this so clearly spelled out to him, so he can explain it to his adult paper route manager and those who employ him subsequently. Just explain on your next job application that you refuse to pay taxes or SS or FICA. Impress your new boss right up front.

        Amazing how so few Americans know all this (and are willing to opt out, since it’s so carefully explained in plain language and bold print everywhere you look; heck, even the judges who have the power to put you away for tax fraud know this stuff, right?).

        The fact remains, whether we knew we could opt out or not, they took the money. They didn’t tell us it was to be used for undeclared “wars” and $300 toilet seats installed by no-bid contractors, they told us we’d get it back upon retirement.

        It does not matter in the slightest that our current “leaders” inherited a corrupt system created in the 1930s. They have benefitted by it and are still benefitting by it. If they think they can afford to bail out car companies and investment banks, perhaps they can also afford to pay us our money back as they and their predecessors have said they would. Many people have based a significant portion of their retirement plans on getting that money back, which they paid in in good faith.

        Some of you have said here these people should have done the sensible thing and provided for their future in the possible event they were being ripped off by the very country they’ve voted in, even risked their lives for. Even though the harder they might have labored, the more they were paying in, for the privilege of being ripped off.

        Sounds rather ass-backwards to me. To be a hardworking American patriot, contributing to the system, all the while planning for the day when that system betrays us all. Who does that? Why should we expect the average American to do that?

      I agree with you, but the powers that be will not let Paul be nominated. He would take too much power from them. That said, I think Ron Paul is the only solution to the countrys problems right now. The only other alternative I see is Cain, and the Machine won’t let that happen either. The republican Party wants Romney. I think if Paul or Cain were nominated either of them could win. With Romney all you get is another loser of the same caliber as what we have in the White House now.. I could be wrong but i don’t think so..
