Ron Paul Supporters Decry Media Bias
October 12, 2011 by Sam Rolley
The mainstream political establishment and the media are terrified of Texas Congressman Ron Paul’s popularity among Americans who are frustrated about “business-as-usual” politics, the candidates’ supporters point out.
On ronpaulforums.com, posters put on display the mainstream media’s collective effort to discredit every victory that Paul enjoys. A series of screenshots from various news media sources reporting on last weekend’s Values Voter Straw Poll are posted on the forum, each of the stories indicate that Paul won by accident or trickery.
The Washington Post, FOX, CBS, POLITICO, The Atlantic, Business Insider, The Daily Beast, New York Magazine, Hot Air, MSNBC, The Associated Press, The Boston Globe, Forbes and several more well-established news media outlets all implicate Paul as a kook, fringe candidate and poll cheat.
Jack Hunter, who writes the PAULITICAL TICKER, took note of the media’s penchant for ignoring Paul:
“I’ve often joked that when Ron Paul gets to the White House, the media will declare the presidency irrelevant and focus on how Mitt Romney, Rick Perry and other establishment candidates represent the future of the Republican Party.”
