Nanny-State Insanity

October 12, 2011 by

Nanny-State Insanity

Look up insanity in the dictionary and a photo of California and that State’s Governor, Jerry Brown, are probably next to the word. If not, they should be, for there is no other explanation for two recently passed laws in that State.

The youngest legal age for using a tanning bed has been raised from 14 to 18, and children 12 years or older can obtain a vaccination “treatment” for sexually transmitted diseases without parental consent. This is nanny-state insanity.

And while Brown preens over protecting the “privacy” of children, he vetoed away the right of privacy for adults who are arrested by police. He struck down legislation that would have required law enforcement to obtain a warrant before searching the cellphones of arrestees.

Correction: Autism is a direct link to vaccinations. The ratio 30 years ago was 1 child in 25,000 become autistic. Today 1 child in 58. becomes autistic. If you do not believe me Google: Autism.

    • Al Sieber

      I’ll second that.

      • Ronbo

No, that’s your third drink Al.

Logic and reason don’t lead to immunizations as the cause of anything other than reduction in disease. The moon also rose during that time, are you going to blame the moon also?

      • OldNYFirefighter

In this case I have to agree with you (that surprises me). The ingredient that many thought may contribute to autism is a preservative that is put in vaccines to kill bacteria or other micro organisms. The name thimerosal. It does contain a type of mercury, which was thought might cause neurological problems. It doesn’t contain Methyl-mercury, which is toxic, but does contain Ethyl-mercury, which is non toxic when injected in similar amounts to Methyl-mercury. It is no longer used for children 6 months of age or less. The difference between Methyl & Ethyl mercury is similar to Methyl-alcohol compared to Ethyl-alcohol. Methyl-alcohol is wood alcohol & is extremely toxic, while Ethyl-alcohol is in beer & wine, as well as other alcoholic drinks. Scientific studies have found no link between thimerosal & autism. The Mercury was thought to be the culprit, but mercury poisoning does cause neurological problems, but not anywhere similar to autism. So far there has not been a link, that said, vaccines can cause severe allergic reactions. I personally can not have Tetanus Antitoxin (severe allergic reaction) I must have one not made from a horse serum. So vaccines can have unintended results if there are allergic reactions to the type of serum used in their production. From every scientific source I have found, they have found no evidence of autism being caused by either the vaccine itself or the thimerosal used to preserve it. So far Scientists haven’t found a cause for it that is conclusive. Study it yourself, don’t take my word for it, as the information is out there.

      • libertytrain

There’s also the theory of the bombardment of vaccines. Not like when we were kids…when we just got one at a time and spread out.

    • Max

Were they using the same definition and standards for defining autism 30 years ago? (I would be astonished if they were.) Do you trust CDC statistics more than you trust Federal inflation, unemployment and other statistics? (If so, why? If not, why not?)
      -
The POINT is that “Government” at all levels is stealing our liberty. They have distracted you with details that “they” don’t give a d*** about. Killing people (or not) with side-effects just gives them more ammunition to steal more liberty. GOT it yet??

  • Joe Adkison

I am sure God has spoken to lots of people there about the need to escape this evil place. The ones who read this without dismissing it as foolish, I pray for you and your families and your friends. Bad things are coming for California. My heart breaks for those who don’t have an avenue of escape.

  • rosina

THE MORE I READ ABOUT THE ‘DEMOCRATS’ THE MORE I BELIEVE THAT SO MANY ARE INSANE!
CHAMPAGNE SOCIALISTS OR OUTRIGHT MARXISTS, THEY think of nothing but themselves and how they can reduce the populace to outright slaves.
The way it is going, this country is no longer the land of opportunity so many seek. Those who already fled tyranny are now wondering whether they came to the right country!!! It ALWAYS WAS BEFORE? JUST WHAT IS GOING ON?
WHY did we bother to fight Hitler and the Communists just to embrace the same systems here? After so much blood was spilt to annihilate the madness of communism and nazism=national socialism
we should know that socialism and communism are evil.
So, how to stop it now? WHO WILL SAVE US NOW?

    • 45caliber

Conservatives make decisions based on “learned experience”.

Liberals make decisions based on “Expected outcome”.

Basically, what this means is that a conservative makes a decision to do something based on what has happened in the past while a liberal makes their decisions based on some fantasy of utopia with equal rights for all. And according to several psycholgists when you deal with fantasies, you ARE insane!

      • Ronbo

Learned experience? We invaded Iraq and Afghanistan after we were attacked by those coming from Saudi Arabia. Those Republicans seems to have neither learnin’ nor experience.

How’s those wars going for ya?

    • ALL AMERICAN

      Lord help us.

      • OB1

        He is.

      • Ronbo

He brought us Obama, the third Bush administration. I think God hates us all for killing innocent people in Iraq.

  • nick beck

i just moved to ca. WHY well i intend to cheat on all taxes if any possibility exists-undermine all government positions – do everything in my power to bring this state DOWN as soon as possible. CA. is where the battle will begin. It will be won or lost here. I ask all of you that left to come back and put your balls [ if you still have any ] on the table so to speak, and do the same. Running will only postpone things and bring the problem to your new area and IT will be bigger WHEN it gets there.

    • Les

You’ll have lots of help from the politicians.

      • Ronbo

Which politicians? You are supporting law-breaking. Are you the person who pushes these nitwits to commit crimes?

  • wayne Hales

Also Autism is a direct link to vaccinations. 50 years ago we had about 59 out of 25,000 and now we have about 59 out of every 100 who develop Autism. The doctors pushing vaccinations for the drug companies are not going to tell this because they are in it for the money. There are many Alternative doctors and Scientists who know this fact and have the integrity to tell the truth. All you have to do is to research it on the internet.

    • Ronbo

I just couldn’t be the pollution and increased chemicals in our environment. No! It’s got to be the vaccinations. What else could it be?

(a case of pure ignorance, perhaps)

      • libertytrain

I guess that explains why the Amish don’t have the same percentage of problems.

  • Mike P

The best solution : Just give this Land of Fruits and Nuts back to Mexico. They have already occupied it and should be saddled with the burden.

    • 45caliber

      Naa …

Just ignore them when they plead for more money. Let them live in their own mess.

    • OB1

I don’t even know why I’m doing this; perhaps my respect for Bob Livingston. I think he’s very brave. I went to a school board meeting many years ago in the strongly Latino area of town where the wealty also went to public high school (irony). The room was packed with both Latino and wealthy parents who were concerned and worried. Why? Because the topic was birth control and abortion available to teens through out the %%%%&&&&& school system! Those Latino parents were BOLD and outspoken, saying things like “you are destroying our beliefs, our values and our culture! They were passionate, well spoken (broken English) and upset. Next time you east a salad or spinach (broccoli!) or a tomoto, please remember they have been high jacked an BETRAYED by the Democratic Socialist Party! Marco Rubio knows this quite well. Rebt the DVD of Roger Rabbit if you want a clue to what this is, or China Town…with Jack Nicholson. But facts, backed up by data will win out. Get out of your seat and start talking to you neighbors. i DON’T CARE what state your in….coming to a town near YOU!

  • Les

Socialists always practice altruism with other people’s money.

Altruism – the principle or practice of unselfish concern for or devotion to the welfare of others.

Mind you, they always peel a little bit off the top for themselves. They call that the price of their servitude. Just like the Federal Employees that manage welfare end up with 75% of the money that is supposed to go to needy individuals. SEVENTY FIVE PERCENT!!!!

    • 45caliber

      Les:

I’d be happy if it was ONLY 75%! The last I heard it was over 90%. But that figure came from another branch of the government rather than the Welfare Department. GOA, I believe.

      • Ronbo

Stop listening to those voices in your head. They are pure ignorance.

  • wayne Hales

    Hay Frank:
Google: Gardasil Memorial and see how many young females have died from the Gardasil vaccination and the somewhat 22,000 with a negative reaction to the Gardasil vaccination. You are not oblivious to the truth are you?

    • CP

Yes, Wayne, do check out your references yourself. It seems that very few deaths have occurred even halfway related to Gardasil, with NO positive links established yet. The twenty two thousand adverse reactions is pretty close to what you get with any vaccine, considering there have been close to a thousand times that many doses of the vaccine given. If you have had as many vaccinations as I have, I imagine you have had a sore arm or two following one or more, and that would be counted as an adverse reaction. As far as the deaths following vaccination, some of those were akin to getting a shot, then getting hit by a car on the way home from the clinic. Did the death follow the vaccination? Yes. Was the death CAUSED by the vaccination? Probably not. Still, it counts as a death following vaccination.

      • Mark Are

PLEASE CP…TAKE all the VACCINATIONS you want. Just don’t try to force them on my or my children because I will personally put a barrel of a .44 magnum in your mouth and pull the trigger.

      • ph

        @ Mark Are…I like that

      • Ronbo

So how does it taste? Or did it blow out all your tastebuds along with your brain?

      • Capitalist at Birth

Whether or not my children receive a vaccination is my choice not the states, when those vaccinations can cause negative life threatening effects. There have been at least 78 deaths from Gardasil vaccinations. Check it out at Health Science Institute run by Dr. Jenny Thompson who is a cervical cancer survivor. If you choose to remain ignorant, that is your choice.

      • Ronbo

May your children get smallpox. I hope you don’t pass your ignorance on to them.

      • eddie47d

They totally over look that part of the equation Ronbo.I do believe that Gardasil should be a personal choice but… They won’t admit the millions of lives that have been saved through vaccinations so they all become evil or drunk on stupid.

      • libertytrain

Gosh, what a kind and gentle soul you are… another shining example of humanity. Wishing ill on children…huh.

  • slapjack

Just look at the NIMRODS they keep electing to the house of representatives that constantly make normal Americans miserable. Give all illegals fruitcakes and welfare recips a one way ticket to California ASAP. They need more Loonies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • 45caliber

      slapjack:

LOL. At one time a city in NY state DID give those on Welfare a one-way ticket to La-La Land. They would show those receiving the money that they could get more out there. The Supreme Court came down hard on that. The SC said that it wasn’t fair to ship them out – they had to keep them and take care of them instead.

    • Ronbo

I see you have lost your lithium prescriptin. I didn’t think the Doctors allowed you to self-prescribe Rush Limbaugh after that last messup with the boys, Viagra and island hopping.

    • Tompops

The problem started with Pappy Brown. During his reign the Democrats gor a majority. During the Restructure after the Census, The lines of the districts were wredrawn to insure that the Republican’s would never ever get a majority in either House. An example is that thwe heavily Democratic City of Malibu is connected with a thin strip of land to a coastal City 150 miles North. The Area of Bakersfield was aligned with La. In the area where I live Novato was connected to Vallejo and Concord both Democrat, and Novato was Republican. The redistricting has held a lock on the state for all these years. Arnie had a law pushed through to make up a commitee to redistrict the State, but the legislature never funded the project. There are alot of Conseratives in the State but our voices are never heard.

  • Michael Green

There has always been some that argue that California was taken from Mexico illegally as a result of the U.S. war with Mexico. I’m all for giving California back!

    • 45caliber

I’m going from memory but …

Actually, California was bought from Santa Anna by the people there at the time. It was then taken directly into the US since they didn’t trust Santa Anna to not go back on the deal after he’d spent the money. If I remember correctly it was $10 mil.

The ONLY land that you might say was taken from Mexico was Texas. And it wasn’t taken by the US. It was taken by the residents of Texas, including most of the Spanish living here at the time. The rest was bought.

      • OB1

Correct.. However, it was John C. Fremont who boonswaggled this deal they called The Bear Flag Republic. Not a shot was even fired. Check out Jesse Benton Fremont’s father who was a rather interesting creep….
Jesse Benton Fremont was indeed a trooper on her own, but times were different then. Her father was a p?&. Fremont was not all you thought he was. He WAS an opportunist, plain and simple. Funny (not), the largest population of Muslims in California are in Fremont (curse or Karma)…

  • Twocentsworth

Nice state to visit but wouldn’t want to live there Huh? Didn’t they vote no on gay marriage? Hollywood doesn’t help them out any and as pointed out illegals abound so theres a lot dragging them down. Doesn’t look hopeful.

    • Walt

Under the terms of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, negotiated by the U.S. & Mexico, Mexico ceded to the United States Upper California and New Mexico. This was known as the Mexican Cession and included all of present-day California, Nevada and Utah as well as most of Arizona, New Mexico and Colorado. Mexico relinquished all claims to Texas and recognized the Rio Grande as the southern boundary of the United States.

The treaty provided for the Mexican Cession of 1.36 million km² (525,000 square miles) to the United States in exchange for $15,000,000 equivalent to $380 million today). The Treaty also ceded an additional 1,007,935 km2 (389,166 sq mi), since Mexico had never officially recognized either the independence of the Republic of Texas (1836) or its annexation by the United States (1845), and under this calculation, Mexico lost about 55% of its prewar territory.

The U.S. also agreed to take over 3.25 million dollars (equivalent to $82.2 million today) in debts that Mexico owed to American citizens.

      • 45caliber

And if I remember correctly the reason for that was that Mexico couldn’t control that land due to bandits and the ranchers (many of whom were of Spanish decent) who refused to allow Mexico to collect taxes from them. They decided to sell it so the stupid Yankees could be saddled with the problems.

      • John Haines

        Right on “45″
If mexico hadn’t sold the lower states to the USA they would be a waste land just like the rest of Mexico. The problem lies in the fact that there was no European influence when Mexico was settled. Yes you can argue that Spain landed there in 1521. However their main interest was gold and they murdered any natives that got in there way. In Europe, Spain is largely considered the Northernmost African country. Walk the streeets of Madrid but watch out for the dog crap and try not to stumble over the beggars. Or take a ride in the country and enjoy the trash filled ditches and waste filled streams.

    • OB1

      Who controls Hollywood…..good question ehhhh??????

      • Ronbo

Money! Who controls you? Money. Is that why you dropped out in the second grade and breathlessly follow Faux News?

  • Steve Jarrett

Jerry Brown is an idiot who thought it would be a sign of the progressive way of thinking that he ran for President while dating Linda Ronstadt openly, just like the idiot from Colorado who had an affair with Donna Whats-her-face with all his talk about “new ideas”. People of this ilk have no business serving the public, mainly because they don’t serve, they all want to be king someday, and have the attitude to go with it, just like Big Daddy O. The nutcase celebrities like Whoopi Goldberg and Oprah Winfrey who live and breathe this crap are worshipped as gods in California. Everyone who aspires to be in show business today dreams of having their following. I would rather be a snail than to be Oprah or Whoopi or anyone else like them, regardless of color or ethnicity. Those of us who still have free speech in this country had better spend every dime they can to get folks like this out of office, or the consequences to all of us could be dire. They are radical enough to support a Messiah-like person who they feel has “IT” to become a Hitleresque dictator who would commit genocide against anyone who stood in his/her way.

    • Ronbo

You are looking in the mirror! In your house, that’s where you see the truly lost.

  • tickedintexas

The best way to keep California as one and making rest of the Country a “nanny” state is to hold on to the attitude of “what can I do about it.” Then sit, do nothing and complain about it. That’ll show them!

    • OB1

Many try. Their business are threatened, then com the fines for violations of the “new” regulations. As I said before, most have moved their business out of California, but maintain their office in CA. Look, when Amazon was going to get an internet tax on every sale in CA, they have a business (small) office there only. Therefore, they are not a CA company and cannot be subject to an online proposed sales tax.
Coming to a town near you unless WE ALL (ALL!) do something about this!!!!!!!!!!!

  • frank

Has there been any documented serious reaction to the vaccine?? NO!!!

    • Airangel

Yes, Autism is being linked to these vaccines…highest vaccines in California and highest rate of Autism

      • CP

NO connection between ANY vaccine and autism. Lots of noise that there is one, but that seems to come from “research” done by one man who had his formula for a vaccine turned down by the same people who manufacture Gardasil. I suppose you would rather have your daughter come down with cervical cancer than admit she might be doing more than you think she is with people you have never even met, let alone had a chance to check out.

      • Airangel

CP..I would rather discuss options with my daughter than have some nurse giving her a shot without my consent! The way drug companies are fast tracking drugs and falsifying safety date is apalling, yes they are linking autism to vaccines and complications for individuals who already have compromised immune systems like auto-immune diseases. Vaccines are big money and big business! As with everything, what starts as a good thing becomes corrupt with greed!

      • Clint

CP, You really should take a deeper look into the vaccine industry. I have seen a video with Bill Gates where he states that within the next 10 years the vaccinations programs he generously donated to will be able to eliminate between 10-15% of the worlds population.

      • http://www.boblivingstonletter.com/ Bob Livingston

        Dear CP,

You could not be more wrong. In recent tests, 13 vials of Gardasil vaccine with different lot numbers from six countries were found to contain genetically modified HPV DNA. The samples tested positive for recombinant HPV-11 and HPV-18 residues firmly attached to the aluminum adjuvant. SANE Vax Inc. had the tests performed after an adolescent girl developed acute onset Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis within 24 hours of her last injection of the Gardasil series. http://sanevax.org/sane-vax-inc-discovers-potential-bio-hazard-contaminant-in-merck%E2%80%99s-gardasil%E2%84%A2-hpv-4-vaccine-2/ For a complete explanation of what this means, go here: http://www.naturalnews.com/033585_Gardasil_contamination.html

FDA records show 16 deaths and 3,589 adverse reactions related to Gardasil between May 2009 and Sept. 2010. http://washingtonexaminer.com/blogs/beltway-confidential/update-foia-uncovers-16-new-gardasil-related-deaths

        Best wishes,
        Bob

      • Capitalist at Birth

Gardasil does not protect anyone from cervical cancer. It is intended to protect against HPV, and it only protects against four of the 18 HPV viruses.

      • Ronbo

It’s hard to tell these people the truth – they live for ignorance.

      • libertytrain

which truth? There are so many truths….

      • skippy

Thank YOU Airangel!!! I knew there were reactions to the vaccine!! Good one!!! :)

      • OB1

Yes. And get this! Jehovah’s Witnesses get a pass on mandatory vaccinations, and guess the hell what their rate of Autism is? Any guesses out there! PROVE IT! And I am NOT a Jehovah Witness! Just google the FACTS! Document it and PROOVE it! No brag, just the facts.

      • Mac

OB1, I tried guessing, but came up with nothing. What IS the autism rate for JWs?

  • Sapphira Sez

Not that I would ever defend this Commie Kook Jerry Brown, but he did not pass these terminally stupid laws all by himself. First, the kooky population of California elected him! Second, he is backed up by a legislative body that voted FOR this stupidity before he could ever put his signature to it. All decent people need to get out of that crazy place before their children are ruined. Leave it to the kooks and Hollywonkers (but I repeat myself)and sit back and watch as they totally destroy their environment, allow illegals to swarm (oh, that’s already happened??), tax themselves into oblivion, and think up even more stupid laws.

    • ALL AMERICAN

I remember the idea of splitting CA into two states in order to allow the leftists to rot up in Norcal, while the more Rightwing Socal majority would not have to deal with the Cali SS. Although I’d like to see this happen, I know it will probably never materialize. Guess it’s just another pipe-dream.

      • Alex

A much better solution would be for California to cut the rest of this horrible nation loose—we do not need anything from any of the lesser states. As a separate nation, California would have the fifth or seventh (depending who you ask) economy in the whole wide world, something no other Blue State, and certainly none of the backwards Red States, can claim.

Crips,Bloods,Rodney King,USC,UCLA,….you actually think there are more conservatives in socal? You must be drunk.
Look, apart from the cityiots in the Gay Area, nearly all of norcal is conservative.
Sacramento(proper)is full of liberal jackasses(most of the legislators are from socal),but after you get out of the city limits, you hit agricultural land.
Whereas once you get out of bakersfield going south….nothing but cityiots. For me I think the American river should be the borderline to that same part of Mexico that socal wants to be.South of the American and highway 80 should be Calexico. That includes the Gay Area, and Sacramento.Northbay,(from the Goldengate north).Thats us in Norcal. We’ll take Marin and absorb it as our own but we’re Kicking Pelosi out on her dusty old keister.
We’ll make Chico the Capital and screw the politics of anyone who dont dig it.
We have the best cash crop available to man.
It doesnt grow any better than that.

Most of us civilized Americans out here wanted to have photo ID required in order to vote. We pushed for recounts back when Sonny Bono died and Sanchez took his place. The illegal population in this state is one of the main problems for the financial mess we are in. They get free medical attention, food stamps, and now basically free tuition into our colleges. brown and obama are synonamous with each other. Brown is responsible for saving Charles Manson’s life back when he first elected gov. Him and Rose Bird-brain. Thank god she is dead. Now we are stuck with this slime ball. Time to bail out of this state,

    • Terry Doyle

Sanchez did not take Sonny Bono’s place. His widow, Mary Bono, did and she still holds that office. Please stay more informed. However, you are correct in noting that Sanchez is part of the problem.

      • Average Joe

        Sounds like you’re describing a “Dirty”… Sanchez…lol.

      • Ronbo

No, you ate that last night. Cleaned it up likity split.

      • Average Joe

        Ronbo,
Dude, you are one seriously disgusting individual….Do you actually eat with that mouth? Do you actually understand the difference between humor and being just plain foul? When someone in politics does something that is underhanded…it’s called playing “dirty”….this guys name just happens to be Sanchez. Get it?…If ignorance is bliss…you must be one of the happiest humans ( the term human is used very loosely on you) in the universe.
Please seek psyciatric help immediately…because you are one sick individual.

      • Robert Smith

Is calling someone “sick” the same as calling them racist?

IOW, is it projection as was pointed out earlier?

        Rob

    • Matt Newell

Actually Sanchez took Dormans place. Interesting thing — it was found that a lot of voter fraud occurred in that election, but it was OK with the party in power (the Democrats) so she got placed in congress. She has been a sore spot for this state and country every since.

12 years old is way too young to even know what a vaccine like Girdasil will do. A 12yr old isn’t informed enough to even make that decision! Only a parent knows their child’s medical history, any auto-immune diseases, etc….this outrages me that any unknowing school nurse can give unlimited 12yr olds a vaccine that could have devasting consequences (even death) without consent of the parent yet parental guidance is advised for a PG-13 movie….not for a fatal shot! How moronic!

This is simply a BIG PHARMA sell out of Brown!

    • skippy

Just wondering Air….what IF the 12 year old ‘child’ has a bad reaction to this vaccine~~~??? Is the State at fault & responsible for the child? What if that reaction is life threatening?? Hmmmm…just wondering here in Ohio. Good luck CA, you need it.

      • Airangel

Why do you think doctors and Big Pharma have exemption from law suits…it’s all by design…they can do what they want for profit with zero consequences….another Democratic double standard! This is the very same thing they attacked Perry on for authorizing all those vaccines. This is the very reason we need lobbyist and special interest OUT OF GOVERNMENT DECISIONS! Maffia Medicine (Big Pharma), Maffia Unions, Monsanto who seem to now control BIG AG…they are all poisoning us and killing us with their toxicity in EVERY form! The Strong Arm of Evil is reaching into every aspect of our lives! Our bodies get drugs (poison), our livestock eat/drink contaminated toxic loaded feed/water, airborne pollutants throughout to inhale, genetically modified soy/cotton/corn/beets taking over the food supply, ammonia sprayed hamburger patties at all fast food chains, irradiated spices, fruits and vegetables….our bodies are assaulted from every level and they wonder why medical costs are sky high! We need to get back to moral decency and human kindness!

      • CP

Dunno what bubble gas you have been inhaling, but doctors most assuredly are NOT immune to lawsuits. The next time you talk to your general practitioner, ask him or her what they pay for malpractice insurance, and how many claims against them have been settled out of court because the insurance company didn’t want to spend the money to go to court to protect the doctor’s good name. Not that the doctor did anything wrong, just that it was cheaper to settle than fight the case in court.

      • ValDM

        CP,
If you had read Airangel’s post properly, the reference was to doctors not being sued or prosecuted for adminstering vaccines that have an undesirable outcome. Airangel was not referring to general malpractice.

      • Mac

Malpractice insurance is likely the root cause of the ridiculous rise in medical costs. I used to wonder why Blue Cross was so willing to pay for unnecessary hospital services, but now I realize that the higher the costs, the greater the need for health insurance. Talk about your vicious circle…

      • Carlee

Skippy, it will probably like the abortion laws that allow a child to have an abortion without the parent knowing. Something goes wrong and the parents have the emotional upheaval plus medical or funeral expenses!
I can’t believe people in this country are so willing to give up parental responsibilities. They need to be marching in the streets and showing up at the polls.

      • Average Joe

“I can’t believe people in this country are so willing to give up parental responsibilities.”"

Those are the very people who should never have been parents in the first place…….and were too stupid to take precausions against getting pregnant (males and females alike). Parenting your own children? What a novel concept….just sayin’.

      • Robert Smith

Carlee says: “Something goes wrong and the parents have …”

An abortion is much safer than carrying to term, as birth control is safer than an abortion, and if I don’t point it out others will; abstinance is safest of all.

Just ask Brystol how well abstinance works. I’ll bet her lack of education about birth control from her mother contributed to her getting pregnant.

        Rob

      • Caroline

Skippy, you have a good point there. The pharmas have protection against adverse reactions from vaccines based on contractual agreement. When you receive a vaccine they give you information (and a waiver of your rights) before taking the vaccine. They can make a contractual agreement with an adult but not with a child who is not eligible to enter a contract without parental signature. If a child is injured by a vaccine then I imagine that would amount to assault (or perhaps negligent homicide in the case of death) either from the school, school official, and/or the pharmaceutical industry itself. A good lawyer would have a field day!

      • Ronbo

More importantly, what if aliens with flying saucers abducted them?

      • Average Joe

        Ronbo,

OK, take off the tin foil hat now….it is acting like an oven…the sun is causing it to cook your brain.

    • lkar

Just a thought (and I hope to God that it is only my tinhat thinking), perhaps this is what the elites in CA want for the overwhelming immigrant population (both legal and illegal)!

    • Mark Are

      Sell out for sure.

  • Big Daddy

Looks like california will continue its downhill slide until the smart people all bail out and leave the idiots that are left to drown in their stupidity.
maybe the net slide they need is the big one that will put the new west coast in nevada and new mexico. Can’t wait

    • vulgorilla

Whoa … New Mexico is way too far East – Don’t lump Arizona in with Kalifornia. We may be next door to Kalifornia, but we’re way, way different!

      • http://comcast the fisherman

Yes sir. I moved out of calif five years ago and moved to New Mexico. Boy there is a differance here. I was born and raised in California. When i retired i got out fast. To many idiots that wanted what you work for all your life. The state open its doors and let in all sort of ilegels in and they are running that state. They can keep it

      • Ronbo

Well at least they are picking your foods, cleaning your homes and doing all that is the devil’s work. Make ‘em lazy like real Mericans!

      • libertytrain

        Are you speaking for yourself?

      • Average Joe

….And Ronbo is picking his butt…er….nose…..er…butt..er….both………..(with the same hand)

    • ALL AMERICAN

Hey jerk, there are still good and decent people here.
Should be praying for them, instead of wishing them dead.

      • Average Joe

We do…we pray that you wise up and either fix “stupid” or move out of the state(?)….of confusion…

      • Ronbo

You are fully registered in the state of Confusion.

      • Average Joe

        Ronbo,
Dang yer funny…too bad looks aren’t everything.

    • Iva Raggon

I live (for work reasons) in California. The illegals are out-breeding everyone else. They consider California “Occupied Mexico” If you think it’s bad now wait until they run the state with the wonderfulness that our southern neighbor exhibits. It is almost time to leave.

  • Jennie

So, let me see if I got this straight. The governor is “protecting” children from tanning rays; but he thinks it perfectly alright to allow them to be vaccinated for sexually transmitted diseases WITHOUT THEIR PARENTS CONSENT!?! What is he . . . a pedophile? So, let me see if I got this straight . . . twelve-year olds can have sex (thanks to the gov), but any adult can have their cell phone searched? I have a brother and a cousin who have children and live in California. I think they should come back to Kentucky. Things may not be as glamorous here, but people do have good sense. Our governor is a bit of a rube, but he would never do anything like this. Thank you, Governor Brashear. Wake up, California!!

    • ALL AMERICAN

The State of Cali needs an enima.

      • Rick

Seems to me I recall several years ago that one of the Kalifornia fads was “high colonics”. Definitely sounds like they need to figure out a way to give one on a “GRAND” scale.

      • Average Joe

We can only hope that someday soon, the “Big One” will hit…and “Mexifornia” will finally slide off into oblivion…under the Pacific Ocean. I grew up in OC during the 60′s… I am so glad that I got out….before things got even more stupid than they already were……

      • http://moses.vemma.com Dragon

When the big one hits, you will see most of the populated parts of California slide off into the Pacific Ocean, leaving most of the unpopulated parts still attached to the rest of the USA. Now, while I would not wish that on any one, that seems to me, to be the only decent solution to the blight that is affecting that state.
Then to, the people who voted those types into office, if they don’t like what is happening, then a recall election is in order.
Fortunately I live in a state which only has to worry about the occasional earthquake, (most of which register at o.7 to 1.5 on the Richter Scale.)

      • Matt Newell

I have lived in California my whole life. My take on it is that the voter fraud is probably higher than any place (other than Chicago) in the country. That is why you can’t find anyone who votes for these people (there aren’t any). When the “terminator” had that special election (with five items up for the voters) they all failed. I can understand some failures (even a majority) but all? The politicians in power don’t want anyone or anything to make them do anything they don’t want to do, so they make sure it doesn’t happen (voter fraud)!

      • Richard

The ENEMA should be inserted in San Francisco. But then, a large part of the population there would love that!! I used to drive truck cross country and I used to see quite a bit of difference. (by the way, to truckers, The San Francisco Bay Area is called, “Gay Bay.”) It was like going to a foreign country, going to America. Most of the rest of the country actually looks better than California. The only thing that California has is climate.

    • Ronbo

Yes, why save their lives? Children must die with suffering and pain. Right Jennie? Do you personally like to cause children to suffer?

      • libertytrain

Gee, while you may have read that in her comment, I didn’t.

      • Average Joe

        libertytrain,
Judging from “Ronbo’s” other posts…I am thinkin…another liberal troll has entered the kingdom…Call out the guards to vanquish the threat!….lol

      • libertytrain

Yes, another one that is proving it’s own racist tendencies and actually wished ill of the children… No shocker, they always show their true selves.

  • http://www.easyinvest.co.za peter

Ninny or nanny, makes no difference does it? Where do these governors come from? Not this planet, for sure!

  • John Carey

I am an x-Californian who had Jerry Brown as a Governor during his first term when I was a resident–his Dad as well. Now like a sore penny he is back. I gave California up in 1982–because of the eroding cultural lifestyle. Yes, I lived in Hollywood, Venice, and Santa Monica. I moved to Northwest Florida (lower Alabama) where the four letter words are work and soap–where morals, values, and ethics matter. Nothing surprises me about the governance of California or the population. California helped bring us Obama; and two lame Senators Barbara Boxer and Dianne Finestein. OMG. California and its oral majority are surely lost!

    • Proud to be a Christian

For goodness sakes, you forgot NANCY PELOSI!!!!

      • Ronbo

Yes! Pelosi is just too good of a christian. Her belief to “do unto others as you would have others do unto you” is rife with communismn. We need a good hateful Jesus banger – someone who will kill innocent persons because they want to start wars in Iraq, Afhanistan and Syria.

God hates Jesus lover who are kind and compassionate. (at least on this board)

    • http://s-lee-phil.squarespace.com Phil Essley

Not to mention the third ‘Witch of the West’, NANCY.

jerry brown is a genius. i am sure, in his earlier terms as govenor, helped propel california into its current financial state. he is an example of a perfect airhead politician. these 2 new laws will help reduce ca’s finacial mess.

i am not comparing him to the undescribable current fed admin, its not posible.

California needs to be it’s own country!

    • Barney

It is or didn’t you notice.

      • Al Sieber

Yeah! it’s called the peoples Republic of California.

      • MontieR

The correct name is the Peoples republik of mexifornia

looks like gret minds do think alike…I was typing my response as you posted yours :)

      • Average Joe

I thought it was now called,”Calico” a combination of California and Mexico….or maybe it’s, “Mexifornia”….since there seem to be illigal hispanics than Americans living there.

      • Average Joe

since there seem to be (MORE) illigal hispanics than Americans living there.

      • Ronbo

        Bigot.

      • Average Joe

        Ronbo,
        Wow, that was intelligent…not….
Ususally, the first person who accuses someone else of being a bigot (racist, etc.)…is the actual bigot.
If the truth of my original statement hurts your feelings….so sorry…but no appology. deal with it. I don’t play the silly PC games…I call it as I see it….period.

      • Robert Smith

Hey Average, I’ll remember that “accuses first” thing next time I see you yammering about gays.

        Rob

      • Average Joe

        Robert Smith,
What in the world are you talking about?..Find any post where I have ever bashed gays…any at all. I’ll give you a hint…you won’t find one…because what you do in the privacy of your own bedroom doesn’t concern me at all…I just won’t be participating. Where do you come up with this crap? You are welcome to “remember that” for as long as you are able…thnx for playing….

  • spxz

I guess Gloria Allred is proud. She was perhaps a singular figure in Brow’s win. We can’t call it a victory, as that implies it was desireable. His actions to remove citizens rights is incomprehensible, yet he showed his concern for all by upping the age for mirrored tanning. That tanning was such a social problem! Gloria, you can’t be so stupid as to believe this is what California needs as governor. Then again, attorney’s seldom care about things that affect others, unless it enriches them personally.

    • 2WarAbnVet

Well, tanning may have been a problem in California. Everything else seems to be.

    • ALL AMERICAN

      …And I am stuck in California…
      This state BLOWS !!!

      • herman

        Thought the word was SUCKS?

      • jyrine

I think it’s first blow then suck. You’ll have to check with Barney Frank on that.

    • Jwe3142

I am amazed at how everyone blames Jerry Brown for the state of affairs in California…. It is not “jerry’s fault) it is the FAULT of the Left Media and the air heads of California (whose brains have been baked by the sun) that are at fault…. They hate to raise taxes but love freebies… they hate the unemployment but support illegals in their state ( that also begs for Federal Bail out… that is OUR tax money going to support those that are too lazy and stupid to take care of their own problems) The State of California is a cancer to the rest of the nation….. Maybe a frontal labotomy would really clear their heads….

      • Lee Baldwin

I am calling YOU out, Jwe3142. I AM born and raised in the California that YOU are so jealous of and I will say WE DO NOT WANT THE FREAKIN’ ILLEGAL ALIENS here. They are using up everything at our expense and it was all given to them by the DEMOCRATS. THE DEMOCRATS Jwe3142. Now get your sorry misguided self to the polls and VOTE OUT ALL DEMOCRATS in the next elections. Just possibly some of this illegal crap will go away. RON PAUL IN 2012. the Harrison J. Bounel aka Barrack Obama aka Barry Sopetoro show is tiresome and over.

      • CJM

Like I said, Lee Baldwin, USE YOUR RECALL to get rid of Brown. Too bad Northern California has to remain a part of Southern California where all the schticks are………and ruin the entire State. I used to live there and moved from Northern Cal to Southern Cal. Finally got wise and left there for good.

      • eddie47d

You all complain about all the Mexicans in Southern California and all the Liberals in Northern California.I think you all just like to complain.

      • http://deleted Claire

Seems like the Republicans aren’t doing anything about the illegals either–I never hear them mention the subject. I did not watch the debate last night–did they bring up the subject of illegals? These debates are a farce. A lot of jibberish that doesn’t mean a dang thing.

      • John Hand

Hmmm. You say all the problems lie in Southern California? Where exactly does San Francisco sit? I thought it was considered to be in Northern California.

      • CJM

It’s the fault of the California citizens who voted their elected officials into office–they already know they can get rid of the garbage via recall since they did this to Gov Gray (who wasn’t as bad as Brown and Schwarzneggar turned out to be no better). If they don’t like the nanny laws, recall the idiots.

      • Carol J, California

Illegals who were illegally registered to vote were a big part of the election of Brown. I still haven’t found anyone I know who admits to having voted for him. The same thing goes for Miller, Feinstein and Boxer. I can’t understand how they were elected if no one will admit to voting for them. I sure didn’t. When I told a registration recruiter that the person he was registering was an obvious non-resident he told me to mind my own business if I knew what was good for me.

      • KHM

        @CJM
It was Gray Davis who was Governor before Schwarzeneggerand and if I remember correctly he was recalled.
Probably one person’s comments about Brown getting back in office were due to illegals voting were true.Certainly a lot of those who voted for Moonbeam probably were too young to have remembered his terrible previous two-term occupation of the governorship.
California has been going off the deep end for a long time. Why do you think that it has had a wealth and brain drain? People voting with their feet. The poulation gain has been immigrants, mostly illegal who are tax consumers not taxpayers.

      • karel Eekels

Yes, citizens of California and the Hollywood entertainment industry voted him in office again. No wonder that the majority of American citizens ask themselves what they are drinking and smoking!

      • Tweety2055

And the Governor is not a leftist liberal progressive? really? fooled me.

      • tyrdofnnsns

Look you jerkwad, if you knew WTF you were talkin about, you would have known that J. Brown is a staunch LEFTY and has been his entire career! Thats right, he is also a career politition… As fore anything else you wrote (or just thought up), it isnt even worth commenting on.After all, I must consider the source…

    • Richard

We, the downtrodden peons of California thank you for returning Governor Jerry “Moonbeam” Brown to power. Actually, I think he was one of the worst governors that California ever had. I am of Mexican descent. My great grandfther came from Mexico in the 1880′s. He never engaged in illegal activities. In fact he was a deputy sheriff in Texas. And a tough hombre to boot.

    • Ronbo

Mac, you actually think Gloria Alred elected Jerry Brown. Please God, ask the ignorant to finish 2nd grade!

      • John Hand

There is no doubt that Gloria Allred helped that Democrat US senator to get re-elected with her phony illegal immigrant got hired and fired ploy.

    • sickofitinca

As you can tell from my screen name, I am sick of it in CA. I am currently taking a break from packing to get out of the state while I still have a couple of dimes in my pocket. The “Moderate” Jerry Brown portrayed himself to be during his campaign has long fallen by the wayside and is now being flushed down the toilet. He insists on more taxes, not necessarily the rick either and continues to work toward the objective of making CA a sanctuary state.

I tried to get the attention of my friends prior to the last election to tell then that this leopard had not changed his spots and they wouldn’t believe me. They now have the belief that I had all along. Good luck to all of you that can afford to stay here. Believe it or not, I will pay less in taxes in NY state than I do here in CA. The ship is going down fast, with not many life preservers on board. Jump ship while there is still time. When this state goes down it will make the Titanic look like a kiddy car disaster.
