WEST VALLEY CITY, Nev., Aug. 21 (UPI) — The search for a still-missing West Valley City, Nev., mother has come to an end, police say.
The Nevada desert search for Susan Cox Powell, who has been missing for 20 months, was ended on Saturday afternoon, The Salt Lake Tribune reported.
A four-member detective team gathered evidence from remote areas of interest on Saturday morning, West Valley City police Sgt. Mike Powell said.
The search was prompted by new information received by the police department received recently.
No human remains were found during the search, leaving the woman’s disappearance a mystery.
Powell was last seen Dec. 6, 2009. Her husband Josh told police he last saw her at their home before taking their sons, then ages 2 and 4, on a camping trip.
Josh Powell is currently the only person of interest in the case.
