Witness Says Last To See Gardner Alive
ORANJESTAD, Aruba, Aug. 17 (UPI) — A dive shop owner says he was the last to see a missing Maryland woman alive in Aruba.
The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, said he saw Robyn Gardner and Gary Giordano the afternoon Gardner disappeared, ABC News reported Tuesday.
He said he later saw Giordano’s rental car near a rocky path that leads to the ocean, which he thought was an unusual place for snorkeling.
Aruban Solicitor General Taco Stein says there are inconsistencies between the timeline given by the shop owner and the one given by Giordano.
Giordano was ordered to be held in jail in Aruba for 16 more days on Monday for further investigation.
Gardner has been presumed dead by Aruba police.
