Bomb Squad Checked Boehner’s Office
WEST CHESTER, Ohio, Aug. 15 (UPI) — Authorities said they found no explosives after responding to a report of suspicious briefcases found at the Ohio office of U.S. House Speaker John Boehner.
A West Chester Township police officer noticed the three black briefcases at about 11:30 a.m. Sunday, The Cincinnati Enquirer reported.
Police and a bomb squad responded, and only papers were found inside the briefcases, officials said.
Protesters have demonstrated at Boehner’s office several times in recent weeks.
West Chester is near Cincinnati.
